pov trying to get make into doing games/working on a game

and trying to learn wolf rpg editor but... you dont understand spanish and theres only 1 english youtube tutorial that only has 4-5 videos on one channel that hasn't been updated in years- PLUS... there is a wix tutorial/manual, but it also hasn't been updated in years.

up shit creek without a paddle- lmao

on the plus side I did discover a good program I could use to help atleast get spriting for games i do on wolf rpg editor done and like- trying not to be too ambitious because thats one thing you don't do when you make games.

actually might make a sideblog for doing the gamedev stuff- if I do i'll make sure to link it in a reblog of this post-

Loving this games

I recently finished playing 2 games that I liked a lot. They are quite short so it didn't take too long to finish them 100%, but I really enjoyed the time I was playing. Alicemare

The first one is Alicemare, the story is short but I loved all the characters, even though my favourite ones are Stella and Chelsy <3.

LiEat

The second game I finished is one that is from the developer, and I absolutely loved it. I loved all the characters, their relationships, and how in every part of the game you have different outfits, and the design of every one of them is super cute and cool. I also like a lot that you buy the whole game with everything; you don't have to buy part for part.

Btw I completed the two games 100% :3

Anywhere to go for WOLF RPG Editor help?

I've been trying to use wolf rpg editor, but all the documentation and forums are in Japanese. Wolf RPG editor is more suited to my needs than RPG maker, but there's so little english language documentation that it's hard to get solutions to some basic problems.

The manual has been translated, but i'm not really technically minded enough to figure out the system without picking apart examples for parts. So far I've just been emailing the translator but I don't think emailing one guy whenever I hit a snag is sustainable.

FIGURING OUT WOLF RPG EDITOR PARTTTT UHHH 3?

ANYWAYS SO I JUST WAS TESTING OUT A RANDOM SPRITE I MADE IN A SPRITE CREATOR AND HELP??

So I found out you can actually go into game settings as well and change the sprites from 8 directional into 4 directional sprites!

but it also fucks up your other sprites lol.

Along with this if you change your tileset size to 40x40 instead of 16x16 it will fuck up your map and it WILL make you unable to testplay the game, so you cannot be doing that if you used the normal 16x16 originally- this is also probably due to the map size as well, so theres that!

Misao deserved better, also yall should play it I genuinely find it so heartbreaking but the dev genuinely understood their characters.

No one was just straight evil, selfish sure, but with that, Misao needed to move beyond them. That isn't to say I didn't enjoy each character's suffering (ex. Misao & Ayaka).

And in the end, I am glad to see that Mr. Sohta did have empathy to an extent, he wasn't redeemable by any means

But it wasn't for nothing. The cat he tried to save got another chance in his place.
