Why This Fucking Rules Actually:

- echoing tsukasa’s first character arc (focused on himself & what he stands to gain from wxs and emu/nene/rui -> growing to care about them as his friends & being willing to give up the commercial chance/lose the show contest for the WMS show). It’s the selfish & selfless aspects of his character we see over and over again. Tsukasa *is* egotistical and selfish. Sorry! I’m right. A lot of what he does is self serving & he tends to focus on himself. He’s just also capable of being very selfless. Which in turn benefits him. & This isn’t necessarily a bad thing.

He loves & desires attention and fame. He wants to use that attention and fame to make other people happy. He wants it to be *him* (& wxs) making other people happy because it comes with attention and fame. He wants to put on good shows because it gives him what he wants and he enjoys it. He’s responsible and helpful and kind to others because that is what his idea of a star is, and because he likes being viewed that way and the gratification that comes from it. He compromises and gives up what he wants and does things for others because that’s what a star would do, so that is what he will do. He is selfless because he is selfish. He is selfish so that he can be selfless. He is a fascinating critter & a paradox of a man.

That being said, the one person he consistently values over all else, above shows & fame, has always been Saki. Tsukasa “the grind never stops” “tried to go to an acting gig with food poisoning when he couldn’t make it out the door without collapsing” Tenma skips practice when she’s sick. Rui (+ nene iirc) is shocked that he’s actually a really good older brother (twilight musical parade). He wants her to be happy more than anything. Saki is the most important person in his life. She’s his number one fan & centric to his first step towards improving at acting (torpe event) for a reason. He would not be who he is, where he is, or have his current goal & motivations without her.

Before he wanted to be a star he wanted to be a good big brother, & being a good big brother is so important to him that it has essentially been baked into what his idea of a star *is*. It has quite literally shaped his entire personality. It’s natural enough to him that even as someone who loves to be praised he will go “? That’s just normal though I’m not doing much” when Saki or Toya comment on it (his SOAD 2*, Akito’s initial 3*, Toya’s doll festival 4*, etc).

Tsukasa’s fragment sekai is based on a book he read with Saki when they were kids. It’s about a brother doing The Most to make his sister happy. He goes into the situation thinking about acting by trying to figure out the weird expression on Hiro’s face, & finds out it’s an expression near tears that is only weird because Hiro never shows it to his little sister. Tsukasa spends his time in the fragment sekai helping Hiro be a good older brother. His last words to Hiro are praising Hiro for all he’s done and encouraging him. & tsukasa does figure out what he was trying to figure out! But that’s less important to both the viewer and Tsukasa than helping Hiro.

Nene, Rui, and Emu’s fragment sekai were about their dreams & what they value most - Nene wants to be on Broadway and grow with her friends by her side, Rui wants to put on incredible shows and continue to be with the people who accepted him, Emu wants to carry on her grandpa’s legacy and make him proud (and I think it was deliberate to release emu+tsukasa’s fragment sekai cards together given that saki is to tsukasa what emu’s grandpa is to her).

Just as you can’t separate Tsukasa’s character from Saki, you can’t separate his goal of becoming a better actor and future star from his goal of being a good big brother. His relationship to Saki was the catalyst for his dream, & that’s pretty clearly why they chose to make his fragment sekai reflect this. They’re emphasizing one of the most crucial and often overlooked parts of his character. And it was a fantastic decision.

I love it & will defend it until my dying breath. I’m cheering and clapping and hooting and hollering and whatever other words describing applause fit.

…I was thinking about the Drew vs Damian feud and my current theory is, the cause of this feud was Drew losing his sanity.

I mean, he’s been saying “there’s nothing left for me” expect assaulting Damian. I think he literally means that.

As he lost his final chance to confirm his spot in WM card at EC, there was high possibility he cannot be there this year. If it happens, Drew is forced to see all his enemies are taking spots at the biggest stage while he just stays home and has nothing to do.

(Technically the triple threat wasn’t scheduled yet at that time, but considering about what happened at RR and how big their names are, he could sense they will have a match.)

His already severely damaged mental cannot take that “disrespect.” (Besides, considering about how he is hated by his peers now, everyone will definitely make fun of him with that. How can he put himself through it?)

I think he decided to attack Damian to somehow at least have a match at WM, so that he can say “I had something else to deal with.” It was a desperate act. The true meaning of his words were “there’s nothing left for me (to stay sane).” (He could be even unconscious with that.)

