Pairings: Aegon II Targaryen x Targaryen!Reader.
Warnings: There's no Aegon in the prologue. It's just world/context building, I suppose you don’t have to read it if you don’t want to lmao. Spelling/grammar errors. Inconsitent tenses.
Summary: As a heavy blown is dealt to Lord Corlys Velaryon leaving him incapacitated, you realise you will have to return to King's Landing for the first time in five years when your nephew's position as heir to Driftmark is called into question.
Word Count: 2.8k+.
Masterlist.
The ground beneath your feet sways gently, a rhythmic to and fro accompanying your every step as you boarded the legendary Sea Snake with three of your own commanders - Eadric, Selyse and Trystane.
The walk to the captain’s quarters of the Sea Snake is short; Velaryon guards standing at attention as you pass them, led by Velaryon captain and acting admiral, Luceon.
You wrinkle your nose in distaste at him, Luceon whom you frequently butted heads with. The thought, however, is quickly banished when you enter the room- breath catching in your throat.
The sight unsettles you, hands flexing and releasing as you looked upon the comatose Lord Corlys Velaryon - if you didn’t know better, you would've thought him dead.
The room is suspended in silence, tension thick in the air as they all wait with bated breath for you to cut it but, instead, out of habit, your gaze passes quickly over the occupants of the room.
The ship maester, four Velaryon knights, Luceon and one other you don’t know but had heard about - all present in the room and several more Velaryon men aboard the ship and out of your sight.
Your shoulders pull tensely, hand inconspicuously coming to rest on the pommel of your longsword with a practiced ease that alerts no one.
You may have been allied and fought side-by-side with these very men for over two years but, it was with Lord Corlys at the helm, who at present was incapacitated and you were severely outnumbered - something your commanders had picked up on as well as they too shifted their stances discreetly, ready to draw at the slightest threat.
“How did this come to pass?” you question, gaze drawing back to Luceon. “I will have answers.”
While it was true that you were forced to leave the Stepstones earlier than you would have liked, it did not change the fact that the Stepstones had already been won when you did.
“A final ambush by the Triarchy, Princess,” the solemn man tells you. “A ship made to look as if it were abandoned.”
You almost laugh in disbelief, head shaking as the information renders you more confused than you previously were that the Sea Snake would find himself in such a predicament.
“Six years of what has felt like an interminable war and finally, Lord Corlys secures victory only to be felled by what should have been an obvious trap laid by our enemies.”
A rebuttal is on the tip of Luceon’s tongue but, you’re quicker than he is.
“I do not wish to hear of what incompetencies led Lord Corlys to pursue such a folly. Not when there are more urgent matters at hand now, such is the current state of him,” you dismiss Luceon and turn to the maester.
“What of Lord Corlys’s health?”
The maester steps forward with a deep bow before he answers.
“Lord Corlys was severely wounded by the dagger of a Corsair before being thrown overboard. He has lost much blood and now battles a blood fever that burns from within.”
Your stomach drops at the mention of blood fever. You had heard of the dreaded fever before. How it had made victims of even the strongest of men, delivering them swiftly to the Stranger’s door.
“And what of his prognosis?” you ask, fearful.
The maester hesitates, his head dropping and you’re not sure you want to hear what he has to say.
“I… cannot say, Princess. We have done all that we can. We can only pray now to the Seven, that the fever breaks before the Stranger comes.”
Uneasiness consumes your being as you cast an anxious glance at your uncle through marriage; his life now hanging in the balance as he teetered the fine line between life and death.
The thought does not dwell for long however, as a new uneasiness settles within you in the form of Vaemond Velaryon should the Stranger come for Corlys.
Skin pulling impossibly tight around your knuckles, you had no doubt that he would set his sights on Driftmark, likely petitioning the succession if he had reason to believe his brother was on death’s door.
A petition you had no doubt would be entertained by the Queen Consort and her Lord- Hand father who now sat the Iron Throne more often than that of your own King-father from what you had heard.
You would need to buy yourself time, try to stop the news from reaching Vaemond if word hadn’t already been sent.
“Who else knows of Lord Corlys’s current state?”
“I dispatched a raven to Driftmark on the morrow. Princess Rhaenys will expect our arrival in three, at most four days.”
You let out a frustrated breath. Vaemond would no doubt hear of the news, the leech opting to remain on Driftmark while the rest of his house warred.
“And what of the Triarchy following their ambush?”
Luceon steps forward.
“The ambush was but a last ditch effort from the Triarchy to win one last victory, it, however, amounted to nothing.”
“Amounted to nothing?” you bark a hysterical laugh. “Lord Corlys lays comatose before you and you speak of this attack amounting to nothing? We will be cut at our knees if he does not wake.”
Luceon’s eye twitches and you note the way the acting admiral’s nose flares as you insult him but he reigns his temper.
“I meant no offense, Princess. While I deeply regret the suffering Lord Corlys must now endure, it does not change that we have ensured the Triarchy have been put down. If you will, Princess-” he gestures to the maps haphazardly laid across a table on the opposite end of the room.
“Once we had routed the Triarchy - shortly after your departure but, prior to the ambush - my Lord Corlys had sent word for more ships and men to ensure complete control of the Stepstones. In a week or so, the territory will be fully garrisoned and a total blockade on the shipping lanes will be in place.”
Your gaze meets the young admiral with a nod.
“Very good,” you acknowledge with an apologetic smile. “We must ensure the fortification of the Stepstones. If Lord Corlys falls, it cannot be in vain. I will also send for more of mine own men and ships to join the blockade. They are stationed far closer than that of the Velaryon fleet and can be there in the next two days, maybe less. They will ensure the territory is garrisoned until the Velaryon fleet arrives.”
“Thank you, Princess,” he offers a genuine smile. “We shall all sleep better for it. For now, however, we shall make haste for Driftmark and set sail at dawn.”
Still pouring over the maps, you offer him a curt, “no.”
“No?”
“No,” you straighten your back, both hands now resting on the pommel. “Lord Corlys must remain here until his fever breaks.”
“But, Princess-”
“Our own voyage to Evenfall was a treacherous one,” you explain. “The journey is far too dangerous and the Sea Snake has taken considerable damage. A journey such as the one you suggest will be too long in Lord Corlys’s current state, lest we wish to hasten his meeting with the Stranger.”
“Not to mention,” you continue with a shaky breath. “If Lord Corlys’s current state were to turn while at sea, the ship maester may not have what is needed to tend to him. Should the Sea Snake set sail for Driftmark, it should be only after either Lord Corlys’s fever has broken or after his death. I pray it is not the latter.”
Luceon holds your gaze for a moment as he contemplates your words before agreeing with your position.
“Very well,” you nod to all in the room. “We will see ourselves out.”
You pause however, turning to the unknown man seated in the corner.
“I hear you are the hero who pulled Lord Corlys from the sea,” you address him. “Your name sailor?”
“I am called Alyn, Princess,” he bows his head. “I am, however, no hero.”
You breathe a small laugh and step closer to him, curious hand touching at the familiar silvery locks of his hair as you smile at him with a knowing look.
“How very modest of you but, I assure, if Lord Corlys was not indebted to you before, he is now.”
-
You were right.
Vaemond Velaryon was petitioning the succession of Driftmark. You shouldn’t have been surprised. You predicted it. Yet there was still a small part of you that was. More so, because of how quick the news came- just shy of a day to be exact.
Aboard your own capital ship, you sit around the table with your commanders. The four of you going back and forth, planning your next moves and altering plans accordingly until you're satisfied.
“So, that’s settled then,” you run over the plan a final time. “Trystane you will remain here with fifty men and keep eyes on the Sea Snake and for any movements they might make.”
“Aye,” the curly-maned man nods.
“Selyse, you will move forward with joining Sybelle to lead the bulk of the fleet to the stepstones,” you address the raven-haired beauty. “A raven had already been sent to her to set sail at the earliest convenience and only under Velaryon colours as we have been this entire time.”
You tap your finger on a point of the map.
“Remember, patrol only until the rest of the Velaryon fleet arrives. Once they do, you will sail to Driftmark and anchor there until I send word. Let the men rest, let them recuperate and ensure what damages can be, are fixed but, remember we must not bring unwanted attention to ourselves. The rest of the fleet will remain where they are with Ajax.”
“Understood, Princess.”
“Very well,” you smile grimly. “Trystane, Selyse, set the patrols and get some rest. You in particular, Selyse, you hoist sail soon and have a long few days ahead of you.”
Both commanders stand and bow their heads as you bid them farewell. Once the door closes behind them, you slump in your chair. Your comfort however, does not last long when a knock soon sounds at your door.
“Enter,” you call with a sigh.
It is your own maester, Olyvar, who peers around the now ajar door and you beckon him in with a welcome hand.
“Apologies, Princess,” the graying man shuffles in with two parchments in hand. “I know the hour is busy but I bear news that I thought you would prefer soon rather than late.”
“There is no need for an apology, Olyvar, I intended to come see you shortly. Please sit,” you gesture at the chair beside you. “What news do you bring?”
He holds out the first parchment, it’s thick, several pages sealed together.
“From Winterfell.”
You straighten your back, excitement coursing through you as you eagerly reach for it.
“News from Lord Cregan?”
“Aye.”
You hastily break the seal, eagerly reading the familiar scroll of your old friend and letting out a small laugh at the news he sent, Olyvar and Eadric sharing a smile at your joy.
“You must read this,” you hand one of the papers to Eadric. “You as well, Olyvar.”
A gruff laugh is shortly followed and Eadric passes it to Olyvar whose own belly laugh soon fills your quarters.
The smile on your face soon falters however, as a mournful feeling spreads through you and dampens your mood. Olyvar and Eadric feel the shift immediately as silence blankets the room; Olyvar placing a comforting hand atop yours, your other hand rubbing at your chest as you try not to think of your absence.
You offer a weak smile and change the subject, “what other news do you bring?”
Olyvar hesitates as he hands the other folded piece of parchment to you, the broken seal sloppily stamped with your family’s sigil stares back at you.
“It appears to have been sent at least three moons past and has since passed through several hands before it reached here. The seal was unbroken of course on arrival but, I did as you instructed.”
Your heart skips a beat, hands and cheeks suddenly feeling warm as a different type of ache settles in your chest.
“He still writes?”
“Yes, Princess. Still not very well, I must confess. The ink still runs with water stains and the words are not always legible but he still writes.”
You inhale sharply.
You were sure that his previous letter would be the last. Although, you thought every previous letter would be the last and yet, it never was.
You turn the parchment over in your hands but don’t open it.
“What of its contents?”
“The same as always. Wondering of your whereabouts, when you will come back home and… that he still wai-”
“Thank you, Maester Olyvar,” you cut him off before he finishes and hand the parchment back to him unread. “Now, I have other business I need you to attend to.”
Doling out the several messages you need him to send as soon as possible, you quickly dismiss him with a grateful but tense smile. Slumping once again when the door closes behind him.
“I suppose he will not need to wonder much longer of your absence,” Eadric comments across from you.
“I suppose not,” you agree.
“You do not have to go to King’s Landing if you do not wish to. Princess Rhaenys and Princess Rhaenyra will both be there to vouch for Prince Lucerys.”
“Yes…” you stand and pour yourself a cup of wine. “But, Rhaenyra and Rhaenys have both been far away from court for as long- longer, than I have and you know just as well as I do that it might not be my King-father who will preside over this petition.”
“Princess, you have just said so yourself that you have been away from court for almost as long as they have.”
“Yes but, we have spent the past two years side-by-side with Lord Corlys. Something only my King-father knows. For Lucerys, I must appeal to him, to the court and let it be known that Lord Corlys reaffirmed several times that Lucerys is to be his heir…” you absentmindedly toy with the thin brass whistle hanging from your neck as you gulp down the red liquid. “What good is a Lord’s word over his own keep if it is so easily disregarded by disgruntled and greedy family members?”
“Apologies, Princess, I spoke out of turn.”
Hand tightening around the whistle, you wave the apology off and tell him there's no need for it.
“If it is of any comfort, Deimos is well, Princess. He was sighted nesting on an island not far from here.”
“Hm?”
Eadric nods at the whistle you anxiously pull at- the whistle you had trained Deimos to respond to given your frequent movings.
“It is not Deimos who worries me,” you place the goblet down and take a shaky breath. “It's returning home, returning to my family… it will disarm me in a way that I have not been in five years...”
You pause for a moment, trying to find your words as you toy anxiously now with your fingers. Eadric looks at you sympathetically, all too aware of your struggles with them.
“In truth, I am afraid, Ser Eadric. I do not know what has become of my family, especially my half-siblings and step-mother. None know that I am coming and given the… nature of how I left, I do not know how they will receive me. In the Free Cities, I could build a wall of protection, quite literally, around me but, in King’s Landing? I am vulnerable.”
Not just to your family but, to matters of the heart but, you don’t tell Ser Eadric that. You don’t need to. He already knows.
Ser Eadric and Deimos were all that you left your home with and both still remained at your side five years later. And not only did Ser Eadric fulfill his role as your appointed Kingsguard and sworn sword but he had also filled the parent-shaped hole that was left in your life when you left Westeros.
“And that is why I am there for you, Princess,” the aging man reassures you with a warm smile that settles your nerves.
Putting the subject to rest, you instruct Eadric to ready his ship, “Ensure you have all that you need for the Dragon’s Trident to sail for King’s Landing at first light.”
“You do not wish to take your own ship? I do believe the journey would be of more comfort to you if you did.”
“It would but, I suspect my King-father will not appreciate The King’s Deceit anchoring at his port,” you snort a laugh. “And besides, the owings of comfort are of no consequence to me. I will fly to King’s Landing. I do believe it’s time I also took Deimos home. He has not been around other dragons since we left all those years ago.”

