Sonic Underground is just so weird, some of the episodes contradict themselves, I Feel. Well it was certainly a thing, all things considered, LOL!

Oh, I will be the FIRST to say that sonic underground was objectively a bad show. The art style and models were inconsistent as hell (which I could apsolutly talk at length about), The writing feels like they had maybe one writers room and called it a day, not to mention to questionable voice acting.

The reosen I'm so attached to it, foremost, is the nostalgia, I think. I only know about it at ALL because me and my brother used to go for sleepovers at my uncles house. He was like, 20, at the time and didn't really have alot of stuff to occupy a 10 y/o and a 7 y/o in his tiny bacholers pad of a flat so he broke out his old box set of sonic underground and we'd watch that and eat pizza.

That aside, though, I enjoy it now because it has an objectively cool concept. It's an awfully handled concept but cool, non the less. You got this really awesome set up of three siblings with vaughly defined magic powers in an underground rebellion against an enemy that can and will do something worse than death if he catches them. They all come from different backgrounds so they all (in theory) bring unique perspectives to situations.

Sonic is a seosened rebel, having worked with his uncle before the three met up. He is used to leading the charge and has an intemate understanding of how the rebellion functions and its members.

Sonia is from an aristocratic background. She understands etiquette and has contacts in the higher classes. She has skills trained by professional personal tutors and knows how to work and blend into a crowd.

Then there's Manic. Raised in the real underground of the city, he has contacts with criminals and understands under the table dealings. He's got hard earned street smarts, is a master thief, and knows how to talk with and get information from the city's seedy underbelly.

The potential there is so potent is drives me insane sometimes! Yes, I have expireanced media since that dose all these things and handles them better but with the endearment from my past thrown in, I find there's just nothing quite like it!

the yellow lines highlighting things is actually marking (almost) everywhere they touch since the primary theme of this piece is physical affection! the stars were just for fun

top left (kissing): pretty self explanatory! fun fact, it was the first thing i drew for this piece :)

top middle (hand on back): i was trying to sleep the other night and my brain suddenly went. drarry physical affection and that was the first thing i pictured! i kind of imagined this one as like... dracos stressed or something and harry just puts a nice comforting hand on his back

top right: the good ol pinkie hand hold,, link, ,think. yeah. no real thoughts behind this one. it fit the box and its cute

middle left (speech bubbles): one thing i see a lot (im pretty sure this is ((implied in)) canon as well, but dracos a big yapper! so its kinda showing here that harrys just listening to all hes got to say. probably my favourite one of the lot, i had fun rendering it. (looking at this post i too am a yapper)

middle (orange slices): theres this thing where you peel an orange for the people you love. you can look at it either way; draco providing food for harry, knowing his childhood food insecurity and always wanting to make sure he has something, or harry (whose love language is acts of service) giving something to draco, maybe after a long day

watermarked middle (draco constellation): just some fun symbolism i thought i might try to fit in

middle right (legs): in this theyre just chilling. dracos reading (the book didnt come across well ((i cant draw hands very well)).

right edge (flowers): these are narcissus flowers, also known as daffodils. a reference to narcissa malfoy, and also a reference i suppose to how she saved harry in the forest, because draco was alive, because harry saved him in the room of requirement

bottom left edge (flowers): these are lilies. partly to complete the circle of mothers saving sons saving the world, and partly because i wanted to fill space. (theyre fucking terrible to draw tho i do not recommend)

bottom left (hand in hair): well harrys hair is very luxurious as you can see and i imagine during cuddles draco cards his hand through it and teases out snarls and such. (i know hair pulling is something that can be seen as sexual, this isnt that and it isnt meant to be that and please dont see it as that :(

bottom watermark (stag): harrys patronus because why not

bottom middle: so this is a bit obscure but theres this post by @/iamnmbr3 that talks about a headcanon that they can share wands and its kind of special and intimate. so thats what ive depicted here. also for funsies harry has the draco constellation on his arm. not the big dipper. also i cant draw the dark mark for shit

bottom right (shoes): just a subtle way they can touch, not always big. just under the table or sitting on the sofa together, just to feel the other person there.

i knew i wanted a warm scheme and i knew i wanted orange and blue to play a big part in this. i was going to have warm colours on blue and cool colours on orange as a sort of contrast but that didnt end up working out.. the wand scene is an attempt at it except i mixed it up and made it cool on cool, its so washed out and i didnt bother to fix it

So I finally use makeup and i feel like i unlocked a new part of the store (im 19 sad ik ) and i might have spent my whole paycheck on makeup (didnt mean to ) and while I was doing that i kept getting thoughts of Bradley looking at the price of makeup and being flabbergasted (I was looking for a highlighter and i found one and was gonna get it BUT it 17 dollars for a SMALL AND I MEAN SMALL highlighter stick so I got a new one ) i just know Bradley would be so stunned. But he try to help but he would lose his mind at the prices

Bradley's mostly content to wander behind you with the basket when you shop, but as your hand reaches for a lip gloss tube, his eyes widen.

"Baby," He hisses, "That's- twenty-nine dollars? Isn't that lip gloss?"

"It's a celebrity's brand," You point at the label, "That makes it more expensive."

"Jesus. Well don't get that one," He scoffs, "Isn't there shit by the counter for cheaper?"

"I want this one!" You retort indignantly, "It's my money, Brad, I can do whatever I want."

"I'm not trying to control you," He swears, "I'm trying to save you money! I saw a color just like that at CVS for six bucks."

"Is Rihanna the one selling it?" You raise a brow at him, "Makeup's expensive, that's just how it is."

"I guess. Twenty-nine dollars for lip gloss," He grumbles as you toss it into the cart, "That's, like, a meal out, baby. I could buy a new pair of shoes for that much money. And- Forty dollars?!" You're surprised his jaw doesn't drop through the floor like a cartoon, "Babe! That little jar is forty dollars!"

"Keep your voice down," You round on him in a fit of giggles, covering his mouth so as not to draw attention to yourself in the bustling store, "I know, baby. Like I said, makeup's just expensive. Let me just grab what I need, and then we can go, okay? I'll make us something for lunch, we won't spend any more money."

"I don't know if I can financially support this hobby of yours," He regretfully informs you as soon as you remove your hand from his mouth, "Baby, I mean it, I'm happy you like this stuff, but this is gonna break the bank."

"I said I'd use my own money," You promise, though you're certain he'll slide his card through the reader before you can even get yours out of your purse; he always does. "It's okay, baby, it lasts for a while. It's worth it."

"I hope so," His shoulders slump, and you know he's not going to cause another scene, "I just can't believe they're allowed to charge you that much for a tiny little tube. I mean, my shampoo is five dollars, and it comes in, like, a gallon."

"I know, honey," You placate him, looping your arm through his own. You neglect to mention the fact that you're fairly certain his shampoo is also technically body wash and conditioner, and how that might be why it's so cheap, "I know, it's okay. Next time I'll come by myself, I promise."
