i adore how mxtx sorta flipped the idea on the whole top/bottom thing with svsss, and just BL relationships in general.
making bingqiu very open to switching, not making the "bottom" super feminine and actually leaning more to the handsome side compared to the "top", how luo binghe is manipulative sensitive and cries easily, etc. one of the main themes in svsss is literally about sexuality (and possibly even about gender roles).
as a queer asian man myself, i absolutely despise the "yaoi archetype" and it was one of the reasons why i avoided consuming BL media. hell, years ago when i first saw heavens official blessing, i mentally groaned and went, "ugh, let me guess, the bottom is super feminine and innocent, while the top is masculine and experienced." of course, that's not the case now, but it's disappointing how that thought was there purely because of the god awful way fetish-y media portrays homosexual people and couples. because, believe it or not, we are not assigned male/female typical gender roles just because one likes to top/bottom (and even then, it's not even like that! some people have preferences, sure, but it's not so strictly "i'm top/bottom")
so, while i absolutely LOVE the english novel designs (especially luo binghe's cute curly hair, gongyi xiao, etc, and personally believe a lot of the takes from the western artist on the designs are an improvement), i am greatly saddened by people subconsciously assigning shen qingqiu as someone more delicate and feminine and luo binghe as someone super masculine and muscly. like, if you're going to have luo binghe depicted as the western design (i believe this stems from binghe being applied to more western ideals for men, and, admittedly, i actually really love his design), at least don't make shen qingqiu feminine and delicate? don't have his appearance play into the stupid yaoi thing?
i get that people have different takes on svsss, especially how the western version depicts it. but, people just... seem to very over exaggerate the top/bottom roles when it comes to bingqiu (again, these two are, canonically, VERY open to switching).
it's weird, it's uncomfortable, and it comes across as, "so, who wears the pants in the relationship?"
so, can we please have more canonically handsome shen qingqiu? canonically beautiful and pretty boy luo binghe (they literallly state that binghe looks EXACTLY like his mom, su xiyan! while a more handsome woman, is still very beautiful!! plus it is stated several times that binghe is slim, and that shang qinghua made him that way!) or at the very least, a BL couple who actually look like normal people (ok thats a little hard considering binghe is literally supposed to be perfect) and not just a stupid fetishized version of themselves.
and no, i'm not saying that queer men shouldn't be feminine or men who are feminine shouldn't be in a relationship with guys who are masculine, etc.
TLDR: please stop twinkifying shen qingqiu and going against what mxtx defied for us queer men (the stupid yaoi roles). and for the love of whoever you believe in, do NOT think that i hate the english design or people's personal interpretation of characters, i just hate the subconscious assigning of gender roles to bingqiu and how media portrays and fetishizes LGBTQ+ relationships in general.
edit: also i love teardrew's (check them out on twitter!) interpretation of shang qinghua. while i do really like the the eng novel design's tiny scared hamster vibes, teardrew's version just radiates "up to no good, paranoid but suspicious looking bitch" rat man and i love it so so so much. i'm not gonna repost their art bc i don't know how they feel about that but perhaps you can search up "svsss designs" on here, you'll see it pop up eventually lol.
