Paring: jeonghan x fem!reader
Genre: fluff, 70's au, little to no angst
warnings: none, maybe a few swear words here and there
summary: Jeonghan might be a cocky bastard but when it comes to you he will turn the world upside down, or so he claims.
words: 2k
a/n: I request each and every one of you to comment on this fic don't be a silent reader it helps me as an author to understand my readers and i would love to communicate with all of you. Constructive criticism is always welcomed by me so do talk about this fic or send me an ask.
a/n 2: i heard a podcast and it made me want to write this fic because the love story of the two hosts was sooo damn cutee.
You knew Jeonghan from when you were literally a kid.
His father had moved to your city after a presentation from little Jeonghan on how to make a pocketknife using ice cream sticks that he learnt from his local friends, his mother mortified that her little sweet child would grow up to become a goon forced his father to change cities to go as far away from the place they physically could.
It was during his fathers pursuit for a stable Korean community in Canadaâs ever-growing cities did he come across the name of your grandfatherâs in the phonebook that sounded very much similar to his. Your grandfather being the trusting and kind man he was invited his father for a dinner in his house the following day and this event kickstarted a relationship between the two families wherein, his father bought a house six minutes away from yours in the small part of your city inhabited by mostly Asians.
You both had met when he was seven and you were only three, he still remembers babysitting you when you were in middle school as your parents trusted no one more than him. So, when he broke the beautiful glass table in your living room, he had skillfully blamed you resulting in a three-hour long lecture from your parents about taking care of ones possessions.
You hated Jeonghan then, you really did, so you refused to talk to him for the next almost five years.
Until you both found yourselves in a duet dance opposite to each other because it was the neighborhood talent show and it was mandatory for the kids to participate. Typical Asian parents.
To no ones surprise your dance number got a tad bit too much hype from the watchers and it kickstarted another full year of you both not talking to each other at all because of the teasing glances and suggestive remarks from adults and children alike.
The time you both talked to each other again was when it was you senior year prom at high school and your father being the overprotective man he was, did not allow you to go because according to him âprom is how American kids end up getting pregnant.â
He was wrong of course; kids get pregnant due to having sex but you being the soft-spoken kid you were did not have the gal to inform him that. You would rather spend the night being sad and watching Simpsons and crying about how unfair it is for your parents to not let you go and experience the night considered to rank number one in peak American high school experience.
This was the first time you saw Jeonghan as your lord and savior, which you obviously will never tell him because it will do nothing but fuel his over-the-top ego. But that day he had stepped in and talked to you father.
âItâs an experience and everyone should be able to experience it, I think you are wrong sir to take away this from your daughter,â he had oh so righteously said.
âSon, I would let her only if you take her, as I donât trust anyone but you with my daughter.â
âSo, I shall then.â
Now did this conversation shock you? Yes, it did especially your fatherâs response to Jeonghan, but you were not going to stir up any feminist conversation with your father right now, not when you just got the pass to go to prom.
That night was something you barely remember; it has been twenty years since then and you barely care about the overly hyped kids and the future alcoholics that you encountered that night. Now that you are wise and older, you understand your parents concern. Suzy from you class had become a mother at the prime age of eighteen, nine months later. You are thankful that your father made the wise choice for you that day.
That night from what you remember was just plain boring, you had come back at 11 to a quite house, had talked to the boy for the entirety of the night, watched the sunrise with him and at the end had hugged him thanking him for taking you to prom.
After that incident, you both had again gone onto your own ways and had not talked to each other for another year till the next family function, where you both were the only kids of the same age present as all your other friends were out of the country for college.
That weekend had sparked a friendship between you both, as you always stuck to each otherâs side seeking comfort from one another as talking to anyone else somehow always circled back to your marriage and their extreme concern for your depleting eggs.
The friendship you both wove lasted a long while, throughout your college. Till one day you come back from a trip to Daegu, and he was there standing at the airport ready to rush you away from your family to the nearest Starbucks because he had some news for you.
Once in the café he informed you that he had landed the job he had been trying for right after finishing college. You were elated for him, so happy that you almost forgot to tell him about the potential marriage partner your parents had whipped up during your two-week-long stay there.
Jeonghan being the man he was asked you up front to marry him, confessing his hidden feeling for you and how the weight of them might have just decreased his height. Dramatic bitch.
You being brough back to reality told him no and stated the reason to be man you could have potentially married. He obviously told you to say no to this unknown âson of a bitchâ and accept his proposal.
So being the bigger person, because Jeonghan obviously refused to, you reminded him that you had never dated anyone let alone him and you will not marry a man you have not dated.
This conversation then ignited your relationship the first step of which was turning down the said âson of a bitchâ while telling your father you wanted to focus on your career more, which you really did. Fast forward six months and while keeping up the long-distance relation with frequent phone calls late at night because your parents might pick up the landline and eavesdrop if its during the day, while at the same time trying to search for a job near Boston went on.
On one late Sunday afternoon as you were sitting on the kitchen island sipping on coffee you got an email from on of the companies, you had given an interview to, informing you had gotten an onsite job that would require you to move to Cambridge, and you were over the moon.
So, the preparations began for your send off and again Jeonghan stepped in like the messiah he is. He is absolutely not one, you refuse to accept. The man went ahead and told your conservative father he will give up his life to take care of you, till this date you claim it will be the opposite if a situation like that befalls you both. After packing your bags, you were on your merry way to live with the man.
It took you both some time to adjust to the new settings he would be over at your place during the weekends and sometimes you would be at his. This continued for another year or so before one night as you both were laying on the bed together when Jeonghan suddenly piped up.
âI think you should see other people.â
Not understanding what he meant you turned towards the guy and asked, âwhat do you mean?â
âI know we will end up marrying each other, so I want you to experience dating other men too, so you donât get to ever claim I was the only guy in your life,â he explained to you.
You had yet to get a taste of exactly how much of a cocky motherfucker you are dating, said innocently.
âBut Jeonghan you are the only guy I ever dated.â
That was the end of that conversation that night before you both went to sleep, but his urging never stopped. It went on for a few days till one day your exhausted and a tad bit insecure self, lashed out at him claiming he wanted to cheat on you, and he wanted a break. So, you gave one to him.
That entire year you had a flower bouquet delivered early morning to your house with an apology letter, although the apologies lasted only for a month before you forgave the terrified man, who apologized profusely after you accepted to talk to him. Even though you did feel a bit bad after seeing him, the guy looked like he was living during the great depression.
After that all was smooth sailing and he never ever tried to upset you at all, but his playful nature persisted anyways, not like you minded that.
Five years later during your sisterâs wedding in Singapore was when his proposal was finally accepted. You had just arrived at the airport and yet again the man had swooped in and taken you away from your family under the guise of some kind of sound check that was needed to be done in the wedding venue.
Your clueless self agreed to go with him and without a second thought he took you to the cables to take you to an island that was nowhere close to the wedding venue. As you were getting increasingly confused, you kept asking him where exactly you both were going. He kept deflecting the topic, so you ultimately gave up and, as another family came up on the cable car, you started talking about your flight that you took with your family. The poor man did not hear one word, he was sweating bullocks and was essentially confused why another family was in the cable car that he had fully booked for you both.
As the family got down at the end, he stopped you from doing so too claiming it is not the stop, even though it was the last one. It was then the nervous wreck of a man got down on one knee in front of asking for your hand in marriage once again, and you being so in love with him accepted to spend the rest of your life with the man.
The rest of it was history, you both had to tell your parents none of whom were shocked at all, rather relieved that you both had at last agreed to get married and be together forever.
Now ten years later and with your two children, you are perfectly content with your life. Waking up with Jeonghan beside you everyday sounds like a dream and you are happy it came true for you.
As you tossed around the bed you saw Jeonghan eyeing you in his half-awake state.
âWhat are you thinking about?â he asks.
âUs,â you answer snuggling closer to him.
âWhat about us, huh?â
âThe way you forced me to date some other guy because you wanted me to have more experience in dating,â you laughed at the memory.
âDonât tell me about that it still haunts me till this dayâ he retorts with a shudder.
âWhy did you do it anyways?â you ask.
âI knew I was going to marry you so I wanted you to have some more experience with dating others so whenever you have an argument I could say âhey remember that looser you dated!ââ, he answers with laugh.
With a laugh you slapped his shoulder exclaiming, âI sometimes forget how cocky you can get!â
"How else do you think I got the permission to propose you in someone else's marriage!" he states sassily.
With that Jeonghan snuggles closer to you some more, its Sundays anyways the kids are with their grandparents and you both have all the time in the world to just bask in each otherâs presence and not do anything at all.

Regarding my SBI/DSMP Fics
TW: Abuse, Trauma, and Mentions of Suicide.
With all that has happened, I did want to come out here and make my stance clear. I will always stand with Shelby (Shubble) and all of the victims who are speaking out against Will Gold (Wilbur Soot). If you still support that bastard, unfollow me and leave my blog and whatever small community I made.
I've already stated this is my Discord channel, but I want to put it here too.
For me, c!Wilbur is so far removed from cc!Wilbur that I don't connect the two. The characters are vessels for my own characterizations and stories. It's a bit like writing Supernatural*, Twilight, or Hazbin Hotel fanfics. I don't support the guy, monetarily or otherwise, he does not interact with fanfics, I have plans to be very vocal that I'm on Shelby's side no matter what/make it clear that what Will did is wrong, and I don't use his real life events as plots in my stories. At least, I certainly don't try to. It's why I typically change traits about the characters. (I.e. Tommy is shorter, Phil is taller, Techno is bulky, and Wilbur always has golden/hazel eyes.)
I'm aware that it's a tad different because it's rp and not something like a full on book or an actor in a movie, but DSMP has also been over for over two years and the characterizations I make for SBI are not at all based on the CCs. Real life Techno isn't a literal terrorist, Phil ain't a father married to a goddess, Tommy is not a traumatized child soldier, and Wilbur isn't suicidal and blowing up countries.
I think I'll likely focus more on Techno, Tommy, and Phil for a while, but I'm not gonna let one dude ruin a fandom and things I've made for myself. Nothing I write is ever made for Wilbur, as I've seen people saying. Additionally, Wilbur was not the only writer. Technoblade, Philza, TommyInnit, and so many others made that story what it was. Not him.
However, if any CCs come forward saying they don't want their old characters interacting with his, I will respect that.
Though I do think there is a tendency to take real life events (i.e. Techno's cancer, LJ's music, Tommy's real life parents, etc.) and put them into fiction about DSMP. I, however, don't try to do that and have stated before that I don't feel comfortable doing so. The truth is that we have not gotten any genuine SBI content outside of DSMP for years. The dynamic in real life is very different from what was presented in the DSMP. Did personalities still bleed over? Yes, I'm not going to deny that, but I'm not going to act like they're exactly the same between character and person either. We've had that conversation like in 2021, it's why we have C! and CC!.
The rather sad truth is, SBI is what got me really into writing and it's a comfort for me that nothing can compare to. Obviously, I don't think it's appropriate to be writing certain types of stories right now or to be involving characters made by CCs outside of the DSMP. I think it's up to everyone else to decide on what they want to do, however, rushing it also isn't the way to go either. Give yourself time to heal and think it over first instead of throwing away something that gives you comfort and has not been associated with by the creators for over two years.
Anyways, fuck Will Gold. Fuck the fact that he hurt so many people, and fuck that he lied and manipulated his way around the damn internet. ESPECIALLY fuck the fact that he tried to diminish what he did and not take proper accountability.
Go and support Shelby so so much, she and everyone who spoke out really deserve it. I'm glad silence on these types of issues is not being normalized.

*Changed it from Harry Potter to Supernatural because Harry Potter is a significantly worse and more problematic franchise, even just within the content of the books. It'd be better left in the dust. I've talked about it before, but it was the first thing that came to my mind at the time and was a poor comparison on my part, I'm truly sorry for that.

