And maybe when they meet up everyone sees a whole new side of them both. Because they’re just really good friends (NO ROMANTIC FEELINGS! The only romantic stuff is Yo trying to ask for relationship advice because Neito is somehow better then him with his own girlfriend LMAO).

I’ve been squeezing up brains to find Bakugou actual plot relevance… there’s so little that he may perfectly be absent. At least in the early stages. In the late late stages there’s some but for then the divergence may have fixed up.

Anyway, i kind of found a couple and here are as aks:

Will Kamimari and Mina be affected in their academic progress by Bakugou not being there tutoring them?

Aizawa showed a huge bias towards Bakugou since the beginning. Is there any other student occupying that spot? Is he still salty about the top scorer being rejected for the new rule? Given Izuku early progress in handling OFA, is he less biased against him?

Yeah it was the realization I had a number of months back that you can pull Bakugou out of basically all the early plotlines and it doesn't really effect things (hence FtE's entire existence). Even in context of the training camp attack they could have just as easily made a different student a target, like Izuku or Shouto. In contrast if Izuku isn't there, things change dramatically (which yes obviously he's the protagonist so that should be the case), including for Bakugou's own character evolution. If he succeeds when Izuku does not, his worst traits would have definitely gotten amplified and problems would have spiraled.

Like if Izuku wasn't at UA I think it's perfectly reasonable to write it that Bakugou wouldn't make it to graduation. He'd either get himself killed or expelled.

But to answer your other questions!

No, because I feel they would have found other students to help tutor them even if he wasn't there. It's just in-series it's a good means of explaining him succeeding in making friends/a social group that isn't followers ala Aldera.

There's presently not entirely a student holding that role though I would describe Aizawa as being grudgingly fond of Izuku and Neito despite himself. He actually wasn't really too salty over Bakugou's failure because he did get the point the Commission was making and it wasn't that unreasonable. His salt more related to him feeling Izuku got too many rescue points than anything else. I will say that in context of that, Izuku *wasn't* entirely wrong to suspect there was some fuckery going on with his practical score because Nedzu did want to make sure he got in and his rescuing of Uraraka made for the opening he needed. To some extent though it is also a different form of red flag the rescue points only since it does raise questions of potential martyrdom issues/lack of care of Izuku's own life versus the person he's trying to save.

Yeah Izuku's sense of heroism is utterly disconnected from Bakugou when it comes down to it. Even in the case of Bakugou his own desire to be a hero is disconnected from Izuku's existence, there's other issues specifically there (like the seriously concerning detail of how many of Endeavor's more toxic trait he happens to have when he's a kid; at least with Endeavor it's pretty clear those issues were more ones that started when he was older)

Three weeks pass by, and they are probably the most romantic weeks of your life. Hitoshi is so sweet and caring towards you. 

Since then, you’ve been on almost half a dozen dates, and Hitoshi was always courtside cheering you on at every game. 

With him by your side, it makes the idea of the upcoming championship game seem like it’ll be a cakewalk.

Shindo is excused from practice because of an unfortunate accident that resulted in a broken nose.

But of course, he can’t keep his mouth shut.

“Did you hear what (Y/n) did to Yo?”

During a practice break, Tatami, Shindos current fling of the month and vice cheer captain, whispers to her friends, “She’s the one that broke his nose.”

“No way!” one of her friends, Mai, gasps, “Why?”

“Yo said she just went off on him, she’s so weird.”

“I never liked her,” another one, Yua, comments. “She thinks she’s better than everyone else.”

“Really? She’s super nice to me,” Mai says. “Helps me with homework too.”

They look over and watch you make practice shots with Mina watching.

“If she’s so smart then why did I hear people saying she was getting tutored by some nerd a couple weeks back?” Tatami scoffs.

“What’d he look like?”

“Purple eyes and hair. Kinda buff but lanky. Always looks exhausted and hangs out with Professor Aizawa.”

“Oh, I know him! I have Biology with him! Nice guy but super quiet. Shi—something.”

Hearing the whistle blow from both coaches, both groups split up as they signaled the end of practice. Going to the locker room, Tatami and her little group kept whispering as you and Mina spoke to each other in English.