So... I know I'm late...
But yea! I said I was coming back with some stickers and I kept my word! I would've hoped that I could've completed the sheet in like a day but as you can see...that didn't work out
I know I've been a bit MIA lately but burnout sucks. I do have a lot of WIPS I really want to work on but again, it seems that the ProcrastiNation hath struck my feeble mortal brain again.
But anyways:
I headcanon Aroace Mei, just a personal headcanon (disagree if you like) I also like lesbian Mei but thought I'd give some aroace appreciation
Silktea was only given 1 episode but OH BOY did it fuel our wild shipping habits. And I jumped on the bandwagon. It's a reference to that scene in She-Ra where Scorpia tells Catra she 'didn't want to do this' then wraps kitty up in the blankey and cradles her like a wee baby. And Sandy would do that for any friend, I will die on this hill
Saw a fanart where Mk had a pig nose themed pacifier and I just yoinked that idea. The pig hoodie and the pacifier seems like something Tang would do for Pigsy (also to get away with free noodles cause who can say no to that face?~)
Mac showing Wukong the lantern. What can I say, mans' fascinated by them pretty lights. Though our little performer's eyes seem to be straying from the show (^u ')
I know many people have issues with shipping with Nezha and such and I know the two had a rough history but y'know what fans do; they love to make the people who kill each other soulmates (platonic, romantic or otherwise) Even if it wasn't romantic, I still love the idea of them being buddies and just chilling, the danger noodle prince and the angy prince snuggle and watch a movie (mainly from Nezha 2019 but I also saw New Gods and can I just say, I want those two twinks to bicker then kiss awkwardly and I want Yun Xiang to BEAT. HIS. ASS) but in case anyone asks, I do perceive Nezha to be a consenting adult in general outside shipping drama and if the two are adults, it does make my heart squeal when I see these two hold hands and whatnot
HOW COULD I EVER FORGET MY SPICYBOIS, inspired by that one Ponyo kiss scene. I was actually gonna make a bigger piece but then I saw someone do it already in a much better fashion than I ever could and I just gave up on the idea but Ig here, its just like the two cakes mentality and I gave it a go. Hope I could do the concept justice
Have spider queen or scorpion queen ever interacted before? No. But they are both queens and I believe Spider Queen's confidence could rub off on Scorpion Queen and she'd appreciate the company of Spider Queen's children henchmen. Also she give yummy food so lesbian venomqueens for the win
Redraw of that moment with Peng and Azure. I normally detest that bird but these two do get some gears grinding and whatever anyone says. Neither of those two are straight. I'll tell ya that.
Toxicinsanity is another rarepair that had like 1 sec screen time. I don't think they'd ever work out in canon and had virtually no chemistry. I still love all the fluffy ship content I can find of them though and if it ever were to happen. I think the mayor would scare the sh!t out of Syntax
Let's get at least one hetero couple here, Chang'e and Hou'Yi are a couple of favorites ngl, I took most of their outfits from Over the moon cause both of them looked stunning, Chang'e especially. I've seen people ship mah girl with other people and while I do agree it's healthy to move on, in my heart she will always long for Hou'Yi
Also irl, on valentines, my mum took us out for lunch, she treated us to bubble tea and donuts. We walked home so I waited to drink mah drink in my room while I drew and I accidentally finished it all... I'm so sorry mum
f*ck I forgot ironbull. Uhh....I'll draw something later, rn I need to go to bed before I get yelled at...
click pic for less sh!ty quality!

i think it's probably somewhat clear that i see isolde and kakania as lesbians (seems to be a common hc anyway) but i think i want to explore how that'd fit into their respective characterizations, not necessarily only from a shipping standpoint. note that this does get into headcanon territory, still i try to keep it as in-character as i can
i think kakania would actually be pretty open about it. in the 1910s?? i mean sure, she's already a controversy as she is ... an arcanist, an uncertified psychiatrist with unconventional methods, an outspoken member of society who stirs up public opinion. might as well give herself one more reason to be a subject of controversy. those who are set on hating her probably have no intention of changing that, so hey, might as well authentically be herself in every possible way including this. among those who have a more positive opinion about her, i do think this would make her somewhat of an icon. she draws other members of the community toward her. she lets them know that she is there for them and will fight for them. that they can turn to her and she will not scrutinize them for it. she'd tell them, no, there is nothing wrong with being this way. it isn't something you need to be "cured" from
in line with this, i think it would make sense for the "circle" to be a queer safe space. in fact, i like to think theophil himself could've been bi and thus would've accepted his sister's sexuality. but due to her own inhibitions (which i will touch upon later) i don't think isolde would ever have told him.
meanwhile for isolde ... i think it's more complicated. having a sexuality outside of the norm would be a deviation from the socially acceptable definition of the "perfect noble" she tries to be. so even if she were to ever consider it, she would simply end up pushing those thoughts away. no, not a chance. this shouldn't bother her at all. she's supposed to be perfect, yet she already has enough problems in her life as a member of the dittarsdorf family. considering the possibility of herself being anything but straight would lead to more problems, wouldn't it? and that's the last thing she needs. nonetheless she's ... never been attracted to a man either. but she tries not to think too much of it. maybe she just needs to wait it out. or so she tells herself
now to piece it all together ... i do really like the idea of kakania being her ... awakening. in fact i think it would make a lot of sense for her story, what with kakania being the metaphorical key to the doors that have always surrounded and confined isolde ... so hear me out. when isolde started associating with her and the circle she realized that it felt far less suffocating than ... pretty much any other aspect of her life. it's like a breath of fresh air. kakania in particular would fascinate isolde, in a way that makes isolde question things about herself. perhaps she even comes close to having a realization. but again, isolde remembers who she needs to be, and stops herself short.
eventually though, she would learn what kind of person kakania is, and what she believes in and fights for. this only deepens isolde's admiration further and she finally comes to a point of acceptance about her feelings. alright. i can accept this realization now. she no longer pushes it to the back of her mind. there's still a bit of repression and shame left in there but meeting someone who has not only awakened her, but also wouldn't judge her for it, has changed something within her entirely. the feelings overflow and she can deny it no longer. but again, at the end of the day she still needs to be perfect and socially acceptable. she can't just ... exist as freely as kakania does. but it's alright, isolde has feigned compliance for so long regardless of however difficult it might be. putting up with expectations has been a regular part of her life. so there it is, something authentic about this actor that she can't show to anyone else because it doesn't fit the part that she's supposed to play. kakania is allowed to know though, of course she is. it can just be their little secret. and one way or another, she'll figure out how isolde feels toward her. surely kakania would be quite honored to be on the receiving end of the affection of such a wonderful lady. as long as this affection doesn't eventually turn into a catalyst for destruction, right ...
#reverse 1999#r1999#kakania#isolde#isokania#ermmmmmmmmmmmm. yeah guys here's the Lesbian Essay alright#at this point i'm considering writing fic#even though i feel like plot isn't exactly my strong suit#nonetheless if you read through this entire word salad. i hope you enjoyed it#and i hope it makes Sense#i want to sort out more of my thoughts#i don't play when it comes to hyperfixation. i will dissect them. i will understand them#adding this to the new tag#lesbian kakania agenda