A Song of Shadow & Flame
CANON Dark! Aemond Targaryen x OC niece Targaryen. | SERIES
Warnings - Mentions of SA, child on child violence, graphic description, fatherlessness, Aemond gets fucked up, morally grey slay, questionable fathering, where are their parents?
Author's note â Well, this is it. This is the last 124 AC chapter before we pick up six years later. Thank god, lets get to the SMASHING already!!! I just want to also state, that yes Visenya has raging father issues and yes that absolutely is going to evolve into something more disturbing, this may turn into a dead dove fic, purely because of the psychological fuckery I am about to pull. But hey, that's canon for ya. My girl has major problems. She IS going to make Aemond worse. Oh and this isn't edited, sorry for typos. I'll get to it later.

vi ~ 'An Eye'
123 AC
They charged through the rock pools, making their way to the alcove which contained the lower passage into High Tide. Visenya had let go of his hand by now, she hadnât muttered a word, too fuelled by adrenaline and disgust, but mainly shame. Shame for what Aegon did to her, shame she was too fearful to stop him.
As they came to the darkened impasse, Aemondâs hand reached to grasp her wrist, and Visenyaâs eyes widened as she felt the warmth of his hand coil gently, a poor attempt at affection. She looked to him, her gaze one of shock⊠her heart swelled at the action, a glimmer of vulnerability in her eyes, though his beamed with uncertainty.
Aemond's gazed sternly at the Princess, her silver hair glimmering under the torch light. No one had ever retaliated against Aegon, especially not for him...no one had ever bothered â not even his father. Aemondâs gaze softened as he glared at her, he felt shame rear its biting head in him as he recalled how little he had done to do the same for her. His grip upon her wrist slid down slightly, until his hand met the palm of hers, enclosing like a shell, as if done in thanks. Though Aemond did not know how to say such things, how to express it. Even this felt terribly odd, his brow furrowed.
Stillness settled, and the two young Targaryenâs stood face to face, their hands intertwined. The princess was in shock, her eyes gleamed with a slight affection for a moment â something warm tugging at her chest before she met the hard and dour gaze of his. She felt herself grow disturbed by the action, suddenly snapping out of the moment and ripping her hand away.
âWhat do you think you are doing?â She whispered intensely, her expression darkening before she could gauge why. Visenya wasnât even sure why she pulled away.
Aemond looked down at his empty hand and then, met her gaze, âYou defended me.â His voice plain, clinical.
âNo one will believe you.â She gritted her teeth, her eyes beaming with tears as she went to turn. Fear and guilt overcame her, she couldnât let him see how such affection warmed her heart for she could barely admit it herself.
The young prince scoffed, âI did not intend to speak of it.â
Suddenly Visenya whipped around fiercely, her gaze mad, as though his actions upon her were cruel. Aemond grew confused as she stepped towards him once more.
âDo not do that again!â Her voice a harsh whisper.
âWhat?â The boy shook his head, watching as she narrowed her eyes.
âDid you think we were friends? I took pity upon you! Pity, because you are but a dragonless bellyacher who was made to fuck an old whore.â Â The words fell from her mouth before she could stop herself. She was livid and terrified of herself, she felt like a dragon gnawing at old bones. Visenya turned again as silence dropped quickly between the two.
As the princess turned, Aemond felt his heart shatter. He wasnât sure what he felt for Visenya, what spurred him on to hold her hand, but her words confirmed everything he had already thought. Vain, spoiled, evil little⊠âBastard.â He spat.
Visenya took a breath as the word rang, her heart felt like it had been ripped from her chest, as she turned her head to gaze upon his stiff and arrogant expression, âWhat did you say?â
âYou are a bastard-â Aemondâs brow flickered, tilting his head in a smug, flat gaze.
Visenya felt her rage pierce through her, her hands suddenly meeting his chest as she shoved him straight to the floor. Her gaze unrelenting, brutal as he looked up to her with a wrath so apparent his very face heated. Aemond rose to his feet, fists clenched as he grasped her arm with all his might, The Princess winced, his grip tight and unyielding.
Aemond felt something beyond his understanding burn through him, his gaze no longer cold, but heated by years of pent up fury, his words like knives as he twisted her wrist, âYou and your pitiful brothers may shove or taunt me all you like. It changes nothing, Visenya! You are bastards born of your motherâs whoring.â
Visenya winced again, finding the strength in her to rip herself away as angry tears fell. She clutched the tender flesh of her wrist before her words came out with a desperate intent to hurt him, âAnd you are a dragonless, second son, who despite being a boy grown likely still wishes he could suck at his motherâs tit!â
âI care not for what the likes of a spineless slut calls me.â His voice cold as his demeanour was composed rapidly.
âSlut? You⊠did you just?â The princess coughed out, stuttering in disbelief as she clambered back.
âIndeed. Your behaviour is far suited to Flea Bottom than the Red Keep. You did not protest my brotherâs leering upon you until he acted upon it. You weeped out of fear, once his attentions transcended your liking. However, any honourable woman would have refuted his comments in the beginning. Not you though, for you are vain and indulgent, so it is no wonder Aegon took a liking to you, he only pursues those who he knows shanât say no.â Â Aemondâs voice matter-of-factly.
She nearly jumped upon him again, though his words made her ache beyond what she had ever felt. Shame beckoning through her like dragonfire, âYou blame me?â
âYes.â The prince nodded.
Visenya roared, lunched forward as she raised her voice, though Aemond did not flinch, âYour brother is a rotten degenerate, would you say the same if it were to happen to Helaena?â
The prince gave her a judgement look before speaking with arrogant clarity again, âIt would not. My sister would not engage with such attention. Â Perhaps you should take after her beh- â
âYour sister is a witless doll!â She raged forward, tears streaming as she clenched her fist.
Aemondâs expression flickered with anger once again at her cruel words of his sister, his tone warning, âDo not speak against her.âÂ
The young princess scoffed and laughed harshly, her tone outraged and contrasting his cool composure, âYou have spoken far worse about my brothers and my mother! In fact, there are many things I might say, Uncle. Your brother is a lecherous craven, your grandfather a scheming traitor and your mother is a treacherousâŠ. viperous cunt!â
Aemond felt his cheeks burn brighter, he wished to strike her⊠no to grab her by her hair and smash her pretty face against the rocks, watch it splatter upon the rocks. She was nothing, a bastard. A cruel girl with a wicked tongue; a whorish mother and a lech for a father. Before he knew what had happened he felt the harsh sting of his hand after it made contact with her damp cheek.
Visenyaâs face turned, her hand clutching her cheek as tears fell. The Princess winced, his hand had whipped across her face so swiftly, leaving her no time to react. Slowly, her eyes met his and a long, bitter silence was exchanged before a familiar dark voice rang.
âVisenya?â Prince Daemon stood, cooly observing the two young Targaryenâs, his eyes glazing with a slight rage as it was clear he had seen the tail end of the events unfold. In fact, he had heard the bitter words of his daughter and nephew echoing throughout the impasse. His face stern as he looked upon his Visenya, then flickering to Aemond with a cold, warning glare. The young Prince took a step back, his eyes coming to the ground as he felt his uncleâs glare bore into him. Not him. Aemond thought.
Her eyes widened upon seeing Prince Daemon, his demeanour calm, unaffected as he extended a hand. âCome. Your mother sends for you, Princess.â Daemonâs voice carried softly throughout the cove, and Visenya said not another word before walking to him, gripping his hand as he led her away.
He brought her through the door leading into High Tide, she looked up, terrified. His gaze seemed familiarly dark as he dragged her along. Visenya whimpered, begging for him to look down upon her, to soothe her as tears fell, her heart filled with dread before she pleaded, âPlease, do not tell mother⊠I.â
With a sudden grunt Daemon turned and forced them both into a shadowy nook within the hall, his hands forcing her shoulders into the wall as he looked down, he muttered lowly, âI care not for your murmuring Visenya. Not today. You swore you would cease this endless trouble making, and now I come to witness the Hightower boy provoked to the point of putting his hand upon you!â
Visenya shook her head, disarmed by him once again, âHe-â
Daemon grabbed her chin, shaking his head as his words grew firmer, âEnough! Do you understand the difficulty that comes with me refraining from intervening? Nyke care daor qilĆni fucking rhÄdan ziry, nyke care bona ziry keliton lÄda zÈłhon ondos striking ñuha tala's laehurlion!â I care not who fucking started, I care that it ended with his hand striking my daughterâs face!
As he looked upon her frightened gaze, how the tears fell down his daughterâs sweet face, the grip upon her chin loosened as it came to cupping her cheek gently. Visenya continued to look up at him with simpering eyes, she understood her fatherâs wrath. This was his wifeâs funeral after all, and here she was again causing more trouble than need be. Making matters worse within their House.
Daemonâs tone softened further, he sighed and regained a sense of authority, âSo yes, I shall tell your mother, and yes you shall deal with the consequences, as shall the Hightower boy. I want justice and if I cannot seek it, Rhaneyra shall.â
The princess merely nodded at her fatherâs words, she watched his expression unfolded before her, feeling the warmth of his hands wipe her tears from her cheek. Daemon gripped her chin again, forcing her head to side so the light would catch upon her face, revealing what that little Hightower swine had done. He stroked the tender flesh as whispered cooingly, noticing reddening bloom upon her pale skin.
âIssi ao Ćdrikagon?â Are you hurt? Â He crooned gently, still examining her face before pulling it to centre.
Visenya shook her head, her gaze and tone fierce, âDaorâ No.
A wry smile came to the Rouge Princeâs face before he chuckled lowly, amused by his daughterâs stern front, âNÄdenka zaldrÄ«tsos.â Brave little dragon.
His gaze lowered again as he spoke more sternly, rage coiling within him as he thought to what his nephew had done to her, Daemonâs eyes met hers, âSe hembar jÄda ziry raises iÄ ondos naejot ao, kessa sagon se mĆrÄ« Äza ondos.â The next time he raises a hand to you, shall be the last he has hands.
Visenya shook her head, a need to admit the truth of it; that it was she who incited the fight once again, âNyke inditan zirÈłla, kepa.â I pushed him, Father.
Daemonâs brow flickered in surprise, not of his daughter initiating the trouble â but for the odd look of shame within her eyes about it. He grunted lowly and scoffed before speaking, âIâd imagine he deserved it, dĆna riñaâ Sweet girl.
Her gaze weakened, she knew the truth of it, and this time; no, Aemond didnât deserve it. She was the one who was cruel to him. He had tried to reach out, tried to find some sense to her actions, letting himself display the faintest hint of vulnerability and she punished him for it. If Daemon knew⊠knew that she had let Aemondâs hand linger upon hers, felt such warmth in her chest, such overwhelming affectionâ he would surely look at her with disgrace.
Visenya leaned in as her fatherâs hand brushed against her face softly, before pulling her in to a swift embrace. The small affection he could only give to her when none other might be watching. She let him believe her to be innocent, to have been justified in her actions against Aemond. Just for the simple fact, it would keep this brief moment of shared love going. Just so she would not have to watch as his doting eyes hardened. Yet, there was a dull ache that settled in her chest, a pulling familiar to her. Guilt.
How could she admit that her own pride, was wounded so easily that she was able to use her tongue as though it were a blade. That she was able to shove him without remorse. Visenya locked away those threads of thought, locked them away so she did not have to face the truth. It was her who ached, not him. Not Aemond. No, she only meant to inflict her own pain back upon him, and did so, so that she might close her eyes at night peacefully.
â
Upon that very night, in the early hours of the mourn, Visenya laid in her chamber, sleeping soundly. She felt soft hands gripping her arm shaking her to wake. The muffled whispers, like gossamer in the air as the Princess groaned softly. Her eyes opening dazedly, seeing a glimpse of moonlight locks atop a small frame. Baela.
âSister⊠sister wake upâŠâ Her light voice fluttered as she shook Visenya further.
The elder princess stirred properly, slowly sitting up, âBaelaâŠ?â She yawned lazily and leaned back, noticing her youngest sister, Rhaena standing aside â the young girls expression frazzled.
Visenya felt herself shift upwards at her sisterâs worried look, concern coiled as she whispered, âSisters, has something happened?â
Baela nodded, âYou must come⊠somebody stole Vhagar!â She exclaimed softly.
Before Visenya knew what had happened, she had haphazardly thrown on her night robe as her siblings dragged her out from her chamber. Her eyes widened further as the sight of her two brothers, stood in the hall.
âJace? Luke? What are you-âThe princess furrowed her brows, panic ensuing within her as her eyes flickered between the dark haired boys. The halls of High Tide were deathly quiet, with only the sound of the low rumbling tide to cover their whispers.
âCome sister, we must go! Somebody has- âJace whispered softly in the darkened hall, before he could continue, Visenya stepped forward and shook her head.
âYes I know, somebody stole Vhagar. I suggest we all go inform the Sea Snake.â Her voice firm as she looked upon her array of siblings. Their faces coiling in protest.
Jace gritted his teeth, challenging her, âNo! We shall go ourselves.â
The princess swiftly leaned forward, gripping her young brotherâs arm, she felt frustration burn through her, âI am in enough trouble as is, if something happens it shall be who is blamed for not putting a stop to this!â
Jace, with all his strength pushed at Visenyaâs chest, forcing her away from him. The two exchanged a startled look before he cleared his throat and spoke again, âWe are going sister. Come or donât.â
Visenya simply stood in the hall as she watched her siblings disappear into the night, her gaze wide, shocked by Jaceâs actions against her. Fine, if he were to treat her in such a way, let them go get themselves harmed! She thought, though as more time passed she could not help but feel that familiar pull of regret stirring. No, she couldnât let them go by their lonesome.
Without another thought, she ran after them, looking around to see where they may had gone too. The Princess crept around the main halls of High Tide, peering to try and find her siblings. Logically, they likely went the route of the alcove leading out to the shore, she crept down the passages, hearing familiar voices echo.
âItâs him.â Rhaena proclaimed.
âItâs me.â A deeper one responded; the haughty spite rife on their tongue.
âVhagar is my motherâs dragon!â She retorted back.
Her heart thundered as saw the warm glow of the opened door to the alcove, she knew it was her siblings in there, and the other voice, well, how could she not recognise his⊠Aemond.
âYour motherâs dead, and Vhagar has a new rider nowâŠâ Aemond beckoned.
Rhaenaâs tone fierce, âShe was mine to claim.â
As Visenya approached the door, her wide eyes were met with the scene. Her four siblings all opposed a smug Aemond, she peered through, wanting desperately to join in the confrontation, though she knew she couldnât. Not with what had already happened today, not with her motherâs reputation already waning.
The silver haired prince raised his brow smugly, and sneered as he stepped forward, âThen you shouldâve claimed her! Maybe your cousins can find you a pig to ride. It would suit you.â
Just as the words left his lips, Visenyaâs eyes met his and for a brief moment she saw the anger increase tenfold as he noticed her gaze, so much so in the split second he had been distracted, Rhaena charged, growling at Aemond, instantly being thrown to the floor by him. Baela charged, punching him squarely across his pale face and he fell to the sand a low grunt leaving him.
Just as he had fallen he rose, with swiftly precision striking Baela, knocking her to the ground leaving her wincing. Aemond snarled, leaning over the young girl as she clutched her cheek, shuffling away from his hammering voice, âCome at me again and Iâll feed you to my dragon!â
In response, Jace charged but Aemond evaded his throws before the silver haired boy threw Jace to the ground â a sudden cry of Luke rang in Visenyaâs ears as she watched with horror as her small brother lunged upon Aemond and his fist ram straight into Lukeâs small face, forcing him too, to the ground. Â Lukeâs cry filled the alcove before Aemond looked up again, scoffing as he saw Visenya peering once more. Suddenly, Jace lunched once more, pushing Aemond to the floor and one by one her siblings descended upon him.
She didnât know what to do, nor why she couldnât move or speak. It was like one of those horrid nightmares where she found herself unable to scream or unable to run â just awaiting doom to befall her. Her eyes locked on the sight, her four siblings kicked and punching at Aemond as he writhed upon the ground whining. Baelaâs fist repeatedly struck him in the chest over and over again until Aemond managed to shove Jacaerys to the floor, then Baela.
As Luke raised his fist in anger, Visenya all but gasped as Aemond gripped her younger brotherâs small neck she nearly stumbled down as she saw Aemondâs blooded face sneer.
His hand rising up with a large rock gripped, ready to strike Lucerys head. âYou will die screaming in flames just as your father did!â Aemond proclaimed, his voice gritted and wrathful before he looked up once more, the word practically spat from his mouth, âBastards.â
Lucerys weeped, struggling against his much older Uncle as he choked for the slightest full breath, his voice simpering âMy fatherâs still alive.â
Just like that, a wry haughty expression came upon Aemondâs face, as he looked to Jace letting his hand fall to his side, âHe doesnât know, does he, Lord Strong?â The silver haired boy flashed a satisfied scoff before the sharp sound of an unsheathed dagger rang.
Visenyaâs heart nearly dropped as she found herself finally able to move, her feet forcing her down the few steps as she looked upon the sight of her brother pointing a dagger to Aemond, she cried, âJace!â Her feet soon reached the sand as she stopped herself, Baela and Rhaena looking over their shoulder in fear, cowering backwards as Visenya reached for them, swiftly forcing them away. The boys began fighting once more and Jace was back upon the sand whimpering when she turned her head.
As she did so, the princess stepped in front of her half-sisters and slowly moved towards Jace as he clambered on the floor. Aemond stumbled back for a moment, regaining his footing before raising the rock up over Jace, Visenyaâs eyes widened in fear as she froze, unsure of what to do.
Her gaze came to Aemondâs pleading for him to stop and as he looked at her, her chest nearly caved in upon itself as nothing, but a breathy snicker left his mouth. He was taunting her, enjoying the look of fear and helplessness upon her face as he dangled the rock over Jacaerysâ head.
Neither he nor Visenya noticed as Luke picked up Jaceâs dagger and suddenly a throw of sand made its way into Aemondâs eyes causing him to break the contact with Visenya and wince in pain. As he looked back, there Luke was her small, harmless little brother clutching the blade, standing before Aemond and with a fierce pained cry, Luke slashed the blade across Aemondâs face.
It happened in seconds, before she could even register the violence before her, she only saw how Aemond had toppled to the ground, the blood splattering upon Lukeâs face. Their Uncleâs unfamiliar cries of pain filling the space as he clutched his face. She hadnât seen what was truly done, but she did see the blood pool from beneath him, tainting the white sand below.
As the Ser Harold came thundering in, she felt the small body of Luke lunge into hers, his arms wrapped around her tightly, the stench of Aemondâs blood now staining her nightrobe. She slowly embraced her little brother, pulling him tightly against her, tucking him away as she watched the writhing Aemond.
For a brief moment the silver haired boyâs wide eye met hers and princess turned away from him, shielding Lucerys from the mess he had made.

