Last line tag but because I don't talk to anyone instead of tagging I'm going to do multiple WIPs to prove to myself that I've actually accomplished some writing this year (2022). Anyone who sees this heres an open invitation to post your own last lines :33
Edit: Found this in my drafts, I think I just didn't feel like tagging at the time and forgot about it lmao
Content Warning: alcohol consumption by adults, mentioned violence and death
Susan's story:
"Help me sit her up and stay upright." Newbie took charge and for once Perry followed. J.D was flashing her eyes and there was no doubt she had a concussion.
Elizabeth's story:
Klaus very much wanted to collapse onto his bed, but even if Ben agreed with Lizzy’s plan, Klaus highly doubted his living siblings would.
Remus' story:
He had told Janus what happened which had the deceitful side theorizing what the hell was going on. Virgil was too drained to think and dragged himself to his bed where he fell asleep quickly.
Btvs soulmate story:
Why the younger watchers still in training were being blamed Wesley couldn't even hazard a logical reason. Before the attack he'd only ever encountered one vampire in person and it had been in a controlled environment.
Whisky Slips:
All of this was how at three in the morning Wesley and Fred were extremely drunk, Gunn moderately drunk, Cordelia a bit tipsy, and a sober Angel gathered in a somewhat messy circle around Cordelia's living room playing Never Have I Ever. Cordelia's low level of intoxication was due to her drinks being pretty weak and not the lack of shots she had to take.
Wesleys secret part 3:
“But Angel made it very clear that Angelus had nothing to do with the attempted murder.” Lorne bit out.
Tina's story:
However, a child with dilated pupils lying on the floor grabbing at the air while holding a conversation that was completely nonsensical was not that relieving.
Art's Story:
“Have… Have you checked your email today?” He asked softly, curling further into himself. Art frowned and shook their head.
Fuck Up:
The loss of playful boasting and giggles that couldn't be held back left only the rattle of the chains holding the swings and their shoes dragging through the wood chips and dirt.
Malcolm: The King of England:
Before the fake agent could answer Malcolm's phone began to play the song America Fuck Yeah and he released the knife and pulled out his phone. It was Elena calling. "One sec dudes." Malcolm told them as he answered the call.
Untitled (fanfic writen late at night on a whim):
At this point the husband finally stopped just standing and watching and calls the police and wraps an arm around his wife's waist to stop her from going near the fight.
Untitled (also a fanfic written with no plot thought through well):
All of which had gotten the hospital in a horribly tense building.
(I think that sentence should say made the hospital a horribly tense building but idk what i was trying to say at the time)

FISK: Miss Page, I must admit, I'm surprised you're here. I'm sure all of this (comfort and freedom) is offensive to you.
KAREN: Yes, it's offensive.
FISK: You came for words at least.
KAREN: Yeah, let's have some words.
FISK: You're not writing an article about my mother.
KAREN: I'm not? I could.
FISK: To what end, Miss Page? My distress?
KAREN: Hmm. Doesn't actually sound that bad now that you say it.
FISK: You worked for Ben Urich. I believe he mentored you.
KAREN: Yes, before he was murdered.
FISK: A final lesson. One you seem not to have understood.
KAREN: (notes the cameras) Is that a threat?
FISK: An observation.
KAREN: You're right, I'm not going to talk about your mother. I would rather talk about what she told Ben. Really — rather what she told us. I don't think you know that I was with him. She remembered a lot about your childhood, embarrassing things. We would never print those, we just pass them around the office.
FISK: How is it around your office? I heard about your misfortune (with "Daredevil").
KAREN: Before it even happened, I'm sure. No, the story we will print is her very detailed description of your father and how you murdered him. Is there any part of you that isn't broken, I wonder?
FISK: (notes the cameras) You asked me why I let you in. The reason is, Miss Page, I have a few questions of my own. You are a respected journalist, but at one time you were merely a secretary—
KAREN: Office manager—
FISK: At a law firm to Matt Murdock, yes? Intimately involved in his affairs.
KAREN: Business affairs—
FISK: Of course. Tell me at what point did you learn about Mr. Murdock's secret Life? (Internalizes her silence as confirmation) Yeah. Thank you, Miss Page.
KAREN: Okay, you want secrets? I can tell you a secret, Wilson. Is it okay I call you that? I feel like we know each other well enough.
FISK: As you wish, Karen.
KAREN: James Wesley. What was it like for you when he disappeared? It's those first 24 hours that are the worst, aren't they? When you call and you call...and there's just no answer. It becomes an obsession. The never-ending loop of a ghost's voicemail in your ear. You worry, you wonder, you swear "if he's still living I'm going to kill him myself."
FISK: (clenches his jaw in deafening silence as his cheek twitches in betrayal, no longer a rabbit in a snowstorm)...
KAREN: Is that what it was like for you? Did you rage at him 'cause you thought he betrayed you? Because I wonder what would be worse for you: his duplicity, or his death?
FISK: (inhales sharply)
KAREN: He died quickly. If you were wondering...You see Wilson, Matt Murdock isn't the person you should be worried about. I killed Wesley. I shot him seven times...because the clip ran out. He deserved more.

As I've associated Persephone with Venus nakshatra characters, I see this theme of female characters played by Venusians being kidnapped/abducted by men. Usually there being a case of Stockholm syndrome. Very interesting that this theme was in Ketu nakshatras as well (Mula's Beauty & the Beast), fully extending in this section of fire signs as well with Hades & Persephone.
In the film Bandits (2001), Bharani ASC Cate Blanchett's character is kidnapped by a bank robber played by Bruce Willis. She finds herself in a complicated love triangle with him and his partner.
In the film Split (2016), Bharani ASC Anya Taylor Joy's character is abducted by a man with a multiple personality disorder. In Glass (2019), we see how she has formed a delicate connection with her abductor.
In the film The Collector (1965), Purva Phalguni Moon Samantha Eggar plays a teenager who is kidnapped by a lonely sick man who hopes she falls in love with him.
In the film Buffalo '66 (1998), Purva Ashada Moon Christina Ricci's character is kidnapped by a recently released convict who forces her to pose as his wife. Over time, an unconventional bond forms between them.
The kidnapper/abductor is often a Saturnian in the story, which is interesting as it could hint at the nakshatra associated with Hades. In the animation Hercules, Hades is literally voiced by the double Saturn nakshatra native James Woods. He is an Uttarabhadrapada Moon&Pushya ASC.
In the series Tell Me A Story (2018), Pushya Sun Paul Wesley's character becomes obsessed with a woman, abducting her to hold her hostage in a secret soundproof room, keeping her chained to the bed.
In the film Tie Me Up! Tie Me Down! (1989), Uttarabhadrapada Moon Antonio Banderas' character heads straight into a reunion with a woman he had a fling with after being recently released from a mental institution.
