Naruto character stim headcanons

All Naruto characters are neurodivergent because I said so

•Kakashi

-masks very well

-tons of facial stims, hence the mask

-hand flaps alone or with people he trusts [gai, eventually the rest of team 7]

-rocks so much. Like he cannot stand still unless he’s on duty. Sways on the balls of his feet most of the time. Full body rocks when he’s alone

-goes nonverbal

•Naruto

-he cannot mask

-he also cannot stand still. He’s always bouncing or flapping or rocking

-never really noticed that he was doing it

-chronic leg bouncer and foot tapper

•Sakura

-masks well but doesn’t realize she’s masking

-hand flaps, cracks knuckles

-not many stims

-didn’t stim at all until kakashi and gai noticed she was masking and had a long talk with her about it

•Sasuke

-unnaturally stoic

-“hmphs” as a vocal stim

-doesn’t really need to mask as he doesn’t have many stims

•Gai

-physically incapable of masking and honestly doesn’t care about it

-he stims freely; hand flaps and head shakes are his favorite

-definitely shouts as a vocal stim

-he and Kakashi stim together after rough missions [it was his idea]

•Lee

-Gai taught him what stimming was and now he doesn’t care about masking either

-mostly

-he suppresses some when he’s trying to be polite

-stole the rocking stim from Kakashi and the yelling stim from Gai

-echolalia king

•Tenten

-moderate masker, sometimes she does but other times she can’t be bothered

-twirls her weapons

-sometimes she gets a quote stuck in her head and repeats it numerous times, thus triggering Lee’s echolalia on accident and now everyone is saying “two trucks having sex” and gai is begging them to stop

•Neji

-plays with his hair

-rocks back and forth with Kakashi

-goes nonverbal sometimes so Kakashi taught him some basic sign language

-they have a mutual understanding with each other since their stims are similar

-has some facial stims as well [triggers his byakugan?]

"you only say you're autistic because you want to feel special and different" actually finding out i was autistic made me feel significantly less special and different. before i was autistic i was Strange and Unpredictable in some sort of Unknowable way which Surely meant i was Predestined for Greatness (like storybook character). now im just some fuckin autistic guy like any other. i significantly prefer it this way btw
