the way house of leaves has been revived for a cult following is so funny. it's completely backwards! it was a music industry book. the singer poe, who made waves with her debut for having a few tracks produced by j dilla and then if i remember correctly doing a 500+ show tour, essentially tanked her career to promote the book (written by her brother)
not like on purpose but it was supposed to be a paired project and there was a remix with a book excerpt read by mark (the kyrie bmw sex scene) and like, i don't know, a tie-in website -- but then her label got sold or merged or acquired and the project was eventually cancelled after languishing in limbo for a few years. there's also an aspect of this where like, a texas oil executive posed as a friend of her late father (possibly true) in order to manipulate legal proceedings (?) to ultimately own her writing and recording copyrights post-acquisition (dubious allegation, which also relies on her having signed away both types of copyright to her label in the first place, arguably a larger problem spanning the whole industry, even today, still coming up in legal proceedings from kesha and taylor swift and so on)
anyway the album (haunted) and the book were both inspired by the same event (death of their father, tad danielewsky -- as an aside, a professor of theater at brigham young university). the album features samples from a box of cassette tape recordings of his voice. and also some fake samples from a couple of guys pretending to be tad danielewski with an obviously ridiculous accent and a couple of kids pretending to be her as a kid. and it takes place inside the house. the growl is there and everything i swear
it really was one of the top tier 90s concept albums (it was released in 2000 actually) but it is usually FAR too much to handle for casual listening and a lot of it comes across difficult for being so sincere and so unfocused (it is a love letter to her dead father where one of the songs is a list of places she's gotten fucked, because, uh, this is a conversation she wanted to have with him. shrug). and yet it's hard not to take it as it is because it's so consistently well produced
so i know nobody's computer comes with a cd player anymore but to read the book without listening to the paired album implicitly packed in the back of the book jacket is kind of like missing the whole point. there's a whole second act of rashomon you guys are missing. and a third act hello the etsy teleplays. ANYWAY the point i wanted to make is that there are a couple of things about the album sticking to the roof of my mouth as being somehow prescient. there's a distorted "why (are you) so serious" sample that would have come across VERY differently post-joker, but there's also "tell me something dangerous and true," a far more interesting variation on the theme currently circulating. and i'm speaking to an empty room here because it's only the celibate 60% of this website who is reading the book because it allows them a patina of literary validity and several nested unreliable narrators to distance themselves from the sex scenes, but haunted is very authentically, directly and exclusively written in first person and to be honest it fucks too hard for you guys. i'm sorry

Alastor - Historical Trivia And Headcanons
Alastor was a mixed-race Creole man living in New Orleans, and was in his 30's/40's when he died in 1933. We don't know much else about him, but historical context can provide us with possible additional details:
The population of New Orleans in 1930 was 458,762, more than it is now. 27.2% of the people were black, 3.1% were foreign-born, and roughly half of America's bipoc population was unemployed thanks to the Great Depression. New Orleans' original Francophonication was still strong, and it was common to run into locals who only spoke French dialects (Cajun French, Louisiana Creole). The city has had a huge Chinatown, a small Little Italy, and multiple other districts known for their immigrant African/colonized French cultures.
The Jim Crow laws were heavily enforced, as was the 'One Drop' rule. If Alastor was a mixed race black man, he would not have been able to attend a white school, use the same public transport, and would have shopped at black-local stores and restaurants under threat of violence. If he was mixed with any other race, some Jim Crow laws didn't apply, but state or city laws might specify differently.
Just because Alastor wears a suit, it doesn't mean he was rich in life. Radio personalities often didn't earn a fortune. Unless he owned his own broadcast, he was paid by a private company for long shifts of hosting music, news, and radio plays. In 1930, 40% of households owned at least one radio, which means that a popular radio host would have been easily recognized.
If he was in his late 30's in 1933, he might have fought in WW1, so long as he was over the age of 21. Some cities gave veterans small benefits, or encouraged the community to give them jobs. This often did not include veterans of color.
New Orleans was famous for being one of the least Christian cities in America, thanks to its unique immigrant and slave population. Haitian-based faiths and practices (such as voudo), indigenous cultures, Asian Buddhism, and atheism were common. But Christianity was still the official, law-enforced religion. Schooling involved reading the Bible, laws were sworn to Jesus, etc.
