These dragons and their siblings are looking for a new home! I am back from my 3 week hiatus of posting hatchery kids, with a giantic amount. I posted a total of 19 clutches to the hatchery yesterday, one of them is already sold, and I still have more in my sales tab.
Some of the kids are born on New Year's Eve or New Year, some of them on 11/01 if you like interesting hatch dates.
Price range is 35kt/g for the cheapest and only the Sandsurges are over 100kt/g.
As always, all of them are on the AH for gems, but just ask or sent a CR if you want to pay in treasure or mixed payments.
@fr-dragon-sales @fr-boosts
As always find my hatchery thread and Sales tab in the reblogs.

My Windsinger!
Juniper is friggin adorable! 😍😍
She's such a nerd, and so aren't I! 🤓😎
I vibe with easily excited nerds!
(Fade/Blend/Basic(?)
What do you think her actual colors/genes are?)
I'm totally giggling at her reactions to the Auraboa, AND the Auraboa freaking out about their hatchlings being "silent/wilting." 😆
Nice name btw!
Aura Boa, it rolls off the tongue, and is kinda fun to say!
Try saying it three times fast out loud! 🤭
Yes, of course they eat meat, like Wildclaws, I just was not expecting fish to be in their diets as well. 😅
(I was thinking they'd be like Spirals in a sense, eating meat and insects, but I'm not mad that they eat fish, not in the slightest!
It actually kinda fits!)
I thought maybe another insect eater, and if you worship The Behemoth, they prolly wouldn't be EATING foliage! 🤭
Though they're kinda like Coatls in a way, so that makes remembering that they like fish easier!
Ooh!
I wonder how they do with speaking with Fae!
Coatls themselves too!
That big ole' crest of theirs is prolly really good for "talking" to others!
Ya think another derg, modern, or another ancient could potentially enter the loop?
Prolly with fandergs that have psychic links of their own, though you could prolly do original lore for a non- fanderg if you wished!
Maybe this means Aether prices will start to go down/more "fodder" Aethers will appear?!? ✌
👉👈
Hmm, staff seems to like snakes eh?
Oof, they're like giant band-aids to the Behemoth?
Interesting...
Hah! Staff also agrees that Wildclaws "squawk!"
Very good for those who have bird like subspecies/linages like Efluvial Crows and the like!
I can't wait to see these in the Night warriors, and the Sunset lineage threads!!!
Hah!
By next Fall/Autumn, people should prolly have a good handle on Auraboa RP!
Ugh, they just came out, but I'm excited to see the lore/breeding pairs to come out of these puppies!
Omg!
Imagine an Autumnal pair!
Orange, maybe a bit of green, with I dunno, Wind eyes?
(Not me being biased to my own flight! 🤭😅)

Resistance is futile.
Video description below the cut
Video Description:
Video set in a garden drawn in the style of Flight Rising. There are high hedges in the background and two wooden arches with rose bushes growing on them in the foreground. The video starts with a single Spiral dragon hatchling popping into view when the narrator says he's only going to get one. Then a Skydancer hatchling pops into view when he says he needs another one. This is followed by a Snapper hatchling showing up when he says he needs a third. Finally the narrator gives up and says he may as well get the full set and 19 more dragon hatchlings representing each breed of dragon currently available on Flight Rising pop up and take over the screen.
Transcript:
0:00 Okay.
0:00 I'm just gonna get one.
0:01All right.
0:02 It's just one, right.
0:02 How bad could one be?
0:04 It's not that expensive.
0:05 It's not, well, I mean, I have to get it a friend.
0:06 Right.
0:07 I mean, who's, who's he gonna talk to?
0:08 He's gonna get bored and, and you know what, if they get sick of each other, you know, they, they, they need a third guy and honestly I have three.
0:14 I might as well get the whole set, you know?
0:16 I mean, like, why, why not?

