Summary:

Of course Harry had known that Malfoy’d been sent to Azkaban, but, to be honest, since the trials Harry hadn’t really thought of the git at all anymore. A random visit to Slug and Jiggers was about to drastically change that, though. And whose exactly were those letters that Harry found there?

Excerpt:

It had taken them quite some time to get to Harry’s house, even though Harry insisted it was actually rather close by. They’d had to walk, because neither Draco nor Harry wanted to run the risk of splinching themselves while apparating drunk, but walking had proven to be quite the challenge too, though.

Eventually, however, they stumbled into Harry’s house, making it into the drawing room with difficulty, but laughing all the while.

Being with Harry was exhilarating, fun. And Draco predictably found he very much liked being together like this, completely comfortable in a way he hadn’t been in years.

They got to the sofa by sheer determination, sitting so close that they were almost touching. And Harry was watching him, his green eyes soft behind his glasses. Harry must be quite drunk too.

Draco smiled and Harry smiled back and Harry’s glasses seemed inappropriately in the way all of a sudden. So, Draco proceeded to take them off. Softly. His fingers brushing warm skin.

Harry looked a bit surprised for a moment, but didn’t stop him. Not even when Draco put his hand on Harry’s cheek, almost reverently. And it was like a dream come true when his thumb caressed Harry’s cheekbone. And Harry didn’t object.

“Your eyes are even greener like this,” Draco mumbled quietly, his speech slightly slurring.

“And yours are so grey,” Harry said with a fondness that Draco wanted to drown in. When exactly had Harry’s hand slipped around his neck?

They looked. At each other’s eyes. And slowly they started to move. Right into the inevitable.

Their kiss, when it came, was tentative - like it surprised the both of them, like they didn’t know where it would take them - but when it lasted and neither of them pulled back, it intensified, becoming urgent and messy and so hungry that Draco didn’t think he would ever be able to stop.
