Kairi is Xehanort's 14th Darkness Pt. 2
A lot of people have expressed confusion over the artwork on the top middle being used for "Kairi" on this Heart Station. And that's completely understandable considering...it's not actually Kairi!
It never was. It was Ariel.
She was always there in KH1 but her absence at Hollow Bastion is very apparent. There's only six POLs there holding the darkness back.
But why did they decide to have Kairi take Ariel's place? Well, no matter the reason...they sure made it easy to explain what's going on.
Kairi's necklace is the key. It's what holds the pure light and is what disguises her as just that.
However Xehanort managed to create or take away this power from another (and if so, from WHO) is up in the air but I'm leaning on the side of it being artificial. Kairi turns to crystal when she's killed much like Xion does and has been compared to a puppet.
Xehanort tried to create his own pure light and darkness.
It seems only natural he'd "plan for every eventuality".
Vanitas was darkness covered by Ven's light that was unable to be seen until Ventus was forced to face what happened with Strelitzia. Kairi similarly holds darkness within her but has been cloaked in light.
Both appear as the darkness within the light as compared to Riku appearing as the light within the darkness.
There's actually lore reasons that even if Kairi had been a POL in KH1...she wouldn't be one again in KH3.
Sora and Mickey Mouse are just making assumptions about Kairi that aren't based off any actual facts and it's really a giant case of paying attention to what's being said and not misconstruing it all. Don't be a Luxu, guys! If there's new POLs, there's NEW POLs.
Kye is pronounced like "Kai".
Ariel's fate with Eric was to be doomed once the sun set on the THIRD day if she failed to kiss him. And Ursula appears in human form while wearing the necklace carrying her light voice inside it to ensure that.
Sounds like Xehanort got his wish, if you ask me.
A part of him survived for the world after and it's inside Kairi.

I think it’d be really, really funny if the Civilians of Twilight Town keep trying to guess what Roxas, Xion, Lea, and Isa’s deal is, trying to fit them into SOME sort of even remotely traditional family structure and end up with, like, six different competing rumors even before the polite blonde girl who divides her time between “the old abandoned mansion, which they guess she owns?” and nowhere in the area.”
And then the visiting scientist.
And the other visiting scientist.
And the scientists’ apparent son (other son?), who spends his entire trip talking with Pence about something they’ve clearly been collaborating on for at least a year despite the fact that no one’s ever seen him before.
Xion introduces a boy who looks nothing like her, currently lives with his family (not, she specifies, her family,) and has no relationship with Roxas or Lea whatsoever. Apparently they’re both the children (okay, he says creations, but Even’s an odd one) of one of the scientists. Technically, they say. They look nothing alike. They’re pretty sure he doesn’t live with the scientist, either. He does know Namine (presumed to be the scientists’ mutual daughter) but they say they’re not siblings point blank. Someone crosses Xion and Namine being sisters off a whiteboard, then considers and puts a question mark there.
Roxas’s incredibly obvious identical twin shows up and they claim to be half-brothers. Roxas will skateboard away from all followup questions. On another trip, he’ll bring a third boy who introduces himself as “the other half of (Ven’s) heart” and then immediately refers to Roxas, Xion, and Ven (but not Lea or the other boy, who nonetheless knows him) as his siblings. He claims to have been born at the dawn of time and just after the worlds shattered and also sixteen years ago. (Vanitas knows exactly what he is doing and is THRIVING off the chaos.)
Based off similar hair colors, her apparent dislike of Lea, and sheer desperation, half the town is convinced that Aqua and Isa are siblings and she sided with him during the breakup. There’s no consensus about how Terra fits into this. (Isa’s not correcting them. About any of this. It’s not worth it.)
Seifer gets back from a journey of self-discovery and asks who the newbies are and gets shown eight different, mutually-contradictory conspiracy boards in the form of family tree/relationship charts. Lauriam and Elrena have been the source of multiple schisms among the gossip mill.
By the time Sora shows up again even Hayner, Pence and Olette are having trouble keeping everything straight, and they actually know the whole story.
#kingdom hearts#long post#note that whether or not any given professed relationship is ACTUALLY how they consider each other should be ambiguous#(except for Ven and Vanitas and Even and Xion and Repliku which are obviously canonically accurate but being interpreted as not literal)#and any assumed relationship by the town is equally unreliable#Roxas and Ven know they can’t get away with being UNrelated but refuse to say they’re twins#it would only raise more questions at their birthdays#Sora brings Strelitzia too. Sora doesn’t know Lauriam’s name. Ven clearly knows them both. Chaos reigns.#the TT Teen Trio figure it’s none of their business whether any given group are siblings or dating or both#it’s Heart Stuff. that gets complicated even before the time travel and giving each other your body and replicas and everything else#if someone wants them to know then they’ll tell them. except Vanitas. but then someone else will tell them.#oh also Seifer DEFINITELY met Leon during that journey of self-discovery and it was a Whole Mutual Thing#but that goes without saying and he will never mention it to the rest of the town as it won’t come up…#up until some of the Radiant Garden crew visit and recognize him.

Kingdom Ponies!! Sea Salt trio edition!! 🩵
Last post, I got requests for design notes so first off, all Organization members are branded with the Recusant's sigil. For ponies, this replaces their cutie mark.
Axel being a griffon layers with his insecurities, he doesn’t have a mark like ponies do so he worries he will be forgettable, especially after leaving the organization. His name reflects this; an old memory that’s fading at the edges. Vignette also means to recount evocatively with nostalgia.
Roxas’ design is a fusion of Sora (Easy Breezy) and Ven’s (Windfall) most notably he gets Sora’s crown shaped fur tuffs. His cutie mark is supposed to emulate his X shaped symbol and he’s the only character with mismatched hoof tones. His name is very literal but as an idiom, it reflects Roxas’ role in the organization!