Alastor's outfit in Hazbin Hotel isn't very accurate to real-life American men's fashions of the time. Back then, deviating from the norm with the smallest detail would have stuck out like a sore thumb - like his white-lined lapels. Men always wore a hat. They were allowed to go without a waistcoat, but not a jacket. Belts were becoming more popular than suspenders. The silhouette was bulkier than the slimmer, Italian cuts of our modern times, especially the pants. Hair was kept short, and oiled down in a side part. Americans preferred the clean shaven look. Ties were essential unless you were a blue-collar laborer. Colors were almost universally muted neutral tones for everyday wear. The most colorful textiles for men were sporting outfits, like a tennis jacket.
If Alastor was a middle-class single man, he likely would have lived in an inner-city apartment, in an ethnic neighborhood. He probably didn't own a car, and took public transit like the streetcars. If he owned a house, it would likely have been an inheritance, and even the more opulent houses of the time would have looked small and plain to our eyes.
Because of the Great Depression, unmarried men were becoming the norm, rather than the exception. Men of the community who were sought after but remained single were suspect to gossip, but less ire than you might think; in the '30s, American queer culture was going through a very sharp revival, escaping the rigid Victorian era and before the puritan 40's/50's. But as a mixed-race man, it may have been illegal for a white woman to marry him, as the Jim Crow laws forbade the marriage of white people and Black/Asian people.
A middle class city household would have had electricity, gas heating, indoor plumbing, but may not have had running taps or a gas stove. Even with decent means, Alastor might have been using a potbelly woodburning stove, a dry sink/washbasin, wooden bathtub, and did his own laundry instead of sending it to the neighborhood laundresses. He may or may not have bothered with an icebox. Fresh groceries needed to be cooked and eaten soon, as things like pasteurized milk or store refrigeration wasn't a thing.
If he had enough money, then he almost certainly hired maids or other servants. Whether the maid came over just once a week, or did the shopping and laundry every other day, hired help was much more common back then, especially if he had no wife.
The most popular musicians in 1933 were Bing Crosby, George Olsen, and Leo Reisman. As you might have noticed, it was trendy for the lead singer to be backed by an orchestra, not a 'band' of just four other people like today. The most popular radio shows were Dick Tracy, Sherlock Holmes, and Doc Savage. They were recordings the radio station would buy and then broadcast, or sometimes the actors were live on the air. The radio host was usually not the journalist - the production team was responsible for writing his script.

personal canon loredump donât mind me lol
my canon is very divergent from show canon so thereâs that too
also these are copy+pasted from discord
(might have a special tag for this maybe idk-)
i think ive figured out my canon maybe kinda
of course a lot of bad stuff happened but not to the extremes the show got to
the company, jcjenson, were behind a lot more events since in my canon the solver isnât sentient or anything. idk how it âfoundâ me but it integrated itself into my code and i figured it out, learned how it worked
maybe i was purposely exposed to it, maybe it was random chance. like i said idk
im incredibly grateful that tessa found me and not some company grunts because she gave me a proper name (she wasnât too creative at naming tho lol) and fixed me up
hell, she liked me so much she gave me hair styled after her own hairstyle (i was secretly the favorite amongst us all, although j was found first and is therefore the âoldestâ)
when i first actually used the solver accidentally, n was there and we learned about it together. v eventually got curious enough but j wanted none of it ofc
but tessa found out and thats how jcjenson became involved
i can understand her thinking; âone of my drones is exhibiting strange behaviors and has weird robot magic stuff that i canât fully understand even with my technical expertiseâ and she didnât know that the company would capture me that night at the gala, so i cant blame her but if she had simply asked i couldâve given her everything she wanted to know
but yeah, jcjenson were the ones who turned my âsiblingsâ into disassembly drones, with my (very much non-consensual) help
see, i dont overheat and need to consume oil since i can handle the solver just fine
n, v and j canât. jcjenson basically copied the solvers code and put it into them, before modifying them to be oil-extraction machines essentially
then theres copper-9, blablabla thats kinda all the same but it was tessa and i who went there together
our job was to remove the solver code from those three, but copper-9 (and cabin fever especially) was an entire can of worms we werenât prepared for
and, fun bonus:
one good thing is that i have disassembly drone wings and tail because it automatically makes any drone look cool and im cool
plus also flying is fun
time for non-discord message stuff
in terms of who is more âstableâ with the solver, it goes like this;
n, v, j & nori are/were the least stable; they all had the solver put into their code while still alive (ill explain myself later) and thus canât handle the power/demands of it, leading to overheating
yeva and uzi surprisingly enough are somewhat similar; while yeva also had the solver put into her code, the patch she received nerfed the solver, thus giving her the abilities of the solver without much problem. uzi is different; because nori never got the patch, the version of the solver uzi got was kinda nerfed but not fully
next is doll; due to yeva receiving the patch, doll has the most nerfed solver version. she canât overheat but she also canât heal either
as for myself; the solver essentially revived me and became part of my own code, kinda changing it to properly fit the solver. i donât overheat but i can heal

â Mechanical Bird â | Prologue
Back to the Future.
