You couldn’t feel like celebrating, the team gathered in yours and Yoko’s room, well except for Wednesday.
Numbly sitting on your bed, you watched as Enid, Yoko and a few other girls from Ophelia came to celebrate, dancing around with the cup.
“Aren’t you happy Y/n?” Enid turned to you. You finally came out of your head looking up at her. “You okay, you don’t look so good.”
Looking up at them, you sighed, “Xavier kissed me today.”
There was a moment of silence before all the girls cheered around, squealing. Yoko pulled you from the bed, hugging you tightly.
“See, I told you it was bound to happen.” They smiled, “He likes you back.”
“See, I told you it was bound to happen.” They smiled, “He likes you back.”
“Wait,” Divina interrupted, though not around the winning team, she came in support for Yoko, “when did it happen? You never went away from the group.”
“During the Poe Cup.”
“You all stay here, and watch over the boat!” You yelled to Yoko, Enid and Wednesday before running off into the forest.
Ajax and Xavier had a head start of you but you were determined to make it ahead and finally win the cup this year.
Looking back, you saw Bianca slowly coming in the background, whipping your head back around, bumping into someone.
“Woah watch where you’re going.” You felt them wrap their hands around your bicep to stabilize you before helping you stand up straight.
“Xavier.” You sighed. As much as you wished for something to happen, you couldn’t let anything get in your way of getting that flag.
“In such a rush?” There was a playful glimmer in his eyes, “I think we have it this year.”
“In your dreams.” You clipped back.
“Oh, I do dream of you.” Your eyes soften slightly at the statement, before you remember where you are.
“Let me go!” You tried to wrestle out of his grip. Xavier was adamant of having you in his arms, and didn’t seem like he wasn’t going to let go anytime soon.
“Leaving me so soon.” He smirked, “One more thing.”
You couldn’t even think after what happened. One second you could see the flag in your field of vision and the next, you felt being pushed against a tree, with Xavier’s lips on yours.
His hands slowly trailed down your arms, wrapping them around your waist, your hands subconsciously placed on his chest. You couldn’t even register what was happening, dreaming of this moment.
Kissing him back, your hands were wrapped around his neck, pulling him down closer to you.
Feelings his hands dance around your torso, you heard the sound of footsteps coming closer and closer.
“I got it!” Your eyes widened at the sound of Ajax’s voice, pulling away from Xavier, seeing Ajax behind him with the flag in his hand.
Putting two and two together, you looked at Ajax then looking back at Xavier who had that cocky smirk on his face.
“Good luck.” He whispered in your ear before running off.
You felt embarrassed, angry, all whirlwinds of emotions. Swallowing it down, you ran to grab the flag before sprinting back to the boat.
“What took you so long!” Enid practically screamed, pulling you back into your spot. Having the clear vision of you guys holding the Poe Cup, you couldn’t think of what had just happened, rowing even faster.
The four of you started to row back, passing the AmontiLlado boat, seeing them starting to sink. You felt proud at the moment seeing Xavier’s face of defeat but turning back.
You ran behind Enid and Wednesday ran towards the finish, you all cheering for your victory.
“He kissed while I went to get the flag, and he-uh kissed me to distract me while Ajax was able to get their flag.” You confessed.
“Oh honey.” Yoko cooed, wrapping their arms around you, leaning your head onto their shoulder.
You didn’t want to cry, it was supposed to be a happy moment but nonetheless, you felt your eyes starting to water. Letting the tears cascade, you sobbed out loud.
“I really liked him.” You cried, the rest of the girls all sat around you, consoling you. “And he used me!”
“He’s not worth it.” Enid said softly.
On the other side of campus, Ajax sat at the edge of Xavier’s bed, watching him pace back and forth in his room.
“Dude, you're giving me a headache.” Ajax said, “Can you say something.”
“God, I’m so stupid.” Xavier muttered for the hundredth time at night, pulling at the roots of his hair.
“Anything but that.” Ajax sighed, he didn’t know how long he heard him muttering under his breath, “Just talk to her.”
“I can’t.” Xavier looked up at his friend, “You didn’t see her face, she looked heartbroken, it was like I betrayed her.” It wasn’t one of his best moments, but Xavier couldn’t hold it in anymore and kissing you while grabbing the flag wasn’t the time.
He planned it all, after you or him won, he wanted to tell you how he felt, kiss you then.
“Explain to her then.” Ajax offered, “You can’t avoid her forever.”
But you did.
The following Monday, you walked through Nevermore with Yoko, ignoring Xavier like the plague, which was a pain because of the numerous classes you had with him.
Walking into Mrs. Thornhill’s class, you started to make your way towards the back to sit with Yoko, but frowning when you saw Enid there. She sent you a sheepish smile before looking over your shoulder. Furrowing your eyebrows, you looked over your shoulder to see the station where Xavier was sitting, with an empty seat next to him.
Turning around you looked back at Enid and Yoko, sighing and rolling your eyes behind your sunglasses.
Setting your stuff down the table, you took the seat next to him.
“Hey.” He whispered, turning towards you, “You’re wearing your sunglasses, you never do.”
It made you feel a little happy that he noticed things about you, but shaking it off.
The sun never bothered your eyes that much, never really needing to wear sunglasses, but after spending most of the weekend crying, your eyes were red and puffy.
“Alright class.” Mrs. Thornhill called, you thanked whoever saved you at that moment.
Xavier was dying to talk to you, get your attention, anything. Looking out of the corner of your eye, you saw him scribbling on the back side of his paper, his eyebrows furrowed.
Looking up at Thornhill, you saw something being slid by your books, you looked down, seeing the self portrait of yourself. It was from the Poe cup, the cat makeup on your face, and the ears that Enid made you wear.
Your eyes soften slightly, seeing how beautiful the picture was. Collecting yourself, you pushed it back to Xavier, gathering your stuff before walking out of class.
“Y/n, wait up!” Xavier called for you in the crowded hallway. You turned back, seeing how everyone had been looking at the two of you. You wanted to talk, but you didn’t need half the population of Nevermore listening in.
“C’mon.” It was the first thing you had said to him in three days. Walking ahead of him, Xavier was on your heels, letting you take him anywhere. Arriving in front of the Poe statue, you look around the corridor before snapping twice.
As the statue started to move back, you both walked down the stairs in the Nightshades library.
Both of you stood in the middle of the room, both of you waiting for the other to talk.
“I just want-” Xavier started.
“Did you mean it?” You interrupted him. Your voice held no emotion, your body was stiff waiting for his answer.
“What?” He asked.
“Did you actually want to kiss me or was it to distract me?” You explained further.
“No, of course not.” Xavier shook your head.
You couldn’t help but start to ramble, “Because if it was, that was truly cruel, everyone knows how I feel about you and if you used my feelings to try to win, I don’t think I can be around you anymore and-”
Before you could finish, Xavier grabbed the side of your face, his hands on your cheek while his thumbs cradled your jaw, kissing you. You breath sucked in, your eyes wide, not even registering what was happening.
Your hands pushed against his chest, pulling him away from you.
“You can’t do that.” Your voice faltered. “You can’t play with my feelings like that!”
Xavier’s hands were still on your face, moving away from your cheeks, pulling your sunglasses off your face.
He saw the tears in your eyes, using the pad of his thumb, to wipe away the tears that started to cascade down your cheek.
“I love you.” He said softly, his thumb caressing your cheek. “And I’m an idiot.”
“You are.” You laughed quietly.
“Ajax told me I finally needed to tell you, and I had this whole plan, kissing you after the race, when we won.”
“When I win.” You corrected him.
“Right.” He smiled, before continuing. “And what happened during the forest, I just couldn’t hold it in anymore, I was an idiot for leaving you like that, I should have explained myself afterwards.”
“You really love me.” Your hands were wrapped around his wrists.
“Of course I do.” He smiled. “And I’ll spend the rest of my life telling you.”
“Yoko’s gonna freak when I tell them.” You chuckled.
“Really.” He started to smile, “I just told you I love you and all you’re thinking about is Yoko’s reaction.”
“Of course.” You smiled. “So are you gonna kiss me again?”
“For the rest of my life.”
fin.

LOVER – XAVIER THORPE x READER
MAJOR WEDNESDAY SPOILERS !!
SUMMARY – You go to Xavier for comfort.
Xavier knew something was wrong when he discovered that you were the person knocking at his door, chewing at your lower lip and looking so close to tears.
Since you started dating Tyler Galpin, you stopped visiting him at that time of the night. He understood that those encounters you two had could no longer happen now that you had a boyfriend. What you and Xavier had was already a thing of the past. You were still friends, even though he didn't like your boyfriend. Tyler tried to talk to him and apologize but there was only one thing Tyler could do to get Xavier's forgiveness and that was giving back what once was his.
—What happened? —Xavier asked. Instead of answering his question, you jumped into his arms, and he had to take a few steps backwards to keep himself from falling.
Xavier quickly hugged you back. His arms squeezed you against his body just the way he knew you liked, tight enough to make you feel safe but still soft to not make it suffocating. Both of your hands were on his chest, covering your face as you sobbed in silence, while one of his caressed your back, and his other one was at the back of your head, doing the same thing with your hair.
—Okay, let's go —. Xavier carefully pulled you away from him, holding your face in between his hands to make you look at him. His thumbs wiped the tears that rolled down your cheeks but it was useless because you couldn't stop crying. —Come here —. He grabbed your hands with his and guided you to his bed. You sat next to each other but Xavier didn't let go of your hands. —What happenned?
Your bottom lip quivered before you told him that Wednesday finally found the identity of the Hyde. Xavier's eyes widened after you told him and he quickly understood why you knocked on his door crying. He hated Tyler, but he did not believe him capable of doing something like that to you.
—I'm so sorry, y/n —. Xavier put one hand over your shoulders and you rested your head on his chest. —You don't deserve this.
While you sobbed on your friend's chest, you couldn't help but feel stupid and regret every single moment you spent with Tyler. Xavier warned you about him and you didn't listen, yet he was there, not making you feel worse by saying I told you, not closing his door at you for having been so naive, just comforting you and helping you to realize that it hadn't been your fault. You should've chosen Xavier, he had always been the right one.
Xavier wanted to kill him. At that moment he didn't care about how many people were killed by Tyler, Xavier only cared about the way he hurt you, about the way he lied to you. His jaw clenched thinking about how much you've loved Tyler, about the way your eyes shone every time you talked about him or after one of your dates, about how he played the nice guy around you but then was a true monster behind your back.
After what felt like forever, you were able to calm down and move away from Xavier. Your friend arched his eyebrows with concern. —How are you feeling? Any better?
You nodded softly. Xavier knew you were lying.
—Look, I'm not letting him anywhere near you. You would never have to see him again, okay? It's over. Wednesday willl go to the police, and everything will be over soon —. You didn't know if Xavier's words were making you feel better or reminding you of how you fell for Tyler's lies.
Besides Xavier's soothing words, there was something else that could make you feel better.
You stared at Xavier's lips, and when he noticed, he found himself with his eyes locked on your lips, thinking about how bad he had wished to have them so close to his again. He clenched his jaw, knowing this was wrong. You were having a breakdown. That wasn't a logical way of dealing with your problems but an emotional one that would not solve anything. An emotional response. Did that mean that that was what your heart was telling you to do, right? Not your brain, not what you were supposed to do but what you wanted to do.
Xavier softly shook his head, he was overthinking this situation. This was wrong, you were not okay. He called your name while sighing against your lips right before you finally kissed him.
Oh, but your lips felt so good moving against his. They were wet and salty because of your tears and he could do nothing else but kiss you back. Quickly the kiss got more intense, your hands held both of his cheeks as his helped you to sit on his lap. Your hands moved to the back of his head and your fingers tugged his hair at the root. Once you pulled his hair, he gasped and finally realized what was going on.
—We can't do this right now... —Xavier said while his hands went to grab your wrists. Your lips were still on his while he talked.
—Please, I need it —. You begged him as tears started rolling down your cheeks again, and how could he say no to you? Your eyes were red from all the crying you did, your cheeks were wet because of the tears, your bottom lip quivered softly but enough for Xavier to notice.
He could feel your hands shaking under his grip. And if he was honest with himself, he had missed your kisses so bad. Not only your kisses but your giggling at his door after you dodged Thornhill, your hums and snuggles when he kissed your forehead at night, your hands braiding his hair... He missed what you two had before Tyler Galpin. He wished you had come back to him in other circumstances, but as you said, you needed it.
You needed Xavier.
Your lips ghosted over his, Xavier swallowed nervously. Your breathings were heavy, your lips half-open making it easy for them to mix. —Please, Xavier. Just let me have this —. You mumbled. Now it was Xavier the one that kissed you, holding your hips in place as your hands dug into his scalp again. This was exactly what you needed. When your lips were connected with his, you weren't able to think about anything else besides how good it felt. And he didn't mind if you were using him to forget about Tyler because as hard as he tried, he could never say no to you.
Xavier tucked your hair behind your ear after breaking away the kiss.
—Where's him now anyways?
—I don't know, I think Wednesday is torturing him in your shack.
Xavier blinked slowly. —Wednesday is doing what?

