I’ve been working on redesigns for a while now, and here’s the first batch! Rather than doing them in a specific order, I had people on insta drop characters into an ask box and went down the line! This wound up being a really, really fun practice! Going with a chibi-ish style helped a lot in trying to just get the base idea down and worry about tiny details later on. Explanations/notes under the cut!
Edit: Changed Kork’s uniform to a deep navy blue as opposed to the original green after being informed of the ill origins of that green. Also changed Kyoko’s hair slightly
Reblogs are appreciated!! They help a lot!!
Notes on photos in text form...
Korekiyo - Cut hair shorter, emblem replaces armband, shirt no longer hanging out; tucked in.
Chihiro - Hair pin from Junko, Ibuki dyed her tipes, new ribbon from Taka
Mikan - Kokichi cut her hair (for her, dw), leggings for coverage, longer sleeves, non-slip shoes. (for reference, i asked my mom just to make sure... and mikan's outfit does not at all suit a nurse, so i gave her more coverage while still keeping the fit there in a certain fashion)
Ibuki - Pigtails!!, they actually wear (part of) the school uniform, dyed their romper, white and black hair like hers would not go well as the black would quickly bleed into such small streaks of white. So i had their bangs and two sections in the front white with pink and blue streaks, while the rest of her hair is black with pink and blue streaks. Her horns are completely fake and are just attached to a headband.
Mondo - Emblem on the right jacket breast, overall just simplified certain things and gave him longer hair.
Kyoko - Butchered CUT her hair, pants for their own comfort, bracelet is smaller in actuality, it was a gift from Taka shortly after she was taken in by the Ishimarus (it's a whole thing), they got sneakers because their boots wound up not working as something to wear for long periods of time.
Hajime - Scar from surgery is there, just not shown due to simplified style (and not at all because i forgot), pride flag button, Usami keychain from Chiaki.
Chiaki - She's chubbier now :), gave her HP's uniform top and ribbon, hair color brightened to be a bit more pink, shorts under her skirt, tries to eat things she shouldn't.
Hina - Heterochromia (she's afraid of straight people), barrette is now heart shaped, swim club leader, she's got a bra because... her back would hurt hello?, i'm sorry- her shoes were tacky imo so I changed them
Sonia - Glittery bow, emblem on left arm--student council, 'dress' based on beta design, boots act as Kaz defense
Nekomaru - Uniform sleeves always rip, baggier pants because... reasons.
Makoto - His hair almost makes sense!, bro is falling constantly, ONE jacket, no doubling up... bland, but not too bland
Taka - Public Morals Committee chairperson, student council president, debate club leader, taller collar, more gold accents, NO arm band--it's replaced with the eye shown next to him, got matching boots from Junko after their original boots were ruined by bullies
Celeste - Her and Taka do one another's eyebrows, hair is curly--drills still fake, beta fit is superior, bunny from Hifumi (they're actually close, an attempt to give her more humanization was made), monster high esc shoes (she wears her canon shoes to most events, but the monster high esc shoes mix tennis shoes and heels for ease of movement and comfort)
Gundham - Oldest Ishimaru sibling, leader of the animal raising committee, partially blind, less layers
Mahiru - Still has her camera, it was just excluded here to focus on her design, romper with flowy shorts, matching bracelets with Hiyoko
Regarding the Hopes Peak emblem; I thought it may be interesting to change up the way uniforms are implemented into it... In that, there are basic uniform options, but students are relatively allowed to wear what they wish provided it followed guidelines (example being Miu's uh.. garters?? I think that's what they are? they wouldn't be allowed), and had the Hopes Peak insignia somewhere on the outfit. Following that, while the insignia can be somewhat customized in that students could change the white to be a different color, but students who lead clubs, committees, student council, etc., have the black part replaced.
(Note: assuming Nidai doesn't directly manage any teams at HP, he does not have an insignia implying such; subject to change.)
An interesting little fun fact here... well, to me... some of these actually called back to the beta designs! Mainly, with Sonia and Celeste! Admittedly a few characters got little to no changes, mostly because I just found that their designs already fit pretty well. Others, such as Taka, Makoto, or Mahiru, took the basic idea of their outfits and spruced them up. I'm not entirely sure when I originally implemented the Amy Rose rings on Taka's sleeves, but I felt it added a bit more of a dynamic pallet to his design. Or like, Makoto, a mix of simplification and sprucing up... I've never enjoyed the excessive layers he's got (lookin at you, gundham), wearing his school jacket over his hoodie always seemed... strange to me. So I figured with the change to HP dress code (considering these students don't even wear the uniform in school modes or anything), it allowed for him to just wear the hoodie with a HP insignia embroidered onto it. He's also got bandages given his canonically clumsy nature. Mahiru is someone else whose design I like but I wanted to change up somewhat, so I changed her dress to a romper with a flared bottom and a flannel pattern.
If you've got any questions regarding changes, feel free to ask!

Kiyotaka ramble chp 3
Kiyotaka not getting a full set of free times annoys the HELL out of me. If you aren't going to utilize his character then just have him executed in chapter two and Mondo live longer. They clearly didn't care for either character much until the other was away from them? We get Kiyotaka literally going catatonic and the devs didn't care about any form of development. And other than the sauna scene and his trial (Which SHOULD and NEEDS to be focused on Mondo) he just punches Makoto, throws Monokuma, and then gets liquified. Basically. This isn't Mondo hate or Kiyotaka hate, I love them both - probably more than the devs /nsrs -
I played all of Kiyotaka's FTEs in the third chapter can y'all imagine THE DISSAPOINTMENT when it went "..." "..." "..." AND THAT WAS IT?! And I went back for more time with my boy, because he was dying that chapter and I HATED it.
I also kept trying to unlock Kiyondo events! THESE WERE GOING TO BE USED IN THE BETA DESIGN BUT WERE SCRAPPED?! WE COULD'VE HAD KIYONDO CONTENT??? And they didn't give it?! They skipped 5 Kiyotaka/Kiyondo FTEs! We could have had SO much more on his past and character - not that we don't not have lots already - BUT STILL!!!
In chapter 3 I hated it so much that I skipped over FTEs to get it all over with and then just went to bed ready for the next day, I was not suprised when Kiyotaka and Hifumi died, and I didn't care that Yasuhiro wasn't there. IT OBVIOUSLY WASN'T HIM!
And also like... Danganronpa THH cast, DID YOU NOT TRY TO HELP TAKA AT ALL!?!??!? DID YOU NOT BOTHER WITH HIM?! THE MAN WASN'T EATING?! HE WASN'T BEING A LEADER FOR THE GROUP DID YOU NOT THINK HE WAS VALID?!
Oh but they care when Aoi has a stomach ache? Yeah okay that checks out, fine. smh.