Summer 1999.
On the device serving as a clock, the date 05.07 was illuminated with red light bulbs. Because of a colossal catastrophe that occurred 27 years ago due to critical oversights by scientists, after which the country still had not recovered, it seemed like it had just happened.
After nuclear accidents at power plants, flooded oil rigs, collapses of laboratories, and various epidemics in major cities, people decided to completely abandon and prohibit most technologies so that such horrors would never happen again.
Well, the government made another mistake, and this time it's the last one that will undo all the achievements of science and technology. They shut off electricity across the country, silly, right? Definitely. They gave some speech about "ecology," but really, the higher-ups just left their offices running on backup power, claiming it was necessary to monitor the situation.
But it seems like no one was planning to improve the situation, not at all.
Over time, those who realized the hopelessness of their situation fled to neighboring countries, where there were restrictions, but not as severe. The first few hundred stayed across the border, getting used to different laws and thanking their lucky stars for being saved. But after crossing into foreign territory once too often, it became inconvenient for governments to keep so many refugees and soon special military patrols were sent to the borders, sending everyone back.
The last hope of living a peaceful life in comfort and convenience had now been cut off, so people had no choice but to... accept it.
The city began slowly but irreversibly turning into ruins, giving way to nature. At first, the population tried to "revive" the architecture and technology, but nothing improved. Buildings and some non-essential factories, without maintenance, became overgrown with moss and gradually fell apart. Only residential houses looked more well-kept and suitable for living.
Predictably, after such widespread devastation, looters appeared, roaming the abandoned and sometimes inhabited houses in search of goods, medicine, and food just to survive.
Money no longer made sense, as banks had ceased to function, replaced by weapons, food, valuable items, and psychoactive substances. Even behind a locked door of an apartment building, you could never be sure of your safety.
Many staged rebellions and futile attempts to break through the concrete walls of the main administration, but what good were they when even the phones and televisions didn't work? Even the lowest echelons of society already understood that the government was concerned and would only ever be concerned about its own ministers.
Over several decades, the criminal world, as in the 60s and early 70s, was reaching dangerous levels of activity again. Those heading there were not only escapees from malfunctioning prisons but also regular civilians. No technologies can obscure the animal instinct. In such a situation, the desire to survive only intensifies.
Some formed groups, competing with others for a place in the sun and a chance to prolong their existence for another day. This often led to muffled sounds of gunfire, rifle-butts striking, someone's shouts, and swearing heard at night.
If you listened closely to the nighttime silence, which never brought peace or safety, you could make out faint knocks, the hum of an engine from a suspicious black van with tinted windows driving by, the creaking of window shutters, and the cries of birds.
Eyes had grown used to the darkness of dusk, when the sun sets behind the tall buildings on the horizon, and ears had grown used to the absence of the once familiar sound of the air conditioner and the brief signals from the power meter.

Conversations with a TĂĄltos
For a long time, I didn't practice anything related to my Magyar ancestry because there is so little information about their pre-Christian religious practices. But recently I remembered I'm a witch experienced in trance, and I can ask for myself!
I made contact with an ancestor. His name, he has said, is private, though he has allowed me to share this image from my journal for the sake of continuing the knowledge of his practice, which he didn't get to share with his own children as the demon of Christian monoculture swept over the land.
TĂĄltos knowledge below the cut. Please ask your own guides and ancestors if this is for you before using it.
I acknowledge that this is my personal gnosis, interpreted through a 21st century American mind. My tĂĄltos was also only one person living at the tail end of paganism being openly practiced in Hungary. (Before modern revival.)
My tĂĄltos's main job was to travel from village to village, going into trance to accomplish various tasks. This usually involved riding a giant eagle into the Upper World where he fought demons. (With a sword? Or perhaps he became the eagle and used his beak and claws)
The demons could represent many things-- disease in humans and crops, foul weather. Anything that made life difficult for humans, he could battle using trance.
I believe this involved drumming, although he didn't show me a drum so more research is needed. He did tell me a chant to enter trance:
Huld,
Huldulok
Which I believe translates to "Sleep, I am falling"? Which is funny to me because it calls to mind a 20th century hypnotist saying "You are getting very verry sleeeeeepy" - Magyar speakers, please correct me if I'm wrong.
While using this chant, he showed energy descending through the centers of the body which looked like gems. I was surprised by how similar this all was to grounding processes I'm already familiar with. Simpler, even.