TattooArtist!Boyfriend!Xavier Thorpe x Fem!Reader -- Summary: You've always been Xavier's muse, inspiring and motivating his work, but right now he wants nothing more than for you to be his canvas for his most recent design. Warnings: MDNI/18+/Tattoo artist Xavier AU/Aged Up characters/Spice/Xavier giving reader a sternum tattoo/Kissing/Pet names (Angel;Babe; My love)/Pinch of Possessive!Xavier A/N: This is the first fic I'll be posting here, so I hope you guys like it! (Also this was written at 1am so apologies for any mistakes)^^
It had been 15 minutes since Xavier started looking at you, still cleaning and sterilizing his tattoo gun, and he has yet to look away. You were reading a book you had picked up from the library before you met up with your boyfriend in his art shed, that was hidden in the woods on Nevermore's campus. Though you were deeply invested in your book, you couldn't shake the feeling of his gaze, so you glanced up to meet his adoring eyes.
"What?" You laughed out, inspecting his face. He looked like a kid who was scared to ask his mom for some candy, but his eyes were much wider (lost in thought, clearly), and his cheeks slightly more red.
"I uh.." He cleared his throat and looked down at the cloth and tool in his hands, that he had been thoroughly wiping every inch for the past several minutes; before continuing "My love, and you can absolutely say no, but well- I finished a design that I've been working on, and I was hoping to tattoo it on you?" He placed his tattoo gun on the desk before quickly rummaging through all his papers before finding his sketch book.
You stood up from where you sat and approached his chair, wrapping your arms around his shoulders from behind as you stared at the drawing he flipped open too. You already knew you would probably have let him the moment he asked in such a sweet tone, but you were stunned by the piece. It was a fairly larger sternum tattoo, that would wrap around your chest and peak in between your boobs. The drawing had such intricate details, and little parts that made it appear that he had designed it just for you. Even the chest model he had drawn matched yours damn near perfectly.
"Xavier.. That's beautiful, I'd be honored to be you canvas." You said the last part in a fake, more proper sounding accent. His eyes lit up and his head snapped back so he was facing you. You could've swore that if he had a tail it would be wagging.
"Wait seriously? Like now? Can we do it now?" You could only imagine how long a piece like this would take, and it was already pretty late, but you had enough caffeinated drinks that you really didn't care, with the look he had stuck on his face you'd probably let him cover every inch of your body in his drawings, hiding your skin away in the ink.
--
That's where you sat now. Lying on your back, topless and staring at the drawing of your tattoo in his book. Your page. Sure, he had a lot of drawings of you, but this was different. It wasn't your face, your body, your hair. No, this was you. This was something that clearly showed that he took a great look into who you really were. Each line told its own story; then you noticed it, scattered throughout it was letters, unnoticeable unless you were specifically looking for it, letters that spelt out his name. A grin climbed onto your face, as closed the book, setting it on the desk closest to you. You looked down at the boy with long brown hair, who's bangs had now been tied back.
"Your name huh? Claiming me now?" Blood now rushed back to his face. It was a part of the design he had completely forgotten about. A part that he sketched out while thinking about you with his name stained onto your body, showing that you were truly his, and his alone.
"I forgot about that, babe I promise I wouldn't try to tattoo my name on you without perm-" but you cut him off. He was almost frantic, which was cute, but always led to him rambling on nervously for at least 10 minutes.
"I like it, its not like its in bold, neon ink, keep it. Please?" You added the please with a small whine for good measure, to make sure he wouldn't feel bad about it. He just nodded and started prepping you for the stencil.
This was your first tattoo, so you weren't exactly prepared for the cold liquid to be sprayed on your body, but when it was you couldn't help but flinch, which made your usually gentle boyfriend, push down slightly on your chest.
"Angel, I know you've never had this done, but for this I'm gonna need you to stay perfectly still once I get the gun out." His voice was stern and dry, a huge change in pace from the timid boy from a moment ago, but not an unwelcome one. You found it quite attractive the way he could switch back and forth like that. You just nodded, and went back to admiring him at work.
-
It had been several hours since he started the tattoo, it was decently painful, but at the same time felt really nice. You had finally adjusted to the way he was doing it, when he suddenly lifted the tool and stood up, readjusting himself. You thought he was just stretching after sitting uninterrupted for so long, but instead he moved onto the table where yo were, positioning his knees on either side of your hips, squeezing you gently to keep you in place. How flustered you were must've been clearly shown on your face because, still keeping the machine away from you, he leaned down and kissed you, you could feel his smirk in the kiss. He was loving this. You'd been watching him the entire time, not his work, but his face and body movement, and he knew it. He himself had a hard time keeping his eyes on his art. Your breasts were completely exposed to him, and he loved knowing that he was the only one allowed to see you like this.
He finally broke the kiss, giving you a moment to fix your breathing, and stop moving before returning to the tattoo.
-
It was nearing sunrise when the tattoo was done and yet you both still felt wide awake. He hadn't moved from his spot straddling your waist since he got there, ,but he did have to pin down your shoulder every so often when it tried to move on it's own. He was surprised that you didn't ask him to stop for a break at all. You were in a trance like state watching his every movement, but at the very least it kept you still. He brought his phone out and took a photo of "the tattoo" He told you, but you knew exactly why he was so precise with his angles.

tonight you are mine — xavier thorpe
Guitarist!Xavier x Fem!Reader
Summary: Enid invites you to a gig with her new band, which leads to a certain guitarist taking an immediate interest in you.
Warnings: a little suggestive, singing (yes, this is a warning), idk music
A/N: i love this one, and i hope you will too.
W/C: 2.6k
“I promise you’ll love them. They’re like brothers to me. Except for Ajax, of course.” Enid giggled. “This is gonna be awesome!”
You smiled as she spoke over the sound of her pink Doc Martens slapping the concrete. Enid carried a tote bag full of what you didn’t know. All you had was your phone and a lip gloss tube, clueless as to why Enid insisted on taking so many belongings to the gig.
Enid only joined her boyfriend’s band as a lead singer last month, and you hadn’t seen them perform yet. You had never met the other two original band members, only Ajax, as he and Enid were almost attached at the hip. Enid had you listen to some demos over the few weeks she had been a part of it all, and you were beyond proud of your best friend.
“I think there’ll be a huge turnout tonight. Xavier told his college friends, and Rowan invited his study group. I can’t wait to get out there,” Enid grabbed your arm, a wide grin on her lips. “Aren’t you so excited? I am. I want you to hear these songs so bad.”
Your heart doubled in size as you listened. Enid was completely enamoured with the band despite only being in it for a short period, and you guessed that’s what made the boys so grateful to have her around—she was just as passionate as they were.
You smiled brightly at her and nodded. “I’m so proud of you, E. Soon, I’ll be waiting hours to get front-row at your concerts.” Then you widened your eyes jokingly. “I’ll have to fight teenagers to get tickets!”
Enid stopped you and turned toward you. She wore a giddy smile and shook her head. “You won’t be in line. You’ll be backstage. Duh.” Then she latched onto your other arm and shook your shoulders, both of you sharing the same elation, laughing together.
“Hey! What’re you girls doing?” A voice called from a car. You didn’t think Enid’s smile could get any bigger until she peeked around you to wave at her boyfriend. Ajax sat in his beat-up Subaru on the curb. Enid grabbed your hand and pulled you along toward the car.
“Just discussing our future success,” She exclaimed, opening the passenger door and sliding in. You got in the backseat and watched as the couple shared a kiss.
“Come on, at least wait until I’m out of the car.” You joked, covering your eyes. Ajax rolled his eyes and put his car in drive, pulling away from the sidewalk and back into the traffic.
“It’s okay, baby; she’s just jealous. She hasn’t gotten with anyone for months.” Enid threw you a teasing look and a cheeky smile before returning her gaze to the road. Your mouth opened and closed, no words forming on your lips as Ajax laughed.
You sighed obnoxiously and turned your attention to your phone. The pair in the front shared a few whispers before Ajax spoke.
“We’re sorry, Y/n. I bet there’ll be someone here tonight. There’s a lot of people coming.” He said, no hint of sarcasm in his tone. You met his eyes through the rearview mirror. “I know Xavier needs some, too, jeez!”
Enid slapped her boyfriend on the shoulder. “No! I will not let him anywhere near my beautiful Y/n.” It was the first time since this morning that you’d heard her voice so serious. “She will not be his rebound.”
“Yeah, I don’t want to be a rebound, Jax. But thanks, though.” You falsely smiled and looked out the window. The sun had started setting a half hour ago, and the sky was painted a deep tangerine.
“Just saying! Ever since he broke up with Wednesday, he’s been so pissed off. Nearly had my head on a stick because I ordered tomatoes on his sandwich. He’s fucking crazy!”
You had heard stories of Xavier, mostly from Enid. Tall, green-eyed, goofy, and sometimes timid. He intrigued you, yet you’d never seen him.
“Okay, Y/n. Jax and I are going backstage for like 20 minutes. Will you be okay on your own? I don’t want to leave you alone, and I know you hate that.” Enid explained as the car pulled into a parking spot behind the small venue.
You nodded in approval and got out of the car. “Yeah, that’s fine, don’t worry about me. Go be a rockstar.”
She gave you a grin and a hug. “I’ll dedicate ‘swoon’ to you.” Laughing, you pulled back.
“I hope so. We wouldn’t want Ajax getting a big head.”

You stood at the front of the crowd, securing the spot the moment you entered the doors of the building. As expected, the venue was packed. Knowing Enid was beyond ecstatic, you didn't doubt she was a little nervous.
Your mouth was sticky from the fresh layer of lip gloss you applied not 2 minutes ago, and you moved your lips together to ensure it was evenly coated. You wiped the corners of your mouth with your fingertips, and a short cough rang through the room, indicating one of the band member's microphones was on. You looked up and noticed an unfamiliar set of eyes focused on you. Your gaze quickly darted away to notice Ajax already sitting at his place behind the drums and again to see another new face on the other side of the stage. The boy had glasses and held a bass guitar. All who was missing from the stage was Enid.
Suddenly, the lights turned a deep purple, and the chords of ‘Monodrama’ started playing through the speakers. You looked back towards the first guy whose hair hung in his eyes as he plucked at his guitar strings, his body hunched over slightly. You watched him in curiosity and confusion. They were starting without Enid?
But your question was soon answered when the ball of sunshine you called your best friend came running out on stage, a microphone up to her lips as she sang the first line. Your face broke out in a smile. As the song continued, you saw her become more comfortable in front of this many people. She pointed at you and jumped around.
You nodded to the beat, mouthing the lyrics you knew before your eyes drifted to the long-haired electric guitarist. Xavier. As he played, his eyes met yours again. His dimples indented his face as he smirked, tongue poking his right cheek. You felt your face go warm, and soon, he leaned forward into his mic to join Enid on the chorus. You were in awe of how well their voices went together. He knew what he was doing and wasn’t afraid to show it.
Xavier opened his eyes to see you already staring at him after the chorus. Shivers ran down his spine as he watched you sing the words to the song he wrote. Sure, many girls had done exactly what you were doing, but the difference was he knew who you were—Enid’s best friend. The girl who his bandmate never shut up about, and Xavier had been eager to meet you. He continued your minor stare-off, grinning smugly to himself when you broke the eye contact, a smile of your own pulling at your lips.
The lights had turned blue throughout the song, highlighting Xavier's high cheekbones and long face. You had to force your eyes away from him to gain control over yourself.
Once the fourth song ended, Enid spoke to Xavier before she went backstage for a break. Her shoes were killing her. Four songs of jumping around. Four songs of a game of cat and mouse to play out between you and Xavier. One would look away when the other glanced in their direction, and only thrice had you caught each other staring.
You watched as Xavier walked up to the lead microphone, his converse only feet away from you. Expecting a new song to start, you kept your eyes on the bass drum to stop yourself from looking up at Xavier. You didn’t expect him to take a step forward and crouch in front of you. Your eyebrows raised when he held your gaze, his fingers moving in a lazy come hither motion. When you pushed onto your toes, he leaned down to your ear, his hot breath on your neck. His fingers tangled in the long strands of your hair as he pulled you closer, his fingertips scorching your scalp.
“Next one’s for you.” He said. His voice was so thick you’d think this throat was lined with honey, golden and sweet, and the crowd around you faded as your ears rang. Xavier pulled away from you and used his ring-clad finger to brush the tip of your nose. Your ears went hot, and you took a deep breath to control your racing heart.
The room turned green, and for a second, you thought you must've fallen into a dream. Xavier towered over you, his teeth pulling at his bottom lip as he adjusted the microphone stand, maintaining eye contact with you. It was a sensual moment that should only occur in the depths of the night in a bedroom. His dimples and devilish smile were the cause of the butterflies in your stomach, and you had never felt under such scrutiny. But it was an illusive feeling to be the focal point of his attention.
You knew the song as soon as Xavier started playing. Tonight You Are Mine. The sound brought you out of your daze.
“This is a new song I wrote, like, last week,” Xavier said before the crowd cut him off. His soft laugh echoed through the room as the noise died down, his eyes finding yours again. “We’re gonna play it for you tonight if that’s okay?”
Enid had given you the demo of this one only four days ago, as she said it was mandatory for you to hear it before tonight’s show. The song was one she was excited to learn, and who were you to deny her of sharing her passion? So you listened. And you listened, and listened, and told Enid it was your favourite one yet. And it was. The song was wholly sultry, and you found yourself going back to it each time you put your headphones on. She must’ve passed on the news.
In a sense, I'm such a mess watching you The air is cold, so hard to breathe Still, your breath is all I see
You could hardly breathe when he looked at you like that, played his guitar, and sang intimate lyrics to you. You were utterly entranced by his voice, hands, smile. He looked ethereal on stage like he was destined to be on one.
Don't be so naive You know that you are all I see
To your disappointment and relief, he broke eye contact with you only a few times—you weren’t sure how long you could stand under his intimidating and dizzying gaze.
But, it only spurred you on more. It made you believe you also had some power in this uncharted territory. You watched him sing through your eyelashes, the rasp in his voice making you warm.
So let me slip inside your ultraviolet disguise The daylight holds you close But tonight you are mine
Xavier’s eyes were heavy-lidded as he played through the guitar solo. He knew it was inevitable that he would have to face you after the show; sometimes, the thrill of performing made him cocky. He hoped you’d still like him when you discovered he was pretty reserved when he wasn’t in front of a crowd. Yet, none of his insecurities deterred him from wanting you. Because when you looked at him like that, he needed nothing more.
After the song finished, Xavier winked at you, and you desperately needed to get out of the crowd, go outside, and fill your lungs with cool, fresh air that would free you from the irrational thoughts in your head. You didn’t know the guy, but still, you wanted him more than anything.
Enid’s voice brought you back to earth. “Thank you for coming out tonight, everyone! I hope you had a good night and liked our music enough to come back.” She laughed. It was obvious everyone in the room had fallen in love with her personality throughout the night. Enid carried herself with such self-assurance it was difficult to find why you wouldn’t like her.
The only thing that could pull your eyes away from her grand smile was the burning on your cheek. Your eyes flickered to Xavier, who stood off to the side with his guitar. His hair was now tied back in a half-up style, and you swore your knees almost buckled.
As everyone filtered out, you remained in your spot. Enid came bounding over and jumped down to stand with you. “Did you have a good time?” You could see she was nervous to ask.
“Of course I did! And you played my favourite song,” You replied, grabbing her hand in reassurance. Enid smiled sheepishly.
“Well, I didn’t play it. Someone else did.”
“Well, someone told the other someone to play it, so.”
Enid wiggled her eyebrows, her voice dropping to a whisper. “I saw how he was looking at you. I knew he would like you, who wouldn’t?”
You rolled your eyes, heat rushing to your cheeks.
“But, you’re still off-limits. Only until he gets over his ex. That wouldn’t be fair.” Enid rambled before she stopped and straightened up. “And that’s my cue to leave.”
You looked at her hesitantly, unsure why she would be saying that. “What?”
“Bye, Y/n. Hey, Xav." Then she pointed him behind you. "Don't fuck this up." You assumed he made a face at her from behind you because then she laughed and walked backstage.
You’d never felt your stomach drop and your heart rate speed up in such synchrony. He was the devil in converse and a white tee.
“Y/n.” Your name on his lips was something you could get used to.
“Xavier.” You said, turning to face him.
“So you do know me.” He was taller than you. A lot taller than you assumed, and it made your legs weak. “I was under the impression that you only knew Ajax.”
You shrugged. “Enid mentioned you a few times, so I had to come and check out these band guys she was hanging around.”
“Final verdict?” Xavier’s mouth was pulled into a smile at the corners.
You purposefully took your time to make a decision. Taking a step back, you sized him up. He stood still, arms crossed over his chest as you eyed his hair. You rubbed your chin in false thought and then nodded.
Feeling bold, you looked him in the eyes. “Yeah, you’re cute. And talented. So, I guessed you’re alright.”
Xavier’s cheeks were dusted with pink as he laughed. You smiled proudly, pleased you got the reaction you’d wanted from him.
He then moved closer to you and leaned down so his eyes aligned with yours. “Well, I find you alright too. How’d you feel if I asked you to hang out in about…” He twisted his mouth in thought, his eyes flickering down to your lips. “Half an hour?”
You bit the inside of your lip in habit. “That would depend on what we would be doing.”
Xavier stood to his full height with an unconcerned expression as he uncrossed his arms and opened himself to you. “Whatever you want. My treat.”
You tilted your head, studying him. “Tempting.” His lopsided smirk and tired green eyes were too easy to fall for. “But, yes. I would like that.”
His lips slipped into an easy grin and he nodded, throwing this thumb over his shoulder. “Sweet. I’ll be back in half an hour to take you on our date.” He winked.
You shook your head, laughing as he stepped up onto the stage. “Not a date!”
Xavier didn’t turn back to face you as he replied. “We’ll see!”
Were you in too deep too quick?

