Realizing I am highly influenced by cognitive distortion of emotional reasoning wrt "I'm made to feel like I'm a girl" -> "I FEEL like I'm a girl, so I must be until I feel MORE like a dude" and sort of throwing all my shit out the window immediately.
#Reading my CBT stuff my therapist sent me and honestly I think I do. all of them#But emotional reasoning cracked me open a little#And feeling ''more like a dude'' is entering an environment where I'm not misgendered/named#Which is usually like. My house and the internet lol#Either that or like looking in the mirror and shit#But it melts off when I re-enter the environment where I'm not gendered correctly. And makes me concede to it#Reacting with emotional interpretation instead of being headstrong about myself even just internally#But knowing the wording for this is helping me change that. It's nice to walk around and feel like myself at work#I think this is also something cis people can experience and can lead to like toxic masculinity#IE 'get called a girl -> act emotionally to prove manhood'#And I know I'm not like unearthing new shit here but it's interesting to connect these lines and see them#And what it's called and motivated by beyond this. What it looks like in others. It's interesting#I think this might even be something cis people have MORE of a problem with if I'm being honest

CW: family fluff, pregnancy NOTES: i wanted to write more batfam fluff this time with jason included. very sorry if jason is ooc, most of my knowledge of him comes from fics lol
Rainy Sunday afternoons at Wayne Manor were usually spent with you and your sons in the living room, occupying the big U-shaped sectional sofa. Sometimes Bruce would join you three, resting his feet on the coffee table as he worked on his laptop. Today was one of those days.
You were helping Dick do some research on the internet for a science school project that was due next week while Jason laid on his stomach on the other side of the couch, reading a Where’s Waldo? book by himself. Your husband sat in the other corner of the couch, doing some research on the latest villain terrorising Gotham. You didn’t mind if the work he was doing was for Batman, as long as he spent some time with the family outside of the cave, you were satisfied. Especially since the Wayne clan was about to expand in a little more than four months. Plus, with your belly growing bigger as the weeks went by, it was becoming harder for you to do some tasks around the house. Tasks that you didn’t want to ask Alfred for help with since it was your husband’s job to be at your beck and call through the pregnancy. Bruce obviously didn’t mind and loved helping you, he just sometimes tended to get lost in his Batman work for long periods of time.
The television was playing in the background, a football game between two teams that you didn’t really care about was taking place but you didn’t mind. You couldn’t work well without some sort of background noise and this was doing the job.
”So Dick, have you chosen which natural disaster to base your research project on?” Bruce asked your eldest while closing his laptop and joining him on his other side, making the twelve year old squished between his parents.
”We’ve narrowed it down to three: the 2011 Tōhoku earthquake and tsunami, the 1906 San Francisco earthquake and Hurricane Katrina,” Dick answered, clicking on different tabs of each of the natural disasters as he named them. “I want to do my research on a popular one so I can easily find all the information I need.”
”Smart, isn’t he?” You smirked at Bruce as you mindlessly threaded your fingers in Dick’s dark hair who continued scrolling on the internet.
“Never thought otherwise,” your husband said, mirroring your grin. “Jay, have you found all the Waldos yet?” He leaned forward to ask Jason.
“I’m almost done,” the six year old easily dismissed Bruce, not even bothering to tear his eyes away from the pages.
“It’s best not to bother him when he’s searching for Waldo,” you informed your husband in a low volume.
Bruce nodded his head in understanding and redirected his attention back on Dick. “So, how are you gonna make your choice, chum? You could write them down on three pieces of paper and do a draw,” he suggested, leaning his arm on the back of the couch behind Dick, his fingers playing with the neck of your tshirt.
“Dad, I don’t need to write it down on some paper,” Dick sighed, a little annoyed. “You can do that on the internet now.”
“You can?” Bruce asked, surprised. Your husband was really tech savvy when it came down to work related to Batman, but silly, random stuff like a drawing roulette was not part of his internet knowledge.
You leaned your head on your left hand that was propped on the back of the couch and soothingly rubbed your round belly with the other. You watched with a soft smile Dick showing Bruce how to generate a random picking wheel to spin on the internet. Moments like these were the ones you cherished the most, domesticity wasn’t always the norm around here when you had two vigilantes living under your roof so you always tried to savour them whenever they happened.
The calmness in you was interrupted when you felt movement under your right hand.
“Oh my God,” you whispered, eyes round like saucers as you looked down at your bump and raised up the hem of your shirt to make sure what you felt was right.
“What?” Bruce immediately turned his attention to you. “What is it? Is something wrong? Are you alright?”
“I think the baby just kicked,”you said, raising your head to meet his eyes.
“The baby just kicked?” He repeated in disbelief.
You shook your head ‘yes’ just as you felt more movement. “The baby kicked again.”
Bruce rapidly stood up to sit by your side while Dick discarded his laptop before placing a hand on your belly and Jason left his book to climb on your husband’s lap to be closer to you. All had a hand on your stomach, staring at it expectantly, waiting for another kick.
“I don’t know if the baby’s gonna kick again,” you told them.
“Well that’s just not fair,” Jason whined.
“We just need to be patient,” Bruce said. “I’m sure the baby will do it again.”
And sure enough he was right.
“Oh my God! I felt it! I felt the baby kick!” Dick exclaimed, though he kept the volume of his voice to a low level as if he would scare the baby away if he screamed.
“I wanna feel it too!” Jason cried.
“Here Jay, put your hand there,” you told your youngest as you gently grabbed his wrist and moved his hand to a different area of your belly, closer to Dick’s hand.
“Maybe if we keep talking, the baby will kick again,” Dick suggested.
“That’s true, babies can hear us from inside the mother’s belly,” Bruce agreed with him.
“They can?” Jason looked at you quizzically.
You chuckled at his confused face as you brushed his hair away from his forehead. “Yeah they can, it’s not completely soundproof in there,” you answered him.
“That’s why Dad is always talking to your belly?” Dick asked.
You fully laughed at this. “Yes, that’s why Dad talks to the belly. You can too if you wanna.”
“We can?” Dick perked up then leaned closer to your bump. “Hi baby, I’m Dick. Your big brother,” he said.
Jason also leaned forward. “And I’m Jason, I’m also gonna be your big brother.”
“Yeah but I’m the big big brother, I’m the oldest,” Dick argued.
“But I’m gonna be a big brother too!”
“Boys,” Bruce intervened. “No arguing around your mother. The baby will hear enough of that when it joins our lives, let it have its peace while it’s in the womb.”
A series of kicks started at that moment, making Dick and Jason gasp in surprise at the movements they felt under their hands. Bruce turned to you and the two of you shared a look full of love.
“That’s our baby,” he said to you, almost in a whisper, while Dick and Jason continued marvelling at the fact they could feel their sibling.
“That's our baby,” you repeated in confirmation. Nothing could've erased the smiles on both of your lips.
“I love you,” Bruce said against your forehead before leaving a soft kiss there and pulling away to share a short peck on the lips with you.
“Ew! Gross!” Jason interrupted your moment. Your sons weren’t the biggest fans of you and Bruce’s displays of affection for each other.
You giggled at the boys’ antics but still took a second to say “I love you” back to your husband.
“Someone should get Alfred so we can share this moment with him,” you suggested to the kids.
“Not it!”
“Not it!”
Jason and Dick quickly shouted, the former being the fastest to say it.
Dick groaned before he stood up from the couch and jogged out of the living room. The faster he would find Alfred, the faster he would be back next to you. “Alfred! The baby is kicking for the first time!” Dick called through the manor for your butler.
“He knows he doesn’t need to scream, right?” Bruce asked you. “Alfred can hear the boys break something all the way from the other side of the house.”
“Oh, let him be. He’s just very excited about the baby kicking,” you lightly reprimanded him with the corner of your mouth pulling up in a smirk.
You detached your gaze from your husband down to Jason who now had both of his small hands on your belly, his mouth in the shape of an ‘O’ and his eyes round with wonder in them.
“This is so cool,” he said, barely above a whisper.
“Looks like you’re gonna have some competition Jay, that baby sure is kicking a lot,” Bruce jokingly commented as the kicking didn’t stop.
You chuckled as you remembered all the times you’d stop by the gym room to find Jason relentlessly kicking at Bruce’s punching bag. For a six year old, he already had so much anger pent up inside his little body and it worried you sometimes. But ever since Bruce brought him back to the Manor, Jay had been getting better. The amount of vases thrown at the wall had drastically decreased since then, both to yours and Alfred’s reliefs, and he instead would run to the gym room and let out his anger on the punching bag when needed.
“I can’t wait to play fight with you,” Jason whispered loudly to your belly with a smile.
“No,” you immediately said.
“Best you stick to play fighting with Dick for a couple more years, buddy,” Bruce told your son.
Jason pouted. “But he's always pulling some acrobatic shit–”
“Language!” You scolded him.
“But Ma! Dad and Dick say it all the time!” Jason cried out defensively. “That’s not fair,” he retracted his hands from your belly to cross his arms over his chest.
“Well Dad and Dick, and you too apparently, will not be saying words like that around the baby,” you warned. “Capiche?”
“Capiche,” Jason mumbled.
“Capiche?” You repeated, now glaring at your husband.
“Hey, I’ve really been refraining on the bad words ever since Dick joined us,” Bruce argued but you raised your eyebrows in a way that said this wasn’t what you wanted to hear. “Capiche,” Bruce sighed out, knowing he wasn't going to win this fight.
“Master Dick, slow down a little. There’s no need for running,” you heard Alfred’s voice approaching down the hall.
“But Alfred, the baby is kicking!” Dick reiterated.
Your oldest ran in the living room, his hand firmly holding Alfred’s who tried to keep up behind him.
“I heard you the first ten times, Master Dick, the baby will still be there no matter how fast we get there,” Alfred argued.
“Yeah but it might stop kicking,” Dick said and the two sat on the couch to your unoccupied left.
“Don’t worry chum, the baby’s still kicking,” Bruce told him while looking fondly at your belly.
“Please Alfred, feel the baby,” you said to your butler with an inviting smile, grabbing his hand that rested on his knee and gently squeezing it. “We want you to be part of this moment too.”
Alfred’s hand joined the others on your bump and the old man smiled at you and Bruce as he felt the tiny bumps moving around under your skin. “This is sensational.”
“Isn’t it?” You smiled back at him, content to have everyone you wanted to share your baby’s first kicks with.
Your little family of five (soon-to-be six) remained on the couch until the baby grew tired and stopped kicking, much to Dick and Jason’s dismay. Alfred went back to his tasks, the boys to their laptop and book, and Bruce wrapped his arm around your shoulder as you cuddled next to him, watching over your children and just enjoying the normalcy of this Sunday afternoon.
Domesticity used to be rare at the Wayne Manor, but not anymore. And you, for one, were very happy about it.