A surprising learning I got from him was that he could not imagine doing what he did in the modern world with all the distractions. He was impressed with me? Which was humbling because he got to actually do this as a job. He was respected. And I have to squish my practice in around my underpaying, emotionally humiliating job. He reminded me that what we do as pagan ritual practitioners isn't insignificant. It's a huge sacrifice of our time and energy, and we are so holy.
At the end of my first meditation with him, he sat me by a fire where I went through some kind of initiation. There also stood Boldogasszony, the Blessed Lady who seems to have represented Mother Earth and, after Christianization, the Virgin Mary. I will share more once I am able to spend time with her.
To end on a fun note, the tĂĄltos was very impressed with the lavender essential oils I had used. He took the scent as a rare and valuable gift, and I think he appreciates it as a vehicle for trance. Might be useful for others communing with similar ancestors? đ

Embrace the Essence of Nature with Natural Perfume in India
In recent years, there has been a significant shift towards more sustainable and eco-friendly choices in all aspects of life, including personal care products. Among these, natural perfume in India has emerged as a popular choice for those who wish to indulge in luxurious fragrances without compromising on their commitment to a greener lifestyle. These natural perfumes, crafted from pure and organic ingredients, offer a unique and authentic scent experience that is both gentle on the skin and kind to the environment.
The Rise of Natural Perfumes in India
India has a rich history of using natural ingredients for beauty and wellness. From the ancient Ayurvedic practices to the use of essential oils in rituals and ceremonies, the Indian tradition of natural scents is deeply rooted in its culture. In recent years, this tradition has been revived in the form of natural perfumes that are free from synthetic chemicals, artificial fragrances, and harmful preservatives.
These natural perfumes are made using plant-based ingredients such as essential oils, floral extracts, and spices, which are blended to create a wide range of captivating scents. The growing awareness about the potential health risks associated with synthetic fragrances has further fueled the demand for natural alternatives in India.
Why Choose Natural Perfume in India?
Opting for a natural perfume comes with numerous benefits that go beyond just smelling good. Here are some compelling reasons to make the switch:
Chemical-Free Fragrance:
Natural perfumes are free from synthetic chemicals, phthalates, and parabens, making them a safer choice for your skin and overall health. These perfumes rely on the pure essence of flowers, herbs, and spices to create their unique scents.
Eco-Friendly and Sustainable:
The ingredients used in natural perfumes are often sourced from sustainable and organic farms, ensuring minimal impact on the environment. Additionally, many natural perfume brands in India use eco-friendly packaging, further reducing their carbon footprint.
Gentle on the Skin:
Natural perfumes are less likely to cause skin irritation or allergic reactions, as they do not contain harsh chemicals or artificial additives. This makes them suitable for people with sensitive skin or those prone to allergies.
Long-Lasting Scents:
Despite being made from natural ingredients, these perfumes often have a long-lasting fragrance. The natural oils used in their formulation have a slower evaporation rate, allowing the scent to linger throughout the day.
Unique and Personalized Scents:
Natural perfumes offer a more personalized scent experience, as the fragrance can interact with your body chemistry to create a unique aroma that is entirely your own.
Popular Natural Perfume Brands in India
Several Indian brands have embraced the trend of natural perfumes, offering a range of luxurious and eco-friendly options. Here are a few popular names to consider:
Forest Essentials:
Known for its Ayurvedic roots, Forest Essentials offers a collection of natural perfumes made from pure essential oils and botanical extracts. Their fragrances are inspired by ancient Indian rituals and are designed to balance the mind, body, and spirit.
Kama Ayurveda:
Kama Ayurveda is another brand that draws inspiration from traditional Ayurvedic practices. Their natural perfumes are crafted using 100% natural ingredients, including rare herbs and flowers, to create exquisite and timeless scents.
Auroville:
Auroville is a community in Tamil Nadu known for its commitment to sustainable living. Their perfume line features a range of natural scents made from locally sourced ingredients, reflecting the essence of the region.
Vaadi Herbals:
Vaadi Herbals offers an affordable range of natural perfumes that are free from synthetic additives. Their fragrances are created using essential oils and herbal extracts, providing a refreshing and invigorating scent.
Soulflower:
Soulflower specializes in handcrafted natural products, including a selection of natural perfumes. Their fragrances are made from cold-pressed oils and steam-distilled essential oils, ensuring the purity and potency of the scent.
How to Choose the Right Natural Perfume
Selecting the perfect natural perfume can be an enjoyable and rewarding experience. Here are some tips to help you find the right scent:
Understand Your Preferences:
Consider the types of fragrances you are drawn to, whether they are floral, woody, citrusy, or spicy. This will help you narrow down your options and choose a scent that resonates with your personal style.
