Okay, I'm gonna do something funny.
Giving bands I've listened to a number rating
Here's my music playlist for reference:
I'll only be ranking bands or musicians that I have listened to 3 different songs from. So MF Doom will not be on the list, sorry
Queen
Rating: 9/10
Favorite song: Don't Stop Me Now
Notes: I'm pretty sure it's impossible to not have listened to at least 1 Queen song. They're one of the most popular bands out there for a reason.
Daft Punk
Rating: 10/10
Favorite song: Instant Crush or Make Love
Notes: Actually my favorite musical duo of all time. They haven't fumbled the bag with their albums once, and they went out on a perfect high note with Random Access Memories.
Scatman John
Rating: 7.5/10
Favorite song: Scatman's World or Scatman (Game Over Jazz)
Notes: Probably one of the most inspirational guys in media. He took his verbal problems and turned it into his career. I hope he rests in peace.
Pink Floyd
Rating: 7/10
Favorite song: Wish You Were Here or Comfortably Numb
Notes: Weird band, since they can range from high highs to aggressively middling. The good outweighs the bad, though, and The Wall movie slaps hard.
Tenacious D
Rating: 9/10
Favorite song: Wonderboy
Notes: Petition to let Jack Black make a song for any upcoming movie.
David Bowie
Rating: 9.5/10
Favorite song: Blackstar or Starman
Notes: The fact that you can see David's bulge in Labyrinth either convinces me I should watch it or keeps me away from it. Depends on the day.
John Williams
Rating: 8.5/10
Favorite song: Superman theme
Notes: I'm surprised he's still alive at this point.
Ween
Rating: 8/10
Favorite song: Ocean Man
Notes: They made a song called "Waving My Dick in the Wind." Haven't listened to it yet
Toby Fox
Rating: 10/10
Favorite song: Undertale
Notes: If I remember correctly, didn't Toby make some tracks for YIIK? What's he doing in there?
Lemon Demon
Rating: 9/10
Favorite song: Touch-Tone Telephone, Cabinet Man, or Two Trucks
Notes: My mom hates Lemon Demon because of Two Trucks.
C418
Rating: 10/10
Favorite song: Aviva
Notes: N/A
Neil Ciciereaga
Rating: 7/10
Favorite song: Mouth Pressure or Bustin
Notes: The Mouth Albums go extraordinary hard for what are essentially glorified All-Star memes.
Bill Wurtz
Rating: 9/10
Favorite song: the ending or here comes the sun
Notes: hi, you're on a rock, floating in space. pretty cool, huh?
Duster
Rating: 10/10
Favorite song: Inside Out or Me and the Birds
Notes: Just discovered them. Those stupid Sisyphus memes were good for something.
Austin Farwell
Rating: 8.5/10
Favorite song: New Home (Slowed)
Notes: Prepare to rethink everything you've done.
Will Wood
Rating: 9.5/10
Favorite song: "Mr. Capgras," "Love, Me Normally," or "Against the Kitchen Floor"
Notes: The difference between his first three albums and "in case I make it" is the funniest thing I've seen. Bro pulled a 180 (or a 90). Good for him.
Conclusion
Music is cool. Bye

Shakespeare Weekend!
Volume 15 of the thirty-seven volume The Comedies Histories & Tragedies of William Shakespeare is Henry the Eighth, illustrated with wood engravings by one of the foremost designer/illustrators of the 20th century, Eric Gill, and published in 1939 by the Limited Editions Club (LEC) in an edition of 1950 copies. Henry VIII is a collaborative history play, written by William Shakespeare and John Fletcher, based on the life of Henry VIII, and first published in the Folio of 1623. It was during a performance of this play at the Globe Theatre in 1613 that a cannon shot employed for special effects ignited the theatre's roof, burning the original Globe building to the ground.
Gill’s wood engravings were printed directly from the wood by R. & R. Clark in  Edinburgh. Gill writes that the play seemed to him to turn on the intrigue of Anne Boleyn:
So the first engraving shows the King enamoured of Anne. . . . The second shows a symbol of Henry’s doubts: the scales hold on the one side the charming Anne and on the other a lighted candle, symbolising the pure light of truth represented by Catherine. . . . The third picture shows the fall of Wolsey: a naked Cardinal seems to signify a breakdown of all earthly grandeurs. The fourth picture shows the coronation of Anne, symbolically taking place on the tomb of Catherine; and lastly the baptism of Elizabeth . . . sitting in the font, held up by the Bishop, under whose cloak is hiding the modern man of business with account book . . .
The volume in the set was printed in an edition of 1950 copies at the Press of A. Colish, and each was illustrated by a different artist, but the unifying factor is that all volumes were designed by famed book and type designer Bruce Rogers and edited by the British theatre professional and Shakespeare specialist Herbert Farjeon. Our copy is number 1113, the number for long-standing LEC member Austin Fredric Lutter of Waukesha, Wisconsin.

From Zeus DVD: Skidoo (1968)
Director - Otto Preminger
Writer - Doran William Cannon
Starring Jackie Gleason, Carol Channing, & Frankie Avalon
Producer and director Otto Preminger reportedly experimented with LSD in the late '60s, which inspired him to make this notorious comedy in which Jackie Gleason plays Tony, a mid-level gangster and former hired killer not very happy with his life. He bickers a lot with his wife Flo (Carol Channing) and isn't sure what to make of his daughter Darlene (Alexandra Hay), especially since she started dating a hippie named Stash (John Phillip Law). Two of Tony's superiors, Angie (Frankie Avalon) and Hechy (Cesar Romero) order him to get arrested, go to prison, and once behind bars whack "Blue Chips" Packard (Mickey Rooney). Though he's not pleased with the idea, Tony grudgingly goes along, but once inside, he's accidentally dosed with LSD by counterculture activist the Professor (Austin Pendleton). His consciousness expanded by his trip, Tony leaves his violent lifestyle behind him and with the Professor's help plans an escape after turning the entire prison population onto acid. Certainly, your only opportunity to see Groucho Marx play a character named "God," not to mention a supporting cast that includes Slim Pickens, Peter Lawford, George Raft, Frank Gorshin, and Arnold Stang, Skidoo is also remembered as the film in which Harry Nilsson sang all the credits.

If you’re a fan of the movie “Kill Your Darlings” you’ve come to the right place.
My name is Rowan (he/him) and on this blog you may find~
Edits
Gifs
Quotes
Movie analysis
Writing
And more!
My asks are always open if you have questions about this blog or if you just want to talk about the movie.
Disclaimers: The movie is rated R and I will be posting some of the explicit stuff from the movie here so please do not interact if you are a minor!
This blog is also not promoting drug use, toxic relationships, or anything of the sort. My intent is never to romanticize any of the mental health or drug abuse problems present in the movie, so please don’t take it that way.
Though the movie is based on real people, my posts will focus on the universe established by the movie unless stated otherwise. It’s important to remember that some events were dramatized for the screen and I am not commenting on the lives or livelihood of the real life Allen Ginsberg, Lucien Carr, or any of the other real people portrayed in the movie.
I hope you’ll consider sticking around. Break the pattern, make the world wider.

Home Alone In Concert (Revisit 2023)
One of my favorite concert experiences, is to see a film I love, with the score delivered by an orchestra. Earlier this year I had the chance to see “Star Wars” in Concert with the Austin Symphony Orchestra. I suspect that the music director of the symphony is a fan of composer John Williams (of course who isn’t?), because this week, for the second time this year, a score featuring the music of…
