It tiptoed just the right balance between late 2000s frutiger aero and 2010s bland corporate minimalism. It was sleek and blocky but it was still full of color and personality.

Windows 10 was technically an improvement on every level but I can't help but feel like it was the downfall of actually pretty user interfaces

HELP!

For anyone with extensive CPU knowledge, please please please I am reaching out.

I have a Windows 8 (sue me), and I got it used from a guy that rebuilds laptops. When I start it up, it will start, open to the login page, and once it unlocks, the entire display is dark. It's on, because the light is still coming from the screen, but there's no display whatsoever.

I've tried letting it die and recharging it, turning it on and off, and disconnecting and reconnecting the battery, but so far I've had no luck.

Is there anything I can do to fix this?

so I have a very old acer laptop that runs windows 8 and sony vegas pro 10. I know the webcam quality is bad anyway, but I was wondering if there was any way to change the format of recorded videos so they save as mp4 instead of avi in both the laptop'sbuilt-in camera app and sony vegas' vidcap? or are they forever avi?