Back when the Nature Ancient was teased I was really hoping for lemur dragons. These creatures don't look like lemurs, nor do they look like dragons, but I like them. I call them Traipsers.
Design notes/trivia/what-have-yous under the cut:
The lore behind these dragons (though 'dragon' is really stretching it) is that they're compassionate, social creatures who live in troops upwards of 50 individuals. Led by three or four of the wisest troop members, Traipsers are known to lead lost travelers through the Viridian Labyrinth, or even house them temporarily within their canopy cities. In the rarest cases, a troop will gladly adopt rescued dragons and Beastclan into their ranks.
Though their gentle temperaments were widely respected by other rainforest denizens, the introduction of the fiercely combative Wildclaws drove Traipsers into hiding, up the tallest tree boughs of the Behemoth where their less dexterous cousins could not reach. For years and years they stayed out of sight, until strange shifts in the magical ley lines started to disrupt draconic way of life - including for Wildclaws. The Traipsers, despite their history, could not sit by and watch their neighbors suffer, so once again they emerged, ready to lend a helping hand.
Traipsers resemble a cross between tree frogs and lemurs. The long nail on the dragon's index finger is used in scratching, foraging and climbing. A large throat sac can inflate to make riveting ribbiting sounds. But Traipsers' most notable trait is their large head fans, which show off a wide array of colors for courtship and expressive purposes. Despite the dark bases of these fans looking like horns, they are actually mostly muscle, and house the ear canal underneath, similar to an elephant. The fans are attached at the back of the neck, and can move up, down, and side-to-side. The tails are too thin to be prehensile, but they can signal to other members of a troop like a flag.
Many of a Traipser's traits are used less for combat and more for communication, as they have not had natural enemies for most of their existence. In addition, Traipser culture values airtight troop relationships, agreeableness, and personal style. Rude, argumentative, or just plain headstrong Traipsers risk banishment from a troop. Loneliness is the worst kind of torture for a Traipser; without anyone to lend support, a loner tends to withdraw and shut down to the point of neglecting their own needs. It's usually after rescue by another troop that the loner 'learns their lesson' and becomes more agreeable. The generosity of a functioning Traipser society starkly contrasts the suffering of its more hotheaded individuals.
On the subject of style, it's not uncommon for Traipsers to decorate their fans with fruit dyes, leaves, stones, and whatever else catches their eyes. Paintings of family or friendship history are a very fashionable choice. Lairs function similarly, only more permanent and with large hanging nests for troops to cuddle in. The care of hatchlings is a group effort, where the parents will gather their closest friends and family to take turns watching over the young and teaching them about the world. Exposure to a friend group's diverse range of worldviews at a young age helps in forming strong Traipser minds.
Traipsers are not used to fighting, and will typically flee to their troop if confronted. If a troop should face danger, a handful of members will attack the opponent with rapid-fire, dizzying kicks and tail smacks, while the rest guard the weak. Lone Traipsers do not have the luxury of teamwork, and will resort to biting and scratching with their long canines and nails. A particularly desperate Traipser will grapple their opponent and attempt to dislocate or break bones, including the jaw.
Some image assets:
And there you have it! Fanmade dragons. This was a lot to do, I'm not sure if I'll add any more genes/assets. Nothing's set in stone, though! I like making fake things look real.
Traipsers are free-to-use with credit, and you can give them whatever genes or colors you want.
#the hatchlings look like a great wroggi but who cares. lemur frog thing!!!#these were made a while ago but now w/ the anniversary there's still a chance for lemurs#a less than .001% chance but still a chance#also i know traipser isn't a word (traipse is) but also neither is 'myrid' and that's a gene. so whatever!#also also sorry if the lore is weird i've never done this before#flight rising#flight rising fanart#frfanart#fr fanart#art#creature design#fr ancients#rook draws!#rook roars!#image heavy#long post