There was a bkdk poll asking us how we thought bkdk's relationship would end. I typed a paragraph response, but tumblr won't let me reblog my response or that post in general, so I will make a separate post lol.
But to answer @ammy246's question, I would've answered the other option.
While I still feel like the ending is still anyone's game, I do believe that it's unlikely that hori will end it like naruto. It seems like an izch ending is unlikely due to how the ship has been treated for the few years. Yeah, hori may pull something like that, but I honestly believe he's not going to do it. It's been too long since izch has even gotten a moment and hori knows that. This is the same author that recommends romance manga and apparently is a fan of unrequited love. This is also the same author that drew that 2021 art of the two falling in the sky and said it's what could've happened IF he had decided to developed the two more (he apparently said to pay attention to what was happening in the drawing; falling = bad omen; also reference to spirited away where the two characters separated).
We are at the point where a bkdk implied ending is not far-fetched. It's not something that can only exist in fanon anymore. Bkdk's relationship has seriously developed to the point where dudebros and non-MHA fans who are caught up (whether anime or manga) can't deny that the relationship is close. Not to mention how the ship has been promoted for the last couple of weeks (Bakugou's JP VA promoting a BL that has BKDK undertones, the little promo panel of midoriya and bakugou talking about opening an agency together, how CD dramas and those games have been recently, the 2024 Spring GIGA cover, Shonen jump's tiktok promoting the GIGA cover, Hori telling Bones the ending and now suddenly Bones now cares about BKDK and is adding more scenes about them compared to how they were with izch). It really does feel like these people are doing a soft launch of the ship.
However, because I feel like (IMO), that I haven't seen enough in the manga, I still feel like we're going to get an open ending. No ships. But I do believe that we will get a hand hold soon in the manga, as well as a deep conversation that will bring katsuki and izuku even closer than before. The question is, will hori go even further and make it romantic. Atm, I don't think we will get a kiss or a love confession, but I do believe that we are at the point where we may be lucky and get a crepe date at the end. I also do believe that we may get the ending where the two open an agency together.

Living behind my own illusion:
[IDs: A short The Owl House fancomic centered around Gus, read from left to right.
1) Hunter is seen in the kitchen, wearing a light yellow apron. He looks behind him and requests, "Hey Gus, will you get me the "paring" knife?". Hunter's hair is slightly grown out but it's before he cuts his hair in Thanks to Them.
2) Gus, who has been washing the dishes with his magic, replies, "Oh, sure thing!". In the next panel, he's bending to the side to get the knife.
3) We see Gus from behind, looking inside a drawer. He puts away the dishes. Then, he seems to have found it, however we don't see the knife.
4) Smiling, Gus offers the still not exposed knife to Hunter. "Here you go, Hun-", only for him to open his eyes and see flames around him, the background darkening as well. He completes, "... ter?"
5) Gus' body is the one framed, his left hand holding the paring knife. We see the top of someone's head, a familiar blond hair with the one rebellious hair strand. This other person says, "I know you're still in there."
6) A close-up of Gus' mouth, sweat drops rolling down his face.
7) A shaking, white-skinned hand holding another knife. The other person begs, "Please..."
8) Caleb is in the middle of the flames, terrified. He's trying to calm Gus down instead of fighting back, since he doesn't point the knife at the boy. Caleb has dark bags under his eyes, similar to Hunter's. He pleads, "Don't do this, Philip."
9) As Gus watches the scene, a couple voices can be heard, represented by each color:
Willow (green): "... Gus?"
Luz (purple): "Are you okay?"
Amity (pink): "Can you hear us?"
Vee (dark green cyan): "What's wrong, Gus?"
10) A voice stands out to Gus, in brown (supposedly Camila): "... Why are his eyes blue?", only the last word colored blue. However, instead of Gus, we see Monster Belos' glowing blue eyes. /End ID]
(I apologize for the format here, Tumblr hates me)
Anyway, I've been writing this idea but I thought drawing it would've been cool. I also missed drawing comics in this format :)
I really wish we could've seen something like this on the show. I know for a fact that Gus would've been horrified by Belos' memories, one because he's the youngest of the group, and two, imagine him seeing Hunter dying over and over again. And yet we never actually see Gus and Hunter talking properly.
Hopefully I'll finish the fic soon, but for now have this little thingy. I hope Gus looks okay, I'll try to draw him more often
DO NOT REPOST WITHOUT PERMISSION!
Don't tag as ship.

being a kid obsessed with dinosaurs while being raised christian fundamentalist (i think?) made for some very interesting moments.
books would say that dinosaurs lived hundreds of millions of years ago. my parents would say the earth was created 6000 years ago. so for a while, i thought dinosaurs were fake like dragons. and for a long while after that, i never paid attention to the estimated years because they were all clearly false.
books would say that dinosaurs evolved over their millions of years of existence, at some point some developed feathers, and that birds probably came from dinosaurs. the pastors and sunday school teachers would say that evolution wasn't real and that god created the birds as they are. i was confused and disappointed, because evolution made a lot of sense and sounded really cool to boot.
documentaries would show fossil sites and talk about how the rock can be dated. one time, i heard that god left dinosaur fossils for us to find as enrichment. another time, i was told that satan planted the fossils to sow doubt among god's followers. i thought it odd that some people thought god would want to trick his people with such an elaborate hoax.
years later, i heard someone say that god created the universe to look like it had always existed even though it was created relatively recently, and that's why the light from stars further than 6,000 light years have already reached us. i was reminded of the explanation of god putting apparently millions of years old fossils in the ground.
more recently (within the past decade and therefore i was no longer a kid nor a christian), i've heard the people who raised me to believe the things above reciting new "facts" that people have since come up with to explain away more recent scientific discoveries and conclusions. a few years ago, my grandmother had someone speak at her church, and afterwards she bought some of the books they were selling and shipped them to me. whereas twenty years ago, she'd have told me dinosaurs couldn't have existed, now she had sent me books about how actually dinosaurs were created 6000 years ago along with humans and all the other animals. these "facts" were corroborated by some other relatives next time i shared a meal with them.
they can't even keep their false facts straight because the old stories don't make sense anymore, even though the new stories aren't any better!
and i keep coming back to my early interest in dinosaurs.
the one that my mom was reluctant to allow me to pursue because of the perceived falseness of their existence. the one that i felt i had to carefully regulate what facts i expressed interest in lest my mom decide that dinosaurs were banned from being talked about the way pokemon was. and i was so so deliberate to pepper in the occasional qualifiers like "even though the bible says that's not possible, 150 millions years is a long time ago!" or "i know they're not actually going to turn into birds and this is just a drawing, but this one with the feathers does really look like it could become a bird someday."
thank god for dinosaurs (haha), because im not sure how long i would've been mired in such a closed-minded worldview otherwise. even though satan didn't sow the fossils in the earth, they did cause me to doubt the veracity of what i was taught.
#my mom was both relieved and further vexed when my interest shifted from dinosaurs to dragons. on one hand dragons are much more-#obviously fictional. but on the other hand dragons are often associated with magic. and even fictional magic is Very Dangerous-#cuz it can poison the mind or let demons in or whatever the current pastor of the current church we attended would explain.#rambling#religious bullshit#idk. ive just been mulling this over recently.#long post#i think i was raised generally christian fundamentalist but we moved often enough that we attended multiple denominations thru my childhood#so what was fact in one church wasn't always consistent for the next. so i don't know what 'category' within christianity i was in