For the last couple weeks I've been drawing logos / designs for local-ish (mostly NJ, some PA and NY) bands as warmups in the morning. Here's what I've come up with! Massive post below the break explaining each logo + where to find each band and listen to their music.
Teenage Halloween- a staple of New Jersey basements for probably about a decade now and finally getting wider recognition in the last couple years. Pop punk / power pop with a killer horn section. First time I saw them was in New Brunswick playing with Walter Etc. and Blowout. They played a killer cover "Build Me Up Buttercup" and my wife got a black eye in the pit. Recommended tracks: "Brain Song," "666," "Clarity." Their first EP is on a separate bandcamp page btw, check it out here it's great.
Sweet Pill - They will call themselves a Philly band but in my heart they'll always be from Glassboro. Definitely one of the more recognizable names on this list. Emo revival - early stuff is more twinkly, more recent stuff is heavier. All of it's great. Recommended tracks "Nephew," "High Hopes."
Shark Club - Central Jersey's finest. I'm very biased because I actually know these dudes and they did the music for my wedding. Some of the best pop punk you'll hear and the nicest people you'll meet. Recommended tracks: "Game Theory," "Bill Murray," "Heavens to Betsy."
Rest Ashore - My favorite band for the last (oh God I'm old now) eight years. From gut-wrenching emo ballads to virtuoso math-rock instrumentals they do it all. One time I got to sing vocals on "Lucy's Theme" at a house show- thank you Erica! Recommended tracks: "Hjarta," "Chinese Opera," "Devotion," "Soyuz Sweetheart." Too many bangers to name honestly, just deep dive their discography.
Morus Alba - First band I ever went to see at a house show and still one of my absolute favorites. Their music feels like the bridge between the best pitchfork, /mu/ alt rock bands and high energy basement emo. I mean that as a compliment and I hope it comes off as one lol. I should note that since 2019 Morus Alba has morphed from a band into an experimental hip-hop project so later releases sound radically different and basically disconnected from the earlier stuff. Also my favorite release from them, Live at Isabelle's, has been scrubbed from the internet but if you'd like the files just email me. Recommended tracks: "Skyscraper," "Human Resources," "The Goodnight Waltz."
Have a Good Season - another Jersey mainstay that's still going strong. Emo revival in their earlier releases, now with more 70s power pop influences in their newer stuff. See them live, they put on a fantastic show and usually play some great covers in addition to their original music. HaGS guys if you're reading this, please put your version of "Since You've Been Gone" online, I'm begging you. Recommended tracks: "Joseph / Shel Silverstein," (you have to listen to them together for the drop, so good) , "Gum, "Gleaux / Scab." Also, frontman Nic Palermo interviewed me once.
Elephant Jake - If you see any of these bands live make it EJ, they put on such a damn good show. Electrifying indie punk from the Empire State. Recommended tracks: "F.D.C." "Sarah Moyer," "Goodness to Honest," and of course you gotta learn "Sebastien Bauer" for the singalongs.
Blind Lion - Sadly one of the greats that we lost along the way. Defunct since about 2017. I only got to see them once but it was a great performance. Alongside their own stuff they played some killer covers of "Bad Moon Rising" and "Moonage Daydream." I had trouble doing a logo design for them because I actually really like the composition, if not the "Ed Hardy-ness," of their existing logo so what you see here are two separate attempts, neither of which feels entirely satisfying to me. Frontperson Larry Flately currently plays in Nematode and also handled production of Bradley Gardens joke hiphop group The Breakfast Boiz under the moniker "DJ Ova EZ." Recommended tracks: "Brumous," "Dinner."
Fighting Seasons - A band that I sadly found out about too late (via a sticker under the bridge in my town which has since been painted over). 2010s pop punk that packs a helluva punch, especially considering that I'm pretty sure the members were high schoolers for most of the band's existence. I think some members may have gone on to form Sawce (FFO Chon, Polyphia, that type of music) but I can't remember where I read/heard that so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. Recommended tracks: "Fighting Seasons," "Oil on Canvas"
Milkmen- Another fallen giant, officially disbanded in 2019. Like Morus Alba, they played the very first house show I attended and their few releases remain on constant rotation in my home. Used to put on a great show and were one of the bands I always thought would make it big until suddenly they weren't around anymore. Frontman Ben Thieberger contributed guitar and vocals to Covid quarantine project Kin if you're looking for a bit of an extra fix but beyond that I don't know what these guys are up to these days, sadly. Recommended tracks: "Ramus," "Johnny Dangerously," "how sieves catch breeze," "K.O.T.H."
Stand and Wave - New York (now Philly) pop punkers delivering instant dopamine hits with every track. Another great live act, see them with EJ if you can! They often play shows together. Recommended tracks: "Convos," "Mrs. Dash," "Splashton Kutcher," "Michael Collins."
My Chemical Romance - You know who they are. While I was drawing all these other logos I ran a poll on Patreon to decide which famous New Jersey band should also be graced with a drawing from me. MCR won the poll by a hefty margin so unfortunately you won't get to see me do an illegible black metal take on Hoboken's Yo La Tengo. I ended up doing two versions: the one with the halo is the first, the one with the bats was the second. I tried to do something kind of thin and elegant with the first one and I don't think it's terrible but I also wasn't quite satisfied with it. For the 2nd attempt I tried to lean into the kind of pulpy, almost horror punk aesthetic of early MCR and I think that one looks better even if it's less original.
Anyway if you took the time to read through all this, thank you very much! And please support these bands! Also If any of the links aren't working please let me know.