Because she doesn't remember him, he kidnaps her, determined to make her fall in love with him. Much like in Tell Me A Story, he ties her to the bed as well.
In the film Misery (1990), Uttarabhadrapada Moon Kathy Bates holds a writer she's obsessed with captive.
The writer is played by Uttarabhadrapada Sun native James Caan, seeing as this Saturnian theme can turn on its own head too.
Venus nakshatras can deal with having autonomy over your own body and sexuality; but it can also explore themes of having one's urgency taken away, only to reclaim it and receive quick justice.

The Friendship between: Saiwa and Vlad
Like Vlad and Jack, Saiwa and Vlad met at the Space (Balls) Bar & Grill & 'Residence'.
They have a very solid friendship and respect each other. Usually one of them is reasonable and able to talk the other into doing the right thing or out of making wrong decisions and usually the other listens.
Saiwa is a reluctant leader (no one except himself ever questioned his abilities to lead them, neither the Boys themselves nor the Resistance) and often questions his position in the group and it's a burden for him. He's glad that he can ask Vlad (and Kiyoshi) for advice.
And he also thinks that Vlad would be a better leader (also no one else shares this opinion lol and Vlad would be shocked if he knew about this. He has more than enough problems, is an introvert and prefers quiet activities like painting and writing over herding a bunch of weirdos out of control ö.Ö') More about this (and more ^^') here (under the cut) and here (also under the cut).
Aside of all their hardships, they also are a very handsome pairing (=the visuals of the group ;) (Romance Level: Below Zero) At Mount Komorebi
In our Heidi Special I love the way they look at each other.
And a very funny one! That was when we made the Simtimates Collection Special at the end of the Sabotage Chapter: Sai joked about what if Ms Coombes, their teacher (Vlad is her favourite) ever sees these pics hahaha. (And a few weeks later she said she really saw them! omg ^^')
And that was at the 6 month anniversary of our story ^w^ Hissing and growling with the yeti :3
And in the Jungle of Selvadorada
After Vlad died, it had been Saiwa who refused accepting it and kept on investigating. He even dragged Jeb to DEATH's Domain to find out what happened to him.
And that was when Saiwa and the Gang Doctor 'encouraged' Vlad to tighten the Bond with Ji Ho :3 (Ah I really enjoy doing this series, we had so much fun! And it keeps me busy and from worrying until I have my new computer and if everything goes well ^^')
And no one ever found out which song it was...
The only fights they had (and I remember) were before Ji Ho and Vlad tightened the bond. This was at the beginning when Vlad wanted to avoid Ji Ho:
And this was when Giga/Saiwa had sent Ji Ho to Vlad's room to take a bath and Vlad was upset because he feared to lose control ^^' (It had been Saiwa who dragged Ji Ho to the Space Bar and Saiwa was the first who predicted their epic love story at the first they they'd met)
Oh and the epic fight they had that faithful day when Vlad decided to bond with Morgan to spare Ji Ho from doing Bond Magic... Sai and Jack had been so mad at Vlad, they didn't speak with him for months ö.Ö' (this stupid action also lead to the Boys' separation and a few weeks later they swore to not have any secrets from each other to avoid further harm).
This is one of the few things they'll never agree on I fear. Saiwa wants to use their Bond magic for doing good and Vlad wants to spare Ji Ho from doing it.

Why Are Seers Always Cursed? (3)
Wesley Weston is a son of Apollo with the rare gift of prophecy.
Written for @crossoverdanuary Week 2024, Day three: Percy Jackson | Lake
This takes place shortly before Annabeth, Luke, and Thalia arrive at Camp Half-Blood, and while Wes is still in middle school, meaning it's set before the primary canon events of both series. You can also read it on AO3!
Chapter 3: Downhill Fast
First | Previous
[Warning for mild violence]
Over the next two weeks, Wes started to really get the hang of Camp Half-Blood. A few more campers had arrived, including another Apollo Camper close to Wes' age named Lee Fletcher. The two of them got on really well right out of the gate. Wes did not manage to get out of explaining to Archer that he had the gift of prophecy, but for some reason, Archer told him that it would be wiser to keep it secret from anyone outside of Apollo Cabin.
Wes wasn't sure why, but he was starting to get the sense that his ability was more dangerous than it seemed. Archer warned that people might try to take advantage of him, or pick on him because they saw him as having an unfair advantage himself. So Wes' powers of foresight became cabin seven's little secret.
Unsurprisingly, Wes demonstrated a knack for archery. He'd never done it before, but it was like the bow simply belonged in his hands. His cabin-mates were very encouraging and helped him with his form so the bowstring didn't snap against his forearm. They were also fun to play basketball with. Wes established a personal record of scoring 90 feet from the hoop. Nowhere near the cabin's record, but still basically a full-court shot.
He wasn't as good as the others in the infirmary, but he wasn't so useless that they sent him out. They mostly had him cut bandages and get things for them, which was fine by Wes.
When it came to singing camp songs, Wes was exposed for his awful singing voice, but he was picking up the ukulele remarkably fast, so maybe he had inherited a little bit of Apollo's musical talents. Not as much as Lee, though; he was a regular musical prodigy as far as Wes was concerned. At only thirteen, he could play several instruments and his singing voice was downright mellifluous.
The one thing Wes really struggled with in the Apollo Cabin was seeing his cabin mates as his siblings. Technically they were, but Wes already had siblings. These people were basically strangers in comparison. And it didn't really help that he'd made a conscious decision not to think of Apollo as anything like a father to him back when he was ten years old.
The Apollo campers were warm, and accepting, and he liked them a lot... but they weren't family. Not yet, at least.
Aside from that, the only thing that really bothered him about this place was the pine tree that wasn't there, the one he kept seeing on the crest of the hill.
He brought it up to Chiron once, in private, and Chiron told him that sometimes they couldn't know what a prophecy meant until it came to pass. Wes only begrudgingly accepted that answer. He didn't like it.
What was the point of seeing the future if it didn't make sense until it became the past?
That pine tree became increasingly frustrating. Even more so than the monster attacks. They weren't daily or anything, but there had been two so far, counting the drakon, and both had been taken care of with only mild injuries and no deaths. That pine tree though....
Once, when Wes saw it, there was something gold hanging in its branches, and a dragon wrapped around its trunk fast asleep. Then he blinked, and the golden thing and the dragon were both gone. Then he blinked and the tree was gone too.
At the end of the second week, there was a terrible summer storm. For some reason, while the storm raged, Wes' eyes were drawn to the top of the hill. Each time a strike of lightning lit up the darkness, the pine tree appeared, just for that instant, before vanishing again. That felt important, but Wes didn't know why.
