What a crazy weekend its been, what with Doc having been practically kidnapped by a strange foreigner and whisked away. Thankfully, he was back but...they didn’t get to celebrate Valentine’s Day together. She wanted to make him a nice dinner with just the two of them and maybe cuddle up for some movies, but they never got the chance.

Time to make up for it....

Syphoria had cooked a dinner, made a few of Doc’s favorite things, and had everything set, and now....just to find her fiance. What exactly did that foreigner want with him anyway?

“Sweetheart, are you busy?”

"Hope f'r th' best, expect th' worst. Make th' most o' th' middle ground." Doc nods at Cayden's assessment, then gently shoves the Knight on question. "Get some rest you fool. Won't get anything done on no sleep and no rest." At which point Cayden only nods and continues to sip at his tea. He would very much not like to get put in the captain's quarters again for a while.

She nods in agreement, sitting herself down after making herself a cup of tea once more. Least she was relieved to see Cayden enjoy the cup she gave him.

“He’s right. Go and get some rest.” Her eyes still lingered on the wilting flower though, concern growing on her features. Just what kind of thing will happen if the flower dies? Part of her didn’t want to find out.

“I don’t stress adopt!”

Okay...maybe she does sometimes. But she actually thought this one through before she went with it! Besides, there were moments that she couldn’t say no to little ones like her.

Still makes Syph pout a little bit.

“Besides, she’s going to be the last one for a while anyway. I’ve always wanted to raise a Happiny but, never got the chance to. When she grows up and evolves, she’ll be able to help us out around the Daycare. Chanseys and Blisseys are great helpers.”

What was Syphoria to do?

She clearly was still worried about her fiance and felt helpless to the endless nightmares he keeps having every night, even if he kept saying it was his own fault. Would she really think less of him, should he tell her about it? She loved him dearly and all this worrying was making her feel a little ill. They had so much to deal with right now. Why this? Why now?

But what could she do? She doesn’t have extraordinary powers like others, or powerful magic. She’s just a human, who barely could keep a grasp of the magic that she had now. She can’t just ignore what was plaguing him.

What was she to do?

“I wonder where Doc is taking me for dinner tonight. He did mention a reservation to a place close by. Hmmm...”

“Maybe I’ll wear this cute dress.”

“Welp, time for us to head to the airport and venture off to the Orange Islands. Got a long flight but, it’ll be so worth it.”

“Vul vulpix!”

“Oh! It’s almost time for our little family to go on our vacation to the Orange Islands.”

“I can’t wait!”

Oh wait he was supposed to ask to pet service animals. "Lo siento, señora." He takes his hand back out of a bit of guilt. When Doc picks up his phone, he sounds like he just woke up. "[Yeees? What's up?]" Prince yips in the background.            

Wait, why did he pull....oh, that’s right. Pixie still had her collar on, indicating she was a service Pokemon. Least she didn’t have to translate that.

“Yeah, its okay, you can pet her. She doesn’t mind.”

Thank goodness her boyfriend picked up the phone. This was going to be fun to explain.

“Hey sweetie, uhhh...do you know Spanish? You see, Pixie and I found Fleur here, out in a field of flowers, and all he’s saying is....Spanish. I’m not familiar with the language so..help please?”

[Doc] There's a heart shaped box on the table along with a note in clear navy blue ink. 'Sweetie, I don't understand this holiday but I hope you enjoy this.' Inside are indeed chocolates, but going left to right it reads 'my dear symphony' in the katakana outlines on white chocolate coverings.

Syph wasn’t sure what to expect today for Valentines Day, knowing that Doc didn’t really grasp the kind of traditions she grew up with, or other humans. But finding the box on the table, she took the note into her hands to read it, placing it against her chest before opening the box.

Inside, was indeed chocolates, but the icing on the cake was the katakana outlines made out of white chocolate upon the chocolates, making it that much more special for her. Oh how she loved this man, and her heart and SOUL was all a flutter from it.

Is she going to scurry off to hug and kiss him to bits? Yes she is, all the smooches and hugs.

“Looks as though the little Murkrow I rescued has taken a fancy to Doc.”

Nope, the irony isn’t lost to her either. That’s the hilarious part.

Something is wrong, she could feel it.

Doc’s collapse in the hallway couldn’t be coincidence. It just couldn’t, not with the tightening feeling she felt in her chest. Or more importantly, her SOUL.

She had almost forgotten her beloved boyfriend and her life with him when Fleur was away from the timeline; that was scary enough as is. But this? This is something different that she could feel. As much as it felt right, she didn’t want that. Whoever or whatever it was coming from, it had to stop. Syphoria didn’t like it one bit.

Her main focus though, was to get Doc to the bedroom for him to rest and get off of his feet, reassuring him that her and Sami had the daycare covered. Boy, Pixie could tell something was off with her trainer, and it showed within her chocolate eyes.

Syph glanced over at the Vulpix, after helping Doc to bed, a frown and an anxious look covered her face.

What was going on?

Who was causing this?

....And was it going to change everything?

Syph is smiling alright, and practically glowing watching Doc and Sami interact. Boy, did she adore them so much. They both make her life so complete..

“....Doc can drink way more coffee than that and be fine. Why do you think I stockpile the ones he likes?”

“Both you and your love of coffee. I’ll keep to my tea, thank you.”

“Wait...do we have a guest over and Doc didn’t tell me?!”

And cue the blonde scrambling to get some tea and a snack prepared for their guest. Honestly, Doc should tell her of these things.