edit 2 (1/16): i just saw someone reblog a post (that im pretty sure was referring to this one because, well, if you saw it i think it'd be a little clear kahxj) that was about how bingqiu switching and completely eschewing traditional top/bottom dynamics was a fandom idea or smth? so now i'm wondering, since i swear i remember that they were open to switching, but it's just that sqq preferred to bottom and/or was just a little too lazy to top. plus, sqq is a pretty unreliable narrator who says he doesn't want something one moment and then he does. how could he say no to bingbing? esp if he seems to wanna try bottoming too. perhaps i'm mixing things up though, idk? so if anyone can find that passage that says he only and strictly wants to bottom or whatever please show me! but i think the point of this post still stands haha (i wanted to ask about it, actually, but when i clicked on the og post's user it turned out that they blocked me ? so that was a little surprising oops. hey if ur somehow reading this, im... sorry for making you want to block me bc of this post? akdhxjj)

I want to know how mxtx constructs her relationship dynamics. They aren't just tropes, archetypes, foils. They feel so full, especially in the ways fandom explores all the nuggets of detail sprinkled throughout canon (and the ways the adaptations add or explore more). And not just the (canon) romantic ones, but also family members and political counterparts. It feels like all the combinations are fleshed out, including implied out-of-scene developments that have creators of transformative works salivating. The relationship between Lan Xichen, Jin Guangyao, Nie Mingjue. My Qing and Feng Xin. Beefleaf. Shang Qinghua and the other peak lords. Pre-canon parent lives, the juniors, towns passed through, the people of the land. Dynamics aren't just push-pull, teacher-student, savior-saved, unstoppable-unmovable, caregiver-cared for, dom-sub, light-dark, runner-statue, etc etc etc. And then to provide reasons for why characters crave that dynamic, why they resist it, how some cave to what they want and need due to circumstance or relationship development, how some are never able to for similar reasons. The part of me that likes to tug and prod at that flow, feeling the angst, struggle, desire and love, has an ocean of content to play with. It's no wonder Wangxian is one of the most prolific ship tags, and I hope to see more for Hualian once (if 😩) more is adapted as animation or drama. (Unfortunately I'm sure SV will continue to be the neglected eldest child -- more/continued adaptations would help there too.) Creators are just so damn creative in the ways they play in this sandbox and I'm just happy to be here to enjoy it. 🥰

Random ask, who are your favorite romantic relationship's couples in any media, like anime/manga, tv series, books, etc (can be canon or non-canon)? Feel free if you want to write the reasons or not of why you love them....
Thanks for this ask sm!!!!!! I was so excited to answer it, I had to log in on my laptop to type this all out lmao I have very strong feelings about ships and shipping, and my favorite characters!! Sorry in advance this isn't a list, but more of an essay, I just can't make myself to choose only 10 ships!
Well, first, I love obsessive relationships, so one of my favorite ships is definitely Xie Lian/Hua Cheng (Heaven Official's Blessing)
and while we're on danmei, honorable mentions for Chu Wanning/Mo Ran (The Husky and His White Cat Shizun) and Mobei-jun/Shang Qinghua (the side couple in The Scum Villain's Self-Saving System).
I love Genshin Impact, and I have several ships that I love and that I think would and should be canon if China weren't viciously homophobic, but my favorites are Childe/Zhongli and Kaedehara Kazuha/Tomo (aka Kazuha's best friend). I also love Alhaitham/Kaveh.
When it comes to anime, I'm genuinely convinced jjk is partially a bl bcs of Gojo Satoru/Getou Suguru. Like best friends to lovers to enemies is THE BEST trope (I love suffering). And along those lines, another favorite is Dazai Osamu/Nakahara Chuuya, but I do also ship Dazai with Oda, I like the weird relationship they have, and I like the fact that them having romantic feelings for each other just makes their dynamic even more fucked up.
When it comes to kind of sweet ships, I love Din Djarin/Luke Skywalker, and I especially love to read all the single parent Din Djarin fics, they're so sweet!! Another one is probably Kozume Kenma/Kuroo Teturou. Fun fact: I never finished watching Haikyuu!!, I just love their vibes, and have a lot of feelings about best friends to lovers ships evidently lmao I'm also going to add Eddie Diaz/Evan Buckley here bcs they're a combo version of the other two ships containing my favorite things (single dads and bestiism to lovers). They're a new favorite ship, but I think they're here to stay
And lastly, my favorite ships from books. Starting with Jude/Cardan (The Folk of The Air), I like it when men are pathetic and that's what really appeals to me in this ship lmao And then there are the classic ships if you were on booklr during 2012-2015, which are Ronan Lynch/Adam Parrish (The Raven Cycle), and Magnus Bane/Alec Lightwood (Shadowhunters). Let me just be very clear, I've never watched the tv show, so my love is only for the book series ship.