He told Archer about it, but Archer just told him the same thing Chiron did.
He didn't like it any better the second time.
Then, one night, Wes had a dream. He dreamed about the pine tree. About lightning striking, about a hoard of monsters straight from Hades.
The forbidden child approaches, the dream told him. The forbidden child approaches.
When he awoke, he thought about telling Chiron again, but then he remembered what he'd said before.
"You can't always know what a prophecy means until it comes to pass."
Wes sure as Hades didn't know what a 'forbidden child' was, and Chiron had already said he had no idea what the pine tree meant. Maybe this was one of those things where he should just wait and see how it panned out, rather than bothering anybody with his stupid dreams again.
Although... the last time he'd had a dream like that, it had told him Apollo would visit his mom.
But Apollo hadn't been in this dream. Just that stupid pine tree and a bunch of monsters. And it wasn't even worth it to warn everybody of monsters coming because he had no idea when this was going to happen.
Maybe he should ask anyway.
"Hey, Chiron," he asked the centaur during archery practice, "Do you know what a forbidden child is?"
Suddenly, Wes felt as if he'd been struck by something heavy falling on him. He stumbled and let go of his bowstring and the arrow missed the target by a mile. As it left his bow, he could swore the whistling sound it made as it shot toward a tree trunk sounded like an apology.
"Sorry, kid," it said. "I hate to do this to ya. I can't defy my father, you understand." Then it pierced the tree trunk with a thunk.
"My, are you alright, Wes?" Chiron asked.
"I'm... fine, but my question."
"I'm afraid not," he said. "I suppose if a child were to be sired by one of the three most powerful gods they might be considered a forbidden child, since the three of them swore on the River Styx not to sire children. But no such child exists."
"What if one did?" Wes asked. "And what if they were coming here and a whole bunch of monsters were chasing them?"
"That would be preposterous," Chiron assured him. "None of those gods would go back on their word, not when it's so important for them to honor it."
"But I saw it happen!" Wes insisted. "I saw three demigods and satyr climbing that hill," he pointed to the camp's border. "I saw them being chased by a horde of monsters from the underworld. I heard the trees whisper that a forbidden child approaches. I saw it in my dream last night."
"Dear boy," Chiron said. "You may have the gift of prophecy, but not every dream is prophetic. There is no forbidden child, and no horde of monsters. I can assure you. I hope you'll be able to calm down now."
"What?"
This didn't make any sense. Chiron's advice was sometimes frustrating, but he'd never been dismissive like this. He knew what Wes could do, what he could see. He knew that prophecies should be taken seriously. So what the heck was this?
"Why don't you focus on your archery for now?"
"But...." Wes was too confused to formulate a proper argument. He shook his head, his face scrunched up in a mix of emotions. "Okay...."
Wes lifted the bow again and lined up his shot. This time, his arrow flew true, and landed right in the bull's eye. But again, the sound of the arrow taking flight was a whispered apology.
"I cannot defy my father's wishes," it said. "I'm sorry. I'm sorry."
That night, Wes had the same dream again. The forbidden child approaches. The forbidden child approaches.
A few days later, on an otherwise ordinary evening, while the campers were enjoying dinner, it happened. An uproarious cacophony of monstrous shrieks and bellows shook the valley. The blue sky darkened as smoke rose up from the far side of the hill.
Wes sprinted to get his bow and arrows and followed the rest of his cabin mates to the ridge while the other campers headed for the hilltop.
They couldn't get ready fast enough.
They weren't even halfway to their positions when four figures crested the hill, three demigods and a satyr.
"Go!" one of the figures, a girl, shouted. "I'll hold them off!"
She stopped at the top of the hill, wielding a spear and a shield, and the other three kept running. She fought valiantly, slashing and stabbing at bat-winged creatures and hell hounds until they overwhelmed her, and she fell.
It was only then that the other campers finally got close enough to help her.
They were too late. Wes knew it innately. That girl was the forbidden child, and she was going to die.
Without warning, a bolt of lightning shot out of the clear blue sky, and struck the girl. Then she started to change.
As the battle raged around her, she grew bark and sprouted branches until a tall, proud pine tree stood where she'd once been lying, half-dead on the ground.
Wes had seen that tree before. This time, though, it was actually real. It didn't disappear when he tried to blink it away.
A pulse of light emitted from the tree, expelling all the monsters from within the bounds of the camp. Then the light faded, leaving an invisible barrier protecting all the demigods within its bounds.
Later, the three who survived explained what happened. The satyr, Grover Underwood told them all that Thalia was a child of Zeus, a forbidden child. He explained that ever since he'd found her, creatures of Hades had been chasing them. Hades himself had sent them, angry at his brother for breaking their pact.
Wes kept his anger contained until Chiron dismissed everyone. He waited until everyone else was gone. He stayed silent.
"Is something wrong, Wes?" Chiron asked, noticing that he wasn't going to leave.
"I told you this was going to happen," he said, barely keeping a lid on his rage. "I warned you about the forbidden child, about the monsters from Hades, all of it. You didn't listen to me. You told me it was just a dream.
"If you'd just listened, we could have done something. We could have put a group of guards up on the hill. We could have been prepared for this! Thalia Grace didn't have to die!"
"I'm sorry," Chiron said. "I don't know what came over me. I knew of your abilities, and yet... when you told me about the forbidden child, it was as if... ah... I see...."
"What?" Wes did not accept this apology. He glared viciously at the centaur.
"Did you hear anything else? That day you told me about your dream, or afterwards?"
His glare eased as he thought about it.
"Actually, right before I told you, when I stumbled and my arrow misfired, it sounded like an apology" Wes recalled. "And then again the next time I fired at the target. 'I'm sorry. I cannot defy my father,' is what it said."
"The arrow spoke to you?" Chiron repeated derisively, but he quickly shook his head with pained expression. "My apologies.
"It is the fate of all oracles that such great power must come at a price," he said. "Either one must make a willing sacrifice to balance out that power, such as the Oracle of Delphi does, living as a maiden her whole life in a cave. Or, the gift will lead the bearer to be cursed, such as Tiresias who was inflicted with blindness, or... Cassandra.
"I believe Zeus did not want the secret of his child to get out," he continued, "so he had his son Apollo inflict you with Cassandra's curse to prevent you from sharing what you knew, or rather, to prevent anyone from believing you, even if you did."
"What exactly is this curse?" asked Wes.
"That you may see the future, but that you cannot share it with anyone, for they will never believe you," Chiron answered. "It's a terrible curse. It means only you alone will ever be able to benefit from your abilities, but you cannot help others with them."
"Is there a way to break it?" Wes asked.
"I'm afraid not," the centaur answered mournfully. "A seer's curse cannot be broken. Even those who know of the curse will have difficulty overcoming it's effects. Even I... well, you've seen already. I have a strong enough will to fight my initial reaction if I'm ready for it, but my initial reaction will always be disbelief. I'm sorry, Wes."