I got 5 for ya :3
5, 9, 23, 30, and 31!!
5. Which character would you hypothetically die for?
No contest, no debate, it’s makoto
9. Who is your least favorite protagonist?
Kaede.. I love her, but she was so painfully underutilized imo. Maybe it was just because I went in knowing the chapter 1 twist but I was just... I wish we had more reason to care about her aside from “she’s a perfect angel” yk?
23. Which are your top 3 beta designs?
Chiaki with the dark color scheme and straight hair and Mikan with buns and weird stitches & the brain in a jar bc I’m a sucker for the gothic sort of aesthetics
And Mondo with gun hair because it’s hysterical
I definitely think Chiaki and Mikan’s final designs fit them better but I love the beta designs’ darker aesthetics.
30. Whose design do you enjoy the most?
Celeste is beautiful and I hate her for it bc I hate her character but I am a MASSIVE sucker for gothic and lolita aesthetics and Celeste’s being gothic Lolita inspired is so. <3
31. Whose design do you dislike the most?
They did Sayaka so dirty w that outfit it’s not even funny

Rank down your favorite protagonist, including fangan
//I was gonna do this last night, before I went to bed, but I realized it would take way longer than I thought, so I’ll do it now.
//Quick bonus ranking to celebrate the series return, I guess.
//This one will include the following:
The protags of the main series games.
The protags of the Another series.
The protags of every fanganronpa featured on the blog (Rebirth, H2O, Blowback and New World Order)
The original protags of the light novel series and manga.
//It will NOT include the following:
Kuripa Kurafto and Uchui Porosen are OC’s made for my own fanganronpa, that first appeared on this blog, and are characters of my own making, so naturally I’m biased towards them. Therefore, neither will be included.
Mukuro Ikusaba may be the protagonist of the IF light novel, but that’s bonus content for the games, and the only novels that count here are the full-fledged one’s like Zer0 and Kirigiri.
Similarly, Yasuhiro and Kanon are not included for the same reason.
Chiaki from DR3 is not a protag, neither is Chisa Yukizome. Neither of them are counted.
Once again, Despite being the central characters of their own light novel series, Kyoko and Byakuya do not count. Therefore they won’t be on this list.
//Also, I didn’t state it last list, shame on me for that one, but there are HEAVY spoilers for the fangans in this one, so just be wary.
//Anyway, let’s do this.
15 - Kazuki Watanabe [Danganronpa Blowback]
//He’s just a carbon copy of Makoto, but with Hajime’s mannerisms. He’s an extremely beta character and doesn’t bring anything especially new to the table. He’s got a cool design, sure, but he’s not fleshed out in any particular way, and the fact that Blowback stopped at two chapters doesn’t help his case.
14 - Takumi Hijirihara [Danganronpa Gaiden: Killer Killer]
//Without stating my overall opinion on Killer Killer as a whole, I’m NOT into Hijirihara AT ALL. He deserves credit for being a bit different from the norm, and it is interesting that he’s notably more violent and sinister than any other DR protag but...he’s just an over-glorified serial killer, and while he’s played to be cool, he just comes off as a complete loser for me, especially with that weird trait where he falls in love super easily.
13 - Yui Samidare [Danganronpa: Kirigiri]
//I’ll confess I haven’t actually read the Kirigiri novel series, so there’s a severe limit to what I know and understand about Yui outside of the wiki. With that in mind, I can’t put her up especially high because of my limited understanding of her character, but maybe one day she’d get higher up. She is cute though, and I’ve seen her on other ask blogs before.
12 - Ayumu Fujimori [Danganronpa Re:Birth/RebirthVoices]
//Despite Ayumu’s dominance in the world of Survivor, as far as protags go in Danganronpa’s fandom, he’s a little fish in a big pond. I’m not going to claim the way I write Ayumu is BETTER than Miwashiba’s, because the dynamic between their Ayumu and my Ayumu could not be more different. Much like Kazuki, nothing he brings is anything especially new, not even his whole cross-dressing thing, which was already done by Chihiro, and BETTER there than it was here. However, he DID serve as a big inspiration for Danganronpa ReProgrammed, so I have to thank him for that.
11 - Yuki Maeda [Danganronpa: Another Despair Academy]
//Yuki is just another extremely standard Danganronpa protag, and he’s thankfully saved by his association to Utsuro, and the lore behind him, yet he is far FAR outclassed by Sora in the sequel. A few things he does have going for him are despite the fact that Hajime also did the secret identity thing with Izuru, Yuki with Utsuro, while the same concept, is written in a unique way that’s different from Hajime. Plus, he’s not COMPLETELY a carbon copy of protags like Makoto, since he has his own traits, and especially seeing him develop over the course of both games works in his favor. I like Yuki a lot, I just think nearly every other protag is better than him.
10 - Ryoko Otanashi [Danganronpa Zer0]
//If Ryoko had been a protagonist of a spinoff game as opposed to a light novel, I would probably put her higher because she’s actually a cute and loveable character. The twist with her is also pretty cool. I have very mixed opinions on Zer0 as a whole, but both Ryoko and Yasuke were interesting additions to the roster of characters, and it’s a cool concept for Junko Enoshima to have an alter. Honestly, I feel bad for the girl. (By the way, I don’t really count Yasuke as a protagonist despite being a major character and also having an ahoge, which is why he’s not on the list). Similar to Yuki, I just like everyone above Ryoko more than her, and that’s the only reason she falls so low.
09 - Blaise [Danganronpa V2: New World Order]
//Blaise served narratively in New World Order the same way Kaede did in V3, and despite it being something the series has already done, it still was done very well. For those who don’t know, I have a YouTube Channel where I’m currently playing through New World Order, and my reaction to the twist at the end of Chapter 1 is up there if you want to see it. As a character, Blaise is admittedly pretty standard, but he does have a lot of interesting dialogue and ideals in comparison to Yuki, Ayumu or Kazuki, who’s can get a little repetitive and bland because they just talk about how they’re “normal” or “unlucky”, but being a teacher, it’s engaging to see things from Blaise’s analytical, tutorous and careful perspective. And I do wish we could have seen more of it.
08 - Nataliya [Danganronpa V2: New World Order]
//That being said, Nataliya who takes over the role of protag in New World Order is hardly a downgrade. I’ll admit, the weeabu dialogie and where she randomly speaks in Japanese Romaji like a cutesy anime girl can get...weird and annoying at times, but you grow used to it. And you can see that despite how strong and confident she comes across from the start, when you finally get to play as her, her relatable insecurities and hidden traits as a character really make you sympathize with her position. It’s actually pretty hard to separate her and Blaise because they’re about as good as each other, but the reason Nataliya gets one spot up is on account of being the real protagonist of the game that you play as for more than one chapter.