I've been thinking of the ships(Oc X Canon) I draw with Will recently so I decided to ramble the dynamics I like to use them in so here they are
Will X Azul
They have a MASIVE CRUSH in each other, the favoritsm is obvious for those who know both, however due to their own low self-esteem it's fated to never be
Full of almost and what ifs, of longing and cringe of first crush(not love, crush, a curiosity of what could be if it became love)
It came from their fight in chapter 3 in Azuls overblot, Will is rarely angry and that was the first time they truly felt devious enough to crush someone dreams and it felt good , scarily good to see Azul lose himself to despair and overblot, their plan did that, so much so that it scare them, the talk with Azul after was for Will finaly seeing and accepting the people of this strange new world has permanent humans with ambitions of their own and they are stuck here, so why not try to conect?
For Azul it was that talk and later assimilating Leona's revelation that that plan was Will's, growing a respect for the magicless stranger, he did misunderstood their talk for pity but when Will got to work at mostro lodge is when Azul finaly notices the true meaning of that talk. Their devious side is intriguing and when being an ally is mesmerizing what plans togheter they can make and it excites Azul to find someone calculating willing to share this freaky mindset against opponents with him
And yet due to unexperience both just don't match enough, Azul is too focus on his pursuit for a career and Will is too closed off to offer constant push to Azul's pull, not enough gut nor empaty to steer the Cecelia into a break for they are too preoccupied with their own spiral of thought and apathy
Malleus X Will
In another world? They would've been soulmates
But in this one? Too uncertainty to truly move forward. Will is Malleus first friend outside of diasomnia family, and does not open up enough to identify that he has a crush on the magicless human, Will also knows this and rationalized anything mildly romantic to happen as being Malleus not used to friendship, and they are right.
But there's this magnet around them both, Will likes Malleus, they match eachothers mean streaks and posture, Malleus ego and certainty of himself gives Will a bust in confidence bc not once do they fell a doubt of why they both get along, Will thinks Malleus easily impressed by only treating him as a normal person without the formalities, as does Malleus of Will when he extends his presence and companionship and it makes the little human bean with a pleasant aura every time
With little training Will could be a good consort, and with enough humbling/time Malleus could see them as more than a "curious child of man", does that has anything to do with part of Will soul/insp being Diablo? Yes.
Idia X Will
Friends with benefits tipe of deal.
Ortho has joined the first year gang ergo he hangs out with the gang more, and Will is kinda distant of them, so the Droid sees a pattern him and his brother have in Will and Grim and thinks maybe he could kill two birds with one stone
Forcing the two to interact was easier than expected and once they click there is no stopping, they match eachothers freak, and in more calm moments with the right mood, their self-esteem so low it cancels the others out enough for the "if not now/not with you then probably never lmao"
First everything for both, and since both know what the other has curiosity about they arr very open to exploring. The only reason both don't move to a next phase is that they like what they have going on and fear losing what they have.
Maybe with enough time and new experiences in a reunion, both would like to try serious then
Rollo X Will
"Oh fuck he is/they are what I want to be"
They click in a weird mirror way, in a way opposite and yet same, Rollo has a reliable persona that Will wished they could have, while Will has an antisocial one that Rollo wishes he could be. For deep down at their core they are what the other's mask is
Rollo talks of the compassion of the bell as if embodying it but what he wants most if for the world to burn while Will talks they don't fucking care and are perpetually annoyed while deep down they care too much.
And when both are next to each other it negates the other facade and let both rest bare to the other to see, Rollo clocks this imediatly upon meeting them and Will does at the end of the masquerade
Rollo did approach them with the intent of gaining an ally he sweared shared the same thoughs as him since the emanating frustration was palpable for him that emanates from Will, and after their brawl it became clearer for him that the only one his ego and his guilt could allow him to talk openly with was the magicless mage, their forgiveness and yet righteous anger haunt his very core.
Will did clock on Rollo's two face act, but they were too happy and eager to tune out every problem ever with this vacation, Grim was behaving, there's a competent professor to take care of any problem, so they could just sit back and relax, enough to openly debate with Rollo his idea and in a way understand his logic but ultimately someone they care about is made of magic so no thanks, yet Rollo was the only one they felt who got toe to toe and treated them as a serious oponent when they braw, and there is just something about violently letting out 10 pent up months of frustrations with themself in an oponet that goes fist to fist instead of magic that screams bonding for their soul

what would you say were the most in-character cwsg kara moments? (also, do you think it was any more faithful before it moved to the cw?)
prefacing this by saying that I hardly remember like 90% of anything that happened in that show (and what I do remember is mainly from seasons 1 and 4), but off the top of my head here are some in-character (imo) cbs/cw!kara moments:
i've talked about this one a couple times, but that scene from the very first episode where Kara angrily confronts Cat after she names her SuperGIRL has a really great start:
Kara: "Supergirl"? We can't name her that! [...] It's just, uh... I don't want to minimize the importance of this. A female superhero. Shouldn't she be called "Superwoman"? [...] If we call her "Supergirl", something less than what she is, doesn't that make us guilty of being anti-feminist?
because she's right! she's literally right. and yelling at her boss (and other figures of authority) because they've done something that she strongly morally disagrees with is something that comic!Kara loves doing. this scene started out so nicely but immediately fizzles out once Kara backs down when Cat goes on her dumb "what's wrong with being a girl? i'm a girl!" speech and has to be bailed out by Jimmy so she doesn't get fired. comic!Kara would've kept the energy throughout the entire argument and either quit or gotten fired right there. and she would've told Cat to drop dead (her favorite thing to tell her bosses).
another moment I really liked is from 1x06 when she's venting to Jimmy:
Kara: Growing up on Earth, I never felt normal. And I always thought that if I started to use my powers, my life would make sense. But I'm realizing that... being myself doesn't make me feel more normal. And it never will. Because my normal life ended the second my parents put me on that ship. And that makes me so mad.
yep, that's Kara alright ! it really is so fundamental to Kara's character that she can never really be "normal" again. she can begin a new (and fulfilling!) life, but the version of her that lived on Krypton—the girl who got into trouble with her friends, who loved learning about her peoples history, who bounced her baby cousin on her knee, who shared her passions of art and science with her father and mother—is gone! she can carve out a new version of "normal" for herself on Earth, but that girl who woke up everyday and lived on Krypton is gone—and that haunts her!
and of course you have the classic and much beloved scene from 1x08 where Kara screams at her mother's hologram when she finds out Alura used her to draw her aunt Astra out of hiding and arrest her:
Kara: Could she have saved us? Alura: She was a criminal. Kara: But was she right? Alura: I am not programmed to give you that information. Kara: Tell me! [...] You let everyone that I love die! You left me! You left me alone! You sent me away! How could you do that?
and then this exchange between her and Alex:
Kara: She lied to me. Alex: Kara, that wasn't your mom. You don't know what happened then. Only what Astra is telling you now. Kara: I know that Astra and I were both given life sentences by my mother. We didn't have a choice.
Kara having a complex relationship with her mother and overall feeling deeply alone and abandoned by her parents is so important to me and very important to her character. this scene really fits in perfectly with that post I made a while ago that compiles the different instances across continuities where Kara admits to wishing she had stayed on Argo City instead of being sent to Earth alone. she's really the loneliest and most tragic character in the world !
okay and one last scene (well. multiple scenes) from season 1 that I really enjoy is from 1x16 where Kara gets infected by red kryptonite. I truly believe that the first 10-ish minutes after Kara gets infected is the closest cbs/cw supergirl ever got to capturing pre-crisis Kara's energy:
Cat: Oh, and look at that. A reward. Somebody gifted me tickets for Club Apocalypse for Friday night to see a Scandinavian DJ whose name I won't even try to pronounce. Kara: Thank you. I'll put them to good use. Siobhan: Do you even know how to dance? Kara: Don't be jealous. Or do, I don't really care.
K'hund: Your mother— Kara: Sentenced you to Fort Rozz, blah, blah, ruined your life, I've heard the story. You wanna fight about it?
Kara: Hi, Siobhan! Siobhan: What do you want? Stalker. Kara: Messenger downstairs wants you to sign for Ms. Grant's flowers. Siobhan: Okay, you do it. Kara: Well I would but Ms. Grant needs me to proof a column for her ASAP. I'm sure one day she'll give you more editorial responsibilities too.
Kara [to Siobhan after she gets fired]: Well, I guess that's your exit. [...] Well, that was awkward. But not surprising, though. She was a bad seed, it was only a matter of time.
the Kara / Siobhan catco scenes in particular really remind me of pre-crisis Linda Danvers / Nasty Luthor and the workplace feud that they had back in adventure comics. one of the biggest failings of cbs/cw Kara is that she's not enough of a dick. comic!Kara can be an asshole sometimes! she's catty! she's not above having a stupid feud with a coworker that she hates! she can be somewhat of a dick and also be kind and compassionate, they're not mutually exclusive.
moving on! (and skipping anything from seasons 2 and 3 because it's been literal years since I watched them) fast forward to season 4, I liked the scene in 4x08 where the US President fired Kara from the DEO for not revealing her secret identity:
Kara: If I did that, sir, everyone I know, everyone I love would be at risk. President Baker: My family is with the Secret Service as we speak. You think they're not in danger? No one should be above the rest of us. We need to put country first. Kara: I'm sorry, sir. I can't give you what you want. President Baker: Then, I thank you for your service, but you're dismissed, effective immediately. I hope you'll comply. The United States does not want a war with Supergirl. Kara: Then I trust you won't start one.
FINALLY Kara gets fired from one of her jobs, it's about damn time ! but seriously Kara standing her ground in this matter, especially when the President is trying to make it look as if she's selfish and thinks she's above or better than him or anyone she protects ("MY family's with the Secret Service!! NO ONE is above the rest of us!! you're putting YOURSELF before the country!!"), is VERY comic!Kara. she knows he's full of shit and she won't be guilt tripped into doing something she's not comfortable doing, even when it's a direct order from the US President. and I especially love the "then I trust you won't start one" at the end of their conversation. get his ass.
there's definitely other moments throughout the show that give comic!Kara to me, but alas, I don't remember any. I loved anytime she was onscreen with Nia though, so take that as you will.
as for the second part of your question, I don't think the show was any more or less faithful to her comics when it switched networks. however, just in terms of Kara's personality, I think she actually somewhat improved once the show moved to the CW. I just find the overly bubbly, "adorkable", "golden retriever" type of personality they gave her in the first season to be SO grating, and I felt that she mellowed out once the network switched. as the show went on Kara matured and grew more of a spine, which is more accurate to the Kara I love from the comics.
imo the first season did a good job when it came to touching on Kara's connection to Krypton and letting her feel complex emotions about her past, but I think it's disappointing in every other aspect. they majorly declawed her and they centered Superman in a really annoying way by constantly comparing her to him and just mentioning him unnecessarily (not to mention changing Kara's character to be more like him and giving Clark HER villains (yes i'm still mad about the show's version of Reactron)). make no mistake, CW Supergirl is not perfect by any stretch of the imagination, but they let her be more of an established and confident hero. obviously that's just like. character development. but even so, when you compare season 1 to Kara's early career in the comics, it's just like. kind of insulting ! 15 year old, incredibly traumatized comic!Kara was doing a better job at being Supergirl than 24 year old show!Kara. just a shame!
#asks#kara zor el#I really cannot remember anything specific from seasons 2 or 3.... they don't exist to me#except that they made argo city look hideous and made all the time she spent there about m.on el instead of letting her lezz out with thara#I briefly considered partially rewatching the show to answer this question but every time I reached for the remote I got heartburn#i'm not strong enough#maybe i'll rewatch starting from season 2.... maybe maybe....#long post

