i prepared a nice dinner for when matt comes home so i can tell him the big news.

i can’t tell if he’ll be excited, shocked, or anxious. this is a big step in our lives, and i just hope he supports it

we have talked about wanting kids in the past, but we haven’t discussed goal, time, or plan.

i anticipate his arrival at the door as i let the food simmer on the stove for a little longer.

“baby? i’m home” matt says as he walks in through the front door

i go to greet him with a kiss and hug

“someone’s in a good mood today” he smiles as he sets down his stuff into the nearby office room

“you hungry? i made your favorite!” i gleefully share as he follows me to the kitchen

“duh!” he joking says, “it smells so good bae”

i prepare a plate for him before we sit across the dinner table

“how was work today?” i question

“it was great actually..”

“really? how so?” i follow up

“sucks to say but, one of the head managers of the inquiries office had gotten fired today because he violated one of the company policies, right?” he starts

“mhm” i acknowledge

“so they needed someone to take his job, and the head boss had put in a good word for me because he sees my progress in the job and says that i’ve been working hard for the last few months now.” he continues

“oh my god!! really? that’s so good baby. so what’s gonna happen?” i further ask

“well. today they had discussed it over a board meeting and went over some of my latest work to decide if i would be a good fit on the team and .. they all agreed.”

“BABY!!! that’s such great news oh my godd!! i’m so happy for you!! so you basically got promoted to the higher ups of the office right?” i proudly support

“yeah! and they’re raising my pay my 50%” he shares

“i’m so so happy for you matt!! great news all around. more money to go towards us and the baby!!” i quickly slip out

“what?” he questions

“i’m pregnant baby.”

“baby. we’re having a kid” he says as he tries to process his shock

“you’re pregnant with my baby right now, princess” he says as he pulls back from me

i see the tears starting to drip his face

“i can’t believe this baby. you’re really not lying to me?” he questions one more time

i grab his face and start to wipe his tears, “you’re gonna be a father, matt”

he lets his face fall into my hands as he brings his forehead to mine

“i can’t believe i’m about to start a family with you baby. it’s all i’ve ever dreamed of, since we were teenagers” he confesses

“i just can’t believe you’re really mine.” he says before kissing my forehead, “all mine.”

And also last weeks celly, a whole lot softer and more tender with jamarr skipping then walking straight towards joe who held his arms out for him? thats crazyyyy he was expected! he was welcomed!! he was loved!!! the way one of the fired up coach just let joemarr have their intimate little moment before slapping jamarrs shoulders in joy is also crazy to me 😵‍💫 and just this screenshot of that celly where they’re just wrapped around each other right in front of their sidelines. the fuck. watched that shit sick to my stomachhhh i had enoughhhh.

THE WEIRD CLOTHES PAIRING THING IS INSANE TO ME TOO. they do it in such subtle ways that you just think its a coincidence and you're delusional and it probably is but!! but??? they went to the game wearing yellow and purple (color coordinating lakers colors!! if i were on a date i would also do that cringy shit!!) that is also coincidentally lsu colors! another theory is they each chose to wear lakers colors without the other knowing of which this is just another case of soulmatism. the matching shoes during week 3! the sort of matching color schemes for their away game airport fits! last week both wearing rick owens apparently idk?? no idea if they've done this before this season btw i just got here lol. this is reaching ofc but very fun to think of!

jamarr being batshit crazy with his words abt joe. 'he's like a god to me' 'trying playing without my favorite quarterback' 'i told him dont scare me like that again. he knows how to slide he's just hard headed' 'im here for the future, for him. i want you to be here for the future' (this was abt joe playing through an injury :)) etc etc. something about 'just keep winning as many championships together' or like 'me and him come as package' or something fairy tale ish like that idk man he's crazy i could make something up only to be bamboozled because he has in fact said shit like it before. and like his refusal to consider anyone but joe for the no. 1 qb hhh. somebody needs to put him in an mri and study his brain when shown a picture of joe burrow bc like?? the way jake had to prove himself before jamarr even followed him on ig is ??? pls be normal jamarr i beg of u (he's perfect the way he is).

