On March 18, 2024, Wayne Simmonds announced his retirement from the National Hockey League. On April 13, 2024, he will sign a one-day contract with the Philadelphia Flyers, making him a Broad Street Bully for the rest of his life.

after that nomination there was a flurry of bunts-featured media in his second/last season w the leafs (22-23), finally a real appreciation for him, getting to do the fashion shoots kinda interviews his lineys auston and mitchy got to do.

truly if kyle had not been fired, he would've re-signed bunts immediately. so ofc here we are in pittsburgh now :)) i don't think mikey regrets having to leave the leafs. he's finally getting his bag as well as respect for his play