The Poe Cup Aftermath
description: as poe cup came around, you had to make a tough choice. You decided to help the Black Cats while going against your boyfriends' hall. The Black Cats won, thanks to you, but now you need to face your sore loser boyfriends.
characters: xavier thorpe x afab!reader x ajax petropolus
all characters are over 18
warnings: nsfw 18+ (minors do not interact), pet names (angel, sweetheart, baby), very little use of y/n, established relationship, established boundaries and consent, although still mentioned, aftercare, fingering, penetrative sex (p in v), safe sex implied but not mentioned, oral (m receiving), way too much scene setting, let me know if i missed anything
wordcount: 2066
You were sitting at the table, enjoying the cake and bathing in the aftertaste of winning and happiness, radiating from your friends. Although you were happy for them, there was something inside you that made you anxiously look around and dive into your thoughts from time to time.
“What’s up with them?”Yoko's voice snapped you out of your head. You followed her gaze, and there were Xavier and Ajax – rid of their joker costumes already, much to your disappointment. Xavier sat there, head down, poking the cake apathetically, while Ajax was looking at something far - looking as he was contemplating the purpose of his entire existence. “So dramatic”, you thought to yourself.
“Well, someone is being a sore loser”, you remarked, turning back to your cake.
“Their lack of planning is not an excuse to ruin a perfectly normal cake. Xavier has been dissecting it for ages.” Enid scrunched her nose. “Yuck!”
You nodded absentmindedly. To be frank, you weren’t paying much attention to the conversation – well, you were happy to be some sort of help and contribute to your friends’ win (first in ages!), but it was just a matter of time before certain they found out about your part in their lost. In your defense, you really wanted to spend some quality time with them the night before the boat race, which, amongst other things, might have contributed to the “lack of planning” leading to an inevitable downfall.
It wasn’t long until you felt a heavy gaze on your back. You shifted in your seat uncomfortably, scanning the room with your eyes, until you stumbled upon Xavier’s eyes - and that’s when you knew your game was over.
You looked away quickly - too quickly for your liking - catching a glimpse of Xavier motioning to Ajax to get up. Realising you don’t have a chance to pretend to be super invested in the conversation taking place at your table, you moved on to plan B - flight.
“See you guys later, gotta go”, - you squealed, standing up awkwardly and walking hastily through the yard. You manage to get to the building, away from the crowd, getting ready to sprint down the hall, when you felt someone’s hand on your elbow, yanking you back. You recognised Xavier, although he wasn’t looking at you. Chin up, hand on your elbow, Xavier didn’t show any signs of acknowledgement of your presence. You were silently led, Ajax caging you on the other side, to Xavier’s empty dorm.
In those couple of minutes, you rehearsed your apology a dozen times. See that, it’s not like you did it to go against them. No, you just wanted to help a friend out, help Ophelia Hall, you knew Enid was getting stressed…
None of that would have gotten you out of what’s to come, though.
You felt Xavier let go of your elbow, seconds later feeling Ajax nudging on your back, trying to get you to move. Distracted by your thoughts, you didn’t realise you reached the dorm. You stumbled before the open door, walking in just a moment later.
Xavier has already made his way to the bed, sitting down, followed closely by Ajax. Ajax - your sweet, sweet Ajax - didn’t even look at you, prepping himself against the table, hands crossed at the chest.
You opened your mouth to speak, but closed it before you got a chance to explain yourself.
“So”, began Xavier. “We heard some interesting rumours today at lunch, while you were celebrating Ophelia Hall victory. Have any clue what that rumour might be about?” He asked, quirking a brow at you.
You shook your head, staring at the floor - that crack in the wood over there was looking mighty entertaining.
“We’ve heard that there allegedly was someone from our hall that made it out of their way to help the Black Cats in the boat race. I wonder, who could that be?”, continued Xavier, now standing right in front of you.
You looked to the side, so you wouldn’t face any of the boys, chewing your lower lip anxiously
“Cmon, baby”, said Xavier, getting hold of your chin. “Just tell us the truth. We won’t be mad.”
“Speak for yourself”, you heard Ajax remark, causing your breath to hitch.
“I’m sorry, I-, I just wanted to help Enid out, she was so stressed…”, you began to blubber, quickly losing your train of thought.
“I don’t have time for this”, Ajax said, and seconds later you felt him grab your forearms to turn you to face his way, Xavier stepping back. “On your knees, sweetheart.”
Those words went straight to your core, causing your knees to buckle, dropping to the floor with a loud thump.
“Look at you, angel, still can follow orders. I would even say you are such a good girl listening to us and doing everything to make us feel good, but you didn’t think about it when you helped the Black Cats, did you?” Xavier snickered.
“I said, I can explain, I just-“, you began, but was once again interrupted by Ajax, who you could tell was losing his patience.
“As much as I’d love to hear your excuses, I am getting a little tired of waiting. How about you get on with it and suck me off already?” He said, unbuckling his pants and moving his boxers out of the way.
“Now be a good girl and open up. Remember what to do if you want to stop?”
You nodded, enamoured by the look of his cock - no matter how many times you saw it, something about it made every time feel like the first time.
“Words, angel”, you heard Xavier add from the back.
“Yes. Tap your thigh twice”, you said breathily, your speech faltering. Your mouth fell open and you could feel Ajax’s dick slide in, further and further, until hitting the back of your throat, causing you to gag.
“Jeez, baby, you mouth just gets better and - f-fuck - better.” Ajax’s shaky breaths were interrupting his speech.
You whimpered quietly against his dick at the praise, vibrations causing Ajax to swear under his breath. You continued to suck him off diligently, sucking in your cheeks, paying special attention to his red tip.
“Get up”, he stopped unexpectedly, leaning back.
When you lost yourself for a second, you felt Xavier’s hands on you, raising you up. He pressed his lips harshly to yours, drawing out a moan from you.
“You’re honestly such a slut sometimes, darling”, Ajax was still out of breath.
“She is, isn’t she?”, Xavier said, pulling away from you.
____________________________________________________________________________
Now you were balancing on your hands and elbows on the bed, you heard bobbing up and down between Ajax’s spread legs. He reclined himself against the headboard, looking down at you. He was now shirtless, so you got to enjoy his beautiful chest and arms.
You heard clothes rustle behind you, bed dipping. Xavier’s hands made their way straight to your core. He pressed his long fingers right against your clit. Your rhythm faltered, and you pulled away, coughing.
“What’s the matter, y/n? Can even make your boyfriend feel nice without gagging? What a pity”, his fingers began to harshly circle your clothed clit. You moaned, trying to move away from the harsh touch, in the meantime putting your mouth back to work.
Xavier pulled your underwear off you, exposing your heat to the cold air, temperature difference making shivers crawl up your back. You felt his fingers slip inside - two at a time - roughly curling up to hit the spongy spot inside that made you almost see stars. Your whimpers were silenced by Ajax’s hips rutting up.
You were becoming a mess, clenching your walls around Xavier’s fingers. Xavier chuckled, continuing to pump his fingers in and out, hitting the right spot every damn time. Your legs were giving out, mouth basically falling open for Ajax to use. Rutting into the warmth of your mouth one last time, he came with a guttural groan, hands limping weakly and letting go of your hair. You swallowed his release, too distracted by chasing your own release to care.
As through a layer of water, you suddenly heard Ajax’s “Don’t you dare make her cum” and then everything stopped.
“No, no, no…” you mewled, clenching around nothing, desperate for any friction, but Xavier’s strong hands held your thighs open. You heard Ajax chuckle, looking smug and proud of himself.
“Xavi, baby, pleeease”, you whined, turning to face Xavier, tear-filled eyes and a pout - you knew he had a soft spot for that, but before you could see his reaction, Ajax spoke, grabbing your hair to pull you up to his face.
“You really think you deserve it, sweetheart? After what you pulled at the boat race? You made a decision like a big girl, now face the consequences - like a big girl.” Not giving you any time to answer, he kissed you harshly, only letting go when he felt you struggle to breath.
“You’re such a meanie sometimes, Ajax”, you murmured against his lips, although you didn’t really mean it - and he knew.
“As if that's not why you like me so much”, Ajax retorted, his impression smug. You couldn’t disagree.
“Be careful there, baby, you’re gonna give him an ego”, Xavier noted, from the back, lightening the mood a little.
You smiled softly - you loved them too much to be upset any longer - but you knew the night wasn’t over.
“You ready there, angel? Xavier’s hands crawled up your thighs, getting a good grip, bringing you back to reality. A quick “yes”, and you felt him plunge - all the way in, giving you no time to adjust. Ajax’s hand was caressing your back, another one on your clit distracting you from a noticeable stretch - two fingers wasn’t nearly enough to get you prepared - silencing your whimpers with kisses. Your vision was getting blurry and clouded with tears, the pressure on your clit not enough to make you come, but enough to get you overwhelmed with sensations.
“Oh, fuck”, Xavier panted. “I can feel her clenching already.”
You were close - dangerously close - to coming, but you knew coming without permission right now would get you into so much trouble later.
“Ajax, baby… a-argh… can I c-come? Please, I'll do anything, I just wanna c-”. You were a blubbering mess, face red with tears and hair matted to your face.
“I’ll remember to take you up on that offer some time. Now, come for us.” You cried out, eyes shut, slumping against Ajax’s chest. Xavier thrusts lost their rhythm and there he was chasing his own high.
The next few minutes all of you were silent, heavy breathing filling the room.
“You’re with us, baby?”, you heard Ajax ask, nodding ever-so-slightly.
“Jeez, my man, you really worn her out”, Ajax noted softly, looking up at Xavier.
“We did. Well, she did - me - too”.
They let you come down from your high a little longer, starting to shuffle around.
“Come on, baby, let’s get you cleaned up”, Ajax asked, trying to get you up.
“No, just wanna cuddle”, you mewled, pouting at the gorgon. He watched you with soft eyes, sighing - giving up - and settling back with you, pulling you into his chest.
“I’ll bring the towel”. Xavier, still feeling his post orgasm, braced himself, pushing himself up off the bed. “Not before I get my apology kiss, though”. He turned to you, capturing your lips in his before letting go moments later.
He comes back in a minute, wet, warm towel in hands, sliding it over your body while Ajax moves you around like a ragdoll. You hissed at the sensation of the towel coming between you legs, shivering.
“Sorry, angel”, Xavier murmurs, offering you an apologetic smile.
When your boyfriends deem you clean enough to hold off showering for just some time, the three of you settle in bed - your back pressed against Ajax’s, facing Xavier.
“So, wanna tell us how you came up with your great plan?” Xavier grins widely, teeth showing between his lips.
“You know we weren’t really mad, right?” Ajax adds, his lips close to your ear. Oh, you knew, you always did. “We were upset that we lost, but never with you, alright?”
You nod, kissing each of the boys, before sitting up.
“Well”, you begin after settling in comfortably. “It all started when Enid…”