A Boy, A Twisted Memory and A Desire for Love
So this is the first official Ghost story on my blog. I know, I know, it's been a long time writing and I've not written something for the guy, but it's really just because I get so worried about writing him poorly.
I know he's a big military guy who hates having emotions and kills any and all kindness in his heart, but I also really like the idea of him exploring the concept of healing from his trauma? I dunno, I just thought about it.
Also, like König, I can't imagine Ghost keeping normal pets. Originally I had him get a spider, but then I read over his backstory again and it made more sense for him to get a venomous snake. I think it's a major step to overcoming his trauma. By the way! Big trigger warning, this is about a snake! This entire fic centres around a snake!
Anyways, I had some fun writing this but it made me super sad.
TW: Snake, discussion of past abuse, emotional trauma, child abuse (referenced), emotional disregulation

Story Below the Cut
A Boy, A Twisted Memory and A Desire for Love
Simon locked eyes with the little black and yellow creature housed deep within its cave. It was a small thing, barely hatched from its egg it looked like. The length of a ruler at most. It was a light thing, covered in fine scales along its supple body. This thing was venomous, yes, but it couldnât do any real damage. It was a threat maybe to a mouse, but a man such as himself wouldn't fall to such weak poison. Swelling, pain, nausea, yes. But death? Not quite.
And yet, his heart quickened within his chest. He could feel the sweat forming on his brow. It had been so long since heâd seen one of these beasts, and yet the same fear from back then wormed its way inside him now.
âHungry?â Simonâs voice was particularly gravelly, roughened by sleep deprivation and lack of use.
The creature made no move. Heâd be surprised if the thing even heard him. Did it even have ears? Heâd have to ask the breeder later.
âBeen a long time since Iâve seen one of yer kind before,â he admitted. He didnât quite know why, but it felt somewhat soothing to speak to the thing.
âI killed the last one of ye that I saw. Crushed the fucker right under my boot, I did.â
It didnât seem to scare the beast off. He wondered if it really was more afraid of him than he was of it. He hoped that was true. He didnât want to admit that the fear still wriggled under his skin.
âHe wasnât anything like what my dad âad,â Simon closed his eyes as the oppressive memories washed over him, âthat one was a right bastard. Bigger than anything Iâve seen ever since. Shoved it right in my face, he did. Wouldnât let me go till I kissed it right on the lips. If it bit me, I wouldnât be standinâ âere. But you,â Simon opened his eyes, dark eyes matching two glassy eyes of inky black, âyouâre nothing. You're pathetic. Youâre⊠You're so small.â
Simon turned back to the breeder.
Finally, the creature came to its senses and slithered back further into its burrow. So sleek and streamlined, and yet so slow to move. It was afraid of him, that Simon decided the moment he noticed that despite backing away, it didnât dare look elsewhere.
âHow much for this one?â he asked as he pointed at the plastic cube.
âThat one?â the woman blinked and looked at what he was pointing at, âthe female or the male?â
âThe female,â Simon clarified.
âOh sheâs pretty, isnât she?â the woman adjusted her glasses as she slid behind the plastic cube, âpoor girlâs probably pretty scared being out here.â She didnât mention how terrifying Simon was in his dark clothing, rough fabric stretched tight across his broad frame. He was used to scaring people by this point. Sometimes, like now, he wished he wasnât.
âHow do you pronounce that?â Simon pointed at the name that had been scrawled in blue ballpoint pen on a blank sticker.
âBoida dendrophila,â the woman replied, âsheâs pretty young, but sheâll get big soon enough.â
âSheâs one of them big ones, yeah?â Simon asked aloofly.
âYou bet your arse,â the woman grinned, âsheâll be big soon enough. Donât know much about âem?â
âOh no,â Simon leaned down to take a better look at the little beast, âIâve been doing my reading.â
âYou got a big enough enclosure for her?â the woman quizzed him.
âSure do,â Simon hummed, âI built her an enclosure myself. Itâs nearly as tall as me, long too. Got some nice branches for her to climb and all that..â
âWow thatâs a lot of space. You sure thatâs not too much?â the woman frowned.
âShe wonât be in there for a bit, Iâve got something for while sheâs small,â Simon reasoned.
What a stupid question.
âOh well thatâs fine,â the woman broke out into another smile, âbut yeah sheâs eating mostly baby mice, an adult once in a while. You know sheâll be eating bigger things when sheâs full grown, right? You can handle that?â
âI think Iâll be quite alright,â Simon mused, âhave to admit, sheâs a right beauty.â
âShe really is, isnât she?â the woman gushed, âIâve been raising her since she was just hatched. But now? Well, normally I sell them off a bit sooner, but she grew on me. Unfortunately, the husband isnât too fond of her and wants her to be moved on.â
âWhyâs that?â Simon looked at the woman from behind his sunglasses.
âOh he got bit when she was the length of a pencil,â the woman laughed, âheâs held it against her ever since!â
âHeard her kind can get pretty feisty,â Simon commented as he looked back at the spider.
âThey can get a bit aggressive, I won't lie to you. A bit territorial, too,â the woman explained carefully so as not to scare off the only interested customer she had all weekend.
âReal fast,â Simon continued on, âwith nasty bites.â
âSounds like youâve done your reading,â the woman laughed uncomfortably.
âCourse,â Simon refrained from rolling his eyes, âso how much is she? The stickerâs ripped.â
âSheâs on sale, actually,â the woman grinned, âonly a couple hundred quid.â
âThat much, eh?â Simon straightened up to tower over the slender woman.
âNormally she could be anywhere up to four hundred,â the woman fought back against the subtle threat of intimidation.
âWell then,â Simon looked down at the cube, âlooks like I got a good deal then.â
âYou wonât go stompinâ on her, will you?â the woman furrowed her brows.
âNo maâam, that was just what I had to do when I went out to the Middle East,â Simon chuckled humorlessly, âI wouldnât dream of hurtinâ this here little lady.â
The woman grinned as she counted her bills, Simon smiled just slightly as he picked up the container and brought it back to his car.
When he got home, he carefully moved the little creature into the glass enclosure of dirt, leaf litter and cork bark. He put it back in its place on his shelf and smiled.
âDendrophila, eh?â he chuckled, âhow âbout Ophelia? Thatâs a cute lil name for ya.â
The creature only burrowed away under the cork bark, eager to get out of sight of the frightening giant before her. He didnât blame the little thing, heâd be terrified of himself if he was a younger man.
Once, heâd hardened himself into an unstoppable thing, a monster of a man. He had formed his shell through cruel lashings the world had lavished upon him. He took ablutions in raining blood. He was festering sickness or silver sin. He was what he despised in the world, the monster he tried to protect his own family from. When his brothers in arms welcomed each other warmly, they regarded him as a feral dog to be kept at a distance, chained in the backyard, out in the rain.
In Simonâs heart there was no room for love. He was not a man forged in kindness and love. He was the unfortunate son of Mr. Riley, cursed from birth to be raised in the muck and mire of human atrocities. He had been calloused by the time he was nine, and by the time he joined the military even the recruiting officers were afraid of him. He was too cruel, too strict, too much for anyone to handle. He could brute-force his way through life, but only for so long.
Even monsters had hearts. This was the unfortunate fact that Simon had learned far too late in life. He hated himself for how he wallowed in his loneliness. He thought his team would be enough, but there was a despicable part that still resided deep within him. He could offer his rotten sort of love to his teammates, but he could never care for them like he needed to. There was a part of him that had been stunted since childhood, and far too late it breached his skin to scream into his ears, begging him to please just notice me, notice me and don't let me die here inside of you.
He didnât want to, but he spoke to a therapist. It was Price's advice after he'd broken down with a bottle of whisky in one hand and a revolver in the other. Price promised to never say a word as he unwound his lieutenant's fingers from the trigger.
A week later he'd arrived at a small office. Theyâd been cowed by him at first. Everyone was, but something about frightening the one person he wanted to be helped by hurt a part of Simon he wished to rip from his chest. Once he would have laughed, but in that office, he could only hurt. No tears fell, but his walls did and he was able to speak openly for the first time in his entire life without the help of a bottle of jack and a pair of dice. It felt wrong. He hated it, but he learned.
His therapist told him that to help rid himself of this festering parasite of an emotion, he should try to nurture the damned thing. Simon had laughed in the manâs face. He then told him to go to Hell. The man had learned not to flinch in the face of a predator, and so pushed forth. He said that to grow, Simon could try getting a cat or a dog. Something he could raise with the love he never had been given as a boy.
He said that he needed something to love or else he'd never be able to heal. Simon scoffed and left the room, but not before booking another appointment. The smug look on his therapistâs face disgusted him. He turned quickly and left.
So maybe it was out of spite that he bought Ophelia, but there was a part of him that felt like he needed the little creature. He needed something to love, and so he did. He loved the Ophelia with all his heart. He nurtured her and cared for her as best he could.
Months passed, and he started to handle Ophelia. She hissed, she scurried away, she did everything to get away from Simonâs touch. He figured that if he had to face himself, heâd do much the same. He wasnât a creature born of love and compassion. He was death, in face and in heart, but each time he brought Ohpeliaâs container out and changed her water, when she ate from his tongs, he could feel his rotten heart beating within his chest. It made him smile despite himself.
He was not a creature of love, and yet it was love he felt when Ophelia tentatively reached out and slithered up his hand. When he raised her up, ever so gently, he couldnât help but cry.
How cruel was the world that a boy, born from street gutters and raised by heavy hands, would only ever feel love for the first time in a dingy London flat on his thirty-first birthday, alone save for the venomous snake in his hands?