Pareidolia is the act of seeing faces in things that do not. She’s also a changeling! Changelings feed off of energy and affection so just like in Days, she’s accidentally absorbing Roxas throughout. Reformed changelings are very colorful so I based the tones on Thalassa shells. She also gets a pony form-just like white lies, she resembles pinky promise. Together they both make up Kairi’s alicorn status (Xion pegasus Namine unicorn) Xions main seashell on her mark is shaped like the organization symbol. In the story, her cutie mark would change depending on who sees her, before she establishes her identity
#noeart#kh#kingdom hearts#mlp#my little pony#khmlp au#Axel#Lea#Roxas#Xion#Sorry this was late I was struggling with Roxas name and xions color scheme#but I’m happy with them I think!#Xion gets Riku colored hooves and icy blue for sea salt and her crystallization effect in the end of days#Roxas gets little ear piercings for his finger sleeves#also asks are now open!

been thinking thoughts about KH3, MoM theories, etc a lot lately and this is my current brain rot:
All the Org XIII ancient keyblade wielders seem to treat Sora with either derision or kindness.
Eg. Marluxia and Luxord are friendly to Sora when they’re fading away. Marluxia thanks him and Luxord gives him a card to help him. Luxord was arguably never unkind to Sora prior but he was still antagonistic. Larxene isn’t kind per se but she shows a different side briefly and even smiles at him in the end, which for her actually seemed genuine.
Meanwhile you have Xigbar/Luxu and Demyx. Both of which are, frankly, bastards (affectionately! I love them your honor) to Sora in KH2, DDD, and KH3 even when they don’t need to be. Like, just thinking about Xigbar antagonizing the shit out of Sora in KH2/Radiant Garden and like Cardi B I’m wondering what was tf reason.
Based on what we know of him now, we can make educated guesses as to why he acts that way — his character file is illuminating and offers a lot of insight as to why he may feel differently about Sora, in addition to how nosey af we know Luxu is.
Demyx initially acts friendly but that’s really just him addressing Roxas imo which he makes pretty obvious by speaking directly to Roxas in KH2. And while he was objectively terrible to Roxas in terms of ditching him on missions in Days, he was never actually rude or unkind to him that I remember. For the most part he’s friendly with him both in game and in comics (that I know of). And he seemed alright with Xion.
Sora? Nah. He’s sarcastic as shit and while I love me some barbs, I tend to agree with the opinion that sarcasm is veiled contempt.
In fact contempt is the word I feel fits best for how both Xigbar and Demyx act/feel toward Sora.
But Riku? Demyx calls out to him in Remind and starts talking like they’re besties, he smiles at him softly — which is not at all weird or like his soft smile for Ienzo, no not similar in the slightest — and he gets up in his personal space, which, while not entirely unusual for Demyx, is in contrast to his interactions with Sora. It’s made a little creepy by the odd familiarity with which he’s treating someone he’s supposedly just met — and not even properly. (it’s actually crazy to me but rn I’m realizing the org members almost never introduce themselves to anyone lol Sora has no idea who these people are, like he literally doesn’t know what to call them so he just says “it’s org 13” bc names? what’s a name?)
And this single solitary interaction between Riku-Demyx for me is all just so strange because there’s few people on record in the games that Demyx is actually friendly toward. Xigbar, Ienzo, Roxas, maybe Xion, now Riku. That’s an ..interesting mix. I’m not counting Vexen because dude was finding every excuse to walk away from science boy in RG before getting sucked into the scheme via manipulation (and arguably his own ego, cause you know, he’s the only one who could pull it off bc no one would suspect him). He literally claims himself that he had no real friends outside of Xigbar and we know that association alone is 👀 At one point Axel speaks somewhat kindly of him, but then Demyx was saying how much quieter it was and how he’s glad the loudmouths were unalived in Castle Oblivion. Not very neighborly of him, but then again Axel and Zexion were friendly enough to bet on who’d die next only for Axel to axe (aheh) him so a lot of that backstabbing shit went on. So maybe he was cool with Axel but clearly not enough to be friends with him, even though he apparently wanted friends. (On another note, I still find it super odd Axel chose to defend Demyx to Roxas instead of piling on, we never even saw them interact. It’s weird.)
It’s unfortunate we don’t get to see Xigbar/Luxu interact with Riku on his own but, like with Demyx, I think he would be less bastardly than he is with Sora. Maybe it’s a keyblade master thing, maybe Riku’s just earned more respect, or maybe he just can’t stand that Sora is the ‘hero’ putting others (Riku et al) in danger constantly by needing to be rescued or protected — at least from Xigbar/Luxu’s perspective.

starting to get way too into the weeds of Organization XIII warrior cats. Xion and Roxas are definitely apprentice age, but what about Zexion? in my mind kits are like the equivalent of humans from birth to 12 years old, and then apprenticeship is during teenage years, which would make Zexion probably a young warrior fresh off the heels of apprenticeship, BUT fucked up political intrigue is the bread and butter of warrior cats, as well as, uh, the bread and butter of Zexion. if we ignore the fact that he'd be too young to be any threat to Saïx's deputy ambitions (you have to have been a mentor to an apprentice to even be considered as deputy and cat Zexion's only like one year old, Xemnas's bizarre choices be damned he wouldn't even have the TIME to apprentice someone) and have him get assassinated for political reasons anyway... which cat afterlife does he go to? cats who commit terrible crimes get sent to the Place of No Stars (cat hell) based on decisions of StarClan members ("normal" clan cat afterlife), but he was literally a kit during the warrior cats equivalent of the Fall of Radiant Garden and was an apprentice for almost the rest of his life, and Warriors has never sent a kit or apprentice to cat hell. I don't think StarClan would do that even if Ienzo and Zexion did hurt people. They let Mudclaw in because despite attempting a coup, he was genuinely worried for his clan's wellbeing and his vision was clouded; they let Ashfur in despite being a jealous obsessive bitch who helped try to take one of Firestar's lives and almost killed three children because "his only crime was loving too much" (they were wrong about this one LMAO Ashfur went on to be a major series villain); they seem to give the benefit of the doubt. They'd probably pity Zexion's absolutely fucked situation and let him into StarClan. Now, which of the other Organization member cats they'd send to the Place of No Stars, THAT'S an interesting question

Snippets of my kingdom hearts/twisted wonderland crossover. And yes i do know that theyre all off model & that my pen bled all over his hair.
If you can guess who they all are then kudos to you
I couldnt sort Sora, Kairi or Xion into any RSA dorms because they literally dont exist yet :(
Outfits still based on what little we have for RSA, which is like 2 different styles.