Xavier Thorpe x Vampire Reader
Request: „Hii, could you do a one-shot with Xavier x Reader? I was thinking of friends to lovers, they're having a horror movie night, and in one of the films, two characters confess to each other when they're about to get killed. Xavier and reader start "hypothetically" talking about themselves in that situation and they end up confessing their feelings for each other.‟
A/N:Request from @starlight-poet . I hope you and others will like my work. Contains slight smut, minor do not interact. English isn't my native language , please be aware of mistakes.
Also, I decided to take inspiration from The Vampire Diaries when it comes to vampires, for me this adaptation is one of the best depictions of vampirism.
-Hello, stranger - the girl said, smiling as she walked inside.
-Well hello - replied the boy, letting her through the door, after a while closing it so that no one would disturb them.
The girl, having been in the brunette's room many times, easily found herself in it. Leaning onto the bed, she turned to look at the laptop beside her. On the desktop, she saw the titles of the movies they were supposed to watch today. Following each of them, she frowned, and after a moment she smiled gently at the boy.
-So, a marathon of horror movies, huh? - asked the teenager, leaning on the hand.
-Your favorite - he said, sitting down next to her.
-I'm glad you remember - she said, smiling sweetly.
-As if I could forget - he admitted, and Y/n gave him an even wider smile before taking a comfortable spot on the bed.
Xavier let her lie down on his chest, as was in his habit. For as long as he could remember, his vampire friend was clingy, but he only found out about it during the blossoming of their friendship, which developed unexpectedly considering the fact that they didn't play together well from the beginning, only to later become like two pieces of a puzzle ,connected to each other.
Girl was secretive and feisty. She often said things that would hurt, but Thorpe realized over time that it was her defensive instinct that she tested those around her and he was persistent enough to now look at a tender and caring version of Y/n who loved to laugh. And he loved listening to her.
-Why there is a couple in love in the slasher. This is not right film genre. I need a sea of blood, not kisses - the teenager grunted, thus waking the green-eyed boy from his thoughts.
His gaze was focused on her face, which was watching the movie in consternation and concentration, but he quickly moved it to the screen in front of him, wanting to understand what she was complaining about.
-Some people while on their deathbed want to tell others they care about them - he said, smiling slightly when she rolled her eyes.
The vampire got up from her current seat, standing nearby and clutching her heart.
-Xavier my love, we may not live to see the sunrise, but I want you to know that my heart belongs to you - Y/n said, trying to sound emotional, but then she burst out laughing.
Brunette shook his head, closing his eyes.
-We'll get out of this together, I promise you - he announced, playing along with her - I won't let you get hurt.
Teenager giggled, leaning on the metal railing of the bed. Turning her head slightly to the side, she stared at the boy's face in front of her.
-And what will you do? What if one of us doesn't make it out alive in the end?- she asked, frowning in feigned concern.
-I would die for you. I would kill for you - he announced seriously -No matter which decision I had to make. I'd happily make both.
His tone of voice was no longer mocking, no longer artificial. His heart was beating calmly, as if what he said didn't matter much to him. But eyes, eyes never lie, and they didn't lie in this case. There was so much emotion in them. Care, hope, joy and affection. Everything she hadn't expected during this moment.
-Xavier - she said, and only the tone of her voice made him understand that he had been caught.
-Y/n - he replied, looking at her expectantly.
-Is it true? - she asked quietly, but the boy heard her too - You don't play anymore?
Thorpe got up from the mattress, movie was long forgotten.
Taking a few steps, he stood in front of her, towering over her body, which seemed even smaller, even more delicate from this perspective. His hand rested uncertainly on her cheek, and she immediately snuggled into his large hand in response.
-If you don't believe me...compel me - he confessed, looking into her irises - You will know everything you need.
-No - she denied immediately, shaking her head - Bianca did it and she lost you...I can't lose you - said the girl, closing her eyes because of the heaviness of emotions that flowed through her body.
-You won't - he stated with a soothing smile on his face - No matter what you did, I probably wouldn't be able to let you go. I care about you, and I hope you care about me too.
-Oh Xavier - the teenager whispered, grabbing his wrist -Of course I care about you. I care about you as much as I am in love with you.
The green-eyed boy smiled contentedly, then he joined their lips in a kiss that was getting hotter, more needy and desperate by the minute. Their mouths danced together as did their tongues that came shortly after.
Y/n felt an inner hunger grow inside her, and then she realized her fangs had come out enough to draw blood. Before she knew it, the delicious taste of Thorpe's blood spread across her palate, fueling her thirst in tiny drops.
Veins appeared under her eyes, and the whites turned black. When the girl shook herself off, she almost jumped back as if she had been burned, running to the other end of the room. Covering her mouth with her hand, as she tried to calm herself.
-Something happened? Did I did something wrong?- he asked worriedly, trying to approach her.
-No, no - said the vampire, breathing deeply -It's just been a long time since I drank human blood - she confessed quietly.
Xavier only then realized the small cut in his mouth, which sting when he ran his tongue over it. Quickly ,pushing aside the wound that was not important to him, he slowly approached the teenager, trying to take her face in his hands, but she turned her head every time, not allowing him to see her.
-Hey, hey - he whispered tenderly -Let me see - he added, catching her by the shoulders.
This time the girl gave in, turning around. However, her head was still hanging down, still trying to keep some secret. The boy took her chin and lifted it up. Her darker side was revealed to him, the one that reflected who she was to the world, a dangerous predator. But to him, she was still the same girl who laughed with him, who admired and inspired his drawings. She was still his Y/n.
-My pretty girl - he whispered, trying to cheer her up before he bent his head, kissing her soft lips again.
The vampire gave in almost immediately, feeling the warmth flooding the inside of her heart. Her hands were located on the brunette's neck, suddenly desperately grabbing him as the last line of life.
Xavier lifted her body up, and she wrapped her legs around him like a vine in response. But as their bodies fell onto the bed, their lips parted.
The teenagers took deep breaths as they looked at each other. Waiting for developments.
-You are hungry - he said unexpectedly when the girl tried to approach him - Take my blood.
Those words made her stop moving. Her body seemed to stiffen, only the next touch of the brunette slightly relaxed her.
-I won't do it, Xavier - she said, shaking her head -Feeding from a vein requires incredible control. One slip and I won't be able to turn back.
-I want you to do it. I want you to feel better - he said stubbornly, grabbing her neck with his hand - I trust you.
Y/n looked uncertainly into the boy's eyes, but found no hesitation or fear, only warmth.
Descending agonizingly slowly towards his pulse, she settled herself more comfortably on his lap, placing her hands on his shoulders before her lips touched his white, smooth neck. The teenager brushed his skin in every uncovered place, every now and then hooking on it with sharp fangs, causing Thorpe to shiver.
She stopped after a long moment, kissing the crook of his neck one last time before sinking her fangs into it.
Xavier grabbed her hips, squeezing them tightly as the vampire fed on him. Her mouth insistently sucked his skin, avoiding losing even a drop of red liquid.
Suddenly, her pelvis began to move back and forth, creating a small movement that was still felt by the boy, which made him moan softly, feeling the friction around his member. Y/n hearing his voice, moved her loins harder, more confident, and in response he began to direct the movements of her body, shamelessly leading them towards sweet bliss.
When the teenager broke away from the green-eyed boy neck, her loud moan was heard in the room, followed by many more. He, absorbing them like the greatest praise, only rewarded her by meeting her with his movements, after a while attacking her neck with hot and wet kisses that marked all the skin available to his eye.
The two continued in this dance until the overwhelming pleasure took over their bodies. The girl's womanhood trembled from the intensity of her orgasm, leaving behind a wet stain on Xavier's pants, which was dirty not only by Y/n herself but probably by himself as well.
Breathing heavily, he snuggled into the crook of her neck, stroking her shiny, thick locks.
They did not know how much time had passed, but the brunette shook himself only when the body above him began to move. The teenager straightened up to be able to look into his eyes before she bit her own wrist, drawing blood. Slowly sucking on her skin, she took enough substance into her mouth to then kiss Xavier, letting the liquid into his mouth, which closed the wound on his neck at a surprisingly fast pace.
-Was it good? - asked the brunette, staring at her face - Do you feel better?
Y/n smiled warmly, connecting their foreheads together.
-I feel better than great, if I'm honest - she confessed in a light tone of voice - And you, did it hurt a lot?
-No - he said - Nothing that I will not suffer for my girl - he added, smiling cunningly, and she laughed gently.
-I love you Xavier - girl confessed, snuggling into his chest, soothingly listening to his heartbeat.
The boy in response hugged her closer, putting his face to the top of her head, inhaling her scent, his hand gliding along her leg.
-And I love you Y/n - he whispered, brushing her jaw with his lips, which began to roam her body again that night.
And she allowed everything, becoming his favorite canvas.

