The Ryan Murphy portrayal of the Menendez brothers is horrible. And it’s not even comparable to the actual things those Brothers went through. I cannot imagine going through that and then having someone recreate those traumatizing moments and then just villainize you. I would be so furious. Erik and Lyle Menendez were not monsters, like the title of the show suggests they are. They did what they had to do to survive, because in the end we all know their parents would have k!lled them or they would have k!lled themselves. That’s the cold hard truth and I guess people who don’t believe them don’t understand that. The show did not portray them nearly as close as it was in real life and it’s so disheartening to watch Ryan Murphy slander their names. I believe they deserve justice and I dearly hope that they get it during their retrial. Because they genuinely deserve to finally live free.

I don’t know why this main event is making me uncomfortable, but I’m leaning towards the reason being a mixture of seeing Roman and Cody on the same side and being worried for Cody Rhodes. 😬😬😬

I hope we get this match at WrestleMania 41, since John Cena is going to retire in 2025. Sadly, I don’t see a title match happening but would love to see this match happen since these two never wrestled each other one on one at Wrestlemania before. Plus, it would be so nostalgic!!!

main masterlist | series masterlist
“Mama, are we almost there yet?”
You smiled softly at your daughter, cuddling as close to her sister as the seatbelt in the back of the car will allow her.
“Almost, Liv,” you say gently.
“Okay then, Mama,” your daughter sighs, her head falling onto her sister's, where she is snoozing on Olive’s shoulder.
You smile at your twin girls, who had been so good for you while you drove from your old home in rural Texas, to join their father in San Diego, where he has been more permanently stationed after the success of the last mission he had been called back to Top Gun for. The girls adored their father and it has been a hard couple of months without him, for all three of you. You know it has been hard on Jake too. He acted happy for the girls on their frequent FaceTime sessions, but you’ve known Jake too long to not catch the sadness in his eyes as he read them a bedtime story and watched them fall asleep without being able to tuck them into their blankets, smooth their hair back from their faces and kiss them goodnight.
Which is why you had packed up the girls, and all your essentials three days before schedule, so you could finally reunite with your beloved husband. You have been in contact with the only one of your husband's fellow pilots you’ve met, his friend Javy (or Coyote to his team), who let you know that the whole squad was having a beach day today, which is where you are headed now.
You look around at the houses on either side of the street as you follow the GPS to the location Coyote sent you, somewhere called The Hard Deck. He had texted you that you could park your van in the lot, and then go through the bar (which isn’t open this early in the afternoon, he assured you) to get to the beach on the other side.
Passing under a row of palm trees, you pull into the parking lot of the small beachside bar you have heard so much about from your husband and turn into the open spot in between Jake’s truck and a shiny Bronco.
Putting your keys in your bag, you open your door and climb out, brushing your long skirt out as you make your way around the front of the car to open the door your girls are sleeping next too.
Opening it gently, you brush you fingers through Charlotte’s dark blonde hair, so similar to her daddy’s.
“Lottie, baby, it’s time to wake up, we’re here,” you whisper to her. She stirs a little, blinking bleary green eyes up at you as a tiny hand comes up to rub her face. The arm movement jostles Olive, who picks her head up and yawns.
“Come on, my loves, can you undo your seatbelts and stand next to Mama, so I can make sure you look so pretty to see Daddy again?”
With that question, the identical faces of the best gifts Jake has ever given you light up, as if remembering where they are and why they had been driving in the car for two days.
Within seconds, your twins are standing side by side, bobbing up and down on their toes in excitement as you check that their adorable little matching outfits have not been wrinkled too much by the car ride. Once you re-tie Charlotte’s hair bow, which had come undone in the car, you take each of your daughters hands in each of yours and lead them into the empty bar.
Passing through the doors that lead onto the sand, your girls gape at the sight of the ocean sparkling in the late afternoon sun.
“Mama,” Olive says, mouth hanging open, “it’s so big.”
“Yeah, baby, it goes on for miles and miles.”
“Mama, mama, mama, look!” Charlotte bounces in place next to you and squeezes the hand she’s holding onto. “I can see Daddy!”
You turn to look where she’s pointing and sure enough, a tiny ways down the beach, you spot your husband, throwing around a ball with another man in board shorts. The man throws his head back and laughs at something Jake says.
“Mama, can we go! Can we do the surprise now, please?” Olive asks, so sweetly that your heart melts a little bit as you nod at your daughter.
“Go knock him over with the biggest hug ever, girls!” You say as you start walking again, releasing their hands so that they can run ahead.
