LoTR will sadly have to be omitted, I’ve only read a couple in the last seven years. I got really into The Hobbit for a second, but I liked the more light-hearted stuff and ran out pretty quickly T-T

For the totally uninitiated, I recommend I Will Be Chasing a Starlight- it’s an au with a Star Trek backdrop so you don’t need context

TGCF: Thousand Gold Come-and-Go Stew, No Paths Are Bound, A Mighty Ocean or a Gentle Kiss, No Water is Enough, Nacreous, Even Across a Thousand Miles

For the totally uninitiated, I recommend Thousand Gold Come-and-Go Stew- it’s a post epilogue au with an amnesia element and limited cast, so you should follow along fine

The Magnus Archives: Forgive Us Our Tresspasses, Look No Further, The Least He Could Do, Nature Has Taught Her Creatures to Hate

For the totally uninitiated, I recommend Nature Has Taught Her Children to Hate- it’s a retelling overhaul so you’re reintroduced to these characters

SVSSS in particular has a lot of funny 1-2 ch scenario fics so I fully recommend checking that archive out for yourself and rifling around- those are just the ones I consider the best of the best. The Untamed has a tonnn of long-form dramas which aren’t my favorites, but clearly well done if you like those more.

And TGCF and TMA are kind of the odd children- high highs, low lows.

Between Burrows End brining Aabria back in to the dome for a longer season (fuck yeah) and the much wished for return of Fantasy High (hoot fuckin growl baby) we are BLESSED this autumn/winter, the pantry is FULL to get us through the cold months and I could not be happier.

My migraine is already going away a bit, I turned off my headphones, even tho I was listening to The Summoning as a little, 'its been one year since i heard you' celebration, but I can do that later too.

I would link it, but its not posted yet🙇, I'm waiting till it's done before I post it, cause I have discovered through trial and error that that is best for me (*looks sadly at my now mostly abandoned Dune fic that I will finish one of these days but I don't know when it'll be.*)

I don't even know if I'm half way done with it even, I don't even know if I'm gonna post it as chapters? or post it as a really long one shot (but from what I hear, it's best to do it as chapters cause if you get passed 50k you can't edit it after posting, oof. I always forget tags). I think if i do, do chapters, I just finished the first one, haha. It's like, a dream come true though? cause SamTron/SamRinzler is one of my longest running ships (I'd go as far to call it my rare pair otp, haha) and Tron: Legacy is my favorite movie of all time, and I've wanted to write a long as fuck fic for them for years and years and years, so now that I'm finally doing it!!! Ugh. I'm just. so giddy about it, and I hope I am getting their characters right (even tho I've watched the movie about 50 times at this point and have the freaking.... script memorized at this point.) And!!! Yeah.... I'm so happy about it... I'm also being so so self indulgent with it (for me this means adding in little details that don't really matter, like the fact that Sam keeps body armor drinks in his fridge instead of like Gatorade, or that Quorra is a picky eater now that she can, ya know, actually taste things besides Energy on the Grid...... I am uhh, assuming you've watched Tron/Tron: Legacy Cass, if not its a-ok, I just realized some of this makes no since haha.) I am just.... really getting into it?

I'm also trying to keep the main plot under covers until I post it, cause I feel like the anticipation of keeping it sceret will motivate me to beign able to finish it!

Summary:

Of course Harry had known that Malfoy’d been sent to Azkaban, but, to be honest, since the trials Harry hadn’t really thought of the git at all anymore. A random visit to Slug and Jiggers was about to drastically change that, though. And whose exactly were those letters that Harry found there?

Excerpt:

It had taken them quite some time to get to Harry’s house, even though Harry insisted it was actually rather close by. They’d had to walk, because neither Draco nor Harry wanted to run the risk of splinching themselves while apparating drunk, but walking had proven to be quite the challenge too, though.

Eventually, however, they stumbled into Harry’s house, making it into the drawing room with difficulty, but laughing all the while.

Being with Harry was exhilarating, fun. And Draco predictably found he very much liked being together like this, completely comfortable in a way he hadn’t been in years.

They got to the sofa by sheer determination, sitting so close that they were almost touching. And Harry was watching him, his green eyes soft behind his glasses. Harry must be quite drunk too.

Draco smiled and Harry smiled back and Harry’s glasses seemed inappropriately in the way all of a sudden. So, Draco proceeded to take them off. Softly. His fingers brushing warm skin.

Harry looked a bit surprised for a moment, but didn’t stop him. Not even when Draco put his hand on Harry’s cheek, almost reverently. And it was like a dream come true when his thumb caressed Harry’s cheekbone. And Harry didn’t object.

“Your eyes are even greener like this,” Draco mumbled quietly, his speech slightly slurring.

“And yours are so grey,” Harry said with a fondness that Draco wanted to drown in. When exactly had Harry’s hand slipped around his neck?

They looked. At each other’s eyes. And slowly they started to move. Right into the inevitable.

Their kiss, when it came, was tentative - like it surprised the both of them, like they didn’t know where it would take them - but when it lasted and neither of them pulled back, it intensified, becoming urgent and messy and so hungry that Draco didn’t think he would ever be able to stop.
