"your secondary research, arguments and ideas were very original and impressive and showed very thorough demonstration. you should be incredibly proud of this work this is genuinely the best i've marked of yours in three years. also i know i told you that structure is subjective and there's no right way to structure an essay but you structured this wrong and your title is very wordy lol so here's a 66"
#I am so severely praying on her downfall she has no idea#i was going to be mysterious and not rant in the tags but i NEED TO omg#she wouldn't stfu about 'i want original ideas. give me something ORIGINAL GUYS'.#and this woman i'm absolutely convinced has it out for me because she has nitpicked and destroyed every single assignment i've done for her#(she marked me down for an audio recording of a presentation because apparently i didn't handle the subject matter 'maturely')#(she thinks i didn't want to say the words breasts or folds)#(I didn't CARE i was literally just out of breath from trying to fit 20 slides into a ten minute voice note but FINE WHATEVER)#so anyway for this essay i was like fucking bet i'm about to blow you away#but there was nothing she taught us in the seminars that was really worth expanding on#or that hadn't been taught or talked about before#so i went ahead and did this massive essay on eroticism of the decadence period. fin de siecle. victorian hellenism etc#all the research btw i did myself because all this woman did was mention pederasty maybe once in person#and she had the nerve to mention that i had 'planted the seeds for a first tier essay' like WHAT DOES THAT EVEN MEAN#if the only thing that it lacked was 'slightly awkward structure' 'occasional referencing mistakes' and a WORDY TITLE#A FUCKING WORDY TITLE#WHY NOT JUST GIVE IT A 70#noooooo she had to be different couldn't even give me a 68. fucking 66.#absolute tramp i fucking hate this woman idc#she's my personal tutor as well how absolutely useless

enjoy this clip of john bonham and john paul jones wordlessly communicating with each other during the “san francisco” sampled section of “dazed and confused” MSG ‘73 (which i believe was improvised? or maybe rehearsed once before?)
bonzo came into the transition a bit too early and the fact in this clip you can literally SEE his face concentrate and shift as he realises and then locks back in. wow.
and jonesy being the mastermind he is instantly picks up on it and adapts himself,
and then bonzo shakes his head in self disappointment and jonesy just gives him a reassuring smile like “oops!” and tells him it’s fine 🥹 oh i’m sobbing
TRUE MUSICIANS!!! AND TRUE FRIENDS!!!
#this is why it pisses me off when people just neglect to give either of them the credit that they deserve!!#understated and unsung heroes of the band#always on the same wavelength wow#led zeppelin#john bonham#john paul jones#70s#classic rock#70s rock#the song remains the same#70s music

