It's been 63 days. The Castelo is cold, colder than it used to be.

Cellbit sleeps all day, and he barely rouses in the evenings for Roier to run his hands through his hair. But it's alright, Roier vowed to be there with him- in sickness and in health. He can take care of his husband, he can watch over him and take over care of the house.

Not that he's been keeping up very well with the chores. He constantly forgets to dust, and the only reason he eats anything anymore is when Bagi or Foolish restock the fridge. He hasn't seen them come in, but the notes they leave and the broken threads of spider silk are clue enough.

He hasn't seen Pepito or Richas anywhere. He doesn't think.

Roier finds it hard to remember things these days.

Cellbit is doing better, though. Or worse. It's hard to tell.

There are cobwebs in the corners of their bedroom, and cobwebs in the corners of their dining table that stick to Roier's knees when he sits. There are thin, spindly lines of silk tying the books to the shelves, and the papers to Cellbit's desk. No matter how hard Roier tries to keep things clear, nothing seems to work.

Roier slips silently through the blackstone halls, stepping into the kitchen and ignoring the wedding cake looming to his left. Unimportant, painful. The elevator is cool when he steps onto it, and for the first time in days Roier realises that he's not wearing shoes.

When he drops down into the fear room, it takes everything in him not to choke on a scream. It's covered in spiderwebs. Everywhere. Stringing along the lanterns hanging from hooks, curled around the rusted joints of a set of armour, stitching shut the countless chests lining the walls.

The walls are crawling. Roier barely holds himself back from falling and stepping off the elevator block. Barely.

The walls are crawling, and everything is white where the spiderwebs wrap around and around and around what was Cellbit's mind. Black where the walls surge like a wave and reach out towards him. Hundreds of thousands of chittering mandibles and scuttering legs.

They're watching him.

Their bedroom is safe. Their bedroom has Cellbit curled up under the covers and dust on the nightstand. Roier needs to make it safe. Cellbit is sleeping- has been for the last 63 days- but he is safe.

They don't let him see his children, they say he's unstable. But the Castelo! He keeps it clean, he holds Cellbit at night, he watches the spiders lower themselves from the ceiling and crawl through his fingers.

It's been 63 days. Cellbit is cold. Roier wraps his arms around his husband, who isn't gone, who didn't leave him on an island buried in sand. He wraps his arms around a shirt full of spiders where they skitter along the walls and down his back.

Roier hasn't moved in days. He holds his husband in their marriage bed, watching the walls thrash and writhe. He waits for them to come alive and drown them both.

I’m thinking of this weird AU where randomly one of my most powerful ocs literally takes all my fav characters and puts them in a weird house looking place and they have to do random missions, kinda like the amazing digital circus, and just makes them do that to the point where they feel right at home and most of their angst or something is gone.