✯✯✯✯
“Nice try, Bradshaw,” Jake yells to his friend as Rooster throws a particularly hard ball, causing Jake to have to side step to catch it.
“One day man,” Rooster grins, “one day, I’ll get you.”
Jake is just about to come up with a witty retort when he hears something he thought he wasn’t going to hear for another couple of days.
“Daddy!”
“Daddy!”
Two little voices he knows better than anything. Jake whips around in disbelief, forgetting Rooster and the game of catch in an instant as he spots his little girls running towards him, dressed adorably in little matching outfits.
Jake takes a few steps towards his girls and then drops into the sand just in time for them to come crashing into him, arms going round his neck and bodies thumping into him with such force, he goes sprawling back in the sand with his babies on top of him. He holds them there for a few moments, relishing in the feeling of them in his arms again, their puffs of laughter tickling his neck.
After a few moments, he sits up effortlessly, still holding onto the two five year olds and sets them onto their feet. Pulling out of the hug just far enough to look at their faces, Jake’s right hand comes up to stroke Olive’s hair out of her eyes while his left stays firmly around Charlotte’s waist.
“What are you doing here, you two?”
“We come early, Daddy!” Olive says, her little hand coming up to touch Jake’s cheek.
“Mama said we should surprise you!” Charlotte says, her voice muffled from where she’s pressed her face into her father’s neck.
“Did she now?” Jake asks playfully, looking up just as a pair of legs he knows very well stop in front of him. He lets his eyes trail upwards until they meet yours and he swears, he doesn’t think there will ever be a time where he isn’t affected by that beautiful smile.
“Hi Darlin,” he grins, letting go of his babies for only a moment to get to his feet before putting his hands on their heads as they wrap themselves around a leg each.
“Hey Handsome,” you smirk back, and Jake can’t help but close the tiny distance between you to press a kiss to your lips.
He feels so content in this moment, all three of his girls are finally with him after too long (in his opinion) apart, that it’s a bit jarring when Rooster’s voice breaks through his little bubble of happiness.
“I’m sorry, what the fu….rick is going on here?”
Jake laughs against your lips before pressing one last final kiss to them before pulling away and turning to see the rest of his team, save Coyote, gaping at him.
“What does it look like, Bradshaw,” Jake smirks, as Rooster rubs his ribs where Phoenix evidently elbowed him to keep him from cursing in front of the two little girls still hanging onto their father.
“It looks,” Phoenix jumps in, trying to sound mad, but failing because of the shit eating grin on her face, “like you’ve been keeping secrets, Bagman.”
You’re intoxicating laugh has Jake turing back to you, a betrayed look in his eyes, an over exaggerated pout on his lips.
Baby?” He whines, purposefully making his bottom lip jut out and quiver slightly. You laugh again, leaning forward to kiss away his frown.
“Oh hush…..now, is your Daddy going to introduce us to the squad, or are we gonna have to report back to Grandma Seresin about his manners,” you say cheekily, leaning down to address the last part of your question to the twins. They both giggle and pull on Jake’s hands, while he stares down at his little family.
“Alright, no need to involve my mama,” he says, grinning, “who wants a ride over?”
Both of his daughters look up at him with matching grins, before Olive reaches up and starts shouting, “Sandwich, sandwich!”
“Oh alright!” Jake sighs dramatically, before taking her hands in both of his and swinging her up onto his back. Once he’s sure her little legs are locked around his waist tight enough that she won’t fall, he reaches down for Charlotte, and lifts her up to carry her on his chest.
With his daughters hanging off him like Koalas, and your hand in one of his, he leads you over to the little congregation of towels the gang had set up earlier that day.
Bob, Phoenix, Rooster, and Fanboy all rise to their feet from where they had been lounging, as Jake approaches with his family. Only Coyote remains on his towel, a fact which makes Jake smirk.
“Everyone, these are my girls,” Jake says, angling his body so that Olive is slightly visible, and Charlotte can see from where her head is back in his neck.
There’s a chorus of heys from the group and Jake feels one of Olive’s hands leave his neck, reaching up to wave at the pilots.
“This is my wife, Y/N Seresin, and these two beauties…..Can you say hi, and introduce yourself, sugar?” Jake asks Olive, bouncing a little so that she holds onto his neck again. She giggles lightly and Jake feels her nod against his shoulder.
“I’m Liv,” she says, “it’s very nice to meet you!”
She mispronounces her v’s slightly, but her greeting is so endearing that Jake witnesses all the pilots melt in front of him.
