Im ashamed to say ive been dreaming of ofmd s2 just dropping or an ad and was very annoyed to wake up and see none yet.
On one hand 80% of my shows are announcing their april/may airing dates. On the other hand warnerdiscovery is so fucked they literally pulled Miracle Workers the day of to ‘finish up their shedule’ 2 months ago…

New show for Zazlav's WarnerDiscovery programming initiative.
I thought Logan Paul’s Wild And Wet Crypto Scam was a powerful way to end 2022, but how do you logically progress from there? Wonder no more, my friends, the way to open 2023 is that the Fyre Festival guy is trying to make another Fyre Festival:
26 million dollars in debt and having spent 4 years in prison due to Fyre Festival, this guy’s first idea fresh out of jail is to throw another one. Never on schedule, always on time. I’m looking forward to seeing the next wave of influencers having to fight for their actual lives in an abandoned island again. Of all things I never expected to see DLC for, Fyre Festival was at the top, and yet, here we are.

Sorry, my nerd came out a lil bit... Reposted from @thepartynerdz Ok... These are the facts we know for sure: . 1. Disney is DEFINITELY in talks to buy DC Comics and the rights to all their characters since WarnerMedia and Discovery are now merging due to AT&T, parent company of WarnerMedia, looking to get completely out of entertainment. . 2. The new company, WarnerDiscovery, has given flexibility for a sell of both entities (DC Comics and DC Brand) to Walt Disney Company. . 3. No official word yet if Disney's plan is to keep DC Comics/DC Brand as a separate entity or fuse it with Marvel into one giant brand. . #DC #Mcu #superman #thor #omg #batman #breakingnews #hulk #warnerdiscovery #loki #Disney #themarvelcinematicuniverse #crossover Corey ga1n3s (at Phoenix, Arizona) https://www.instagram.com/p/CPPbvnOlxMy/?utm_medium=tumblr

Ela é o rogulho brasileiro! Bruna Marquenize é confirmada como brasileira em novo teaser Besouro Azul, filme estrelado por Bruna e Xolo Mariduena.
Confira a sinopse completa:
Além de Xolo Mariduena e Bruna Marquezine, o elenco conta Susan Sarandon, Raoul Max Trujillo, George Lopez, Adriana Barraza, Elpidia Carrillo, Damián Alcázar, Belissa Escobedo e Harvey Guillén. O longa tem o roteiro escrito por Gareth Dunnet-Alcocer e conta com direção de Angel Manuel Soto.
Besouro Azul estreia no dia 17 de agosto.

Y'know what this stupid graphic (and really the whole decision to merge HBO Max and Discovery+ into one streaming service) reminds me of?
#Welp my WarnerDiscovery slander was a huge hit apparently who not bite the corporate hand that metaphorically feeds me LOL#CW: animal death#blood/gore#metalocalypse#S1E19#Dethstars#the tribunal#hbo max#warner discovery#I mean it's not like merging the two isn't an unwise business move#but still it feels like they're just mashing the two together without that much thought#like say what you want about HBO Max at least it had something of a brand identity

The Book Rights thing has an infamous example in comics. The 1980s DC Comics series Watchmen was one of the first comics to then be collected in graphic novel form. The rights were intended to revert to the creators Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons after the book went out of print. The problem is the book was too successful. In nearly 40 years, it has never gone out of print. Hence, WarnerDiscovery - DC's parent company - has retained the rights and made a movie and a TV show and various spinoff comics, and in doing so thoroughly pissed of Alan Moore. Now we have a corporation hoarding copyrights and one angry old wizard.
law idea: products that are not currently and will not be purchasable from the parent company for the foreseeable future are not counted as "copywritten" in regard to the sharing, reproduction, and other "piracy" claims in court of law.
if you aren't selling them your customer doesn't have to buy
this is in regards to all copyright, if someone starts a factory producing clones of iPhone and iMac chips for the purpose of repairing devices, that's not copyright infringement, because apple does not sell those chips :)
if they want to keep their copyright they can put their repair chips on the public market, continue matinance of old products, etc
Nintendo will hate this law the most I'm sure.
widows is surprisingly robust to this law as you can actually buy every copy of windows ever produced right now on windows website, albeit you might have a hard time finding it because they'd PERfer you didn't.
streaming companies dropping original content from their service for tax purposes can expect to find it on YouTube the next day for free no ads
I think you all will be able to see how this will have a hotting effect on the market, where as now copyright holders have the power to delete content from the legal sphere, under this law they cannot do that. they can sell it themselves or they can give it away for free.
no more manufactured scarcity for the sake of inflating already inflated prices

TLDR: WarnerDiscovery is getting sued by Several Hundreds of Thousands of its own shareholders!
Hi! I know I reported the Netflix situation inaccurately considering they’re (somehow) still an operating company. But Warner Bros Discovery is getting a big lawsuit! And I wanted to try to break it down for fun:
Before their merger, AT&T had pumped a lot of money into HBOMax with no intent of it being sustainable. This was to make Warner Brothers more appealing to purchase. They also conflated their amount of subscribers by lumping AT&T customers into that whole. So Discovery now has a platform with far less funding and far less subscribers then they’d been led to believe.
This compromises several Security & Exchange violations, leaving the Several Hundred Thousand misled shareholders of WBD to participate in two class action lawsuits against their own company!
In an interview published this morning, the internal president of WBD announced HBOMax would be ceasing production in most of Europe, the Netherlands, Nordic countries, and Turkey. Stating that streaming will be profitable “one day probably” in those countries, while also alluding to making yet another streaming service in collaboration with Sky TV.
As well as continuing to remove more series and films to meet their $3 Billion cost saving plan. The same plan that cost them several Billion in market-cap. As well as making several shows and films like ‘Infinity Train’ and ‘Batgirl’ completely inaccessible through legal means.
As of June 2022 WBD has roughly $6.6 Billion, and their stock prices have almost sunk below $10 at time of writing.
If they continue to gut their programing, remove themselves from markets, lose more stock value, and even just lose money on an upcoming series or film; When the lawsuit rolls around, they will be at risk of losing upwards of a further several Billion dollars.
Its a genuine possibility by 2023-2024, Warner Bros Discovery could just dissolve or liquidate if things keep going like they are! Thanks for reading (-:

My house unfortunately don’t have cable and SamsungTV doesn’t carry any WarnerDiscovery channels…but f🎸k it I’m going to try to tune in anyway, I’m probably get a trial for YouTube TV if only because of my Pepe Silva-style conspiracy theory that we might get a trailer or any kind of preview for the movie.
That and eventually I do want to watch Uzumaki when it airs and if I feel that $65/a month is worth it
On Friday, June 3rd, there will be a marathon of Metalocalypse Season 4!