Test the Fragrance:
Whenever possible, test the perfume on your skin before making a purchase. Natural perfumes can react differently with your body chemistry, so it's essential to see how the scent evolves over time.
Consider the Ingredients:
Look for perfumes made with high-quality, organic ingredients. Check the label for a list of essential oils, botanical extracts, and other natural components used in the formulation.
Think About the Occasion:

Revitalize Your Curls: The Magic of Oil for Natural Hair
Introduction
Natural hair, characterized by its unique and beautiful curls, coils, and kinks, has been gaining recognition and celebration in recent years. Many individuals are embracing their natural hair textures, and in doing so, they are discovering the importance of proper care and maintenance. Natural hair is diverse and can range from loose waves to tight coils, each with its own set of challenges and requirements. One of the most potent tools in revitalizing and maintaining natural hair health is the use of oils. These oils, packed with essential nutrients and moisture, possess the magic to transform dull, dry hair into vibrant, luscious curls. In this comprehensive guide, we will explore the world of oils for natural hair, helping you unlock the secrets to reviving and nourishing your curls, without endorsing any specific brands or products.
Understanding the Beauty of Natural Hair:
Natural hair, often referred to as afro-textured or textured hair, is a celebration of diversity and individuality. It defies the conventional beauty standards and represents a connection to heritage and culture. Understanding the uniqueness of natural hair is the first step in embracing and caring for it.
Challenges Faced by Natural Hair:
Natural hair comes with its own set of challenges that individuals must address to keep their curls healthy and vibrant:
Dryness: Natural hair has a tendency to be dry due to its structure, which hinders the even distribution of natural oils along the hair shaft.
Shrinkage: Natural hair can experience significant shrinkage, meaning that it appears shorter than it actually is when dry. This can be frustrating for those who desire length.
Tangles and Breakage: The curl pattern of natural hair can lead to tangles and knots, increasing the risk of breakage during detangling.
Scalp Health: Maintaining a healthy scalp is crucial for overall hair health. Issues like dryness, dandruff, and inflammation can affect natural hair.
The Magic of Oils for Natural Hair:
Oils have long been recognized as essential components of natural hair care routines. They offer a range of benefits that cater to the unique needs of textured hair:
Moisturization: Oils are excellent at moisturizing natural hair, providing essential hydration to combat dryness and prevent breakage.
Frizz Control: Oils help control frizz and add shine to natural curls, enhancing their overall appearance.
Detangling Aid: Some oils provide slip, making it easier to detangle natural hair and reduce the risk of breakage.
Strengthening: Certain oils can strengthen hair strands, promoting resilience and reducing breakage.
Popular Oils for Natural Hair:
A variety of oils are well-suited for natural hair, each with its unique properties and benefits. Here are some popular options:
Coconut Oil: Coconut oil is a beloved choice for natural hair due to its ability to penetrate the hair shaft and provide deep moisture. It also helps in reducing protein loss and promoting hair health.
Olive Oil: Olive oil is rich in antioxidants and vitamins, making it effective in moisturizing and softening natural hair. It also adds shine and manages frizz.
Jojoba Oil: Jojoba oil closely resembles the natural oils produced by the scalp. It is an excellent choice for maintaining moisture balance and promoting scalp health.
Argan Oil: Argan oil is known for its ability to reduce frizz, add shine, and repair damaged hair. It is rich in essential fatty acids and vitamin E.
Castor Oil: Castor oil is famous for its potential to promote hair growth and reduce hair breakage. It is particularly beneficial for strengthening natural hair.
Shea Butter: Shea butter is a natural emollient that provides deep moisture and is often used as a sealant to lock in moisture for natural hair.
Methods of Applying Oils for Natural Hair:
Incorporating oils into your natural hair care routine is straightforward and can be done in various ways:
Pre-Poo Treatment: Apply oil to your hair before shampooing as a pre-poo treatment. This helps protect your hair from the drying effects of shampoo.
Scalp Massages: Gently massage oil into your scalp using your fingertips to promote blood circulation and support a healthy scalp.
Hot Oil Treatment: Warm the oil slightly and apply it to your hair and scalp. Cover your hair with a shower cap and leave the oil on for about 30 minutes before shampooing.
Leave-In Conditioner: Some oils can be used as leave-in conditioners. Apply a small amount to your hair to keep it moisturized throughout the day.
Sealant: After applying a water-based leave-in conditioner, seal in the moisture with an oil to prevent it from evaporating and keep your curls hydrated.