Ok so here's the fairy tale meta thing based off a lie that I was talking about.
In Dead Apple, there's a flashback scene at Bar Lupin where Dazai explains the concept of apple suicide to Oda, while a track called "Dear Prince" plays in the background. There's a brief mix-up where Oda confuses the story of Snow White for Cinderella - but when I first came up with this, I misremembered what he said (I mixed up... his mix-up...) and thought the line was about Sleeping Beauty.
And I'm so unreasonably annoyed by this because that would've made so much more contextual sense. Why? Because they both involve an awakening. Moreover, there's a few interesting details in the environment of the older tales (I will not be using the Disney versions as the Dead Apple motifs actually connect better with the originals and also because I have never actually seen them... embarrassingly enough) that translate quite nicely to aspects of Dazai's life and bonds.
Specifically, there are some loose parallels to be found with Odasaku and the story of Sleeping Beauty, and Chuuya and the story of Snow White. (Note that this is not intended to be shipping fuel or anything; interpret it however you like, I'm just drawing connections.)
And yeah, I know this is an entire half-baked meta formed around a line that doesn't even exist but please just give it a chance or at least humour me please please please please please
Alright let's get the Cinderella thing out of the way first since I want to at least address it.
Cinderella has its origins in the old Greek story of Rhodopis, which sets up the main aspects of the story we know now: a servant girl from a poor background ascends to royalty through marrying a prince, who searches for her after finding her missing shoe. This doesn't really bear any resemblance to the rest of the movie or any other ongoing themes... unless you want to suggest that maybe Dazai's jumping from one side to the other was something akin to a "shoe-test"; that he was looking for a perfect fit. I think that's quite a stretch though and it's likely this really was just a throwaway line meant to show us Oda's occasional uh... airheadedness. If anyone has any further thoughts on this, I'd love to hear them.
It's a shame, really, because the slip up could've been given more significance and also because as an analyst of sorts it is my sworn duty to pull meaning out of absolutely nothing so I guess I took another step further here and made up my own line to analyze in stupidly excessive detail.
The entire point of this was meant to show how both the stories of Sleeping Beauty and Snow White have a theme of awakening, and so do Dazai's bonds with both Odasaku and Chuuya - they both have a function of "waking him up" in a sense. However, the means of doing so manifest very differently.
So, let's talk about Sleeping Beauty.
Sleeping Beauty has its origins in an old Italian story called Sun, Moon and Talia, which has many of the elements we know today but was uh. A lot darker. And way more non-consensual. The version the more modern story takes its roots from is Perrault's version. Here are the important bits to this analysis: the princess pricks her finger on a spindle out of curiosity, the good fairy puts everyone in the castle to sleep along with her for 100 years so that she will not be alone when she wakes, the prince does not wake her with a kiss but instead she wakes just by his presence and they sit and talk for a long, long time.
So, on to my delusional parallels. Part one: the princess pricks her finger out of curiosity. See, for Dead Apple, we have to rethink this a bit because Dazai brings up the concept of apple suicide, not murder. Of course, this is a parallel to himself and his disregard for his own life, so here we can take it that he did not "prick his finger" out of mere curiosity, but also, likely out of a desire to "sleep".
It's hard for me not to draw a connection between the curiosity aspect of the finger prick and Dazai's curiosity to join the mafia, especially with the next part - where everyone falls asleep as well for the time the princess is asleep. Essentially, no one will age or die. For as long as the princess remains unconscious, the world will not change. And if the princess perhaps, wanted this, then we can infer what is likely a fear of being left. Maybe even a fear of living. Dazai joined the mafia because he was curious if it would have what he sought. Instead, he spent his days trapped in an "oxidizing dream" as he detached further and further both from his humanity and from others. The mafia is already a place where people don't talk to each other openly and we know Dazai was even more unknowable than that - if he doesn't care about himself or others, the dream goes on. He stays asleep, and if he doesn't care, then he doesn't lose anyone - no one truly "dies".
As for the last part, there isn't much to say. Dazai warms up to Odasaku because the man just talks to him. And likes talking to him. And doesn't tell him to stop when he's being really freaking weird. But notably, Odasaku doesn't do much at first to help Dazai "awaken". It's only when he's about to die in his fight against Gide that he realizes he regrets not saying something sooner. Odasaku only has one chance to wake Dazai before he dies and he does it by shattering that dream that he will find what he's looking for. Paradoxically, that hope Dazai held onto was what trapped him in that singular mindset. Oda dies shortly after and the illusion is broken. Dazai wakes up, his world kickstarts where it had previously been stagnant and Dazai greets the sun and tries to live.
See why I'm slightly annoyed this wasn't the line now?
But hey, while we're at it, let's also talk about Snow White because the Dead Apple movie was actually a lot more firm with its connections than I think people realize.
Firstly, I would love people to know that in the original Grimms' fairy tale, Snow White doesn't clean the dwarves' house but in fact burgles it, eating their food, drinking their wine and falling asleep in one of their beds after testing each one, and generally leaving the house in complete disarray. Yeah. Not related to my point at all, but this sounds an awful lot like something Dazai would do (but more out of mischief than naivete of course).
Here's the important part though: Did you know that the Queen attempted to have Snow White killed not just once, but three times? The first two times, the dwarves were the ones to save her and quite quickly - they made a deal after she broke into their house that she would fix it up for them and maintain it in exchange for her staying with them in safety. It's an agreement of sorts, but as they became fond of her, they try and save her life in earnest. The poisoned apple is actually the third attempt to kill her, where the Queen bites into the white, non-poisoned part of the apple and Snow White, thinking it safe, eats the red half and falls asleep.
Hey. Remember the colour of the pill Dazai took in Dead Apple?
Yeah, someone on that team knows the original fairy tale.
Interestingly (and this is where I got really excited), there are three different attempts to kill Snow White (or, if Dazai is to be believed, three different attempts at her own self-destruction) - and there are three different instances where Chuuya "wakes" Dazai, twice while they're partnered (when they have an "agreement", terms in a sense as partners), and once in Dead Apple.
The first is in Fifteen, the infamous scene where Dazai shoots the body and Chuuya snaps him out of it by wrenching the gun out of his hands. I'm honestly a bit too tired to go super into that scene right now but I'm doing a little bit on it later - all that needs to be acknowledged here is that Dazai was out of it and Chuuya forced him back to earth. The second occurs during the Dragon's Head Conflict when Dazai is completely insensitive to the death of a mafia executive and Chuuya decks him for it. The now-infamous line "no one would believe that" is often misinterpreted I think. Chuuya says this in response to Dazai's "I'm human, too, you know." He's not saying "you're not human", he's saying "you are human but no one would believe that with the kind of shit you're saying and doing". It's the same kind of sentiment in the first scene where Chuuya intervenes, I believe. And it is a form of waking, in that Chuuya snaps Dazai out of his more inhumane moments - he basically calls him out and forces him to reevaluate; the epitome of a rude awakening.
Now for the Dead Apple scene proper.
Firstly, let's establish something. They are no longer partners in the mafia. They are even on separate sides. The framing of this changes Chuuya's actions from working with Dazai with occasional call-outs to bring him back to earth, to saving him in what is quite literally a rescue.
In the original myth, again, there is no waking kiss. Instead, in this third time, everyone assumes Snow White is really dead, that she will not be coming back. The prince, who happens across her, insists she at least receive a proper burial. But when carrying her coffin, one of them trips and they stumble, which jostles the princess enough that the piece of apple stuck in her throat is dislodged and she coughs it up, reviving. Uh...
Yeah.
Anyways this got kind of messy at the end and idk if it even made sense this is really just unhinged rambling so...
Tldr, Odasaku and Chuuya both help "wake" Dazai even if their methods and personalities are very different, which is part of the reason why both bonds are very important. Neither are particularly gentle with him, but waking, especially if all you want to do is sleep, is not a gentle thing.
#this is barely a meta but if i didn't write this up i felt like i was going to go insane#not my best work by far but i hope it's at least enjoyable#bsd#bsd dead apple#bsd meta#bsd dazai#bsd odasaku#bsd chuuya#do i tag with the ship names? sure ig#odazai#soukoku#skk#storyrambles#<-last tag is appropriate story has rambled for too long on this. a meta based on a line that doesn't even exist

If you don't mind, could I ask for some apple pie/hollocross thoughts/headcanons? :]
I'm very curious how you started shipping them and if you have ideas of how they would've gotten together in canon (or at least whatever "together" would mean for them lol)
and ofc feel free to throw in any HCs you have as well :D (v not forced)
OH MY GOSH THANK YOU I WILL NOT STOP YELLING ABOUT APPLE PIE.
Ok so I will admit part of it came from me just randomly trying to come up with fun ship names with @fruity-phrog . I came up with several for ships I don’t even personally ship. But then they came up with Apple Pie for Hollocross.
And then I started thinking about the implications.
Because they’re like. Both different sides of the same coin. Wilbur has people that know him, but he can never go back to living a normal life. Whereas Hollie can live her “normal” life, but not be truly known by anyone. That in conjunction with the fact that they have met several times in several timelines where they always seem fated to kill each other just was the perfect breeding ground for a forced proximity/fated mates/doomed romance story.
For them, I imagine “together” just means when they crossed that line from hatred to some sort of sembleance of care, of need for the other. I imagine in one timeline, they would have duked it out and hit a draw (for the moment. Eventually one of them would end ip victorious, just at a later date). Too exhausted, they’d call it a tie. And then because he had nowhere on this plane to go to, he’d swallow his pride and ask to crash on her couch for the night, just so he could theoretically lick his wounds before he left.
And then across several timelines they keep drifting closer like that. It feels like they’ve known each other for hundreds of years, hundreds of lifetimes. And you simply can’t know someone like that without some sort of attachment forming. Not for Wiley. Not for Hollie.
And now for assorted headcanons!:
• They have memories of the different timelines due to their relationship with the LiB. So they do in fact remember everything across the timelines while others do not.
• They’ve definitely had heart-to-hearts on Hollie’s couch in several timelines. He’s poured out his heart about John and PEIP, she’s lamented about her love of Duke and how she can never have him the way she wants; never be known the way she wants him to.
• Any time they’ve tried to break free of the narrative they’ve chained themselves too, it doesn’t work. Even if they try to not kill the other, to settle and be as close to normal as they can get, eventually one kills the other anyways. So they settled to never call what they have “love”, to never put any title on it. Why get attached if it’s not meant to be forever anyways, right?
• Wiley’s favorite pie is cherry pie (it used to be apple).
• Holloway started developing a touch of a southern twang to her voice from time spent around Wilbur.
• They make jokes and jabs and insults at each other constantly to cope with the knowledge that one of them is going to die.
• In timelines where Wilbur is the survivor, he almost never takes off her jacket. It’s all he has left of the person who made him almost feel normal.
• In timelines where Hollie is the survivor, she does anything she can to forget Wilbur, to just brush it off as another part of her past. But she still gets the night terrors. Maybe if she can exaggerate his evil, villanous nature in her head she can forget the care she had for him. Right?
Aaaaaaaand then I have my fankid aksjsks. I have various ideas for how she’d occur, and what she’d turn out like if she was raised by Wiley vs raised by Hollie. Buuuuut that’s another post lol.
THANK YOU FOR LETTING ME GET ON MY SOAP BOX

