Kya is the steambaby who usually appears in these Fire Noodle comics, but she is much too well behaved to sneak out of her crib during naptime and pull Druk into a quest for sweets. So instead, surprise appearance of Zuko and Katara's third and youngest child, Akira "Kira"!

I'm so obsessed with the current ATLA comics artsyle. Everyone looks SO GOOD. I love how handsome and perfect Aang, esp that he's 16 in the comics. I love how cute and badass Toph is. I love the rigid shapes on Sokka that show his masculine personality, but still combined with his smug expressions. I love the texture of Katara's hair. I LOVE how BEAUTIFUL Azula, Zuko, and Ursa are and how they all kind of have the same face. I love how Azula looks in her comic so much, I can't describe why, but she just looks so good. Iroh looks the same tbh, he's just chilling. AND SUKI LOOKS SO MASC HERE!!

I got everything I needed from that finale:

Wille finally made his choice and freed himself

Simon had the chance to walk away but chose to come back

Sara did some proper reflection on what matters and earned her forgiveness

Felice ditched those awful friends

August got what he always thought he wanted just as he realized it will make his life miserable

We all got a good ugly cry AND a happy ending

10/10 absolutely will watch the whole series again

Zutara Week Day 5: Respite

These were actually meant to be part of a larger piece for the day 1 theme "Home", but... art was refusing to art (I have so many sketches and half finished pieces I started for ZK Week, but things were just not working). So instead, we'll use there peaceful family moments in the South Pole for "respite"!

Kya pops up the most in my art, but Kallik makes an appearance here! He's Zuko and Katara's second child, and only son.

When the organization turns against them and they're forced to flee, going into witness protection, they take on new names and identities and move into a suburban town. The first day there, their new neighbors introduce themselves as Hakoda, Kya, Katara and Sokka.