07 - Komaru Naegi & Toko Fukawa [Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls]
//We count these two as one unit because they are duel protagonists of the same game. And yes, I count Toko as a protagonist; she has the ahoge and she is playable for a large portion of the game, so she counts. These two are my least favourite protags from the CANON series, but that doesn’t mean I think they’re bad. They’re relatable, they’re fun at times, and the only reason they’re this low is because Toko still left me bitter after the first game (though she turns out pretty freaking great in this game) and Komaru is a character who, while yes, she develops, does so far too slowly. But everything great about UDG rides on the dynamic of these two, and even though I have my own personal issues with this spinoff, I have to admit the writers definitely did them justice.
06 - Maya Canzanilla [Hyper Danganronpa H2O: Abandon All Hope]
//I know I talked about how many see Maya as an unlikeable protagonist, because she’s straight to the point, can be frequently rude and savage, and doesn’t seem to care about other people’s feelings, but I actually disagree. Maybe initially, Maya is pretty underwhelming, and you don’t have fun playing as her, but I relate to Maya a lot, because I am also pretty straightforward. As I tend to state to other people “I say what I mean and mean what I say, I might sound mean, but I’ll say it anyway.” And while people do have issues with Milkpunches and the game as a whole, Maya’s dialogue is fucking hilarious, and her own conflicts as a character are surprisingly fun. So for those saying that Maya is a terrible protagonist, I greatly respect your opinion, but also know that I disagree.
05 - Makoto Naegi [Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc/Danganronpa 3: The End of Hope’s Peak Academy]
//Makoto is underappreciated. Yeah, he’s the complete beta version of every protagonist in the series, but come on, he was the FIRST one. It’s hard to know what’s going to work if you plan on making a game series, and having your first protagonist be a plain slate who’s relatable and normal might not be the most entertaining direction to go in, but it’s the safest. And it’s not like he never has his cool moments. In fact he has more than most other protags in the series. It’s one thing to be a unique and entertaining protagonist, but it’s another to be the single character who DEFINES the meta in the first place. As mentioned before, Yuki, Kazuki and a lot of other Fangan Protags are clearly based on Makoto, and I feel like there’s a reason for that.
04 - Shuichi Saihara [Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony]
//Shuichi develops better than any other character in Danganronpa, and I will die on that hill. Byakuya and Fuyuhiko are strong competitors, but you know how I mentioned that depending on my mood, who number 1 is on this list can easily change? Shuichi is the prime example. If this list was based on how fun each protag is to write on the blog, he would easily be Number 1 or 2 just because of how ingenious and conflicting he is. And he has some of the greatest character moments of any character in the series, even outside of the protagonist groups. His scenes with Kaede in Chapter 1, his bonding moments with Kaito and Maki throughout the game, his conflicting feelings towards Kokichi as a would-be rival. He starts off as a character who is very weak, and then gradually turns into one of the most capable, intelligent and powerful characters the series has ever known.
03 - Hajime Hinata [Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair/Danganronpa 3: The End of Hope’s Peak Academy]
//Many consider Hajime to be the best protagonist in the series, and I honestly can see why. However lots of people in the fanbase argue that Hajime suffers from similar problems to Makoto, in that he appears bland initially, but I GENUINELY disagree. The only thing bland about Hajime is his initial premise of being a nobody living amongst lions that are the Ultimate’s around him, both when he doesn’t remember his talent, and when he finds out he never had one; but that might as well not matter because of how great his characterization is. Unlike Makoto, Shuichi and Kaede, he doesn’t have one set personality, and has a whole load of unique and entertaining traits i.e. his blunt attitude and harsh words towards his peers, the snarky comments he makes, his aloof nature, and how unlike the other protags, he doesn’t let anyone get TOO close. He also comes off as more overconfident and serious than Makoto and Shuichi too, but you can easily see that he’s extremely doubtful of himself, gets anxious frequently and overthinks things similarly to how Shuichi does. As a protagonist, it's very unique to give a character levels to his personality. While Hajime is very snarky and cynical we often see him caring for others, wanting to help them with their problems, which is probably his true personality shining through. He’s just written so goddamn well in both DR2 and DR3, and nobody can see it dammit!
02 - Kaede Akamatsu [Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony]
//I will admit, I’m incredibly biased towards Kaede, and NOT because she’s one of the few female protagonists in the main series. It’s up for debate whether or not she actually counts as a protagonist, since the whole premise is that she’s a fake-out for Shuichi, but considering you get to play as her for at least a whole chapter, do FTE’s with her, AND the fact that she’s one of the initial player characters in Summer Camp, as well as one of the characters featured in the final CG...Yeah, Kaede is a protagonist, get over it. And just because she dies super early on, that’s not a detriment to her character, and is one of the few examples in the series of that NOT being the case. There are a lot of things I love about Kaede, and if I went through them all, I’d be here all day, but I’ll break it down into a few points. Firstly, she’s the best designed protagonist; her adorable looks compliment her adorable personality, and the symbolism in her outfit to her Ultimate Pianist talent work so incredibly well. Secondly, her personality is so unique compared to the other protagonists. Makoto, Hajime, Komaru and Shuichi all have similar personalities, in that they underestimate their abilities, and oftentimes think that they’ll never be good enough. Kaede ALSO has this personality trait, but she’s confident and determined enough to overcome it...most of the time. One COULD argue that this is problematic for Kaede, because it makes her a Mary Sue, but that’s where I would HEAVILY disagree. It’s true that Kaede turned out to NOT be a killer in the end, and was framed by Tsumugi, but the point is that she still TRIED to end the Killing Game by killing the Mastermind, which she even admits herself in the end was a stupid plan that came about as a result of her desperation, and her overly positive attitude being ruined by the pressure she was under. Not to mention that she lies in the first class trial just to protect Shuichi, so she’s not above doing skeevy things for the betterment of everyone else AND she sometimes makes perverted comments, which is HILARIOUS. As I mentioned before, I love Shuichi, who also has a great personality that develops well, but Kaede’s overall personality and the depths her character goes too far exceed his for me. And third and finally, I love her relationship with Shuichi. You all know by this point that I am a huge Saimatsu shipper, but even outside of the ship, Kaede and Shuichi just make an amazing duo. Admittedly, Shuichi using Kaede as a social and emotional crutch might seem detrimental to their relationship, but narratively, that’s kind of why Kaede had to die to help Shuichi progress as a person. He couldn’t just keep relying on her. And even outside of Shuichi, her relationship with the other characters and the ways it teeter-totters, because in trying to help them, she keeps getting them in trouble and they start to blame her for their problems, is painful and upsetting, and you just feel bad for her, but at the same time, you know that they have a good point, and she’s in the wrong for forcing them to go along with her plan. Again, she’s NOT perfect, and that’s why she’s so good! Because her flaws aren’t obvious, and they’re only brought out when everything eventually goes to shit. So for people out there saying Kaede sucks? FUCK YOU! Kaede’s fantastic!
