i get to start planning w the surgeon for my operations soon, in a few years ill have normal shaped legs and my knees wont bonk against each other anymore and my legs wont ache and spasm constantly
#rigormortisangel#yk for years i thought my knees rubbing together was like chub rub but bc im underweight/malnourished for many reasons i have a thigh gap#so naturally i thought it was just normal and then my doctor was like. no. im referring you to a charity#at first they thought arthritis then EDS and now ik i have a type of deformity#and also i might have EDS but thats an issue for a different time 🙏🙏#i lost my hypermobility in my left wrist though so im not entirely sure if i still meet criteria#chronic pain#chronically ill#chronic disability

Hey y’all! Weird question, when people talk about joint pain, is that like pain of the muscles around the joint, or pain in the joint itself? And how do you tell the difference?
Asking because multiple doctors keep asking about/assuming I have joint pain, and while I do have some stiffness and pain in joints sometimes I assumed it was the muscles around the joints, because my electrolytes are Very Wrong and it causes muscle issues
Oh wait extra question: when you get cold do the bones in your hands and feet ache and feel like they take forever to warm up? Because I thought that was just bad circulation (from my inability to electrolyte correctly) but now I’m not sure
#the person behind the yarn#medical mention#like. if bending my knee or putting weight on it hurts#but my IT band on the outside of my thigh is ridiculously cramped up#how do I tell muscle pain from joint pain?#I ask doctors but just get told ‘if it’s joint pain you’ll know’ which is supremely unhelpful#like. does the very sharp pain I get in my sternum when my ribs are trying to escape count?#does wrist pain count if it goes away when I crack my wrists???#(my doctors think I might have weird Rheumatoid Arthritis)#(not that RA is necessarily weird more that it’s been weirdly not super focused on my joints if that is the issue)#(like. less pain than they expected?)

I... actually had a good experience at the doctor's today??? Wtf??? That's literally never happened since I moved here.
#like i went in for a wrist problem got a quick examination and was told “hey if its not better in a week with rest and painkillers#self-refer to a hand doc and get a blood draw to check for arthritis'#like damn i didnt know you could do all that in 10 minutes#why is my self-prescribed exposure therapy to get over my hatred of going to the doctor's actually working

have pain radiating from all the joints in my arms for some reason. vaguely concerning. i'll blame it on the fast
#I think it's some kind of inflammation#Worries me a bit because I get pain in my wrists when I over exert them since forever#And every doctor has been like well it's not carpal tunnel. Could be arthritis or fibro. And left it at that bc it's not serious#Would suck if it is from that because they're incurable#It's rare that I get it in my whole arm like this though. It's usually localized to the wrist and elbow#I feel like an old man -_- Or like I have the flu or something