(Also yeah Grandpa Iâm in a manly mood)
Note from weeks later: Nah this bitch a fix tf-
âTell me about my ĐДЎŃŃĐșĐ°*.â
Capitano looked down at the ginger with contempt. It was often now, since Dottore had let it slip - curse that bastard - that Tartagliaâs Grandfather was a Harbinger. Apparently the boy had been raised to think that great man was simply a lowly solider, not one of the most powerful men in Snezhnaya.
When he heard that, Capitano had never wanted to kill a family more.
They hid your legacy from their kids, how dare they keep living as thought they had any right!?-
He sighed.
The boy continued to bother the much larger man at any chance he got, borderline begging - or now was he? Maybe he crossed that line ages ago - the man to tell him anything about his grandfather.
War stories, tall tales, hell even DRINKING stories, the 11th would take any.
It wasnât like his Grandfather wasnât alive, Childe could leave the palace right now and go ask you, seeing as you lived with his family.
But what Childe wanted was to come home one day in a boisterous manner and shout at his parents:
âYou LIED you FEINDS!!! How DARE YOU LIE to not only ME but the REST OF YOUR CHILDREN about their ĐĐ ĐĐĐĐ€ĐĐąĐĐ ?!? And to YOU, ĐĐ ĐĐĐĐ€ĐĐąĐĐ , ALLOWED THEM TO LIE!!! How COULD YOU?!?â
But he held to much respect for both them and you, even if his father sent him off as thought sending his blood thirsty son to join the Fatui would do anything. It was like sending a polar bear to a penguins nest, he had no clue what his father was thinking.
No matter, because you were there, showing him moves and teaching him tricks and giving him tips. Though, he still felt a bit betrayed at the fact that you even hid the fact that you were one of the strongest men in Snezhnaya.
âYou truly wish to know boy?â The sharp voice of his superior snapped Childe out of his head. A quick nod was enough to bring Capitano to a nearby chair and sit, Childe quickly following.
âHe was brave, I can say that much⊠He was around before me and had made a name for himself long before I even dared touch the Fatui, let alone graced its ranks.â
Childe took in the information like a sponge, absorbing everything the man said.
âThey called him ĐĐŸĐ»ŃŃĐŸĐč Ń
ĐžŃĐœĐžĐș ĐĄĐ”ĐČĐ”ŃĐ°*, a powerful title Iâm sure you can see. It is said that before his accident, he had not lost a single man in war or battle, but after, he only lost seven men, one of each nation.â
Childe looked on in wonder. Only seven men⊠in the entirety of his Harbinger career? He knew the Doctor could never account for that.
âWait⊠his accident? Do you mean..?â âYes, when he first received that scar across his face, marring it, that was the first time he lost a man, someone near and dear to him as Iâve heard. I was only then truly climbing the ranks when this happened⊠a pity. But he wore that scar, and his friendâs Vision, with pride.â Childe gaped.
âWait, you mean to tell me that-â âYes, Tartaglia, that Vision he carries in his eye, as well as arm and ear, back and finger, even his heart, they all work. They are the last pieces of his closest comrades. Heâd rather die than give them up, Iâve heard. Unfortunately the strain of using them forced him into retirement, but he comes when we call.â
Childeâs eyes widened as he screamed.
âWAIT THEY WORK?!?-â

âBWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA-â
Ajax looked on in awe at his ĐДЎŃŃĐșĐ°. The nearly ten foot tall giant of a man, with a full beard and furry body hair to boot had just pulled a huge fish out from beneath the ice sheet they currently stood on while ice-fishing, bare handed.
Your roaring laughter echoed through the tundra as you held the fish up proudly. You grabbed the then four year old and hoisted him onto your shoulder, that which he could fully sit on and still have some room. His hands latched onto the side of your face but that didnât seem to phase you, as you continued your loud laughter. The cause of your laughter, being that the fish was the same size as Ajax.
âLOOK AT HOW LARGE IT IS, ĐĐĐĐĐĐŹĐĐĐ ĐĐĐĐ*!! SHE IS THE SAME SIZE AS YOU BWAHAHAHAHA!!â
Ajaxâs entire body shook as you continued to laugh, giggles beginning to bubble up from his own mouth.
He watched as your Hydro themed earring bounced around as your body gyrated up and down from the mere force of your laughter. His laughter grew until the two of you were basically screaming out through the tundra.
You sighed and - while still chuckling - wrapped an arm around the boys waist and began walking back home. Of course, not before grabbing the bucket filled with other fish from your fishing trip.
Ajax didnât want to say anything, on account of the fact that it wouldâve been disrespectful of course, but your arm that was wrapped around him was bumpy and hard and cold, not unlike a certain place on your chest, though it was just super cold.
The arm was usually covered in more layers or a bunch or bandages wrapped around it to soften its shape and surface, but Ajax could still feel the sharp points and edges, though he never minded.
Eventually you both made it back to the house you shared with his family, and ducking under the doorframe quickly alerted the family of your presents.
âĐĐ ĐĐĐĐ€ĐĐąĐĐ !!!!â Ajaxâs two younger siblings - a third was on his way, Teucer would be his name - ran up to you jumping at your feet. You chuckled more and let their heads, greeting each.
âTonia, Anthon, calm yourselves!! We were only gone a few hours hah hah!!â The two only cried out in joy louder, wrapping themselves around your legs. You stumbled for a moment before walking forward as if they werenât there.
A man and a woman watched as you walked into the kitchen and subsequently the freezer - ironic considering where you lived - to drop off the fish before waltzing into the living room. You plopped down in the couch, first removing Ajaxâs coat and then your own.
The two on your legs let go and smiled up at you, the man and woman - Ajaxâs mom and dad - walked over a gave you smile, a hand landing on your shoulder.
Your smile widened.
Archons you fucking loved your family.
à«źê°ă„Ë¶âą àŒ âąË¶ê±ă„ ËÊ ê°ââââàšđ°đšđ«à§ââââê± ÉË
Archons you fucking hated these enemies.
These fuckers from Natlan were resistant little fuckers. You chop off a hand and theyâd still keep fighting.
You were growing annoyed after hours of fighting, blood drenching your uniform and absolutely caking your hair, something you knew would be a bitch to get out from experience.
Your right hand of the time, a Natlander by the name of Eztil, was beside you through the whole fight. He wielded large war hammer made of various precious metals and stones, as well as prettified wood; it swung through the skies, heating up the air as his Pyro vision burned bright. Much like you, his battle-hungry smile was long gone, replaced by annoyance as he squished another enemy beneath his hammer, blood spraying across his already bloody face.
âUGH! Iâm getting bored nouehuepo*!! When are we going to be finished?? I am growing hungry and wish to challenge you to another eating contest after this!!â He shouted, completely ignoring the man running at him with a knife, whom was taken down by another Fatui member.
âI do not know ĐżŃĐžŃŃДлŃ*. But let us continue until no other man stands but us!â And with that, you both continued swinging. You with your fists, sickles and hammers, him with his war hammer and bursts of flame.
Your movements were in sync, almost like a dance as you ravaged the battle field. You had each others back, making you both the most dangerous force on the battlefield.
If only it couldâve stayed that way.
It was a second. A second to look back at your friend to make a mental check.
Then you felt a searing sensation on the side of your face not looking at him. Eyes quickly looking back, a knife was embedded in your skin and a man had his foot on your chest. He smirked, then dragged the burning hot knife up, towards your eye, but before you could fully react.
Everything went white in that eye, then black.
Then, the most searing, burning, awful sensation you had ever felt.
Your scream silenced the battlefield as you bat the man away with the knife still embedded in your flesh, his body skipping across the land like a stone on a lake. Eztilâs eyes landed on you, which was just enough time for another attack.
âEZTIL!!!â You screamed.
âŠ
A sword embedded itself through his chest. Both your eyes widened as your hand left the knife in your eye, reaching out to your now falling comrade.
You refused to cry, because heâd live.
Thatâs what you said to yourself as you rushed over to him, not minding your injury.
âEztil, donât you DARE fucking close your eyes, do you understand me?!?â Blood bubbles from his lips as his breathing slowed. A tear slipped from his eye as one of his hands pressed against your cheek.
âNouehuepo⊠take it.â He whispered. Your gaze became confused as you stared at the dying man.
âWhat..?-â âMy vision. Take it. She shall be of service to⊠y-you.â He let out a harsh cough, his blood not staining your skin, making you flinch.
âNo. It is yours ĐżŃĐžŃŃДлŃ, I could never-â âIt is my last wish. Y-you wouldnât deny a d-dying man his last wi-sh, would you?â You sighed, smiling at him.
âI donât want you to die of enemy hands, so would you allow me to do the honors?â His grin widened, a glint in his eyes as he laughed, which quickly turned to hacking up his lungs.
âO-of co-urse!!â He smiled, and you smiled as well. Your hand flew up to the knife in your eye, and tore it out, not caring for the fountain of blood that squelched out. You also didnât mind the large flap of skin that fell from your cheek, revealing the musculature of your face and your gums and teeth.
âGoodbye, my friend. May you find many fights in the afterlife to satisfy your bloodlust.â He grabbed your hand with the widest smile youâd ever seen in him.
âAnd ma-y I see you I-in that place!â Your hand came down onto his head, knife imbedding itself into his skull. Then, you raised your arm and planted the knife tainted with you and his blood now into his chest, striking his heart head on.
The light died from his eyes and his vision, but you quickly picked up the small red jewel which had been attached to his hair. Wiping it off, you leaned back and held your hand forward, before slamming the damned thing into your eye.
The battlefield suddenly felt as though it was atop a volcano itself, the air heating up and ash seemingly falling from the sky. You gripped your friendâs weapon, testing it in your hand and grip, swinging it slightly. Your hands pressed to your waist and your hand tilted to the sky, and finally, you laughed.
Your laughter shook the world, men falling in their asses as you showcased your joy. the air grew even hotter as the vision grew even brighter. Your entire body shook as the ear hammer in your hand heated up to a point where the metals were turning white in heat, though they didnât melt.
You turned to your men, a wide smile on your face and tears, one trail of water and one of blood, streamed from your eyes.
âWHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR MEN?!? LET US FIGHT UNTIL ONLY WE REMAIN!! CHARRGGEEE!!!!â
You continued to laugh as you knocked down tens of hundreds of soldiers in one swipe, the sky nearly turning red at the mere sight of your bloodlust and rage.
That night would go down in history. The night the sky cried blood, the fall of a nation of soldiers, the day Natlan would forever regret.
âThe Night Man became a Godâ

