I have a specific hatred of water beads. When my baby brother was born I told my mom that we would NEVER EVER have water beads in the house. They should not be used as a sensory toy because they ARE NOT SAFE.

Ingesting just one bead can seriously harm a child.

They may seem fun and trendy but kids are stupid and will put anything in their mouths. Don't give them this option.

what do you even do outdoors?

I don't get how people can say: 'what do you even do outdoors? In a forest. It's so boring.'

excuse you. what are YOU doing outdoors?! In a forest.

I see the light through the leaves and the tiny waterbeads on blades of grass and birds doing their thing and bugs walking like they're wearing hiking boots and aaaaalll the colors and stuff. And I smell every pinecone and mud and greenery and LIFE. And I hear a million different birdsongs, conversations I just don't quite get, but I kind of get, and the prickling sound of ants on forest floor and the wind in the trees. And I touch every tree I pass, greeting them like a friend, and caress soft spongy moss and freak out because it brings me so much joy and I pick up acorns or stones or just a pretty leaf.

And I feel.....SO MUCH. Sometimes I ball my eyes out because it's too much. Everything about nature feels natural to me. 🍃

Ooh yes... maybe the tiny even fills themselves with the dry water beads because they think they're dippin dots or something similar! But then their tummy doesn't feel so good, and they don't seem to be melting inside of them... instead they feel like a beanbag, and tremendously heavy. Little do they know that when they get a drink their belly is going to start expanding, and expanding, and expanding, the consistency of the beads steadily moving from grains of sand to a jelly.

The tiny begs their keeper to get the beads out of them, but the keeper laughs and tells them that this is their punishment for being so greedy, and that they'll just have to have their tummy like that for the rest of all time given that the waterbeads aren't digestible. Owner probably makes good use of it, squeezing and squishing the poor little thing's flushed tum as he tries to squirm away, tears streaming down his cheeks both with pain and with the knowledge that this is how he'll have to live out the rest of his days...