Anyways, thanks so much for this ask, I've had lots of fun thinking about it and answering it <3

Hello..If you don't mind me asking, can I ask, what are your top 7 (or top 10) favorite media (can be books/ manga/ anime/movies/tv series/etc) and your top 10 favorite (fictional) characters from any media? Why do you love them all? Sorry if you've answered this questions before......
Thanks for asking! Be warned, long post
For media in no particular order:
Code Geass - Great male lead and phenomenal ending. Has that anime trope of too many love interests with little personality, but still has some really good female characters (Nunnally and Euphemia are amazing). The Lelouch and Suzaku relationship is just how I like it - filled with many complicated feelings
Scum Villain Self Saving System - As someone who loves fanfiction, I think Scum Villain is a must read. MXTX really shows her understanding of fandoms in the story. Shen Yuan is an amazing main character, his chaotic thoughts and his lack of understanding of everything makes him really funny, and I love learning more about the characters around him as they become more real to him
Puss in Boots: The Last Wish - Just a really great movie. Great characters and villains, you don't need me to tell you why it's amazing
Infinity Train - Gone too soon. Therapy train that forces you to get better or it kills you, a great idea for a kids TV show! It honestly was a really good show that showed people going through realistic issues, and have them try to be better, though the protagonists are never perfect and can and will fail. I will never forgive HBO for cancelling it
Gravity Falls - Being in the Gravity Falls fandom while this show was coming out was really fun. I loved all the theories and seeing which ones came true. Great characters and villains, and I can't wait to see what Alex Hirsch comes out with next
Hannibal (TV Series) - A great rom-com with some delicious looking food. Also Will has 7 dogs, 10/10 show
The Mandalorian (First 2 Seasons) - Got me into Star Wars. Tired gun dad and little gremlin baby carry the show, and I love watching Mando slowly learn Star Wars lore
Iron Man - Favorite Marvel movie. It does so many things right, I don't care if the main villain makes their own iron Man suite and fights Tony using his own power, that wasn't an annoying Marvel trope yet, and Iron Man does that trope the best. Stane actually has a personal relationship with the main character so we can feel Tony's betrayal when he learns what Stane has done. Also it has Phil Coulson, so 10/10
My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom! - This show is just hilarious, I don't care if Catarina ends up with any of her love interests, I just love all of the characters (except Keith, I'm not a fan of 'I can't believe it's not incest' type ships)
Epithet Erased - Criminally underrated. The story takes place in a world where some people have specific words attached to their souls called epithets that give them power. The series has many amazing characters, but mostly follows Molly, a little girl whose epithet is 'dumb'. She is forced to grow up after losing her mother, and is made to do things 10 year olds shouldn't know how to do, like taxes. It's an amazing series that can be very heartwarming and funny, but also very tragic. Please watch!!!
And now my favorite characters, this time in order:
1. Shang Qinghua, Scum Villain Self Saving System - I love this pathetic hamster man. You can see parts of himself in the characters he wrote, and while his backstory isn't as tragic as most of the other characters, it is still very relatable and sad. He has really great chemistry with many of the characters, so he can be fun to write. He is my best friend and I would kill for him
2. Loki, Marvel - I'm a young adult woman on Tumblr, of course I love Loki. His characterization has kinda gone out the window since Thor Ragnarok, but he's still very charming and funny
3. Sesshomaru, Inuyasha (and only Inuyasha. Final Act made some questionable choices for the character, and I refuse to acknowledge Yasahime's existence, may it burn in hell) - I love the trope of redeeming a character by giving them a child. Sesshomaru's character growth throughout the story was fun to watch, and I love the fact that even though he has 1 arm, he doesn't hesitate to punch his brother in the face. The show ends without resolving anything, but at least it doesn't ruin the relationship he had with his father, gives his arm back in a stupid way, and changes his relationship with Rin in a creepy way. Nope, none of that happened
