I just watched Withnail and I !!

Best movie ever 10/10

I remember watching this scene when I was down in Norfolk with my brother and my uncle. And my uncle doesn’t like swearing or profanity in general. It’s not his style of humour. And he was also middle aged at that point. But my brother and I were in our teens, and we swear on a daily basis. We were just conditioned that way. And at this scene we were both in hysterics whilst my uncle was silent. Couldn’t help it. It’s one of the funniest moments in cinema I can think of. And I still laugh every time I watch it.

thinking about this post again and wondering if withnail and marwood ever worked that out? Did they end up at the pub one night and realised the clientele were completely different? Did they end up regularly going there out of curiosity and stumble on a drag act and think about doing one themselves in order to get a bit more money and performance practice? Did Withnail ever get drunk and kiss a random guy there and Marwood got irrationally angry but didn’t realise until afterwards it wasn’t because Withnail was kissing a guy but because Withnail wasn’t kissing him