Roxas in Savanaclaw Halloween get-up and Xion in a casual hoodie. Ruggie just so happens to be there (read: in the bushes spying on the slacking firstie). I think its kinda out of character for ruggie, but its kinda cute. This is only image read right to left, for some reason.
Calligraphy pens arent meant for drawing (the ink bleeding is an absolute nightmare) but its still so fun

Keyblade Design analysis
This is another Kingdom Hearts post that I am doing; this time it will talk about keyblade designs. This post is about discussing the keyblade designs, I will not talk about all keyblades just these keyblades by certain characters this post is about how to design a keyblade by looking at how these keyblades are designed so you might have an idea of how to design a keyblade for your oc.
Keyblades have something to do with the characters themselves since they reflect the heart of their wielder; this is referenced in The Design of the Keyblades because it references the characters who wield them. The keyblade's designs don’t just reference the characters but also their role in the story.
The keyblades in the game are based on worlds that Sora visited and their stats and abilities. I am not going to focus on the designs of all keyblades but on the main cast's keyblades.
Let's first off start with Sora and his key blade,
In concept art Sora was originally going to wield a chainsaw but it was scrapped to something more harmless in design keeping it Disney friendly to the players.
The concept behind the keyblade in the creator's comments is a key that frees hearts stolen by enemies so it was created based on that.
The keyblade is The main weapon that Sora uses in Kingdom Hearts, the kingdom key is the keyblade that Sora usually wields in the series the eternity of Kingdom Hearts was created around it. Let's look at the design of the iconic basic key blade also known as the kingdom key,
Kingdom Key
Design:
At the end of the keyblade, the teeth of the key silhouette are a crown, if you look closely it is shaped like a crown. It has the Kh logo located in its design, the crown matches the same crown necklace that Sora wears and the series is a reference to the series title where you see in the title.
The hilt guard is round and curvy Disney's trademark style as well and colored yellow the color yellow is a reference to Mickey Mouse's yellow shoes, mickey token on the end of the keychain reflects that blend of Disney as seen in its design the weapon would be a blend of Disney and final fantasy which is seen well in the kingdom keys design.
Name:
For the Titles of the keyblades I believe that the names of the keyblades mean something The names of the keyblades have a much deeper meaning I think this is intentional by Nomura this is seen in The name of the keyblade is called Kingdom Key, a reference to kingdom hearts since this keyblade is The key to kingdom hearts.
Sora was not originally the keyblade chosen it was Riku but since he was consumed by darkness since Sora earned the right to wield the keyblade the keyblade design matches that though originally belonged to Riku but went to Sora the kingdom keys design reflects Sora and Riku.
The design says something about Sora as a character with the color yellow in the design suits soras’ bright and cheerful personality the kingdom key is simple in the design notes that Sora is just a simple normal kid deep down who wants to spend time with his friends the keyblades design reflects that since sora is simply simple and clean pun intended which is why the keyblades designed suit sora since its simple in design.
But what does the keyblade say about these two characters who wield well let's go over it, shall we?
The kingdom key is the default form of Roxas and Xion keyblades
Roxas the reason why Roxas can wield the keyblade is that he is the nobody of Sora. Xion, Xion can wield a key blade because she is a Replica of Sora, Xion is a puppet created to capture Sora’s memories and abilities she captures Sora's memories and abilities which should explain why she has the same kingdom key as the keyblade they both wield, in fact, sora’s key blade.
Oath keeper and Oblivion
Let's talk about the two Oath Keeper and Oblivion, they are both iconic keyblades of the game and that is mostly credited to their designs, the two keyblades are symbolic of Sora’s memories and the bond of Riku and Kairi repeatedly and are shown repeatedly their design. Let's start with the design of the Oath Keeper itself is symbolic of Sora’s memories and feelings of Kairi and it's seen in the small details in the design.
Design:
The teeth at the end of the keyblade are in the shape of the kanji, the Japanese characters for light. There are two hearts displayed on the keyblade which is a reference to both Sora and Kairi.
The hilt guard resembles two angel wings; we associate angels with goodness and light; they act as a guide for others; this notes Kairi being Sora's guide for his way back home but also represents Sora and Kairi. There is a rainbow at the end, which is a reference to that light is made up of many colors.
It has a paopu fruit keychain, a reference to Kairi’s wayfinder—Sora's bond with her.
The design references that it is a keyblade of light and notes that Kairi is Sora’s light in the darkness, Kairi is Sora’s light in a metaphorical sense it reflects in the design of the keyblade
Name:
The name of the oath keeper comes from Sora’s promise to Kairi after she gives him her lucky charm and promises to return it to her in Japanese refers to the lucky charm itself and the promise Sora made to Kairi respectively.
Design
The design of oblivion is designed to contrast with oath keeper just as oath keeper is a keyblade of light oblivion is a keyblade of darkness.
The teeth are in the shape of the Japanese character for darkness, and the hilt guard has two bat-like wings, a reference to Riku and Soul Eater which have bat wings.
The keychain is a different colored version of Sora’s necklace, this is a reference to the early stages Riku gives Sora a keychain just like a lucky charm Riku is Sora’s opposite his rival and best friend his darkness to his light reflected best in the keychain the black color is a reference to darkness this is a reference to Riku who used darkness and to sora who turned into a heartless at one point.
The diamond on the keyblade came from Hollow Bastian, this notes Riku and Sora’s confrontation in Hollow Bastian battle with Riku.
Name:
The definition of oblivion means the state of having forgotten associated with the memories that are passing away, the Japanese name for oblivion is passing memories; this might reference how Sora reaches the levels of castle oblivion Losing his memories in castle oblivion in the process.
Roxas can dual Wield because he is the nobody of Sora who possesses his own heart and veins, Roxas obtains a second keyblade after absorbing Xion so the two keyblades that Roxas wields are Sora’s and Ven’s Oblivion is Vens keyblade not Xion’s, Xion was the catalysts to roxas awakening oblivion but the second keyblade is ven’s not Xion's
The name of Oblivion and Oathkeeper notes Roxas and Ven as well, Oblivion notes the fate of nobody, fading into nothingness or oblivion, Roxas begins forgetting Xion following her destruction with Riku’s and Roxas memories of Xion fading during their fight, Roxas fate at kh2 he goes back to sora. This can be noted in how Even sacrificed himself to stop Vanitas from creating the X-blade and how his body is now residing in castle oblivion.