4. Yakushi Kabuto, Naruto - I loved this nerd since he was introduced, and the fact that he was given a tragic backstory near the end of Naruto just made me love him even more. He's a healer that uses his abilities to harm others, and I love that for him
5. Pythor P. Chumsworth, Ninjago - Best villain in the show. It doesn't always handle his character well, but his motivation for revenge is very tragic and I wished the show acknowledged it. His release with Lloyd was fun in ep. 4, and I wished they had a reconciliation. Still, he was fun throughout the show
6. Natural Harmonia Gropius, Pokemon - I love the idea of a character that can understand Pokemon, and he has a compelling arc in the games and anime. I love villains who do the wrong things for the right reasons, and also have good relationships with the people he's apposing
7. Mitth'raw'nuruodo, Star Wars (specifically when he's written by Timothy Zahn) - He's too smart for his own good and can be a little shit, but he also holds importance to the life around him, even though he's on the Empire's side. I love my morally grey characters
8. Discord, My Little Pony - I watched the entire show just because I liked one character, and it was worth it. I love my chaotic gods
9. Kumoko, So I'm a Spider, So What? - I love shows where we watch a protagonist get new abilities. Kumoko is very silly and chaotic, and while she seems nice, she wouldn't hesitate to commit atrocities
10. Lan Qiren, The Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation - I just think he's funny

10 characters 10 fandoms
rules: list your ten favorite characters from ten separate fandoms, then tag ten people! Heyyy @sheepishmastectomy thanks for tagging me :> I had a hard time deciding fandoms honestly!! I enjoy too much media…
Will Graham Relatable man! I too adjust my glasses constantly to avoid looking at people at work. Idk, he's just neat.
Sakura Haruno My girlll,,, my beloved. Kishimoto did you so dirty. I love how strong she is & how loyal + dedicated she is to her loved ones. I think as a character, she has so much potential!
Theon Greyjoy I honestly started out really hating him! He's not very likable at first… but once you get further in the series he quickly became a fav for me! I like how complicated his feelings are for basically every relationship in his life. Like 'I love you but I hate you. I want to be you & I'm so envious of everything you have' <- that's Theon
Genesis Rhapsodos Listen. I am here for the drama. This man, he knows drama. I would in fact argue, he is the drama.
Shang Qinghua Honestly can you get more real then him… writes a whole novel about a sadboy evil protag just to make a living, while being very gay and making his ideal husbando as a side character. Then getting trapped in that world, meeting said husbando and misinterpreting all of his actions… he's just so real… I love him.
Toad Specifically from x-men evolution. Do not ask me why, I do not know. I was just… like obsessed with him when I was a kid. Still holds a special place in my heart.
Kazuma Kuwabara Empathetic but putting on a tough boy attitude?? Secret softy?? The heart of the team? Loves cats as much as I do??? This man has my whole heart.
Hanataro Yamada I have just always adored him since I first saw him in bleach. I think it's because I find him very relatable. But also I appreciate his bravery and willingness to sacrifice himself to help save Rukia, because he admires her & knows she hasn't done anything wrong.
Spike Literally a teenage heart-throb… can't get over him, won't ever get over him. But to be real, I notice a lot of the vampires from Buffy pretty much immediately turn evil & deplorable… like you see with Jesse, Angelus, etc. but with Spike, he retained so much of his ability to love and care about other people. Like his first thought was to turn his chronically ill mother so they could hang out forever. Idk,,, he's just such a good villain because a lot of his motivations are completely understandable.
John Silver Specifically from treasure planet. I love how conflicted of a character he is. Torn between his desire to care for Jimbo but also his loyalty to his mission with his pirate crew. What a guy.
I don't really have 10 people to tag :b but anybody who want to do this should!! It's nice to reflect on why you love your faves

Did you read my fic? Did you like it? Do you have any suggestions for future chapters or feedback?
Reading it makes me REALLY want to know how the fuck did Shen Jiu and Yue Qingyuan make up. What in the world could make Yue Qingyuan finally man up and do more than apologize and make sad puppy eyes at Shen Jiu????