Then, what about the reaction from Damian? He hasn’t spoken a lot, but just has been on “kill on sight” mode. Instead of speaking and convincing, he went physical immediately.

I think it’s simply his street grown survival instincts kicking in. As Drew is large and powerful enough, he is threatening even for Damian who is also really strong on his own. It’s not surprising when Drew’s first assault triggered the survival mode in him.

From Damian’s perspective, it’s quite obvious that’s not his fault, because everything Drew said was not him doing something bad.

He surely cashed in on Drew, and eliminated him at RR and EC, but they are the nature of the stipulations. If he has issues with them, he should go speak to the managements who adopt these rules.

For the results of CatC and MitB, they are not on Damian, too. Actually he was the one who wanted fair matches, but continuously got interfered by others against his will. If Drew has issues with them, he should at least go to Punk because he was the one who wasn’t supposed to be there. Damian got benefits from these events, but he never wanted nor asked them.

So, for Damian, Drew’s complainants don’t make sense at all. And thinking about Drew’s actions in these months, he may have thought it’s no use to speak any sense in Drew at this point. (I think Damian’s experience as a club guard also tells him that it’s better to just go physical instead of speaking.)

…Also, Damian might be thinking it may bring him a match at WM. Everyone wants to be at mania card, so it’s not surprising if Damian thought “OK, I’ll take this to WM. It should feel good when I beat this idiot at the grand stage of all.” (Though I’m a bit skeptical about this, as I don’t think Damian’s survival mode includes that type of strategic feature.)

(Btw, there’s another thing I noticed. Damian just uses the word “kill” as “beat the hell out”, not the literal meaning. He said he will kill Drew every week, but it’s physically impossible if he literally does that. In other words, Damian expects Drew to be there every week.)

…With these thinking I think there’s some possibilities that Drew goes completely insane if he loses at WM… Idk, at least I want their match to be fun enough.

I'm checking out X and not sure who did it, but I think it was tarot predictions for L. They did a breakdown of someone else's stuff and said overall they think he's going to be getting a job he's going to share a lot in April and be photographed often. He is going to be more confident and not care if his choices will take a loss. May even more fan interactions. June setting boundaries in life and calling out those who don't benefit him. July, another new role, more photos, but focused more on career. Curious what may come of that we will see, I'll come back and check each month. Makes me think we may see more of A, but maybe he will get it together, break up, be single, and focus on himself.

I think Luke will announce something very soon because he randomly talked about tap dancing during a sag interview. During SMA in September he talked about wanting to play a villain and then November we find out he is in WM which I think he’s a villain.

I think he has been confident and not caring for over a year now.

Liv is playing Dom or the Liv and Finn grand conspiracy theory

Have you ever noticed that everyone in the Judgement Day but Dom has benefited from Liv's infatuation with Dom?

Dominik Mysterio is currently the only male member of The Judgement Day without a title.

Meanwhile she’s done nothing to help him but everything to help Finn and JD who she’s been seen with multiple times before the whole Liv & Dom storyline even started and Finn who took her hotel key card

Ask yourselves. Why wouldn’t Dom and JD be champs that’s who's been tagging since December so why all of sudden it’s Finn and JD now? Don’t add up, especially since they've been seen with Liv in backstage scenes...

There are so many facial expressions after he's walked away that she's doesn't like him and is using him to hurt Rhea. Just so many.

She costed his match twice with her antics but she doesn't even care about it.

Like it's been clear to me since these Liv and Finn interactions that Finn Balor and Liv Morgan have been plotting together since Finn joined TJD.

As for Damian. There is so much dissension in TJD and tension between Finn and Damian and Liv is fanning the flames.

Here's what I think will happen. Damian will lose the title to Gunther and that's when Finn strikes. They kick Damian out of the Judgement Day and that's when Rhea comes back.

Out comes Rhea. Rhea and Damian rush the ring and beat the living shit out of Finn and JD. Rhea tries to get her hands on Liv, but Liv uses Dom as a shield. Rhea hesitates and Liv leaves with her champion and leaves Dom behind.

Throughout the next few weeks, Dom tries to weasel his way back into Damian and Rhea's good graces.

