this is a concept that literally will never happen (and only appeals to me) but for a while i’ve been thinking of a myst x sky cotl collab season called season of ages!!! above are a few concept designs for cosmetics can you tell exile is my favorite game in the series

SO its a very loose concept with very scattered ideas so far (and if you are both a sky and myst enjoyer PLEASE feel free to add ideas and also be my friend?????) and im sadly not super well versed in myst lore so this is going to be VERY surface level

a VERY basic concept of the season would be collecting pages across the realms to restore linking books, but this feels kinda boring. i’m also not sure how the spirits would relate to the myst characters, if there even would be spirits? and should each realm have a new area in it that resembles an age in one of the games that gradually get unlocked as the player completes quests? i have no idea!!! idk about yall but i would LOVE to fly around myst island

i know for sure that an ultimate gift/iap cosmetic would be a linking book. what i’m undecided on is if the player would just get one book that would allow them to link to a chosen area (it would be a wearable cosmetic, kinda like the art book), or would completing the season unlock a special place in vault of knowledge that gives the player access to multiple linking books? if it were an iap cosmetic (like all collab seasons have), it could be a linking book to a room of linking books? idk

i really want to be able to pay homage to all of the myst games by incorporating at least one element from each game (ie a whole age, an object in an age, a cosmetic that resembles something a character wears, etc etc). i also really want there to still be a puzzle element , but like. super easy puzzles. people play sky to chill, not be frustrated hdkshsskkh

A springlock animatronic is an animatronic mascot that doubles as both an automatic robot and a wearable costume! The animatronic is able to do this through multiple springlocks throughout the suit, which pull back the multiple pieces of metal and plastic endoskeleton that make the mascot function in its "animatronic mode." To pull back the endoskeleton, you'd need to use a company specialized crank that pulls back the springs, locking them in place, making the mascot a wearable suit, or in other words, putting the mascot in "suit mode!" The springs are very sensitive, and can be unlocked through a slight amount of pressure or moisture, which can lead to a springlock failure. A springlock failure is an incident in which the animatronic parts collapse into whoever is wearing the suit (you!), which can lead to the vocal cords crushing, causing you to drown on your own blood as their other organs collapse! You'll be dying for a long time, most likely until you fully bleed out! Thankfully, there is a way to survive! Do not panic when an incident occurs, and wait for a fellow employee to remove the suit! From there you'll be rushed to the nearest hospital, and all that will remain will be small scars! If nobody is able to save you, then the company will have to bleach the floors and file a missing persons report, which can take up to 90 days! Stay safe when dealing with springlocks, and remember: you're the face of Freddy Fazbear's Pizza!

Engineer Building Concept: the Mini Dispenser

As a Battle Engineer, I do understand the importance of a normal dispenser, seeing as it's good to at least have something to support your teleporters or defense when you're out there Gun-slanging that thang. However, it's often quite annoying trying to keep up with your team when you have to manage a dispenser, and I play Battle Engineer to explicitly not have to deal with hauling a level 3 sentry around the map. So, why do the same for the Dispenser?

Hopefully tied to a PDA unlock, but most likely tied to the Gunslinger if the (0) TF2 developers read this, the Mini Dispenser is a wearable backpack that replaces your normal dispenser! Simply build it and pick it up to wear it. However, this comes at the cost of movement speed and its metal output.

Stats

This mostly shares the stats of the Level 1 Dispenser. It heals 10 HP and 5% Cloak/sec. However, it only has 100 HP and restores 20 Metal/10% ammo per munitions unit instead of the usual 40 Metal/20% ammo in order to make it worse for turtling, spamming minis, or making widows if you know what I sayin'. You're also 10% slower while wearing it, as you are technically carrying a building.

Construction

Compared to the Dispenser, the Mini Dispenser takes the same amount of time to build and costs the same amount of Metal. However, it redeploys twice as fast and cannot be upgraded. After building it, you simply just have to pick it up to wear it. If you'd like to place it back down, you just need to attempt to build it again, and then you can place it down as if you were carrying it normally. It never actually leaves your back until you place it. While placed, it still retains the range of a normal dispenser.