“So then I told her, if you want to meet up with him, by all means, go ahead, but don’t do anything stupid,” Mina gossips as you giggle at the weekly tea session. After a shower, you change into a pale white back tie crop top, and navy blue flared ripped boot-cut jeans. You grin as Mina hypes you up on your outfit before leaving with you.

“Where the hell is she going all dressed up like that?” Yua scoffs.

“Let’s find out,” Tatami smirks, finishing and following you and Mina.

Mina waves at you as she walks down the street with Eijirou. As the cheerleaders waited to see what you were doing, they gasped when the purple-haired nerd they mentioned earlier walked up to you and wrapped a hand around your waist, blushing as you kissed him.

“She's dating that nerd?! Also, did you see his eye? What the hell? Do you think she hits him?” Yua gasps.

“No way! She’s so sweet, she would never! And he looks really happy,” Mai replies. “Maybe we should ask her what happened? We don’t know the whole story from Shindo…."

“Why would Shindo lie to me? He loves me.”

“Does he really?”

“Oh, screw you, Mai! Of course he does.”

“Right, so he tells you that his ex just randomly beat him up, without a good reason? Oh, that’s bullshit.”

“You’ve seen her! She’s fucking crazy on the court! She kicked that girl in the shin because she got crossed. She acts like a guy.”

“Oooh, if she’s a guy, then Shindo likes dick,”  Mai snickers.

“No shame in that,” Yua shrugs. “Everyone has their preference.

“He doesn’t like dick!” Tatami growls, “And she doesn’t have one, I’ve seen her in the shower.”

“Why are you looking at her in the shower, Tatami?” Mai smirks.

“We shower together after practice, dumbass.”

“Yeah but you don’t have to look.”

“Whatever! Of course they’d be together, They’re both weirdos.”

Mai sighs, “I think they’re cute together. They seem to be good for each other.”

“Ugh, let’s just go,” Tatami walks off with her mini posse after her.

“So where’re we going Hitoshi?” You ask your boyfriend.

“Well, I was thinking about this cat cafe downtown that I used to go to.”

“That’s so cute!” You squeal, “I’d love to.”

“We have to take the bus though.”

“That’s fine. Do you have any pets? You seem to really like cats.”

“Sort of. There’s this cat that is a stray, but she sleeps just beneath my window. She’s pretty cute. Her name's Luna.”

“Cuter than me?” you tease.

“See for yourself,” he smiles, showing you a photo of a gorgeous fluffy black cat with golden eyes.

“Wow, she really is pretty. Guess I have some competition, huh?”

“No, she’s pretty friendly. I think you’ll be fine.”

Cooing over the cat photos, you almost miss your bus. 

“C’mon, babe,” you smile.

After about a ten-minute ride, you and Hitoshi get off the bus and find yourselves at a cozy little cafe with an outside area for the cats.

Holding your hand, Hitoshi smiles at you as he leads you into the cafe. Smiling at the lady behind the register, you watch as she rounds the corner and hugs Hitoshi.

“Hitoshi! Oh, it’s been so long since I’ve seen you! How's school? How’s your family? Oh, who’s this?”

“Hi, Mrs. Nakumura. School’s good. My parents are okay. This beautiful woman, she’s my girlfriend,” he smiles, swooning internally.

“Hi. It’s a pleasure to meet you, ma’am. My name is (Y/n),” you smile as you introduce yourself.

“Nana, I need to make an—Oh, Hitoshi! Hey, man. It’s been a while,” a voice calls out as they walk through the staff door.

“Yeah. Hi, Neito.”

“Can we see the cats now? Ooh, unless you wanna order something first?” You ask Hitoshi.

“Yeah. That’s a good idea. Two marble pound cake slices, please. Also, a bag of cat treats.”

“That’ll be 711.25 Yen.”

“What about the treats?” you ask.

“Free of charge for a cutie like you,” Neito smirks.

Rolling your eyes, you smile politely, “Thanks I guess. I’m just gonna go sit down,” you take the little bag of treats.

Walking away with Hitoshi, you feel him wrap an arm around your waist. “Toshi?”

“I don’t like how he was looking at you. C’mon. Let’s just eat our food and meet the cats.”

“Alright,” you nod, sitting down in an empty booth.