He only looked back at you.

Mafia-Au!
As the lovely @lepetitmonstre has posted some very good smut over on AO3 set in a Mafia-Au I with some other on discord came up with, I wanted to talk more about it! There is theoratically a plot somewhere, but no promises that this will ever become a finished fic.
The Emporer: Runs The Imperium, newest and now biggest Mafia-group in town. No one knows where he came from, how old he is or how many kids he actually has. A absolute maniac with no problems to kill people and thinks that covering everything in gold is a great idea. Malcador: Emps right hand man, he does all the boring stuff. One of the very few people allowed to criticise Big E. Very exhausted, he needs a vacation. Valdor: Eâs butler, bodyguard and whatever else he might need. Makes very good tea and cake.
The Primarchs: Eâs most important underlings he delegates most tasks to. Some, but not all of them might be related to him. (Note: I havenât worked out all of them yet) Lion: Hitman, tough he has been on bodyguard-duty for Sang a lot as of lately. Definetly-neither-heterosexual-nor-monogamous-lifepartner of Leman and absolute psychopath. He has a pet-lion! Jagh: Everything vehicle-related. Need a get-away car? A car disappeared? Just a limo-driver? Heâll do it. Also on the older side. No one really knows much about him. Leman: The other hitman. He has two giant definetly-not-wolves that might have a taste for human flesh. He has also been on bodyguard-duty for Sang a lot and yes, there is a very messy love-shape-thing-situation going on. Itâs gonna end in disaster. Sang: Daddys princess. The only one of his illegitimate kids E has ever acknowledged. He even tried to get her away, but why have a comfy luxurious life if you could do organized crime? Sometimes shocks people with how brutal she can get. Menace: Sangs cat. She found her in the trash. Has only one eye and probally wants to take over the world. Will try to murder everyone except Sang. Especially Horus. Rob: The one sane man. He runs a pizzaria (definetly not for moneylaundering purposes), the mafia is more his sidegig. He wants to get out, he is so tired of all that bullshit, but he also values his life. Has a surprisnhly healthy and stable relationship with Yvraine, despite her beeing from a rival group. Under no circumstances mention pineapple-pizza while around him. Floof: Robs dog. Heâs very big and fluffy and dumb. Loves cuddles. Floof is afraid of E. And cats. And gunshots. Because of that no one is allowed to carry firearms while in Robs Pizzaria. Horus: Empsâ only legitimate child. Donât ask what happend with his mother. The favorite child and heir to Eâs crime-empire. Also engaged to Sang, because you know, keep it in the family. Their relationship is a toxic dumpsterfire even at the start. Heâs thinking about⊠letâs just say getting rid of Emps. (Monstre changed some of the relationship-details for his one-shot) Alpharius and Omegon: No one knows where they came from, but E dragged them into his villa one day and announced that from now one they will do the internet-stuff. Most likely some of his many, many bastard-kids.
The Eldar: Used to be the big deal around, then somehow shattered into a lot of smaller groups and a lot got also arrested. Sometimes work together with the Imperium. Yvraine: Leader of one of the many Eldar-splinterfactions. In a semi-secret relationship with Rob. Still a absolute badass you should never underestimate.
The Orks: A gang of thugs/hooligans that just like to beat people up. There is very little logic behind how they act and they just generally are a problem for everyone else who is trying to do organized crime.
Chaos: The highly corrupt local authorities/police. They do absolutly nothing against the crime running rampant (except that one time Slaanesh destroyed the eldar) while getting bribes from everyone. But when they hear that Horus has some plans, they get interestedâŠ
I definetly want to include the other Xenos-factions, but I donât really have a good idea for them yet.

OH MY GOD??? BIRTHDAY??? womb evacuation day, as i like to call itđ
this got me thinking tbh. modern au, what time would genshin men tell u happy birthday?
first up our 00:01 squad would text u or pull up outside.. mmm thoma 100% hes down bad,, childe as well!! potentially venti
next the boys who wouldn't text and go out of their way to see u first thing!! diluc, kazuha & itto (trust me on this one!!)
would tell u whenever they happened to remember/see you that day .. kaeya, gorou, albedo
WOULD FORGET :(( ayato, xiao
failed to figure out how to text you and spent the morning pecking at phone buttons -zhongli
-đ«§
Hi bubbly nonnie!! i sincerely apologise for my tardiness (yes i still have your diluc req in the inbox, yes i'm working on it). anyway, here's what i think...
(romantic pairings bc i'm just like that)
"birthday"
thoma, childe, kaeya, zhongli, diluc (separate) x gn!reader
genre: drabble
word count: idk (oops)
a/n: i'm lazy, its been summarised, i don't even count this as a fic i'm just trying to make it look like one because you guys haven't been fed recently and i sincerely apologise. also i made up shit about fontaine to make it fit, do excuse xoxo
thoma definitely shows up outside with cake and a party hat for you both at 12am sharp. does a little dance whilst singing happy birthday to you, and once you've both gotten back into the house and you've blown your candles out, he will immediately pull you in by the waist and kiss you, he just wants you to know he appreciates you!
childe has a tradition each year of making sure he is with you on your birthday, he wants to be there to congratulate you on a new year of you, the second it comes along. The second the clock hits the hour of your birthday, he hugs you tightly before separating from you, announcing...
"you're just as beautiful as last year, darling"
kaeya, the flirty bastard... is still flirty. BUT doesn't want to bother you late at night so instead, he will find you in the morning, when you're in mondstadt buying some groceries, approach you from behind whilst you're trying to buy some fruits (he almost got himself punched) and wrap his arms around your waist. yes you very nearly elbowed him in the stomach, he managed to step out of the way. would casually place his head on your shoulder from behind whilst hugging you and announce, in a low tone...
"happy birthday my dear, i've gotta run, knighthood calls. see you tonight?"
"thanks, kae. see you tonight"
and not that either of you noticed, but the fruit vendor happened to overhear you both, offering you the produce for free.
"if there's anything the people of mondstadt know, far better than barbatos' winds, or how to spot a good wine, it's the cavalry captains love for his partner. here, have a nice birthday, y/n."
unfortunately due to circumstance, zhongli was not able to be in liyue on your birthday. of course, this made him quite upset. he would have teleported back only he had an important meeting in fontaine, and it was stipulated in a contract that he couldn't teleport, lest someone found out about something they shouldn't. thankfully, he had been gifted a smartphone by you for his own birthday the previous year, which he still hadn't quite figured out how to use.
at first he thought he should call you, forgetting that time zones were a thing. sadly by the time he had actually figured out how to make a call (he had to ask focalors, it was an awkward interaction, she also did not know.) he realised that you were quite a few hours ahead of him, and had probably already gone out for the day and couldn't chat.
so he decided to text you. which did not go well (his hands are too big for those damned tiny buttons). he isn't sure till this day if the message even sent, because you never responded.
turns out he had sent it to tartaglia, who actually understood phones enough to forward the text to you...
"gaooy biethdsy mt libe, u hipe thus dsy ia as beauutofil as tou"
diluc is bad at romance. let me rephrase that: diluc does not know how to express his feelings, but wants to spend your birthday with you, so he tries to make it look like an accident that he just happened to be by your side all day.
first thing in the morning, you will notice a noble eagle flying in the sky outside your home. you knew that this bird was none other than dilucs own.
"how strange... why couldn't he just ask me to come to the winery...?"
nevertheless, the large bird flew its way down to land on your garden fence, its sharp talons somehow not scratching the wood, and called to you (i know nothing about birds, sorry), before flying back into the sky in the direction you knew diluc would be waiting. so, you had no choice but to follow it, right?
upon arriving at the winery, you were met by a handsome man in a black dress shirt, holding a bouquet of cecelias. he grabbed your hand and kissed you on the cheek.
"happy birthday, y/n"
SORRY THESE STARTED OFF SHORT AND THEN MY BRAIN STARTED INFODUMPING ON ME
i apologise thoma stans (i'm one of you) i have let you down this day

