#YOU FOOLS! MUA HA HA HA!

Howdy!  I was wondering if you could give me advice. I want to create twisted wonderland characters out of some obscure Disney movie villains, such as Alameda Slim(Home on the Range), Professor Ratigan(the great mouse, Detective), and Mr. Sikes and his two dogs(Oliver and Company), etc, and I was just wondering if you had any ideas. They can be from character design to personality to even which dorm they would fit in. Anything would be helpful. 

Well, I don't want to get too involved HERE with helping you in terms of personality/designs, for two reasons. One, those are elements that are probably best discussed in private, and they're also things you should probably work out on your own terms. Two, some of these characters I actually want to make OCs of myself, or already technically have done so. XD However, I can give you a few basic pointers on when you're crafting your TW characters. First of all, you'll need to find a balance between good and bad: while all of NRC's students are based on villains, the entire point of the game is that these "villains" aren't monsters. Unlike their source materials, who are more or less purely evil creatures of darkness, the students of NRC all have their dark sides (except maybe Kalim and Silver), but they also all have their nice or sympathetic qualities. Finding what gives them their good side without making them TOO good is going to be a challenge. Second of all, try to play by the rules of the game. By which I mean, your characters should feel they mesh more or less with the rest of the main characters. Making them too old, or the wrong gender, or connecting them too closely to established Disney figures can all upset the balance, because it brings too much of the universe itself into question or goes against information we already have established in the canon of the game. The only way they can properly fit then is with a complete AU setting. Third of all, as far as the designs go, pick and choose what you think are the most important accessories or color choices for those characters, and try to build around them in some fashion. Sometimes it's going to be difficult, but it's necessary, because you want the villain the character is based upon to be at least semi-recognizable in your own OC. I hope all that makes sense, and I also hope that I've helped a bit. ONE LAST THING THAT I WILL DO FOR YOU: I can definitely tell you which dorms I would personally place those characters in, if I were to create OCs for them that were students. Alameda Slim = Savanaclaw; while the Savannah is different from the Wild West, I think the motifs used in the uniforms and overall look of the place would mesh the most easily with Slim's sense of style. On top of that, with Slim's background and setup in the film, the idea of him in a dorm made up seemingly entirely of beastmen opens the doors to possible story concepts. ;) Professor Ratigan = either Ignihyde or Diasomnia; both feel like they'd fit Ratigan's sense of style and intellectual capacities the best. Not much else to it. Sykes & His Dogs = Octavinelle; this may seem an odd choice, but they are mafia-based characters, and Octavinelle is a mafia-styled dorm, so where ELSE would they fit better? XD That's one thing I do want to add: when picking the dorms for my characters, I focus less on what the dorms represent, and more on the style of the dorm itself. What aesthetic or story-based elements fit best where? Keep that in mind when creating new...well...creations. LOL

໑ Feeling, Fucking, and Falling in Love by imtiredanditswinter (NR, 2k, established relationship, historial au, pwp, read tags) i just want to make a disclaimer that even though the tags say “servant Harry”, it doesn’t mean there’s coercion for the things that happen between him and louis. having said that, this was very hot and if you enjoy smut with feelings, you’ll like this one.

໑ nights like these by localopa / @voulezloux (G, 3.7k, strangers to lovers, poor louis) this story has definitely give a new perspective (for me) to the song “Silver Tongues”. it’s so beautifully written and the angst is delicious.

໑ There's More Than Meets The Eye by @faithinwalls369 (NR, 4.5k, strangers to lovers, blind date, blindfold) such a sweet story abt a unique first date! the descriptions were so on point, and the characters were delightful!

໑ one chance (kiss him you fool) by localopa / @voulezloux (M, 5.5k, friends to lovers, 5+1 things, pining) this so fun and entertaining, and heartbreaking too with each time Louis’ intentions failed. i loved how the author portrayed Louis’ feelings.

໑ Hate is a Strong Word by kikikryslee / @flamboyantommo (T, 8.7k, coworkers, hate to love, office au) this was so entertaining and funny! i feel like what made it better was to have both POVs. if you enjoy the coworkers trope, you’ll truly enjoy this one!

໑ I Still Crave It by @germericangirl (E, 16k, strangers to lovers, a/b/o au, chemist harry, scenting) this was so fun! i loved Louis’ obliviousness of his own feelings and the ending was very sweet.

໑ i’m still standing (after all this time) by localopa / @voulezloux (M, 22.5k, strangers to lovers, music industry au, pop punk louis, pop harry, read tags and author’s note) this was so painful to get through but i knew it would eventually get better. just bare in mind the tags please. over all, there were so great nizouis moments and the chemistry between Harry and Louis was through the roof.