Destruction

The Mini Dispenser is a lot easier to destroy, given that it has less health than a normal dispenser. Wearing it into battle doesn't help much either, as it is able to take splash damage or even tank direct hits on your behalf. If the Engineer dies, the Dispenser also dies regardless of health. If it is destroyed while the Engineer attempts to redeploy it, the process is interrupted and the Engineer is switched back to their previous weapon. Finally, you cannot destroy it while wearing it using destruction commands.

Interactions

When removed from your back by any means, it takes you 1 second to return to your original speed

While using the Rescue Ranger, you are not marked for death unless you're carrying another building

Movement speed reductions while carrying buildings are additive, making you lose 20% of your speed while hauling a building and wearing the backpack

Friendly engineers can still repair it while it's on your back

Can block a backstab from a spy, but it does not stun them and gets destroyed instantly. Spies can quickly follow up with another stab.

On Kill/On Hit effects don't apply to the dispenser while worn because it is still a building

Pyros using the Back Burner can't crit you, but they will crit the dispenser and can still hit you

The Rescue Ranger's ability to pick up buildings from long distances also allows you to instantly equip the back pack

All of the costumes in the game are only unlock through cheat codes you find on GameFAQs or cheat code books.

Plankton's the only character to have 2 different costumes to wear in one level, has the most costumes coming from one episode (Plankton's Army), has a scrapped Gangster costume hidden in the game's files in all console versions, & has no costume in Hypnotic Highway.

Punk SpongeBob & Safari Patrick are the only outfits not originated from the show. Miss opportunity to have Astronaut Patrick from Sandy's Rocket wearable in Rocket Rodeo.

There are 4 costumes from Season 1, 2 costumes from Season 2, & 3 (4 if you're counting the scrapped Gangster costume) costumes from Season 3. Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy III & Plankton's Army are the only episodes with the most costumes appearing in the game.

Skeleton SpongeBob has the most unique anvil model (A gravestone that says, R.I.P. Sponge).

This post documents the fully filled-in information on Kotone Montagne gained through progressing her Confidant! It contains things that could be considered spoilers for her Confidant, as part of the information is a summary of its story.

Kotone is available in the evenings most days, when it isn’t rainy. Her Confidant is tied to the Proficiency social stat, and level 17 Proficiency is required to fully complete it.

Note that Kotone's Confidant takes place after Tomoko's Confidant, though the game will let you start it before completing Tomoko's Confidant.

I'm often told that I'm too easily swayed and hurt by the words of others... What should I do...

Right now, the thing I'm most lacking in is expression. For the sake of winning my next competition, I have to learn everything I can, and master it.

I've been figure skating since I was little. My training is very strict, but when I think about seeing all my efforts come to fruition in the end, I don't feel tired at all.

Whenever I hit a setback, you're always there for me. If I imagine what it'd be like without you, I feel fear from the bottom of my heart. I'm really lucky to have met you.

The people who see my performances often feel something, and sometimes they'll tell me how they felt. This has always made me happy to hear, ever since I started figure skating, but until recently I haven't been able to express that happiness in words.

The skating rink is a huge mirror. A merciless mirror, that reflects the true skill of the athletes atop it. That's why effort is indispensable, if I want to like the me in the mirror.

We all know "game development is hard" and it's not necessarily the dev team intentionally half-arsing everything all the time, but I can't with the toxic positivity and the condescending defense and excuses made on behalf of this multi-billion dollar company.

I don't understand when or how (I do) "we" became so apathetic and defensive of our own exploitation. It's been too many years of bad actors poisoning the general perception of "people who criticize", and too many years of the "haves" convincing the "have nots" that it ain't them, nah, "it's the have nots criticizing them that's the real problem!"

I digress.

I have a BGC Mobility Assistance planned that uses some really nice custom content occult skin details and the Ghost walk style. The damned broken "automatic outfit switching" A.K.A. "the underwear bug" kinda dampened my excitement for making it, because whatever EAxis broke with that in Update 10/22/2024, randomly breaks the internal code that forces the removal of the M.A.P. when bathing, sleeping or swimming - but it's coming.

I'm inching closer to the end of my Wearables™ overhaul and getting back to my other projects.