Terrible Fic Idea #72: Game of Thrones, but make it Ptolemaic
There's something fascinating about the way the Ptolemys took over Egypt following the death of Alexander the Great - sure, anyone can conquer, but it takes an interesting mind to look around for ways to legitimate their rule and fall on sibling marriage as the solution. Yes, it was common among certain royal dynasties, but the Macedonian Greeks, from whom the Ptolemys descended, despised it. I would love a snapshot into how that first sibling marriage came to be.
It was this in mind I stumbled upon the idea for my next terrible fic idea: What if Jon and Robb were not of age with each other?
Aka: The Weirwood Queen Fic
Just imagine it:
Everything follows canon, with two exceptions: 1) Lyanna dies giving birth to a daughter at the Tower of Joy. Ned names the girl after their favorite Great-Aunt, Jocelyn; and 2) Catelyn loses the child she conceives on her wedding night.
(Robb is still born, but his birth date and the birth dates of all the other Stark children are pushed back two years.)
Now, it is one thing to return from war with a bastard when your wife has just given birth to a legitimate heir; it is quite another thing to return from war with a bastard after she miscarried. For this reason Ned choses to pass Jocelyn off as his brother Brandon's bastard daughter with Ashara Dayne.
Jocelyn's childhood is similar in many ways to canon, but not. Without her "twin" or any trueborn siblings to draw attention away, most of the castle dotes on young Jocelyn. Even once her cousins are born, Jocelyn remains the oldest of the lot, filled with the confidence that a child only has when they know they are loved. She loves her cousins in turn, but with the age gap they're never quite as close as canon, and she's more nursemaid for the younger ones than a playmate.
Catleyn, of course, loathes her, and begs for her to be sent away - which she eventually is. But instead of sending Jocelyn to the Silent Sisters, or across the sea, or marrying her off to a loyal man-at-arms stationed on the edge of Stark lands... Ned accepts widowed Rickard Karstark's offer for Jocelyn's hand. He's a loyal bannerman whose family has often wed Stark bastards and was notorious for his care and devotion to his first wife. It is the best Ned can do for her.
And so Jocelyn becomes the second Lady Karstark, which is awkward, as her stepsons are quite a bit older than her and her stepdaughter Alys is only six months younger, but Jocelyn thrives as a lady of a Northern House. Her husband is kind enough and largely allows her to run the house as she will, which is as best as she could have hoped for in a marriage.
By the time King Robert rides north two years later than canon, Jocelyn has given birth to a son, Brandon, and is pregnant with a daughter, Lyanna.
Canon continues apace, if somewhat delayed. Ned becomes hand of the king and loses his head. The North rises up, names Robb King in the North... and Rickard's sons Torrhen and Edward are killed by Jaime Lannister, for which Rickard kills two hostages. Robb still choses to execute Rickard Karstark.
Meanwhile, Jocelyn has been rallying forces to take Winterfell back from the Greyjoy's in the North. She succeeds, only to learn within the week that her cousin has made her a widow.
Jocelyn quietly rages. She'd never loved her husband, but she'd been fond of him. It's the hypocrisy that gets her most - because the Starks have always put family first, but she's known from the beginning that some family counts more than others, otherwise Ned would have never killed her uncle Arthur, or led her mother Ashara to throw herself off a tower, or allowed his son to think it fitting to kill her husband while they knew Jocelyn was preparing to take back his home for him.
And so what you have is Jocelyn continuing to rule Winterfell in her cousin's name but largely acting on her own, never outright ignoring Robb's commands while he's still alive but following the letter rather than the spirit of the order.
This continues for some time, with Jocelyn Queen of the North in all but name after the Red Wedding - holding off the Boltons and the Greyjoys - and gaining the respect of the North.
Into this enter Bran (as played by the Three-Eyed Raven) and baby Rickon.
After four or five years of playing Regent for Sansa, still held hostage in King's Landing, the last thing Jocelyn wants to do is give up power to her thirteen year of cousin who 1) spent the last five years beyond the Wall, letting her do all the hard work of ruling and 2) has no idea what the political situation is in the North. Most of the Northern lords feel similarly and insist Bran and Jocelyn wed, if only so Jocelyn can continue what she's been doing while Bran learns the ropes.
Jocelyn is even less happy about this, but goes along with it in name only, sleeping in a separate part of the castle.
This goes on for about two years, Bran making all sorts of subtle attempts to undermine Jocelyn's rule that - if they'd succeeded - would only have destabilized the North. Jocelyn is gearing up to have him declared addled by his trip beyond the Wall when she catches Bran - or, rather, the Three-Eyed Raven - trying to jump ship into Jocelyn's son seven-year-old son, Brandon Karstark, who with his Targaryen and Stark blood would make a better host.
Explaining to her bannermen just why she murdered her second husband is a challenge, but the evidence - that he was trying to kill her son - is rather irrefutable. Unfortunately, it leaves her in the same position as before, this time having to marry her her ten-year-old cousin Rickon to continue ruling the North.
Through all of this, it should be clear Jocelyn is doing this less out of desire for personal power - though there is a glimmer of that, especially when certain lords demand she give up her regency to man - then desire to stabilize the North. Ned and Robb had gone south, and it had nearly cost the North everything. All Jocelyn wants to do is keep the madness consuming the south from infecting the North too.
Meanwhile, Daenerys and Young Griff have joined forces in Essos, married, and begun their reconquest of Westeros. Amid the chaos, they succeed brilliantly.
They leave the North for last, attempt to replay the submission of Torrhen, but in a much weaker position than The Conqueror was - they have dragons, but winter is setting in and their martial might is largely exhausted by a decade of warfare. Regardless, Jocelyn tells Rickon to bend the knee, realizing the North can't survive on its own for long. For this they get many concessions - a break in taxes, the title of Prince of the North, and the betrothal of the Dany and Young Griff's son and daughter to Jocelyn's children Lyanna and Brandon Karstark respectively.
Jocelyn continues to rule the North, largely without the input of her third husband, who after his majority largely spends his time in Dany and Young Griff's ongoing military campaigns - putting down rebellions throughout their empire, pirates in the Stepstones, and the like - until he is killed crossing a river in Essos. The title of Prince of the North falls to Jocelyn's son, Brandon Karstark, who drops the Kar from his name and rules well - with the help of his mother.
Bonuses include: 1) Jocelyn never expressing anything other than familial fondness for any of her husbands, never sleeping with the second two, and largely being presented as an aromantic asexual who because of societal expectations forces herself to try to have romantic/sexual feelings for her first husband, fails, and then keeps her second two firmly in the baby cousins category; 2) An exploration of family dynamics in Westeros - specifically, what it means to be on the outside looking in as a bastard and knowing that your uncle and cousin don't seem to count the death of your mother, mother's brother, or husband as kinslaying, and being a woman allowed to hold the reins of power while the men are away and being expected to turn everything over to the first male claimant who shows up after you've done all the hard work; 3) The Three-Eyed Raven putting on a masterclass of how to be subtly creepy enough to cause everyone around him to think they're imagining things, when in reality it's worse than they imagined, and having been working even beyond the Wall to help bring about the Targaryen Restoration; 4) No one ever suspecting Jocelyn as being Rhaegar's daughter, and historians using the Valeryian looks her children have with their Targaryen spouses as proof Young Griff was really Prince Aegon; and 5) An exploration of the North, its traditions, and its religion, with Jocelyn somewhat inadvertently bringing about a revival of the last two through her desire to Damnatio Memoriae her late and unlamented Aunt Catelyn.
And that's all I have. I suppose its not as ptolemaic as it could be, but I was thinking of Cleopatra VII and her marriages to her two younger brothers as I wrote it, so. As always, feel free to adopt this plot bunny, just link back if you ever do anything with it.

Mikalight raising baby L how would they handle it?
Well, it depends on the circumstances really. For example, if it's a canon-esque AU where Kira Wins and Mikami and Light are happily ruling dystopia together, and then a reincarnated/poofed baby L appears, then I imagine it'd be a long learning process and lots of shenanigans. Especially if L remembers his past life. Pranks and both Light and Mikami tearing their hair out would abound. Tiny L wrecking havoc on their supposed utopia from the inside; but he can't do any TRUE damage because he's still too small to reach the computer :/ Bummer.
But I also have a fic in the works right now that's KINDA like this?? Just with a far darker twist and L being Light and Misa's biological childâHOWEVER given that Mikami is Light's boyfriend in that AU, I think I could swing it :D
Disregarding the darker notes of this verse (which essentially means getting rid of Misa's involvement almost entirely), I think Mikalight would make wonderful parents. Or,,,,maybe not wonderful, but certainly efficient parents. Mikami and Light move in together once he is given (saddled with) custody of L, and so now solemn toddler L is being taken care of by two of the most anally responsible people in the world.
Light makes sure that L has a balanced diet and, after several knock-down drag-out fights and tantrums, also manages to seamlessly include L's enormous sweet tooth with homemade cakes and pastries.
L inherited aallll of Light's autism and exactly NONE of his ability or desire to mask. Mikami, the stoic bastard, doesn't help this much at all. But L's original recalcitrance towards him is quickly appeased by the knowledge that he can simply look at Mikami a certain way and immediately be hoisted up to be carried around on his shoulders. Light disapproves but even when Mikami attempts to stop L just learns how to climb him and perch on his shoulders anyway. Mikami is largely physically oblivious and L is small and stealthy. By the time Mikami realizes what's happened, it's too late. He has been Climbedâą.
Mikami also teaches L to fight. L has a horrible habit of hitting when he doesn't get what he wantsâhis tantrums are almost always more physical than verbal or shrieky. So while Light teaches L how to better manipulate those around him stabilize his emotions through schemes thinking puzzles, Mikami helps L redirect the physicality of his tiny anger into something productive and educational. By the time he's ten L has likely learned three different forms of martial arts and how to talk circles around any mid level politician he may come across.
The funniest thing about this, however, is that when they all go out together; for L's birthday, an achievement bribe, a family dinner; L looks much more similar to Mikami than Light, which leads people to assume (due to his delicate features) that Light is L's mother and therefore subsequently a woman. Mikami has to viciously hide his urge to say "Yes this is my wife" because Light HATES when this happens, and L is irritated by it. He'd get ganged up on IMMEDIATELY.
However as L gets older he does, in fact, also find it incredibly funny.

