So I just found out that incense burners existed in TS4
I have no idea why I just found out about it when I've been playing this game for a few years now and have Spa Day on with me but they have the incense burners and now I want to make a moon themed incense burner.
I've made the moon so far and I'm gonna make the base later. Yes I did make the moon before I even created the base thanks for asking.

Day 4 of Learning to make Flutes for Sims 4
Did you know that the current design of the Western flute wasn't popularized until 1877? The current design of Western Flutes was popularized by Theobald Boehm. Before the dials and keys and buttons, classical flutes used to look like this:
(Source)
Basically, during Jane Austin's time, Flutes look a whole lot different than the flutes we're used to today. And that is exactly what I'm working on for this next practice.
(Flute Model for scale on the left by Jane Simsten over at Patreon)
I've decided to try my hand and recreate this same flute over at Blender and I'll see if I can make it into an object. I know I was supposed to be practicing making the Chinese Bamboo Flute, but I wanted to try this one first cause I had to learn how to texture and all that (by picking a more complicated design apparently.)
Also my back is in absolute pain my VULAN this is not sustainable. I need to do more stretches in the morning cause I am barely 20 with a back of a 60 year old T^T.

Day 3 of Learning to make Flutes for Sims 4
Frustrating. I'm literally on the third day and I'm already frustrated. I decided to do one of those 'make a new decor' tutorial that I found but I realized way too soon that it's outdated and it's difficult to apply to the current model of Blender that I have.
Like, I have no idea what I'm doing. Genuinely, the instructions for trying to make a painting is difficult to apply on my end cause the blender in the tutorial is an older version to the blender that I am.
Honestly maybe it's on me cause I expect to ace something that I literally have no experience in. But it's honestly frustrating just going back and forth from the tutorial and realizing you made a mistake but you don't even know what mistake you made.
I'm gonna try looking up a different tutorial for now. Literally on day three and I'm already losing it LMAO I am not excited.
EDIT
Right so I KIND OF did it? Definitely not the right color and shading but like, it's something at least T^T.

Day 2 of Learning to make Flutes for Sims 4
So, I did it. It's kind of baffling that I managed to create two new meshes for the two photos I showed in my previous post. But I did it.
Right now I'm just trying to figure out how on earth I'm supposed to put this inside TS4 studio. Hopefully by the end of the day, I have two new decors before I proceed to learning how to make a whole new skill.

Day 1 of Learning to make Flutes for Sims 4
SO, since I've finally uncovered my old Tumblr Account and now have a plethora of interests that needs to be recorded down for someone to witness my decent to madness, I've decided to finally use this account to record my progress in trying to make a flute mod for the sims.
I know that there already is a flute mod made by Jane Simsten on Patreon, but I'm making a flute mod for a specific type of flute. Specifically, I'm talking about a Chinese Transverse Flute commonly known as a Dizi.
(No, no I did not want to learn the Dizi because of 'The Untamed'. In fact, I found about TU AFTER I already learned how to play it.)
Right now I'm planning to make the mesh for two cheap options of the Dizi that looks like the images below. These things are like, really cheap. If they were converted to white people money, they'd be like a dollar and a half.
I actually plan on buying these two flutes just for authenticity (and to feed my insatiable hunger for more flutes) but for now I should focus on how to make mods on The Sims 4 Studios.
I'm still figuring things out so I haven't gone insane yet. Hopefully I will soon.