There is some reference to the oath keeper and what it has to do with Roxas, this notes Roxas's promise to Xion to set kingdom hearts free.
Soul Eater
The weapon that Riku was wielding in the game is not a keyblade but a sword, it is a sword without a blade.
the soul eater design,
Design:
The blade is shaped like a demonic wing. Demons are associated with darkness; this reflects the darkness that Riku carries in the game and how Riku is forced to rely on darkness in the chain of memories.
The eye on Soul Eater is the gazing eye in the series, Xehanort wielded the gazing eye in the game it references Xehanort and Xehanort's possession of him as Ansem in Kingdom Hearts.
Name:
Soul Eater's name is based on the ability of the dark knight class, kingdom hearts is a blend of final fantasy and Disney so it will have some final fantasy thrown in so it's not surprising that classes are mentioned soul eater can consume an individual spirit causing disease that can be fatal this can note to how darkness once consumed Riku and his reliance on it.
Way to Dawn
The second weapon Riku wields is the Way to Dawn; it is a keyblade, not a sword.
The keyblade design is meant to reflect Riku's nature as a being halfway between both light and darkness, diz even said that Riku belongs in the twilight.
Design:
The design of the keyblade is based on soul eater, the demon wing and the gazing eye are passed over in the design, and the hilt of the guard is comprised of an angelic wing and demon wing this references oath keeper and oblivion this note details notes his bond to sora who wielded both oath keeper and oblivion.
The angelic wing acts as the teeth of the key I pointed out before in this post that angels represent good so the angel wings reference Riku's alignment to good he is now aligned with the good guys and tries to help others ever he can be a nobody symbol is a note how Riku wore an organization coat worn by nobodies. The heartless keychain reference to Riku's dark form and how he transformed into Ansem in Kh 2
Name:
The name comes from the line at the end of chain of memories when Riku declares to Diz that he is walking on the road to dawn. Riku is scared of darkness now is accepting it and is walking his path and will do better to be a better person and not forget to protect what matters to him moving forward to a new tomorrow
Braveheart
Riku’s new keyblade is called Braveheart,
Design:
Braveheart is designed after a dimple key and is a lot more blocky and sturdy; it symbolizes Riku’s newfound strength that Riku finally acquires after many trials. The transition of Riku’s weapons references Riku's character arc that he goes through in the series.
Braveheart is used as a weapon of the warrior of light in Dissidia, use of final fantasy is prevalent in kingdom hearts and is noted in the weapons it symbolizes Rikus's role as a guardian of light.
The keychain at the end is a Mickey Mouse keychain the same one as the Kingdom key it notes His bond with Mickey and the fact that he obtained a real keyblade.
Name:
The name Braveheart infers how he finally overcomes his doubts and fears and vows not to stray from the path again he finally acquired the courage to face his fears.
Destiny’s Embrace
Is Kairi’s keyblade The reason Kairi can use a keyblade is that Kairi gripped Aqua's keyblade when she was being attacked by an unversed unknowingly having the keyblade passed to her.
It looks to be a feminine keyblade because of the flowers but when I looked closely it says a lot more about Kairi as a character and her bond with Sora.
Design:
The teeth at the end of the keyblade are a bouquet of colorful flowers and a silhouette of the heart. The heart notes Sora and Kairi’s bond and the flowers can reference Kairi picking flowers in Radiant Garden. The hilt guard has a heart with a crown on top that references that Kairi is a princess of heart.
Kairi’s keyblade design itself references Destiny Islands, the handle is in the shape of a breaking wave and has a vine wrapping around the shaft the wave references the tide that washes up in the sand the ocean of Destiny Islands the vine where the hilt is formed references the greenery on destiny islands. The keyblade has colors that resemble a sunset off of Destiny Island; the silken red rope references the sunset Sora and Kairi watched. Paopu fruit as a keychain is the recurring symbol of the bond between sora and Kairi
Name:
The keyblades name may reference that Aqua accepting that their meeting is not a coincidence was meant to happen and she was sent to Destiny Islands by Xehanort when she was a child to fulfill her destiny to find the keyblade bearer it could also mean that Kairi is embracing her role as a princess of heart. In Japanese it is called Destiny Place. I think this refers to Destiny Islands Kairi's home which is read as Destiny Place.
Now time for the bbs trios' keyblade designs, the designs of their keyblades are based on their names, stats, and abilities the keyblades Have the same color scheme as the bbs trio.
Let's start with the design of Ven’s keyblade
Wayward Wind
Design:
Ven's keyblade is shaped like a wing and wielded in reverse with the teeth of the keyblade having a wing shape.
The wing blade abilities note this design aspect.
The keychain is a green gem with silver feathers that can reference how Ven casts spells with spirals around it. Green is Ven’s main color so his color scheme is green since it's based on wind his attacks are based on the wind so the color green is associated with the wind as a final fantasy term there are some final fantasy elements sprinkled in
Aspects of the keyblade design such as the color scheme based on the armor on Ven’s shoulder when he transforms
Name:
The name of the keyblade is a reference to Ven’s name which means wind in Latin so it would have a name related to wind the English and Japanese names have something to do with Ven himself. In Japanese it is called fresh breeze, a reference to Ven’s Outgoing inquisitive personality. A breeze is considered refreshing, relaxing, and cool. This can show that Ven is refreshing like a fresh breeze.
The other name is wayward wind, the definition of wayward means very unpredictable and difficult to control and predict it can infer to someone who wouldn’t do as someone said this is a reference to how he runs away from the land of departure defying Eraqus's orders to look for terra and defying vanitas in creating the x blade.
Rainfall
Next up is Aqua’s keyblade rainfall,
Design:
The design is thin delicate, and feminine, the blade is thin and doesn’t look like a sword but a wand the keyblade is Based around a wand from a magician this notes that Aqua is the main spell caster and that she specializes in magic which is why the keyblade Looked like a magic wand.
The keyblade has a water droplet silhouette, and the keychain link and token are made up of water droplets. These details refer to aquas own name which means water in Latin.
The blue color scheme is the color scheme of aqua though the design references the armor that she wears.