Feedback? There's that scene where Shen Yuan is solicitating suggestions on what he should bring back - just who are those old men, bakers, etc. and why would they be crowded alongside the peak lords when Shen Yuan is saying goodbye? Wouldn't such farewells normally be reserved for family/friends? Not random strangers just elbowing their way in to pip in suggestions?
I'm excited to see Shang Qinghua and Shen Yuan's relationship be explained, especially when factoring the whole age gap being more explicitly here and mama bear!Shen Jiu lurking behind, still being sus AF about Shang Qinghua' spy status.
Also can't wait to see Shen Yuan's personality being revealed more in depth. Seeing how Shen Yuan's reaction to the group of women dressed in only one layer and not being jealous (wishing that he could do the same BlueThursday style) is interesting and certainly different from canon!Shen Yuan. Did Shen Jiu beat in ancient China standards of modesty? Is this the influence of growing up in Cang Qiong since he was a babe instead of immediately manifesting an adult body with Adult Decision Making Powers to Make Wrong Decisions?
Would also love to see the other trade routes being explored and explained. Like how cinnamon, native to Sri Lanka (formerly Ceylon), the neighboring Malabar Coast of India, and Myanmar (Burma) made its way up to China and Cang Qiong. (Oh! Are there any demon traders? Or Shang Qinghua used Mobei Jun as a pack mule to get his much desired SPICES because no one is going to stop him from getting his American white girl styled pumpkin spiced latte!)
Oh! Luo Binghe being assumed to be mixed race between Roman and Ceres person - would the latter be assumed to be a slave woman? (What country is even Ceres?? My mind immediately jumped to Central Asia area for whatever reason.) I wonder how assuming such a background would influence Luo Binghe's mindset - would he be interested in Shen Yuan because he's exotic? Is he going to be concerned that Shen Yuan wouldn't fall in love outside of the Han(?) race? How are values and cultures going to clash between the two?
Oh damn, this got way too long. But to conclude, yes I enjoy it a lot! Not sure if you did a lot of research or you just know way too much about this... era? Genre? period? Ancient Rome stuff? in general, but it's fantastic. I have so many questions that I desperately need answered! Hope I didn't overwhelm you hehehe...

I'm sorry this feels real weird, but I love PINTWILF a lot, and the fact that you really expanded on SQH's role and everything. And I really loved that you added the other unnamed peaks and melded them in, everything that you wrote about the peaks actually really fleshed them out and their roles. So what did you name the three other peaks, and what are their roles? I think I only really understand that Xi Jiao is an animal/beast peak?
It’s not weird! I’m quite pleased with the sect logistics I’ve been writing in PINTWILF (from a humor angle, not a realism angle) and so I’m happy to talk about it. This is the order of peaks I’ve been using in PINTWILF:
(1) Qiong Ding Peak - Peak Lord: Yue Qingyuan (Canon)
Apparently they’re responsible for general affairs. I’ve always assumed they’re also responsible for dealing with other sects and politics, outside of peak-specific specialties where another peak lord has the authority to represent the sect.
(2) Qing Jing Peak - Peak Lord: Shen Qingqiu (Canon)
Peak of scholars and strategists. I assumed from there that they would also be responsible for a lot of library and archive-related duties, and that they would have some talisman and seal experts, etc., and that QJ and QD would be closely tied in many matters.
(3) Wan Jian Peak - Peak Lord: Wei Qingwei (Canon)
Peak of sword masters. I assumed that this meant both martial weapon specialists and sword smiths. I also assumed that this could be expanded to many kinds of metal work. Where WJ and AD meet is probably where a lot of non-weapon-related fabrication happens.
(4) An Ding Peak - Peak Lord: Shang Qinghua (Canon, minus #?)
I’ve seen people put An Ding anywhere from 4th to 12th. I’m not sure that An Ding has a canonical number. I prefer An Ding being 4th because of 1) how closely Qiong Ding and An Ding’s work would be tied and the importance of logistics, but 2) mainly how funny I think it is if SQH is only three murders away from being the sect leader.