01 - Sora [Super Danganronpa Another 2: The Moon of Hope and Sun of Despair]
//Take basically everything I said about Hajime and Kaede, put it into one bowl with sugar, spice and everything nice, and you get Sora, from SDRA2. The only reason I haven’t done more with Sora in Survivor is because there’s never really been a convenient moment to make her a central character, but I do have big plans. First and foremost, Sora personality-wise has a similar trait to Hajime and Maya, in that she speaks her mind and doesn’t mince words, even if does come across as rude or insensitive. She’s stupid fun to play as because she has some of the most creative and hilarious roasts that any Danganronpa character has had ever (which by the way, was a major inspiration for Kuripa’s dialogue in Survivor). Secondly, she’s a very tough girl, who doesn’t give up easily, but still has the standard protagonist trait that she’s incredibly doubtful, and after waking up with amnesia, when more and more facts about her come to light, the toughness starts to crack, and her mental breakdowns are written so incredibly well, and work spectacularly for SDRA2′s narrative. Third, compared to every other protagonist, save Kaede, she’s put on the same level as every other character stuck in the Killing Game, and isn’t portrayed as more mature, or more emotionally strong than any of the others, most notably in Chapter 4 and what she does during THAT case, which if nothing else, makes her incredibly compelling, but it also was NOT a good, or justified thing to do. So even though she’s the protagonist, she is not written as “Oh, she’s the Ultimate Good Person” like literally all of the others are. Fourth, is it just me, or is Sora more proactive than any other Danganronpa protagonist? Makoto, Hajime, Komaru, Shuichi and all the others are focused solely on making sure they and their friends survive long enough until the opportunity to end the Killing Game arises, and yeah, Kaede does try to end it, but she did so in the most desperate and immature way possible. In comparison, Sora is almost constantly like “cut the bullshit and let’s ACTUALLY find a way to get off this island instead of walking about having get-together’s like a group of headless chickens” and yeah, SDRA2 DOES have those moments, but Sora is rarely ever on board with them initially, which I appreciate. My fifth point is in a similar situation to what I said about Kaede and Shuichi, and with Sora’s relationships with the other characters, most notably Yoruko and Yuki. They make a good group of characters, and it ties back into Sora’s hilarious personality, being blunt and savage, as she openly hits on Yoruko purely to get a silly reaction out of her. And much like Maya, Sora’s dialogue is endless entertainment in these moments. And to top it all off, she has one of the most bittersweet endings to any character in Danganronpa as a medium. Her death is what might have happened if DR2 ended the way it was supposed to, as opposed to Hajime and the others overcoming the effects of the reset and reverting back into Ultimate Despair, through the power of “Because we can.” If Hajime had actually been properly erased in DR2′s ending, that’s what you get with the final sacrifice Sora makes. The ending is just as bittersweet and sad as the ending to Spider-Man: No Way Home (I have triggered several people by saying that, I’m sure, but this is the defining example I have of a bittersweet ending to a movie or game). All in all, there is one thing that will stay clear. I have a lot of reservations and problems with SDRA2, from it’s writing and it’s cast, but I fucking LOVE Sora, now and forever.

NOW THAT WE HAVE THE FULL BODY DESIGNS!
i have some snazzy little opinions, so let’s just go down the line:
!!Really long post under cut!!
-Makoto is a basic bitch, always and forever, and we stan that -Taka looks like a Penguin and you cannot change my mind -Byakuya is just trying to look rich- -Mondo’s outfit is so extra i love it- he even added some probably temporary dye to his pompadour that was hard to see due to the lighting in the group pic -LEON! everyone was calling his fit ugly in the group pic and honestly i’m salty because he and i have the same sense of formal fashion. work it king! -Hifumi’s honestly suits him just fine, i was iffy when i saw it in the group pic but it doesn’t look too awful in full -Hiro..... buddy- i- i mean- what do i say??? it’s ugly as shit and really nice at the same time?? -Sayaka’s formal wear is a massive step up from the outfit she wears in her splash art- i never really liked that dress that much- even if it does have a cultural significance the design the picked felt cheap. But this one is really nice, and i dig it way more -Kirigiri looks pretty, it looked waaaay more purple in the group pic, but looking back the whole thing was over saturated for the lighting affects they did, so i shall forgive. she looks oddly nice in blue actually. -AOI LOOKS LIKE A BETA FISH AND I’M LIVING FOR IT! GO QUEEN!! -Toko’s dress looks way better in full than i expected, because so much of it was covered up i kinda didn’t like it all that much in the group pic, but i’m really digging it now -QUEEN SAKURA! BEAUTIFUL!! A DAMN SUNSET OF A DRESS!!! i love seeing her indulge in being a gorgeous queen despite people’s remarks on her physique -Celeste! also beautiful, but girl are you a vampire?? the layers on that dress- and that’s a massive veil- she’s gotta be overheating in that thing. -JUNKO! Fashionista know’s what’s up! it’s alot less gaudy than some of her casual outfits, but in a way that’s actually pretty good. i love the masquerade mask, it’s a nice touch -Chihiro....... Lucky Charms-