Name:
I wanted to know what rainfall means to Aqua. Aside from referencing her name, the name is a reference to the weather. Rain is drops of water falling to the earth that can change depending on the size of the drops. I think this can reference Aqua personally, kind but wavering heart.
Earthshaker
Next is Terra keyblade earth-shaker,
Design:
The keyblade’s design resembles a hammer, in the game, the way Terra comes down on his keyblade in the gameplay resembles a hammer that can reference his strength.
The guard is crafted from omega insignias the omega is a final fantasy term used to denote strength and could reference terras physical strength, the keychain is a rock fragment a reference to his name means earth in Latin.
The color scheme and design of the keyblade note Terra's armor when he transforms since brown is earthy and Terra's name means earth in Latin. The keyblade is blocky; this can infer His strong indomitable will.
Name:
What does the name of the keyblade mean? Other than it could reference terras name relating to earth however earth shaker means bringer of earthquakes, an earthquake is a geographical phenomenon that the tectonic plates moving known to cause devastation what does it have to do with terra This can very well note his strength hut how he defies Xehanort to protect his friends and his will resisted Xehanort its something even Xehanort couldn’t predict.
Kingdom Hearts is a lot to remember I might have forgotten something while I was writing this post, I am not planning to cover all the characters' keyblades so I didn’t mention Micky, vanitas, Xehanort, and Eraqus I only focused on the main cast so I might have not mentioned it due to how much it is to remember.
While I was writing this I learned there are some things to keep in mind while you are designing this.
Look at the keys for references:
If you look at keyblades they are just regular keys, which can be handy when you design a keyblade riku’s for example is taken from a dimple key. The key doesn’t have to be taken from a lock key, it can be taken from anything including motorcycle keys. Look at different keys so you might be able to use them to design your character.
Keep the Disney and Final Fantasy intact in your design:
Kingdom Hearts is a blend of Disney and Final Fantasy and it is seen in the names and designs of keyblades, Kingdom hearts is an RPG so you might see Final Fantasy in it.
The kingdom key has more Disney-style elements in its designs with the Mickey Mouse keychain and the round and curved handle.
Braveheart, soul eater, and omega are terms taken from Final Fantasy, with Soul eater and omega based on abilities in Final Fantasy used in the names of the keyblades.
Even if you are not entirely familiar with Final Fantasy this might come in handy, there are a lot of Disney references so you might be able to relate to it more since you know more about Disney than about Final Fantasy.
The keyblade designs need to be based on the characters themselves:
I stated before that keyblades reflect the heart of the wielder and that is true in their designs.
This can be handy if you're designing a keyblade with your oc, it says something about the personality of the OC.
For example, Kairi’s keyblade is based on her bond with Sora and her home destiny islands. The flower can mean many things though mostly I think it is the flower Kairi used to pick in Radiant Garden. You can design it based on the oc’s memories like with Sora and his friends Kairi and Riku.
The trio’s keyblades are based on their names even their abilities are taken from their abilities Ven’s has attacks based on agility, Terra’s abilities on strength, and Aqua specializes in magic since she is the main magic user of the trio Terra’s and Ven’s abilities are based around wind and the earth since Terra strong as the earth, Ven is quick as the wind the way Aqua casts her spells in gameplay she sprinkles around like water since her abilities are based around water.
Be creative when you design keyblades:
When it comes to creativity you have to work with what you have. For example, if you choose light, or darkness for the main theme of the keyblade you half work in the constants like oblivion and Oathkeeper based on Sora’s memories of Riku and Kairi, Riku, and Kairi are light and dark shown in the keyblades. Oathkeeper and Oblivion are based on light and darkness so they have elements that correspond with that Oathkeeper and oblivion teeth have the kanji for light and dark further referencing this.
I believe that the reason why Wayward Wind is wing-shaped is that it has a lot to do with wind, so Ven’s keyblade has elements that are based on wind. I also think it symbolizes how Ven travels to other worlds via Ven’s keyblade glider.
Though not always that is something to keep in mind when you design.
This is the hardest post to write since there is so much to think about when you design a keyblade it gets tiring to mention all of it at the same time this post is not a how-to design your keyblade but but an idea on what to think when you are designing a keyblade for your oc.
I hope this post can help you or give you a better idea of how to design keyblades.

Enjoy this sneak peak at my next Riku/Sora oneshot, "Return From the Brink"! I hope to have the full version out soon!
-_-_-_-_-_-_-
Disney Town was always so lively and bright, filled with laughter, chatter, and various exclamations of glee. When they were hosting a party, that was heightened exponentially– especially a birthday party which was exactly the occasion today. Their dear Kairi was turning seventeen, and you could definitely tell she was the birthday girl based on her state of dress. Kairi’s short red hair had purple orchids woven through in vine-like patterns that matched her dark purple tank top with lilac fabric ruffles on the sleeves and over the chest that had all sorts of sparkles. The redhead was wearing white jeans with black boots to go along with it, and over everything she was wearing a sash that stated her position as birthday girl, a tiara, and all sorts of buttons and pins of the birthday variety that Xion and Naminé had enjoyed placing all over her between giggles. Riku had watched in amusement while they had all finished getting ready in one of the living areas of Disney Castle. Now, though, they were all gathered outside having fun. They were in between scheduled activities, allowing everyone to do what they wished. Terra, Aqua, Mickey, Minnie, and Isa were playing some kind of card game while observing everyone else. Donald and Goofy were working with Huey, Dewey, and Louie to make the tallest possible ice cream cone. Yen Sid and Merlin were running tests on the fireworks show they had prepared for later in the evening to ensure there wouldn’t be any hiccups. Kairi was enjoying a friendly dance-off with Lea– Kairi was being backed by Ventus and Naminé while Lea was backed by Roxas and Xion. Xion had originally seemed intent on backing Kairi, but she couldn’t switch her loyalties from one of her first best friends like that. Lea, Roxas, and Xion were inseparable as a trio, after all, especially now that they could all completely accept the fact that they had their own hearts and emotions. It had been an entertaining journey to watch Roxas, Xion, and Naminé figure out what it was like to have their own hearts, even if it had led to a few embarrassing moments of needing to explain societal norms. The sex talk had been uncomfortable for all involved, and no one let Lea forget that he was the one to make the innuendo that started it all. They had grown into themselves, though, and the three were flourishing. Everyone was.