SQH: “Wei Qingwei, you cannot die. The chances of Shen Qingqiu and Yue Qingyuan offing each other is too high for you to die on me. YOU’RE MY LAST LINE OF DEFENSE. DON’T MAKE ME BE SECT LEADER.”
(5) Xian Shu Peak - Peak Lord: Qi Qingqi (Canon)
It’s unclear what specialties XS has, probably because it only existed in PIDW as the “hot lady peak” (and MXTX never actually expanded it post-transmigration). It’s never come up, but I kind of dig the idea of XS doing some textiles work, anything from weaving fine fabrics to rope-making. (Who makes stuff like Immortal Binding Cables? It could be Xian Shu.)
(6) Xi Jiao Peak - Peak Lord: Tang Qingling (Non-Canon)
Yes, this is an animal/beast peak, because I’ve seen it brought up in a few fics, and I thought it would be funny for SY to be entranced by the idea, only for SQH to go, “Bro, I hope you have the stomach for blood and literal shit, because that’s where they butcher monsters for parts and collect crap for fertilizer.”
I also like the idea of Cang Qiong Mountain Sect having actual pipelines based on the specialties, which make it a very profitable and efficient sect. (Also, where are they getting their food? Do they have livestock? Do they buy it all from the surrounding towns and cities? Xi Jiao is me deciding that, yes, they have livestock.) Liu Qingge brings in a monster, it goes to Xi Jiao, then the parts go out again to Wan Jian, Qian Cao, Zui Xian, and others. to become armor, medicine, potions, etc.. Or maybe just to An Ding to sell.
(7) Bai Zhan Peak - Peak Lord: Liu Qingge (Canon)
They make people who fight good.
(8) Qian Cao Peak - Peak Lord: Mu Qingfang (Canon)
Trains healers and makes medicine. I assumed that they would grow as many of their own plants as they could and do a lot of plant breeding. Medicine could also be a great source of income for the sect (another reason why QC is one of Shang Qinghua’s favorite peaks).
(9) Ku Xing Peak - Peak Lord: Wang Qingjie (Canon, minus # and peak lord)
The peak name is canon, but I can’t remember if they have a canonical number and they don’t have a canonical peak lord. They’re all all-male peak with an ascetic lifestyle, living akin to monks.
I think I decided that they specialized in talismans and the creation of other spiritual tools, including and as well as ceramics. So, they work closely with many of the other peaks, but especially An Ding in supplying other peaks. I can’t remember why I decided this. I think maybe I decided that Ku Xing might have a philosophy that “to create purifying objects, the maker must also be free from impurities”? Hence the ascetic lifestyle.
I also thought it would be funny if Ku Xing and Qing Jing had a little bit of a rivalry going on. Shen Qingqiu makes very good talismans and Wang Qingjie is NOT angry about it (in the way of someone trying not to be angry).
(10) Zui Xian Peak - Peak Lord: Zhang Qingyan (Canon, minus # and peak lord)
Again, the peak name is canon, but I can’t remember if they have a canonical number and they don’t have a canonical peak lord. This is the peak that apparently specializes in alcohol.
So, I decided that they might as well be responsible for brewing other potions and solutions. Maybe they have people who specialize in alchemy. Qian Cao and Wan Jian and Xi Jiao (and nearly every other peak) probably do their own brewing of certain things, but it probably helps to have someone else dedicated to brewing on a large scale. Qian Cao grows the plants for a common medicine, then ships them to Zui Xian for mass-production, and the An Ding takes the result and sells it to all the nearby towns and cities.
Zui Xian probably saves and makes Cang Qiong so much money.
(11) Long Sheng Peak - Peak Lord: ??? (Non-Canon)
This is a newer invention and I haven’t come up with a peak lord yet, but they’re named after “The Dragon’s Backbone” and they specialize in plants and agriculture. This is my “this is how the sect gets fed” peak, alongside Xi Jiao.