Your Moniker Should Be Cruel | part 1.
Summary: How do you win a war between the Greens and the Blacks? Take what you want.
Warnings: 18+ THIS IS A DARK FIC. (Dead Dove: Do Not Eat, for those who use this term) Non-con and violence and death. Do not read if that makes you uncomfortable (and do not hate on my readers that enjoy this escapism)
Pairing: dark!Aegon x reader, technically Cregan x reader (his romance doesn't really get focused on for any of the story)
Word Count:Â 2.4k
Series Masterlist
Despite your protests, you and your siblings had to go to Kingâs Landing. Especially you. After Jace was born with dark hair, your mother and father realized that they had to try until they had a child. It worked.
After you were born, no one questioned the legitimacy of your brothers. Not out loud. You were obviously Laenorâs child so why wouldnât the others be if you werenât even firstborn? Rhaenyra and Laenor couldnât possibly have a bastard first and trueborn second yet still name the firstborn heir.Â
You never minded being the political chess piece for your siblings and parents. Your mother and father had always been honest with you. They felt they owed you that much. It truly didnât bother you. Plus, your parents always showered you with extra love. So did Ser Harwin when he was still alive. Having three parents and three brothers was more than a girl could ask for. Â
You were also the only one who knew the truth about Laenorâs death. Daemon and Rhaenyra knew it would be cruel of them to let you think he was actually dead. You were happy for your father that he could live the way he truly wanted.
About once a month you received letters from Laenor. They were never signed with his name. They were always signed with the moniker of your grandfather â The Sea Snake. Every letter started the same: Let me tell you a story. Of course they were never stories but Laenorâs real life.Â
You watched your raven with the latest letter about how you didnât want to go to Kingâs Landing fly off before joining the rest of your family. As the only legitimate child, you had to go with them. Maybe just seeing you would remind Ser Vaemond about the notion of family. Luke was your brother and the heir to Driftmark. You didnât see why your uncle was being so vindictive about it. And you didnât see why you had to go on ship instead of dragon. You suspected it was because your mother knew you would take the first opportunity you could get to leave. Jace approached you as the ship started to dock.Â
âWhat is wrong, dear sister? We are coming home,â he said as he leaned his arms on the railing.Â
You rolled your eyes. âThis is your home, Mister Heir to the Throne.âÂ
Jace laughed as he swung his arm over your shoulder. âDo you think Iâd kick you out when I take the throne?âÂ
âI wish you would. If I had to be anywhere but Dragonstone then Iâd rather be with Lord Stark.âÂ
âAh, yes, your betrothed. You know, I remember Lord Stark agreeing to visit so much it would be like the two of you lived in both Kingâs Landing and Winterfell.âÂ
âWell itâll be different when we do that. Mother will be wearing the crown⊠and we wonât be living with Aegon.âÂ
Your brotherâs face was no longer light and cheerful. He grabbed your arm. âIf he even looks at you, please let me know.âÂ
âI will, Jacaerys, I promise.âÂ
If there was one thing your brother hated, it was Aegon near you. Ever since you said that your uncle made you uncomfortable â only choosing to confide that in your brother â Jace would never leave you alone with him. There was something about the way Aegon looked at you that bothered you. It wasnât one of lust. That was something you could deal with. No, Aegon â and to a lesser extent Aemond â looked at you like a target. Like they could get to your mother through you.Â
You supposed they could. You were the only daughter she gave birth to. She loved Baela and Rhaena to death but there was something different when it came to actually giving birth. And Aegon knew that.Â
The only time you couldnât avoid your uncle was at the dinner your grandsire wanted. You tried to ignore all of Aegonâs crude marks that he muttered under his breath. It made your skin crawl. He smiled every time he saw he was getting to your brother. Jace finally had enough, hand slamming on the table. He held up his cup, everyone doing the same. The others smiled as he made a nice speech. He looked at you.Â
âAnd to my sister whose betrothal to Lord Stark is sure to be a successful union. He is not a man who is friends to those that disrespect his woman. Not that she needs the help, let all remember that.âÂ
Next to you, Aegon humphed but made no other comments. Dinner went without many more problems⊠As long as you ignored your brothers getting into a fight with your uncles. You took a quick stroll in the Godswood to collect some flowers for your room. You also wanted the seeds to try and grow them on Dragonstone.
Years ago, you had planted the purple and blue petaled flowers. They bloomed each year and grew beautifully. Carefully, you picked the flowers without disturbing their neighbors. You checked over everything before leaving the Godswood to return to your chamber.Â
A gasp escaped your mouth when you ran into Aegon. The only thought that could go through your mind was wondering if he was following you. You tried to sidestep him but he just blocked you instead. You looked down when he put a hand on your waist. Â
âYou are betrothed to Cregan Stark?âÂ
âYes, Uncle. I would like to get to my chamber if you do not mind.âÂ
Aegon didnât move. He laughed as you took a step back when he got closer. The stare was back. You looked around. If he just pushed you the wrong way, he could slam your head against the stone wall. Surely he wouldnât do anything in a corridor that was so public, would he? Aegon took a flower from your hand. He grinded the petals into shreds between his fingers.Â
âItâs a shame he gets to make you his whore.âÂ
Your eyes narrowed. Not caring about whether or not he followed you, you shoulder checked him and walked to your room. Daemon came down the hall, not hearing any of the conversation but seeing you and Aegon. He stopped you with a questioning look on his face. Despite not being your real father and Laenor still being very much alive, Daemon felt like a father. He cared about all his children whether they were his or not and would kill anyone for them. He held your face.Â
âHas he offended you?âÂ
You shook your head as best as you could with him still holding it. âHe is simply being Aegon. He also destroyed my flowers.âÂ
Daemon tried not to laugh as he looked at the sad excuse for a bouquet still in your hands. He took your word when you said you were okay and continued on to his chambers. You were so happy to leave Kingâs Landing and return to Dragonstone. More importantly, Cregan would be coming in a month or two for a visit. He wasnât your first choice for marriage but a princess didnât have many choices in the world.
Honestly, he wasnât even on your list for a man. At least he was a nice man, a good one. And he wasnât terribly older than Jace which meant he wasnât obnoxiously older than you. He had grown to be a friend to you and your brothers. And he understood that you werenât just a thing for him to marry and get kids from. He had no qualms about coming down south frequently to visit your family. It probably helped that dragon transport was no more than a three day trip on a bad day.Â
Your happiness was cut very short with the threat of war. Your mother delivering a stillborn, your grandsire dying, your uncle stealing the throne. It was all too much to happen at once. Everyone agreed with your motherâs decision for war. You all gathered at the war table and listened to her, Lord Corlys, and Daemon. As they talked, you thought. Maybe you could write to your father. Laenor might have been able to help. That thought was quickly dismissed. If anyone recognized him then your younger siblings from Daemon would be illegitimate.
The part everyone was arguing about was allies. Lord Corlys could aid in a siege by controlling Blackwater Bay with his ships but if the Greens had land allies then they might be able to wait it out. Everyone looked at you when you picked up pieces on the table and moved them without a second thought. You and Jace were like twins more than siblings. He spoke as you moved. Â
âSend us. Dragons are faster than ravens. And theyâre more convincing⊠Send us.âÂ
Baela, Rhaena, and Lucerys nodded. You finally moved the last piece to where you wanted.Â
âLord Baratheon will need force or incentive to remember his allegiance and vows. You donât need the Eyrie to win and you might not get it because they still hate Father no matter how much they admire Mother. Not to offend, Daemon.âÂ
âOffense not taken,â he said as he moved past you to get a better look at how you rearranged the table.Â
âWhat we need is something reassured.âÂ
âWhat are you saying?â Lord Corlys asked.Â
âWe arenât married but Lord Stark is a loyal man and his people are loyal to him. Whether it is acknowledged or not, the Starks are Kings in the North. Lord Stark is already their King and I am to be their queen. Winterfell banners always ride for family. All of their banners. Every soldier and farmer and blacksmith.âÂ
âHe would do that before a wedding? Before children that tie his family to ours?âÂ
You cleared your throat. Your mother, grandsire, grandmother, father, and older brother all looked at you. You supposed that you should have expected that when you opened your mouth to so willingly offer up the North. Scratching the back of your head, you focused on the table instead of everyone else.Â
âCreg knew oââÂ
âHe has a nickname?â Jace asked.Â
âYes, as I was saying, Creg knew our ceremony was going to be in Kingâs Landing and in the style of Old Valyria. We discussed it through letters. When I left Driftmark last time, I left earlier than planned. I stopped in the North before coming back home. We got married in the Godswood. Unofficially! There was no Septon and no bedding. It just made him feel better to honor his House. It wasnât real but in his eyes we are married.âÂ
It was settled. Jace would go to Winterfell alone instead of you as a formality since Cregan was a confirmed ally. You were going with Lucerys because you were the best speaker out of all your siblings and Lord Baratheon would be a hard man to bargain with. Despite being his daughters, Baela and Rhaena were the best choice for the Eyrie. Daemon did still inherit the Vale after marrying Lady Rhea with no kids. There was always a possibility they would be accepted.Â
Jace left first, needing all the time to make it to Winterfell. You all wanted to deliver the messages at the same time so you could potentially come back to Dragonstone already with armies. He landed his dragon in the open courtyard, everyone getting out of the way of Vermaxâs feet. The good news about dragons was that he never had to request meeting with someone. The guards had gotten Cregan just as Jacaerys fed Vermax and told him to not steal anyoneâs sheep as he waited.Â
Creganâs face dropped a bit as he came outside. âWhen they said there was a dragon I thought it was Sunchaser.âÂ
âI am sorry to disappoint, Lord Stark, that my face isnât as pretty as my sisterâs,â Jace said with a laugh. âI actually come with a message from the Queen.âÂ
âWhat does Her Grace need? Never mind, come inside and we can eat.âÂ
While Jace spoke with Cregan, you got on your dragon to go with Luke. Neither of you expected the Greens to already be there, let alone Aemond. Vhagarâs looming presence was terrifying even if she wasnât doing anything. It was more terrifying as you left Lord Baratheon with a failed message. Both you and Lucerys were betrothed and had nothing to offer him. He didnât want your youngest brothers, deeming them too young for his daughters who didnât want to wait forever.Â
Before Aemond could get his wish of fighting Luke, you two were escorted out. You tried to shield your eyes as the rain came down harshly. It seemed like it had no chance of letting up. Both Sunchaser and Arrax were nervous to fly. You couldnât blame but you two did have to get home.Â
Normally, you and Luke flew far apart from each other. It was almost a race. But with the horrible weather, the two of you stuck close. The dragons spit little balls of fire to help light their way and allow you two to see in the dark. You looked behind you when you thought you heard a low grumbling. Despite feeling a presence, nothing was there.Â
Luke followed your lead as you sped up anyway. Both of you screamed when Vhagar came out of nowhere. The rain made it hard to see and avoid the creature. You could hear your uncleâs laughter. It was hard to tell if Aemond was taunting or actually wanted to kill you. You didnât want to stick around to find out. Luke and you accidentally split apart when you two left the cavern that Vhagar couldnât enter.Â
Sunchaser banked a hard left when he heard Arraxâs yelp. Without even needing a command from you, Sunchaser flew between Arrax and Vhagar. He blew fire into Vhagarâs face, the dragon roaring so loud you thought you would lose your hearing. You flew up into the clouds.
It was clear above the rain clouds but you couldnât find your brother. You breathed out in relief when Arrax and Lucerys came over to you. With a nod, the two of you decided to go in the opposite direction. It was better to fly over land and lose Vhagar instead of staying over open water. You might even fly to Winterfell where you were sure to be safe.Â
You felt your heart stop when Vhagar appeared out of nowhere, biting Arrax into pieces. You couldnât see Luke. Had he been eaten or was he falling? If he was falling then you could still save him. You didnât get an answer to that question. Vhagarâs giant claws ripped out the back of your dragon as she scooped you up, still attached to your saddle.Â

Hypothetically speaking (since we still don't know what decision Aelys will make), if she asks for a divorce and goes with Davos (him or some other Lord) will Cregan resent Sara and his nephew?
Personally, I see Sara as a person who only cares about herself (as shown in this fic) so I don't think she regrets having been part of the cause of her humiliation and broken heart. in fact, I think she would complain to Aelys (reproaching her for they so-called 'friendship') or ask Cregan to do something about it if Aelys does get together with Davos.
(I think Davos was the father of Sara's baby, correct me if I'm wrong, I'm bad with names when I'm indignant).
Honestly, I have nothing against the baby, only against his parents and uncle for what they did, and the nerve of them for wanting to continue as if nothing happened. Wanting Aleys to just accept him and continue with her responsibilities and making her believe that she has to raise the son of her husband's lover. It has no justification and is horrible regardless the way you see it.
And the fact that Sara was her friend and did this to her is what makes me most angry when she thought only about herself, because by showing the child as Cregan's son it also protects Sara's reputation, whether that was the main intention or not.
I wouldn't be surprised if people start slandering Aelys by saying that she is incapable of giving Cregan a child, assuming that she is infertile because over the course of their marriage they had no heir but Cregan leaves for a few months and comes back with his 'presumed' bastard son.
I'm going to stop here because I wrote too muchđŹđ
sorry
Possibly, maybe subconsciously resent them and try to distance himself from his niece and sister. She is elder after all and should have dealt with he problems alone instead of asking for help immediately.
yes it is Davos haha
and Brandon is forced in the middle of all this with a life he did not choose. Perhaps when he grows up and knows the full truth he'll pledge himself to the wall to get away from his family and their lies and drama.
AH they would definitely start to start that rumor. After being married for over a year with no babe and he left and came back with a healthy son people would talk about more than just the scandal but also her inabilities as a wife. another good reason to marry another man and have children with him
you could never write TOO much âïž

How about two for one?
1. For the Yes or No game, would you say Kid Dracula provides much in the way of lore to the main series?
2. For the Character ask (surprisingly I wasn't the one who sent the Dracul ask), Isaac?
no :P
you were beaten! I hope I didn't say anything outrageous :P anyway...
Isaac/Hector: 11/10. love it <3 You know the drill, the classic divorsties, peak gay shonen rivalry down to the last parallel, they wanted to hatefuck so badly during CoD. What fascinates me about this particular ship is that Hector, our hero, is presented as the bad guy. He hurt Isaac by "breaking up" with him, when Isaac didn't really deserve it (yeah I know war criminal and all, but he didn't harm Hector :( ). Also I just like the versatility, I can imagine them as close intimate friends or miserable together and it always makes sense <3
Isaac/Trevor: 9/10. Highly underrated in the West and much more popular in Japan, people with good taste look at the Stabbing Scene and go đ without thinking. But beautiful toxic homoeroticism aside, I do believe the two could grow to begrudgingly respect each other as enemies for their dedication.
Isaac/Dracula: 8/10. Admittedly I kind of lost my passion for this one, but it's still a great villain/simp ship. Maybe Isaac deserves to be pampered too sometimes, even if his Lord's heart belongs to another man đ„ș but yeah, poor Isaac really loves Dracula and it shows.
Isaac/Alucard: 4/10. I found two fics with this ship. They did nothing to convince me the two would even like each other. If anyone wants to take the challenge, be my guest :P
Isaac/Abel: 7/10. This really depends on how much sentience you give to Abel. I personally think he's fairly intelligent. Of course, you can't get away from the fact that Abel is magically bound to his master, and the idea of Isaac using his "child" because no one else would want him of their own free will is just depressing. (perfect <3)
Isaac/Joachim: 8/10. Yes, there are only, I think, two people who ship them. But I got invested because they are stupid cute for being two bastards in love đ I just like the idea of Joachim finding a kindred spirit in Isaac...
Bonus!
Isaac/Dracul: 8/10. Finally, Isaac is going to have a Lord who actually cherishes him đ„ș and Dracul has someone to keep him company đ„ș I love ships that are about two desperate lonely people clinging together đ„ș
Isaac/Castle: 8/10. simp/simp let's goooooooo poor Isaac is just the perfect victim for the Castle's games and it's fascinating to see it pretend to wanting to serve Isaac when in reality it's wrapping its tendrils around his fragile little heart...
I've seen Isaac/Richter in fanart, but eh, until I read a fanfic I'm not interested enough. I'm not sure Isaac/Rosaly and Isaac/Julia exist, but just in case, no :P
#i didn't play kid dracula nor got informed on judgment#so i don't really see how kid or galamoth enhance the lore much#i might be wrong ofc