໑ Somebody's Got Your Trainers On (It's You) by bluegreenish / @greenblueish (E, 28k, exes to lovers (kind of), hospital au, nurse louis, doctor harry, read tags and author’s note) i absolutely loved this rendition of “Saturdays”, it hurt just in the right ways and the conclusion of the story was better than i could’ve imagined.

໑ The Prince Of Light by @jacaranda-bloom (E, 35.7k, strangers to lovers, fantasy au, garden fairies, world building, mentions of war, read tags) i don’t know how to express what i feel about this fic because it’s so precious! it made me feel warm all over, and it made me feel like living in a magic world. if you like fantasy, you’ll love this one.

໑ Where I End and You Begin by @starryhazelou (E, 42.7k, strangers to lovers, famous/non-famous, rock star harry, mua louis, please read tags and author’s notes) absolutely fantastic from start to finish. the characterisations and the details on the timeline and outfits were perfect. the tension between Louis and Harry was driving me crazy, and then the angst… it was the kind that gives you a weird feeling in your stomach, it doesn’t hurt (at least to me) a lot but it’s there.

໑ Darkest Before the Dawn by amomentoflove / @daggerandrose (E, 50.5k, enemies to lovers, university au, fashion designer harry, fashion designer louis, grief, read tags and author’s note) this was quite the journey. the tension between the main characters felt so real but i think what i liked the most about this story is the talk about grief. it’s a very sincere and realistic piece of work so you should definitely check it out.

໑ And What If I Were You by @jacaranda-bloom (E, 110k, exes to lovers, famous/non-famous au, actor harry, artist louis, blind louis) if there’s one thing you can expect from this author is to end up with a little piece of her heart with each work, and this is no exception. the story was so well structured and you can see the world through Louis’ eyes even if it sounds crazy, but the best part is that you can also see it on Harry’s and you, as well as him, will realise how normal is not for everyone. the art for the fic is spectacular!

໑ Say It Somehow by frenchkiss / @lesbidirection (E, 129k, strangers to lovers, theatre au, actor louis, technician harry, musical references) i’m in love with this author’s writing. this fic felt like watching a show, it had everything and was very entertaining. the characters were so good to each other, but in a very human non-perfect way. and at the same time, the story explores what it’s like to work in theatre from someone with experience so if you like theatre AND you like love stories, you’ll love this one!

໑ give me life, give me pain, give me myself again by thedeathchamber / @louehvolution (louis/joel miller, E, 2.9k, the last of us au, drama) Joel fans, you’ll love this. i don’t know much abt tlou but i felt like the vibes were amazing.

໑ the devil's backbone by edensrose / @holdingthornsandroses (louis/pedro pascal, M, 9.7k, enemies to friends to lovers, historical au (1925), violence) this was so good. this author is great with historical fics, and this was no exception! the story was so well detailed and it was written with great detail without overdoing it. there’s period typical violence and mentions of past relationships and abuse.

໑ 🔒 I Couldn't Write You Off If I Tried by @homosociallyyours (girl direction marcel/louis, M, 11.4k, strangers to lovers, accountant marcel, stripper louis, taxes) the only thing i can say for myself is that this is the first time i cry because of taxes. this was sweet, soft, and sexy.

໑ The Light Out In The Madness (Hold Tight) by @lalalaartje (niall/louis, E, 46.6k, roommates to lovers, uni au, fake pretend relationship, read tags) absolutely loved this story. i could experience the beginning of their friendship and how it kept growing and growing. the fic has so many iconic moments so make sure to check it out!

The most you'd notice is how he stares at you when you think he's not looking, or a slight blush here and there, but definitely better than Mat.

He gives you that kind of.. polite parent kind of smile a lot? Outwardly looks like he has everything in check while inwardly being like "jsjsinsjajanajhelookdatmeholySHITNSKWJNDNMA"

He's actually quite tame for a yandere!

But don't let that fool you, any yandere can become dangerous when pushed enough.

I feel like he'd be more manipulative, giving things a slight push into where they need to be rather than going in physically.

Constantly babies you, I'm sorry I don't make the rules.

He believes that you're someone who needs to be protected, and that he's the only one who can protect you!

After all, you are trapped in time in a spooky mansion with nasty little secrets around each corner, you need to have someone watching your back!

Conversations with him are nice, he acts like how he normally would, apart from the slight difference of badmouthing someone a whole lot more.

He has this kind of persuasive way of talking, to the point of where even if you were best friends with said person you'd either be slightly suspicious or wary of them.

He would definitely be a self aware yandere, but instead of freaking out or feeling bad he's calm and goes "okay, what next?"