“And what about you, baby?” Jake asks Charlotte, angling his head so that he can see her face. She shakes her head slightly, her eyes so wide and innocent in her face.
“Are you sure, darlin?” Jake asks. His shy daughter just shakes her head, and turns her face, so that her face is hidden completely in her father’s neck.
“Okay….,” Jake murmurs to her, running his hand up and down her back in circles and turns to his group of pilots.
“This little one is Lottie,” he says.
“Coyote,” you say, taking the focus of the group off of your shy daughter as you call your friend, “are you gonna stay over there, or are you actually going to get up and and come say hello?”
“Ya know, I think I’m good where I am,” Coyote laughs from his seat, grinning.
“Uncle Javy!?” Olive asks, wriggling around in excitement.
“Yeah Livie!” Coyote grins, finally getting up from the ground and making his way over.
“Daddy, down please!” Olive chirps and Jake obligingly bends until his daughter can hop off his back.
The minute Olive is on the ground, she takes off running towards Coyote, and he leans down as she gets to him, and lifts her up, swinging her around in the air as her laughter explodes from her. After she's been swung around a few times, Coyote p uts her back in the sand and pulls you into a side hug.
✯✯✯✯
As the family reunites with each other, and some of the pilots go and begin chatting with Jake and his wife, Phoenix sidles up to Rooster and elbows him again.
"You good, Roos?"
The pilot turns his head to look at her, and she bursts out laughing.
"Oh come on, Bradley, is it really that shocking that Jake has a life outside of the navy?"
"Kind of!"
Phoenix goes to elbow her friend again, but he's ready this time, dodging out of the way as she goes for his ribs, the two pilots laughing as they join the rest of the group getting to know their newest members.

Shipwrecked
Prince Eric x reader
Summary: The embers of a long-awaited wish set the Prince’s ship ablaze, along with his lover’s memories of the beloved Caribbean island kingdom.
Word Count: 2k
Warnings: PURE FLUFF, friends to lovers, descriptions of injuries + blood, (memory loss) mentions of heartbreak, moments of sadness, rekindling the previous relationship while building a new one, casual flirting, and the way I am on my knees over Jonah's song.
A/N: I just saw the new Little Mermaid and it was INCREDIBLE!! I love how they changed Ariel and Eric’s relationship and it owns my heart. (Just pure love for Jonah Hauer-King and his portrayal of Prince Eric) Feedback is appreciated and enjoy!
Faint rays of morning sunlight peak throughout the vast layer of the grey overcast sky. Shining against the freshly painted canvas maps, the tip of your worn down pencil trails along the carefully designed lines. Pressing your fingertips to the paper, your digits become covered in graphite, hoping to spread the remainder of the writing material.
Sketching out the foundation of the ship’s current course, the sound of an abrupt commotion breaks your concentration, and echoes deeper into the Prime Minister’s private office. Setting down your pencil, you climb up the steep stairs and emerge onto the deck to see a small group of the older sailors leaning over the railing.
Reeling in their failed harpoon, the men hastily point toward the dark blue water, hoping to strike again. However, before you can stop them, the ship’s captain and your beloved friend Eric, swings down from his post by the rolled sails.
“What were you thinking?!” The young Prince questions, watching the harmless dolphin swim away.
“These are treacherous waters and this is a dangerous time. Tonight is the Coral Moon after all. The Sea-King only appears to call men to their deaths!” The old sailor explains as Eric throws the harpoon toward a stash of cargo.
“Is that what they say?” Eric asks, not wanting to believe the old man’s stories.
“Not even the strongest can resist a siren’s spell.” The sailor retorts through missing teeth.
“…Just an old lore.” Eric answers, snatching another harpoon from one of his men.
Suddenly, a frigid wave strikes the side of the ship, sending the men backwards until they reach the sound of your laughter.
“You’ve all gone mad! We’ve been out for seven weeks and the only sane person here besides Her Majesty is Grimsby and you all know it!” You joke, crossing your arms.
“Oh? So she’s declared we’ve all lost it then boys!” The old man mocks, pacing towards you on the wooden floor.
Adjusting his stance before you, the sailor stands tall in the open sun.
“I have, you’ve just a cranky old fish that’s been out of the tank for too long. The sun has gotten to your head.” You say, remaining strong.
“Careful lassie, you wouldn’t want to end up in those waters when the sirens call. I can assure you that chivalry will not save you then…” He threatens, earning a sudden shake from your core.
