Why did they do that tho

Every once in a while I think about how in the books, Geralt does anything and everything for his Dandelion, and goes murdercrazy when Dandelion is threatened/captured, and Geralt loves and looks after his Dandelion at every point And the netflix show made Geralt hate him, ignore him, and barely acknowledge his pain after getting TORTURED I just- YOU DON'T NEED TO BE AN ASSHOLE TO YOUR FRIENDS TO BE A 'BADASS HERO'!

In my heart they are happy and in love and geralt's not a cunt <3 I am a okay with the the half of the fandom that is firm on them just being friends, hell yeah they're friends! Amazing ones, at that! But you know who we all hate? The people who agree with TWN!Geralt's treatment of his bard... For shame... For shame....

i find it interesting how he likes to keep up the fire (doesn't need it to keep warm or to see, and actually should be instinctually disliking of it). as well as to start his own (he may have had to start that fire to send geralt and cahir a friendly signal... but he didn't have to catch, fillet, spit, and roast the trout? unless it's a similar thing like with how they regrouped with zoltan's company, as good smells make a fire friendly). but yeah nothing was forcing him to do this, he just... did this

Okay, so this is less of a favourite thing about her character as a whole, (especially across the various source material,) and more of a game-specific canon detail that I love.

There’s a scene at Kaer Morhen in The Witcher 3 when Ciri reunites with Geralt and Yen, and her reaction to seeing Ciri is probably up there as one of my favourite positive interactions in the game. It’s so brief, but you can hear the excitement and the joy in her voice when she calls Ciri’s name and it’s one of those moments that just sticks out so clearly in my mind.

I was thinking about The Witcher AU and now I can't get the image of bard!MJ out of my head. Every witcher needs a bard to write hero ballads about him, right?

I was thinking of making her a sorceress but a bard is so much better imo. MJ and Peter's dynamic would be so much fun with Peter being emotionally constipated like any other witcher and trying to figure out how to deal with a bard (but ofc he wouldn't act like twn Geralt, I think he'd just be v awkward around her) I can also see Peter being genuinely interested in helping with MJ's ballads, like, he appreciates the arts and wants to learn about them.
