I've scowered every tag relating to him, combed thru the 'duke centric tag' at least 8 times, this is what ive come back with, at least my personal faves

necessary reminders - duke pov, outsider pov, and some social media following duke as he gets used to his day job as a vigilante. flows really well, has a good balance of sad and happy, and gets dukes character rlly well

that which you cannot bear - THIS FIC WILL BREAK YYOU duke is kidnapped and its only down from there!! this is like, one of the first duke fics I read and it's still labeled as such in my mind. its well based, sooo cohesive plot wise, and stays completely in character w all its characters, especially duke, while exploring such an interesting facet of him > his tendency to self-isolate, insistence on being independent, and his stubbornness. sooo much good angst just incredible stuff while also staying hopeful and grounded. ALSO duke is an intelligent badass throughout the fic which is an important detail 2 me

signal, n. a divine act - same author as the last one, absolutely insane concepts are explored and its just so well written srsly it's like poetry. digs into some of dukes ideologies so well. if u like holy imagery??? kind of but not rlly?? ig you'll love this

this whole series is just so fucking incredible but something about my bodies made of crushed little stars I don't fucking know it messed w my brain chemistry, I've recced it b 4 bcs it made me cry but read the whole series, it's all duke centric and just so good. Saki writes bruce and duke in a way that fizzes u up w emotion and focuses on such unique facets of dukes character/dynamics and sleep well my little sunshine is soo cute and fun and soft >when earth finds the stars - bonus presignal duke and jason fic, balances being incredibly fun with a realistic zoom in on duke before we are robin. he's quippy and witty and always at the edge of his rope

not mutually exclusive - tired of bruce being kinda shoved into the role of dukes capital F father when that's not quite what their dynamic is? Then this is the fic for you!! Just good duke and Bruce interactions overall, it's sad and hilarious with just incredible dialogue and peak Bruce and Duke interactions

signals and symptoms - a classic sickfic and like one of my fave bruce bonding fic ever ever EVERRR!! really introspective abt dukes character and just so well done

even exchanges - some of u are gonna hate me for reccing an incomplete fic and esp one that doesn't look like it's gonna be finished anytime soon but even exchanges is so formative to my duke characterizationalong with portraying such a fascinating dynamic w him and his new family. it delves into his messy and angsty experiences pre-becoming the signal and is overall written like several subsequent punches to the stomach. promise ur gonna bitch and moan about this fic as much as I do

scientific method - extremely cute fic, watch Duke bond w the bats and slowly get more comfortable with them over time as they all tru to figure out what the fuck this guys powers are. Really fun dynamic wise, the dialogue is crafty and captures the familiarity between the characters. Really realistic about day to day vigilante life and how genius the bats truly are. really slice of life fluffy shit w some bonus sciencey stuff

Jily:

Anyways, it's a little awkward at first. They're both comfortable with the it and understand that it will get a little messy but they still don't want to ruin their sheets. James is so sweet though, he laid out some towels and arranged the pillows around the bed so she would be comfortable. He's kissing her everywhere, her lips, her jaw, her shoulders, her boobs, her tummy, her thighs. God how James loves her thighs. It's nice but Lily is getting impatient, one, because his lips and tongue were getting her worked up and his position between her legs was stopping her from getting any friction to hold her over, and two, because as much as she was enjoying this there were still cramps rolling through her lower stomach and it was hard not to tense and curl up in pain. So she tells James to hurry it up, making sure he knows she loves what he's doing but needing him to get one with it. So he does, he's gentle with it as he fucks into her, holding tightly to her hips to keep them in place. It’s so soft and loving and they’re both basking in each other’s bodies. The pain is lessening a bit and James is a good distraction and the two get lost in each other. Lily comes first, then James, and then he helps her finish again with his fingers. The two go to clean up together, James gets fresh pajamas for them straight from the dryer and they cuddle together for the rest of the evening.

Jegulily:

Lily's been grumpy all day. It felt like something was trying to claw it's way out of her stomach and she wanted nothing to do with anything not involving laying in bed. James was giving her a massage, sitting behind her and rubbing her shoulders the way she liked. It didn't stop her from doubling over and grabbing her stomach but at least it felt good between the waves of pain. Neither of them had noticed Reg standing in the door watching them but when they did, they couldn't miss the dark look in his eyes. Reg couldn't be blamed though, Lily had her shirt off and watching James’s oil covered hands working against the muscles was a sight to be seen. Reg sauntered over, he was only wearing a pair of sweats, and climbed onto the bed to kiss his girlfriend. He's biting and needy with it, teasing her "do Jamie’s hands feel good, love?" She's biting her lip and nodding her head, looking Reg over. He sits back up, hooking his hands in his waistband and lowering it to reveal the harness that was already situated on his waist. "If you want, it helps? James and I tried it once for me." He asks, clear in what he's referring to. Lily just nods her head again and Reg stands to finish taking off his pants and getting himself ready. He's climbing back on the bed over her again and gives her kiss, then James, and then Lily again while his hands wander up Lily's legs. He gets to her pussy and is running his fingers over her clit in a way that makes her whimper from the back of her throat. "His hands must really feel good." He teases. Lily whines and tips her head back to see James blushing. She can feel him hard against her back. "Please Reg, just... I'm ready." Regulus, with his strap situated nicely against him pushes into her quickly, bottoming out and forcing the air from her lungs. He’s quick and hard like he always his and it’s perfect for Lily. ANYWYAS as i said from my other account's reblog, it would be. amazing to see a licorice-focused update. YES, he HAS been included in multiple other updates, the most noticable one was the BTS collab (bro finally was significant in an update </3) but other than that, his entire existance has been pushed aside for other cookies.