while jamarrs insane with his words, joes insane with his actions!! the lsu sec championship ball he gave to jamarr. that little look like ‘hey you want it? okay its rightfully yours' mkayy crazy ass!!! jamarrs lsu championship game worn jersey joe asked for and worn for their first game back in nola. just what the fuck went through joes mind that led to this. their dads (both named jimmy both close since lsu too, cute!) were asked about their fav joe game day fit they said the jamarrs lsu jersey 😃! in laws approving your partner of choice etc. this is jimmy chases interview regarding joemarr too btw haha. anyway back to joe being insane—the demented way joe runs to jamarr and hops around him and slams his helmet to his when jamarr makes plays. and like again this is speculation as in no citation sorry but jamarrs reason for going to cincy is definitely in part because of joe?? joe being the one to text him pack your bags you’re going to cincy is crazyyy. firmly believe joe talked him up and asked for him! when they last parted before joe went to cincy did they make a pact that they would play in a team together again? did jamarr reach out when joes 2020 season ending injurys news reached him? did he watch him go down that first time?

also during their lsu days they interviewed the wr core and they were asked abt who joe likes best (stupid ass question in my opinion btw. why would they ask that), it was so....sooooo......like jamarr was so shy and unsure!! he's like 'is it..me?' and terrace going 'he does like throwing to jamarr most' and then jamarr bursting into embarrassed laughter like okay??? okay 😭😭 fine okay be cute or whatever. in my mind back then jamarr was a whole lot more unsure of his presence in joes life because hes super young, his qb is literally 3 years older, its their first year playing together etc but i think being joe being upfront on asking jamarr to play with him in cincy (again speculation on my part no idea if this is true ha) just cements the little gremlin in his head that believes he has to be crazy about joe

their 2021 preseason jamarrs drops were apparently disgusting enough for people to shit on his entire life idk and crucify the bengals for drafting another wr but joe was so firm on his belief in jamarr! that's devotion babyyyy his clap back in the first post game presser was very much what were u saying abt the loml coded love that for them

how i would describe their relationship is ride or die with incredibly similar way of living by which i mean they live and breathe a sport they’re so talented in and they play to win and beat themselves up for doing bad in but also with the awkwardness of knowing they’re two vastly different people with different ways of seeing things and handling things but also even with that steadfast difference of being they also believe in each other in a truly outrageous way that it translates to them saying and being insane about each other (hence the list above) with little to no shame. (i hope this makes sense because im not reading all that over again wow)

like they’re so complicated to me!! by all means i don’t actually know these two or what they’re really like, but surface level they’re so different! their temperament is literally 180, joes cool and steady persona, incapable of being ruffled, closed off, moments of silliness he brings out only in certain situations, smart little quips he gives out at times like he can’t help himself vs exuberant open extroverted blustering to hide his shyness runs his mouth always down to fight jamarr chase. they couldn’t be more different! so how can they read each other so well? how can they run routes and plays with minute changes whilst running from men trying to take them down between one heartbeat to the next? how is it that jamarr is so down bad for this man that he can just say the shit he does about him? how much trust does joe have in this man that he shuts down every bad shit anybody tries to tell him or coax him to say? something about /always/ choosing the other despite everything is always a thing that attracts me to a ship.

also after that infamous kc game shove, i definitely think they had a very tough heart to heart where jamarr maybe spills his full feelings over the contract and how he hasn’t been getting the ball to actually make big plays and how his worth as a wr1 is being brought to question and joe probably spills on his own feelings on how jamarr held out so long and had last minute (?) changes of playing that week one ramps up joes own anxiety and hang ups like i definitely feel like he had some unchecked anxiety over playing with his wrist that first game that jamarr probably said something incredibly insane yet uplifting about in response. the next game its like they mended some unseen frayed stitch of their connection! first drive banger of a 41 yarder td for jamarr, two tuddys for the game in fact lol!! joe gets him his deep ball, then the insane way joe rushed at him after his 63 yarder in the next game, its like that first touchdown against minnesota again. i just wish the very best for them, to keep making these insane passes and insane runs they've been making since lsu.

I had a hell of a hard time drawing that mask, but it turned out great. Just the way I wanted it to turn out.