Before he can add any more fuel to the tale, Eric clasps the sailor’s shoulder in his hand.
“That’s enough. She’s had plenty for one morning.” Eric advises, then orders the man back to work.
Glancing back in your direction, Eric gives you his full attention, making sure that you didn’t believe the crazy folktale.
“You alright?” He softly asks, covering you with his shadow.
“I’m okay. It’s just old lore made for children, that’s all.” You reply with a smile, leaning against the railing.
Nodding, Eric removes a dark blue scarf from around his neck and wraps it around your own. Carefully tying the knot around the nape of your neck, his bright blue eyes never stray from your face.
Studying the formed crinkle between his furrowed brows made your heart flutter with a flurry of fast-paced beats. Finishing the knot, Eric takes your shoulders in his hands.
“Let me know if they bother you again, alright? I’ll throw them overboard faster than you can blink.” He says with your e/c eyes locking onto his own.
“Alright, I will. They’re just tired of the sea. We’ll be home soon.” You assure the young man who nods at returning home.
Returning to the middle of the deck, Eric gazes up at the now lowered untied main course sail.
“The crosswinds kicked up the mainsail.” Eric announces before making his way towards the bow.
“That’s the Sea-King’s doing!” A young sailor shouts, who you shut down within seconds with a semi-cruel glare.
Fixing the sail in peace, the remainder of the voyage goes on without a hitch, and you continue your mapmaking until the sun goes down below the waves. The bright pink Coral Moon sits high in the dark starry night sky, illuminating the seas with its dull hue, allowing a day of hard work to a happy birthday celebration.
Sipping your second and a half mug of ale, you twirl and join the other sailors in lifting Eric in the air to wish him a happy birthday. However, the festivities don’t last long as a sudden storm changes the course of the calm waters. Rushing to bring the ship to safety, the large royal vessel crashes into a jutting cliff of rocks, causing the whole crew to obey Eric’s orders and abandon ship.
Watching Eric dive overboard after Grimsby, you prepare to follow him when the sound of Max’s frequent barks fills your ears. Rushing to the upper portion of the deck, you outstretch your arms, assuring the faithful pup to trust you. Leaping into your arms, Max licks your soaked face, grateful for your efforts, and you gently drop him in the rough water below. Making sure the sheepdog reaches the lifeboats, Eric gazes up in your direction with a terrified expression, silently begging you to jump to him.
Unfortunately, you’re too late, as the flooring gives out from beneath you, causing you to lose your balance. Falling backwards, you slide down to the cold water with a hard impact. Sinking down in the dark depths, the man who serves as your cherished Prince grabs onto your form, guiding you to the shore.
*****
“And you’re finally real, here beside me,
…Alone, just you and me.
And I hope you’re there in the open air,
There’s no map or compass to guide me, no.”
Squinting your eyes open, the man’s beautiful lullaby stirs you from your unconscious state. The harsh sun’s rays shine against your dry and parched face, the shape of Eric’s face fills your eyes.
But you don’t recognize him. Or the melody he wrote just for you.
Your brows scrunch as your head aches from a small wound on your forehead. Reaching up to touch it, Eric takes your hand in his, hoping you won’t infect the open scar. But this isn’t what you expected, so in retaliation, you quickly sit up and crawl away from the unknown man at your side.
Sitting on his knees, Eric looks at you in a state of shock like no other. He cannot believe that his most trusted friend, someone he considered a loyal lover, is cowering from him in fear.
“Who are you?!” You frantically ask, sinking to your elbows on the hot sand.
“Y/N, it’s me. It’s Eric.” He tries to reassure you, placing his hand on his chest.
Shaking your head, the sight of seeing Grimsby descend from the mountain and onto the shore brings a rising feeling of salvation in your chest upon seeing his familiar face. Rising from your place in the sand, Grimsby offers his hand to you, to which you reject.
“Y/N, what’s wrong my dear?” He innocently asks.
“She… She’s lost her memory, Grims. I am nothing but a stranger to her.” Eric announces with tears pouring down his face.
*****
The image of your shocked face continued to live in Eric’s mind for the next few weeks, haunting the young man, removing the compassionate facade he once had. He no longer smiled or laughed for anyone. He refused to eat with anyone and remained in his private collection room, banishing anyone who came to the door.
Eric drowned himself in the objects that once gave him joy. From the jade little mermaid he discovered in the tide pools when he was a child to the golden compass-like ball you traded nearly all your money for, nothing was working. Once the fear slowly started to dissipate, Eric tried his best to help you regain your memory by reminding you of your shared adventures, your love from the constellations, and he even cooked your favorite meal consisting of spicy coconut broth, bean sprouts, and soft eggs. But nothing worked.
