Very interesting to find out that the X-men: The Last Stand plot of someone being able to cure mutations and Rogue wanting that cure was something already explored in the cartoon. Makes me wonder if that's a plot explored in the early comics, too.
There isn't much about the 1992 X-Men series that's aged well but I'm on episode 2 and so far my favorite bit of cringe is the bit where Jubilee's foster parents go "you will come to visit us, won't you?" and Jubilee's response is

Maddy and Ryan analyze "Tolerance Is Extinction Part 2," in which Magneto has some truly epic monologues, but a plan that makes no sense. What did Magneto do to planet Earth? Whatever it is, it's going to cause the world to end in 12 hours, we guess? We'll never know.
By the way, the rest of this episode is about fighting Bastion and Mr. Sinister, but that stuff doesn't make any sense either, which is a bit odd since those two were supposed to be the Big Bads this season.
