Did you do Everseer yet?
send me the name of one of the supers syndrome killed and i’ll write a little something about their time shortly before and during their stay on nomansian island - everseer, killed by model v.X1
Albert Goebel was not entirely upset about the wave of anti-super rulings that effectively ended his vigilante career. The luster of such a life had began to fade in the later years. Addendum (he should be specific): the luster of such a life began to fade after the repeated infractions from Gazerbeam hurt the cohesion of the Phantasmics. Having to keep a tight grip on his position of ruler was not how Albert wished to spend a majority of his time as a hero. Even after he vacated the group’s list of members, the Phantasmics never quite operated the same. The work had become frustrating.
That, and Albert was more than happy to never have to step foot in the germ-infested lair of some unhygienic villain ever again. Let the police deal with the obscenities of ne’er-do-wells. It was certainly about time they did.
Falling back into his psychiatric practice with Ms. Clara Keen was easy. She was one of the few with whom he always found collaboration to be easy, even when she was at her most strung out. Perhaps that was due to the fact that her mind, that of another psychokinetic, was easy to fall into sync with. They had been good at combating crime; it only followed they were good at helping the laypeople with their mental maladies.
One day, Clara would go missing.
Albert had predicted it months in advance. The day that she left work early pale as a sheet and barely able to scrounge up an excuse for her absence was no surprise to him. She did not return the next day. Or the day after. Albert had predicted that as well. Such events occurred.
When he received a parcel in his mailbox unlike any other, Albert learned why Clara had vanished.
Unbeknownst to him, however, she had been lured away from Metroville with the promise of becoming Psychwave once again. Albert was fed different bait. His services were being requested by a mysterious, paranoid patron. He would be treated to polished paradise free of microbes; he would be compensated handsomely. He had all the reason in the world to go– after all, he assumed, Clara was already there.
“Dr. Goebel.” Mirage was the first human face Albert saw on Nomansian, but she was not the first person he had been aware of. The pensive hum surrounding the island was comparable to that of any town or city. Albert had to wonder: exactly how many people were under this millionaire’s employ? It was hard to pick out any individual thoughts; what they were all hired to be doing was a mystery. “We are honored to have such a renown figure such as yourself in our company.”
The doctor was escorted to a meeting room. It was strikingly modern, with its high ceiling and glossy table. Albert’s heightened sight could not detect any sign of microbial life– which was beyond impressive. Even his own home was not so spotless. Still, compulsion kept him glued to his seat. Even as a half hour passed. Even as two hours passed.
The sound of wheels interrupted his thoughts.
Albert sat up straighter and strained his ears. Among his many gifts was not a sharp hearing sense, but he was certain the sound of some mechanical thing moving was not of his imagination. And it was moving closer.
Perhaps it was obvious that this was the layer of a supervillain, Albert mused. The beautiful assistant, the private island, the veiled request. He only wished his premonition had informed him better. But… Even if it had, he would have still come. For Clara.
“Jesus, what was that?” Syndrome pressed fingers to both of his temples to roll out the sudden sharp pain in his head. Upon opening his eyes (they’d shut immediately) he saw Mirage nursing her own pain.
“My guess would be it was our most recent guest,” she supplied. Syndrome grimaced further.
“Everseer? Really? I knew he was a powerful psychic, but that was stupid powerful. I feel like I’m gonna have a headache for a week.” He paused, and through his pain he was granted another thought.
“I’m kinda regretting setting the Omnidroid on him. Maybe we could have used him on some other project.” Mirage had nothing to say in reply; her expression read clearly, however. No use crying over spilled milk.

I’m just a little convinced that Brad Bird simply adapted his character designs/2D models for The Iron Giant to 3D for The Incredibles.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Annie Hughes vs. Helen Parr
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Dean McCoppin vs. Bob Parr
(Okay, this one is a stretch, but in profile, Dean’s nose is very similar to Bob’s)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Kent Mansley vs. Xerek (Xerek was Brad Bird’s original villain until it was determined that Syndrome was a more interesting and intriguing character)
But seriously, look at the face shape, the hair, the ears!  Kent’s design was definitely the inspiration for Xerek.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Hogarth’s Classmate vs. Buddy Pine
Tumblr media
And as a bonus, there are homages to Frank Thomas and Ollie Johnston in both movies!