The alignment changed to Neutral. And from this point on, some of her views on life would have to be reevaluated, which was extremely discouraging. Melissa will become much more serious and calm, less 24/7 style jokes. More adequacy. Her skin will lighten and her hair will take on its usual human brown hue as will her eyes. The appearance of wings, of course, and a semblance of a warm glow from behind, like the aasimar's. She didn't choose this path because there was no point in bringing righteousness and law to a world that was already rotten. Easier to destroy everything… Isn't it?

Azata: "Okay, wait… What the?! Butterfly wings?! Plants on my head?! I look like a pink princess, only without the dress!" / Melissa looks extremely annoyed. No matter how hard she tried to pluck the flowers, they grew on her head again and again, covering her horns with fragrant roses. Slowly she begins to relax, realizing that it's no use. / Damn it!.. Okay, okay. I think I liked that. A little bit... Maybe bringing 'kindness' and 'freedom' isn't as stupid as I thought… Don't dare laugh!"

Chaotic-Good By the end of the game, Melissa becomes softer and kinder. But she's not thrilled with the sudden external changes anyway. You know, flowers and butterflies. The reason for her rejection of this path is simple. She doesn't believe in all that nonsense about friendship, loyalty, kindness and so on. Didn't grow up in that kind of environment. ...Azata - it's not necessarily blue colors. I just want red 🗿 No Desna. Just Cayden Cailean and Calistria!

Demon: "/ Her burning eyes reflected real rage and bloodlust. It was as if primordial chaos in all its horrifying splendor came into view. The thirst for destruction that had haunted her all her life had taken on new colors, and she was ready to carry it with renewed vigor. The girl's voice was no longer human, but rather frighteningly demonic. / I want to break someone's spine, fracture their skull, gut their insides... How ironic. All my life I've been called many things: monster, beast, demon. And now... Now I'm exactly what you thought I was. I hope you're all happy."

REALL Chaotic- Evil The saddest path for Melissa, in my opinion. Especially for a tiefling, considering they often do bad things under societal pressure. Absolute hatred for anything and everything. The appearance would be demonic.

The closest thing to her was the Demon path. Sure, it was very tempting to gain destructive power and take revenge on everyone who had hurt her, but that would be too easy. Deep down, Melissa really didn't want anything like that. If you got to know her better, you'd realize that she's not as bad as she seems at first glance.

P.S.: Yes, she has a big scar on her neck. There will definitely be pages later on about how she got it. It has to do with her death and sudden resurrection.

Day 08 - Intervention (Free Day)

Some days Rael began to understand why A’viloh thought himself cursed.

Their luck in the last months had certainly been miserable and the worst of it was that usually the next gut punch always came just when you thought things were finally going better again.

Their stay at Camp Cloudtop hadn’t been without issues but it had over all been a nice trip. The place had been marvellous even despite having to take care of Emmanellain. Of course he had gotten himself in trouble but with Lord Haurchefant’s help they had managed to save him.

Rael had enjoyed finally having some nature around again and A’viloh had seemed so fascinated and happy with everything. In the end both of them had a nice time at Camp Cloudtop were most of their worries had seemed far away for a short while.

The whole flight back A’vi and Haurchefant had happily chattered but strangely this time Rael had not minded it at all.

But then they had returned to Fortemp manor and bad luck had caught up to them again - in form of a messenger that had brought grave tidings.

Tataru and Alphinaud had been arrested. Someone had raised accusations about them, the gravest there were here in Ishgard. Heresy.

Whatever that is supposed to mean, Rael wondered, but it didn’t matter since clearly everybody else was taking this seriously and the two of them were soon to face trial.

And a trial regarding heresy was almost never decided in favour of the accused. So their only way of survival was said to be trial by combat.

If it hadn’t been so horrible Rael would have laughed about the absurdity of it all. Alphinaud, still more a boy than a man, and Tataru, the sweetest and most unthreatening Lalafell you could imagine, not only accused of plotting against Ishgard but also expected to fight for their lives. Alphinaud at least possessed basic fighting skills in form of his magic but the two of them against two veteran knights of the Heavens‘ Ward certainly didn’t seem like a fair fight.

