i a little bit have the soul of an old man in terms of tech when old men go on reddit to passionately complain about how theyre just adding too much damn stuff these days and they liked when everyrhing was square corners and flat colors and no animations thats the kind of person i am. ive been using kde on my laptop for like a month or 2 and it literally is nice and whatever but i just dont Like it. i dont like how shiny everything is. i just want touchscreen featurws on xfce my beloved and then id be happy. actually also win10 style customizable app menu. and then id be happy

#maybe i should see if i can get newm-next + xfce to work together it seems like basically everything except the wm is wayland ready #ughhhhhhh i just wantnto br able to Find Out from people who already would know and not have to do all of the work involved in getting set #up but it seems like vanillaos2 MIGHT be the kind of thing i like but also might still be set up to hard require gnome. although maybe i #would actually like gnome better than kde........... whos to say.............#but i dont like that like all atomic desktops are also so inflexible. i like the idea of vanillaos and nixos like not really particularly #being Immutable Style but still having the benefits of atomic upgrades but i just didnt have success with nixos
