I know that Triple H wants to drag out who Jey Uso will pick as his WM41 opponent for the drama, but right now, it has to be Gunther. Cody does not make sense for Jey. What I mean is:
1) If Jey goes with Cody after Gunther told him that he can’t beat him, then Jey’s ducking Gunther. Even if he beats Cody, he’s basically admitting that Gunther is the better man. That would overshadow his entire reign, which would not be a good start for him as a main eventer. I know the IWC has complained about how Jey already lost to Gunther, but that’s the selling point! We want to see this man overcome the odds! Lowkey, the possibility of Jey not choosing Gunther feels like when Cody Rhodes didn’t choose Roman Reigns as his opponent for WM40. It just didn’t feel right, especially since Cody was hyping up his rematch with Roman. Jey needs this rematch with Gunther, especially now that Gunther has mocked him.
2) WWE would be facing a creative nightmare if it’s Cody versus Jey. When you have two massively over babyfaces fighting each other, the crowd will not know who to root for. And if the crowd sides with one of them, the other is getting hurt in the process. If they root for Cody, then Jey is getting buried. If they root for Jey, then Cody will have to turn heel, or else become a hated babyface. While that might sound good for some people, there needs to be a lot more groundwork for a proper heel Cody, especially since he’s coming off a victory against a heel (Kevin Owens) and is now being targeted by a returning heel (Solo Sikoa).
3) Just to add on to point 2, Cody and Jey don’t exist in a vacuum. Whatever happens in their storylines will affect the entire roster. I’m just saying, it would be strange to have Cody turn heel for Jey’s sake when he’s still being booked against established heels. And if you want to build up Jey Uso as a main eventer, you’d be taking a MASSIVE risk by having him go against your company’s top babyface. Why even risk that when you can book him against the heel world champion?
4) Cody-Jey doesn’t make sense anyways. They don’t really have anything to build off of in terms of a rivalry outside of the championships. In fact, there’s more reasons for them to be friends than enemies. If you want the feud to come off as organic, there has to be something more. Gunther-Jey already has the seeds of a feud, there’s no reason to not continue that storyline.
5) Adding on to point 2, if you want to establish Jey as a main-eventer, it’d be a disservice to him if the crowd is forced to choose between him and his opponent. That kind of match - two over babyfaces going against each other - only really works if the wrestlers are equal in terms of reputation (example: Rock vs. Stone Cold). Cody is a veteran world champion, Jey is just getting there. It wouldn’t be fair to Jey at all.
6) Jey not choosing Gunther would also be a disservice to Gunther. I feel like the entire WWE fanbase is so focused on who will challenge Cody Rhodes for the belt that they’ve forgotten that WWE has two men’s world champions. It’s not just Jey who’d benefit from the Royal Rumble bump, Gunther would too.
7) So far, we have John Cena, CM Punk, and Drew McIntyre in Elimination Chamber. Let’s be for real, does anyone want these guys to face off against Gunther? The answer is probably no, they’re more than likely to go after Cody Rhodes. Since that’s the case, Jey HAS to pick Gunther.
8) Going back to my point about organic storytelling, besides Jey-Gunther making more sense as the narrative going into WM41, Cody has other opponents who make way more sense than Jey. Off the top of my head, you got John Cena (passing of the torch), CM Punk (this was already teased from their intense promo before the Rumble), Roman Reigns (rematch from last year), Seth Rollins (old issues), and even Drew McIntyre (following up on Drew hugging Cody in the ring). I’m just saying, why force a storyline with Jey, especially when Jey already has his own storylines that make more sense for him.

So I had this thought earlier today if they decided to do Roman vs Seth vs punk it makes sense. The shield was formed to protect punk. So doing this setup the story line more for Seth vs Roman to happen next year. It also gives newer fans time to be brought up to speed with when Seth and Roman don’t get along. Also it’s John finally wrestlemania so all eyes will be on that. Seth vs Roman needs to close out night 2 of mania because of the history it’s 12 years in the making. Also I would love for a certain lunatic to come back and be the guest referee for this match.