Those are absolutely two of my favorite pictures of Elvis. Of course I like the details and all the info I can get on the pictures. One thing I have to say is that in that moment Elvis was in his 7th season at the International Hotel in Las Vegas (August 4th - September 4th 1972), and it was the first time he brought Linda Thompson to accompany him during the concerts (prior to that she had only accompanied Elvis during rehearsals in July). You can imagine how jealous I am of her because, well, just look at Elvis! 🫠🥲 Anyway, here's a little story about the fans with Elvis in those pictures:
Las Vegas, NV. Monday, August 28, 1972. Elvis with two Italian fans. The woman is Nicla Crippa and the man was the President of the Italian fan club, his name is Livio Monari. Livio Monari started the Italian FC in 1962. Together with Nicla Crippa, a personal friend and member of his Fan Club, they met Elvis just after the Midnight show on 26th August 1972. Photos taken that day didn't come out, so they asked to see Elvis again... to have new ones taken on the 28th August (2nd meeting) which are the ones shown above. They had just attended the Dinner & Midnight shows on the 28th Aug: when a waiter approached them - that Elvis was waiting for them.
Nicla said the following about the meeting:
1972 was a special year for me, I picked up all my saving of a year and together with Livio Monari at that time president of the E.P.F.C. of Italy, I flew to Las Vegas in August to see Elvis performing. When we arrived we were so excited that we started immediately to ask anybody of Elvis entourage if we could meet Elvis, crook Col. Parker was at a gambling table with his cigar and he said very rude "NO, you cannot met Elvis", then Joe Esposito who said No too, and when I told him "Hey Joe you are Italian like us" he answered "I'm not Italian, I was born in Chicago" very rude too... until I saw the name of Emilio Muscelli on an office door, I knocked and entered and I said with all my 18 years old enthusiasm (in fact I was not yet 18, I would have turned 18 on December 30) "Hi Emilio, we are Italians and we are here to see Elvis concerts and meet him"... well he took it good to his heart and from that point on he treated me like his daughter - he was 50 years old. We saw 14 concerts in 7 days and we met Elvis TWICE, the first time on August 26 but the pictures Joe Esposito took with Livio's camera did not come out as Livio due the emotion charged an already used film in the camera... the second time on August 28, this time we called a professional photographer to take the 2 pictures to be sure. When I saw Elvis the first time coming out of his dressing room I ran towards him and I almost jumped on him, I hugged and kissed him and he returned the hugs and kisses to me and he asked me "Hey baby how old are you" I answered "18" and he said "And you came all the way from Italy just to see me?" "Yes Elvis" and he "Oh baby..." and he hugged me again very tight. We stayed with him for 15 minutes, we gave him a trophy we brought from Italy unfortunately we have no picture of Elvis with our trophy but I saw it at Graceland Trophy Room in 1987. He wrote a dedication to me, and one to Livio, on 2 LPs we brought with us, he gave us a yellow scarf each, but especially I held his right hand in my hands for a long time, and he did not withdraw it, on the contrary he caressed my hands. He was such a gentle, sweet and tender person, he made us feel at ease and he slowed down speaking English as at that time I could not speak English well. We asked "when will you come to Europe?" he said looking at Joe "I definitely wanna go, after a project I have for January 1973 (Aloha from Hawaii) I'll ask Parker to organize a tour to Europe". The night after Emilio gave us seats in the first row, Elvis saw me from stage and he stooped down and he put a red scarf around my neck... and on August 28 we met him again same place backstage and he said "Hey you are still here, good", he had such a sense of humour. Those 2 meetings with Elvis still are the best moments of my life!

#first if all... elvis slowing down his talk so the italian fans could understand him better? that's so fucking thoughtful and adorable!#i wonder how many huge stars as himself - even common american citizens - would do something like that...#a very welcoming and warm way to treat foreigners#secondly... i have to say i do not like how colonel parker and even joe esposito were not that friendly towards those two elvis fans...#i know they couldn't possibly allow every and each fan to meet elvis but why be so cold - specially knowing how elvis wouldn't like that?#we all know how parker was not often friendly but joe is one of the memphis mafia guys i don't have much sympathy for#joe just gives me that 'i'm a big shot' energy... like 'i'm better than you' vibes just bc he was elvis' close friend and road manager#i may be wrong about him... didn't know the guy obviously... but little i've read of other MM guys talking about joe some said exactly that#on the other hand lisa marie said joe was always nice to her - a little strict and not afraid to say no to her as a child but a good person#but lisa was elvis' daughter so of course joe would be the nicest to her#don't know... it doesn't make joe a bad person at all... i just don't understand how someone close to elvis could be smug#does anyone else shares the same views on joe esposito or know something that shows i'm wrong?#i want to be wrong at this assumption but i do not like joe very much so far... i'm still trying to figure him out#elvis presley#elvis history#elvis fans#elvis fandom#elvis concerts#las vegas#nevada#august 1972#elvis#70s elvis#1972#elvis the king

I'm at the point now where if you utter the phrase 'real artists' I'm mentally hanging up on you. Genre-elitism is a thing of the past. We haven't been gatekeeping genres since like 2016; keep up.
#music#music fans#music lovers#grandpa go to bed#60s music#70s music#80s music#90s music#<- why are Gen X becoming THE most annoying music listeners?? Like you got shat on by hippies. What right do you think you have#to shit on 2020s music. You are absolute fools to think 'this has Never happened before. 2020s music is uniquely bad.#I am so Sad and Misunderstood but Blessed my music was good.' Debbie you are 64. Why are you in a pissing contest with a teen#elitism just makes you seem obnoxious. WE GET IT you don't like Sabrina Carpenter.#God you're a special little angel let's give you music listener of the year award. Christ.