This may seem like a good way of thinking, and it is!

But...everyone has their breaking point.

If he was on a challenge with someone else, calm facade is immediately gone and man is ready to play dirty.

After all, haven't you technically won if the other is dead?

No, but don't tell him that.

He's super supportive of you, no matter what it is!

If it was a personal thing? He's behind you 100%!

It is was a challenge? Very worried for your life, but still behind you 100%!

I've considered doing more with Mua from Mioo, Dorost Ast, but I haven't really seen the original character in action. If this Meowth ends up becoming a major cast member or the lead in a love story or two, I'm gonna look like a FOOL.

"The Frenchman" from Mioo, Dorost Ast I think belongs under the "queer" umbrella because of the way he dresses and acts? He's heterosexual, though.

I've been following The Rock Cocks too and have come to the conclusion that everyone in the story is a moron to some degree. Seth, as you described, has Rayne Summers-level bad at his job, Steg & Suria are too dumb to realize it, the two nudists they've got as roadies are probably too stupid to survive in the real world, I'm pretty sure Dakota almost admitted to almost poisoning them because of not knowing measurements and Elizabeth is a willing doormat. It works because every character is dumb.

Seth Sterling is so bad at his job selling the Rock Cocks that their albums are banned from “stores”. Not even one store, stores generally won’t sell it. Then he sent the band, by themselves, to Arizona to shoot a video in a location that ended up not having any recording equipment at all. The music video had basically no budget because Sterling didn’t want to invest too heavily into a new band, which sounds logical until to realize that Seth, the CEO of a major music company, spent a full week of his time hanging out in the desert for the video but wasn’t willing to put up any money, or do any research that the studio he was sending them to was a studio or not.

And, when they all got there, it turned out that they didn’t have any ideas for what the video would even be, and genius music producer Seth Sterling doesn’t even have a single suggestion, nor does he have any employees who are experts in this kind of thing, and is basically hoping on a friend to help him. 

If this weren’t a porn comic, I’d seriously be speculating that Seth just rented out an office to fool Steg/Suria and that Sterling Industries isn’t even real and he’s a Billy MacFarland-level scam artist. 

Which would be a fucking incredible twist, actually, given all the weird things about....Seth’s....busi...

The building Sterling works out of doesn’t have his name on in. It’s not his building, just an office building. 

And then when they went to his floor, there’s no employees, and there’s something covering the windows so you can’t see other rooms.

And his rate is 20% of the gross profit, which is before expenses. That is, he gets his 20%, and then all the music video people etc get paid, then Steg and Suria get paid after everyone else’s cut, and Seth gets paid first.

Oh my god, that’s the twist. I think this is the actual intended twist that’s actually going to happen: Seth Sterling has basically no money, but he rented out an office for a day (cheaper than you’d think), and decorated it before the Rock Cocks showed up. He’s fucking his boyfriend in the office when they arrive to provide an explanation for why there’s no employees around, and also to make the Rock Cocks uncomfortable and not thinking properly about what they were signing on to 

Then he made them take the deal or walk right then and there without having a chance to think about (and lookit that “mua-ha-ha” shading in the first panel). He didn’t send them to a real studio because he doesn’t have one, he thought Melody could bail him out. 

The reason the album’s cover is too sexy to be sold in stores is because Seth can’t print the CDs. The album doesn’t exist. None of it exists. The entire thing is a scam.

IF she goes to the gala, I really hope she looks put together. I'm not trying to knock her appearance, as I do think she's pretty, and has looked nice on carpets, but I feel like there's times when they have D's MUA do her makeup/hair, and times when she's left on her own. If she goes tonight I hope she's styled correctly, for his sake. I know some people want an embarrassing mess, but I'd hate that for him.

Trust me nonnie, for his sake, IF she is there (and that is still a big IF) I don’t want an embarrassing mess either.  I am hoping mommy made sure to take care of everything from hair to make up to an appropriate dress.

I agree, she can be an attractive girl (if you can overlook how UGLY of a person she is on the inside which is tough for me), but she has no sense of style of grooming.  You can just see the change from a year ago to awards season when they did start to make an effort with her look. And even with that, she made some really poor choices (her bridal look was horrific and an utter embarrassment which is amazing considering it was custom VW).

Fact is for some reason, people still believe the BS, so everything she does reflects on D. And for his sake, I don’t want her to make a fool of him.

Interestingly, as it is unlikely she will be photographed by press, we may not know for a few days if she went, and if she does what she wears unless one of them posts on their SM prior to the RC.  

Whereas with D we should know in a few hours. RC starts in 90 minutes. I am sure he is going to look absolutely fabulous.