Itachi would've been fine to me tbh if like the story just let him be humbled lol. The main issue is that nobody called out Itachi for his actions, except for Itachi himself, which ironically serves to make him seem even more virtuous and flawless. "I understand feeling upset when some people in the fandom community don't use critical thinking. However, imagine investing a lot of time following a story you read since you were a kid. Many people simply follow the story as presented, and can you blame them when the story validates Itachi? I can't really blame them that much when even the writer seems to be bending over backwards to portray the character as a well-meaning hero, like in the case of Itachi." Now, I don't really know how well something like reading a piece of Naruto media can translate to real life but the saying the things we read and watch can influence on how we perceive the world rings true in my opinion because unfortunately some people really do believe in the Uchiha curse b.s and to me reflects a lot when it comes to how marginalized groups are stigmatized like the idea of a group having the curse of hatred inside of them is fucked if you are so set to believe in something based on a fictional group in a piece of media well... it raises questions about how that might influence real-life beliefs and attitudes towards marginalized groups
I think it's important to be at an age where you have developed critical thinking skills to engage with complex narratives like this. Many people are influenced by nostalgia and are such huge fans of certain characters that they are inclined to make elaborate analyses justifying their actions. For example, some might argue that because Itachi was just a kid when he committed certain acts, it excuses his behavior. However, if we start using age or other factors as excuses for heinous actions, where do we draw the line? What other circumstances would you be willing to bend over backwards to justify committing heinous crimes similar to what Itachi did?
Naruto is a bitch. I don't really want to extend to much with this character since I just feel disappointment. I wanted him to do more then he failed. He's become a politician I don't know what else to say lol. So many people say he inspired them how? What did he accomplish besides obtaining Hokage their world is still fucked up man the shinobi system still rotten. I thought this kid would grow up to do something about it but he remained complacent and changed nothing only difference is he's on top. I realized about later that was Sasuke role as an antagonist and it wouldn't make much sense lol there need to being 2 opposing sides but yeah... He was a whole lotta nothing as a protagonist he was cute kid but he grew up to be a dumb fuck who can't figure out why his "dearest friend" is siding against him and became man who can't keep promises.
It makes sense he had a hunger for acknowledgement I'm not discrediting that since he was a child but he wanted validation from everyone that he has such an obsession with his own self-image and how everyone thinks of him that I find it portrayal to be unhealthy. Sasuke at the end was just a checklist a reward at the end of the day that he wanted to gain for his personal goal.
Naruto talk no jutsu is so manipulative to me sometimes that instead of directly confronting Sasuke's ideas or opinions as equals would in a debate or discussion he would indirectly undermined them. He did this by ignoring Sasuke's valid arguments and instead focusing on exploiting Sasuke's emotional vulnerability, particularly his feelings of loneliness and despair stemming from the loss of family. Like his approach to me suggests a tactic to manipulate Sasuke's emotions rather than engaging with his ideas or concerns directly. But, I ain't sure if he's doing this deliberately since I don't know if he's that smart or I'm looking to much closely.
I'd rather ship his character with fucking OC's. I feel like each member of Team 7 are obsessed and want something from the guy but they don't care for Sasuke personally because if they did it would show but they're after him for what they want from him as a goalpost and hey they won.

"A Song On Repeat"
Chapter 2
Legend may have passed out, but he was also now accustomed to staying awake for three days straight. He didn't stay down long, and he wasn't going to sleep until he knew for certain that the loop was over.