Alright, I got another fantasy booking scenario for WM41. This one will be similar to my previous post on this topic, with some slight tweaks. How about this:
1) Jey Uso
First scenario is that a rematch with Gunther is locked in. For the vibe of the storyline, it would be a David and Goliath scenario in which Jey really does believe he can put Gunther down.
Second scenario is that he feuds with Sami Zayn. Sami turns heel because he hates Cody Rhodes for nearly killing Kevin Owens and he feels betrayed by Jey Uso for eliminating him at Royal Rumble. So, Sami Zayn wins the Elimination Chamber match for the World Heavyweight Championship and Jey challenges Sami for the title.
Either scenario works. The Gunther matchup would make for a fun hero-overcomes-the-odds storyline. The Sami matchup would be for the angst and drama.
2) How I’d have CM Punk main event Wrestlemania and include the Cody-Cena passing of the torch match
CM Punk, against all odds, wins the Universal Championship at Elimination Chamber. This pisses off both Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns, leading to both men gunning for the #1 contender’s spot. When it’s clear that neither one is backing down, Triple H comes out and says that Punk will face both Roman and Seth in a triple threat.
Meanwhile, Cody uses his automatic rematch clause against Punk during an episode of Raw or Smackdown and loses. Now that he’s no longer champion, he falls into a deep depression. Even though he beat Kevin Owens, the feud left him feeling paranoid and traumatized since he feels like he can no longer trust his own friends. He’s completely broken and lost his fighting spirit.
That’s when John Cena confronts Cody Rhodes. Cena tells Rhodes that’s he’s supposed to be THE man. He’s the face of the company, the one that the kids look up to as their hero. Cena, in a moment of tough love, then says that Cody can’t be the face of the company if he’s gonna be like this. Cody tells Cena to back off and Cena says, “I put this company on my back for years and I’m not about to see it be dragged down by you.” Cena then tells Cody to prove his worth at Wrestlemania. If you want to be the face of the company, you gotta beat the previous face.
So, Cody fights Cena and wins. During the entire match, Cena is forcing Cody to step up and show him that he has what it takes to be the face of the company. Cody and Cena would then shake hands after the match ended and John raises Cody’s hand, thus metaphorically passing the torch to him. Cody would then leave the ring and let John Cena be cheered by the audience one last time.

The Queen is going to WrestleMania!!
It's her first time. Such a cool moment for a rookie! Lmao jk I mean we figured she'd probably win.
No Becky, Jade, No Legends (Beside Trish!) and of course, no Aj Lee. Which I figured that wasn't going to happen.
So, who will Charlotte go after? Rhea? Tiffany? Or maybe she has her eyes on the Women's United States Championship or the Women's Intercontinental Championship?
I put Chelsea and Lyra cause her you remember Charlotte's first Royal Rumble win she went after the NXT women's Championship. So, I don't think it's that far off she may pick Green or Valkyria.

Should championship holders change by Wrestlemania? 🏅
So many people complain because Roman took over as Universal Champion! ✨️
Who else accomplished his run? 👀
Thoughts? 💭

I hope we get this match at WrestleMania 41, since John Cena is going to retire in 2025. Sadly, I don’t see a title match happening but would love to see this match happen since these two never wrestled each other one on one at Wrestlemania before. Plus, it would be so nostalgic!!!

Some thoughts on this episode of Raw:
1) If John Cena wins Royal Rumble, then it’s John Cena vs. Cody Rhodes at Wrestlemania. Cena, the company’s face of the past, passes the torch to Rhodes, the company’s face of the present.
2) If CM Punk wins Royal Rumble, I have a feeling that Gunther drops the title to Seth Rollins. Punk vs. Rollins for the world title at Wrestlemania 41.