-Hajime’s outfit actually looks better in the group pic than here, i think it’s cause the yellow is more vibrant due to the saturation filter, so it stand out more -Nagito’s outfit is great honestly, i love how they put the shirt design on the sleeves, and i love the half-up hair, and the crooked bowtie- it’s great! -Twogami is a king, all he did was invert Byakua’s outfit and he just pulls it off so much better -Gundham’s is honestly underwhelming. This is Gundham Tanaka for fuck sake! Junko’s is more in character than this. where’s the drama sir???? -Kaz... buddy..... the colors look nice on your jumpsuit, but not an actual suit. I love the suspenders though -Teruteru’s outfit actually make him a bit cute. i’m about 80% sure the brown is suppose to be mud as to reference the fact that he’s characterized as a pig in more ways than one, but i’m choosing to call it a cola pattern ‘cause fuck you i’m going to be nice to him for once -Nekomaru’s suit is... it feels like a cursed amalgamation of a noir detective, a car sales men, a mobster, and a casino owner- and i just works so well on him -Fuyuhiko! i love it, fits him well, but the rolled up slacks are odd and kinda distracts me from the rest of the design- showing off some Bi pride there boss baby? -AKANE IS A DAMN QUEEN!! GOD PLEASE SHE COULD STRIKE ME DEAD IN THAT AND I’D THANK HER -Chiaki’s is simple, but it looks really nice on her -SONIA MY QUEEN! the oversaturation in the group pic did her dress dirty! i saw the blue originally and went “that isn’t her color”, but now seeing it without all the lighting crap she looks alot better.... and also a bit Elsa-ish -Hyoko’s in a lovely Kimono, but she’s always wearing pretty Kimonos, so it’s somewhat underwhelming compared to the rest -MAHIRU YOU SUMMER QUEEN! Mahiru has the best sense of fashion in the whole series imo, her wardrobe’s vibes make me so very happy. I grew up in a christian household (i’m not religious anymore btw) and use to be brought to services, and her dress gives me mad Easter Sunday Potluck nostalgia that i just can’t un-notice -Mikan looks too much like a hooker- i’m sorry, they really just went with the fan-service crap here and i don’t like it at all. Even if it wasn’t meant to be fan service, the dress looks tacky and has a shine on it that signifies it’s latex, so that’s just gotta be uncomfortable as hell- and for a clumsy character like her to try and survive a party in??? -IBUKI LOOKS LIKE FANCY RAVE COTTON CANDY!! THAT’S ALL!!! -Peko’s Kimono looks surprisingly nice on her, she wasn’t a character i’d assume to look good in a checker pattern but damn. i also appreciate how she still has the sword, bet- Fuyuhiko tired to convince her to leave it behind but failed
-Rantaro looks like a Used Car Salesmen. -KOKICHI MY BELOVED!!! i already voiced how much i adore his outfit when the group pic came out, so instead might i point out that he’s wearing high-water slacks and tall socks? it’s just as jarring as Fuyuhiko’s bi-slacks, but this is Kokichi so i feel like he did it on purpose. -Kiibo??? he dead ass changed his plating i-???? idk what i’m feeling towards it, but boy howdy am i feeling -GONTA!!! i love his suit, it’s out there in a good way, and i also love how he’s holding what looks like his casual coat. -Shuichi looks lovely in that suit, and i’ll never forgive everyone ever for saying he looked like a grandpa in it. It make him look a bit more Sherlock-esque and i love -3- -KORK IN A DRESS EVERYBODY MOVE!! i love how Androgynous his outfit is, both in gender and in time. like- is it feminine? masculine? modern? 1800′s england? who the fuck knows! -Ryoma looks good, but the fedora- who tf on the design staff decided to get cheeky?? eh- he’s vibing, doesn’t look too bad so long as you don’t hyperfixate on the pointy groin-stabber fedora -KAITO YOU SNAZZY GALAXY PATTERN SNORTING BASTARD! i swear he’s allergic to putting his right arm in it’s sleeve-. anywho, i love how even his dress jacket has a galaxy lining in it, i think it would have been funny if he was wearing galaxy dress shoes too but Maki would have chopped his dick off for that one -Kaede looks like her dress was inspired by one of those cinnamon peppermints- ya know the ones, they have the pink center and all that jazz? -Miu looks like she’s ready to hit up a casino in LA and honestly that’s such a good vibe! her skirt is a bit funky so it took me a hot sec to realize it was indeed a pencil skirt and not a fancy jumpsuit. -Tusmugi’s looks nice, i don’t have much else to say- kinda fitting considering her Plain Jane shtick -TENKO LOOKS LIKE SHE’S THIS CLOSE TO BREAKING OUT INTO A TAP DANCE AND I’M SO FUCKING HERE FOR IT!!! GO QUEEN!!!! -Kirumi is- well- i don’t go to Genshin Impact, but she looks like that one Genshin character, you know the one right? i think their name was a Starbucks drink size- they have a harp?? yeah -Maki’s dress is really pretty, it is a bit odd for her to wear that considering her character, but i can’t say she doesn’t rock it like the queen she is. -Himiko would be nicer without the transparent extra part- it make her looks like one of those half sphere popper things my friends terrorized me with in middle school. Other than that, you go you cute little magical girl you! -ANGIE OH MY FUCK!!! i love- i- dfj;adgad;jdgd!#2342nh;werkw??? i have no clue at this point what culture she’s suppose to be from, but that definitely looks like some traditional garb she’s got going on and holy crap is is pretty
Over all, i think the staff did a great job with this, i love a good lot of the outfits alot more than i though i would from the group pic. I do wish they would have added at least Komaru and Mukuro though- gimmy my queens yo!

Y’know what? Screw it. I’m gonna voice all my headcanons (and some opinions) (okay its mostly opinions) cause I don’t see why I should not be allowed to voice my own headcanons. Until Kodaka comes out and says that a headcanon is canon, then it is not canon. If you wish to harass me for my view on these characters then go ahead. I’ll just block you. I’m not going to respond to any hate comments (especially since I can guarantee that the majority of those people will be too scared to come out of anon) unless one is one I feel I should respond to.
That being said, if you wish for clarification (since I’m not giving out reasons here, just the headcanon or opinion) or wish to have a civil discussion, then I’m all down
-I’m just going to get the big headcanon out first that will get people even outside of the DR fandom angry at me: not every character is apart of the LGBT+ community (though tbh I don’t have an opinion on most of the casts possible sexualities so if I don’t say a sexuality for a character its because I don’t have a headcanon for their sexuality)
-Chihiro is not trans
-Toko x Byakuya is a disgusting ship
-Kyoko x Celeste is adorable
-Junko is the most boring villain to me (at least game wise. I’ve never watched the anime nor do I care to)
-Sakura x Aoi is adorable
-In au’s where the v3 cast is in the rest of the DR universe, Mukuro and Kokichi knew each other
-Makoto is the most boring protagonist (like seriously I always seem to forget his name) (Sorry Makoto I’m trying but just.) (Komaru)
-Hifumi fucking creeps me out and not in a good way like Korekiyo
-Hifumi is second worst character in the series
-Ishimaru is super boring to me
-Chihiro and Celeste are two best characters from this game
-Sayaka is bi
-Hajime is Second Best Protagonist
-I wish we saw more Izuru in game and if I ever watch any of the DR anime it’d be to see more of him
-Chiaki is just kind of... boring to me?
