I MISSED THE SPOILER WHEN WATCHING THE INTERVIEW WITH KEANU O SHADOW! Let's take it in order. After the trailer was released, all the plums were viewed, I rarely watch interviews with the actors. But having included one analysis of an Advertising TV interview with a YouTuber (Thank you Mason Parkinson who said this in the analysis), I completely forgot about the spoiler in this part. After rewinding the video, I didn't pay attention to it, but…Just look at this screenshot I took from that very interview.

it just hit me that the movie is coming out next month imgonna throw upppppppp

#to be clear this isnt an excited post this is a scared post .#i feel kinda guilty about it with how excited i was about the first 2 movies #but i just cant be anymore paramount and the scu have disappointed me so much within the past year in so many ways ......#shadow is one of my favorite characters his lore makes me go crazy and is one of the things that pulled me into loving sonic so much #but i literally felt nothing while watching that trailer aside from confusion at some of the writing choices being made #like i wasnt expecting an exact recreation of sa2 but why is sonic working with gun . wtf is gerald doing here . why are there no girls .#the only positives to me were things that were cool visually . which doesnt outweigh all the things that have annoyed/disappointed me #like who cares about another cool sonic and shadow fight scene we already have plenty of those .#Anyway. saw some of those new promotional images.#i swear to god if they actually start calling shadow+eggman+gerald team dark #like they suggested they might in that survey from a while back #im gonna become the joker for real #(insert the NO that is NOT solid snake image but it says team dark instead)#also maybe im taking the hedgehog games way too seriously here #but having gerald still be alive and present in some form feels like such a bad idea from a story perspective ... like .#for one shadow lost Everything in the gun raid having gerald still be here feels like its undermining that in a way #but also gerald's whole thing in sa2 is being long dead but still impacting the story despite that . why is he ALIVEEEE #and why is he here over rouge ???? do they just hate women or something #(before someone goes ''it would take too much time/money to animate another cgi character''#maybe the movies should have just been fully animated if that sort of thing was a concern . just saying)

the new norm of studios not only cancelling shows with diverse casts and characters after a single shortened season but then immediately removing them entirely from their platforms so no one can ever legally watch them again is gross and frustrating enough on its own, but there’s something really insidious about the fact that so many of these shows were the recipients of targeted hate campaigns before they even aired just because they were deemed to be “too woke” or “too gay” and how that plays into the larger sociopolitical landscape rn.

like tv shows are not nearly as important as the very real actual human people being hurt and affected by current and proposed legislation, but we as a community and as individuals are being told on all fronts that we can’t exist; not in real life, and not even in the escapist fantasy of television shows

#i know i'm not saying anything that we as a community are not already aware of but like jesus fuck #every single time???#the finale literally aired three weeks ago!!! wtf wtf wtf #grease rise of the pink ladies #willow 2022 #willow dared to have two queer actors playing lesbian love interests #rotpl really gave me two TWO queer nonbinary actors playing lesbian love interests #and then paramount dragged me out back like an old dog while disney smoked a pipe on the porch #like netflix and amazon both suck for a myriad of reasons #but at least they keep their cancelled shows on the platforms like some macabre roadside memorial to the sapphics #guess we'll see how long that lasts #sorry to be a bummer on main but uh i am Going Through Some Things and this all is super not helping

genuinely why is there so much misinformation about the guardians of childhood book series?

#Lemme be a toxic fan for a moment bc im so tired and stressed and i need to yell my silly fandom frustrations out to the void #The people saying Jack is fourteen in them. No.#He can manipulate his age from 11 to 18 and is dating a 25 yr old #people still insist that the books are connected to the movie despite there being no possibility for that since 2018 #And like they totally guess what happens in the books #I saw someone try to say that dreamworks were being 'weird' and aged Jack up to ship him with tooth but in the books he was a child #three things: He's not fourteen (see above for age. He's essentially an adult and is treated as such) and is dating an adult #And he didn't make an official appearance in the books until 2018. Six years AFTER the movies release #and thirdly dreamworks aged him DOWN????#Joyce's og idea was an adult with a wife + kids ???#Like what are you talking about #never mind the people insisting that JACK IS 12???? NO??? Where did you get ur information bc wtf???#the movie started production (in 2008) before any of the books even existed (first book was published in 2011)#We have no idea how much of the books they had! The most they had were Joyce's ideas that were subject to change (and boy did they change)#the walking eggs in the movie didn't come from the book (even tho they're in there) they came from Joyce's doodling on notes!#The third book published alongside the movie tie-in books and then days later the finished film premiered at the Mill Valley Film Festival #by the time the second book rolled around (2012) the movie was probably finished and was just getting distributed by paramount and #was possibly even finished in 2011! Four years of production of the movie and then the first book got released #I cannot express enough how much the books are not the source material for the movie. If anything is it's the 2005 short film Joyce made #God it's so infuriating to see people discussing the books like they're the Bible without having read it. I get so irrationally upset #And why are we talking about the books like they have any relevance to the movie after 2018? that book completely severed all ties #Like I get it if people want to connect them but you'd have to ignore the entire last book to do that (which yeah most do)#but there's so many assumptions about the books and it makes it clear who got their into from fan rumors and who actually read them #if you are basing ur understanding of a book you've never read based on fanfic maybe you just shouldn’t say anything about the book #rotg #rise of the guardians #guardians of childhood #goc

No. Of all the shows that I actually like on Paramount+, why is this one getting canceled after 1 season. But get this. Not only is it going to be canceled, but it's also going to be taken off the streaming platform in a few days.

And this is why we need more physical media. I am part of the audience who would love to buy a DVD or the cast album.