hello!! i hope you’re doing well ☺️ i saw you were looking for xavier request and was thinking about pyrokinetic reader who accidentally burns xavier during their first kiss like on his arm or neck while grabbing him so they freak and avoid him till he confronts them and is like it’s whatever bc it’s worth it being with them and they find a way. maybe the end result is reader wearing oven mitts while being affectionate so they don’t accidentally burn him
love that burns - xavier thorpe
pairing: xavier thorpe x reader (anon didn't specifics gender, so the reader can be any gender! i will be using they/them pronouns and y/n!)
warnings: talks about pain/burns, friends to lovers, angst tbh, some kissing, like 1 curse word?
this is not edited
word count: 2.1K
summary: you catch feelings for xavier, but burn him with your powers when you kiss, causing you to avoid him to keep him safe.
═══ -ˋˏ *.·:·.⟐.·:·.* ˎˊ- ═══
When you first got your powers, you were five. Just what two parents want, a five year old that can not only control fire, but create it out of thin air. Your parents had a hard time helping you get the hang of things. Unlike you, they both controlled water. Your aunt was the only other one in the family who was pyrokinetic, but she had already passed away at the time your powers developed.
Immediately, your parents had to hire someone to train you, sort of like a tutor. You were catching the stove on fire just about every day, without even meaning to. If you felt any type of strong emotion, anger, fear, or even love, fire would come out of your hands. As a five your old, being emotionless is hard, nearly impossible.
As time went by, you got a hold of your powers. The fireplace wasn't exploding when you got angry, the stove wasn't igniting when you got excited, and your hands weren't lighting up whenever you cried. There was one aspect that you never seemed to be able to control, whenever you were in love. No, not the love to your parents or your friends, but to a lover. You couldn't even get near your first middle school crush without the fire alarm going off, it was embarrassing.
You and your parents had enough of the bullying you endured in a normie school, and the whispering that always seemed to linger behind you. They shipped you off sent you to Nevermore Academy.
You were the only pyrokinetic at Nevermore. It worried you, when you first arrived, but you were welcomed with open arms. Enid was your first best friend. She was always crazy energetic, and you loved that about her. It Enid lit things on fire every time she got excited, Nevermore would be nothing but ash. Ajax was also a great friend of yours. He was fascinated by your powers and begged you to use them to play pranks on people. You denied (most of the time) because you didn’t wanna get expelled.
Then there's Xavier. You first encountered Xavier when he was painting a mural at Nevermore. Enid and Ajax were showing you around. “Xavierrrr,” Ajax yelled across the quad in a sing-songy voice. “This is y/n, they just transferred here.” He said with a smile on his face. Xavier climbed down the ladder he was standing on and jumped off of the bottom step. When his feet hit the ground, he stumbled a little, causing the paintbrush in his hand to fly and hit you right in the chest, splattering paint all over your shirt, and then hitting the ground.
“Wow, I so am great at first impressions.” Xavier said, bending down to grab the paint brush, setting it on the latter behind him. “It’s no problem,” you said, looking down at the blue streaks on your cream colored shirt. “I don’t really like this shirt that much anyways.”
That was a lie, why would you wear a shirt you didn’t like to your first day at Nevermore?
Although you and Xavier started out weird, you two became inseparable. You say by him in most classes, you sat next to each other at the lunch table, you hung out in his art studio. He became the person you could tell just about anything.
In all honesty, you never really thought about him being more than just a friend. If you did, you quickly shoved those feelings away. It wasn’t until one day that you were sitting at a table on the quad with him. He was scribbling away on his sketch pad, but he had it hidden from you because he wanted it to be a surprise. “Oh come on just show me already!” You said, impatiently. Xavier looked at you and said nothing, he just smiled. He waved his hand in front of his sketchbook, still hiding it from you, until something started rising from it.
Then, it happen. Your hands started to burn, not light on fire, but they were hot enough to cause you to yelp and pull your hand from your face and shoot up from the table. You hid the palms of your hands from him. “What’s wrong?” Xavier questioned, standing up from the table as well. “I’ll be right back!” You said, turning from the table and sprinting away from the quad.
You ran up the stairs and took a left down the hallway. Your feet took you all the way to Enid’s room. You knew she was with Wednesday, a new transfer and her very new girlfriend, but you busted in the room without knocking, your eyes closed. “I am really sorry for busting in and I hope I wasn’t interrupted anything.” You said as fast as you could.
“You can open your eyes, Enid was just showing me how to cuddle. I am not sure how I feel about it yet.” Wednesday said, and you opened your eyes.
You had told your friends about your powers, all except the part you still to this day couldn’t control, the love aspect. You turned your palms around and showed Wednesday and Enid your reddened hands. “What happened?” questioned Enid, standing up from her bed. You then proceeded to tell her everything, how your hands have been burning and lighting on fire every time you had a crush, so you never even dated anyone. You hadn’t even had your first kiss because your powers scared you.
“Who were you with that caused you to be like this?” Wednesday questioned, but you went silent, looking down at your feet. Your cheeks turned red, not from an actual burn, but from blushing. “Xavier…” You whispered, and Enid started jumping up and down. “I knew it, I knew it, I knew it!” She said, her feet hitting the ground ever so loudly.
“Maybe you should tell him how you feel before this one combusts.” Wednesday said, pointing over to Enid who looked like she just won the lottery. “You have to Y/N, I am almost certain he feels the same way. Don’t ask me how I know.” She said, and you couldn’t help but feel giddy. You left Enid and Wednesday and ran towards the quad. You frowned when Xavier wasn’t there anymore, but you took off to his art shed, where you knew he’d be.
You knocked on the door, and it flung open super fast. Xavier, of course, was standing in the door way. “Can I come in?” You questioned, and he nodded. You stepped in his art studio, an oh so familiar place, and just like before, there were paintings scattered everywhere. There was one you hadn’t seen before sticking out from the rest.
It was you, with a flame coming from your hand, but not in a scary way, it was majestic. Xavier, almost embarrassed, tried to cover it up before you could get any closer. “Listen, Y/N, you weren’t really supposed to see that. I wanted it to give it to you when the time was right, when I could tell you how I really feel about you.” He said, the last few words trailing off into a whisper. “What we’re those last few words again?” You questioned, even though you knew exactly what he said.
Xavier shuffled his feet until he was standing right in front of you. You looked up at him, as he did tower over you a bit. “I want us to be more than friends and I’ve been terrified you don’t feel the same and it’s been—”
You cut Xavier off by giving him a small kiss on the lips. You quickly pulled away from him, unsure of how he would react. You looked him directly in the eyes, and he pulled you in for another kiss, wrapping his arms around your back. Your wrapped your arms around his neck, and before you could even think, your hands were on fire, burning Xavier’s neck. “Shit!” He yelled, causing you to stumble back from him.
You instantly began to panic. You didn’t even help him, or explain to him why you even burnt him, which you insanely regret. You pushed open to door to his art shed and ran. You ran as fast as your legs could take you, even though he was yelling your name. You stumbled into a tree, far enough from Xavier that he wouldn’t be able to catch up just yet if he was chasing after you. You leaned against the tree, sinking to the ground. Tears started rushing from your eyes.
You endured years of losing friends because of your powers, and because you were different. You could not let your powers hurt anyone else, even if it meant having to distance yourself from Xavier.
+++
For the next week, you were “sick” in your room from a terrible fever. That fever being you heating up your face with your hands, but no one had to know that. Enid, Wednesday, and Ajax had come to your door to drop anything from soup to notes from class off. Xavier hadn’t darkened your door one time, which made you think distancing yourself ruined your friendship even more.
You couldn’t stay in your room forever, but you sure didn’t wanna go outside and face Xavier. You felt horrible for what had happened, and you didn’t want to ruin Xavier’s life by burning him every time you touched. You stared at the ceiling, wishing there was something you could do.
Suddenly, your door busts open, and you froze. You sat up from your bed and your eyes met Xavier standing in your doorway. On the back of his neck is a big bandage, and your heart sank.
“Uhhh I’m sick Xavier, you shouldn’t be in here!” You said with panic in your voice, giving a few fake coughs in between your words. He rolled his eyes and marched towards your bed. He sat an array of objects beside you, and took a seat on your bed. “Do you want to explain what going on or should I since you seem to forget sometimes that I have visions?” He questioned.
You cheeks flushed with embarrassment. “So when I was younger, I used to catch things on fire and fire would come out of my hands for every little thing. Most of the time it would happen when I had extreme emotions of anger, sadness, excitement. I got the hang of controlling them all, every one of them except for love.” You said, letting your voice get quiet at the end.
Xavier turned towards you so that his whole body was facing you on the bed. “Y/N, I don’t want to just be your friend anymore. I want to go on dates with you, I want to hold your hand and kiss you in public, I wanna be able to paint and draw a million pictures of you with you knowing. I want you to be mine. I don’t care about the fire or getting burnt, because that is apart of you.” He said, and you kinda wanted to tear up.
He leaned forward to kiss you, but you hesitantly pulled away. “I don’t know how to stop it from happening.” You said, looking down at your hands.
That is when Xavier smiled and picked up all of the things he had brought in. They consisted of oven mitts, winter gloves, and leather gloves. You looked at him and giggled, but he was serious about you putting them on. He slipped the oven mitts onto your hands and then placed them on the back of his neck.
You leaned in and kissed him, a little harder then the first time you two had kissed. This was a different type of burn, there was passion between the two of you. His lips were soft, and you loved the feeling of them against yours. Xavier smiled into the kiss and you laughed when the two of you pulled away at the sight of oven mitts around his neck.
“So you’ve been having dreams about me?” You questioned. He pushed his hair out of his face and looked at you shyly. “Well yes, but not about this, I kind of lied about that to get you to talk. Enid spilled the details to me about the whole ‘hands catch on fire when you’re in love’ thing.” You let your forehead hit his shoulder. Of course Enid told him.
“Can we please go be way too affectionate in public now?” You asked, and the two of you were off.

Xavier Thorpe hated (Y/N) (Y/L/N). That wasn't news to anyone in Nevermore. He hated how smart she was and how she seemed to be friends with everyone around her. He got easily annoyed with her mere presence in the room. But tonight, something different sparkled inside him when he saw her leaving the room crying.
She had been excited for the Rave'N since they announced a date. She got even more excited when Harry McGowan invited her as his date. Enid dragged her and Wednesday for a shopping spree, where she found a beautiful baby blue dress. Everything was perfect, until Harry dumped her right after they arrived at the dance for one of Yoko's vampire friends.
(Y/N)'s golden and happy aura dissipated immediately after those words came out of Harry's mouth. She ran out of the room with tears in her eyes. She just didn't count that Xavier Thorpe was sitting alone at a table, watching the whole thing unfold in front of his eyes.
After a huge fight with his father, he decided he wasn't in the mood to invite someone to the dance as a date. Actually, he was only sitting there because Ajax would kill him if he didn't tag along. But when his best friend got occupied with his own date, Xavier was left sipping on virgin punch, that tasted more like cough syrup, on the dining table
So when (Y/N) ran across the room, something clicked inside Xavier's head. His chest got heavy and he immediately shot up from his seat and ran after her. She was crying alone in the corner, sitting on the floor close to the toilets.
He ducked in front of her, who now had her face between her knees, shielding it from anyone else to see her crying. But Xavier let a hand fly to her shoulder, making (Y/N) look up.
"Hey, are you okay?" His voice sounded softer than any of the other times he talked to her. Anyone could hear how worried Xavier was at that moment. (Y/N) looked up and found his piercing green eyes observing her with attention.
"No." She admitted, crying a little bit harder. "But I don't think you would like to hear about it. You can't stand me, after all."
"Come on, you're crying. I would never, ever, walk away from you like this." He said. "And I don't hate you, even if you don't believe it. Maybe you could try pretending I'm a friend to you."
(Y/N) stayed silent, looking at his face to decide what to do, until she nodded "Harry McGowan ditched me for one of Yoko's friends. Said she was hotter and that he didn't want to be my date anymore."
"What a fucking asshole, I'm gonna beat the shit out of him." Xavier's jaw clenched and he quickly shot up to go talk to Harry. But (Y/N) ran after him and held him by the elbow.
"No, Xavier! Please, it would be worse to end the night at Weems' office talking about what happened." She said and his eyes softened when he saw that she was crying harder now. (Y/N)'s eyeliner was smudged, almost ruining the soft, but pretty, makeup she was wearing.
"Do you have eyeliner with you?" He asked and she nodded, pointing to her purse. "Okay, let's go find a restroom."
Fortunately, the men's restroom was empty. Xavier took her by the hand and helped her sit on the sink to get a better vision of her face. He took a few paper wipes and started planning what he would do next.
"What are you doing?" She asked and he shushed her.
"Taking care of you." He said. "No pretty girl deserves to cry at the Rave'N."
"Suddenly I'm a pretty girl to you?" She asked. "You literally shouted how annoying I am for the whole school to hear countless of times. And now you're taking care of me?"
"I don't know, (Y/N)." He said, taking the paper to clean the smudge makeup spots on her face. "I saw you crying and I couldn't take it. I needed to see if you were okay."
(Y/N) could see how honest he was from up close. Xavier was concentrated on his job, fixing the makeup like the very detailed artist he is. So she simply decided to believe his words and let him do his job.
"You shouldn't cry, though. Harry's an idiot for thinking anyone else looks prettier than you tonight." He said. "He's just wrong."
"You think so?"
"Are you kidding me? Look at you." Xavier laughed. His pretty dimples showed on his face, making (Y/N) smile. "You look amazing, (Y/N)."
"Thank you." She said.
Now Xavier had her pen eyeliner in hands and asked her to close her eyes. Doing this was easier than he thought it would be. It's like paiting details on a canvas. Soon he was done and (Y/N) was back to how she looked when she first crossed the entrance.
"Where's your date?"
"Didn't invited anyone." He admitted. "I'm having a few problems with my dad and I wasn't in the mood for partying. Ajax dragged me here tonight."
"I'm so sorry." (Y/N) rested a hand on his shoulder and smiled sadly. "I'm here if you wanna talk."
"It's stupid. We're always arguing about his absence in my life. But he doesn't agree with me because he believes money is enough." (Y/N) saw his eyes brimming with tears and didn't hesitate in pulling him into a hug. Xavier was surprised at first, but easily melted into her touch.
"I think both of us needed this tonight." She whispered in his ear.
"I think we did." He replied, holding her a little tighter, afraid she would let go too soon. Xavier didn't know he needed someone to be there for him until that moment.
It's been a while since anyone hugged him. It felt so warm and nice, especially coming from (Y/N). So he rested his head above hers and sighed, trying to not fall into a heavier cry. This wasn't about him. He was there to comfort her.
"I'm sorry." He started, his head still comfortably resting above hers. "For being a dick with you all the time. You're not a bad person."
"It's okay, I was an idiot too." She said back, still holding him close to her. "You're not bad, either. Actually, I have to say thank you for comforting me tonight."
"It was nothing." He giggled during his crying. "No one deserves to miss the dance because of some stupid boy."
"Then dance with me." She leaned back and looked him in the eyes. (Y/N) wiped the tears from Xavier's face, making him smile. And so, he offered his hand to help her off the restroom's sink.
"It will be my pleasure." He pulled her back to the room where everyone was having a good time.
Of course, the duo walking into the room together brought a lot of attention to them. Most people were surprised to see them holding hands, not choking each other's throats. Xavier and (Y/N) danced to a lot of upbeat songs and some good classics through the night, making everything they went through that night disappear. But when a slow song started, things changed.
"I don't know how to slow dance." She admitted and Xavier's eyes softened.
"I'll teach you." He pulled her in, one hand resting on her hip and the other one holding hers. (Y/N) left her free hand on his shoulder, but still was very far away from him. "Come on, I don't bite."
Feeling her cheeks heat up, (Y/N) took a step forward and got closer to Xavier. He pulled her even closer a few seconds later, making it perfectly intimate.
"This is good." He whispered. "Now we just sway to the song. There's no secret recipe to slow dance.
"Okay." She smiled at him and started following his steps to the song. Xavier never felt so relaxed in his life and he didn't know why.
But when (Y/N) rested her face on his chest, he knew why he felt so relaxed. He was with her, after all. And suddenly, all the months filled with hatred and fights became clear to him: he only got annoyed because he liked her. Now that they let their guards down, it was easy to see it.
And oh, he was so close. Xavier could just lean down and kiss her right there. But he couldn't. He didn't want their kiss to be judged by everyone watching around. Not to mention that (Y/N) looked so peaceful with her eyes closed, swaying her body to the music.
"I thought my night was ruined, but you really turned it around, Xavi."
"Xavi?" He asked, a little surprised by the way she called him.
"It's a nickname, don't you like it?" She asked and he smiled.
"I do." He said. "It's just, I'm not used to it. But it's a cute nickname."
"Like the owner." She smiled up to him and Xavier could swear he would die right there. He just wanted to kiss her, but he didn't want to do it in a crowded room.
"Can I take you somewhere?"
She frowned in confusion, but trusted him to take her somewhere private. And they walked for a few minutes until reaching a small shed in the woods. (Y/N) knew it was his private art studio, but she had never stepped inside. It was like walking into Xavier's mind, one of the most different experiences in her life. They had their hands linked together, fingers laced and everything. He searched for some reaction on her face.
"This is my studio." He said. "I think that if we are being vulnerable tonight, this is the place where I am vulnerable all the time."
"Everything in here is amazing." She took a good look at some of his sketches pinned on the wall, admiring most of them.
"I have a drawing of you." He admitted. "Bigger than I'd like to admit."
Xavier uncovered a canvas and showed (Y/N) a big painting of her, focusing on her book at the library and scrunching her nose in concentration. He smiled to remember the day he sketched that, another bad afternoon she turned around just by existing.
"I was so fucking sad that day. I was pissed and wanted to be alone. But of course, my Miss Perfect was at the library." He said. "But you were just so concentrated in your book, looking beautiful as hell, and didn't even notice me in the room. So I just started drawing you in silence and it made me feel better."
"I look so beautiful in this one."
"You always do. I think that's your superpower." He giggled. "And it's my favorite painting here. I love everything about it."
"I think it just became my favorite too." She said with a big smile. "You never really hated me, did you?"
"I think it was just me failing on how to express my feelings." He said. "My communication only works through art."
"Well, if you're gonna continue drawing me, then you'll have to stop with the stupid fights over nothing." She poked his chest, teasing him with a pretty smirk.
"Never again, promise you." He extended his pinky and she took it with her own finger. "Thank you for the company tonight."
"No, thank you for consoling me tonight." (Y/N) said. "I really needed someone to take care of me at that moment and I'm glad it was you."
"Yeah, I'm glad too." He smiled. "You know, when I saw you crying, I just couldn't take it. I wanted to take care of you."
"You did, Xavi." She held his face between her hands and he glued his forehead to hers. "And I'll always remember this as the night you were there for me."
Xavier was paralyzed by her gaze, so he didn't talk for a few seconds until he said: "I really want to kiss you right now."
(Y/N) replied by pressing her lips to his in a gentle kiss. Xavier was mesmerized by how she tasted in his mouth, but easily grew fond of that new feeling. So he deepened the kiss by tugging her on the waist and pulling her closer to him. She parted her lips and he easily captured her tongue in a bolder move. She smiled into the kiss, but didn't stop it for a second. But after a long time slowly making out in the quiet night, Xavier had to pull away.
"God, you're so beautiful." He put a stray of her hair behind her ear and smiled wider.
"You said that like three times tonight."
"Just can't help myself." He joked, making her laugh. "Especially when you're out there serving looks in this amazing dress."
"Well, you're not far behind." (Y/N) fixed the bow he wrapped around his neck to substitute the usual tie. Xavier got to see every detail from her face by looking at her so close to him.
"Come on, I'll walk you back to your dorm." He extended a hand to her and she whined, hiding her face in the crook of his neck.
"Don't want tonight to end." She whispered and he hugged her tightly. "Can we stay here?"
"You have to sleep, beautiful." He pressed a kiss to the top of her head. "And I'll be here tomorrow. We can have breakfast together and we can hang around here. What do you think?"
"I think that would be great."
He captured her lips in one last kiss and softly dragged her out of the shed. Most students were getting back from the party at that time. Xavier and (Y/N) took their time on the walk back, arms linked and casual conversation making everything nicer.
When they got back to Ophelia Hall, Xavier was glad Thornhill was still at the party. So he got to take (Y/N) up to her room, where they shared a few more goodbye kisses when no one was around.
"Thank you for everything tonight." She fixed the collar of his shirt and smiled. "When everything turned to shit, you made it all perfect again."
"I had an amazing time with you." He admitted. "I'm glad we get to be friends after everything we went through."
"I think we skipped a few steps on this new friendship." She laughed and he tagged along before pecking her lips again.
"Don't really care right now." He said. "We can be friends that kiss each other."
"I can take it." She kissed him again until they heard someone coming in the hall.
"Hey, good night, beautiful." He kissed her forehead and smiled down at her. "I'll see you tomorrow for breakfast.
"Good night, Xavi." She returned his gesture with a kiss on the cheek. "Sleep tight."
"I'll be thinking of you." He shouted from the end of the hall, making (Y/N) giggled.
"Me too." She shouted back before entering her room again.