Tips for Effective Use of Oils for Natural Hair:
Choose the Right Oil: Select an oil that aligns with your hair's needs and characteristics. Experimenting with different oils can help you discover the most suitable one for your hair.
Consistency is Key: To see significant results, consistency in using oils for natural hair is essential. Make it a regular part of your hair care routine.
Moderation: While oils are beneficial, using excessive amounts can lead to buildup. Use them in moderation to avoid heavy, greasy hair.
Heat Protection: When using heated styling tools, apply a heat protectant product to your hair to shield it from damage.
Scalp Health: Pay attention to scalp health by keeping it clean and moisturized. A healthy scalp is the foundation for healthy hair.
Conclusion:
The magic of oil for natural hair lies in their ability to rejuvenate, moisturize, and enhance the beauty of your curls. Embrace your natural hair journey with pride and confidence, knowing that you have the power to unlock the secrets to revitalized and luscious locks. By choosing the right oils, applying them effectively, and maintaining a consistent routine, you can transform your natural hair into a stunning expression of your identity and individuality. Celebrate the beauty of your curls, and watch them thrive and flourish.

4 Ways to Maintain Clear, Healthy-Looking Skin This Summer
From the beach to the backyard, you and your family love making the most of summer. Of course, the sun and high temperatures can influence the look and feel of your skin. But not to worry! There are plenty of ways you can keep your skin looking its best all summer long, starting with a gentle zinc sunscreen. Give your skin an advantage this summer with these four tips.
Choose Mineral Sun Protection
The importance of sun protection canât be overstated. It may be the number one way to maintain clear, healthy-looking skin, especially during the summer. Mineral sun protection, like a broad spectrum zinc sunscreen, can help keep the sunâs UVA and UVB rays at bay. Look for one with a formula full of plant-based ingredients that avoids potentially harsh ingredients.
While not all zinc sunscreens are created equal, you can trust a high-quality, EWG Verified⢠product to protect your skin in the heat of summer. A gentle formula is essential. It can ensure everyone can use sunscreen, even those who may have more sensitive skin. It can be one less thing you and your family have to worry about! You can apply sunscreen and then get out there and do what you love, whether itâs visiting the local pool, hiking, or simply enjoying a summer backyard barbecue!
Use Lightweight Facial Sunscreen
Sunscreen can be just as important for your face as it is for the rest of your exposed skin. However, some people may shy away from facial sunscreen because they worry itâll be too heavy or theyâre concerned about how it may impact their skin. So look for lightweight formulas that take these concerns into consideration, particularly during the summer. Some facial tinted sunscreen options can be highly effective while being lightweight and gentle for all skin types, including sensitive skin. Plus, some of the best come in a small, travel-friendly size perfect for upcoming trips.
Wash Away Buildup with Body Wash
Thereâs nothing quite like washing away the day with a lightly aromatic body wash. Over the course of a summer day, your skin can go through a lot. Itâs exposed to sun, dirt, and other impurities. At the same time, you may work up a sweat! This can all build up, which can lead to dull, tired-looking skin. So give your skin an advantage with a eucalyptus body wash. As you restore your skin with plant-based ingredients like shea butter and calendula, you can revive your senses with the refreshing scent of eucalyptus oil.
Moisturize Your Face and Body
Another great way to maintain clear, healthy-looking skin all summer long is to focus on hydration and moisturization. As you spend time enjoying the summer, the sun and warm air can pull moisture from your skin. It doesnât take long before the skin can start to look dry and tired. But when you moisturize your skin before heading out, you can change that. You can find lightweight SPF moisturizers, dedicated moisturizing creams, and body lotions. When you get into the habit of applying a moisturizer before enjoying a summer day, you can give your skin a hydrated advantage throughout the summer and beyond.

Those methods have been specially developed to get rid of dirt, stains, and impurity from leather without inflicting any damage. Experts use light cleansers and conditioners that regenerate the leather, reviving its suppleness and lustre, as opposed to strong domestic cleaners that may strip away its own oils and cause discolouration. This is why seeking the best leather cleaning services within your locality is always essential.
Restoration and Revival
Even the finest leather could accumulate scratches, scuffs, or discoloured spots over time. Professional leather cleaners not only cleanse your leather possessions but also restore them. They can repair and smooth out the appearance of flaws, restoring your leather products to its former glory. Cleaning professionals have the expertise to restore your leather, from minor scratches to colour touch-ups.

Body Rub History in Worcester, Massachusetts
The history of body rub and body rub therapy dates back to 2700 BCE. Body rub therapy was used in China as early as 2,700 BCE. Though, body rub and body rub therapy are likely to have roots further back than that.