Chiron's appraisal turned out to be right on the money. As much fun as Wes had at camp that summer, and as much as he learned and grew, his precognition became completely useless. Even his cabin-mates, who already knew about his powers, didn't believe his visions until they came true.
Sometimes people would even ignore things Wes didn't realize were prophecies. The entire Aphrodite Cabin got poison ivy, all because their counselor didn't listen when Wes said to take the other path.
The same thing happened when he went back home at then end of the summer. His mother, who always humored his hunches before, now fully dismissed them. His father would laugh like Wes was telling him a joke.
And the next summer, when he returned to Camp Half-Blood, it was the same story.
Now that they had a magic barrier, there weren't any monster attacks to keep their skills sharp, they'd introduced regular games of Capture the Flag in the woods. It was the perfect opportunity for Wes to use his foresight to help his team win, but when none of them would listen to him, he had to go ahead on his own.
He won the game for his team, but it wasn't as satisfying as he'd thought it would be.
It was a relief when he finally went home for the summer. He wasn't looking forward to starting high school, but outside of camp, there were a lot fewer situations where not being able to tell people about his visions was a serious problem. Or so he thought.
Strange things happened in Amity Park that year. There were monsters around town that everyone could see, ghosts, rather. Not from Greek myths, but from a portal to another realm in the Fentons' basement.
Wes tried to make it not his problem, he really did.
Until the night he woke up in a cold sweat with prophetic knowledge echoing in his brain.
Danny Fenton is Danny Phantom.
But no one would ever believe him.

I've been reading Starman by James Robinson as part of me and @bimboficationblues' informal comic book book club for the last month or so, and finally finished the series today. It's an interesting comic, both thematically and in terms of its positioning in the DC Comics canon and the history of the comic medium. Starman began in 1994, in the wake of the Zero Hour event comic, itself created to mark the tenth anniversary of Crisis on Infinite Earths and to streamline DC's internal timeline. A renewed emphasis was placed after Zero Hour on DC's Golden Age legacy, and that legacy is firmly and proudly entrenched at the core of Starman.
In fact, I would say that legacy is the primary theme of the book. Legacy, and what we leave behind. The book's protagonist Jack Knight is the heir to the heroic legacy of Starman, the guardian of Opal City, a mantle which has been held by many people over the years, all of whom play a role in the book's narrative. He is an antiquarian, and runs a store dealing in rare collectibles - even before taking the mantle of one of the first superheroes, he immerses himself in the past. Once he takes on the role of Starman, he is soon involving himself with the heroes of his father's generation, including Alan Scott (the original Green Lantern), and Wesley Dodds (the Sandman). Eventually, he finds himself a founding member of the reconstituted Justice Society of America. All throughout, he encounters more and more members of the broader Starman legacy, and attempts to figure out where he fits within it.
More than any of the sophomoric and juvenile schlock put out by the publishers (in particular Image and in especially particular from Rob Liefeld) during the decade, Starman to me is the comic which most accurately reflects the zeitgeist of the 1990s. Jack Knight begins as a jaded and disaffected Gen Xer who adopts the Starman mantle only with reluctance and only after striking a deal with his father. He eschews a superhero's costume and the trappings of a secret identity. He has respect for what came before, but such old-fashioned things don't suit him. And at the end of the book, as the 21st century dawns, this hero so firmly of the 1990s willingly retires, passing the mantle - the legacy - quite literally to the next generation, to Courtney Whitmore, that most millennial of young superheroines. And then he leaves Opal City, to find a new life out west.
He has never been seen in a comic since then. And I think that's just about right.

There's a lot that's frustrating to me about Angel the Series but a major thing is the Gunn and Fred relationship.
Because I love 'em both, but they remind me of Riley and Buffy. Two people who worked in a similar field and should have just stayed friends, because they may have been physically attracted to one another but really they had extremely little in common.
And it's not just that the show was setting up a love triangle, and Fred would have to choose who she loved more (which is also bad and I have never EVER seen a love triangle that didn't frustrate me). It's that the show WAS setting up Wes as Fred's love interest from the getgo. Wesley cared for Fred when she was crazy. He held her in Caritas when Gunn's friends were shooting it up. He was giving her dopey smiles and adoring looks first. They researched together and worked like a well-oiled machine, and the only reason he didn't make a move sooner was because of the whole "Billy" episode, where he was bespelled to be abusive towards her, and Gunn was a little bit, too, but Wesley took it so hard he shut himself up in his apartment for several days until Fred herself asked him to come back. As far as we know Gunn had no such guilt over that spell.
And out of nowhere Gunn decides he likes Fred too, but I think they just don't click. As aformentioned, they don't have a lot in common. He teases her for caring, and barely noticed or paid attention to her when she was dealing with the Pylea aftermath crazies.
Wes confided in Cordy that he wanted to ask Fred out, and she could see it, even. Gunn confided in nobody. In this same episode, "Waiting in the Wings," Fred says she wants to ask Cordy something and Cordy says "I think you two are perfect for each other" and then claims she used her demon powers to know what Fred was talking about when, actually, Fred wasn't talking about Wesley at all. Cordy then takes this false information and tells Wes that Fred is interested. How is this not setting up Wes as the underdog, and the one we should be rooting for, even though we love Gunn as a character, too?
When Wes sees Fred and Gunn kissing, it's a blow that comes out of nowhere for him, because he never suspected and Cordy had hinted that Fred was interested in him. Wes is more shy, he's more careful, he wants to be more sure and he's absolutely still thinking about the abuser stuff between them, but the show decided he took too long and gave her to Gunn instead.
And when he sees it... he steps back. He doesn't say a word. He doesn't discourage them, doesn't act hostile to Gunn, even though we can see how earth shattering this is for him. He has to watch Gunn and Fred be all gooey and sappy in front of him, and he bears his secret. If he'd said something to Fred at the time, I imagine she would have been apologetic, but would have said that Gunn asked her first and he's the one she chooses, and that would have been that. But she would have known, at least. Known she was loved by someone else, known that she didn't have to say yes to the first person who asked her. Wes doesn't put that burden on her, and carries it all himself.
He will have to wait two years before she admits feelings for him. Two years in which he will try to carry on fighting the good fight as before, he will try to protect Connor from being killed and kidnapped, he will have his neck sliced open, he will search tirelessly all summer to dig Angel up out of the ocean, he will deal with all the drama and demons and supernatural every single week as always, he will have his memory tampered with-- twice-- and will start a hate relationship with his enemy, who he will force to dress up as Fred because he's taking everything out on Lilah anyway.
