This might be incomprehensible to those who weren't deep in the rw/by discourse trenches, but whenever I'm watching a thing (usually an anime) and something terrible happens to a character while everyone else in the scene just stands around and doesn't help or do anything I think "if this was a scene in rw/by we'd be discoursing over it for 3 months"
