Detective Conan chapter 6 : we see the client signing the contract with Kogoro and filing the form with her adress and phone number. Granted, it's the setup for a gag, but I love how mundane and practical it is. You almost never see the business part of the detective job.

Also, today excuse for Ran and Conan to be on the crime scene is : Ran wants to see what a star's room is like.

Another thing in Ran's skillset : cooking.

Kogoro Mouri is such a Yoko Okino stan.

now that I'm thinking about it Yoko is really going through because in the span of a few months she found her ex's dead body in her apartment after he committed suicide and tried to pin it on her, and one of her best friends tried to murder another of her friends because she thought she was gonna get married to her crush. then there's also the multiple murders she witnessed but I guess that's just life in Beika. idk I don't think that's what she envisioned when she decided to become an idol

Fanfic idea of the day:

Yoko okino is a member of the black organization. Her name is merlot. She's an assassin that's more or less retired to finance for the black organization after she became a big pop idol.

She has a soft spot for Mouri Kogoro and his family. She discovers Conan investigating and knows he will bring danger to his family and tries to get him to stop but he refuses and thus she begins to protect him.

Only Conan knows that there is another black organization member helping them out, he doesn't tell yoko who the moles are and she doesn't ask. But she does help them out when she can afford to.

She gives Conan heads up when there is a plan to kill kogoro (episode 425)

Ends up becoming friends with Vermouth because they both tried to protect ran and conan (episode 345)

Episode 215: The Bay of Revenge (Part 1)

Mouri’s car breaks down in front of the villa owned by “That lawyer from Tokyo who only takes cases that will get him a lot of money.” He lives there with his assistant who he likes to slap, his housekeeper who likes to make lettuce tomato pickle hamburgers and coffee with poison, and his wife, Miss Scarlett. There’s also Yohan, the watchdog with unusual fur. Yohan knows who did it. He barks at them as they speed by in their motor boat with a red baseball cap. Later Tachibana-Sensei is found capsized with no life jacket, even though he was wearing one when he left. Apparently this isn’t strange though, because many people take them off when it gets too hot. But Conan isn’t convinced because it’s winter. Then detective Baba arrives at the house. You have to take a moment to appreciate Deku Baba. His sidekick is a short man, but Deku Baba is a giant with an angular face and a long nose, who thinks that Mouri solves cases while dancing to Yoko Okino songs. They uncover that Tachibana was receiving death threats from T.K., a client from five years ago. At the end of the episode, they speed to TK’s house only to find him hanged. Conan is VERY shocked.