Astrology Observation pt. 2
(Thank y’all for all the support on my first one❤️🙌🏾)
*as a sag Venus sag mars pls stop asking me why I’m laughing…I’m not laughing at YOU I’m just insane😝
*moon in the 1st synastry is so therapeutic you just feel really comfortable opening up to the 1st house person and as the 1st house person I feel honored someone trusts me enough to share their feelings🫶🏾
*people w aqua and libra in their big three are the chillest mfs you’ll ever meet. Even though I’m very chaotic anytime someone describes me “chill” just seems to be thrown in there. We space out ALOT and it’s honestly embarrassing😭 Ex: Alicia keys, lil Wayne, Harry styles, Rosalia. Harry gives such himbo energy in interviews and they drag him for it in the comments but he’s probably just thinking about multiple things at once. Alicia keys didn’t even realize lil mama was on that stage and went on performing lol. Obviously lil Wayne smokes but something about his energy…he’s on cloud 9. And just go watch Rosalia’s chicken shop episode💕😂.
*honestly Aries mars aren’t that bad when it comes to temper because usually they find ways to manage it. Now mars-Uranus aspects is a completely different story. I have late mars-Uranus and it takes me a while to get mad but when I do I can’t even think anymore. My old roomie had a tight square and she would blow up on people for no actual reason like girl sit down😭
*something about Scorpio mars men is just😮💨 they have such a sneaky energy to them that makes them stand out. Virgo mars are fine too they’re just so skinny and no matter wtf they do they’re always nerdy ugh (ex: Matthew gray gubler, Lucky daye, Dylan O’Brien, Jeff Buckley)
*i noticed Aries moon don’t really get along w each other. They find their own energy to be too mf much (which it can be) so they prefer being around more calmer people *coughs* libra moons like me. They wanna be bouncing off the walls 🤪 while their friend is just like 🙂.
* fire risings do a lot of things fast. As an Aries rising, I walk fast, get happy fast, eat fast, workout fast. My cousin is complaining her sag rising toddler eats and drinks way too fast.
*venus in 11th…how many tiktok drafts do y’all got😭
*i talked to this guy who had similar placements as me (Venus in 8th and moon in 6th plus Aquarius and Aries placements) It was so chaotic it was literally us going back and forth obsessing over eachother while trying to keep it lowkey. But also the amount of anxiety we are naturally incline to have made the whole situation too mf much.
*i have mercury conjunct my friends mars and for years she tells me the things I say can take people there and make them wanna fight me. It’s in Capricorn and so I was confused before I knew we had that aspect
* i noticed rappers whose lines always stick out to me have Gemini mars or mercury- mars (central cee, king von, tupac, kendrick , j. cole)
*i was talking to this guy and I had Venus and mars plus pluto in his 4th house. Months after we stopped talking our friend groups meshed and he would tell me non-stop I reminded him of his mother. He said she was the same height as me and y’all I was scared to ask what she looked like cause 😫 y’all remember that episode of family guy when Chris dated that girl that looked like Lois yep 4th house synastry.
*im a true crime whore and two women who killed their bfs had sun-Uranus aspects. Their energy was erratic and very off putting in videos. I can’t remember the other one but Courtney tailor/clenney was one.
* More spilling my business on the Internet😍 i think I’m done entertaining people my age. Pluto in the 8th, Lilith in 1st, and Venus conjunct Pluto synastry has been hell. Where’s my sugar daddy/mama?? It’s ghetto out here
*gemini Lilith generation whose a year younger than me is nasty asf😭 esp the tauruses they have their Lilith conjunct their Gemini Venus and opposite their Pluto. One said he had a slept w two girls at separate times. He didn’t know they met until the girls posted a selfie together and tagged him. They later told him they wanted a threesome and he did it😭 knowing astrology I believed every word
* sidebar Neptune-asc people and trying to give off innocent vibes ugh annoying asf to me. I can see right through their bs but they’re able to fool most people.
* mercury-Pluto aspects are in fact LIARS and throw a Scorpio placement in there😮💨

Requesting for the main skellies, how was their first experience during a typhoon after moving to the surface?
I hope everyone is doing ok after the last ones <3 We're lucky we don't have extreme things like this in France, but we got pretty bad storms too the previous weeks. I had huge leaks in my room x-x Always fun to wake up because it's raining in your bed.
Undertale Sans - He was not too sure what was going on and kinda followed what the news said: go buy food and water in case there's no electricity anymore and evacuate if it turns bad. He kinda roamed in his house aimlessly as the walls literally shook with the wind, so nervous about if it was going to hold on or not. Eventually, he decides to shortcut to Toriel's house lol. She's an adult, she knows better lmao. Sans doesn't trust himself with all the responsibility things at the moment. He feels safer knowing a bigger monster has his back if something bad happens.
Undertale Papyrus - He got surprised by the beginning of the storm while he was hiking with Undyne. Sure, they knew it was going to be windy, but they didn't know typhoon meant the literal apocalypse outside??? Is that why everyone was freaking out? After trying to go back home, they decide to give up and retreat to the Underground while it passes. They just sit in the old throne room, wondering how the hell they're going to warn Sans and Alphys with no internet or phone network. At least they have sandwiches so it's not all bad. They'll know next time!
Underswap Sans - Blue is in service, and even if he's really scared as he keeps seeing people badly hurt and random things get carried away in the wind, he can't really focus on how he feels. He has too much work, trying to keep everyone safe and rescuing imprudent monsters that were not sure what to expect, like that poor Flowey that ended up on a roof somehow, very confused about what happened. He's going to be exhausted by the end of the typhoon.
Underswap Papyrus - He had to evacuate. He looked at the window and the river was fine. But then he looked again and the river was almost reaching his door. He picks up his three dogs and leaves, water already reaching his knees. All his service dogs are alerting him his anxiety is rising and he's not sure how to explain to them the treats he's giving them usually are under a meter of water in the house. He shortcuts to Asgore's place, which is on a hill. A lot of monsters had the same idea though so the place is crowded lol. Every small HP monster wants to cling to the big HP monsters in case something attacks them lol. Honey just sits in a corner with his dogs and tries not to think too much about the state of his house, which doesn't help with his dogs warning him he has anxiety every two minutes lol. He's not sure he's going to be able to calm down on his own this time.
Underfell Sans - Red is definitely not having a good time. He's completely paralyzed, hiding under the sink in a small ball and closing his eye sockets very hard hoping it's going to stop soon. There's water in the house, and loud noises everywhere outside, and he's completely frozen with panic and terror. Red is sure he's going to die any minute now, that some rock is going to crush him or something, even if that makes no sense since he's not Underground anymore. After trying to call him for two hours, Edge gets worried and slams his door open, starting to pack his things and searching for him. He knows his brother is useless in this weather, so he takes things into his own hands. He finally finds him after ten minutes, and Red immediately clings to him, all his bones rattling. Edge brings him to his home, and puts him in his closet, in the dark, in a soundproofed room. Red slowly calms down, but he refuses to leave his safe room until the typhoon is over.
Underfell Papyrus - Edge is not too confident, but he tries to keep a clear mind and not panic. He packs all of his stuff in the car in case he needs to evacuate, and that's two hours he's carrying Doomfanger in his arms and petting her to comfort her (and definitely not himself). He tries reading and relaxing, knowing he's normally in a pretty safe area, but he can't stop thinking about how worse the situation could be. Eventually, he decides to stress cook, except the electricity gives up mid-baking and now his cake is ruined and he's still stressed. He hopes it's going to end soon.
Horrortale Sans and Papyrus - Oak and WIllow brought all the animals inside the house because they're near a river, but the house is on a hill and safer. Willow then grabbed Toriel and Grillby to bring them to safety, and now it's... Something. Oak is cuddling in a pile of rabbits and guinea pigs, growling at the sky. Toriel is trying to comfort a baby cow by carrying it around like a human baby. Grillby thinks he's never going to end up cleaning poop, and Willow is stress cooking for 30 people with the 20 barn cats meowing in his feet because they're hungry even though they ate five minutes ago. That's going to be a few interesting days.
Swapfell Sans - Nox is so anxious. He's forced to stay with the Queen as part of his duty when all he wants is to go home to check on Rus. He's stressed, jumping at any sounds and he tries so hard to forget he's going to stay alone with the Queen for a few days. He knows that she will get bored at some point and lash out at him just to find something to do, and Nox is not sure he can take it. He never hated her more than now. He just wants to go home to be with his family.
Swapfell Papyrus - That's fine. No, that's not. The ground floor has drowned under three meters of water. He's in his bed on the first floor, listening to music with what's left of his phone battery and pretending really hard he's not terrified right now. He can't see the end of the river anymore by the window. Everything is a river now. And Nox is still not home and he can't call him, so he doesn't even know if his brother is alive. Rus is not having a good time and eventually gets the scare of his life when a fireman randomly knocks at his window to evacuate him. Yes, please! He never had been so happy to see people when he got evacuated from a sports all. He's talking and clinging to everyone just to not be alone. He's still terribly worried about his brother though.
Fellswap Gold Sans and Papyrus - He refuses to leave the house. He doesn't care if he's floating on his couch above a meter of water, he's not leaving. He's already so mad about all the cleaning he's going to have to do, he's not going to worry about leaving the house. He decided he's going to float on his couch eternally and he didn't care if they're 20 firemen in the house begging him to listen to them. Leave him alone! He hisses at all of them, protecting his couch. Seeing his brother so stubborn and desperate to leave the house with the rescuers, Coffee summons a huge bone and slams it on his brother's head lol. He then quickly begs the ambulance to take them both away. Wine wakes up in a helicopter, so mad, and pouts the rest of the day. Coffee clings to the nice lady who took him there and won't let go of her. He's so happy he's out and she keeps feeding him treats so she's his best friend he decided.