-Chiaki x Sonia is fucking adorable
-Speaking of Chiaki and Sonia, I can see those two having a lot of fun interactions (hell I may at some point make a fic where its just Sonia dragging Chiaki out to do Normal People Stuff)
-Gundam x Sonia is also freaking adorable to me
-I just... don’t like Hiyoko
-Mahiru is the mother of the group
-Nagito is gay
-Fuyuhiko deserved to live more than Hiyoko
-I don’t understand Gundam’s motivation for his trial
-Komaru is Best Protagonist (and second best character in the whole series)
-Komaru is bi
-Tokomaru is fucking great
-Hiji Towa is worst character
-Toko sucks in DR1 but is the second best character in UDG
-Monaca is the best villain in the series
-UDG is the best game in the series
-This isn’t an opinion or a headcanon, but... So UDG was really my first exposure to DR and I was watching my sister play this game and when Nagito first showed up I was all like “Well this dude is into some serious BDSM”
-The best characters are Sonia, Hinata, Nagito, Gundam, and Fuyuhiko
-I have a lot of opinions on Kokichi so I’m going to put them all in one place
-Kokichi is Best Character in the Whole Series
-Oumota is great
-Saiouma is just... boring
-Kokichi is bi
-Kokichi and Miu would be great friends
-So would Kokichi and Angie’
-Kokichi is not a pure cinnamon roll that needs to be protected. He did fucked up shit and you should not act like it isn’t his fault
-But you should also not act like he is the anti-christ
-Kokichi’s talent is in leading not in lying or in like luck (though I am all for lucky!Kokichi)
--Saioumota is not very interesting
-Oumamomatsu is more interesting
-Kokichi is Gryffindor and you will have to pry this headcanon from my cold dead hands
-Kokichi is a Nintendo fanboy
-More specifically, Kokichi is the biggest fucking Pokemon fan and you’ll also have to pry this headcanon from my cold dead hands
-Kokichi, Kaede, and Rantaro should have formed a trio
-Kokichi grew up in the same orphanage is Maki and this is another one you’ll have to pry from my cold dead hands
-I don’t like Kokichi’s skeleton beta
-Shuichi is boring
-No surprise but I’m also on the Kaede Should Have Been The Protagonist bandwagon
-Rantaro is straight
-Rantaro should have survived longer
-Angie would have had an interesting development if she survived chapter 3
-Angie should have survived instead of Himiko
-Angie is aro/ace
-Tenko x Himiko would be better if they talked about how creepy Tenko was to Himiko
-Tenko is either aro or gay
-Gonta x Ryoma is a ship I don’t get
-Kaede x Rantaro is great
-Kaede x Shuichi is boring
-Kaede is bi
-Miu is fucking great
-And fun to write
-Kaito is bi
-Kaito is the biggest fucking Disney fan ever
-Maki is a fucking horrible character
-And her design is the most boring design EVER
-They should have went with her beta design with the cloak
-Kiibo is not an innocent cinnamon roll that needs to be protected at all times
-It would have been interesting if Shuichi died and/or committed a murder
-V3 takes place in a vr and you’ll have to pry this from my cold dead hands
-Kaito was poisoned in game
-DR1 has the best female caste
-DR2 has the best story
-V3 has the best cast
-DR2 is the best game in main series
-Strangely enough though, despite all its problems, V3 is my favorite game out of the main series
#Danganronpa#drv3#dr1#sdr2#unpopular opinion#opinion#spoilers#probably#not going to tag characters cause that is a shit ton of characters#And I don't want to spam the character tabs

Reunion Konkata
Pairings: Established Kondo/HijikataRating: MSummary: The best part of traveling for business is coming home. Modern AU. [AO3] Thank you to @hakuyamazakisensei for the initial beta~
.*Terms of Endearment*.
“Getting to travel for work! How lucky!”
Bullet train, local train, and then the pointed taps of a brisk gait—of freshly shined shoes hurrying over pavement scorched by late afternoon sun. The stale July air was anything but suit and tie weather, and perhaps slowing down would have been prudent to benefit his comfort…however, a little extra sweat was worth it if it made Kondo’s arrival any sooner.
Despite his already heightened efforts, the anticipation brimming within him could barely contain itself as it was, and nothing short of a full-on sprint would satisfy the pressing urge to move faster and faster yet. Or, as fast as his bulky shoulder bag would permit him, in any case.
“Seeing so many different places, meeting so many different people. Do you know how great that is?”
Desire and need, necessity to throw his arms around the most valuable treasure and hold tight…to feel himself held back and clung to just as ardently after all this time… These were the impulses that drove him, were what had Kondo Isami pounding the sidewalk hard while decked head to toe in professional attire.
A briefcase rocked in the grip of his left hand and keys already drawn from a breast pocket clamored in his right, all as he laser focused on powering his way through the oppressive swelter. It didn’t matter how ridiculous he looked to anyone else dressed appropriately down and drifting lazily about their Saturday with uchiwa¹ and cool packs. Kondo had long been past giving thought to the generic critical gaze of society, especially when there were more pressing matters vying for his attention.
“Oh, and eating all kinds of new things, too. Psht, how nice it must be.”
He was thirty years old, after all—thirty and already entitled fourth successor of the Tennen Rishin-Ryu. Thirty and leader of a fighting style he could now call his own, one that had erred on the edge of struggle but began flourishing anew after transfer to his name. It was because he was thirty and trekking all over the country to aggressively spread renown, to secure its position and vitality for the next heir and hopefully even the one after.
Indeed, Kondo was only thirty and yet felt he’d traveled enough to satisfy the rest of his life at this point, if he had any say in the matter. Alas, none he had, as it was crucial to answer that beckon of responsibility which ensured the livelihood he’d made for not just himself. It was no longer about only his future but theirs, and there could be no greater duty to fulfill than safeguarding that.
…Even if it meant frequent trips and cold hotel beds and meals eaten with those of a much lesser quality of company.
“I wish I could just take off like that…”
So, frequent travel it was. Of course, he dreaded it—dreaded that last hug and the small kiss which always followed. Dreaded the be carefuls and see you soons. But for every difficult parting, there was a return that much sweeter awaiting him. Absence only put in perspective what he was missing when he went without, and made him infinitely appreciate what he had when it was back in his clutches.
It was sensible, therefore, to rush even under such uncomfortable conditions—quirked eyebrows and pensive stares be damned. For the sooner Kondo’s arrival, the sooner he could embrace everything that mattered most, and hold it like he’d never have to let it go again.
“…get away from my family without any questions asked…”
At last, Kondo veered about a corner, the soles of his shoes skidding along concrete as he came face-to-face with the sight for which he’d so vehemently yearned: Makoto Heights. Sleek and minimalist, the apartment building stood ten stories high with an entryway of heavy charcoal double doors embellished by diamond-shaped windows. There was no time to spare for appreciating pleasant architectural design choices, however; he bounded through the entrance with reckless abandon, heaving heavy breaths into his lungs while punching in his entry code and sending the automatic door sliding aside.
“…have my own adventures without all the annoyance and hassle…“
Naturally, the elevator was parked at the top floor. Kondo jabbed the call button, the keys in his hand jingling with restlessness while his heart pounded its ribbed prison. Shoulders rose and fell. His foot began to tap.
“…do whatever, or heh, whoever I want, y’know? No consequences.”
Just standing around, even for a few seconds, was a challenge. He dabbed at the beaded moisture on his forehead and then glanced at his watch. It had all turned insufferable by now: the need for patience he didn’t have, the rise in sheer excitement, and oh, the exhaustive heat made so much worse in this enclosed space with no moving air.