Maybe they don’t grow all the sect’s food themselves, but they support and work with the surrounding towns and cities to make sure that the local harvests survive all of PIDW’s horrible plants and monsters. Sometimes you need cultivators who can tell you why this year’s harvest is haunted and what to do about it! Maybe Airplane invented the equivalent of magical locust swarms and didn’t think twice about it, so someone has to deal with that! Maybe they grow the materials for Xian Shu’s textiles work!
They work closely with Xi Jiao, Qian Cao, Zui Xian, and An Ding.
(12) ???
I haven’t actually named the last peak. I haven’t really seen a need to invent one yet and it’s kind of been a in-joke with myself. It’s fun to imagine people being like, “Cang Qiong has twelve peaks, right? What’s that last one called again? I can never remember what that last peak is called.”
Notes:
I imagine that most of the peaks’ specialties overlap in one way or another. An Ding, Zui Xian, Qian Cao, and Long Sheng each do some agricultural stuff, but Qian Cao and Long Sheng (especially LS) do most of it. And so on.
Cang Qiong Mountain Sect also doesn’t have to do everything in-house. Shang Qinghua also has to make orders from other sects and merchants for stuff that Cang Qiong either can’t make or don’t have the space/time to make. I just like the idea that CQ is so powerful partly because they’re so independent.
If I keep the details loose, I can get a lot of fun humor out of it.

AFG LGBTQA Bingo Masterpost To Be
For now I'm noting down ideas for every prompt but once the card's complete I'll either edit it into a masterpost or reblog as a production reference for a masterpost.
Tumblr media
Exclusion/Rejection
I'm absolutely going to pick a character from the Royal Tutor for this. Really amps up the social expectations part of things.
Bulge Kink
Kokoro
Trans Omega
Gareki is a FTM Omega. Part of why he's pissed at affection is the social standards behind it. YogixGareki (Karneval)
"I love you, I love him, you love me... Why can't we all love each other?"
I'm having trouble deciding on the media and characters for this but tamaki/haruhi/kyoya is trumping thus far.
Moyashimon is also a strong contender
Karaoke
The MCs take a break away from their cafe by having a karaoke date. Chatting At The Amber Teahouse.
Height Difference
Ed x someone (fma)
Himawari-san and forgethernamedammit (Miss Sunflower)
Moyashimon
Flags
could be red flags
could be flag flags
maybe nhs (mdzs) with pins and patches? he could design them?
Still In The Closet
Maybe Seiya from Tsurune? mayhaps?
Modern AU
blank space
Love Triangle
blank space
Crying Under The Rain
Chigusa has an emotional moment during a rainshower, overwhelmed by the easy prevalence of water and it's gentle fall. Rakan helps him through it. (Silver Diamond)
True Mates (a/b/o soulmates)
you could get some real drama using junjou romantica for this. tricky, but possible, and very dramatic.
Free Space
Celebrant AU - gay marriage becomes legalised and in order to avoid bankruptcy via wedding gifts the MC gets a cheap celebrancy license and offers free services to his friends as the present. I'll decide the MC and fandom later.
Sharing An Umbrella
Hikaru and Akira walking back from their personal go match. Hikaru gets nostalgic about Sai and Umbrellas.
"And They Were Roommates"
Shen Yuan and Shang Qinghua having a laugh over heir partners being temporary (unwilling roommates). Bingmei just wants t know what's so funny. (SVSSS)
Strap On
That sex toy designer character I like from that manga I like (gonna need to take a scroll through my faves) makes a secondary penis strap-on and torments his boyfriend with it.
Showing Love Without Words
Shen Yuan wants to give Binghe all the love he can but can't bring himself to say 'i love you'. So instead he does sneak acts of service. Filling the kitchen with his favourite ingredients, using his favourite incense, sneaking cultivation supplies into his qiankun pouch, keeping books to Binghes interests on the shelf, etc. (SVSSS)
Dysphoria
Wandering Son (more attention on this story please, it's so good)
Danny Phantom (the fan theorists have a point)
Carry In Arms
Monochrome factor,(we need more cute Akira), Shirogane can carry him. could include a funny omake since Shirogane is invisible, would be very odd for a random bystander.