He will watch Gunn and Fred fall apart because they were never going to be sustainable, and still he won't say a thing. Everyone at Wolfram and Hart in S5, including Spike but excluding Angel, will know that Wes is into Fred. And yet Wes will again have to watch Knox (I called him Holden at first, whoops) try to get his foot in the door with her, until finally, finally, Fred expresses her interest, and they get to kiss for the very first time.
That's at the end of "Smile Time." And the next episode, "A Hole in the World," is where Fred gets sick. Right at the start of the episode. Right after Gunn says he's glad Wes and Fred get a chance; he had his with her and he recognizes it's time for her to move on.
Wes and Fred didn't get one episode together. They didn't even get ten minutes of screen time together before she started dying.
They got one of the best love declaration speeches in the history of television... but it was about two minutes before she died, and seven episodes before he died and the show ended.
As I said, there's lots that frustrating about AtS, and I know Cangel also was teased and teased and teased before being snatched away in the most brutal and lazy way possible. But at least their final episode was really a good one. Angel and Cordelia had so much time and history together and were pretty much in a relationship anyway without being official about it. It was even brought up to both of them as a possibilty and both dismissed it, so it's not like they didn't have time and chances.
(And I know none of the BtVs relationships ended well or happily either, but we're not talking about this show right now, lol)
Fred and Gunn got a season and a half, almost, of cutesy smiles and breakfast at the same diner every morning and raising Connor when no one else was around, pretty much only because they were in close proximity and not dating anyone else.
Wesley-- who granted is not without his flaws and dark character arcs-- loved Fred deeply from the start and waiting patiently for years only to have her die in his arms pretty much 24 hours after they started dating.
It would have been better if we'd never had even that, or Wes had confessed his feelings and Fred had truly never been into him. The way it was just shows all the time that was wasted and lost between them.
Of all the cruel and frustrating things that show did, in my opinion this was the worst.

vienna waits for you
Pairing: John Price x gn!reader
Summary: After a one-off meeting with a young Lieutenant Price, you assume you'll never meet again. A mission in Vienna proves you wrong.
Warnings: Canon-typical violence, description of knife wounds, lots of blood, strong language, excessive dog puns, pre-relationship, pre-slowburn
Word count: 3,027
A/N: A little prequel action for hellhound (cross-posted to AO3)!! Thank you thank you thank you to the people who love this series as much as I do - your enthusiasm and joy has written this series just as much as I have 🩷
—
Ever since Belfast they’ve called you Hound.
Ever since Price, really. Hellhound, he had said, but it got shortened quick enough. One less syllable to trip through as they tease you.
Dog’s dinner again, eh, Hound? in the mess hall.
Well sure, every dog has its day, when you make top marks in training.
Pretty as a speckled pup, you are, cooed mockingly on a rare night spent out of fatigues drinking with the lads just off base.
One of the newer recruits even tried whistling at you during a sparring match. He ended up in the med bay for that one, while you were reprimanded by Command yet again.
In the dog house, your squadmates titter as you march out of your captain’s office with nothing more than a slap on the wrist and anger itching beneath your skin.
The teasing is fine. You like it, even, making your fair share of awful puns just to get a laugh out of the boys. What you can’t shake is the feeling of discontent with your superior officers. You joined up with the Irish Armed Forces at eighteen to do something. When they sent you up the ranks to the ARW just a few years later it was supposed to matter more. Save the good guys when you could, take down the bad ones when you couldn’t. ACTION had been promised by every recruitment poster in big bold letters. And yet, it seems like every time you take some all they do is give out to you.
You’re not good for much more than taking orders and pulling triggers, you know, but still it feels like something’s missing. Like you could do more if they’d just let you.
—
Weeks later you get your chance: another team-up with the SAS. When it’s announced to the regiment you’re the first one geared up and ready to go.
For a silly, self-indulgent moment you let yourself wonder if Lieutenant Price will be there, too.
—
Between the SAS and ARW, a burgeoning terror cell has been tracked to Vienna. It’s being run by Wesley Martin, an English expat coming off a dishonourable discharge from MI6. Rather than fading quietly into obscurity, he’s taken the opportunity to sell out his country’s secrets and incite insurrection not just against them, but most of Europe as well. He staged an attack on Irish soil months ago, but the trail had gone cold - until now. England was the one to find him again, and Austria’s task force has offered its support, working out negotiations between the three nations as to who gets to make the arrest and on exactly what counts and which soil he will be tried. If the whispers up the chain of command are true, Ireland gets dibs on cuffing him.
But that’s all above your pay grade. You’d just like to nab the prick.
When your boots hit the tarmac you have a stretch and breathe deep. It was a cramped plane ride with your squadmates. Jacks had snored on your shoulder the whole way, and Murph wouldn’t shut up about his latest shag, who apparently gave him quite a memorable experience in a pub stall over leave. He’d spared no detail. Lieutenant Doyle, of course, was the one who kept egging him on; even a glare from Captain Guiney hadn’t been enough to stop him from asking what color her knickers were. He produced a rather spectacular lacy red thong from one of his pockets in answer.
Chatter cuts as you make your way over to where the SAS team stands in formation.
“Pint short as usual, Guinness,” Captain MacMillan’s thick brogue snarks. “You’re late.”
“They are early,” a less amused Austrian woman corrects. Anna Ebner, if it’s the same person who coordinated and shared all the intel reports.
“Only by Paddy standards, which is to say none at all.”
Ebner rolls her eyes.
“Je-sus,” Guiney says in greeting, “how’d I get stuck working with you cunts?” His wide grin and open arms counteract the words.
A series of warm handshakes are exchanged, but then it’s right to business.
Ebner informs the group that Austria has opted to sideline its men with the promise of support only if things go very, very wrong. They’ll be on comms for the whole operation. That leaves two mixed-company teams to infiltrate the safehouse apartment; one from the front and one from the back. Once the ground floor is secured, Alpha Team will head upstairs while Bravo covers the cellar and makes sure no one gets in or out of the building.
Team assignments are handed out with efficiency before everyone piles into the vans. Most of your squadron ends up with Alpha, headed by Guiney. You and Jacks are the only ARW soldiers on Bravo, which will be led by MacMillan and his lieutenant.
“Looks like we’re top dogs today, Hound,” Murph crows, elbowing you in the ribs before heading over to join the others with Alpha.
You grin and flip him off while Jacks tells the lot of them to go fuck themselves, and turn to find Lieutenant John Price looking right at you. Your eyes go wide and your spine snaps straight.
“Hound, is it?” Barely-there amusement curls at the edge of his mouth.
“It is, yeah.” There should probably be a sir attached to that, but you’re too caught up in the starstruck realization that he remembers you to care.
It’s a stroke of luck that he doesn’t seem to mind. Just hums at the back of his throat with a twinkle in his eye before nodding his head toward the van behind him. “With me.”