We get a big match at let's say Survivor's series. Damian, Dom and Rhea vs Finn, JD and Liv. Rhea and Liv are the last women in the ring and Rhea is throttling her and has Rhea where she wants her, that's when Dom causes an "accident" and Liv hits the riptide.

Finally we see Rhea vs Liv. Dom costs Rhea the match AND BOY IF YOU THOUGHT THEY HATE DOM NOW, THIS BOY IS GONNA START A RIOT TURNING ON RHEA.

The Raw after the big match. Dom finally declares himself to Liv and fully leans into his Guerrero heritage. He says he was tired of being subservient to Rhea and being treated like a child and that Liv finally treats him like a man and like he's somebody.

And finally in the blowoff match, either at RR, EC or WM. It’s Rhea and Liv in a last woman standing with Dom in a cage(hanging above the ring. If Liv wins, she stays with Dom and Rhea can never fight for the title again. If Rhea wins, Dom is left at her mercy.

Rhea destroys Liv in the blowoff match and regains her title. Dom is lowered and is trying to play face, in full Eddie bullshitting his way back into Rhea's arms and say he was always on his Mami’s side and that he loves her. Rhea riptides the little shit to cement her babyface turn and NUCLEAR pop.

Mami is back on top.

50. Hot take

This is like a very nothingy take but I don’t like Our Happy Ending from a writing perspective. Like it makes me very emo and i love gen wxs and it wraps up stuff pretty well but it really could have benefitted from being split into two events (one for rui one for emu). The pacing feels rushed and I don’t like how Rui just randomly has a chapter to wrap up loose ends from Canary like this is an Emu event for starters where tf is she and also Phoenix/Canary were setting up an actual big development with Rui and we got. A chapter in another character’s event and a card story? I don’t really blame the writers tbh most of the teams were clearly not ready to be done by 3rd whether they needed more or less events it’s just unfortunate.

Also I don’t like that they kinda forgor that the Travelling Troupe show was written by Rui about his life and have repeatedly mentioned even like two weeks before the event dropped that while it marks the start of wxs and is important to all of them it has a special significance to Rui because. Well he wrote it about himself and then wxs rewrote it to show they accepted him. Making it an Emu thing in this event was a very ??? decision to me. Again it works bc they travel and it’s important to all of them but idk they maybe could’ve covered that part in a Rui event or do something that had more personal significance to Emu considering it was her event. Like work the WMS show in or smth. Hell they have a flashback to her with her grandad so they could’ve done a show there that could be adapted in present day that would fill the role the travelling troupe show does in this event. Emu and Rui both got done dirty lol.

Oyf is still worse but i think the general consensus is that it’s meh and rushed but people like ohe so this qualifies as a hot take. I think.

Believing that the attempt to make labor-time a standard for a monetary unit a fallacy and bound to fail in practice, I submit a few questions and observations. Whose labor is to be used as a standard, the efficient or the inefficient man’s? Take any product you may, say shoes. John produces five pairs a day, James produces ten. Is it possible that John in a free market will be able to obtain for his shoes a price twice as great as James? Absurd! In a competitive market, John would be forced out of business if he charged a price twice as great as James. If he charged the same price, which he must do to remain in business, what becomes of the labor-time unit? Disappeared!

What is a standard of value? It is one product in terms of which the exchange rate of other products are measured. It is true that labor, in the shape of the utility of the objective hindrance overcome, the value of which is determined in a competitive market, enters as an element determining the exchange value of product and in a freely competitive market tends to become the whole factor. But products must be useful in order to be exchangeable, and usefulness is determined by desire. The value of labor is determined by its result, not the result by amount of labor in time.

The truth is that the desire for a product can measure the utility and hence the value of the labor expended in making it, but the amount of labor cannot conversely measure the value of a product. For, what may be said of productive labor and wasted labor? How are they to be differentiated? Surely it must be seen that under a freely competitive system inefficiency and waste are automatically eliminated. This is to the benefit of society at large. This is why a freely competitive system is, truly and broadly speaking, the most automatically cooperative condition possible. And this is why, fortunately, that freedom solves the economic problem. Efficiency crowds out inefficiency, putting the right man in the right place and remunerating each according to the service he renders society.