now don't get me wrong, its cool to see new cookies appear in the game but.. can you... finish other pieces of lore.. please?? this doesn't only apply to licorice cookie obviously, but sinc ehtis post is only abt lico im going to use his lore as an example

if i recall correctly, the only even "hint" of lore was him briefly talking about growing up in the Licorice Tribe in Chapter 13, claiming how it was "a shabby town to begin with", and its now in complete ruins. now i've sorta havent played the entirity of Chapter 13, but i've went through many spoilers of it and noticed that. there's nothing rlly much, except for that. (oh, i did hear he did help control the Licorice Sea, but i am not sure if that's canon or not.)

other than that, devsisters hasnt really... done anything with him? lore related?? ivve seen another post mentioning something about how he was just reduced as a comic relief and had wasted potential, which i heavily agree on.

like.. devsisters you cant just briefly mention the tribe he grew up in and never mention it again?? theres so many people who would love to know more about licorice's past, but devsisters practically ignores that just for some reason??

it really sucks as well, because if more lore about him was revealed, i feel like people would get a better understanding about his character, and not be seen as some "haha funny emo!!!!!!!!!!" (off topic but he isnt even emo HELP. he. he was confirmed goth by cookie run's official insta page but yeah) cookie that would never be taken seriously.

also, if more lore about him got revealed, i feel like it would help explain more about how he turned out the way he was..?? yes, i am aware his little story info thing DOES explain it was due to the lack of recognition, but it would be better to see. an even more in-depth explanation, as the info given about him has always been really.. breif.

the main point is, i would really love to see a licorice-focused update. a CoD update would probably be good enough if they can't be bothered, but if there WAS a CoD update, theres a very high chance of licorice being pushed aside for some.. idfk super epic or new cookies for the CoD

I've finally read the most recent chapter of OWHAS and I'm heartbroken. I feel so bad for Star Holder, they're just like the rope in a tug of war with gods and people on either side, and it seems some have started pulling them in other directions too :(

Also, this is, what? The second time Eclipse has interrupted an important moment for the Star Holder? But this time I'm actually upset. I can't wait for the next chapter! You're writing is just so good, it's better than any food to ever exist or ever will exist, I'm sure.

But I've been putting off asking some questions for the sake of going through your other asks to see if anyone has asked my questions before, which has led me to forgetting my questions more than 10 times already. So I'll just do it now before I forget everything tomorrow.

You said this story has a happy ending, and I'm glad it does because my heart can't take losing anyone in this story, I've grown too attached (except for peepaw Willy and Aurelia, hate them both). Does Peepaw Willy ever get taken out of Sun? I don't know if that's the correct way to phrase the question, but that's the best I can do. And I know that that's most likely going into spoiler territory, so I understand if you can't answer that at the moment. Do we ever get to see Sun happy, like genuinely happy again? Do we ever get to experience any sweet moment with him and Star Holder? I don't like what he's become, but I know it's not him, it's the stinky rabbit. But I still want the best for him and Star Holder, I want them to get along when peepaw willy is gone. Has Pluto taught the Star Holder how to keep other gods from pulling out the star? I know she said she will while the staff is making, but I'm kinda slow, and I just wanna know if she's taught them that already.

AND LUNARRRRR! Never thought I'd simp for Lunar, given his first impression in the story and how he's been appointed by Sun to be our friend (as a distraction but still), I thought I'd only see him as a friend. But stars above, you must use magic because your writing and drawings seem to make the impossible happen. And I don't know if the burnt place Lunar showed Star Holder was their village or not, but if it wasn't, then does Star Holder ever get to see their first home again? Do they ever get to see the ocean? Do they ever get to experience childlike wonders and heal their inner child? Because I know it's broken. And do they ever get to have a familiar? And since they're a god, does that mean they get eternal life until offspring(s) happen?

Once again, your writing is amazing and this au has taken almost every part of my brain. Every time I think "Well this is already amazing, how can it get any better?" You always just come back with even more and it's so mind blowing just reading any of your works. I honestly do not know how I feel. It is a HUGE deviation from the book. Daeron had nothing to do with Harrenhal, he was with his uncle practically the whole thing fighting, and then he sacked a town that was aligned for the Blacks after Maelor's murder, and died. So, like I can see them giving Daeron more to do, and I can kind of understand them giving him a little bit of Aemond's storyline, since they gave most of his characterization to Aemond in the show. And frankly, I'd rather Alys be aligned with Daeron then Daemon, like a friend and I were kind of worrying about.

If it's well written, I can kind of see it happening and working. But this is HOTD, and well...it would also explain why we haven't seen whoever tf has been cast as Daeron yet, because Harrenhal was shot on mostly closed sets. It also gives Alys more to do, which makes me happy, lol. And if they are still gonna do Battle of Honeywine, it would give Daeron an introduction if he was at Harrenhal first, then having him randomly showing up at Honeywine.

This doesn't make much sense, anon, lol. I'm very torn on the idea. Basically, well written, it could work. But with these writers - especially fucking Sara Hess, who hates the Greens (and for some reason hates Daemon too?), I doubt it will.