Sorry to say but the 2000s and early 10s deserve the nostalgia it gets everything was new it was a transitional period worth mourning over so many new design styles were birthed during that time
#Txt#i do t give a fuck about the 80s tho lol#I think the 70s is also special#I just don’t like how ppl think young ppl are being nostalgic over nothing#The murky animation of the 2000s is the most special thing to me it has style and heart todays anime look so boring in comparison#I think this is lowkey why I don’t watch anime that much anymore#There’s almost no style everything looks like mappas signature ugly color palette#They should make more anime like wolfs rain yknow

Teachers who set extremely personal topics for class presentations are the worst.
Analyze yourself according to all the theories we've discussed and present your development to the class.
Excuse?
#Like ok it's not even that this class is full of vipers#In general. This is a shitty idea.#It's not even just the freud theory. It's a shitty idea whichever way you look at it#Vent#Sincerely contemplating halfarsing this one.#She's also horrible at marking. My paper went really well and she gave me 70%. So why even bother#'i never give full marks' well mam i never give my full effort to teachers who dont give full marks good day to you.#(im furious can you tell)#(it's not about the gpa it's about the effort i put in vs the result i got)#Sigh

starsky, about an average italian restaurant in a random building in the us: you ever seen anything so old?
hutch, standing in a room populated by almost exclusively empty tables: think we can find a table?
#i'll give hutch the benefit of the doubt about his empty table line because it might very well be sarcasm#but starsky... what#also!! i'm fascinated by the newspaper he's carrying. because a) why did he buy/bring that if he was busy dragging hutch out to dinner#and b) it looks. kind of wet? i mean idk it moves like it's dry enough but it's just... this weird color#did 70s newspapers just look like that? is it a strange full-page ad printed on the back in black and white (gray and yellow)?#video#*#starsky and hutch

LYRICS Songwriter: Tim Baty I woke up this morning, and I tried to call you, mmm But you weren't there and that put me in despair So I thought that maybe I could lose my mind In the countryside, so I went for a ride But I never stopped thinking about you Found myself wishing you were there Just to be with me, feel the breeze (feel the breeze) Sun didn't smile, I didn't care I decided to try just one more time To let you know I really love you so Before I arrived, I saw you go away With another guy, a tear filled my eye But I never stopped thinking about you Found myself wishing you were there Just to be with me, feel the breeze (feel the breeze) Sun didn't smile, I didn't care A long time has passed since that day I cried, mmm Life is fine, and I'm doin' fine When I'm at home, and I feel all alone Well, I think of you, I try to get a message through But I never stopped thinking about you Found myself wishing you were there Just to be with me, feel the breeze (feel the breeze) Sun didn't smile, I didn't care

there is so much aggressive misinfo abt toxic shock syndrome out there its a nightmare
#1st off 80% of the population is just straight up immune#no it is not caused by chemicals on tampons and all but one of the leading scientists who study it assert that the risk comes from#oxygen entering the vaginal canal which causes staphylococcus aureus bacteria to multiply -> bacteria produces TSST-1 toxin#-> toxin enters bloodstream -> causes TSS#the reason that heavy absorbancy products create more of a risk is they give the bacteria more room to multiply this is why the rely tampon#caused a spike in TSS cases in the 70s-80s they were fucking massive#there's disagreement from scientists abt how much the amount of time you leave a tampon in actually affects the risk of TSS but to be safe#still just keep it to 8 hrs because either way old blood is not great for introduction of other potentially harmful (but not deadly we're#talking like yeast infections here) bacteria#literally there are like 20 US cases of TSS per year. plenty of those aren't period related#chances of getting it even if you leave a tampon in a few hours more than 8 are practically 0#also cups can cause tss for fucks sake. its also practically a 0 chance but saying they can't cause it is completely untrue.#i've got a really good article discussing how TSS actually works if anyone wants it just send me an ask or a dm#.log

one of the biggest mistakes i've ever made was buying a shag area rug at ikea. it's impossible to vacuum. it's so hard to keep clean. the cats love to vomit on it, too, so it really is just a gigantic ordeal.
#like it's literally impossible to vacuum somehow#even on the very weakest setting it's too strong. i sometimes manage a little bit if i use a brush attachment. but that doesn't do much lol#i know now why it was on sale.#it was like $70. absolutely unheard of price. they were basically giving them away.#it looks nice though#when i spend an hour cleaning it#i've started just getting on my hands and knees and individually picking up any little things that have fallen into it#cardboard scratcher bits are a big one#but i only have time to do that every once in a while so it usually looks so bad