Well, almost everyone.
Riku was sitting alone against the wall of a nearby building in the shade, silently watching everyone else enjoy themselves. He really did want to join in on the fun– he wanted to be able to truly smile with them– but he just couldn’t. All of these bright colors, the laughter, the joy… It all reminded him so much of Sora. Sora who was somewhere unknown, most likely by himself, and far out of Riku’s reach. His dear, sweet, sunshine Sora had been gone for a year and a half, and Riku hadn’t been able to relax much since he disappeared. He still made routine checks once a month to each world they knew of to ask the residents they knew if anyone had any leads on Sora, but it was always answered in the negative. Many of them had said that he was most likely gone permanently and had tried to convince Riku to focus on other things. He knew that they meant well, but he vehemently refused. Even the idea of giving up on Sora made his skin crawl. The only other ones who seemed as certain as him that Sora was even still alive were those who had literally lived in his heart at one point. Even so, it seemed that Kairi, Naminé, Ventus, and Xion were beginning to suspect they had been wrong. Roxas was the only one Riku could talk to without being told to stop looking and just to give up. Roxas had been a lifeline for Riku ever since Sora’s disappearance, and wasn’t that ironic? The person Riku had worked so hard to destroy and return to Sora now was one of the few things keeping the silveret sane.
.........
“... Riku?” came a shaky, disbelieving whisper.
Riku jumped up and whipped around, his aquamarine blown wide as they met confused and fearful sapphire. Riku couldn’t believe his eyes. He reached his hands up to scrub at his eyes before looking again to see that the boy was still there.

The "Luxu is Ventus' Dad" Theory 3rd Anniversary Remastered Edition
AKA: Theorizing two characters are related based on their lack of screentime together. Because this post is now 3 years old and we have some more information, I'm finally rewriting it.
Due to the release and completion of Dark Road, we now have a more solid idea of Luxu's personality and can say with relative certainty that we never met the original Braig. That was always Luxu. This was always likely, since as far back as BBS the guy was trying to snag MoM's keyblade back from Xehanort, but Bragi's mannerisms being revealed as Luxu-isms basically confirms it 100%.
This means that Braig's one (1) shown interaction with Ventus is also Luxu's one (1) shown interaction with Ventus.
The interaction goes as follows:
Braig (who is Luxu): How 'bout you leave the popsicle with me, so you can go have your little fight with Terra. You can't be too happy about him deep-sixing your Master. Aqua: Who are you? Braig: You think you two have got some grand role to play. As if. You're only here so that when I finish you off... Terra will succumb to the darkness. So... who wants to go first? Ventus: Shut up! Braig: Oh, so this kiddo thinks he's a full-fledged Keyblade wielder? He's got the angry look down. Aqua: Go ahead if you want to waste your time. Keep trying to drive us apart with your mind games. It'll never work!
Now, this is admittedly not immediately promising, but it actually gives us a lot to work with. It's their only interaction, and it's not exactly a positive one. Even though it's only a bluff, it's still a pretty heavy threat.
[Please note, lots of things after this point, Tumblr has eaten at least once.]
But then, if it's their only interaction, then...
Why does he talk like there have been more?
For that first bit, we know he's not talking about Roxas at that point in KH2: Roxas doesn't glare at him like that during Days.
And the second image is even more interesting. Most people at this point are seeing Xion as Sora. Axel, one of her best friends, sees Sora's face. Xemnas, the guy who's made of Terra (who trained alongside Ventus for multiple years) and Xehanort (who trained Ventus for a time and grew up dreaming memories of someone else’s life that include him) sees Sora's face.
Xigbar sees Ventus. I dunno about you, but to me having one hostile interaction with a teenager ten years ago does not override psychic mumbo-jumbo better than knowing that teenager for a cumulative 4 or 5 years. Even if you have amnesia-- especially by Kingdom Hearts rules, those memories are still there, even if you don't have access to them.
(Before that line, he also comments "What a blast from the past." Wouldn't be a "blast" if they met, like, once.)
And, as of Dark Road, we know that Luxu is willing to let the people he cares about die.
Bragi's confrontation with Baldr begins with him saying "You... It was you..." in reference to Baldr having killed, like, a decent chunk of the people they know. This is not an emotionally detached reaction! Luxu cared about these people! Maybe not as peers the way they cared about him, but he did care! He does care about the ones that are still alive!
So what does he say after revealing his identity and disarming Baldr in a single motion?
He's not gonna do shit! He demonstrably could kick this guy's ass, but he chooses not to. Even though he cares about these people. Even though one of them is the grandson of someone he already demonstrably has a connection to from back before he wound up this jaded. That one, which he later on again did nothing to save, even with more and more reasons to do so stacking up.
Let's go back to the scene where Luxu and Ventus actually, you know, talk to each other, because there's actually a subtler detail in it that I want to talk about.
"Oh, so this kiddo thinks he's a full-fledged Keyblade wielder? He's got the angry look down."
In this one line of dialogue, Braig calls Ventus "kiddo." You might be wondering, "What's the big deal? He calls Roxas that all the time!" Yes, he does. He also calls him "Tiger," and Xion gets called "Poppet," both with notable regularity.
Contrast that with how he talks to, say, Sora. He still talks down to him, but he uses nicknames much more sparingly. In fact, he doesn't use any for Sora until Dream Drop Distance. All through Kingdom Hearts 2, the Organization is trying to stir Roxas' consciousness within Sora, but Xigbar doesn't call him any of the nicknames he used for and around the guy the whole time.
Not until DDD, when they've already given up on that plan. He starts out with a "sleepyhead", but there's a very specific moment I want to draw your attention to. A moment I may have neglected to mention earlier in this post, despite its relevance.
Xigbar comments on the thing Sora does that reminds him of Ventus. Then he calls him "Kiddo." And then he never calls him a nickname ever again. I'm not kidding. Never ever.
We don't see a lot of him interacting with young people outside the Heart Hotel, but we do see once in Kingdom Hearts three he calls the Real Organization's Riku Replica "Kid." Not "Kiddo," but "Kid." An interesting distinction, don't you think?