The Egyptian tomb paintings from 2,500 BCE show that body rub therapy was used in medical treatment. Reflexology was also discovered by the Egyptian culture. This influence has been felt in other cultures such as the Romans, Greeks, and even the Greeks.
India is believed to have the oldest documented body rub therapy traditions. These traditions date back between 1,500 to 500 BCE. However, the practice could be as old as 3,000 BCE. Ayurvedic medicine was a practice that allowed for healing touch. It was first used by the Hindus. Ayurveda can be translated as life science, or life health. Ayurveda is a holistic form of medicine that uses aromatherapy, meditation, and relaxation techniques.
Monks began using body rub therapy in Japan around 1,000 BCE. Japanese monks were studying Buddhism at the time. They were familiar with traditional Chinese medicine's methods of healing, including body rub therapy. Many body rubs from China were brought to Japan to be adapted to Japanese culture. It was around this time that Shiatsu body rub was developed to increase energy levels.
Worcester Body Rubs were popularized in Japan not long after. In Greece, body rubs soon became popular. Between 800 and 700 BCE, it was a popular practice among athletes and philosophers. Many of these techniques grew from the Eastern body rub therapy.
Body rubs were a popular way for athletes in Greece to maintain their bodies and compete. Many doctors began to combine herbs and body rub techniques with athletes to provide them the many benefits they required. The benefits were obvious to women in Greece, who began using oils and body rubs as beauty treatments.
It took several centuries before body rubs became popular in Rome. It was used to treat many diseases and injuries. The majority of body rubs in Rome were based on Hippocrates' principles, which stipulated that exercise, healthy eating, and body rubs are essential for maintaining and restoring your body's health.
The wealthy Romans received treatment in their own homes, while the less fortunate were treated in public baths by trainers and doctors.
Between the 17th century and the 19th century, body rub therapy was popularized in Europe. Between the Roman Empire's years and the 1600s, body rubs were declining in popularity. Scientists and doctors recognized the benefits of body rub and began to use it again. The 19th century was the first to bring about improvements in body rub techniques.
Although body rub and body therapy have been around since the dawn of human history, they were not popularized in Western culture until the 1800s. With the Swedish Doctor Henril Lin, the Swedish Movement System was the place where it all began in West.
Ling created this system and it became the basis of the Swedish body rub we use today. Although Ling created the system, Johan George Mezger is actually responsible for the hand strokes that made up the Swedish body rub. This is the most popular type of body rub in the West.
Through the 20th century, body rub therapy has grown in popularity. Body rubs were used to treat nerve injuries and shell shock in World War I. It was not a common treatment and was only available to the wealthy for a few years. It was also a notorious part of the sex trade up until the second half 20th century.
The 1950s, 1960s, and 1970s saw a revival in body rubs in the United States. This became a popular option for people who wanted to heal their bodies without the use of drugs or other harmful treatments. Body rub therapy was often used by those looking for an alternative to traditional medicine.
Body rub therapy has become a mainstream practice, and Worcester bodyrubs have become pretty known. Many body rub providers offer a variety of techniques that draw on ancient methods. It is used all over the world to relieve, heal, relax, and provide a means of escape.

Beast can sustain his soul on anything that burns, but it's only edelwood oil that really properly nourishes him. He also has no sense of taste so he couldn't tell you what the treeified souls of people taste like.
He sings to lure victims, yes, but he also genuinely enjoys singing so often times he'll just sing to himself for no reason besides just pure enjoyment.
He's essentially viewed by the people of the Unknown as what the devil is to real world mythology, but he isn't literally the devil in the sense that people know of it. He doesn't rule over a hell-like realm or exist to punish people, and he's not a fallen angel. It would be more accurate to consider him a manifestation of the natural forces of death and decay. He isn't truly evil, as he's an ancient natural entity that exists beyond human morality. That being said, he does understand the concept of mischief and "being a jerk" and he'll engage in both for his own entertainment and to get back at those who annoy him.
His branches are not barren and they grow white oak blossoms in the spring and leaves in the summer. In the fall, they turn orange and red and yellow and gradually fall off until you get the barren antler-like branches of his winter form. He has no leaves in the series because his only appearances were in late autumn and winter, he'd already lost all his leaves by then.
His body is completely made of wood, and is also hollow. This is pretty much the reason he has to keep his soul outside of his body, since if he tried to put it back, he'd burn himself to cinders. Still no clue how he got that way in the first place but I think knowing would ruin the mystique.
