Inside no 9 - Series 6 painting studies ~

Next series!! We're now in the 2nd half of the show so not many individual paintings left to share!

OBVIOUSLY I was gonna paint the gay kiss from Wuthering Heist lol like who do you think I am!? I was kinda grateful for the Scaramouche mask since drawing people kissing can be really tricky but that covered a lot of their faces pfft

I really struggled getting the misty glow of the light in the Simon Says one tbh it's such an unassuming shot without the context of how insane that scene is lol

I was reluctant to include too many spoiler-y shots in this since there might be non-fans that will see my art and I don't wanna ruin the twists for them, but I honestly HAD to include the skeleton hand from Hurry Up And Wait lol (there are a few very spoiler-y shots coming up in later series too because, again, they were too iconic not to paint!)

I think I have already said this but Steve has a really fun face to paint lol! It's super easy for me to get an instant likeness of him (unlike SOME people) so the most difficult thing about the How Do You Plead one was figuring out how to get the lighting looking right...

Also it amuses me greatly that I essentially painted The Devil and Jesus right next to each other pfft...

Also also can I finally compare myself to the Renaissance artists now I've also painted Jesus? like yeah Da Vinci painted the last supper & whatever, but did he do a 55 painting series dedicated to a tv show he liked?! get on my fookin level m8!

I love NEGATIVE LITERATURE. I mean I love when literature is not romanticised or it’s not about how beautiful the nature is , I love it when it is not appreciating the little things, I love it when it is being cruel and unhinged, I love it when literature is not about love stories and lovers and I love it when it is not about good people, I love it when it is not about the stars or the moon or the galaxies but it is about death and how cruel it is, I love Wuthering Heights because I love how cruel Heathcliff was and how it is not a love story but rather it is about damnation and ruin of families and several lives. I love it when in Literature people kill each other cruelly and doesn’t feel any guilt or remorse, that is the true nature of human and I want it to be true and unhinged and I want the sky to be irritated by the stars because it doesn’t alway have to be beautiful and romantic.