The weird forest of Portland and Salem .🐈⬛
this is my au it’s a little fanonish but more of just my thoughts but heavily inspired by @freezingmcxn since she’s just so amazing!
……………………………………………………………………………………………………………
Everyone knew Salem was an odd town from the old witch trials to signs of millions of killers and body’s being found in their forest .
I thought that was cool lol
Now for the full breakdown here’s my amazing little AU 😀!
since I did say it was a little fanonish I will say there’s a big ol’ broken down mansion in the deep deeeeeeeep forest which can be only be seen in a few ways . It looks a little like the house from coraline but instead of pink it’s black with mud all over the walls , dirt , and articles of the killings .
where all the creeps or proxies actually stay are little cabins usually hidden by big trees and previous owners killed .
although the creeps and proxies have the cabins many of them prefer to move around the woods and look for victims , food , or just can’t be in the small little cabins especially busy with orders from the tall man .
CREATURES .
whoever dares to go into the eerie forest will surely meet the forest creatures.
SEEDEATER.
he’s a feral , mysterious entity that hunts off the youth like children and teens.
even adults still are not safe from this monster , the only times seeing him calm his when he’s with JACK maybe considering devouring you or keeping you alive for the sake of JACKS calmness .
( not that great of describing him but to read more about him read “Through the trees “)
WIDE MOUTHED DOG.
The wide mouth dog also know as “smile dog” has been and internet legend in Salem for years and is a tale every man , woman or child has been warned about .
The wide mouth dog as been said to be seen around the skirts of Portland. Following the always smiling dude.. or what the people of Portland call em’ .
They don’t know much about that wide mouth creature but soon they will.
.THE TALL MAN
The tall man they call him has been around for decades terrorizing and keeping fear wherever he goes .
He who orders around the violent and dangerous killers of the woods who leaves fear in everyone for decades
why is he that way?..No one knows but that small little lady in ..
(cliffhanger el o el )
TALL MANS CULT .
So this cult will connect back to the Salem witch trials because they’re my hyper fixation right now!
so back then many women were accused of witchery and sacrificing children , teens , adults .
by I would say in maybe September 1590 children started disappearing from houses and would be found in the outskirts burned with little remaints of their clothing . Or their arms slit aswell as their neck and a symbol that was said to be a circle with a X through it .
and as one would do during this time they blamed mothers , female neighbors , any female close to the child . Since they couldn’t really believe a man could do such.
But oh one man , That only went by the name of “The silent man” . The silent man was a filthy rich man who killed woman after using them and had a secret fetish of killing little girls , soon little boys.
Very few members were in the cult at the time due to the fact many were sacrificed .
Soon “ The silent man “ went manic and killed everyone he could lay his eyes upon
Wondering what he did with the bodies ? , He simply ate what he wanted . Genitals , brains , hearts , livers .
But no one knows where he might’ve gone only JACK the quiet mans sacrifice , beloved
child.
this is butt BUTTT I’m tired (haha get it)
I’m dyslexcic

So full disclosure, I actually listened to episode 7 on Saturday, but this episode had so damn much to it and I got a bit side tracked by a theory that I'm still working on but I really want to get this out before episode 8 comes out.
As usual, if you want to see the continuously updated and reblogged version of my red string board, you can find it here.
Today is Tuesday, 2/27/24. Episode 7 came out 5 days ago on 2/22/24.
“Talkers”
Norris (Voice: Martin?/ Alex)
Episode 1: “Reanimation (Partial) -/- Regret [Email]”. The Stranger? The End? The Dark? The Lonely? The Flesh? Arthur (Nolan?).
Episode 3: "Infection (full body" -/- Arboreal [Journal entry]". The Spiral? (Paranoia? Auditory, visual and olfactory hallucinations) The Lonely? The Corruption. The Flesh? (Callbacks to the Flesh Garden from S5)
Common Themes: Hearing the voice of a dead/ missing loved one?
Chester (Voice: John?/ Jonny)
Episode 1: “Transformation (eyes) -/- Tresspass [chat log]”. Magnus Institute, The Eye. (Involves a forum; the Web?).
Episode 5: "Disappearance (undetermined) -/- Invitation [Internet blog]". The Eye (Movies. Movie name: "Voyeur" "Must be seen to be believed"...). The Web? (Another website?). (Very reminiscent of Mag 110: Creature Feature.) The "poor old guy" at the theater is totally an Eye avatar, right? Kinda gives me "Simon Fairchild when he was first introduced" vibes.
Episode 7: "Agglomeration (miscellany) -/- congregation [email]". The Stranger. The Burried. The Desolation. Possibly all of them if my theory about the items the Volunteers brought in is correct...
Unsure if this is Eye related like the other statements were. This is also the first "Chester" statement where the source material wasn't from a website or blog, which don't have the same expectation of privacy that the sources of the other statements do. Email, though, so still internet related, and this seems to be an open letter rather than personal correspondence, so it still might align with the theme.
Agustus: (rare?)
Episode 4: “Collection (blood) -/- musical [letter]” The End. The Lonely? The Slaughter.
Letter writer thinks passing on his violin might allow a part of himself to live on in his nephew. Very Jonah Magnus of him.
Music teacher hears “faraway music”, then goes crazy and throws himself out of the carriage and dies. Reminiscent of Mag7 and the Piper? The merchant’s wares include dice (Mag 29?). Got the violin from him (took his blood?). Effect of the violin reminiscent to Grifter’s Bone (Mag 42).
(Oliver Bardwell lol very funny guys)
Non-Talkers (?)
Episode 2: "Transformation (full) -/- dysmorphic [video call]". The Spiral? The Flesh. The Stranger. Ink 5oul (avatar/ entity?)
Episode 6: "Injury (needles) -/- intimidation [999 call] "Corruption? The Spiral? The Flesh? The End?
"Needles" reminds me of Michael!Distortion.
Notes and Thoughts:
"It's not like we're dealing with Tape Recorders..." I'm side eying you real hard, Celia. And what's with all of the questions? The "looking for patterns" question is 100% fair but those examples are AWEFULLY SPECIFIC. I wasn't entirely sure I bought the idea that Celia was the same Celia from TMA, but no this is totally her for sure. "DO YOU KNOW WHO JOHN" IS EXCUSE ME? WHAT REAL STUFF?
HILLTOP CENTER BRANCH?!!! 0 managerial or other support from HR; very reminiscent of the weird circumstances surrounding the house on Hilltop Road. Bear skin rug very reminiscent of the Gorilla Skin in TMA S3. The Volunteers remind me of the medical students from Mag34. The email is about events from 2015. This was the same year Gertrude died and John became the Head Archivist in TMA. Why am I not seeing anyone else talk about this?
I have a theory that I was originally going to put in this post but detangling that giant ball of red string entirely is taking too long so I'm just going to put the TL'DR here and maybe make a proper list later if I can ever finish pulling the string on that particular red sweater. Between the items the Volunteers bring in, and the events of the incident itself, what if every single Entity is represented? The gunshots that were heard were the Slaughter. The fire was the Desolation. The person who wrote the email being crushed by all of the items was the Buried. There are a number of artifacts that get listed off that could represent at least one if not multiple Entities (which might be their purpose; considering how many times the fact that the categorization was imperfect got brought up in TMA, it's probably more helpful to view them as a spectrum more than anything else), including some that are very reminiscent of things from specific TMA statements (The bear skin rug -> The Gorilla skin, Old medical equipment -> the syringe in mag 45? The telescope -> Maxwell Rayner was originally Edmond Halley, the Astronomer, etc. etc). So...okay, hear me out: what if this was all part of a ritual, and that's what the "good cause" was? A ritual that involved all of the fears being represented? Sound familiar? Except instead of it being a ritual to start an apocalypse or reshape the world in the image of one or more of the fears, what if it was a ritual to summon something that was associated with all of the fears? Or, rather, what if it was a ritual to summon someone who had been touched by all of the fears? And that's also why so many of the items seem to be analogous to things from statements and events from TMA? Like....maybe I'm wrong entirely. Or maybe I'm right about this being about summoning someone, or something, (maybe someone from TMA? Maybe Celia?), but wrong about it being John who was being summoned. But, again, this incident took place in 2015, which was the same year Gertrude died and John became head Archivist, and I feel like this means something.