Roommates AU
Soma and (was is Takumi? the older italian brother) from food wars
"Nothing will stop me from loving you."
Megumi x Mikoto from Princess Princess sounds like an awesome idea.
Bar Fight
Takahiro gets into a drunken drawl with a homophobic asshole. Akihiko bails him out, very happy that Takhiro is slowly coming to accept his relationship with Misaki, if only very drunkenly begrudgingly. (Junjou Romantica)
Royalty AU
Maybe a Harmony AU, if i can work out how
Non-Binary Coming Out
Aoi officially comes put as a bi NB (he/they) after reaching high school. They come out to their friends and family (their immediate family does not take it well, their aunts take a little convincing but get there, 2 MCs are chill and supportive). Aoi picks a more open high school to live freely, further away from his previous schoolmates for a new start. Aoi, after some indecision, uses flags to come out on their blog page while announcing a hiatus because they want to work on their technical skills, personal growth, school work, maid occupation and develop a new blog image for the new stage he's at.
The flag bit may or may not be used as the upper flag prompt in a chaptered fic. We'll see how it goes. This is for Kaichou wa Maid-sama.
Alpha With Two Omegas
I'll be using the three main characters from Daites Ryou Koubouki (Offense and Defense in Daites) for the story since they have an interesting canon polyamorous dynamic. I haven't decided who to make the Alpha just yet. Koscise would be fun with two temperamental omega, but Mathesa honestly just makes more sense given their political relationships. We'll see.

Shen Qingqiu/Luo Binghe?
Cute
Oddly not super captivating of my interest, although in general svsss is my favorite mxtx thing (I haven't read tgcf yet) just because it's the novel that introduced me to a LOT of genre tropes and archetypes even as it presented it as satire and broke a lot down later. Like luo binghe is why I understand what a black lotus protagonist initially is, is why later when I read 2ha I got what mo rans archetype is (or wu tong in love and redemption who also ends up an interesting look at that type). Shen qingqiu is why I get what a scum villian is, and the first time I saw some stuff in the genre. Without svsss I would've been way more confused later with romance of tiger and rose, eternal love etc, and would've gotten much less enjoyment about seeing how things get broken and flipped in love and redemption and some other stuff. So I think they're cute as a couple and honestly can't imagine them ending up with anyone else, to me bingqiu feel more like people who just inevitably were going to end up together and click than some grand romance? Which means I love them but also don't think of them much beyond their own story as its told.
I'm actually more interested in black lotus binghe from original story interacting with Shen Yuan (or shen yuans version of shen qingqiu) because that is the version of binghe that got no love and support and grew up much harder emotionally and its interesting to see him still capable of growth if a kinder person is interacting (which I can only find in fanfic ToT it's no wonder 2ha is one of my fave stories since mo rans multiple lives Allow that kind of exploration somewhat since there's Evil Emperor Mo Ran and Mo Ran who's more aware he's loved/cared for). But that's a real specific dynamic I'm looking for, and even less does a fic also have shen yuans binghe, so one day ill look for fics again but I know it's niche lol
The ship I really love to pieces is Shang qinghua/mobei jun just cause the writer of a novel/his fave is a dynamic I find hilarious and end up wanting to read more of! It's also what drew me to Romance of Tiger and Rose so much (although that show is actual the heroine in the villain so she's both shen qingqiu and Shang qinghuas character sort of). The actual novel writer airplane interacting with his own characters is so funny to me and getting overwhelmed by his own world that's out of his control, along with him wanting to care for these people He Made. (Whereas I love shen yuan too Especially cause hes stuck as a villain which is HILARIOUS its like if Liu ge in Love and Redemption was in Yuan Langs body lol, but also its like he's just a novel criqituer/reader in a book, he doesn't have the same OH MY God this is all MY fault oops that airplanes got)
Tldr love the concept of svsss and how many tropes and stuff I picked up from This lol (along with getting a taste for seeing them flipped and changed), but it's also a story I mostly just like as it is. It's main couple make sense to me and for the characters I'm just not over the moon needing more of them either