Still panting, Kondo flicked the tip of his nose and his focus shot to the staircase in temptation. Just as he started considering if a marathon climb would be quicker, the pleasant chime rang out with the elevator’s arrival: an invitation he eagerly accepted.
His pointer finger depressed the fourth floor button—and thrice thereafter for good measure. And when the doors closed in again and Kondo’s reflection came into view, he was rudely reminded of what unfortunate consequences racing around on foot this time of the year could have on one’s appearance.
The neat look he’d fixed this morning had gone rogue in some places, disheveled locks betraying the commanding rule of all that meticulously applied styling wax. Kondo lifted his chin and gave his head a shake, then quickly ran fingers over his hair to fix what he could. Surely, he’d looked better, when his face wasn’t red from exertion and his appearance not unkempt from an impromptu workout.
But it had all been worth it.
Because it was never about sight-seeing or meeting new people…
The chime rang, the doors split. With his heart beginning to hammer again, Kondo nearly tripped over his own feet while making for the left, toward the numbers 401 written in dainty silver font.
…It’d never been about trying new dishes or having so-called freedom he didn’t even want in the first place…
Key into the keyhole, a fast turn, and once the door was sent flying open, Kondo’s breath caught in his throat.
Natural light permeated gleaming floor-to-ceiling windows, flooded the inner spaces with an ethereal softness that left everything within glowing and glinting and warm. And there, in the middle of it all—Hijikata! Stupefied and rendered frozen, he stood with a clipped manuscript in hand and wide eyes fixed toward the entrance.
“…Kat-chan?!” The exclamation was breathless as the stack of papers he’d been narrating from fell limp, curling over backward from the top edge.
“Toshi!”
Luggage crashed to dark floorboards just beyond the genkan² and the keyring flew haphazardly atop the slipper nook, while Kondo’s legs nearly entangled from the haste with which he stumbled out of his shoes. Etiquette and conventionality meant nothing up against the urgency of needing purchase—to finally, finally pull Hijikata into his long bereft embrace and feel him, smell him, hold him.
Pages of writing fluttered free through the air, cast off as though they were meaningless, as Kondo sprang over the threshold with his hands held out. Their bodies collided and his arms snapped tightly around Hijikata, hauling him forward and squeezing as tightly as permitted without causing pain.
Kondo took fistfuls of shirt, clenching the material while feeling himself enveloped in turn with mirroring strength, then nosed his way into sleek black hair to inhale. The scent he loved most inundated him so that his knees nearly gave way, overwhelmed by waves of satisfaction and gratitude and relief battering him and making him cling even further.
“Kat-chan.” His name was muffled into his suit jacket, and though it’d been spoken in that ever soft and baritone voice so distinctly Hijikata, Kondo felt the unadulterated emotion it rode out on thrumming along the fabric of his soul.
Distantly, he became aware that he might have been holding with too much strength. Kondo clenched the shirt once more before releasing it and relocating his grasp to smaller shoulders, pushing back just enough to free up space for their lips to crash together.
The instant of connection was demanding and insistent, fueled by the racing of Kondo’s pulse and every ounce of insufferable buildup burning this perfect moment into the depths of his memory. Palms rose to cradle Hijikata’s cheeks, thumbs pressing gently beneath closed eyes as their mouths broke contact and immediately met again, over and over in a dizzying torrent of desire and exhilaration–until Kondo’s lungs starved and he was forced to breathe.
He gasped upon drawing back, his forehead immediately pushing unto Hijikata’s as he was unwilling to forfeit such closeness, while fingertips flexed and intertwined with locks of chin-length hair.
Hijikata’s exhalations fell with matching intensity and his hands rose to clamp onto Kondo’s forearms. “Wow.” He huffed through a gentle smile. “Welcome home.”
Kondo laughed once, just as softly and with a twinge of mortification for his lacking in self control. “…I’m home.”
The corners of Hijikata’s lips pulled a little further outward into his cheeks, his eyes managing to grow even more tender. “And early at that.”
Letting his lashes fall, Kondo nodded and couldn’t prevent his own grin from widening as well. “I, uh.” He chuckled. “I skipped out a little prematurely.”
A snort. “I’m sure Ito-sensei was thrilled.”
“He’ll get over it.”
Hijikata returned the next kiss bestowed upon him, shorter and more disciplined this time—and with eyes remaining open. When their mouths parted, his brow suddenly furrowed then and he pulled back with a squint. “Wait. Did—did you run here?”
Heat of a different kind flashed across Kondo’s face and his eyes shifted to the left before finding Hijikata’s again. “…Maybe.”
“Kat-chan! It’s the hottest day of the year yet!” Hijikata released Kondo’s arms, his nimble digits set to unfastening the suit jacket and shoving it off his shoulders. The escape of pent up heat felt heavenly as Kondo shook himself free, not particularly caring where the garment ended up while he began loosening his tie. “No wonder you’re all flushed.”
“And here I was thinking that was your fault.”
“Taku³…” Ah, the sound of vexation laced with fondness—so typically Hijikata and how Kondo loved it. Through rims of dark lashes, he peered at him with adoration, which resulted in an epiphany of his own.
“Speaking of clothing…” Kondo pressed his fingertips to the light blue shirt Hijikata wore and took hold of the unbuttoned edges; he ran his hands down each side, then pulled gently at the bottom hem. “This isn’t yours, Toshi-san.”
Blush threatened to creep across Hijikata’s cheeks. His brows pulled in and he tossed his face aside. “It was…convenient.”
“Ahuh.” Exhaling through his nose, Kondo’s brows raised with a knowing smirk. “It looks good on you, even if it’s a little big.”
“…Well, there’s no use standing around at the door,” Hijikata declared in an airy tone, and Kondo had to bite his lip to not laugh—or abuse his power of so easily flustering a generally unflustered man. Reaching for Kondo’s fingers and entwining them with his own, Hijikata gave a squeeze before releasing them and stepping off to the side.
He heaved the shoulder bag up, swatting at Kondo when he tried to take it, and then set off across the apartment. “I wish you would’ve told me you were coming in early, though. I wanted to meet you at the station.”
Kondo followed in his footsteps, stopping short in the living space as Hijikata disappeared through an open door across the way. “Not feeling the element of surprise, Toshi?” It was a jovial inquiry, posed as he began collecting the papers that had been scattered over the floor. “I knew you’d be busy with writing so—”
Hijikata scoffed from the bedroom and called out, “Please.”
Shuffling through the pages, Kondo’s eyes lifted as Hijikata reemerged. “How’s it going? Progress, or…?”
“Heh. How’s it going?” Hijikata reiterated over a breath. One corner of his mouth pulled upward in discontent and reaching for the stack, he rifled a thumb through it. “It’s not.”