a few finished projects that I've been vibing with a lot! and their bonus lore rambles under the cut to keep things a little more trim ; w;
» the wives [ Padparadscha | Bunanuhnanuh ]
antique jaguar ᛜ ginger breakup ᛜ terracotta koi bronze piebald ᛜ white basic ᛜ terracotta koi
» the twins [ Naberius | custard ]
stone piebald ᛜ white basic ᛜ spruce koi tarnish pharaoh ᛜ white basic ᛜ brown basic
» acolyte goblin ambassador [ moss ]
white basic ᛜ obsidian paint ᛜ hickory koi
I swear I'm normal about naming dragons-- I'll have serious names alongside dumb meme ones and treat them equally as seriously as characters. I swear, it makes sense in my lair. I promise.
» the wives [ Padparadscha | Bunanuhnanuh ]
Pad and Bun are wives, with Bun being the elegant airhead and Pad being the gruff behemoth. Pad is near twice Bun's size and tends to be more protective/defensive than the wildclaw is. Her pearl tends to stay with Bun when not in her pearl pouch, who keeps it in one of her silk scarves padded with dry moss and lavender sprigs.
The two of them are residing in the Bazaar, currently travelling between there and the Oasis to finalise some trade agreements before the encampments decide to make proper paths between them. While Bun is more than happy to keep the conversation for the two of them, Pad is just.... always listening. The pearlcatcher beast somehow always seems to know what is going on and can quickly get the answer to the most obscure questions if given enough time to think. This includes knowledge from any of their other outposts, somehow able to just.... know. ( Behind the scenes, she's actually a fraction of a hydra, and despite them being split, they are still able to communicate telepathically with each other, resulting in easy relay of information between allied outposts nearly instantly but the only one who controls/knows of this is Quail. )
Bun used to be part of the Roost outpost, which is why her namesake is so strange compared to the desert-dwellers. She's kept her name, although able to change it any time given how Roost customs are, and finds some joy in how hers and Pad's mirror each other in length. Those close to her may call her Bun or Bana, although Pad tends to call her Sprig, Sweetbean, and other soft little nicknames. When relaxing, Pad often gnaws on Bun's horns when cuddling to keep her tusks in check, something Bun doesn't mind as her horns constantly grow regardless.
» the twins [ Naberius | custard ]
The youngest of the Acolytes ( a subterranean clan that only emerges for three weeks a year and spends the rest of the year worshiping the Solstice trio I / II / III and tunnelling. More Info on them is heeeeeere! ) They have the same affliction post-hatchling that ogi and his younger sibling do, where they just haven't progressed further physically or mentally. They have a lot of inherent volatile magics because of what they are, but they can't always act on it in the way they want due to whatever is stunting them. This leaves the two a little hard to predict, scrapping as often as they'd play, all while leaving arcs of fulgurite along the tunnels from their warring elements.
They are often underfoot, eager to help tunnelling efforts and harvesting lichen, but are easy to tire out and will just nap wherever they run out of energy. It's not uncommon to find both of them blocking a tunnel because they need a quick powernap. Good luck moving them.
Naberius and custard's energy came from an old elemental, also named Naberius, who decayed on the Acolyte border after leaving the bounds of the Oasis. The two spawned from his fall and have many of his powers, but with the stunt and divide between them, it is just a grain of what it used to be. Sezha knew what they grew from, and decided to keep Naberius' name for one as a way to honour his fall, while casket was allowed to name the other, resulting in the mock-roost name: custard.
» acolyte goblin ambassador [ moss ]
Moss is the 'ambassador' for the Acolytes when they're out of the ground, or when dealing with people who come to 'trade' ( drop gifts and supplies, they don't actually want anything from the Acolytes in exchange and are just encouraged to do so by Quail and repaid for it in other ways ) at the outposts' entrance during their submerged seasons. She loves the idea of bartering and making a trade, only really knowing how trade works from her few visits to the Oasis grounds and seeing the elementals make pacts.
When trading, she wears The Hat. The hat is a combination of a few hats she's traded for over the years, worn around the edges and lovingly cared for. She often puts feathers, gemstones, or dried flowers tucked into the brim for flair, and will outright refuse to accept offers from other outposts if she can't get her claws on her hat at that time. All business MUST be done with the hat.
When not being Very Important, she spends most of her time tunnelling and setting up the lighting system in the deeper section of the lair. The Acolytes currently use a lighting method that leeches off the ley lines beneath them, giving them an easy method to track the health of the flow of magic and know when their worship is required. These free-floating orbs can be placed at any area of the lair as long as they're still connected to the earth, and so often will be rooted to the walls with vining plants from handsome's farm.

I love getting new dragon breeds but the community is starting to wear me OUT.
Dislike the dusthides? Great, sell the hatchlings and move on. There's a disturbing rise of people on flight rising who seem to get genuinely offended if a dragon breed doesn't appeal to them personally. There are 23 other dragon breeds if you dislike the dusthides so much.
I hate Ridgebacks, Imperials, and Wildclaws. So I don't have any of those breeds in my lair, it's literally that easy. There is no need to create several threads complaining about dusthides like they're a commission you paid for. They were FREE.

random dragon breed parenting headcanons GO
skydancers go broody like chickens and are such devoted parents because they use their emotion-sensing magic to bond with their kids before they even hatch.
mirrors can do parthenogenesis aka females clone themselves.
fae gather in large colonies during the warm months and display with their large wings. several pairs of fae raise large clutches together.
tundras have live young cuz they're like mammals to me. parents and hatchlings will hide away for a few weeks to bond and memorize each other's scent, but afterwards young dragons are cared for by the whole community
wildclaws put their eggs in nests of decomposing plant matter to keep them warm. most abandon their nests and the young must grow and join a new group on their own.
nocturnes sometimes get confused and will give food to any creature that begs for it. if several pairs are nesting at the same time, they'll accidentally feed each other's hatchlings.
young snappers ride on the backs of adults during their travels
obelisks sometimes call their kids "pebbles"
#g postin#sometimes dragons r just creatures in my mind like a nature documentary#sometimes they go to college and whatever. sometimes they're like a colony of nesting birds