A fat orange tabby jumps in your lap immediately and purrs loudly, “Oh my god, you’re so chunky!” you squeal. “Toshi look at this big guy!”

“He’s cute,” he smiles while you pet the cat.

“I’ll name you Fatso.”

The cat just lays down and blinks slowly, relaxed as ever.

“I’m sure he already has a name, but he seems happy. You look stunning today, babe,” Hitoshi tells you.

“Thank you,” you smile, your braces sparkling in the light, “I’m trying to change up my style.”

“I like you no matter how you look.”

“Awww,” you swoon, “You’re such a sweetheart.”

Neito comes over with the two cake slices, “Here you go,” he puts them on the table, “A big slice for the cutie.”

You shift uncomfortably in your seat, “Ew.”

Hitoshi frowns at Neito, “Dude, you’re making my girlfriend uncomfortable.”

Neito looks between the two of you, “Fuck off, she is not your girlfriend. She’s way out of your league.”

“I am,” you pipe up, “And you are making me very uncomfortable.”

Neito stifles his laugh, “No way, you’re dating this weirdo? He always comes in here by himself and just sits in the corner for hours petting cats and studying. He’s a loser.”

“God, I hate you,” Hitoshi mumbles.

You wave Neito off, “You’re kinda interrupting our date.”

Neito shrugs, “Just saying, you can do better, sweetheart.” With a wink, he walks away and disappears behind the staff door.

“Prick,” you scoff and reach over to hold Hitoshi’s hand, “You’re not a weirdo.”

He snorts, “Yes I am, and it’s cool.”

“It’s very cool. I could listen to you rant about Biochem for hours. Gets me hot. Well, it doesn’t matter. If you’re a weirdo, then you’re my weirdo.”

A pink flush spreads over his cheeks at your comment when a tuxedo cat jumps onto the back of Hitoshi’s seat. “Hey Fancy Pants,” he chuckles. 

“You call him Fancy Pants?”

“You called the tabby in your lap Fatso. Funny cause his name is Ginger.”

Looking up at the sound of his name, he trills gently as you grab a treat for him.

“Hi Ginger. You’re so cute,” you coo, letting the cat smell your hand before scratching under his chin. “Pretty boy wants a treat?”

Hitoshi ignored the butterflies that erupted in his stomach when you said those two words.

“W-What?”

“I was asking Ginger here if he wanted a treat.”

“Oh right, the cat.”

“You okay? You’re a little red,” you giggle.

“I’m good. Peachy,” Hitoshi mumbles.

“Alright,” you shrug before feeding Ginger and petting him before he gets up and climbs off your lap and sits next to you. His spot on your lap is soon replaced by a Calico.

“Aww, aren't you cute. I love calicos. You’re all so sweet,” you giggle as the cat sits down, staring at you before putting a paw on your nose. “Toe beans!”

“Yeah,” he sighs happily, “They’re up for adoption though.”

“Really? We should totally get a cat together when we graduate! We could have a little fur baby!”

“That sounds adorable but just know that I am gonna be his favorite,” he teases.

“What if the cat's a girl?” you grin.

“Then I'll have two baby girls to take care of,” he smirks, wiping cake crumbs from your mouth.

“You’re so corny,” you laugh, feeling your face warm.

“You like it.”

“Mmmm, I do. It’s sexy. Isn’t he?” you ask the cat in your lap, who just keeps purring.

Both of you finish up your cakes and play with the cats some more.

Neito comes over to clear the plates, “How was it cutie?”

“Fine,” you reply curtly, too focused on scratching Ginger's chin.

“I made it myself. Come by for more anytime.”

“I’ll keep that in mind.”

You gag when he’s out of earshot, “What a loser. Ruined marble cake for me.”

“He’s always been like that. Don't worry about him. He's not worth it. I'm sure we could make a better cake than his.”

“Can you bake?”

“Only cookies. You?”

“Yeah. It's been a while though.”

“We can learn together.”

“Yes we can,” you smile as you place a hand on top of his as you feed the calico in your lap. “Oh my, you're such a cute baby.”

After petting the cats and chatting idly with Hitoshi for about an hour, you give a goodbye pat to all the cats in your area before waving goodbye to the owner with Hitoshi.

