“Two high-schoolers, a PTA mom, and Velma at the senior center.” 

“Nice range of demographics.” Tim nodded approvingly. “We’re gonna do a line of merch—Red Hood t-shirts, water bottles, gas masks—but we should start other efforts at the same time. How do you feel about short-term investments? Crime Alley has a lot of small businesses, right?” 

“Uh, yeah?” Jason said. “Franchises never make it there.” 

“So, the laundromat could probably use a new washer,” Tim said. “Summer is coming up; one of the bodegas could probably use a slurpee machine. And one of the food trucks could probably stand to upgrade its fryer capacity. Do it like Shark Tank. People can come up with their own upgrade proposal and show you that they’re a responsible investment, and then they’ll have ownership of the idea instead of having Red Hood come down from his throne of duffle bags full of heads to ask if they need better lighting for their OnlyFans.” 

Jason opened his mouth, closed it again. “You want me to do Crime Alley Shark Tank.” 

“I want two of your lieutenants and two well-respected community members to do Crime Alley Shark Tank,” Tim corrected. “You’re a wanted felon and people’s attempts to kill you would be distracting. You can be a guest judge on the finale.”

I've got one other request for flares recently, but even if I started on those today it'd take a lot of time & testing to get them to the point of being ready to actually put up into the shop. I've got a lot of other stuff in the works right now so unfortunately flare leg pants are pretty far down the list.

usually at work all of the coffee bagging is split between two ppl, i do all the retail and the other guy does all the wholesale. but he's going home for a month on july 14th, which means for that month i will be the only one doing all the bagging

so like on one hand i feel "sweet more money/shifts, maybe i can actually afford that new phone soon" but on the other hand........yeah, it does mean that im gonna have a lot more responsibility on my shoulders alone huh

Can we also have help for people who work inside but with no air conditioning.

I worked in a warehouse for a few years. When it was literally 116 F (that’s past the point where fans can cool your body btw, they legit just make it worse at that point) they told us to come in and do like any normal day. It was a little better inside than it was outside just by virtue of not being in direct sunlight, but that’s nowhere near enough when it’s 116F and you’re doing heavy lifting.

The metal trucks came in with packages scorching hot. They parked on either side of my little station, radiating heat on both sides of me.

There are some legal protections for outdoor workers in certain states, but not indoor workers. Not even when it’s so hot that temperatures are potentially deadly even in the shade.

We should have either been told to come in on a time/day where it wasn’t, again, literally 116F, or we should have had air conditioning.

I know mail carriers are infamous for delivering mail through even the 'toughest weather' but maybe they should not do that. IDC if I have to wait an extra week for my package. 116°/ 46°C real feel outside should not be considered 'non-dangerous weather' it does not matter if they have AC in their car, they shouldn't be forced to deliver non-essential packages at all. "but what about medical equipment/medicine" deliver it early in the morning at in the evening after the sun has set. They should get paid for these days too. I am so tired of seeing videos of mail deliveries collapsing on someone's ring door camera.