What about an Xavier head canon with a reader who loves crystals and she puts little crystals like rose quartz in his pockets or his room to show that he's hers
CUTE CUTE CUTE (and so me</3)
there’s no mistaking the fact that you adore xavier thorpe. you’d kiss the ground that boy walked on if he asked you to.
and the way that you express that adoration is one of his favourite things about you.
originally, it started out small. a rose quartz slipped into his blazer pocket before classes, one on his nightstand, another dropped into his bag as you sit next to him.
then it progressed. you tailored the crystals to his day to day needs. tiger’s eye for luck on a test, carnelian for confidence when he needs a boost. at this point, xavier can be tracked by the rattling of stones in his every pocket.
if another girl so much as glances in his direction, you’re quick to skip towards the tall boy and take his hand, pressing yet another crystal into his palm.
“you forgot this, xavi.”
“oh, thanks, baby.”
he knows what you’re up to as you latch yourself onto his arm, tucked under him as though you’ve been settled there forever; it’s not like you spend your time anyplace else. he’s more than happy facilitating your scare tactics towards the other girls; he’s yours.
he needs to have one of your stones close to relax, now. it grounds him, having a piece of you to cradle in the palm of his hand.
he still prefers it when you sneak into his dorm to spend the night, though. warm and soft, snuggled under his arm, in his bed and his clothes. you’re his every daydream rolled into one.
and when you sneak out of a morning, you leave a crystal in your place, tucked under his pillow safely for him to find<3

muse
summary | you noticed how xavier has been loosing motivation, so you give him something to paint
pairing | xavier thorpe x fem!reader
warning | fluff fluff fluff, mentions of paternal neglect
word count | 487
Knocking on the outside of his art studio, you hear Xavier stop whispering to himself before opening the door for you.
“What are you doing here?” It came out as more of a shocked surprise instead of malice, a small smile starting to linger on his lips. “I told you I’d be back.”
“You said you’d be back 45 minutes ago.” You let yourself in, frowning slightly, seeing the blank canvas sitting on the easel. Turning to look back at Xavier, seeing how he hadn’t changed and still in his uniform. “Have you not made anything yet?”
“No.” He shook his head, about to start his inner monologue once again. “I-I can’t seem to think of something, most of my art comes from my dreams or things I talk about with Kinbott but there’s been nothing lately.
You could see how his eyebrows were creased, his fingers were jittery. Xavier always told you art was something he could turn to back home before coming to Nevermore, it calmed him, helped him relax and kept him away from his father.
“What about me?” You offered.
“What?” He looked at you confused.
“Draw me.” You smiled, bringing your arms out to your side, “I’ll be your muse.”
Xavier pondered for a second, smiling softly, before starting to move some of his painting, moving his stool into the middle of the room. You watched as he started gathering his paints, taking your spot on the stool.
“So, is there a pose you’d like me to do?” You giggled, getting excited, always loving when Xavier drew you.
“No, you look perfect.” He whispered, smiling softly.
Sitting on the stool, you watched as painted on the canvas, seeing all the worries drain from his face, everytime he turned to look at you, he smiled at you, taking every part of you in his eyes before transferring it onto the canvas.
You never realized how long it would be, starting to get antsy and starting to move a bit.
“Don’t worry, I’m almost done.” You always loved how Xavier was present with you, watching over your mannerisms.
Being true to his word, Xavier sent down his paints, beckoning you over to him.
“Oh, Xavier, it’s beautiful.” You said in awe. He captured every essence in your body, he put thought and love in the painting, like he painted his love for you in it.
He was always bashful whenever you complimented his painting, dismissing them as if they were just stick figures.
Holding his hand out, with the move of his fingers, you saw how it came to life. You watched as your 2d self came to life, mimicking your movements, laughing in the picture, just like you always did.
“Did you find your calling again?” You asked.
“Yeah, you seem to bring out the best in me.” He smiled, grabbing your hand, pulling it up to his lips, kissing your knuckles softly.

cold hands, warm hearts
Xavier Thorpe x Reader
Summary: Xavier has been training in the snow, so you sneak out to keep him company.
Requested by anon
A/N: This story is part of my Christmas Special event. Xavier is a sweetheart. <3
Masterlist
There was a cold wind biting at your skin as you walked. You hugged your coat closer to yourself, taking big steps across Nevermore's gardens.
In the distance, you could already make out Xavier's silhouette in front of a huge tree, the way he carefully raised the bow and pulled his arm back just before letting the arrow go.
It hit just a few inches to the left of the bullseye and he had a small smile on his face when you reached him.
"Hey you," you greeted softly, coming to stand beside him.
The day was as grey as it gets, filled with clouds and not a single sight of sun rays, it looked like snow would start falling soon.
"Hey," Xavier dropped his bow and turned to you, soft surprise written all over his face for seeing you. He planted a kiss on your forehead; "what're you doing here?"
"Came to bring you inside," you grinned up at him, "it's getting too cold Xavi, you'll get sick if you stay out much longer."
He chuckled, glancing down at his feet and causing his hair to cover his reddening cheeks. He always felt some type of way when you cared for him.
"I have just a few more arrows left, I won't be long. I'll get inside in a bit," he promised.
"Alright," you stuffed your hands in your pockets, stepping a bit to the side to give him room.
Xavier glanced at you with the beginnings of a frown, and before he could inquire, you said; "I'm not going back without you, if you're staying, I'm staying."
With a lovesick smile, Xavier returned to his stance aligned with the target, muttering under his breath; "and you still wonder why I say I love you ten times a day."
You watched him train with a faint grin on your lips, feeling just about hypnotized by the way he moved.
He shot the last of his arrows by the time that a slight snowfall had started, tiny flakes falling from the sky and clinging to your hair and clothes.
"That's our cue to go, I think." Xavier stashed away his bow and walked up to you, both his hands instantly reaching out to tuck themselves under your coat.
You hissed at his cold palms, your shirt doing little to prevent the feeling from reaching your skin, "you're freezing," you muttered, winding your arms around his shoulders anyway.
"You're the one who insisted on staying," he pouted, his thumbs massaging your hips.
There were snowflakes already covering a big part of Xavier's long hair, a few landing on his flushed cheeks and nose, and a bold one falling right on the corner of his lips.
You nagged on your bottom lip before standing on your tippy toes, tugging on the lapel of his jacket as you reached up slowly to take away the little snowflake with a tender kiss.
Xavier squeezed you to him, turning his head to capture your lips properly in a chaste kiss before you could pull away.
"Yeah I did," you said, feeling the brush of his lips against yours as you spoke, "but now I'd love a warm bath and some cuddling in bed."
Your first answer was his lips on yours yet again, a peck all soft and intimate before Xavier said; "took the words right out of my mouth."

♡; RELATIONSHIP HEADCANONS
TYLER GALPIN (๑>◡<๑)
Oh, he feels the luckiest man on Earth.
He loves being the big spoon while sleeping, hiding his face in your hair, and hugging you from behind, with your hands tangled with his. I'm pretty sure that Tyler is really warm which is great for cold nights, and he'd always make sure that you were comfortable. Tyler also loves when in the middle of the night you turn around so he can hug you against his chest and pepper your face with kisses just to hear you hum in response and snuggle into his chest.
A lot of dates even when you were already dating. It wasn't always in a fancy restaurant (as fancy as his salary as a barista could afford). Most of the times it was him helping you to sneak out of Nevermore to take you to the movies, cooking you a nice dinner at his place (making sure his dad is working until late), to a spooky picnic at the Crackstone's Crypt, and to a drive-in cinema date that ended up in a lot of kisses and not watching the movie...
Always wakes up before you do and he makes the best breakfast. Your morning drink is always decorated with a heart. Sits with you at the table to watch you enjoy the food he made for you.
He always has a smile on his face when you are near, and his smile is the most beautiful in the world. His lips curve and his eyes shine, and even his cheeks hurts afterwards, but it's so cute because you literally don't have to do anything and he's smiling, giggling, smirking, grinning...
Tyler would open up about his mother to you. The topic came up during a fight with his father. You were waiting for him outside of his house and you didn't mean to listen to what they were saying, but they were basically screaming at each other. Then, Tyler said something about his mom and his dad said nothing else and left with a door slam. You couldn't help but ask Tyler if everything was okay and he just broke down in your arms.
Tyler asked to go with him to therapy, only if it was okay with you. Since he trusted you about his mother and felt heard and understood while doing it, he thought it'd be good to have you there so he could talk to Kinbott about it more openly.
Of course, you went with him and held his hand the whole time, squeezing it when his voice broke and he looked so close to tears. And after the session, Kinbott left you two alone until Tyler calmed down, and you knelt in front of him and told him how proud you were of him, how well he had done, and you hugged him, kissed his forehead and never let go of his hands.
Tyler loves it every time you visit him at work because he knows that the moment you step into the Weathervane, your hands are gonna be on his cheeks and you're gonna give him a lot of smooches. Before you arrive, he makes sure that your favorite drink is ready, with a nice temperature and of course with the drawing of a heart or with an 'ily' written. And it's so good to have you there because rude customers really get on his nerves, and just your presence really helps him.
Seeing him with his work uniform makes you feel some type of way. The brown shirt hugging his arms, the maroon apron, oh my god. And the way his hair is curlier than usual, and his arms flex when he carries the tray, and his smile when he talks to the customers, and how he bites his lips when he's focused on making the drawing on the coffee come out perfect... He has you on your knees.
Also, Tyler loves when it's closing time and you two are the only ones at the Weathervane. It always starts with some kisses in the middle of the cafe, with his hands on your hips and him sighing against your lips out of relief. A long day and your lips on his for more than a second was exactly what he needed. He always ends up closing the Weathervane later than he should
Then, the party moves behind the bar and turns into a truly make-out session with you sitting there, with your hands deep inside his hair, and Tyler in between your legs, with his roaming all over your body from your hips to your face. You were caught by his dad once who just hit the glass of the shop with his knuckles to get your attention and left shaking his head. You were caught by his dad once who just hit the glass of the shop with his knuckles to get your attention and left shaking his head.
You took care of his wounds when that monster scraped his chest. You almost fainted when you found him with his t-shirt ripped and grunting. You took off your scarf and applied pressure to his wounds while you asked him questions to check that he was okay.
Did you see his room in that scene in which Thing sneaks into it? It was a mess because my boy has no motivation to clean it up! But thankfully you are there to help him, so you'd play some music, bring some snacks to his place, and spend the afternoon sorting his clothes, throwing away Redbull cans and Hot Cheetos bags, etc.
Even though he was your boyfriend already, you could feel your cheeks burn when you saw him wearing that white suit for the Rave'N dance, and smiling at you as you went down the stairs.
XAVIER THORPE (〃ω〃)
Of course, you'd be his muse. He draws you all the time.
His lips are just so kissable. He just lost trying to get you a plushy at the Harvest Festival and he was disappointed because you told him how much you wanted that one, but you were so happy because Xavier tried for you, so you leaned towards him and planted a quick peck in the middle of his lips. His face lit up immediately.
He'd use his powers to give you flowers, to send you butterflies when you are out with your friends so you could know that he was thinking about you, and little birds that love to play with your hair.
Make-out sessions on his shack are pretty common. He loves having you around all the time but especially when he's painting. He just loves to hear you talking about anything while he does his thing, and when you say the slightest teasing thing to him, Xavier's hands are on you a second later.
Bringing you over the edge of the table you were sitting on and caressing your thighs before you could wrap your legs around him to pull him closer, and then his lips are on yours and your hands are deep inside his hair.
And when his hands cup your cheeks or wrap around your neck, you always end up dirty with the paint on them, but Xavier thinks it's really cute. He likes to paint your face with his watercolors: the sea, some clouds and the sun, birds, hearts. Literally, anything that allows him to do the things Xavier enjoys the most: drawing and and look at your face. He would finish his artwork on your skin by painting your lips with a bright shade of red and letting you kiss his face.
You sneaking into his shared dorm room to sleep with him, and Rowan panicking the next morning when he saw you in the same bed as his friend.
He prefers when you sleep on his chest, with his arms around you, your fingers drawing patterns there, and Xavier giving you a lot of forehead kisses. Listening to his heartbeat and his soft breathing as Xavier grabs your hand and rubs it until you both fall asleep.
Oh but fights with him are terrible because you can't stand anyone that disagrees with you and he needs to be right all the time, so there's no middle ground between you two.
Taking care of him at night when he started having those horrible nightmares and treating the scratches on his neck. You were by his side when he lost control of his powers and brought that monster he was painting to life. You had to jump from your seat and throw yourself on Xavier once you realized what was going on.
His hair is so messy all the time, he should be grateful that you're always there to fix it. You style it after he gets out of the shower but when he wakes up the next morning is all messy again. That's how he ends up most of the time with a bun which you love btw, but nothing compares to him with his long brown loose hair, or when he wears half of his hair in a bun and the other half loose under it.
Also, his hair is so sensitive. Every time your hands are in his hair doing literally anything, Xavier's eyes are rolling to the back of his head and he even has to bite his bottom lip to keep himself from moaning. And he would let you try different hairstyles on him. Braids are your favorite, but piggy tails and buns look as good on him.
He tried to teach you archery before you two were dating but you ended up being a flustered mess. He was so close to you, his chest against your back, his lips mumbling the instructions really close to your ear, and his hands on top of yours, fixing the way you were holding the bow and helping you to have a firm grip on it.
When you tried archery again after he asked you out, it ended up in an embarrassing mutual teasing of Xavier pushing your hair away from your neck and his words in your ear giving you goosebumps, and you making sure that there was no space left between your body and his behind you.
Fencing together is so fun because every duel you two have is filled with rivalry. When you're holding the foil everything is about winning him, and he couldn't enjoy it anymore because your rivalry is reciprocated by him. But your duels always end with the winner laughing at the loser and going to take off the other's mask to kiss their lips. All the people on the team enjoy your duels too until you two do that.