So, to recap so far: One interaction, yet Xigbar talks about Ventus consistently. He's the only one to see Xion with Ventus' face. He uses nicknames more often on kids that remind him of Ventus, and specifically uses a different variation on a kid that doesn't.
"Okay Ace," you're probably thinking, "I can accept that this proves a connection definitely exists between Luxu and Ventus. But why are you so sure that they are father and son specifically?" Well, I have a few reasons.
We don't technically know how old Luxu is, but he is an adult when Ventus is like 10 or 11. It's not impossible for them to be, like, siblings or something, since some people have kids pretty far apart, but it's not dreadfully likely to me. Based on my own experiences with my big sister, they don't really act like siblings to me, but I suppose that's a personal thing. You could say Luxu "sounds young" in Back Cover, but once you hit a certain point a lot of peoples' voices stay the same for a long time.
Nomura has stated that the next part of the series will be focusing on "bloodlines." We already know we're probably gonna be seeing Eraqus' grandfather in ML and that guy's probably gonna be Brain. Xehanort's already descended from Ephemer. Characters are already descended from each other.
Luxu is short for Luxuria, the sin of Lust. So, from a certain perspective, Xigbar canonically fucks.

KH Characters with FF jobs
I'm mostly basing these from FF3, FF4, and FF14 jobs since those are the ones I know the best but I did research other games' jobs for some. This is mostly going off of characters' personality and fighting styles rather than weapons or stats.
Sora: Onion Knight Riku: Dark Knight/Paladin Kairi: White Mage
Sora could be any jack-of-all-trades job but I picked Onion Knight out of a FF3 bias and also he would look cute in that hat. Riku is basically Cecil Harvey from FF4 so he gets two jobs. Kairi being a princess of heart makes her a White Mage and what is her shotlock if not a flashier version of holy?
Roxas: Samurai Xion: Blue Mage Axel: Assassin
Roxas and Axel get their jobs from their lesser Nobodies, and Axel will stay as an Assassin until Square releases a game with "arsonist" as a job. His FF14 disciple of the hand job would be "ice cream maker." Xion's copy abilities make her an Blue Mage and I wish KH would take more advantage of that ability because then she'd be op.
Aqua: Dancer Terra: Knight Ventus: Red Mage
In an effort to not make Terra the same as Riku he gets to be a Knight but I could also see him as a Dark Knight or Warrior. Aqua's spellweaver ability is basically magic dancing so Dancer. I was struggling for Ven and ended up with Red Mage because 1) its my favorite and I'm not above being biased, 2) all Keyblade wielders could arguably be Red Mages because of the use of both white and black magic along with fighting with a sword, and 3) he also deserves a cool hat.
Vanitas: Ninja Naminé: Summoner Repliku: Dark Knight
Naminé technically never participates in combat but summoning other entities to fight for her is pretty much what she already does just without the memory manipulation. Repliku sacrifices originality for "well his weapon is called Soul Eater anyway". Vanitas was the hardest of these three because he's yet another possible Dark Knight. I gave him Ninja for his warp downslash ability. Alternatively, he could be a Black Mage and Ven a White Mage, but I wanted to go beyond making every darkness character a Black Mage or similar.
Ansem: Black Mage
My joke job for Ansem is the pugilist/monk because he's the only character to fight barehanded (not counting his KH1 final boss where he had a double-bladed version of Soul Eater). He could also arguably be a Summoner and call other Heartless to fight.
Xemnas: Sorcerer Xigbar: Gunbreaker (Sniper) Xaldin: Dragoon Lexaeus: Warrior Vexen: Puppetmaster Zexion: Illusionist Saïx: Berserker Demyx: Bard (Dancer) Luxord: Gambler Marluxia: Reaper Larxene: Ninja
Most Organization members' jobs are just their lesser Nobody types, though for Demyx it would make more sense for him to be a Bard. (But that water does dance after all.) I chose Gunbreaker as an alt job for Xigbar because what's better than two guns? Two sword guns! (Imagine a KH4 bossfight with No Name formchanged as two gunblades.)
Lexaeus, Vexen, and Zexion are the only Org members who don't have lesser Nobodies so I chose them myself. Lexaeus is a Warrior (fights with a giant axe), Zexion an Illusionist (self-explanatory), and Vexen a Puppetmaster (replicas).
Let me know if you have other ideas for alternate jobs. Also I might do a part two with the KHUXDR characters is anyone is interested.

Part 2 of my brain being unhinged.
As I said last time, this is the basic lore run down for my KH X GI au because I have a problem.
Basics: Like I said last time, the basic run down is that Sora ended up in Teyvat instead of Quadratum, so now Riku and Kairi are going there to try find him, however the power that sent them there also dragged a good few of the others along for the ride. What I didn't mention last time is that Teyvat is like Quadratum in the sense that is very difficult to get into, so as an 'entry fee' to get in they're not allowed to leave until 'peace has been restored', aka until the plot is over.
Visions: The interesting part, I know the whole group is Descenders and realistically couldn't get a Vision, but it's my au so I'm gonna twist the rules and say for a reason the gang isn't aware of they can get them. Everyone can still use their regular powers though, and a good few characters won't even have a Vision by the time the main team catches up with them. Because of this, Vision's don't have to match the characters associated element and are instead given based on a trait they show when they unlock their ambition, for example Elrena is going to have an Anemo Vision alongside her usual lightning powers. I'm mostly basing my decisions off of this post as it gives a good case for a unifying trait of all the elements.
Keyblades: Every nation is going to be treated as it's own world basically, so after completing the Archon Quest every Keyblade wielder who was present get's a new Keyblade to play around with. Part of this was for rule of cool, the other was because drawing Destiny's Embrace made it very clear I had to get people more options so I don't have to murder my hand drawing some of these things. Also, not gonna say who or when yet, but certain Genshin characters are gonna get Keyblades as well, some intentionally, a lot by accident-
Princesses of Heart: Like I said, every nation is gonna be treated like it's own world, so every nation is gonna have one of Teyvat's Seven Princesses of Heart, though in this case Princess is more of a gender neutral term as a girl, guy or anything in between can be one of the Princesses.
