Okay, so this is a small oneshot which I will be posting tomorrow or the day after maybe?? idk it's basically done, just needs one last sweep of editing... tbh it feels kinda weird, I haven't written a short in such a long time, not counting twitter threads and tumblr ficlets ofc (though on that note; I'm prolly gonna start uploading those to ao3 soon as well) also I was dipping in and out of like 5 different wips this week, didn't even touch the mudslide fic in days and I've spent hours just marie kondoing the hell out of my room today, not even checking tumblr let alone writing, so I'm still kind of on the fence about this one but anyway...

Fuck, of course he knew what Buck was gonna say.

But he couldn't, not yet, not now.

They were supposed to go on a date and then a couple more and then at some point, after a few weeks maybe, on one lazy morning they would say it so naturally, like it wasn't even the first time; or whisper it onto each other’s lips after dinner, or maybe, taking a leaf out of Bobby’s book, Buck would run headfirst into danger and throw the words at Eddie, only for him to pick them up and hand them back to him when he came out safely on the other side – but it should’ve happened when they were at least in the same room, not racing to the hospital from two vastly different points of LA.

Eddie was angry at himself. He thought they had time to work this out, to let it work itself out… Buck wasn't even at work, how did this happen when Eddie went to sleep, thinking he had nothing to worry about?

Also, between this post and the other one, it turns out "want to write" is pretty much the same as "something I plan to write in a WIP I have daydreamed about many, many times but have yet to actually put into words on a piece of paper and thus cannot mark as 'have written.'" A-Z Sherlock Fan Fiction Tropes Bingo

Ahhh, so I saw this Fanfiction Bingo Card by @swissmissing going around, and even though I wasn't ever tagged, I wanted to do some recs of my own because, like, that's my whole brand LOL. I hope no one minds...🙃 I needed to have a list ready for this Sunday, and this was perfect, LOL.

daddywright fall fic writing challenge

Because the Organization that Shall Not Be Named has embraced AI (among other sins), I decided I wanted to create a little challenge of my own that isn't just for November and contains prompts that I'd actually want to do as a fic writer. I did this for myself, but if anyone wants to try out any of these prompts, you're welcome to! Because I'm lazy, I'll be trying to commit to this all fall, and give myself a goal of 30,000 words. We'll see how that goes!

Some of these are 18+ prompt ideas, because I like to write explicit material. Take or leave them as you like.

As a way to get myself excited, I'm going to commit and post something by 12AM tonight (!) that falls along one of these guidelines. Stay tuned!

Write from a character's POV you've never attempted before.

Write for a ship you've never written.

Resurrect a character from the grave.

KILL a character DEAD.

Share and develop a WIP that's at least 2+ years old

Fic inspired by a song you love.

Write a fic in future tense.

Live Cringe, Die Free: write an original character self-insert and have them interact in a scene with your blorbos

Knife to a Gunfight: write a scene where a character loses a fight

Passport: have your character travel somewhere you've been before

Because You Should: write a scene where the overlooked female character of a popular piece of media is the main focus

The Godfather: have a minor character play mom or dad to a child character for a day (reluctantly if necessary)

5+1 things: a classic

(18+) Laios Touden-core: Write an explicit scene with monstrous elements.

(18+) That Could've Gone Better: Write a scene that features some elements of bad sex. (Not sex written poorly, but sex that is in fact not good. They can talk about it, even.)

(18+) Write a scene featuring a kink that you've not written yet.

Werewolves of London: Your character has been struck by a curse. What is their terrible affliction?