Half Awake (Xavier Thorpe x fem!reader)
Summary: Admittedly, being in detention was never on your to-do list, neither was your half awake rant about Xavier's hair. But everything always happens for a reason, right?
Warnings: Some swearing but that's about all I can think of. Let me know if I should add anything.
You're telepathic and telekinetic in this. (Very original, I know 😌😂)
-------------------------------------------
"'Don't worry,' you said. 'We won't get caught,' you said. Well, looks to me like we got caught, Xavier!" You said, throwing your hands up and gesturing around.
Xavier leant back in the uncomfortable chair he found himself forced to sit on, letting a sigh escape him. "I, clearly, didn't think that through."
"Yeah, no shit Sherlock Holmes." You let out a huff of frustration, leaning forward to lay your head on the table.
The two of you- more Xavier than you- didn't think you'd get caught. The two of you had snuck out of the school on more occasions than one, sneaking through an abandoned gate at the far end of the school where no one went anymore, and never once did you two get caught.
Not until today.
Xavier supposed that he should've listened when principal Weems said that there would be no going of campus until further notice. He just didn't think that she would go to the extremes of having guards covering every inch of the school.
"You seriously didn't expect Weems to go to that extremes? Are we thinking about the same principal here?" You asked unexpectedly, startling Xavier.
"Jeez, don't do that!" Xavier said, placing a hand over his chest dramatically.
"Consider it a small amount of payback for getting us in detention."
"How many times do I have to apologize? And besides, it's not like we're in jail!"
"We might as well be!"
"Stop being so dramatic," Xavier said, getting his notebook out of his bag to work on a sketch.
"Oh, I'm being dramatic?" You said, narrowing your eyes at him.
"Wait, how were you reading my mind in the first place?"
"The bracelet fell off when we were being escorted back into the school. I couldn't exactly say anything because Weems wouldn't let us speak, remember?"
The bracelet.
It's something that you gave to him a few months into your friendship. It gave him the ability to block you from reading his mind. He never really used it at first, but he's been using it a whole lot more recently.
However, you didn't dwell on it too much.
You could see how Xavier's face lost a bit of colour. He quickly shut his notebook and opted for doing something on his phone instead.
Deciding against reading Xavier's mind again, you leaned back in your chair, closing your eyes and thinking about how you got into this situation.
Flashback
"Are you sure about this, Xavier? Weems seemed serious when she said that the school would be on lockdown," you said, nervously following him towards the 'forgotten gate' that the two of you used to sneak out of the school on multiple occasions.
"Of course I'm sure. Stop worrying so much. This is a once in a lifetime experience. Ajax and Enid are gonna meet us there," he said.
The two of you successfully reached the gate, stopping only so that Xavier could pick up the backpack he hid there earlier.
He got his phone out of his pocket to let Ajax know that the two of you were on your way, until an amused smile graced his features.
"What's so funny?" You asked, confused.
He looked up at you. "Enid somehow convinced Wednesday to tag along."
"Oh," you said, suddenly feeling out of place. Jealousy seeped through you, replacing the happiness you felt earlier. It was no secret, to you at least, that Xavier had a crush on the Addams girl, even though she made it clear that she didn't reciprocate his feelings.
Although you never really said anything, you had feelings for Xavier. He was unlike any other guy you have ever met or been with and he always treated you like you were a princess. You thought that meant he might reciprocate your feelings, but since Wednesday came to Nevermore, you haven't been so sure.
"What's wrong?" Xavier asked upon seeing an unreadable look rest on your face. He reached to place a hand on your shoulder.
"Nothing. I just want to get this over with," you said, moving away from his touch.
This confused Xavier. During the entirety of your friendship with him you have always loved physical contact, no matter how mad you were at him. You never once denied his touch, yet there you were, moving away from him.
"Are you sure?" He asked awkwardly, not knowing what he did wrong.
Before you could respond, someone cleared their throat. "I thought that Principal Weems made it very clear that no one was to go of campus."
The two of you looked at the werewolf that Principal Weems probably hired to guard the school. The werewolf crossed their arms. "Come on. I'm pretty sure that Principal Weems would love to have a talk with you."
End of flashback
"Damn, how long do we have to endure this torture?" Xavier jokingly asked. Confusion dawned on him as he didn't get a response. You couldn't still be mad at him, could you?
He looked over at you, seeing you leaned back in your chair with your eyes closed, breathing evened out as you had fallen asleep. He took this moment to admire the peaceful look on your face.
He never could understand how someone as perfect as you would ever want to be associated with the likes of him. All he knew is that he thanked his lucky stars for your unlikely friendship, even though he wished you two could be more than that.
Everyone always asked him if the two of you were together, which he always had to deny. He hoped that one day he'd be able to say yes to that question, but in reality he knew that having your friendship was more important to him and he wouldn't risk it for the off chance that you would say yes to dating him.
A guy could always dream, however.
He sighed, deciding to work on his sketch again. Admittedly, it was a sketch of you. You once told him that you would love to be drawn by him, to see him capture all your imperfections although, to him, you didn't have any.
"I want you to draw me like one of your french girls," you had jokingly told him a few months ago. He had laughed it off, but that did put a blush on his face.
He looked up at the clock, sighing as he saw that the two of you still had two hours of detention left. Weems had told you that it was either five hours of detention or one hour every day for five days. You had decided on the five hour one, saying you'd rather get this over and done with in one day.
So, while everyone was out in the sun and Ajax, Enid and Wednesday were at the Imagine Dragons concert, the two of you were stuck in detention. Luckily without any supervision, because Weems said she trusted that you wouldn't try to escape, basically implying that there would be serious consequences if the two of you did.
For now, he'd let you sleep. It gave him time to finish his sketch for you.
-------------------------------------------
"Hey, wake up. It's almost time to go." A soft voice broke you from your slumber.
You looked up, confused at your surroundings, until the haze from your sleep cleared up a bit and you were reminded of where you were.
You don't even recall falling asleep, or when Xavier moved his seat right next to yours. The last thing you recall is Xavier saying something, and then the rest went black.
"What?" You asked, rubbing the sleep from your eyes. Next to you was Xavier, who gave you a small, loving smile.
"There's only ten minutes of detention left. I doubt Weems will notice if we leave a few minutes earlier," he said, laughing lightly as you groaned. "Come on, you can go right back to sleep once we get to your dorm."
You looked at him with one eye open, motioning something to him. He playfully raised his eyebrows.
"You want a piggyback ride?"
"Yes, please," you replied, voice more timid than usual.
Xavier's smile didn't falter. He gave you a silent nod, motioning for you to get on his back.
You hopped on his back and picked up your bags with your telekinesis, letting it float behind you as you two made your way to your dorm.
On your way there, Xavier noticed you softly playing with his hair, making tiny braids and then taking them out, restarting the process.
"You have amazing hair, you know that?" You said quietly, opting to lay your chin on his head.
Xavier chuckled lightly, a blush covering his cheeks. This wasn't the first time you've absentmindedly complimented him while in this stage. Being a telepath took it's toll on you, considering how your mind worked overtime. Because of this, it takes you longer than most to properly wake up, resulting in these compliments from you.
"You really think so?" He asked. You nodded.
"Yeah. I especially love when you have your hair down. Don't get me wrong, I love it when it's in a ponytail, I just think that..."
Xavier smiled the whole way to your dorm room, listening to you rant about his hair. He could listen to you all day if he could. You were the most adorable person to him, and these half awake rants of yours always made him smile.
"Here we are," he said, opening the door to your dorm. He closed the door behind him, moving over to your bed to put you down.
As he basically tucked you into bed, you said something he didn't expect. "Did you mean what you thought? Back in the detention room, I mean."
"What do you mean?" He inquired, sitting down on the bed. His heart raced as he thought of all the possible things you could've seen in his mind back there, but he tried to remain calm.
"That you liked me. That you wanted to date me but you didn't wanna risk our friendship?"
Xavier gulped. It was now or never. "Would it be a good thing if I did?"
You smiled, sitting up. "It would be the best thing ever, because I like you too."
Xavier smiled, slightly leaning in. "Enough to go on a date with me?"
"Even more than that."
You closed the remaining distance between the two of you, lips melding together perfectly. Xavier put his hands on the sides of your face, while yours went to the back of his neck.
It was the best thing you have ever experienced. All those times you imagined kissing him didn't come close to the actual feeling. His lips were incredibly soft and he kissed you in a slow, passionate way that made you feel as if you were on cloud nine.
Unfortunately, air was still an important thing. The two of you pulled away from each other, hands still where they were during the kiss. Blushes covered both of your faces.
"That was- wow."
You laughed. "It really was. I never knew you were such a good kisser, Xavier."
"I have a couple of secret talents that you don't know about," he joked.
You laughed at that. Just as you were about to pull him back in for another kiss, your roommate, Yoko, entered the room.
"So, Xavier, you still gonna tell me that the two of you aren't a thing?"
-------------------------------------------
This was my first time writing Xavier, so I'm so sorry if this sucked. I hope that some of you thought it was okay, though. Anyways, I hope you enjoyed and I'll see you beautiful people next time. Bye!