Chapter 45 Uh, Seriously?! Posting
So! Full speed ahead it is, internet void! What a dense chapter.
First up, John Hishaku and the Samurai Murderer Guy that was at Chihiro's house in chapter 2.
Guess we'll see more of him soon, how fun! It's not quite clear how many people are talking here, but Hishaku scheming is afoot and the game is on. The only question is how fucked the Kamunabi is going to be by the end of the arc IMO.
And don't think I missed that vase reappearing. My nemesis. The spiky boi on the mid-left drove me insane as soon as the raws dropped but I would like to tentatively propose that it is a kiku (chrysanthemum). Different colors have very different meanings so I still admit defeat on that front. But kiku are usually associated with mourning or Imperial imagery, so that's cool. I demand a treat if this flower arrangement turns out to be the world's subtlest hint that the Hishaku are related to an old regime or breakaway faction of the government.
But yeah... so much cuteness this week. Very welcome after the rich drama from the past few chapters.
Boys who commit patricide together fall asleep mid-conversation wake up together, apparently. And for all the fan artists/fanfic writers out there, it's now canon that both of them are wearing long-sleeved shirts under the other layers. I was kind of hoping for Chihiro to be wearing one of his dad's shirts but this is more in character...
Fine, okay, it's probably for convenience's sake since apparently these guys can only rest for one night before jumping into the lion's den. But I'm flabbergasted by their soulmate coding. I kind of expected Hakuri to pass out, but Chihiro conking out at the same time in the same pose is too damn cute! Barely over a week together and they've already perfectly synced their sleep schedules and postures lol.
I find it deeply amusing that the entire flashback sequence at the end of chapter 44 was purely for the reader's benefit though. Seriously! Hakuri asked Chihiro "So... what comes next?" and then they both immediately passed out sitting up. So the last four pages were there just to spare us from even more infodumping in this chapter, which is much appreciated.
That's something that Hokazono-sensei also did at the end of the vs. Sojo arc in chapter 18. 10 pages to him exploding, 7 to the situation at the Kamunabi (which will now come into play! EXCELLENT LAYERING OF DETAILS!). I don't know if I'm smart or educated enough to do a full analysis on the techniques he's using, but I love the style. He doesn't let the emotional points linger too long or waste a single goddamn panel in this manga. Yeah, I want more time with the characters outside of serious plot moments, but there's not much else for me to complain about. The need isn't particularly dire anyway since every scene is efficient in giving us characterization and info at the same time (example later this rant).
So yeah. Thanks to that excellent pacing decision, we get to witness this crowning moment of heartwarming:
LOOK AT THESE DORKS. LOOK AT THEM. I LOVE EVERY SINGLE ONE. Thank you for this moment of Team Goldfish x Hiyuki and Tafuku bliss.
And look at the food on the table! Hiyuki and Tafuku have earned a measure of trust with Team Goldfish! Just a bit, but Shiba definitely wouldn't have let them stay the night and eat with them if he felt they were dangerous.
It's also so sweet that Char's comfortable sitting in big bro Tafuku's lap... she's come a long way since her debut as a scared, scruffy orphan. Wonder where the gang is hanging though. Someone's apartment, I guess? A nearby hotel? More insignificant details this annoying reader wants to know...
TW for SF5-era tournament enthusiasts: That Stage appears in the first panel.
Did anyone have bets on Shiba wrecking Hiyuki in Street Fighter while waiting for Hakuri and Chihiro to wake up? I didn't, but I love it. And this scene highlights something I've really come to appreciate about Kagurabachi's writing: it's incredibly efficient. Almost every scene has more than one thing being conveyed at a time. For instance, here we learn that Hiyuki sucks at Street Fighter compared to Shiba but is too stubborn to quit (comedy & character consistency) and still doesn't know he's ex-Kamunabi (serious). This in turn tells us that Shiba's probably got something to hide from active Kamunabi personnel. After all, it's not like the org itself is a secret, and we wouldn't see Hiyuki questioning him twice if his circumstances weren't suspicious. So Shiba's subplot thickens while we laugh at the gag- peak efficiency.
The cuteness, though... the sweetness of this chapter, man!
Chihiro respecting Yuu's nickname and correcting Hakuri with such a gentle expression is incredibly adorable. He's so relaxed here... but oh wait, there's... chibi Hakuri and Chihiro apologizing for worrying Uncle Shiba?!
Chihiro and his new #1 enabler owe more than an apology but it's good enough for now.
This break wasn't quite long enough to reset the tension in my opinion, but it absolutely delivered on character moments. We definitely needed this after all the big feels from the previous few chapters. I wish there was more time devoted to letting us calm down before ramping up again but what we got here is pretty good.
And so we jump feet-first into laying the groundwork for the Kamunabi arc. A nice, efficient recap of the situation leads us into some additional context and a surprising bit of Shiba characterization. Whatever beef he's got with the Kamunabi feels quite personal for a guy who plays it cool and loose most of the time. We know he's glad he quit because they're too uptight, but there's gotta be more to it than that- he's subtly trying to steer Chihiro away from them while Hiyuki is having none of it here. I want to gently snap this man in half to make him spill his secrets...
At the end of the day, though, Shiba's not going to stop Chihiro from joining the Kamunabi. That's been his thing since Chapter 1: if Chihiro makes up his mind to do something, Shiba will offer advice and make suggestions but ultimately leave the decisions up to him. I wonder how much of his guilt over Kunishige's death plays into that...
Then!
PFFT. "I know what I'm doing here seems risky and unwise but It's fine, trust me. I've got Hakuri." OKAY BUDDY. You've been able to do a hell of a lot since you met this kid haven't you? It's like meeting him changed the trajectory of your life as much as you changed his.
Shiba's expression is very interesting to me. He's like "ah, I get it..." and he's not thrilled in the slightest. Adding Hakuri to the team means Chihiro can be even more reckless than ever before; what little influence he had over Chihiro's safety is all but gone now. And Hakuri himself won't try to stop Chihiro from putting his life on the line- he'll risk his own to help him do it! All this while they're poised to go somewhere he probably can't follow... poor Mr. Shiba.
And then!! AND THEN!!!
Chapter 32: Smile Unlocked (once has no meaning...)
Chapter 36: Smile Lost (twice is a coincidence...)
Chapter 38: Locked In (three times is a pattern...)
Chapter 45: Smile Restored (four times is fate)
The one pulling the other forward is always on the right, leading the reader as well.
When one calls, the other answers. What one starts, the other finishes. A and Un. And this time Hakuri echoes Chihiro's "you got it" catchphrase back to him! I hope this is their thing now, like the "How's my timing?/Perfect" bit that Shiba and Chihiro had.
I'm going absolutely insane over this interaction though. It's the first time Chihiro's gotten to hear someone affirm that they'll see things through with him at his own request (on-screen at least). The first time he's outright said he needs someone, even. And of course Hakuri responds so enthusiastically- he's finally wanted. Just a few days ago he thought he'd never amount to anything. But he's got so much hope thanks to Chihiro's faith in him now.
"What I need in my life is a samurai! THAT'S YOU!" is finally answered with "I'm going to need your help again." hnnnngh what in the hell is this chapter.
Platonic, familial, romantic- however you want to see their relationship, these guys are meant to be together. If I ever start to doubt Hakuri's importance again just smack me right upside the head- he's truly Chihiro's other half now. Let's cheer them on and hope nothing horrible happens to Hakuri ever again! Protect the smile of the boy who would die for you on command, Chihiro. You've been warned.
Protected Bearers
Cool stuff ahead, and tough times to go with them. I doubt things will be as simple as Chihiro successfully making his case and being allowed to start trying to Talk no Jutsu the former wielders. This arc seems like it could easily be longer and more complicated than the previous two combined. I kind of hope it is, just to get more time with everyone. I've never loved a cast of characters this much.
That said... In another series I'd be sure Chihiro would visit each area one by one in their own mini arc, but Kagurabachi is probably going to subvert the expectation somehow. We got previews of the areas so we'll be seeing all of them. Probably (we goddamn better after that gorgeous spread showing them off.), but not in the way we'd expect. This story is so fast I kind of expect us to blitz through all of them in a handful of chapters each... guess it depends on how in-depth we get with the bearers themselves.
As we originally saw them in chapter 18. The slightly updated designs from this chapter are pretty nifty.
I'm 100% sure the order they're presented here corresponds with the areas shown on the spread immediately afterwards. So eye scars is stuck in a temple, the girl is stuck in an onsen, kabuki monk guy is stuck in what looks like a floating shrine, and sushi chef is in... a sushi restaurant. Wow shocker.
I'm going to make the assumption that they got to choose where they were imprisoned for the rest of their lives. Maybe it was the government's way of expressing gratitude for helping the war effort? Which makes Magatsumi's wielder (the Sword Master) being sealed up like a nasty curse all the more intriguing... he's clearly fucked up but was he always that way or did the sword corrode his mind? Is there more to the lifelong contract with these swords than just being the only person who can use them? I better get some answers!
Anyway.
So Kunishige personally knew and chose these people... I wonder how meeting them will deepen Chihiro's understanding of his father's legacy. I sincerely doubt that all of them will make it easy for him to recover the blade they're tied to, but we'll hopefully learn a lot while Chihiro makes his attempts. Really seems like we are set up for Kunishige and Seitei War backstory so I am hype. Dead DILF lore! DEAD DILF LORE!
Hiyuki and Kamunabi Thoughts
Hiyuki also had some interesting moments this chapter. She understands that the current stalemate with the Hishaku has tied the Kamunabi's hands for the most part, forcing them to do less than savory things (like bidding on the Shinuchi) to keep the peace. And despite her hotblooded outburst before the auction, she still has rock solid faith in her org's mission. So I don't think she'll defect easily so as long as she believes the mission is doable under better circumstances.
And it seems like she thinks Chihiro might be the right catalyst for change... hmm. She's essentially using him as a chaos agent to shake up the status quo because he proved himself to her. She finds him worthy of deciding how to handle the blades, so now she's giving him and Hakuri the opportunity prove themselves to her leaders. Very cool. There's some rather deep stuff going on with her.
Hiyuki's much more establishment-oriented than her personality and actions suggest. I get the sense that she's there as an idealist who is willing to upset the status quo to see the mission through. A true believer in a bureaucratic institution- love that type of conflict. Can't wait to see more of her in this arc!
So now we're set to see Chihiro's philosophy and methods on trial. Super intriguing stuff and I'll definitely be looking at the questions each Kamunabi leader is asking to try and suss out their allegiance. Playing Guess the Traitor this arc is gonna be a lot of fun (I hope)!
Speaking of which... Azami as the traitor allegations don't move me, but I do think he'll be restricted this arc due to the ongoing investigation into his clandestine activities. Chihiro could well be on his own without an adult to watch out for him. At least he and Hakuri will be there for each other. ...With no one to try and stop them from doing reckless stunts. Uh oh.
So that's a wrap on this fuckhuge ramble. Hope the breakneck pace slows down just a smidge but I'm still very onboard with whatever is coming next. Thanks for allowing me to ramble as always, void.
#kagurabachi#long post#Don't lose hope Kazane fans he's gonna come back soon I just know it#Sorry for referring to Kunishige as a dead DILF once again#An onsen episode? In MY “no sexy fanservice” action manga? It's more likely than you think.#I caved and read the raws this week but I'm glad I did for the discussion around the sushi restaurant's name#It's not my own discovery so I don't feel right posting about it but there's intriguing stuff involving archaic and bizarre kanji choices