Played some roblox today, trolling in fashion famous by dressing up as a dude named Jerek while my sister was wearing the same thing, but her name was Xerek. Eventually three other people joined us; Perek, Terek, and Derek. Together we took over the leaderboard and chased down people who didn't dress like us. We eventually recruited a few more people. Good times.
Join the Erek army, my acc is thegoodsuccjin

Pie Time
"Here we are, miss Minny." Tommy said, stopping in front of a manor. He got out of the front seat, went around to the back and opened the door for Minny.
"Thanks Tommy." Minny said, getting out of the limo with a smile. "Have a good rest of your day, hope traffic isn't bad."
"Of course young miss. Have a splendid time visiting your family." Tommy smiled widely as he watched Minny rush up to the door. [[MORE]]
Minny rushed up the stone walkway of her grandparents house from the limo, towards the ramp. She was excited, going to spend some time with them after school before her dads picked her up. She knocked on the door, smiling wide.
The doorknob creaked and then slowly opened to show an old woman standing behind it.
"If it isn't my sweet little munchkin." The woman, Margaret Deavor, hugged Minny tight.
"Nana!" Minny happily hugged her back, smiling. "Is Pop-pop up?"
"Here I am, sweetpea." Came the voice of Xerek, rolling up to them with a smile on his face.
"Pop-pop!" Minny rushed to him and hugged her handicapped grandfather, smiling when she felt the man's arms wrap around her.
"How are you today, sweetie?" Margaret asked, picking up Minny's dropped backpack.
"I'm good. I passed my test from earlier this week." She smiled widely at her grandmother, pulling away from her grandfather to take the backpack from her grandmother.
A loud ding was heard from the kitchen.
"Oh! The pie is done cooling!" Margaret said before rushing to the kitchen.
"Pie?" Minny asked her grandfather excitedly.
"It's strawberry-rhubarb, sweetheart." Xerek was smiling, just as excited as Minny.
"Yay!" Minny moved behind Xerek and began to push the chair.
"Whoa, Minny! Slow down." Xerek was laughing as Minny pushed him along to the kitchen.
"But Pop-pop, it's pie.." Minny said, rationalizing her behavior.
"Just like your father." Xerek said, referring to Winston. Minny might not have been Winston's biologically, but she had copied a lot of his behavior over the years.
They made it to the kitchen as Margaret was cutting the pie.
"She's just like Winston." Margaret said fondly as Minny stopped pushing Xerek's wheelchair.
"I like pie." Minny said, looking at Margaret as she sat at the table.
"I know, munchkin." The elderly woman said, putting a piece onto a plate along with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and placed it in front of Minny. She put two more pieces on two plates with vanilla ice cream.
After eating, Minny went to her backpack and got out her homework. She worked on it as she listened to her grandparents talk about their day.
When Minny finished that, she was reading a zombie comic when she fell asleep on the couch.
"She's so cute." Margaret said, carefully removing the comic from Minny's face and setting it on the table with her homework.
Xerek nodded, looking up from his book. "She is. I hope we can spend time with her this weekend." He removed his reading glasses as the lock on the door was heard unlocking.
"Well, here they are." Came Margaret's jokingly sarcastic tone as Winston and Simon walked in, covered in rain water.
"It's raining." Simon said, looking at his in-laws.
"You don't say." Margaret didn't actually know it was raining, but she wasn't about to let Simon know that.
Minny snored on the couch, muttering nonsense about the zombie monsters from her comic taking her pie piece as Winston packed up her bag.
"We can't stay." Winston said, zipping up the backpack.
"Are you sure?" Margaret asked, "there's pie and it's been a long while since you've been here."
Simon looked over to Winston, who smiled. He'd obviously been won over.
"Well, Minny did wake up early today so we should let her sleep." Winston said as Minny muttered again.
"No, Godzilla ... get your own ... slice of pie.." Oh yeah, she was completely knocked out.
"Rhubarb?" Winston asked, looking at his parents
"It's strawberry-rhubarb." Margaret smiled as Winston stood up.
After helping themselves to pie and ice cream, as well as business conversations, Winston and Simon decided to leave for the night. Luckily the rain had stopped so they could leave without a problem.
Simon picked up Minny and smiled, "have a wonderful day."
"Bye." Winston hugged his parents with a smile.
The three left, Minny waking up on the way home.
"Where's Gameda? He flew off with my pie.." Minny said, rubbing her eyes as Winston started laughing from the passenger seat and Simon stopped in front of the garage.
"I don't know, sweetheart. But we're home now." Simon said, turning to look at Minny.
"Oh.. Okay." Minny shrugged, forgetting about her dreams involving pie. For now.

Since The Incredibles Comics ended on a cliffhanger, here’s what I hope would have happened (spoiler warnings)
The Incredibles were proven innocent by the captives they saved (I mean, seriously, why wouldn’t that happen? They literally have witnesses who can tell everyone what really happened)
Everseer’s brain was able to stop Mesmerella’s mind control by controlling her brain (instead of the other way around)
Xerek is killed by the other villains
The former henchmen get to prove their worth and become a superhero team
Everseer’s brain was fixed surgically, and he now has a robotic body from which he can continue fighting crime
He’s still germaphobic even though most germs can no longer affect him (although he is justifiably afraid of getting a brain infection)
Others with superpowers start coming forward as heroes