Your newest story!! Omg!!
Aegon I looking down from Targ heaven with Luke likeâŠye letâs wrap this upâŠour involvement in the long night is cancelled.
Rhaenyra and Helaena ending the same way on the spikes. Oh I know Alicent went from visiting her in her chambers every night (unwanted) to sleeping in Rhaenyras chambers long after she was gone.
I understand he needed to get rid of threats but now he wonât have an heir at all. I canât imagine him taking well to anyone implying Luke canât give him his heir however. So people are just waiting for him to die. Like the realm will tear itself apart to try rule after him. He really is mad.
Is Anneâs mam really still seeing Alicent as this paragon of the Seven and blaming Luke on aemonds shit?? The call is coming from inside the house sis. Alicent directly fanned the flames of this obsession. Luke was a corpse at the tourney right? Or is that pre-stormsend?
Do you see Lucemond as canon in this fic or is this delulumond in full force?
Thanks so much for sharing with us!!
Aegon I is so fed up after seeing each one of his descendants wiped out while the last man standing has lost his mind to such an extreme degree that heâs violating his other descendants corpse. Visenya is pissed off that Aemondâs gross hands are touching all over her sword and Rhaena is just like âdamn, maybe we shouldnât have come to Westeros.â Meanwhile Luke is sitting in the corner trying to figure out how all this happened? Rhaenyra keeps trying to console him but heâs too busy attempting to string together the events that led to his uncle becoming this damn crazy.
Babes, if Alicent was going to do anything she was going to seek Rhaenyra out nightly. Even though there came a point where Nyra stopped screaming and crying and just went radio silent until hearing the news about her last two babies deaths and deciding there was nothing left to live for. Alicent is so in love and exceptionally delulu just like her son that in her mind, Rhaenyra only jumped out of that window because she knew it would hurt her. Most insane mother-son duo in history me thinks.
The chances of Aemond having an heir are zero at this point. Thereâs not even a chance that Dany will be born to bring back the dragons because that dude isnât laying down with anyone but Luke, you hear me? And its not even just because his shattered mind somehow thinks he can simply have a baby with Luke/refuses to cheat on his queen, but that no woman would ever sleep with him knowing what they do. Theyâd likely off themselves before they could even make it to the sept (very understandable)
Though this wonât stop his council from trying to work out something behind Aemondâs back. It comes to the point where one of his men is like âwhat if we drug him with an aphrodisiac and try to find a noble lady whoâs willing toâŠyou know? Then kill him after the child is born in secret? Twins are common for them so we might have an heir and a spare or a future king and queen.â But the idea is so outrageous with so many plot-holes and chances to go wrong that everyone just slowly begins to accept the war thatâll break out over the crown once Aemond croaks. Only thing they can do is hope theyâre long dead once that time comes because the thought of another civil war is so draining.
In a last ditch effort his hand goes digging around with hopes that at least one of the deceased Targ men have a living bastard that they could legitimize but comes up empty handed. All Aegons died tragically, Jace was obviously too busy in Creganâs company to go out and sire a child, Daemon only had Nettles who they canât even confirm was his daughter + sheâs been missing since the war, Daeron was a nerd who would rather pray at the sept, and Viserys could barely wipe his own ass in his last days let alone find the energy to cheat.
Itâs heartbreaking when you think about because literally everyone, including Alicent is just waiting for Aemond to go to sleep and never wake up.
Lol, Anneâs mom is my favorite because sheâs somehow more obsessed with Alicent than Alicent was with Rhaenyra which is such a hard thing to accomplish that she kinda deserves a medal?? Her character is simply an embodiment of parasocial relationships and viewing the monarchy as these figures who are above everyone else. Appointed by the gods and all that nonsense. And yes, the tourney was pre Storms end!
Hmmm, personally I see it as a mix of the two. Lucemond had feelings for each other (Aemond more than Luke) but never actually acted on them let alone reached the extent of what rumors suggest. Though certain points like them meeting up before the dinner failure to talk things out did happen but without the âmaking loveâ part. However those are just my own thoughts because I intentionally left those details up to the reader.
Thanks babes, I always love hearing from you đ©·

Lines from... tag
I've been tagged by nearly everyone I know in this game, but as I have lots of lines to share, I'm going to do them all individually.
So thank you @bretongirlwrites for this one. All my lines here are from The Ruby Falls.
The rules are to share:
A line from your fic that makes you laugh
"I had⊠other concerns by then. Girls. Boys. O-Levels."
"Ah yes, the three genders,,," It's so simple, it's so silly, and it still makes me chuckle.
A line from your fic that makes you sad
Martin's face fell. His eyes flickered closed and he took a deep breath. "Please, Aderyn, don't be like this. I need your judgement, not your obedience. I merely want you to understand-" Aderyn slapped his hand aside. "I understand all too well." Tears stood in her eyes and she dashed them away, waving a finger in his face. "If you even so much as fucking think about getting hurt-" her throat constricted. "I swear to god- I'm gonna-" She dashed tears away. "I'll never-" Martin gathered her up in a hug, smoothing her hair down as she clung to him. "I know you will, my dearest problem child. I know."
I've said it before, and I'll say it again - Aderyn is nothing if not a scared child wearing the outfit of a loud, angry, brash woman. That she feels safe enough with Martin, just before the Battle of Bruma, to be even this vulnerable speaks volumes to their relationship. But this makes me sad, because she's so utterly, utterly terrified of losing him but she still can't quite get over that hurdle of just telling him that, and has to fall back on the "I'll never forgive you if you die" rhetoric.
A line from your fic you're proud of
[Belisarius] glanced down as she was plugging the seatbelt in. "You⊠bought a new laptop?" he asked, tilting his head. "Not exactly." Aderyn hunched down in the seat, bringing the bundle to her chest. Belisarius' shoulders went up. "You stole a new laptop." Aderyn shrank down further. "It's not what you-" she tried, but Belisarius reached over, brushing back part of the carrier bag. His hand stilled. In her periphery Aderyn saw his eyes widen. "Those," he said, making an effort to keep his tone even, "are the Commentaries. Why-?" "The Director told-" Belisarius pursed his lips, and then looked away. The engine started in a low-throated purr.
My pride in this feels a bit stale now, but at the time I thought it was the bees knees because I'd just been learning about subtext through body language and was pleased I'd been able to implement it to so effectively. So I'm still proud of it for that, so it goes here.
A line from your fic you think could have been better
A line from your fic that makes you want to punch a character
"Very well. I wasn't being hyperbolic â if you don't assist Broussard, then he could very well be captured, and Martin would be in danger. Since you gave your word to protect him, and yet he remains at risk, you are still in the middle of a job. Thus what I said back at the Priory still stands. If you abandon Martin now, I will make it known to everyone important within the community that you deserted on a job." Preston leant over the table, fixing Aderyn with a stone-cold look. "I will see that you're unemployable if you don't do as I order."
Gods, Jauffre's a cunt, eh? A ruthless, stone-cold bastard. He failed his last employer, the new one is in danger, and by hook, crook, and blackmail, he's going to set things right. (he's also angry and grieving his best friend, but shh, that's not supposed to be the takeaway here since we're in Aderyn's POV).
A line from your fic that makes you go 'aww'
Aderyn clicked her tongue and held out a hand. "It'll still be there in the morning. C'mon Dad." Martin froze in the act of reaching for her hand, staring up at Aderyn's wide eyes. "I mean- Um. Like. I was joking, yeah?" She gave an uncertain smile. Martin blinked. "Ah⊠Yes. Of course you were, problem child." He grabbed her hand, and allowed her to pull him upright.
It's just slips out. She plays it off as a joke, but they both know how they feel.
A line from your fic that's full of symbolism
"I'm sorry, Miss-?" "Griffiths." He smiled shyly. "We didn't know there would be an extra person coming. Aderyn snorted. "You and me both." "I'm afraid you'll need to squeeze in on the end here," Darrow said, arranging the cutlery. She stepped back as Economou slid a folding chair into place, pursing his lips as he looked down the table. The grey metal stood out, starkly different to the rest of the elegantly carved wooden set. Economou opened his mouth as if to say something, but Aderyn waved it away. "No worries," she said, sliding into her seat.
Is it too on the nose? Maybe. I'm not a subtle person TBH. I'm planning a similar scene later on where they find an extra matching seat and, yeah, that's also on the nose, but if it works to get the point over then it works.
A line from your fic that contains an Easter egg
"You're still heavily injured. This isn't a video game, where you're healed in just a snap of the fingers. Aderyn, you can't go out into the field in this state." Martin frowned.
I'm so funny (half sarcasm). In case the context of this one has been missed, The Ruby Falls is set in a Modern, Non-magic AU, but based off a game that very much has magic with the ability to do this.
A line from your fic that's shocking
A line from your fic you want to talk about more

Annual F/O Report Time!
Line up all your main F/O's over the years (From when you were a child to right this moment), and answer these questions in the reblogs:
1. What qualities (Physical, Personality-Wise, Fandom, etc) stayed the same?
2. What qualities changed over the years?
3. Is there an obvious odd ball?
4. Who lasted the longest? How long?
5. Did any overlap?
6. Who did you love the most/who did you have the most fun with, even if you don't feel quite the same about the character anymore?
7. Are they all still comforting to you or do you dislike any nowadays? / How do you feel about them all now?
Mine are below the cut XD
Okay mine have been:
Jafar, Aladdin
Offenderman, Creepypasta
Freddy Krueger, A Nightmare On Elm Street Franchise
Jim Bickerman, Lake Placid Franchise
~
1. What qualities (Physical, Personality-Wise, Fandom, etc) stayed the same?: Uhhhhh... đźâđš I don't think I like this game anymore... XDDD They are all very cunning, antagonistic, perverted old bastards.
2. What qualities changed over the years?: I seem to be mellowing out with Jim XD Hopefully XD
3. Is there an obvious odd ball?: Theirs 2! ^^ I'd say Offender is one, because he's the only one fitting into the overtly traditional buff, sexy, charming supernatural archetype (Even if that is traditional... monster-fucker wise XD ). And Jim because he is not, strictly, a villain. He's not great but he's not the worst person ever either like the rest all are (: (: (: Yeah. I'm very pleased with myself for picking him for that reason- XDD đ
đ
đ
4. Who lasted the longest? How long?: Freddy! Uh, I only just recently cooled off of him so probably... like... 4 years? Offender is probably just under.
5. Did any overlap?: Yes. Offender and Freddy definitely overlapped, I remember they were at the top my tag list together on my old blog- and Freddy and Jim. For obvious reasons.
6. Who did you love the most/who did you have the most fun with, even if you don't feel quite the same about the character anymore?: Offender... XD I wrote the most fanfiction that I actually loved (And still love), regarding and/or about him and I even finished 2 whole chapter fic's for him! That was amazing! ^^ And I was more squirrelly about him then any of the others đ
Freddy came close but, you know, he doesn't have abs, so-
7. Are they all still comforting to you or do you dislike any nowadays? / How do you feel about them all now?: Short answer is I still love them all ^^
