This was a few months back but after like 15 years I was finally able to get my first mega evolution ever on Digimon World 4!!

This is Weregarurumon X, it evolved from Dorumon and it is so cool to play with it.

And Maybe they took some inspiration from this one to make the new Sagittarius mode from Digimon Adventure 2020.

Resident Evil - Digimon AU (Part 5)

My first thought was to give Chris, as the typical protagonist, an Agumon version, but then I decided to have a bit more fun. Boulder-punching Chris gets a rock Digimon that turns into a volcano guy. Boltmon also looks like it can punch boulders. Maybe Chris could have a competition with it.

Claire’s Digimon is purely based on the jacket she wore in early games. I didn’t like the regular Digivolution line with Gatomon for her, though.

I wanted Leon to have a warrior-like Digimon, preferably with blades. And Hackmon + Digivolutions was my first choice here.

I had no idea what Jill should get. I wanted to give her something blue and not too cute looking. This is the one I like the most for her.

Digimon Adventure: 2020 – Episode 22: The Unbeatable Blue Sagittarius (Review)

Thoughts on the twenty-second episode of the Digimon Adventure reboot series.

This was objectively a pretty decent episode. But I didn’t like it as much as I should have, because I found myself rolling my eyes at Takeru a lot, lol.

Oh, Takeru is psychic! Well, he’s telepathically linked to a feather. New OTP alert! :P

Now that Takeru is actually saying more than two words, I really don’t like his new voice. It sounds too much like a little girl. And Patamon. And I just don’t like it. I don’t find Takeru as adorable as I did, back when he never spoke, lol.

It was nice that Gabumon had a moment to tell Takeru that he’d protect him until Takeru got his partner digimon . . . but of course you would? :P If you didn’t, you wouldn’t be a good digimon, Blue Sir.

I actually don’t like this version of Takeru shown here and the last episode. He’s way too brave (and it’s not believable). He’s just super brave . . . at eight. Actually, I could argue that every one of the kids has the Crest of Courage, lol. Taichi, your position is now redundant, so be afraid. XD;

Sora’s profile picture for text messages is a vase with flowers. How cute!

Just lol at the copies of the people going into the elevator . . . are the animators really that lazy/poor? Also, if you think that was way too many people to actually fit into an elevator, you need to see commuters being squished into trains in Tokyo. XD;

The fight scenes in this episode were pretty good though. Props.

DarkKnightmon looks cool. I can totally see the full-on Digimon nerds loving this episode just because of him. :P

That shot of WereGarurumon looking down at Takeru as he saves him actually looks like he’s about to attack him, lol. What a great animated expression there. /s

Takeru jumping off DarkKnightmon to fall quite a distance to a floating block is just utterly ridiculous. Compare this insanely brave, acrobatic Takeru to the OG Takeru who tripped over a rock or something, and had Taichi help pick him back up . . . and that trip wasn’t even a life-threatening moment. This is! NO, REBOOT, NO.

Takeru should have died a hundred times over in this episode and the previous one. You will not convince me otherwise.

Gomamon and Palmon’s reactions to Jou and Mimi arriving were adorbs.

There is just no way Takeru (and Yamato) could hold themselves up by the strength of their legs . . . they would totally fall into the miasma at that angle. I know, I know, if I wanted realistic situations, I shouldn’t count on Adventure 2020. It just looked so awkward though! :P

Yamato to Takeru: “If it could’ve been helped, I’d rather not have dragged you into this.” Cute. But was it worth the entire floating block/miasma scenario to have this moment? No. The whole thing was silly.

Again, Yamato obviously benches. And so does Takeru. XD;

It was a nice change for WereGarurumon - and not his partner - to be responsible for the new evolution. And WereGarurumon: Sagittarius Mode looks a lot cooler than MetalGreymon: Alteros Mode. How dare Toei!

Poyomon! Thank god that was a fast rebirth and they won’t be dragging it out. :P

So, we are now officially one-third of the way through the series - if the 66-episode run is indeed true.

But I think the series started off stronger than where it is now . . . I enjoyed the first few Omegamon episodes a lot, and episode 8 was excellent, as was episode 16. And I thoroughly enjoyed all the Sorato episodes because I’m biased.

But Toei really needs to get the kids back together soon, because the trio of Taichi-Yamato-Takeru isn’t cutting it for me. I want my gang back together!

A few things I would like to get out about this week episode is;

One; I'll be writing my reviews like this now since it's easier and I like it

Two; I was expecting a Yamato centric episode, not a Takeru centric episode, which I am very, very, very fine with. Like really fine with. His debut episode didn't feel like his debut episode since he was unconscious half of it

Three; I love seeing digimon's interacting and protecting other children who they are not partnered with, that's why is was as refreshing seeing Gabumon vowing to protect Takeru until they find Poyomon as seeing the other digimon's being so clingy to Meiko

Four;

Taichi: I can't believe Yamato's brother turned out to be the partner

Then you most certainly won't believe when your own sister turns out to be the second holy digimon's partneer

Five; Devimon straight up said he'll kill Takeru so the Holy Digimon will be even more corrupted and no one reacted at all. Not even our overly protective Yamato who doesn't seem to be that overprotective now

Six; Yes, they are finally fleshing out the Crest Of Hope. In the OG, he only used his crest once and it didn't really feel like Hope to me. Now, he vowed to never give up which gave hope to WereGarurumon to never give up and guess who got his power-up?