The worst of it all was that no one seemed to care about it because they believed that if the two were truly innocent the goddes Halones would certainly intervene and save them herself. As Rael had sharply asked about how often such a thing had actually occurred, everybody got suspiciously silent though. It was absolutely ludicrous. And it made Rael unspeakably angry.

A’viloh however only seemed to be shocked and deeply shaken by the news, almost as if the trial was already lost and together with it their friends lifes.

“Please don’t worry, A‘viloh… I am sure there is something we can still do!”, Haurchefant tried to reassure him.

“Indeed there is something���”, Ser Aymeric, who fortunately was on their side, added thoughtfully. “Under Ishgardian law someone unfit to fit has the right to name a champion to fight in their stead. Master Alphinaud‘s magical talents will not have gone unnoticed, but Mistress Tataru on the other hand…”

He didn’t need to finish that sentence, Rael had already picked up on where this was going. “Let me fight in her stead. I will make these cowards regret they ever opened their lying mouths! They will never dare to -”

“No!”, A‘viloh interrupted. “I will fight.”

Everybody stared at him. He still looked miserable but there was something in his eyes except fear.

“I want to fight.”, he repeated a little more clearly. “Let me help for once! And after all Alphinaud already fights with magic. The knights however mostly fight with swords or lances right? Both of you would get issues with casting any spells at all if no one keeps them off of your backs….”

Rael wanted to argue. They theoretically knew that A‘viloh could do this, after all he wasn’t as weak as he sometimes thought he was and he had prevailed under stressful situations before.

But there was so much that could go wrong, although Rael had to admit that his reasoning made sense. Nonetheless they opened their mouth to protest -

“Please!”, the Miqo’te insisted before Rael could even speak. “Let me do this. I can’t bear seeing all of you in danger and just stand by doing nothing once again.”

Rael knew this never had been the case but for A‘viloh it had seemed that way, more often than once maybe. Of course he still blamed himself for not being able to do anything for their friends in Ul’dah.

Rael just hoped his nerves were strong enough to do this. “Are you sure? This is our only chance, A‘vi…”

He nodded and Haurchefant as well as Aymeric also seemed to believe in him. Maybe Rael would just have to believe in him too…

“Fine.”, they said but bit their tongue to say more. They didn’t want to make him think they doubted him but even if he failed Rael didn’t plan to sit by idly. They didn’t care about Halone or the church or some holy law. If anyone wanted to hurt their friends they would burn it all down.

“Thank you.”, A’viloh replied smiling weakly and Aymeric immediately focused on explaining the details of the trial.

The whole way to the tribunal Haurchefant explained what A‘viloh had to except of his enemies and together the three of them made a plan. It was a good one and still Rael worried.

In front of the building they stopped. Haurchefant patted the Miqo’te on the back and exclaimed, “Oh! And if you should begin to lose heart, look to me in the stands, and I shall cheer so loud, you will wonder how you could ever have contrived to doubt yourself!“

A’viloh smiled amused and then turned to Rael. It was good that he seemed determined to do this and still Rael couldn’t force themself to smile back at him. Instead they hugged him tightly and whispered, “Stay careful, A‘vi.”

For a moment he returned the Viera’s hug. Then he nodded determined, “I will! Don’t worry!”

He could do this, Rael decided. No, not just could, he would. He had faced more terrible foes than this already.

If the Ishgardians wanted to see this trial decided by divine intervention, they would get that. However no goddess would deliver this judgment but a small, brave Miqo’te with the heart of a lion.

i am a shakespeare nerd. i am abnormal about hamlet in a neurodivergent way. this will become obvious don't you worry

i believe all shakespeare performances should have a unique approach to them, to make them stand out from the countless versions that came before

hamlet's family, instead of being the royal family of denmark, is a crime family. this gives me an excuse to have grit and blood and darkness where the original format doesn't really allow for it. hamlet is a tragedy of course but it isn't violent, not really. it's all poisons and schemes and dramatic deaths. i want brutality. i want to see him go off the rails in the violence of his actions.