“Hey cutie, wait up!” Neito calls out, slipping you a piece of paper. “Just in case you ever want a better option.”

“That won't happen but I'm sure there's someone out there. Not me though,” you grin before walking away with Hitoshi.

( Hitoshi Shinsou is an unknown student at U.A. who said that he's in general studies who helps Izuku eliminate his victims. I think he's doing this to get revenge on him at the end for probably having All Might's quirk, or taking his spot to be in the hero course. )

Osana Najimi - Katsuki Bakugou

( Katsuki Bakugou is Y/N's childhood friend who blames her for almost everything while walking home and school together. He also has a best friend named Eijiro who basically follows him almost everywhere, so it can be hard for Izuku to eliminate him. The best way to eliminate him is to befriend and betraying him by doing something for him that's a huge problem and in return, he has to get away from Y/N, or other ways. )

Raibaru Fumetsu - Eijiro Kirishima

( Eijiro Kirishima was used to be the club leader of martial arts in middle school until a girl named Mina Ashido beat him in a competition. After that, he quits his club and starts to hang around with his new best friend, Katsuki when he got into U.A. Don't try to challenge him because he can easily beat you. )

Amai Odayaka - Denki Kaminari

( Denki Kaminari is a jester in his class and could act a bit perverted. He met Y/N in town when he saw her sitting by herself. She explains to him that what happened between her and her childhood friend, Katsuki. He comforts her and gives her a biscuit. He loves to make her laugh. The best way to eliminate him is to poison him by putting rat poison in his lunch. )

Kizuna Sunobu - Neito Monoma

( Neito Monoma is that one student who sees himself as the most popular student at U.A. and brags almost everyone about it. Some people find him weird, and some of them find him as a king. He normally invites Y/N to be the role of Juliet for the Romeo and Juliet play his class will be doing at the festival this year. The best way to eliminate him is to crush him while rehearsing without being seen. )

Oka Ruto - Tamaki Amajiki

( Tamaki Amajiki is often really distant from people. He said that Y/N was the only one who showed him light in his heart, saying that he cast a spell on him. The best way to eliminate him is to framing him by saying that he killed someone who bullied him a lot by calling him a "coward".)

Asu Rito - Tenya Iida

( Tenya Iida is the fastest student in his class. He and Y/n are in the same agency, Manual. When Y/n got injured during a patrol, he took care of her. When she recovered, they started to train together. As the class representative, it's his job to keep the students together. The best way to eliminate him is to drown him. )

Muja Kina - Yo Shindo

( Yo Shindo is a student at Ketsubutsu Academy High School. He recently broke up with his girlfriend, Tatami Nakagame. Y/N always comfort him when they first met at Provisional Hero Licensing Exam. He helped her a lot as a team and helped her to recover sometimes as well. The best way to eliminate him is to matchmake Shindo and Tatami back together. )

Mida Rana - Shota Aizawa

( Shota Aizawa is Izuku and Y/N's homeroom teacher. Not only that he's her teacher, but he's also her private tutor. His secret is that he only did this to be with her, even though she has great grades. The best way to eliminate him is to fire him due to having a crush on a high school student. )

Osoro Shidesu - Tetsutetsu Tetsutetsu

( Tetsutetsu Tetsutetsu is Monoma's classmate. He looks like he can kill someone in a minute like Bakugou, but he has a soft heart for Y/N after he competed against her at the sport's festival. Just like Tenya, he always stayed a bit too close to her because he knows that something might happen to her. The best way to eliminate him is to expel him for school violations he "did". )

Hanako Yamada - Kota Izumi

( Kota Izumi is Y/N's younger cousin. When class 1a came for the summer training camp, Kota always kept her away from guys. He does not have a love interest for her, but he doesn't want her to have any male friends or a boyfriend, as he just wants all of her attention. The best way to eliminate him is to kidnap him and force him to stay away from Y/N and never talk to her again, or he'll die. )

Megami Saikou - Shoto Todoroki

( Shoto Todoroki is well known as Endeavor's youngest child. He is smart, strong, and popular. Y/n and his mothers were friends and wanted them to get along and be friends. Shortly after that, he wanted to save her and protect her from the incidents that have been happening. The best way to eliminate him is to torture him and mind slave him to kill himself by stabbing himself multiple times. )