re: fact checking / believing media.
You handled that anon better than I would have. I got angry on your behalf. I’m sick of Swifties defending Taylor for very obvious flaws / problematic behaviour she exhibits.
Swifties also believe what they read. A lot of media outlets wrote articles to benefit Taylor. That anon was bitching cause you were discussing one that didn’t support Taylor.
Also Swifties not only believe the media when it comes to Taylor but they also actively believe the rumours THEY MAKE UP THEMSELVES. No one reported Joe cheated on Taylor, it was a fan theory that they believed into reality. And when it comes out she cheated on him they hype her up and then still attack Joe. I’ve seen antis get hate for pointing out Taylor has a drinking problem (with concern not hate) which Swifties venomously deny she does. But that hate comes from the same Swifties who create the narrative she had to drink to escape Joe. Like they can’t even keep their story straight.
People telling antis to stop believing everything they read and stop speculating when it’s the EXACT behaviour her fans exhibit is laughable. Her fans are actually worse cause they make up false stories to the point they all believe them. “She’s pregnant” is only coming from her fans. They are inherently more problematic towards Taylor. This woman they apparently adore.
Honestly I’m not even convinced they’re fans of her anymore with how they behave. It’s just habit to defend her. Or FOMO.
This. All of this. If I had a dollar for every time a swiftie made up facts about something - Taylor's behavior, history, quotes, anything really - I'd have enough money to go to, like, two Taylor Swift concerts (y'know, because her overpriced tickets are like 20k a pop in some cases)
In all seriousness, though, youre100% right that her fans make shit up constantly and then believe their own theories as fact. All the times I've ACTUALLY called out Taylor, I've used facts. Let's use my Fortnight Ableism callous as an example - you can go find sources for everything I wrote in that post. It's not hard. "Abuse in mental asylums" will turn you up countless results on google. The pictures of her house are from an article *about her house*. I ran that post by my disabled friend to get their stamp of approval on my statements, too, because it's THEIR history I was speaking about, so I asked them to approve it. And they did.
I also fact check things like, say, my election news. Or crimes that happened (just today I fact checked something that happened near where I live, and what I'd heard had been false).
I don't post every random thing I fact check. I also don't post citations for everything that I *do* fact check, because this isn't a college essay and I'm not obligated to prove my research to a bunch of internet strangers.
But as usual, swifties love to throw baseless accusations around just to feel like they did something. Honestly, it was kind of funny to metaphorically curb stomp their accusation. Like, I'll post my own receipts, I don't care. Funny how the proof shows they can't read, though lol.
Now this isn't an invitation for swifties to come harass me - y'all can kindly fuck off. But it would be nice if they would at least pretend to have self awareness before they try to come at me.

FAKE FIC TITLES YIPPEE!! here’s a bunch you don’t have to do them all lol - these are so fun to come up with (most of these are inspired by things i would write if i was good at writing)
cake and melting candles
feathers rest at your feet
your sun kissed freckles look like stars
fins and leather
blood red, burning hate
secret kisses behind a wall
wishes and curses
rivalries - secret glances
blood stained lace trims
have a great day!!! :D
I will absolutely be doing all of them XD
I have some...good or bad? i guess it depends on how you look at it? No one is good at writing until they've written and read a lot.
It's an ongoing process (all of which is to say, if you want to write, write badly! Anything worth doing is worth doing badly, I've done more than my share of bad writing. See: My early fics and a lot of my writing that has never seen the internet, both old and new.)
Anywho, made up fic titles!
Going under a cut for this one
cake and melting candles - After Lizzie fell into the void in Secret Life, when everyone went by to loot her house, there were still decorations up from the failed party.
feathers rest at your feet - Daemon AU for Double Life, Pearl's daemon shifts, even though she's an adult and he's been settled for a long time. From Owl to Wolf. (I might actually write this one at some point)
your sun kissed freckles look like stars - Something Something Salmon Pearl and Horror Marine Biologist Gem.
fins and leather - Limited Life Mean Gills, Pirate AU, ft. Pirate Martyn and Merman Scott, Martyn got washed overboard from his ship during a storm, Scott saves his life. There are some adventures and shenanigans and cameo appearances. Ultimately, Martyn rejoins his crew, possibly after killing Scott. (This would not be a Nice Story) Alternately he thinks he rejoins his crew, but what actually happened was he went mad, hallucinated his crew, killed Scott, and then wandered into the ocean and died.
blood red, burning hate - Third Life Skizzleman and the origin of the Boogeyman Curse. A sort of stream-of-conciousness one-shot with a Watcher Epilogue.
secret kisses behind a wall - I hear "wall" and i think the Flower Valley wall from Third Life, the wooden one that Joel burned down. Flower Husbands Catch FeelingsTM.
wishes and curses - Urban Fantasy AU Case Fic from the Gone Fishing verse, ft. The Property Police.
rivalries - secret glances - Empires Season 1, fWhip is crushing on Jimmy, Jimmy is oblivious. Conflict proceeds as usual.
blood stained lace trims - Marriage of State, How Sausage Became King of Mythland. (It was totally not at all traumatic i promise :) 100% did not involve his parents being assassinated in front of him, nope!)
Thankee much for the ask! Hope you enjoy these!

Hi!!!
I've recently been wanting to get into clay ✨stuff✨ for funsies, and I have absolutely no idea where to start and I spent a good chunk of time googling and learned pretty much nothing because I got overwhelmed!! What a day.
Anyways I've been asking around and I have a few questions and you seem to know what you're doing, so -
-what are the differences between clays? I understand some need to be fired in a kiln (which I do not casually have laying around my house unfortunately), some need to be baked, and some can just air dry??? But that's really about as far as I got before getting lost.
- which clay is usually best for what kind of projects??? I'm thinking I want to do just some Small Things like key trays or pencil/pen holders or etc etc.
- are there any specific tips/tricks I should be using to make it slightly easier to work with, or any specific care instructions?
thank you!!!
Hi there! I don't claim to be an expert but hopefully I can help you get started?
Now clays: ceramic clays need to be fired in a kiln and are the most durable. For your heavy-duty projects (vessels that need to hold water/be in contact with heat) this is your best bet.
Air-dry clay can mimic the look and feel of ceramic clay if you just want the aesthetic, but are usually paper-based and not nearly as durable. Flammable, and not waterproof unless you coat it with something. Can be good for decorative projects.
Polymer clay: plastic-based and mimics a lot of different materials, this is the kind you bake in your oven. Comes in many colors, semi-durable when baked, so this may be the clay for you! Each brand comes with its own set of drawbacks/advantages, so my recommendation is to get an idea of what you want to make first and then see which brand fits best (some might bake harder but are harder to condition, etc.) I mostly work with sculpey so I can't speak to every kind, but probably the best advice I can give is to get a little and just play around with it. Learning the feel of a material is not something you can read over the internet, and the way I have learned the most is to jump in and make mistakes as I go.
I hope this has helped in some small way, I'm always nervous about giving advice, lol