Event Masterlist
Read On AO3 Warnings: Panic attacks
----
Legend couldn't sleep the night after he woke up. The magical exhaustion had knocked him out to start with, but once he could wake up he did and falling back asleep was a hard no.
The others didn't question him immediately, clearly he looked worse than he thought if they were all shooting him concerned looks.
They made camp in the same place as the night prior, and Legend ended up staying vigil the whole night despite the clear reservations and opposition.
"You need rest, vet," Sky told him softly. "You passed out, we don’t know what's going on but we know that something happened... at some point, and the Old Man knows what, even he says you need to rest."
"I'm fine," he said in an equally low voice. "I just... I need to make sure."
What if the moldrum wasn't the answer? What if that horde was a distraction? What if--
He startled as a weight settled around his shoulders and another presence took up the place on his left, opposite of Sky.
"Then let us keep you company," Warriors said, Legend realized it was his scarf that was settled over his shoulders and he couldn't help but stare before huffing softly.
He redirected his attention to the wider area, letting out a steady breath and just waiting, watching.
He knew it wouldn't prove anything to himself, this was a defendable camp, there was a reason why he never had to fend off the ambush within the first six hours of the seventy-two.
He'd stay up tonight, and he'd let them get to the original second night camp, the original scene of the slaughter. He'd stay up then too, none of them could or would stop him.
Nayru may have released her hold on him, Farore may have promised that it was over, but Legend wasn't going to let his guard down until these three days were up.
He wasn't sure if he'd dare explain anything beforehand, he wasn't sure he could share it multiple times.
Warriors stayed by his side, Sky too, Sky got up and woke Twilight and Time before he returned to his side and slipped into a half sleep. Warriors did well at staying up, settling in a restful state that wasn't quite sleeping. Twilight shot Legend worried looks but Time was the one to approach.
"Veteran," Time crouched down in front of him, drawing his attention, "is it over?"
Legend gave a bitter smile, he felt Warriors shift at bit at his side. "We'll find out, won't we?"
"What can I expect?"
"We'll find out," he repeated because he didn't know. He slaughtered the horde, they killed the moldrum, but was that enough? Did the Shadow have more up in the wings to drop on them through a portal? Would another battle begin that didn't count for the three days? He didn't know what would happen.
All he knew was that he had to make sure they all survived the next 54 hours.
"Will you rest?" Time asked this time.
"When it's over," he promised. "When it's done, I'll rest and then I'll explain, I promise."
"Alright," he agreed quietly. "I'm sorry--"
"If you say you're sorry for cursing me with this terrible fate, I'm going to stab you."
Time startled, he stared at him in surprise before he laughed weakly. "Why am I not surprised."
Legend glared. "I don’t think you realize how many "terrible fates" I've been apologized to about. I've experienced worse, even if this is up there."
Koholint and it's un-reality would continue to be the worst experience of his life, the ideality of it, he would've loved that life. Koholint and Marin, living on a quiet island but maybe having a ship to go and explore with, an ever-changing and ever dangerous ocean to traverse, a lover who would voyage with him, who had just as much wanderlust as he did. Koholint had been perfect, but what made it the worst thing he'd ever experienced was the fact that he experienced it and it wasn't real.
He had been given what he wanted only to have it stolen from him. Even then, this time loop thing also didn't compare to the people who he had lost and couldn't save.
The second day, Time spoke to everyone individually, quietly, and nobody demanded answers from Legend, they only pestered him about his health.
He let that slide, he ate the food Wild shoved into his hands every hour of the day, he let Hyrule cast diagnostic spells and Sky hover. Twilight would appear often and Wind hadn't left his side, but he was chattering on about various stories that Legend always enjoyed listening to.
Warriors hadn't taken back his scarf, and Legend wasn't going to give it back at the moment. He'd seen the captain get strangled and killed for it more than once that he didn't mind seeing it absent from his shoulders... it was also extremely soft, comfortable, and warm, he found he couldn't fault the Captain for always wearing it.
The day went by smoothly, as Legend was used to at this point, and they made camp in the questionably defendable grotto.
Legend took up vigil again, much to the dismay of his companions but Time somehow had stopped them from bothering him.
The night went by the same way the previous had, quickly, quietly, and surrounded by the other heroes.
The day repeated and Sky told him he needed to rest when they stopped for lunch.
He didn't have the energy to argue, he just shook his head. Twelve more hours, only twelve more.
Legend found himself beside Warriors and Time that night during second watch. Time seemed a bit anxious but as nothing happened. He counted down to midnight.
"How long, old man?" He muttered, head dropping against Warriors shoulder.
"It's midnight now, veteran," Time reported. "Is that it?"
His body said yes, that it stayed awake the whole time like he'd asked of it. It begged for reprieve, to finally rest.
"It better be," he huffed. "I don' think I can stave off the rebound of cutting off how much rest I got after getting magical exhaustion much longer."
"You can get some rest then," Time told him. "Time's up, you’re done."
Legend hoped it was, because he couldn't keep his eyes open anymore. He passed out on Warriors.
Legend woke up to being carried. He tried to move only for whoever was holding him to tighten their grip.
"It's alright--I got you vet, it's okay. You can sleep."
He was frankly too tired to actually make a coherent response, much less be coherent, and just hoped his curl tighter into the warm arms and chest translated to: I'm trying.
The chest rumbled as they laughed. "Alright--hold on then, we're headed through a portal."
He didn't get the chance to process that before he was hit by the dizzying slam of a portal and its magical drain.
The next time Legend woke up, he was someplace soft and warm and listening to murmuring and chatter.
They turned out to have arrived at Time's Lon Lon Ranch by noon after Legend passed out.
Malon all but force fed him a meal that he willingly ate, although a bit reluctantly considering how much meat filled the plate. He held back the usual nausea that came with that and just sat back as she went to let the others know he was up... and that dinner would be ready soon so they better clean up.
Soon enough, everyone cleaned up and fed, Legend sat perched by the warm hearth and waited until they settled.
They did so quicker than usual, which wasn't too surprising to be honest.
"So, do we get an explanation now?" Wild asked. "Because I really want to know about the giant worm in the ground and why you jumped into it."
Legend blinked and realized... did they even know about the horde inside the moldrum?
"Yes," he said before anyone could comment on Wild's choice of focus. "It's... simple, honestly. Temporal magic is very powerful and provides a lot of options. Certain items are good focuses for temporal magic, I have a harp that is one, and I used an item that allowed me to travel back in time and retry after... after things went wrong. I did it to such an extent that it set a loop, seventy-two hours from midnight to midnight, that would remain until I achieved what I aimed for."
"Which was?" Warriors asked.
Legend faced the fire, the burning hearth and its warmth was welcomed, it also let him hide his face from the others.
"Making sure everyone survived."
Someone made a strangled noise, Wild--Twilight too, Legend was fairly sure. Sky inhaled sharply.
"How many times?" Time asked.
Legend hummed. He pulled out the three journals, flicked through the one of everyone's last words.
"I... I'm not sure. I lost count at some point, and... And I never tried to track how many."
He worried that if he knew how many, then he would lose hope of it ever ending.
"What's that?" Wind asked, he had moved the closest of everyone.
Legend glanced at him, then the page in front of him.
"I promised Aryll I'd teach her how to fight with a sword. I'm sorry..." -Sailor, axe in side pierced spine.
Legend let out a shaky breath. "I... I don’t know if you want to see this one, Sailor."
Wind frowned, more confusion than indigence. "Why?"
"Because..." Legend tried to take in a steadying breath but all it did was hitch and make him shudder. "Because it's your last words. I... I wrote them down."
It let him cling to sanity, keeping track of their unfinished promises, their wishes, making note of things asked of him, of goodbyes to make...
Of people to take care of if it happened to end without everyone surviving.
"Oh," Wind breathed. "I... Can I see mine?"
"I don’t think that's a good idea," Warriors intervened.
"No, it's not," Wind agreed, but he met Legend's eyes. "But I know you, and I know you'd feel responsible for anyone and anything we said. So I want to know what I said, even if it might be a bad idea, because I don’t want you thinking you can take my responsibilities from me."
Warriors faltered from pulling Wind back.
Legend stared at him, then he let out a laugh. "You’re not supposed to call me out like that, Ocean."
"It's my job dumbass. Now tell me."
Legend shook his head. "I can't. It's not just your words."
"Does anyone have a problem with anyone else reading theirs?" Four spoke up, eyes flashing blue.
Legend was quick to speak before anyone else could. "I-I didn't include secrets in that one."
They all looked at him, confused.
He moved his hand to one of the other journals. "I kept things separate... just in case. This... This one is more carefully partitioned and I was going to share it with everyone individually, but--This is of secrets, information, that I didn't previously know but that got revealed at some point. I... I figured you'd want to know exactly what I do, but it's also sectioned off so nobody else might read yours when reading their own. T-The last words doesn't really include much of that kind of information aside from names and vague references... goodbyes and the like."
They stared at him, all of them, varying degrees of surprise, concern, and some guarded wariness.
Sky was the only one with pity, somehow that made it worse.
"We'll do that one later," Sky said gently. "Individually, like you said. How about we all work through the other one together?"
"What for?" Hyrule asked.
"Trust, and so we aren't sitting here for ages just reading the same things over and over. It saves time, and then we can all address anything that needs to be addressed with everyone."
"Of course you're willing," Wild breathed shakily. "You don't have any secrets."
Sky didn't react but Legend snorted.
"Throw whatever idea you have about everyone here and how many secrets they have out the window, Champion. I promise you it's inaccurate. Everyone surprises you, in quantity and quality. There's no ranking."
Wind promptly burst into laughter. "Why did three people look at me?!"
Legend snorted while Hyrule, Four, and Twilight all startled.
"You're always telling us stories! I figured you'd run out of stuff to tell us!" Four protested.
"Well if that's how this will go," Time spoke up, "then I am fine with it."
"Me too," Hyrule agreed. "I... I have a feeling I know what mine are."
Legend bit his tongue. He moved over to the coffee table and dropped the journal onto it. Everyone shifted to gather while Sky took the book.
Legend moved back to the fire, other two journals tucked close and away.
""You better fix it this time," from the Smithy," Sky read. ""Please save them next time?" also the Smithy... "Please burn my body, please.""
Hyrule flinched.
"That one was the Traveler, and there's a tally underneath it... five--ten--seventeen sets of five."
Legend watched them, Hyrule looked at him and he just looked guilty.
"I'm sorry," Hyrule said softly.
"Everyone has a right to a final request, and to dictate what happens to their body after they die," Legend responded. "Keep going, Chosen. We'll be here all night at the rate you’re going."
He did, Legend noted he adjusted his position and everyone was leaning to read with him as he spoke one from everyone every now and then.
Legend could vividly remember every single moment.
"I don’t want to die." Spoken by Wild, a blade impaled in his chest and blood filling Legend's vision.
"Take care of the Champ for me?" Spoken by Twilight, he was the first down. Wild survived that time.
"I'm sorry, Malon... I'm so sorry." Time, he didn't know Legend was there, he was already too far gone.
"I'm sorry, Zelda." Wild again, thirty-seven times.
"If you keep going, tell my Grandma I'm sorry. And tell Aryll that I'll watch her." Wind, his whole arm cut off and legs mangled, the blood loss had take him.
"I've cursed you with a terrible fate, haven't I?" Time, eighty-eight times.
"My world isn't your fault." Hyrule, fifty-three times.
"Tell Zelda I'm sorry." Sky, one-hundred fourteen times.
"One more. Just one more, come on Link." Warriors, three arrows in his back and one in his chest. He took out seven more before an arrow to the throat took him down.
"I'm not done yet!" Twilight, a deep cut in his side and his guts threatening to spill out. He did manage to take out a few more before he was decapitated.
"Come and get me!" Hyrule, he charged the horde... Legend didn't see how he died.
"Fucking try me you sons of bitches!" Wind, he took out fourteen more before he was overwhelmed... and screamed when he was killed. A lot of Wind's last words were spoken with a lot of profanity.
Voices and scenes echoed in Legend's mind, Sky reading the ones that Legend had actually written down faded to the back of his awareness while the ones he never wrote down came to the forefront.
"Please--Vet please, I can't."
"Sailor no!"
"CUB! NO--GET AWAY FROM HIM!"
"I can't die--I can't--I can't leave Malon alone with this."
"H-Hey, Scholar? I-I don’t think... I don’t..."
"Mi...Mipha?"
"I-I promised Ilia I'd come back, I promised, vet." A bitter laugh. "I should've known better."
"Shit... Linkle's gonna kill me." Blood fall from his mouth. "Well... She might not have to."
"Link! No! Don’t--" an arrow through the skull.
"S-Sprite?"
"Hey--Hey no, don’t cry. It'll be okay, you did so well just now. You've done it before, right? You're our veteran, I... I'm sorry... I'm sorry we had to... leave you to finish the job. But... But I know... I know... you... you can do it."
"No, no, why are you crying? I'm fine. It's okay--O-Oh... I-I guess it... I guess it isn't okay, is it Vet? Huh... adrenaline's pretty insane, isn't it? I didn't... I didn't... even..."
"GET OUT OF THERE!"
"No--SMITHY MOVE--"
"There's a Hinox! Look--"
"You’re repeating... That sounds like hell. Have we really not survived? ...Not even once? Oh Hylia..."
"Linebeck? What are... oh..."
"Link! Captain, no, no, no-- where's my-- ...Vet?"
"VETERAN MOVE!"
"Look--Look, you g--you go back and... and you... You kick their asses, you hear me?"
"Make sure you win this one."
"N-Navi?"
"YOU WANNA FUCKING GO?!"
"Alright... Alright. One more time, let's go."
"Please, for once in my life I'm begging you... make it stop."
"Th...Thank you."
"I'm so sorry, I'm sorry, please--Please, I don’t--I'm sorry."
A thousand apologies.
A thousand battle cries.
A thousand names whispered with last breaths.
A thousand last words left unwritten because it explicitly revealed a secret.
Suddenly, something was touching him and his mind snapped into gear.
He jerked back, knife in his hand and he moved blindly, on instinct--
"Gah!" That voice--
Legend dropped his knife, horror shooting through him as he realized it was Warriors who'd touched him, it was Warriors who now had blood dripping from his cheek from Legend's blade. He had drawn blood from his brother.
He tried to move back but painful heat shot up his palm, his hand hitting the heated stone of the hearth and burning him. He yelped and jerked away.
"Oh s--Scholar no!"
He hit his head against the stone fireplace, and against everything, tears welled in his eyes. A damned head bump just made it all boil over, voices in his head growing loud but at least the visions to accompany them only flickered.
"No, no, hey." Warriors took his hand from the heat and wrapped a hand around the back of his head. "No, it's okay. You’re alright--ohhh, Sky? Hey, he burned his--Scholar, it's okay, just breathe, you’re alright."
"I'm sorry--I-I--"
"No, it's okay. I'm fine, I swear. I shouldn't have touched you, I'm sorry." Warriors stopped him from trying to pull away again, instead gently moving him away from the fireplace and making him give his hand to Sky, who'd appeared with a cold rag in seconds.
He was shaking, why was he so shaky? What was wrong? Why was he wrong? Why did he break from a touch? Why--
"Link," Warriors said firmly and he looked up fast. "Breathe... Do you need to take a break?"
Break--No.
"No, sorry," he forced out, struggling to wrangle his emotions back. His hand hurt. He hated burns. "I'm fine. I'm sorry, I just--zoned out."
"We noticed," Sky said, a note of softness to his tone. "But that's alright, we don’t mind. How about we all just head in for bed now? We can pick up the secrets tomorrow. I don't think we need to read the rest of that book."
"So many names," Four muttered in a voice that Legend barely heard. "I hadn't even thought of half those people in years..."
"You were about to die," Time said in equal volume. "Being so close to death puts things into perspective."
Legend nodded shakily. "Tomorrow, yeah--If that's what you want, okay."
Sky gave him a soft smile, Legend was distantly aware of the worry behind it but that wasn't what was keeping his attention as he stared at the two older heroes trying to help him.
He was more focused on the blood trickling down Warriors' cheek. If he blinked, the blood was coming from eyes that had been gruesomely carved out by keese.
If he listened, the screams of his brothers still plagued his thoughts. Their last words echoing in his mind.