The trouble with economic conditions is that they are not freely competitive and the State is the institution which maintains this system of robbery. What with all the privileges guaranteed to and handicaps placed upon the different producers it so happens that some are able to derive more than their just share of the wealth produced. The necessary conditions for a freely competitive society which anarchists desire, the equality of opportunity, is very far from being realized today. This is why they so valiantly struggle to instruct people in the economic benefits of liberty.

While we claim that liberty solves every solvable social problem either it be in education, sex, literature, art, crime, religious beliefs or whatnot, we emphacize most strongly on the economic field, for this, it is believed, is the key to all others. It is unfortunate that so many so-called radicals (men who go to the root of things) do not understand economic processes, especially as they would exist under freedom. In my estimation, what makes this so is, not only the intentional perversions made by the text book economists, but also the stupid blunders made by Karl Marx in his, I believe, honest attempt to fight for the cause of the working class.

As far as the money problem is concerned, all that anarchists desire is that anyone or any combination may go into the business of furnishing money or insuring credit. To the superficial thinker, especially the authoritarian minded such as Socialists or Communists, this would seem the veritable return to chaos. But we will see how fraudulent or insecure money fares when free competition in banking exists, and what will become of the phenomenon of interest. What will most probably happen has been ably shown by Proudhon, Wm. B. Greene, and others.

But it is quite doubtful that an attempt to directly adopt a labor-time unit of value will meet with any success.

2. What is their class (+ subclass) and why did you choose it?

ragnar's a wild magic barbarian mostly because they were my first character and that was the combo that sounded the most fun LMAO

the in-universe reason is that ragnar had always been big, and large, and imposing, and i think that naturally played into them picking up barbarianism, especially as a bhaalspawn, but the wild magic stuff came a lot later, probably after their true heritage was revealed to them, although i don't necessarily believe it was a gift from bhaal moreso as it was a byproduct of just being bhaal's child.

i think in regards to their barbarianism as well, their rage isn't actually linked with anger. their rage is actually closer to a deadly or brutal focus rather than losing control of what they're doing. which is completely separate from them being a bhaalspawn. a reason that they probably become a reformed dark urge, and why they find their darker impulses so distressing, is because it's the complete inverse of their natural barbarian instincts. if their rage is becoming more in control and in tune with their body, empowering themselves to make the smartest battle decisions in regards to lethality, then their urges are being an out of control beast born of chaos and mad instinct.

this is also why i think the wild magic is an interesting combonation, because that is inherent chaos, right? it's something they can't really control. and it's something that's linked to bhaal even if, again, it's not necessarily a gift. that being said, they do learn to control it somewhat (which mechanically is an actual thing higher level WM barbs get), and i think after the events of the game they would maybe even gain a level or two in sorcery because of it. (which mechanically would be so scuffed, but that's why this is post-game stuff and not in-game stuff lmao)

3. Do they multiclass? Why (not)?

like i said above, i do think they become a sorcbarian after the events of the game, but the real reason i didnt multiclass them is 1/ i genuinely dont enjoy multiclassing anyway -- that's both in bg3 and in d&d, and 2/ my first playthroughs of games are usually (but not always) on easy mode because i just want to vibe and see if i enjoy it, and then i play on higher levels on subsequent playthroughs, which, if you've never played bg3 on easy (or whatever they call it, you know what i mean though), you can't actually multiclass! :) so like, rose, bren, those guys are both on medium (balanced?) (bhaalanced.) ragnar tho was my im here to have a fun time and figure out how to play runthrough.

17. Does your Tav's starting armor reflect them? If not, what would they wear instead?

oh completely. i actually love the starting barbarian's outfit and i didn't actually do anything to change their outfit until act 3. this was half because altho barbarians can wear armour, they actually do benefit from not wearing armour, (i know you can get magic outfits for barbs that arent armour, i just dont like the look of them), and half because i just really vibed with how it looked on them. the only change i ended up making was dyeing their armour a darker blue rather than the starting teal, and again, that was only in act 3.

i do think though that before they were lobotomised they tended to wear more cultist outfits, probably tailored to be less robe-like just so they could move properly when needed, and also they did not show their face in the bhaalist temple. this isn't to say that nobody knew what they looked like, if anybody was above ground with them, then they didn't bother to hide their face, but in the temple having a face is having an identity, and having an identity outside of being bhaal's chosen was unthinkable to them whilst they were performing their duties. this also served the added benefit of making them incredibly hard to get a read on, making them less predictable.