akameloooooo: My God, I can’t believe the gem I just found, simply perfect!
(I don’t know if the creator is he or she, but I’ll address her as she.)
I caught a cold this week and stayed home resting with a sick note. With nothing to do, I decided to revisit my old hobby of reading Mafiafell fanfics and found this wonderful writing.
I confess that when I started reading, I didn’t pay much attention. I thought it would be bad or boring because it’s a multiverse and very long. But, my God, as I read, I became obsessed and couldn’t stop until I finished.
I usually don’t like long stories, but this one won my heart. I fell in love, simply perfect. I can’t express how euphoric I am about this reading.
I think I started last Saturday and finished last night.
It’s simply perfect. Congratulations to whoever wrote it. The writing is good, the story is immersive, and all the characters have distinct personalities. Not to mention the coordination in writing about so many characters at the same time, giving them hobbies, dreams, and desires in a fluid manner. Congratulations.
When I saw it was from 2017, I was sad because I thought the author had abandoned it. But I jumped out of my chair when I saw she released a new chapter today. I couldn’t believe she’s still writing. Congratulations. I haven’t read chapter 179 yet; I’m writing this before going to read it. I’ve never written anything on the internet; this is the first time I’m commenting somewhere random. I don’t even know if I’m writing in the right place. I didn’t even have an account for this; I just created this one to congratulate the perfect author. She knows how to write very well and makes the story engaging. I hope she achieves everything she wishes for. Congratulations once again. Perfect.
It’s a pity I return to my activities tomorrow, but I’m happy with the idea that I can continue my routine while waiting for more of this beauty. I had never participated in a vote before; I already took the opportunity and voted for mine, lol.
My eternal love since I was little is Sans, but she made me fall in love with many from the House Mutt, Coffe, Orange. I hope there are more hot moments. I’m embarrassed, lol.
13: Hi Akame! I’m battlemaiden and yes I’m the author of House Next Door.
I hope my interpretation of Mafiafell was up to your standards since that’s how you found my story.
I’m so glad you enjoyed my writing after giving it a shot. I understand completely it is very very long. I’ve very much accepted then any new readers I’ll get will be ones who have skipped over HND heaps of times because of it’s lenght and then one day they just say fuck it XD Which I’m fine with, it’s just such a shame I don’t think those first like 20 chapters are great hooks XD. HND is defiantly a story that gets better the more you read.
Thank you for your kind words. My character writing is something I’m very proud of and I’m glad I can write them well enough for others to enjoy (I think it’s far from perfect though)
Yep, House next door started in 2017 and is very much still updating. I almost do once a week at this point. there was a time I was updating everyday, I miss those days. I want to write a real book one day, not just fanfics and I’ve got an idea for one I just don’t have time to start a draft.
It’s wild that you made an account just to talk to me. thank you, your welcome to chat any time. give suggestions or ideas or just talk :3
Ah almost all of the Chaos Quartet have your heart XD. I am very much a papyrus varient girly (with a few acceptions) so I will gladly convert you XD
Thank you so much for taking the time to write me so many sweet things and helping my head grow even bigger /jk. I really appreciate it and I hope you have a wonderful day!!

Alright, I've listened to the entirety of I Love You So Fucking Much by Glass Animals, and I have some thoughts. TL;DR I think they missed the mark a little bit and squandered the potential of the retrofuturistic space theme, but the songs they got right, they got RIGHT.
I'm just some random chucklefuck on the internet who's been a very big fan of this band for a very long time. I am not by any stretch of the imagination a music expert. This isn't technical critique, just the thoughts of a fan.
I'd recommend listening to it yourself first (if you care) before reading my thoughts so I don't color your opinions.
I will also preface this saying I simply don't relate to the "failed/abusive relationship" theme, which automatically makes the album a slightly harder sell. I am, however, very good at ignoring lyrics, and at pretending music is about my OCs lol
First song is Show Pony, and it was a rough open for me. Whatever warping is on the backing guitar that's making it all warbly is fun, I like that, and the quiet vocals coming in at the start is really nice. But then the rest of the song is kinda... hm. The rhythm of the lyrics is nice, but I just flat out dislike the sound of the bridge, and the chorus is just alright. I think this song could have used a little more Something. It feels like it's almost there, it's really close, but it doesn't quite hit the spot.
I really enjoy whatthehellishappening?, the kidnapping theme/metaphor is WEIRD and FUN, I love when Glass Animals get weird and fun!! The sound is also very reminiscent of Tame Impala, and I love Tame Impala's sound, so this is a win. I don't know how musicians do it, but there's a certain sound that evokes movement to me, and this song definitely sounds like we're moving, which of course is perfect for... the narrator being kidnapped and thrown in the back of a car lol. GA, keep doing this weird metaphor thing like you did in this song, please!
I already knew I loved Creatures in Heaven. They said they dropped this one first because it's most reminiscent of their "usual" sound and they didn't want to shock people, and it certainly is, but it's a good sound. "You held me like my mother made me just for you" and the way he delivers that line like he's about to start crying fucking gets me every time. I'm a physical person, alright, and you can probably see that in my art. That line is its own little high for me. And the instrumentation is so alive, and this song is just a joy to listen to.
Wonderful Nothing's red herring open (is that what you'd call it?) is fun, and then I heard the emphasized "t" in "delight" that villains always do, and I went "Oh?", and then the beat kicked in, and I lost my mind. This is the Space Ghost Coast to Coast and the Tokyo Drifting and the Take a Slice, I love that shit. Glad they continued the tradition of including one song that makes you want to do some fucked up shit. And the ending with everything warping out on "but I still love you" is just delicious. This is a fucked up song, I love it.
A Tear in Space (Airlock) is what I was expecting most of this album to be, and I'm a touch disappointed it wasn't. The space theme is so strong, the instrumentation is hitting all the marks, the way the vocals get so high in the second verse is FANTASTIC (especially when listening to it in the shower lol), and I just love this song. I would've liked more of this.
The synths in the start of I Can't Make You Fall in Love Again are great! More of that through the whole song please! The soft guitar is nice, it vaguely reminds me of The Japanese House, but I dunno... something about the (non-chorus) vocals feels a little too divorced from the instrumentation and the theme of the album. Still, this one might grow on me.
How I Learned to Love the Bomb has a good sound. It's a good song. I like it! I think my disappointment around this one just comes from my expectations of the album being more... space-y.
I'm just indifferent about White Roses. It's... forgettable, and I hate to say that. I think I'm just the wrong person for this song. Like I said, I don't actually relate to the lyrical themes of this album. I'll touch on that more in a moment.
The "shu-be-de-boo" looped vocalization in the background in On the Run is cute, I liked that. I can hear the band having fun with this song (not that I think they didn't enjoy making the rest, it just especially comes through on this one). I can tell they were playing around with self-indulgent ideas in this one, and I'm happy they had fun with it, but it still doesn't actually hit my mark. Which, again, is fine!
Lost in the Ocean is similar to How I Learned to Love the Bomb in that it's a nice song, but it just feels out of place on this album.
Overall, there's really only two-almost-three songs off this album I just don't think I'll ever like. And out of an album of ten songs, that's still a 70-80% success rate. But I like every song off their first three albums. I'm not saying that as a weird brag, but because it shows how open I am to everything Glass Animals tries. I can usually find something I like in every song of theirs. And out of this album, I only love three, maybe four songs. Compare to their past albums, where I love anywhere from 60-90% of the songs.
As I said in the preface, I think they could've used the retrofuturistic space theme more. It really only comes through on... what, two or three songs? The synths are kinda space-y, yeah, but the actual space theme and imagery isn't explored too much. And that just feels like a missed opportunity, they could've done a lot with it.
This album overall feels safer than in the past, which is just sad :( I wasn't expecting another ZABA, but knowing they're capable of ZABA-type sounds and themes and lyrics, it's disappointing.
And this is just a nitpick, but the album is called "I Love You So Fucking Much" and yet it's... basically entirely about abusive/failed relationships? That's not love, I was expecting more love. I wanted to hear a genuine Glass Animals love song. I'm a hopeless romantic, I relate to that, I want that in my music. Creatures in Heaven comes closest, and I treat it like one (again, very good at ignoring lyrics), but it's still about a past, failed relationship. But oh well...
I hope they get more experimental again, I don't want the popularity high of Dreamland to make them too scared to try anything weird going forward. There is nothing else on this planet like ZABA, there's nothing like How to be a Human Being, there's parts of Dreamland that are uniquely Glass Animals, but ILYSFM feels half Glass Animals and half... something watered down.
I remain hopeful though. They really like sticking to one theme per album, so maybe now that ILYSFM is out of their system, we'll get something weird and different next album. And the random singles artists usually drop after a new album releases are often the "weirder ones" anyway, so I remain hopeful for those too.