Okay, so I keep forgetting to rework this to be an actual fic (I still will, but y'all get to have the rough draft✨). Originally discord messages back in November.
I figured this sorta fits day 4 grief. @mcyt-yuri-week
Ships; qBagi/qJaiden (polycule between teaduo/lovebirds)
Word count; 1025. Fic below ⬇️
Jaiden actually starts crying the first time Em chirps/meows at her. Like to the point she quickly messages one of the other moms to come over. She shuffles back putting distance between herself and her daughter, hand over her mouth trying not to sob cause it's all too much,,,Tina and Bagi showing up, Bagi immediately goes to console their confused daughter while Tina goes to Jaiden to help her calm down
Tina helping Jaiden settle down, Tina sitting beside her and keeping an arm around her. Little Em softly approaches, ready to apologize for upsetting her mama. Jaiden takes a deep breath, shakily letting it out, patting next to her for Em to sit. She tries to hand Jaiden the apology, but Jaiden just ruffles her hair and tells her it's okay that she has nothing to be sorry for. "You're okay Em, I'm the one that should apologize...it's just" taking another deep breath, "you just reminded me of someone,,,I know you're mama Bagi told you of my son Bobby right?" Getting a little nod from Empanada. "Well,,,, you're little chirps reminded me of when he first chirped to me too. I- it just tugged at my heart a bit y'know?"
She leans over and gently kisses Em's head. Tina rubs at her shoulder, and Bagi sits with them with a thoughtful look. "I promise you Em, I'll work on my reactions,,,I know it must hurt for one of your moms to react like that. But I do love you"
Em looks up into Jaiden's eyes, there's still a stray tear, with a head tilt and a grabby hand Jaiden lowers her head. Em wipes the tear and mrrps, drawing a sad little laugh from Jaiden. Em quickly writes "its okay mama, I can tell you miss him alot...Could you tell me stories of him? I think that'd be good for both of us!" Jaiden smiling softly as she reads it and nods "yeah,,i think that'd be a good idea"
She stands and offers her arms to Em, who quickly climbs into her hold. Tina and Bagi look at each other than at Jaiden, not knowing what to do, if she wants to be with Em alone or not. Jaiden looks over to them silently asking them to stay, Tina jumps up and is by her side immediately wrapping her arm back around her, Bagi nods still with a thoughtful look and takes Tina's hand. Walking to Jaiden's couch. Jaiden with Em sit in the middle, Tina and Bagi sit on either side of her. Bagi hesitantly puts an arm around Jaiden in a comforting manner, getting a very quiet chirp of gratitude in response. With another deep breath, Jaiden starts telling tales of Bobby for the 3 of them to hear
in the middles of a story, with sleep heavy eyes Em looks up to her mama, seeing the proud yet sad smile. Messily writing "he sounds so cool, i wish i coulda met him".
Jaiden chuckles a bit "yeah,,i wish you could've met him too, even if he would've thrown a fit about having another sibling", she looks at the sleepy dragonling "hmm, I think that's enough stories for today sweetheart, bed time?"
She scratches Em's chin making her purr slightly and Em nods. Tina and Bagi stand, stretching from sitting for so long, yet again not really knowing what to do. Jaiden softly asking if they want to spend the night. Getting a stammered "sure" from them both, both thinking she meant just like. Sleeping on the couch or something. But when Jaiden looks at them from the stairs, chirping something that they know means 'follow?' they do. Jaiden bringing them all to her nest, which shocks Bagi,,,not even 4 weeks ago she and Jaiden did not trust each other at all,,,and now the avian is inviting her into her nest. Nest are like sacred for avians, a safe place you'd never allow those you don't love in some form into. Jaiden laying Em down, Tina lays down too looking up to Bagi yet again hesitating. Jaiden stands and moves close to Bagi, clearly very emotionally exhausted, Jaiden nudging her and purring lightly. Bagi turning to her whispering "are you sure?,,,that you want me in your nest?”
Jaiden just grabs her hand and drags the woman into the nest. Jaiden curling around Bagi, arm over her waist reaching over and holding Em's tiny hand, spreading her wing over Bagi Em and Tina. Tina giggling quietly at the bewildered look on Bagi's face, especially when Jaiden cuddles closer and starts purring and clearly already asleep, Tina reaching over Em to take one of Bagi's hand smiling softly at her girlfriend and tells her to sleep. Bagi lays awake for a little while, thinking of the event that lead to her being held by the avian in her nest,,muttering under her breath before falling asleep herself "maybe,,maybe I'll hear her out about that bear,,,we could put our differences aside" unconsciously her tail wraps around Jaiden's,,,,,then in her head "shit- fuck. I am too gay for this, i. Do i have a crush on Jaiden too??????" But falls asleep being held by the avian, holding her girlfriends hand, and between them is their daughter
Bagi waking up first despite being the last to sleep. Panicking internally at how Jaiden is still cuddled against her, holding her somehow closer and purring in her sleep, and subconsciously she too was purring. Looking up, seeing Baghera at the table, sipping on a drink. Baghera looks over and sees the panicked Bagi, who is now even more panicked because 'that's Jaiden's girlfriend, I'm in her girlfriend's nest and cuddling her wtf. I'm dead', stammering out “i- i am sor-”
Baghera cuts her off with a shush and soft laughter. Whispering at her quietly "yeah, mon oiseau is quite a heavy sleeper and really likes cuddles, especially if she's emotionally exhausted. You're stuck there till she wakes. She will whine if you try to leave."
Bagi gulps. Accepting her fate, but is just, so confused

Pssst, I'm an older RE fan who's been in and out of the fandom so many times over the years that it's kinda ridiculous tbh, but this blog is a bit newer for me and I'm looking for more people to follow and interact with and would love some chill people who don't bash on other fans. I'm a multishipper (with Leon being my main fandom bicycle) and I've been roleplaying him for over a decade off and on, which has lead me to see the potential of more ships than I would've ever imagined back in the day (I shipped Leshley and Serennedy before the remake was even a thought, believe it or not lol).
I would love to follow people who like:
Leshley
Chreon
Serennedy
Cleon
Aeon
Kreon
Steve x Claire (I dunno the current ship name)
Leon
Steve
Chris
Rebecca
Pretty much anything tbh, but Leon and Steve are my main faves, so yeah.
I'm moving atm and struggling to have the time to go looking for people, so just like this post or reply, and I'll check out your blog when I get a moment to chill. I'm hoping once things calm down that I can draw more than just the emotes I made for RE soon to share with you all, too.
Feel free to say hello and/or direct me to more people to follow, if you like! And if you know of any discord servers to join, too, throw them my way! Thanks!
#leon kennedy#steve burnside#leshley#chreon#cleon#aeon#serennedy#steve x claire#i dunno what else to tag lol#I'm very scatterbrained right now cuz move please be patient with me

I think i definitely would've liked Calliope more if she was presented as a bad person. I love how she absolutely malded (this term works here (wig)) when she was losing that chess game. Beforehand she was acting all snide and flirty towards Caliborn, like come on, "you're being such a good sport now finally", sending hearts <3 to him, saying weirdly suggestive shit. Like damn girl you're usually not this upfront. Then she gets thrown off guard and gets extremely defensive, it's hilarious. I really liked her when she acted two-faced, you can even take this literally, she's delusional. She dresses up as a troll because she has a fetish for them then starts shipping herself and friends together, no wonder why Caliborn sees her as so pathetic. All she has is ruses, i don't even think that SHE THINKS that she's all that strong. She pretty much relies on other's to get her through stuff and she even pretends to be someone else to progress the story. I've said it in the past but i think she should've been a misandrist, i think it would be funny for her to enable her female friends obsessive dispositions towards their crushes. Remember her drawing of Roxy trying to kiss Dirk while he looks visibly uncomfortable? It's stuff like that, have her perception on men be that they're props for the girls and you need to get a one-up on them in anyway to control them. Like drawing Dirk in a pink costume and being called something as gay as "the prince of heart" as an attempt at emasculating him. There's potential for this idea. She's better at being more composed and tactful than Caliborn, a good set up for being manipulative, she uses her fake politeness to slither her way onto C-Earth where i think she would have great potential to become a villain.
Just a bunch a thoughts about her bleh, she was kinda boring half of the time in the comic, stuff just gets handed to her and she's supposed to be a good guy despite forcefully separating Roxy and Rose that one time. Gave off control freak vibes. Her character feels inconsistent, like Hussie couldn't choose what he wanted her to be. I feel like her potential was underutilized
While Caliborn tries to be more in your face direct kind of deal, Calliope would have been someone who plays the more passive role. Doing her best to hide her true intentions or feelings and only showing her true colors when she is not able see the results she wanted or something else beyond her control comes her way. Calliope would shown to be no better than Caliborn and prove show how Cherubs are awful species. Sure there could be a chance of good Cherub, but like with trolls, there is some trait that would be frowned upon by human standards. Like you got Nepeta, she is playful and sweet, yes, but people forget she still hunts animals for food and PAINT. Some may find FLARP sessions that Tavros, Terezi, Aradia, Vriska, and Eridan engage in to be dangerous since it can lead to physical harm, be it from other players or the monsters they had set up. To trolls, such activities like this are a norm because they had been conditioned to live under it. But perhaps for Cherubs case, it might as well be in genetics as a species themselves that they act this way. If she is also represents the 'good' side of the fandom, then one should show toxic positivity is just as bad. People who have good intentions, but their noble deeds can lead to harm if the intent behind it is still selfish, consciously or subconsciously. Maybe those who are part of the good fandom side that may disagree with certain opinions, everyone else immediately goes against them instantly at the drop of dime because they fear they instantly become bad, when there is more to it than that. Actually show the grey morality on both sides of the fandom that would represent people like 4chan & old MSPA fans with Caliborn and Calliope with Tumblr.