—
It’s tight quarters inside the vans, so many soldiers pressed knee to knee. Price is seated across from you. At your side, Jacks is shooting shit with the other Brits in your temporary squad. Already he’s insulted the Queen - your favourite pastime, usually - but you ignore him in favor of quietly observing Price, who in turn is quietly observing you.
He hasn’t changed much in the months since your last meeting.
His face is clean-shaven with an ever-present threat of stubble. The rest of his hair is tucked beneath a dark beanie that either hides a buzz cut or a seriously impressive cowlick - it’s hard to say which would suit him more. His broad frame fills his tactical suit, and the stars in your eyes make him seem that much broader. But it’s his eyes that strike you the most. Clear-cut, no-nonsense blue that sees straight to the heart of you.
What has he found there, you wonder?
In Price it feels like you’ve found the answer to a question that’s been difficult to put to words. He’s so sure. Sure of himself, of his team, of his mission. Every doubt you house is a certainty in him - it’s no wonder they’ve already named him a lieutenant while you can barely keep your rank as sergeant.
“They didn’t court marshal you, then,” he breaches the silence between you.
“Not for lack of trying.” Your smile is crooked and self-deprecating. “I’m fairly certain ‘loose cannon’ is at the top of my file in red ink.”
He huffs a laugh. “Better than ‘temper management issues’.”
“Oh, please,” you say. “Yours has got to be something like ‘hero’ or ‘patriot’. Maybe ‘golden boy’. I bet the recruitment campaigns can’t get enough of you.”
“They tried to get me to pose for a commercial,” he admits.
“Yeah?”
“Told them to sod off.”
You cackle. “Too right!”
The rest of the van ride is spent trading quips back and forth, bantering like you’ve known each other for ages and not just from a one-off meeting months ago. In the time that’s lapsed between then and now you’ve imagined working beside him plenty— more than you should have, being honest. It should be impossible for the man to live up to the myth you’ve manufactured in your mind.
Somehow he exceeds it.
Somehow you’re not surprised.
—
The muffled sound of Bravo team breaching the cellar door is the only thing that breaks the midnight silence of Vienna’s neighborhoods. Combat boots creak down wooden steps, guns at the ready and night vision gear engaged. Captain Macmillan leads the charge, sweeping the space with practiced authority.
“Clear,” he announces. His voice is too-loud and rough in the cramped space.
Though no targets are on this level, a wealth of information seems to be. There’s not an ounce of modern technology to be seen, but every inch of unfinished wall is covered in the paper trail three respective countries have been chasing in vain for months.
“Seems like your man is starting to lose the plot, eh?” Jacks says with his crooked smile, gesturing to documents pinned on corkboards and clipped across strings that hang from the low ceilings.
Your mouth snaps shut on your reply at MacMillan’s warning to keep quiet, but disagreement is plain across your features. Martin is paranoid, certainly, but you wouldn’t call him crazy. Though this organization system is beyond you, it makes sense in theory; Who better than a former MI6 operative can appreciate how insecure cyber storage is, even with encryptions in place?
Paper maps cover one of the walls wholly, marked up in unfamiliar code you’re sure some poor interns will have a field day with. Whatever his next moves are, they must be hidden there. Many of the hanging sheets read like weapons orders, others like mercenary pay stubs, all in a myriad of languages. Everything else is too much text to be anything but a manifesto. You snag one of the sheets for yourself and read a few cursory lines of down with the status quo and death to the Other - nothing that hasn’t been done before.
With a nod from his captain, Price starts barking orders. Everything must be taken down and packed away; this kind of evidence is every operation’s dream. You all set about the work as quietly as you can in case things still aren’t clear inside. MacMillan radios Guiney for a sitrep off to the side before he joins in.
In all of a second it isn’t necessary.
Shouting sounds from inside, then gunfire.
You hear the tinkling of broken glass and the impact of a body hitting the ground and the thunk, thunk of a flashbang falling down cellar stairs before it goes off. Harsh, blinding white overwhelms your senses and forces your eyes to close in a painful squeeze. There’s a ringing in your ears that feels like it’s coming from everywhere. Someone screams. You tear your night vision gear off in a blind panic and blink sightlessly at the chaos.
Fuck.
Fuck!
There’s a dark shape at the foot of the stairwell going up, and before you register what your body is doing you can feel yourself lurch after them. You’re not even sure if you have your gun.
You stagger outside to see Price giving chase to someone who can only be Wesley Martin - him or one of his close associates. Doesn’t matter now. You join in hot pursuit, the thick soles of your boots pounding across Vienna’s pavement. Your lungs burn and your vision is still blurred but you can’t afford to slow down. Price is still several metres ahead.
Without breaking stride he takes aim with his gun and nails Martin squarely in the back. The crack of the shot echoes sharp in the night and lays him flat out in the street. Price continues his sprint, only slowing a few steps out from the body.
Except it isn’t just a body; he’s still alive. You see him move - he must be wearing kevlar - but before you can shout a warning he whips his body around and takes Price out at the legs. Moonlight flashes off the wicked threat of his unsheathed knife. He shoves the blade up hard into Price’s ribs and slashes a wide arc through his belly. You swear it’s happening in slow motion, like those nightmares where you run and run and run but your legs won’t move.
“Get off him, you bastard!” you shout. Martin’s head turns to see you come barrelling at him. He smiles. The knife drips blood. Price gasps and stumbles backward where he’s shoved aside, fingers clutching desperately at the wound.
Your hands feel for the familiar weight of your gun only to find it gone. You must have lost it in the confusion. Martin could easily kill Price now - it’s what you would do, if the situation was reversed - but instead he takes your momentary distraction as a chance to take off again.
It’s his mistake.
You’re close enough and determined enough now that it takes only a few strides to overtake him, and while you don’t have your gun you sure as shit have a knife. The collision happens all at once and in fragments. Your body against his. Your knife in his neck. The scalding spray of blood as you pull it out. The sluice of flesh as you drive it back in. You’re not sure when you stop stabbing, but it’s long after he stops twitching.
His body is limp and strange beneath you. You roll off and stagger to your feet only to retch in the street beside it. Bile bites the back of your throat and you wipe at your mouth with a grimace. Your hands are shaking. Command is going to fucking kill you.
Sirens sound in the distance, now, but the only thing that breaks your thousand yard stare from the man you just killed is the sound of Price’s labored breathing a few metres away.
You blink and all of the sudden you’re knelt in front of him. It takes a moment for him to register that you’ve come back; his eyes stare unseeing, clouded with pain.
“You killed ‘im,” he slurs. “K-I-bloody-A.”
