buddy!! what is your favorite food? and do you play any musical instruments? or, at least used to? and for bill: do you enjoy working with mr connor and what do you think of him?

I’d have to say my favorite food would be anything simple, we can’t really afford anything too crazy or exotic…but Ma does make good cabbage rolls, or Pirogies on occasion. As for if I’ve ever played an instrument…not really…and honestly, I’m more interested in creating art through drawing or sketching, not so much through music�� -Buddy

I feel like I’ve answered this question quite a few times but my response hasn’t really changed. He’s a hard working man that values common sense and genuine effort, he’s a bit blunt or a bit rough around the edges but I don’t mind that. In fact, I appreciate someone who’s willing to be straight with you no matter who you are or where you come from, believe me…it’s actually incredibly refreshing. Compared to people always walking on eggshells around you or even worse, showing you fake kindness due to your wealth or social class.

I wish there were more people that weren’t so afraid of my status or wealth. If it’s not out of fear, it’s out of expectancy, wanting something in return for what they’ve shown me, knowing I have resources or at least connections to what they might want…

I’m just sick of it, and Mr. Connor is one of the few people in my life that’s genuinely treated me like a person, not some valuable decorated item on a pedestal… -Bill

Am I a hypocrite?

I like Manaaki and I'm annoyed by Will Chambers, even though they’re both sexist asses to the important woman in each of their lives. And arguably Manaaki does worse by Cissy than Will does by Bea. And we’re supposed to believe better of Will by the end.

So what’s my deal? (Is it my naked favoritism for any character Alex Tarrant plays? Yes. Undoubtedly, at least in part.)

Spoilers under the cut.

So wrt Will, the major issue is the goddamn “will they won’t they” between him and Bea. He's a love interest, not really a protagonist, so it's difficult to get a handle on him outside of his tie to Bea.

Which means it's really fucking hard for me to get over him continually fucking up and fucking her over! I already went over the way he fucks her over in my post about the Bea/Will ship, but I hate how the show frames them as "star crossed lovers" and that their relationship "overcomes the odds" to the point that it kind of overlooks just how egregious William's choices have been.

But happily ever after I guess ...

Manaaki is more or less a main character, and he has a story outside of howling judgmentally at Awa and knocking Cissy up. There's a character arc there, a loss of innocence, a loss of certainty, an identity shift ... I dunno, there's Stuff there, is the point!

It's so interest how different parts of the fandom view Wesker.

Some see him as heterosexual (and maybe even rightwing homophobic) man who likes his women reeaaaally young (esp. Rebecca, but maybe also Claire and Excella) and is a potential r*pist (controlling Jill and Rebecca).

Other parts of the fandom however see him as a horrible person but who is above being a p*dophile and s*xual abuser and is queer himself (with a thing mainly for Chris Redfield and William Birkin) and would treat his s/o well

I'd like to know what is more true to the canon but I am afraid of the answer since RE devs can be unnecessary weird