He's cloaked in a perpetual shadow that can only be pierced by the light of his own soul. If he walks out into bright sunlight, he'll still look like a shadow monster.
He likes to watch the denizens of the Unknown celebrate during their various festivals and sometimes can be heard singing along from his place among the trees. Sometimes this scares the people into hiding, which always saddens him a bit because it means the celebration is over.
He's functionally immortal and while extinguishing his soul will put him in the ground, he can be revived if the lantern is lit again. His physical body can regenerate from damage so long as his soul is fed and is very difficult to cut even with an axe. He also feels no pain unless his soul is affected.

Anubis
Egyptian god of death, mummification, embalming, tombs, and burial grounds
Anubis (Egyptian: Anup, Yinepu, or Anpu) was the original King of the Dead until he changed roles and Osiris became King of the Underworld in his place. Because  of him being born by Nephthys, Anubis was raised by Isis in order for him and his mother to be protected from Set, who was enraged by Nephthysâ act of adultery against him. When Osiris became the new King of the Underworld, Anubis evolved to be more of a guardian and a psychopomp (one who guides spirits to the Underworld). Anubis is said to have fathered the goddess Qebhet with his wife Anput (Anubisâ feminine counterpart). He is most often depicted as a man with the head of a black Egyptian hound, holding an ankh and a flail (an agricultural tool of a shepherd), or in the complete form of an Egyptian hound. The colour black is significant due to it being associated with rebirth in Ancient Egypt.
The Journey through Duat: Anubis is the god who guards the gateway to Duat (the Underworld) and is one of the deities to assist in judging souls in the Hall of Maâat, making certain that no one wicked can pass on. It is said that once a mummy was sealed up, Anubis would come with the god Wepwawet and the two of them would guide the soul of the deceased towards the Hall of Maâat, where they would be judged. While the soul waits for their turn, Qebhet, goddess of cool waters and the daughter of Anubis, is said to come and attend to them. She would be joined by other goddesses such as Nephthys and Serqet, who all comfort and provide for the deceased person.Â
Once it is their turn, the soul then comes before the fourty-two judges and has to recite the Negative Confessions, claiming to be free or guilty of certain sins (which would change depending on the person). The spiritâs heart would then be placed upon the golden Scales of Truth to be weighed against a feather of Maâat, the goddess of truth and justice. If the heart was heavier than the feather, the spirit would be given the chance to justify any of their misdeeds, then the judges would deem whether the spirit should be allowed to move on. Anubis is then the one to guide the pure towards the paradise of The Field of Reeds, while the souls of the wicked would have their heart devoured by the goddess Ammit, causing them to be unable to move on and would then be subject to severe punishments.
Other roles: Anubis was also thought to be the inventor and guardian of mummification; watching over the embalming process of every mummy and granting permission to the priests who cut open the bodies. In the myth of Osirisâ death and resurrection, he can be seen assisting Isis and Nephthys in rebuilding and preserving the corpse of Osiris until he could be revived. He is also seen as the god of lost souls, including orphans, and is the one to help guide them towards peace since he is the âshepherd of the deadâ. Another role of this god is to watch over the resting places of the dead, punishing anyone who would dare desecrate the area. Thus, Anubis earned the epithet âHe Who is Upon the Mountainâ, as he was believed to protect the graves and tombs from high above where he could see all. Images of Anubis would be stamped on many of the seals to tombs in the Valley of the Kings, symbolizing the protection of Anubis against raiders and ill-wishers upon the dead. He was even known as the god who had knowledge of the mysteries of the afterlife, including the secrets of magic. Â
Personal experiences: Anubis is one of the most noble gods I have ever had the honour to meet. He is deeply compassionate, just, diligent, protective, and patient; among the finest of the Netjeru. He is also quite serious and withdrawn, and does not like stupidity or most jokes. Despite what Egyptologists have assumed, Anubis states that he does not actually take the form of a jackal, but of a black Egyptian hound. This is because he guards the dead with stern protection, whereas jackals eat the dead (and he doesnât look like a jackal at all either). Anubis is also one of the deities who strongly values their own evolution, so he travels through the dark in order to seek the light, and gradually changes for betterment. For this reason, he had stepped down from being the king of the Egyptian Underworld in order to evolve under a different role. It is true that he is the son of Osiris and Nephthys when these two gods had an affair; though despite this, Isis adores Anubis and does not hold anything negative towards him. The goddess Maâat also claims Anubis to be one of the most wonderful souls in existence due to his noble and generous nature. In addition, Anubis is to be treated with great respect (as all deities should) so do not call him anything insulting or refer to him as a dog, as this can invoke his wrath.Â