can i pls request something abt xavier and op who can see people's auras?? like shes new to nevermore and sees everyone's auras changing according to their humor but she just?? cant see xavier's and that bothers her, so she tries to get emotions from him, anger, happiness yk, then idk maybe they go to the raven together and at the end of the night when they finally kiss she can see a bright pink aura around him :]] or whatever way you feel like writing it (you can write reader as GN if you want as well!)
i don’t get it?
pairings: xavier thorpe x reader
summary: you saw everyone’s auras except xavier’s, who knew a kiss could change it
warnings: reader is an asshole, swearing, idk i think thats it
a/n: im sorry this was really shitty, i am more focused on school mostly rn, and this is NOT PROOFREAD, REBLOGS HELP A LOT!
nevermore.
at first you thought you were gonna be an ‘outcast’ at an outcast school, but you made a couple friends, enid, her aura was a bright yellow, probably because she’s always smiling and full of joy, and wednesday who had black, ‘cause she was so mysterious, and had strength. you could see all of your friend’s auras except for xavier, the guy you like, of course it has to be the guy you like.
you were at the quad with ajax, so you told him about it for some help, maybe he knows what to do.
“i just can’t see his aura! and, of course i have to have a crush on him, for god’s sake!” you whined
“maybe, try getting some emotions out, make him happy, sad, whatever” the gorgon said
“thats a great idea, ajax! i owe you for this one!” you say
“y/n- please, don’t go too far on him- hes kinda a sensitive kind of guy, okay?” he says worried
“i’ll try, i’ll make sure hes okay” you gave him a smile as you left the quad
“goodluck!” he screamed
you decided to make xavier happy, the easiest one first so you couldn’t cause any harm, so you decided to do one of his favorite things he does with you, the carnival. good thing it was a friday, so no school tomorrow which is perfect.
classes were finally over, so you could finally try to find xavier.
you ran to him when you saw him in one of the hallways, “xavier! hi! do you maybe wanna do something tonight?” you say
“sure! what do you think we should do?” he looked down at you
“wanna go to the carnival, maybe?” you smiled
“okay then, it’s settled! be there at 6:30 sharp, y/n” he gave you a big smile and patted your head
“see you there, xav!” you walked away and blushed because he patted your head, you kinda felt bad you were kinda forcing him to show emotions.
-
you were scrolling through social media while in bed, seeing your friend’s posts and enid’s new gossip about the school, until you checked the time, it was 5:24PM, so you decided to get ready for your plans with xavier.
you decided to wear pants with a chase atlantic shirt, and you brought a jacket just in case.
“oh my god! y/n, do u have a date?!” enid, your roommate squealed out of excitement
“it’s not a date, idiot, im just hanging out with xavier at a carnival” you say
“just admit it, it is kinda a date, y/n” she smiled
“well i guess- but it’s like a friends kind of date?” you say
“whatever you say, y/n” the werewolf gave you a wink
you rolled your eyes and looked at the time, 5:59PM and decided to text xavier
y/n: hey, is it ok if i come right now? im a bit too early
xavier: uh yeah sure, meet me by the ferris wheel
at the carnival
you walked up to xavier, “hi! what do you wanna do first?” you gave him a smile
“photobooth?” he questioned
“yes!”
you two walked in the photobooth, getting ready for the camera, you both did some funny poses and one where he was looking at you but you were too busy posing to even notice he was looking at you
you guys walked out and grabbed your photos, and saw that he was looking at you in one of the photos, you smiled.
“we look so cool!” you say
“wanna do balloon darts?” he asked
“okay!” you gave him a slight smile
-
you kept missing every dart and it was getting kind of annoying.
“idiot, let me help you” the blonde boy said and grabbed darts
he popped almost every one of the balloons and won a stuffed bear for you.
“thank you” you say.
it was the next day after u hung out with xavier, and you still didn’t see his aura that time. you sighed and saw ajax come up to you.
“anything yet?” he asked
“no, i tried making him happy by hanging out with him” you whined as you covered your face with your hands
“maybe you just need to kiss him” ajax teased
“shut up!” you whispered as you hit him lightly on the hand
“speak of the devil” he gave you a mischievous smirk and walked away when he saw xavier walking your way
“what-“ you got cut off by a tall boy behind you
“y/n! last night was fun, do you maybe wanna go to the weathervane today? we could study there, or i could go on my own?” he gave you a light smile
you wanted to say yes so bad, but you decided to make him jealous today, or mad.
“uh, sorry, no. i have a date with tyler today, maybe tomorrow?” you say nervously
his smile faded when he heard you say the last part, he didn’t really have a good relationship with tyler.
“right, have fun, y/n.” he says and walked away from you
did you go too far? you sighed.
but he mentioned about going to the cafe on his own, and tyler was there. so you decided to go there aswell to meet up with tyler.
at the weathervane
you saw xavier sitting in one of the booths and walked past him as you felt his eyes on you.
you rang the bell and waved to tyler and hugged him.
“hi tyler!” you say energetically
“hi, y/nn!” he says
you could see xavier fuming at your peripheral vision, perfect. but you still couldn’t feel his aura. you looked over to xavier’s booth and saw that he was gone. i guess it really affected him.
2 weeks later
it was 2 weeks after the whole weathervane thing, you didn’t really talk to xavier much because of his jealousy and if you were being honest, you kinda regretted getting xavier’s emotions out of him just so that you can see his aura.
tomorrow was the rave’n, so you and your friends went shopping for your outfits.
you already got yours, but you were missing one thing, a date. you wished xavier was your date right now. but it was not possible. so you just decided to go solo.
-
it was the next day and it was 7:30PM, the rave’n starts at 8 o’clock so you decided to dress up in your outfit already. you met up with your friends downstairs.
“lets go!” enid squealed
you all walked down the stairs and you could feel everyone staring at you, including xavier.
your friends decided to get drinks and dance. while you just sat there all alone. a slow, romantic song started playing. and everyone and their s/o started to slow dance. you sighed but felt a light tap on your shoulder.
“hey, wanna dance?” xavier gave you a smile and held his hand out.
you grabbed his hand and went to a corner, you placed your hands around his neck as he put his around your waist and you two swayed your hips to the music.
“i’m sorry, i only did the whole tyler shit so i could see your aura ‘cause i couldn’t see it, and also because i liked you.” you say
“you’re an idiot, you know that?” he says chuckling
“your idiot, of course” you smile
he cups your face and leans in to kiss you desperately and you kissed him back. you felt a bright pink aura from him, you smiled against the kiss.

Xavier Thorpe x Witch Reader
Request: „Hi! I was wondering if you could write a Xavier Thorpe x fem. reader where the reader is a new student at nevermore and sits next to Xavier in Mrs. Thornhills class and he tries to impress her with his powers (like in the scene where he made the spider come to life)‟
A/N: Request from anon. I changed one thing about the reader skills/ powers. It's not my best work but as always I hope you all still gonna like it.
English is not my native language so I am sorry for any mistakes.
She felt unwanted eyes on her, again.
However, despite the fact that the situation repeated itself since she set foot in a new school, each time she chose to ignore it. She knew who the irises following her every move belonged to anyway, so she quickened her pace to disappear from their radar, as she had done many times before.
When she found a secluded corner, she leaned against it, sighing. She'd only been here a week and she'd had enough.
Her father told her about possibilities and freedom, oh how easily she was outsmarted by him. Now she was stuck in a strange place, far from home, in a school for "people like her". However, she soon found out that this term was not entirely true.
Nevermore Academy was supposed to be something of a safe oasis for children who were extraordinary, in the worst sense of the word. But Y/n quickly noticed that the teenagers weren't much different from normal people, well, except for the hidden talents they'd inherited. Girl was one of them.
Being the ancestor of one of Salem's oldest witches had its advantages and disadvantages, although she saw more negatives than positives. That's why she hid her abilities.
-Y/n! - girl's voice called her.
The teenager closed her eyes, only to open them after a moment and turn around to look at the well-known blonde.
-Enid -replied the witch, tilting her head gently to the side, in a silent act announcing that she ,could continue.
-I was looking for you- she replied, smile did not come out of her face - Botany classes will start soon, and you are hiding.
Y/n sometimes wondered how a person could be so happy and carefree. But she was never able to come up with a satisfactory answer.
-Then it's better that they don't wait for us - she said with a slight, almost imperceptible smile, going with the werewolf to class.
Her steps, although slow, still led her to her goal at a much faster pace than she would like. Entering the great conservatory, without stopping, she went to the designated place.
Xavier was already sitting in his seat, lost in his notebook, sketching something Y/n couldn't see. Only when she sat next to him in the field of vision appeared the image of a black spider. Before the boy could see that she was looking his way, her head quickly turned to the desk, making it look like he was looking at her, not the other way around.
It might sound strange, even scary, but the brunette liked to look at her, especially when the teenager was so close to him. Every detail on her face was much clearer then. Her thick and long eyelashes, behind which beautiful irises were hidden, full lips or the flash of her thick hair, which seemed to be soft as silk from a distance. Xavier noticed all this, and day by day he became more and more addicted.
Before he knew it, he was smitten with her, and as if sensing it, she began to run away from him. Each step she took was further away from him, which meant that he was never able to catch her, or talk to her, even for a moment.
When Y/n's eyes finally rested on him, he responded by pushing the notebook towards her. Her brow furrowed in consternation, and he merely smiled at her, extending his hand to hover over the drawing. After a while, the animal came out of the paper, leaving only a gray halo behind. The arthropod moved a few steps. The witch did not let him out of her sight.
-I doubt Y/n will be impressed by your tricks, Mr. Thorpe - said Mrs. Thornhill unexpectedly, when she came to class.
-Admit that you're a little impressed - the green-eyed boy muttered.
The girl didn't answer for a long moment, too focused on the spider. Shivers involuntarily passed over her body and before she could've said something, the animated drawing burst into flames. Most of the students looked at her with a mixture of admiration and surprise, but she didn't care. Holding her hands, she occasionally ran her long fingernails over the rings to distract herself from the outside world.
Xavier cursed under his breath, he thought he would impress her, but all he did was make her hide even more.
It was nighttime when Y/n received an unexpected message.
With the end of class, she locked herself in her room, content to finally be able to breathe fully. Dressed and refreshed, she spent time on the floor, drowning in the books of witchcraft that she read several times before. The sound of music filled the room as well as the sound of her own voice as she hummed along with the band's lead singer.
Only a quiet but strong blow pulled her out of her bubble.
Standing up, she walked over to a large, tall window. At first glance, everything seemed normal, but when her eyes began to wander, a black cat appeared in the field of her vision, or rather its sketch.
The teenager sighed and opened the window. Curious about the explanations. There was a card in the animal's mouth and an invitation on the paper.
-Meet me at nine o'clock by the fountain - she recited, frowning slightly in thought ,knowing exactly who the sender was.
Thinking, she stared at the landscape outside the window, then she shifted her irises to the cat, who was still waiting, sitting on the windowsill. Involuntarily, she raised her hand and stroked his ear, as if hoping that it would feel something, even though it was only a drawing.
Before she could think carefully about her decision, her legs led her towards the exit. Right underneath the stone construction.
Xavier was already waiting for her. Her school uniform had been replaced with a long-sleeved black mid-thigh dress and leather boots. The boy didn't know what to think, it was the first time he saw the teenage witch in something else, in something close to her comfort zone.
-You really came - he remarked, not hiding the surprise in his voice.
-I really came - she replied, clasping her hands behind her - Your form of invitation was quite interesting. I was wondering if you matched the cat to my species or if it was just a coincidence.
-Yes...I mean no - brunette tangled up in words, pushing himself away from the fountain to approach Y/n - Your reaction to my previous drawing got me thinking. I preferred to create something that you should like this time.
-I'm just not a fan of small, crawling creatures. But I appreciate your gesture - she said honestly, which made Xavier smile.
-I'm glad to hear that - he replied, looking at the girl.
-What is the reason for your invitation? - she asked suddenly.
-I wanted to apologize. I guess you didn't want to show off your abilities - he remarked, scratching the back of his neck.
The gaze of the teenager, who was directed at the fountain near them, moved to the green-eyed boy.
-You have no reason to apologize - she announced -It was my instinct that worked the way it did - she added before taking a few steps back so she could turn freely and head back to the dorm.
-Wait! - Thorpe called her, grabbing her wrist, and she stopped, looking at him with furrowed brows -Would you like to go for a walk?- he asked with a trace of hope in his voice.
The girl shifted her gaze to the building behind her, then back to the tall teenager in front of her, who was awaiting for her response. Y/n nodded with a slight smile.
-I would love to - she said, nodding imperceptibly in confirmation.
The two of them moved forward. The witch put all her trust in the hands of Xavier, who led them to a place known only to him. Her heart was beating hard from the adrenaline, and surprisingly, she welcomed it. She hadn't had so much fun in a long time, even if it was just sneaking through school property.
Eventually they came to something that looked like a shed. Y/n involuntarily approached the body of her companion, looking curiously at the wooden building. When the brunette turned his head to check the girl's condition, he found her close to him, closer than he expected. Satisfied, he lowered his head to be level with her ear.
-This is my studio - he confessed, as if proud of this fact - I cleaned it, so Weems let me use it.
-We are alone - the girl noticed, approaching his face, which involuntarily covered with a blush - You don't have to whisper - she added, then moved away, walking towards the entrance.
Thorpe followed her with his eyes until she had disappeared through the door, then he moved on, quickening his pace so that the girl wouldn't wait. When he entered, Y/n looked around intrigued, but kept her hands to herself, watching from a distance.
-You have talent - she admitted after a long moment.
-Thanks - he said, following her like a shadow. -This is my safe space. Art makes me relax - he added, standing behind her as she paused at another of the many paintings.
-It must be nice to have your own sanctuary - the teenager said - I often dream of something like this, that wouldn't be my dorm room. Life at Nevermore can be...overwhelming - she confessed, rubbing her hands together in comfort.
-Really?- he asked, eager to hear more, happy to finally be able to talk to the object of his interest.
-Yhm- muttered the witch -That's quite an interesting paradox. An outcast feels like an outcast in a school for outcasts - she noticed, looking at him out of the corner of her eye, the boy made her feel surprisingly better, surprisingly calmer.
-You can always talk to me if you want - Xavier said, shrugging -I don't bite.
-I appreciate it - she replied, not sure what else to add.
When silence fell between the two, Y/n realized how close they were, how intimate the situation seemed, and the brunette slowly began to think the same, his green eyes not even for a moment stopping looking at the face in front of him.
Her eyes wandered over the boy's face, trying to find a starting point. Her slightly parted lips as well as the smell of lavender and gooseberry did not help Thorpe concentrate. Only the girl's frown woke him up from his trance.
Following her gaze, the teenager met an image, but not just any image. The canvas depicted a girl sitting on one of the stone benches, lost in thought, her face calm and her eyes distant. There was a sheet next to the easel, which must have been moved by a gust of wind when Y/n stepped inside.
-It's...me - she whispered in shock, walking towards her likeness.
-The first day, I couldn't forget you. So I started painting - he tried to explain, keeping his voice stoic -You surrounded yourself with this mysterious aura that drew me in even more. You were different from the rest...I talk nonsense - he muttered, closing his eyes.
The girl turned to face Xavier. Then , she unexpectedly put her hand around him, standing on her fingers to kiss the corner of his mouth.
-I quite like your nonsense - she confessed ,almost brushing his lips because of the closeness of their faces.
Xavier took her confession as a signal to action. Placing his hands on the witch's waist, he slowly brushed her lips, and seeing no objection, he did it again, and again, and again.
They said romance was dead and Y/n had to agree. But the electrifying touch of the boy's hand, the warmth of his lips, and the addictive scent that surrounded him, made her not disappointed by the death of romanticism. She preferred the version where she could’ve indulge her feelings without having to play cat and mouse.
And now that she had tasted the forbidden fruit, she was not going to stop.
Neither did he.