“That’s not important right now,” you snap. “Focus on staying alive. One breath at a time, yeah?” You move his hands from the wound to assess the situation and nearly retch again. Martin stabbed clean through the kevlar, and now his guts are threatening to spill into the street. “Did you radio anyone?”
He just blinks up at you, dumb with shock and bloodloss.
You curse.
With one hand you fish around for the meager med supplies you keep on you, and with the other you call in for help. The radio is sticky with blood. You’re not sure whose. Price has gone so pale. Blood leaks at the corner of his mouth. His teeth are stained red.
You’re only a block over from whatever remains of your squadron but it might as well be miles. They say they’re on the way, but there are so many wounded already. Looking at Price, you know it won’t be fast enough, anyway. You only have a disinfectant wipe, a needle, and surgical thread. Sutures have never been your strong suit, but if it’s not you and it’s not here and now then it’s lights out. You’ll just have to make do.
“No bloody dying,” you warn. “This is gonna hurt.”
You lay Price back carefully, carefully, and smear the alcohol wipe around the edge of the wound. It stings - it must - but he only sucks a sharp breath in without complain. Pinching the skin together, hands slick with blood that isn’t yours, you poise the needle over him.
“Ready?” You’re not sure if you’re asking him or yourself.
He stares up at you with the most lucidity he’s managed since being stabbed. Clear-cut. No-nonsense. So very blue. “Ready.”
—
Your stitch job is crooked and atrocious, but the hospital staff inform you later that it saves his life.
“Be a hell of a scar,” Price laughs from the sterile white of his hospital bed. The sound wheezes out of him. You can tell it hurts, but he seems in good spirits.
So good, in fact, that he’s managed once again to talk you out of a court marshal. He didn’t let up until he’d convinced Command that Wesley Martin had to be put down. That there was no salvaging the mission otherwise and that your actions saved not just his life, but the lives of many. Once those interns deciphered the rest of his plans they were quick to agree. Now you’re all done up in your service dress for an award ceremony later this afternoon. You wanted Price there, but the hospital staff wouldn’t release him from their clutches. A visit just before will have to suffice.
“Something to remember me by,” you say.
There’s something fond and familiar in his eyes that makes your throat hurt. “I would be hard-pressed to forget someone like you, Hound.”
“Running with the big dogs, now,” you grin. He rolls his eyes at the pun. “Next time I kill a target I’m not supposed to I bet they promote me.”
“I don’t doubt it. You do good work.”
“So do you, Lieutenant.”
There’s more you want to say, questions you want to ask him, but they all die in your throat the longer you look at him lying there. Even battered and beaten he’s still so sure. Certainty stinging in the creases of his eyes. Sunshine slatted past hospital window blinds. Dated rock music filtering grainy through the radio one of his lads must’ve brought in. Half-wilted flowers at his bedside. Sitting upright in an uncomfortable bed wrapped in starchy white sheets he is every inch the soldier you’ll never be.
“If you’re ever in England again…” he starts. Maybe you shouldn’t be surprised he’s offering, but you are. A delighted smile lights your face.
“I’m never in England if I can help it,” you say honestly. He laughs. “But give us a call if you hop the channel, yeah?”
“I will do,” he says.
It’s silly to think you’ll actually meet again. Truly, why would you? But it feels like he means it. Like you’re dogs of war, set on intersecting paths to hell.
Somehow, some way, the two of you are always going to find each other.
Somehow, some way, you don’t think you mind.

Some thoughts on Daredevil & Wolverine
On Sunday I went to a matinee screening of Daredevil & Wolverine - the first time I'd seen a film in a cinema since MEGAN back in early 2023. The tl;dr is that I loved it, and I had some general thoughts. By necessity I have to go full spoiler so here's the spoiler break (and if by chance you don't see a break, now's your warning to run away screaming in terror).
I wasn't a fan of the first Deadpool movie. I felt it was a bit pretentious and "R-rated for the sake of being R-rated" rather than telling a good story that happened to hit R (these were my initial thoughts and except for the R-rating part I felt similarly about the first Avatar). As a result I've never actually seen Deadpool 2 (or its PG-13 edit, Once Upon a Deadpool), but I liked Deadpool 3 a lot. It didn't feel pretentious and it had heart which i wasn't really expecting. It had somewhat of the same vibe as Free Guy, which is a good thing. (And just to complete a thought from earlier, I found myself greatly enjoying Avatar 2).
My only concern (though it isn't hurting the box office any) is in some respects the film hits on one of the biggest criticisms of the MCU and other franchises: it is NOT a jumping on point for anything. You need to have at least a passing familiarity with the past Deadpool films, the X-Men films, the MCU films, at least one of the TV series, AND several of the non-Disney/Sony franchises (Blade and the Affleck Daredevil/Elektra, the Fantastic Four films of the mid-2000s) in order to get some of the jokes and for some of the moments to resonate. There are two characters who play key roles in the final act of the film who have absolute no relevance to anyone who hasn't seen Deadpool 2 (like me) and the Loki TV series. The return of X-23 might have also meant a bit more had I seen the Logan movie, as opposed to Elektra and Blade's return, as I had.
BUT - all credit to the writers - while there is a level of "continuity lockout", it's not enough to damage the film. And when I did see a moment related to a film I knew (I somehow managed to avoid being spoiled about Chris Evans reprising Human Torch), it hit a bullseye.
I'm going to have to watch the film at least once more because a few references landed when I was thinking back on the film hours later (like Deadpool joking about getting a boner watching Gossip Girl, which wasn't a random pop culture reference - his wife, Blake Lively starred in it.)
Speaking of, I loved the way Ryan Reynolds had Blake and his kids play some of the Deadpool variants (though I was disappointed to learn Blake only did the voice of Lady Deadpool). Nathan Fillion is also in there somewhere, making this the 3rd time I think that he's done a cameo in an MCU film. Reading the cast credits is a must (yes, that IS Henry Cavill as a Wolverine. I wonder if he was ever considered for the part? He plays a somewhat super-powered Wolverine too. Super, get it? LOL)
Jennifer Garner was already over 50 when she reprised Elektra and looks amazing. She could do an Elektra film now (or an Alias revival) if she wanted to.
Hugh Jackman has aged well into the role of Wolverine. I hope we get to see another one with him (now paired with X-23, played by Dafne Keen, a rising star who I know from the His Dark Materials TV series in which she co-starred, coincidentally, with James McAvoy of X-Men fame).
Channing Tatum as Gambit was a real surprise. The point about him appearing is that film starring him as Gambit (an X-Men spinoff) was planned but cancelled, so he finally gets the chance. Although played mostly for laughs (and reminiscent of Tatum's cameo in Reynold's Free Guy), he kicks ass. If a Gambit movie isn't announced down the line I'll be surprised.