As the remnants of the Coral Moon began to slowly fade away, the only spark of hope was that of the Prime Minister who had one final trick up his sleeve.
Visiting Eric in his study, the young man was slumped over his desk in a saddened state. Placing a fresh glass of water on the hardwood table, Eric broke away from his jumbled maps and papers stained with spilled ink.
“Yes, Grimsby?” Eric asked with a lump rising in his throat.
“Sire, surely you’ve spent enough time in this room? Why don’t you take a walk, stretch your legs?” Grimsby advised, prompting Eric to sit up.
“What’s the point, Grimsby? Nothing will help, I’ve tried. Not even the salty air can revive the heaviness in my lungs.” Eric replies, wiping the soft stubble around his face.
“Well, what if you had the right person?” Grimsby hints, trying to lift the room’s spirits.
“With who? Y/N looks at me as a passing stranger. All of our memories, our moments…are gone. How am I supposed to rebuild the relationship we’ve lost?” Eric questions, finally standing from his desk.
“If you don’t, Eric, then you will lose Y/N forever. Even though you might not see it, she is recovering. Y/N remembered that it was your birthday and that this very room exists!” Grimsby explains, trying his best not to shout.
“She what?” Eric asks, snapping from his depressive moment.
“She did, and that you both first bonded over the stars and the constellations they created. In fact, she mentioned taking a rowboat to the lagoon. If you go now, you can–” Grimbsy explains, but is cut off by Eric practically sprinting out of the room.
“..catch her.” He finishes with a wide smile.
*****
Rushing down to the lagoon, Eric ran for his life, hoping to catch you. Arriving at the small beach in no time, he catches his breath once you appear in the moonlight loading the small rowboat with a bag of previsions.
“Y/N!” He calls out, hoping to help.
“Oh, hello Your Majesty. How are you feeling?” You respond, placing your bag in the boat.
“I’m better now. May I join you on your adventures this evening?” Eric asks with a shy smile.
“Of course. I’d love that.” You reply with an exciting smile.
Taking over the oars, Eric guides the tiny rowboat behind the lagoon’s waterfall before taking you to the wide lake to view the clear sky. Gasping at the thousands of stars, you can barely keep still, trying to see every single little light. Bringing the boat to a stop, you and Eric hesitantly lay down next to each other.
Drifting along the middle of the lagoon, your features fill with pure joy at the sight of the sky full of bright stars. Seeing this allows the thin layer of fog in your mind to clear, revealing the faint memory of Eric teaching you the Zodiac signs and their mythical meanings for sailors.
“Sailors use the stars to navigate through the vast seas. But they’re also a way to grow closer to the ones you love.”
Instantly, like a strong wave striking the side of a ship, your lost memories return faster than your heart can beat, and you remember everything. From Eric’s party, to the storm that caused the fire, and the bright colors of the fireworks ignited late in the night. Catching your breath, you turn to Eric in great relief.
“You said the constellations match us with those we love. I know that is true, Eric. As is my love for you.” You confess, turning to him.
A sudden rush of pure joy overtakes Eric’s body as he scoops you in his arms, burying his face in neck, sobbing in relief at your return to him. Running your fingers through his dark locks, he hovers above you, his grasp gentle around your frame. Nudging his nose with your own, he carefully leans closer, pressing his lips to yours, finally sharing the kiss he’d never thought would happen.

slipping away | b.b.
summary: and now, he’s not your bucky anymore.
WARNINGS: ANGST, hospital talk, swearing, vomitting, pairing: amnesiac modern!bucky x reader word count: 5.3k
a/n: a small study on a long-term relationship and the strains and disagreements that come into it. it’s been a hot sec since i’ve posted any marvel stuff. still tryna get back into writing for bucky, but this is written for @mushyjellybeans. prompt is bolded :)
“I don’t think this is something we should be arguing about,” you mutter, throwing your phone down into your bag as Bucky’s grip on the wheel only intensifies. You slide your bag down by your feet, stretching your legs against the red carpet of his newly refurbished Mustang. If there’s one thing you haven’t argued about yet, it’s the renovated ‘87 Mustang Bucky’s done over with his father, not completely done yet, but still, it looks hell of a lot better than it did before. “It shouldn’t have been made an issue tonight, of all nights.”
“You wanted to make it an issue.”
“Because all you ever want to do is fight!”