what i'm saying is hamlet shoots polonius (counsîor to the king) dead, and since we have guns in a more modern setting, we can have him shoot him through something more interesting than a curtain. what i'm saying is when trying to figure out where he hid the body, the best hamlet to a pulp. what i'm saying is when claudius (hamlet's uncle) sends hamlet away, everyone knows he is going to his death. what i'm saying is they find ophelia (polonius' daughter) in dirty canal water, clutching roadside weeds. what i'm saying is in act 5 scene 2, laertes (polonius' son) and hamlet have a knife fight, dangerous and dark and scary and for the poison to take effect, laertes has to properly slash hamlet. what i'm saying is, to kill claudius, hamlet forces him to drink his own poison only to stab him in the neck before he gets the chance. it's bloody. it's brutal. it's violent.

i made another post about the characters and shit but godd i'm just thinking about the imagery of it rn. i came up w this idea at like 2am and it might be my best work yet. it fits so fucking perfectly with the imagery i wanted but couldn't figure out how to insert into the high society that hamlet is supposed to be set in. i need to make concept art of this because realistically it will never see the light of day on a stage so my drawings will be all i have.

first off lol i just need to get this off my chest but the SMUT IN THIS CHAPTER…IMMACULATE. I GOT TINGLES im so immune to smut since i’ve read sm of it but oh my godd when he said “fuck i cant hold back any longer. let me fuck you already or i’ll cum in my pants” I HAD BUTTERFLIES IN TWO DIFF PLACES FROM THAT🧍🏻‍♀️…also i like how realistic the sex feels,, like it genuinely reads like two adults in this sort of complicated relationship still desiring one another, mature & sexy yet classy at the same time? bravo seriously (also reader getting the lingerie hehehehrhrh)

the way you built the tension throughout the entire chapter regarding satoru’s super mysterious phone calls and his reluctance to share anything w reader. so wonderfully laced into all of the scenes, there was this sense of dread throughout that simmered even during the fluffy scenes and oof it was a wonderful but torturous feeling haha

speaking of fluff- when he keeps mentioning “love” and now marriage!! pls 😭 it came out of nowhere but i feel like his brazenness to say it so soon makes me believe that he really means it if that makes sense?? :”) one of my fave lines from the chapter was

“he was stating it as a fact, something that was a done deal…he’s simply been waiting for you to catch up.”

that has to be one of the most romantic things i’ve EVER read in my life. a chill legit ran through me haha like if that isn’t love!! 🥲 he knew since the beginning </3

thank you for clarifying the thought process behind reader’s doubts in herself. when she said something about how she wonders if she’s cut out for it…oof i felt that. imposter syndrome is SO damn real, especially in medicine, and my fave moment in the whole chapter is when satoru really steps up in that moment as a mentor and says “taking a break isn’t giving up” <3 i totally understand her push back though, it’s hard to shake insecurities built over years

and my god. satoru’s character. i know that he is so troubled and has made mistakes but my heart legitimately ached for him during that conversation with geto. this was the moment where i was like omg this story is something so special bc you tackle the sensitivity of topics such as drug abuse so fucking well.

i used to work at an emergency department and so often we would get patients rolling in w chief complaints of withdrawal, a LOT of the time young patients in their twenties, and it’s really heartbreaking to see because you can never ever fully understand the pain behind someone’s story or change the past, all you can do is try to help them and make them feel better in the present.

i feel so bad for satoru, seriously fuck sukuna for taking advantage of him like that omg give me two mins in a room w that mf and your story is gonna be missing one of its characters 😅

siggghhh as someone with an avoidant attachment style i so relate to him. i really hope reader can show him the brighter things in life (i mean she’s definitely someone that makes him want to be a better man which is lovely), i look forward to seeing how he opens up more emotionally in the chapters to come.

haha the whole philosophical part at the end was mostly because i read a lot of camus and kafka lately lol. couldn't hold myself back, but i guess that mirrors satoru's existential crisis he goes through, that will be more highlighted in the next chapter.

but like at the same time, he needs someone to put him in his place and the reader is gladly accepting that and is like, I'M SO DONE WITH YOU, GET YOUR SHIT TOGETHER MAN.