Similarly, Wesley Snipes makes a strong case (no disrespect intended to Mahershala Ali) for continuing to play Blade. He even says this in the movie!
It is no secret that recent Marvel movies have been controversial and not universally loved by a long shot. D&W does not shy away from this - which may make some people uncomfortable, but at the same time respect to Disney for allowing it. I'm surprised there was no dig at Star Wars' expense, though; I guess Disney only allowed the biting-the-hand humour to go so far.
There is a female counterpart to Charles Xavier in this film. Played by Emma Corrie, Cassandra Nova is one of the best villains the MCU has had for a while. Much like Sylvie, the female version of Loki in the TV series, I appreciated that they didn't just make Cassandra a copy of Charles but made her a unique character. I wasn't aware she originated in the comics until after I saw the film. Too bad they killed her off. Or did they?
Kudos for making D&W the first-ever MCU film to reference Saskatoon (though maybe not in the sense the city would like! LOL). There were a few other Canadian references in the movie - the CN Tower makes a notable cameo on The Void. Which, if you've ever been to Toronto ... (I'll leave that joke there LOL)
The dog. Nothing else need be said. Part of me hopes Ryan Reynolds saw her up for adoption and wrote the entire Dogpool subplot just to get her in the movie.
The closing credits, aside from having one of the best stingers of all time, also includes a retrospective video of the non-MCU movies with behind the scenes and interviews. It's in keeping with the fourth-wall-breaking concept of Deadpool and at the same time it's a touching tribute to the older films, including some that were under-appreciated by audiences at the time.
I do have one major criticism (and this is legit the only part of the movie I did NOT like): considering the film is in part a sequel to Loki, and the fact so many MCU characters are referenced, including a cameo (using manipulated stock footage) of Chris Hemsworth as Thor, it actually makes zero sense that the film did not have an appearance in some form by either Tom Hiddleston as Loki or by one of the other Loki variants (Sylvie, Richard Grant's version, or even a new one). Instead we have an appearance by one of the agents from the series and one name drop of the Loki TV series itself (which means Reynolds & Co. would have been aware of the Loki variants including the quite-popular Classic Loki played by Grant). Also, it's unclear if it takes place before or after the events of Loki the series. I think it was a lost opportunity (maybe there's a deleted scene). But as criticisms go, that's still pretty minor.
The gag reel on this is going to be glorious.

Siampie's Masterlist of Matt Murdock Fics
Matt Murdock x Fem! Reader Series
Risk and Reward [Chapter list]
Pairing: Matt Murdock x Fem!Reader
Warnings/tags: 18+ contains smut, angst, fluff, mutual pining, idiots in love, childhood trauma
After years of dedicating yourself to your family, you took one of the greatest risks of your life. You moved away from everything you’ve ever known. You separated yourself from your family and kickstarted your life across the states. You moved to Hell’s Kitchen, New York. With no ties, no friends, no family, you knew it would be hard to start a new life. But you didn’t think it would be that hard. Shy by nature, and rendered cautious by your own broken past, socializing with others was a challenge. It was daunting. Mostly, in this new life, you kept to yourself. It was easier to wake up in the morning, go to work and come back home. And repeat it all the day after. But it can get very lonely. One night, you took another risk. You said yes, to your coworkers to have a drink after work. And there, in Josie’s bar, you crossed path with a disarmingly charming lawyer. Matt Murdock. Would he be worth the risks?

Warnings/tags: 18+ contains smut, angst, fluff, comfort, hurt, canonical violence, plot heavy, slow burn
A/N: The events of this series are taking place post season 1 and before season 2. Matt is still sporting the black suit. Cause you know he’s more intimidating and is also easily more injured in it. Also, this story is inspired by Ashevillain and you can find her story on AO3: What They Wouldn’t Do . You should send her some love; her story is just epic and amazing.
As the loyal secretary to the infamous Wilson Fisk, you worked under the supervision of James Wesley. Under the guise of loyalty, you were paying off debts that weren’t your own. Protecting your family from Fisk’s clutches. In the aftermath of his arrest, and the shocking death of James Wesley, you cling to the hope of reclaiming your freedom and independence. However, your aspirations are quickly dashed when Harry Leblanc, the ambitious new CEO of Fisk Industries, along with his assistant, Octavia Turpin, tighten their grip on your life. They impose increasingly dangerous demands upon you. You find yourself trapped in a web of manipulation and control, facing tasks you could never fathom. As the pressure mounts and your situation grows increasingly perilous, you realize that escaping their clutches is not just a desire but a necessity. Desperate, you turn to the vigilante; Daredevil for help. The very man that has put your former boss into prison. What begins as a reluctant partnership soon evolves into an unexpected alliance, as you both navigate the dangerous intersections of power, morality, and survival. Together, you plot a way to sever the ties that bind you to Leblanc and Turpin. As trust is tested and secrets unravel, this unexpected alliance may just lead to your undoing—or a chance at redemption.

Round 1 of 8, Group 2 of 8
propaganda and summaries are under the cut (May include spoilers)
Angel: The Series: 5.22 Not Fade Away
tw a lot of death, a politician
In the series finale, Angel reveals that his questionable moral behavior has been part of a bigger plan: to destroy The Circle of the Black Thorn and show the Senior Partners that the power of good can still make a difference. Wesley struggles with helping Illyria adapt to the world, scolding her for her attempts to take on Fred's form. As Gunn continues his quest of self-discovery, Lorne becomes more aware of the lack of happiness in the world. Harmony attempts to seduce Marcus Hamilton for information, Lindsey makes an important decision regarding his alliance, and Eve continues to deal with being mortal. As Spike comes closer to understanding the nature of heroism, Angel pays a visit to the one person he truly loves. On Angel's bidding, the gang goes out and spends each day as if it were their last...
The main characters spend the episode doing what they want to do most, in what may well be their last day on Earth. There's so much great full-circle/character stuff, so many emotional moments, and then there's the actual event, the Apocalypse, the reckoning the season, the show built up to. And they only show part of it. The episode doesn't end after the big battle, it ends right before it. And that sounds infuriating, but it's such a great way to end a show that's all about fighting the Good Fight and never stopping to, a show about how there never comes a singular point where you've achieved redemption because it's a continuous process, becoming better day by day, a show on people who never give up and keep going even in the face of Hell itself. It's the best finale I could think of. Also, "Would you like me to lie to you now?" makes me cry no matter how many times I rewatch it.
H2O Just Add Water: 2.12 Fish Fever
Emma gets poisoned after cutting her finger on some coral and she begins to turn into a white scaled monster. Meanwhile Charlotte thinks Cleo is trying to break her and Lewis apart.
A main character (Emma) gets mermaid sick and turned into a mermaid at the waterpark, craves sardines all the time and exposed her mermaid secret to some random child by accident