“Ah.” Kondo slouched his shoulders. “Writing is hard.”
“At this rate, this novel is never getting done.” With an aloof shrug, Hijikata clipped the manuscript back together, despite still being out of order, and let it flop on the glass coffee table. His palm rose to press to his forehead and then stroked back through his hair. “Yet another WIP on the pile, I guess.”
Kondo’s lips pursed in a sympathetic pout and he closed the space between them, extending a hand to stroke along Hijikata’s cheek and then pulling him into another embrace. “Ne…” he exhaled, his lips close to an ear. “How about this? I’m gonna shower and then cook dinner for you. And you can tell me all about what you’re stuck on.”
Hijikata’s spine straightened and he lifted his eyes to find Kondo’s. “How the hell is that fair?” he protested, his voice managing to sound both soft and agitated at once. “You were traveling all day. Why should you have to cook?”
Letting his lashes fall for a beat, Kondo shook his head as a tiny grin twitched at his lips. “Toshi-san, you misunderstand.” He gave a squeeze to his hips. “It’s not a matter of having to but wanting to.”
Hijikata’s brows pulled inward, studying Kondo in minor vexation…and at last, he relented with a nod. “Fine. As long as I help, then.”
“Deal.”
A beat. “And shower with you.”
Kondo lifted his chin, openly wearing his interest. “I’m liking these terms. Anything else?”
“Cht.” Knuckles hit softly against Kondo’s chest and Hijikata groused, “Shut up.” Their lips met in one more brief kiss as fingers entwined yet again, and hand-in-hand, they made a beeline for the shower room.
And though Kondo was fully present in the present itself, his mind revisited that conversation from last night, if only for a moment.
“It’s just that my dojo is so busy that sensei never allows me to leave for long. I’m stuck in one place forever,” Katsura had said at the networking dinner, red-faced and with sake cup raised. “Yes. You guys who get to traipse around in the name of business…” His eyes had drifted to Kondo and Saigo, to Ito and Sakamoto. “You really have all the luck.”
While Kondo undid the intricacies of Hijikata’s attire…while Hijikata undid the intricacies of his own, he had to acknowledge just indeed how lucky he was—not because of the reasons Katsura had cited, but because he could always come home to this.
“You’re smiling, Kondo-san,” Hijikata noted without lifting his gaze from the line of shirt buttons he made quick work of undoing.
And that…well, that only made Kondo smile even more.
// Thanks so much for reading! This story will have multiple parts. :D
¹ uchiwa: A traditional fan that doesn’t fold, and an essential item in the hell known as Japanese summer
² genkan: The recessed part of the entryway where one removes their shoes before entering a home or some businesses
³ taku: Shortened from mataku. Used to express annoyance
Also, I modified the picture used for this piece by putting a wedding ring on Toshi. lol

Sakura Futaba (For that detailed character meme)
A more detailed character meme! Send me a character and I’ll answer… | ACCEPTING
What I like about them
When it comes to Futaba, I like a lot of things when it comes to her character. From her wearing glasses to her role as a Phantom Thief - I love her original codename, Navi. I really like some of her confidant and Ultimate Persona, as well. We are also somewhat similar with our sarcasm and such, to keep that short :D
What I dislike about them
Most of her confidant, the undertones before the rank 9 romance option even happens…. are not my cup of tea. The head patting, for example, could have been saved for that rank 9 scene if you chose to romance her (I just didn’t really see anything ‘platonic’ there but I digress). I’m also very sad that her beta/concept design was scrapped, she looked pretty awesome, tbh. At least the art book showed them, that makes me happy ^^
Favourite moment
Hmmm, Futaba had some neat moments overall - and I’m not sure that these count - but I like the lines she says during battle, specifically against Shido and the final boss. For an actual moment, I guess it would have to be when she and Makoto scared each other after the Phantom Thieves went to look for her in the Sakura’s home.
Least favourite moment
I think everyone knows what my least favorite moments with Futaba would be - from the main game, at least - so I will talk about P5D, instead. Slight spoilers ahead if you are avoiding them. Despite what she says in the main game, I really don’t like her involvement in the Last Surprise music video - she’s 15 and was never officially a high school student (to my knowledge) so… it’s just meh, to me? She’s just starting to appear in the anime so I have no favorite or least favorite moments with her there, yet XD
A situation with this character that I want to see explored more
Probably her initial awakening - I understand why it was the way it was (P4-style and all) but I would have loved to see her calmly rip off her mask - somehow? - and awaken in the same way the rest of them (assuming with Goro, since we didn’t get to see his initial awakening at any point) did. It would have been so badass but oh well :/
An interesting AU for this character
Fool/Protagonist!Futaba was always a personal favorite of mine. I also like the AU where she and Goro are half-siblings. And anything with Kosei!Futaba is also amazing ^^
A crossover
Her talking with Fuuka or Rise. Possibly characters like Ken and Yukari too since they would understand how she felt after losing her mother. To keep this short XD
OTP (or OT3+ etc…. just… favourite ship)
None, used to be yutaba but I don’t have one anymore.
Other ships?
None.
BROTP
Futaba and Ren, to probably no one’s surprise. They compliment each other well! I generally love her with the other Phantom Thieves, so I have a lot of BROTPs when it comes to Futaba ^_^
NOTP
shutaba, aketaba etc.
An assortment of headcanons!
Futaba adores peach juice, pasta and pizza (but not with olives)
While she was still living with her mother, she used to own two pets - a dog and a parrot. Both of whom she personally named and loved dearly. She would also spend time with them when her mother was too busy with work.
She dislikes harsh sunlight and warm weather, preferring Fall/Autumn and Winter.
Futaba has a nickname for everyone she knows and cares about - from her childhood pets to the Phantom Thieves. She takes to using Ryuji’s nickname for Ren (RenRen) nearly right away, thinking it fits him to the T.
Her mother is the reason why she began to show interest in Neo Featherman/Featherman, having brought her first manga and figurine. For a while after Wakaba’s death, Futaba couldn’t look at her figurines and other Featherman stuff without being reminded of her mother - following a short while after the protagonist’s arrival and living arrangements in Leblanc, she brought them out of the box in which she put them away and then placed them on her shelf. Futaba isn’t too sure on why she did that at first but Sojiro saw it as a good sign, especially once she started to get better starting in August.

Hey, I found Beta design of Saihara on from Tumblr and the link! He look like a Makoto Naegi lots by his face and hairstyle (little like nagito komaeda). I'm so glad the teams went with Saihara's final design, as that fact he's different! I love his clothes and hair styles
I have seen the images as well XXD
The final design of Saihara suddenly looks so neat and feminine compared to his Naegi like beta designs. His hat and lashes are in pretty much all of his iterations lol. Its interesting that Saihara was gonna have lighter hair before…