Daybreak 1.1
Let's get started
It was a second chance for humanity as a whole, and they’d gone and screwed it up from the start by coloring the city gold, of all colors. ... All put together, the light that bounced off of the city and reached skyward gave the clouds linings that were gold, not silver.
i wonder how much of this hate for gold is because of Scion's attacks or Khepri's portals. probably both. i do like the gold lining, seems like a fun visual.
Plaques were recessed into three of the four faces – the fourth had come free and fallen after the collision. Each plaque bore an etching of a face, a name, a date of birth, a date of death, a message. ... They were part of an initiative by an independent cape, a hero turned rogue, helping out.
with all the anti-cape stuff that's popped up so far and knowing it continues later on, i'm surprised projects like this aren't talked about more. a genuine moment where a cape is doing something nice with their powers. maybe this guy is an outlier or the other stuff the capes get up to weights more than it--which is fair since even the apartment stuff in Ashley's prologue is enough to get pissed off at--but with how much hate the Advance Guard gets in this section it seems forgotten that the whole reason the crowd is getting angry is over something a cape provided being destroyed by an accident anyone can do.
The crowd, too, seemed to realize that the situation had mostly de-escalated.
sigh
The summer heat was holding out through the start of September, making things just a little more uncomfortable, tempers a little shorter.
Ah! an estimated date. i want to try and keep track of all these to work out a proper Ward timeline since the one on the wiki is lacking.
We’d called him the second cape after Scion, but he might well have been the first, after all.
hello Vikare, congrats on getting mentioned in the first chapter instead of the first interlude. moving up in the world. if there's ever a parahumans 3 you might get a pov chapter. really tempted fate naming yourself after Icarus.
“Work,” I said. “They wouldn’t fire me, especially if I explained. I’d get in trouble, maybe, but I wouldn’t mind much. Job is… a seven out of ten fit.”
i'm down right jealous rn. 7/10 seems great for a job
As in most things having to do with law or bureaucracy, it took longer than it should have, for a relatively simple process. I hurried to the high school once they were done with me, and I arrived rather late.
Victoria is going from one bureaucracy to another lol
We had grass and fields, yes, but it was coarse and the ground beneath wasn’t usually landscaped. The area was large with large trees left untouched in the corners, chain link fence separating the field from the roads on two sides, the grade school formed the third boundary to the west, and the high school formed the fourth boundary to the north. The ground was uneven, more hilly than flat, and there were still large stones here and there, and a seemingly out of place play structure for the grade schoolers.
nothing much to note here, just that the paragraph made me remember some good memories.
Point_Me_@_The_Sky: If you stop by? I set up tarps by house. Make sure they still there & no water getting through? Lost cause maybe ~P.5 ... My destination wasn’t in the high school, but was across the street. It was an open building with a partial second floor. ... My office was the closest thing I had to a home, in this world. ... I’d rigged up tarps to keep the water off that corner of the house, but some of that moisture had been coming up from below.
okay. this is just sad. literally calls her office her house
I opened a notebook and began searching through it. I found the name before the internet succeeded in connecting.
this is about Victoria finding the cape who was building the pillars. i have no idea why there was a whole arc of the Undersiders sneaking into the PRT to steal their database. it seems like New Wave had access to it all if she can find random capes in her collection. should have just walked in and grabbed it while they were out heroing.
From: Deferent.I@Mail Subject: Re: Damaged Pillar I already heard. Advance Guard were on the scene and let me know. Will have it fixed tomorrow. Thanks.
this just makes it seem like Deferent has access to much faster internet than Victoria does if they can check their emails and respond relatively quickly while going out and building as many pillars as described earlier. dunno, it's out of place with the descriptions from Victoria booting up her computer and the glowworm chapters. maybe he got better tech to be able to respond to stuff quicker?
She spent a lot of time palling around with a biotinker called Blasto. She kept going back to him to pair up. Might have been boyfriend-girlfriend, even. That ended when the Slaughterhouse Nine passed through Boston. We don’t know what happened to Blasto, but we can guess it wasn’t good.
rip Blasto. Defiant didn't care enough to note what happened to you
“She did her time,” I said. “She made a mistake, she paid for it as much as she was able. We don’t have enough good jails and so she’s free, and it looks like she’s trying to do good. That’s pretty decent, really. She’s not the enemy here.”
this will be interesting for later. i am surprised in general that Fume Hood is getting brought in this early. i vaguely know what happens to her so I guess it makes sense she gets some focus early on
End thoughts:
i'm like the story so far. while Victoria is obviously weary of there being a coming conflict between capes and non-capes, i think there are a few lines hinting at her feelings of separation from them. namely how she doesn't like the pillars, which seem to be for the civilians. tbf, it could be her not wanting reminders of Gold Morning or a reminder of the Leviathan fight where after there was a similar memorial that a quarter of her family was on. i could understand that.
nothing wrong with the story, but i really don't like the patrol group or Gilpatrick. reminds me of the rotc guys at college

hi!! may i please ask you 4 and 14 for the fic writer asks :-)
hell yes you can :)) original post for ref
4. a story idea you haven’t written yet
stares dead eyed at my 10 page doc of fic ideas. uhh ok i have No Idea what kinda plotline this would be, but i Desperately wanna write something with bunny near... perhaps also ft. a catboy mello. i don't have a goddamn clue what kind of au would produce that, but i need it. somehow. it has to be stupid and mello has to suffer lol 👍
14. where do you get your inspiration?
a whole amalgamation of things-- i latch onto different visuals/themes/motifs from the Various Medias i consume and the connections sneak their way through whether i'm conscious of it while writing or not. specific story ideas literally kinda come to me in Visions lol, or like i'll make a connection between two things and 🤯 (though admittedly usually i just write something if i think it's funny =3=")
e.g. praise the sweetness (my lawlight cult au) was heavily influenced by me playing cult of the lamb and going "i sure hope this doesn't awaken anything in me :]" over and over, but a lot of other stuff too-- originally that story was a lot more midsommar inspired, actually, before i changed the setting to wammy's house. which, once i did that, then all the post apocalypse shit started coming out of nowhere, which was quite literally influenced by my dreams cuz i dream about the apocalypse a lot :] but also like uhh the poppy thing i think came from sabrina the teenage witch lore bc iirc in the live action show witches are allergic to/can be killed by (??) poppies and that idea/imagery has always Stuck with me.
i take a lot of inspiration from the fucking massive number of fics i've read over the years too-- superegos for example was heavily influenced by all the weird robot sex fics i've read over the years (in particular a bts fic which i'm not even sure is on the internet anymore, it was taekook and called Neptune and fucking changed me fundamentally when i read it at like 13 LMFAO) and also weird robot movies which i watch a lot of for some reason (i've had to watch ex machina for like, 3 separate classes by this point...) though i actually like that it ended up going against a lot of the classic tropes with the memory transfer shit (clearly influenced by my homestuck/dirk strider roots. laughs). also the sex scene was Very Much influenced by this old ass dirkjake fic everybody on your knees and testify, specifically ch.4 which is. very good AHAHASHL :]
#astronaut transmissions#long ass answer omfg. yapper moment#idk if people noticed but i have two separate ao3 accounts that i switch between#one for reading and one for writing/posting#mostly did that cuz i wanted the cxtangerina inbox to be cleaner lmfao#sometimes i wish my bookmarks were public but i'm not about to go through 5k+ fics and unprivate all of them on istillcannotdeal. no ty#anywho. this was fun ty for the ask ^w^

I always love hearing about people’s fandom and reading/writer journeys especially since they usually involve some very cursed content and fun navigating ‘90’s and ‘00’s tech. Where did you start, what got you hooked, how have your tastes changed over the years, what made you decide to go from reader to writer? 💖
thank you for the ask, anon - and you’re correct that my experience was one of cursed 2000s technology, given that i started reading harry potter fanfiction via the twin madhouses of livejournal and fictionalley - nothing ever tagged beyond "lemon!!!1!" - on the family computer using dial-up internet.
[god bless the fact that the parents of my generation had no inclination to care about what we were consuming online - one of my brothers was a huge fan of rotten.com, and he's perfectly well-adjusted...]
my reading tastes were, initially, lord of the rings focused - i still think* about a particular elrohir/námo mandos fic which had me in chokehold when i was about fourteen - but i was as big a harry potter fan as anyone of my generation [shoutout in particular to one of my pals, who spent the entirety of a geography trip in 2006 speculating what the unknown horcruxes could be with me while we froze our bollocks off in some godforsaken bog in county antrim]. so it wasn’t a surprise, i suppose, that i was clicking on any fanfiction links i could find for that series too…
[the fic which has stayed with me most profoundly from those days was called something along the lines of murder at malfoy manor. it was on fictionalley and was this exceptional combination of the rules of cluedo and the ron-is-time-travelling dumbledore theory. it was incredible.]
but i wasn’t a writer. i was one of those science-y, not-like-other-girls teenagers who was performatively really cunty about other girls who liked to write little stories or draw little pictures, which i thought was fundamentally unserious. the fact that i was an avid consumer of these stories didn’t make me question what the fuck i was being such an arsehole about…
because i loved a bit of fanfic, and not only did i love fanfic but i demonstrably had a fandom presence and was clued up on fandom lore - i could quote my immortal, i knew what a snape-wife was, i was on a forum or two - although i went to great lengths to avoid anyone in my real life discovering that. and i do feel extremely proud of myself that i have a reputation among people i know for not having been particularly cringe as a teen [how little they know… i’ve just got a good poker face.]
i lost interest in harry potter when i went to university - i started uni in 2010, when it was still socially acceptable to be really into it, and i definitely went to my fair share of themed parties in the first couple of years, but by the time i graduated in 2016 [i did medicine, so it’s a six-year slog] i’d not opened the books, watched the films, or thought about the fandom in years. i remember rolling my eyes at the number of people i know who went to see cursed child when it first opened. bit cringe to be in your twenties and into harry potter, isn’t it?
[lol. lmao.]
but a global crisis changes things, i suppose.
like so many people, i got back into fandom during the coronavirus pandemic - although, regrettably, not because i was stuck in the house. i don’t think i’ll ever be able to accurately describe what it was like to work in a hospital in 2020, except to say that by the time i got home each day the only thing i could do other than stare blankly at a wall was lose myself in the comfort of media i knew well and its memories of a simpler time. and once i’d re-read the books a few times… well, it was only a matter of time before i was scrolling ao3 at 3am.
and, because my ego hasn’t changed even if my relationship with my own gender has, it did not take a lot to convince me that i could write stories which were just as good as the ones i was reading.
you can be the judge of whether i succeeded.
[*i’m being coy. i have it bookmarked on ao3]