Seven; WereGarurumon changes modes to Sagittarius Mode (talk abt him later) and AxeKnightmon dies (at least for now) and the entire castle gets dimoloshed by...Poyomon. The egg hatched and a baby did a whole ton of damage. Instead of Angemon using his Heaven's Knuckle and the power of the seven digivices, Devimon will die by Tokomon biting his hand.

Eight; WereGarurumon Sagittarius Mode is so much cooler than I thought he looked. IMO, I like him much better than MetalGreymon AM. Not only can he use his wings to fly, but he can also use them as a sword and gun.

Nine; WereGarurumon having a fashion check in his enclyopedia? Seems legit

Ten; Judging by the "Which Digimon is next?" part in the enclyopedia, I really do hope that Lillymon will be getting a new mode too! But I've been wondering what will it be. WereGarurumon and MetalGreymon got their new modes bases off of their X-Antibody, but what will a ribbon do? Maybe she'll get the vines from Rosemon X?

Eleven; Oh my god, too many points! NeoDevimon is making (I think) his first animated appearance next ep! Seems like the theories came true. And Tokomon! Little tiny with teeth's-that-are-probably-bigger-than-him Tokomon! I hope he stays for a while. He's my favourite In training and I really love in-training's

Digimon Adventure: 2020 – Episode 24: The Final Stage, DoneDevimon (Review)

Thoughts on the twenty-fourth episode of the Digimon Adventure reboot series.

As a standalone, I think this episode was pretty darn good. But as the end of the Devimon arc? It’s disappointing that another Devimon evolution (and the final one?) went out in another single episode, lol.

Odd thing to notice, but 2020 has made Yamato just as fast of a runner as Taichi. In the OG, across all the seasons, Taichi is always the fastest (thus why he plays soccer) and Yamato the second fastest. I have no point here - it’s just something I’ve always observed, and 2020 made them equal in this respect. :P

I generally think reboot Taichi is a vastly inferior version to OG Taichi. But his pushing Yamato to safety has made me like him a lot more (still nowhere near as much as OG Taichi though!). Thanks, reboot. Taichi levelled up!

Takeru is like a Pokemon - if his name was “oniichan” that is, lol.

We get a glimpse of the B team with their D storyline and zzzzz. lol. It’s not their fault, of course, but I really don’t care what they’re up to. I just want them back in the main storyline so that they become relevant again!

Yamato hangs off of WereGarurumon like a baby, LOL. I cannot un-see this.

WereGarurumon: Sagittarius Mode is so freakin’ cool, I have no idea why the reboot shafted MetalGreymon’s special mode so hard in comparison. XD;

How on Earth did Yamato survive a blast - especially at close range? The mind boggles. This is like Sora surviving a thump against a cliff in tri. . . . I don’t know which is more unrealistic. They should both be dead. XD;

So Tokomon is really powerful, eh? Yeah, I don’t like it. It’s just a total cop-out to make a digimon powerful at any level . . .

Whoa, DoneDevimon EATING TAICHI was so surprising, ridiculous and awesome at the same time. Did Takeru shit himself watching in shock? Does DoneDevimon shit out Taichi? Find out next time - or in this same episode, lol.

I really liked the reboot’s version of the OG’s “dark evolution” - this time making it MetalGreymon’s rage at Taichi being eaten. He rages into Machinedramon (in spirit?). Good shit.

The action this episode was very nice indeed. Just giving props where it’s due.

I still don’t like that the Crests haven’t been explained yet (what do kids watching even think they are?) - and that they seem to lack any meaning whatsoever. I’m pretty sure all the kids - except Jou - have the Crest of Courage. :P

DoneDevimon was an amazing opponent - I wish he had been a foe for longer. I do like when Devimon actually has a brain, because he’s a great villain, but his evolving into an actual mindless “monster” worked really well for me, too. So I’m cool with it. He was awesome.

I’m not sure I liked how the battle ended, though. There were too many spirits, lol. But yay WarGreymon cameo, I guess? I dunno. I could’ve done with a better end.

Patamon! And then . . . an abrupt ending, lol. THAT’S NOT HOW YOU END AN EPISODE, TOEI.

This episode was surprising and exciting with really good action moments mixed in with emotional moments. I mostly dug it. I still don’t think DoneDevimon should have been defeated in a single episode . . . but whatever, it’s done (Devimon :PPP).

Please just get my kids back together again and all is forgiven, Toei. :P
