We should talk more about the fact Jason got swarmed and attacked by a mob as Robin, like??? Hello. He had to be left there because the mob was too violent with Batman near. He had to be taken to the hospital.

The next time we see him he's forcing himself out of bed and putting on the Robin costume thinking "I've gotta do what I can to help, even if it kills me!"

I cannot stop thinking about this story and the effects it probably had on him honestly. Do you think it's made him nervous in crowds, do you think it made him trust others just that bit less. How long do you think he was being attacked before he was found, the scene had cleared. "I've gotta do what I can to help, even if it kills me!",,,,

Just the concept itself! I don't know about you guys but being attacked and grabbed and trampled into unconsciousness sounds absolutely terrifying! Did he black out, still getting hit, thinking he was going to die? Knowing he couldn't defend himself as his injuries to took their toll? At their complete mercy?

favourite headcanon right now is that 20 year old mike wheeler wrote a good omens fanfic in 1991 using one of his university computers after he read the book for the first time, and then 48 year old mike wheeler watched the tv adaptation with his partner of 29 years and finally posted that fic on ao3

considering hera's canon disability, i think there's something interesting about the presumably short lifespans of goddard AIs. each generation of sensus units seems to be on a development cycle of about three years, and the gen zero units - rhea among them - were less than a decade old. there's nothing to say that an older AI will necessarily be replaced by a newer one, and it's entirely possible goddard maintains and upgrades the functionality of at least some, but there's no sentimentality to it. the fact remains that AIs do not have lives outside their jobs, and their ability to keep those jobs depends entirely on being the most reliable, effective, and cost-efficient option. think about the life cycle of real-world technology. these are people for whom the right to repair and access to healthcare are the same thing, and there's something in that about planned obsolescence and the way capitalist systems treat human people like disposable objects - particularly, again, with regard to disability, and lines of work where it's a high risk.

and i'm interested in hera and embodiment from that angle. because people like her don't tend to live that long - there's no way of even knowing if a regular human lifespan will be possible for her - and the idea of her having a body is uncharted territory with even more uncertainty attached. people will tell her that. that her body could reject her, that she might not have mobility, that it might make her pain worse, that it might not work at all. that, even if it does, she probably won't live very long that way. and she might have difficulty, and pain, and, yes, she will still be disabled. but she will go on to live another thirty or forty years longer than anyone told her would be possible, and get so used to normal, comfortable everyday things that she'll take them for granted. that's what i want for her.

every time i rewatch the miracle aligner music video i am just flabbergasted. FLABBERGASTED. like. they really chose to make it like THAT. and by 'like THAT' i am specifically referring to:

1) “an attempt to extract the truth... approximately" *cue rosepetals and intense eye contact*

2) THIS being the opening shot of the two of them

3) miles legitimately spending the first minute of the entire video blatantly checking alex out

4) literal rainbow lighting around them

5) endless hand holding and twirling

6) that moment where miles's hand reaches ever so reflexively for alex's neck