Is the main plot gonna have any changes: Not gonna spoil what specifically is gonna change, but the KH gang being in the plot is gonna spawn a lot of changes, some out of necessity so the KH crew don't steamroll the plot, other things I changed because I think they would be neat, and some changes were purely because the plot desperately needed some ironing out in areas (spoilers but not really, Inazuma is gonna be changed the most-)
Characters: Gonna have some character focused posts later but for now I’ll just go over the basics of where everyone starts out.
Riku and Kairi start in Mondstat, with Ienzo also being along for the ride.
Naminé is assisting Albedo up in Dragonspine
Lea/Axel is working for Beidou so she can get him and Roxas to Inazuma, meanwhile Roxas is more or less just Vibing with the Liyue kids.
Isa is working for Yae at the Shrine to help him and Xion, meanwhile Xion herself is pretending to just be a helpful random girl but is actually with the resistance.
Repliku is vibing in the Saberuz theatre with Nilou cause he as nothing else to do, and Vanitas is making questionable life choices yet again (he’ll get better I swear-)
Sora um… he’s complicated, but let’s just say he isn’t tied to any one nation and he’s having a not great time-
Laurium and Elrena are both members of Spina di Rosula, however the former is also the part time tea party planner to Furina and the latter spends her free time helping the twins with their act.
There’s still more but I wanna leave them a surprise so I’ll get back to them later.
That's about everything I can thing of for now, I'll be posting more art and tidbit's about this au soon, so hope you all enjoy, and here's some concept art just so this post doesn't look too boring.

I just discovered your blog and I already love it! Can I ask you what would be the favorite video games of the groups Destiny, Sea salt and Wayfinder please? What would they play or like? If that's too much feel free to reduce to the characters you like the most or ignore, it's really okay! Thank you and good vibes!
A/n: Woo just slowly gonna try and go through the requests! I added a few extra bonuses, hope you enjoy <3
Multiple KH Characters and Their Favorite Video Games!
Destiny Island Trio:
Sora: Fighting games- preferably Smash. He mains himself main characters (Mario, Link, Kirby, FE protags). He sucks. He is the guy who button mashes and corners players to beat the hell out of them.
Riku: Fighting games- preferably Tekken or Street Fighter. Mains Jin or Lee. Attempts to be strategic but gets way too competitive fast and is busy mashing all the buttons off the controller.
Kairi: Way too good at fighting games. But she’d probably play lots of Pokemon or monster collecting games. She has many setups that are both competitive or just fun ones for a fun challenge.
Sea Salt Family:
Roxas: Persona fanboy. He hasn’t played 1-2 but he can’t pick a favorite between 3-5. Plays all the spinoffs or has someone else play them for him. His favorite characters are the protagonists. Hears jazz music and assumes this is a Persona 5 reference.
Xion: Resident DMC and Souls-like player. Girl is a monster on the controllers despite being just being born. The way she can effortlessly combo and dodge all attacks makes her a fearsome opponent.
Axel: Mario Kart. Axel is pretty average at video games (unless they’re like, retro or arcade) but Mario Kart? He’s on it like Donkey Kong. He mains Funky Kong.
Saix: He has two wolves inside him- the logical gamer and the second, more absurd gamer. Sometimes he wants to unwind, so he might pick up a basic platformer like Mario or Sonic, but on the other side- he’s a menace in a Warriors game. He’s hacking and slashing. He’s killing everyone in his path. Also, he’s a completionist. He has to get the best markings and everything. Won’t settle for less.
Wayfinder Trio:
Terra: Minecraft and fighting games. He tries his best lmao. He’s just got pretty big hands so often he messes up with combos but he’s also pretty impatient and tends to spam certain moves.
Aqua: Rhythm games definitely. Watch her effortlessly get all perfect scores in one try. Even the hardest OSU! map has nothing on Aqua. She also kicks ass at fighting games.
Ventus: He likes Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games and Mario Party. He always loses at almost any game against his friends though.
Bonus Characters:
Namine: I feel like she enjoys visual novels and Okami. She really loves aesthetic games and is a patient player.
Xemnas: does not play video games beyond Candy Crush or Solitaire. You kids and your “Splatoons” or “Bayonettas”, go pick up an old Final Fantasy game smh.
Xigbar: Call of Duty. Fortnite. PUBG. Overwatch. He’s a menace and plays all sorts of FPS games. His sniping abilities IRL translate very well into games. Also likes the Hitman games.
Vexen: Bookworm and civilization manager games. He’s big on Age of Empires and is a top talent within the community. He loves playing as the Vikings or Mayans for competitive play. He’s also made many custom maps.
Zexion: Tower Defense managers and Ace Attorney. He loves deducing the crime or finding the best way to defend his base with the minimum amount of units possible.
Xaldin: He doesn’t play games (lie). He plays romantic visual novels. Plays all kinds of them. Otomes too. He is a lonely man. Also loves cooking games.
Lexaeus: farming games. He just has a fun time playing Story of Seasons. Rune Factory is nice too but he prefers SoS because he loves the farming aspect more.
Demyx: Guitar Hero. No argument. This man did all the crazy achievements and was going at it for days.
Luxord: Yeah yeah solitaire and gambling- have you considered he loves playing the Yakuza games? Well now you do. He loves the games dearly and cherishes them and likes to be the biggest Yakuza on the block. Also yeah, he plays lot of gacha games.
Marluxia: Doesn’t really play video games, but he’d most likely play some horror games with Larxene or town management games.
Larxene: Horror games or multiplayer games where she can troll people. Banned from multiple servers and people refuse to play with her minus Marluxia. Aesthetically though she loves Trish from DMC and thinks Vergil is number one.

My kingdom hearts ships really just have become yes.
I straight up made this list because at somepoint imma draw these ships whether it's aus or not.
I like Sornami this I don't know why but I always felt Sora have more chemistry with Namine even if it's based off fake memories for the first half. But also I'm still slightly prefer them with others as well.
Love soriku there's no question their I reblog it like alot the ship has stuck with me sense kh2. And hasn't ever left. But other than that I'm a sucker for friends to lovers troop and this was the first friends to rivals to enemies to friends to loves. I'm not one who normally like rivals to lovers or enemies to lovers but this ship opened that up for me especially with how Riku tries so hard to redeem himself for Sora when he doesn't even have to.
Sorkai in kh 1 is great but shaky about it later on especially with reading the novels and looking at the translation of kh 3 also cause I think Kairi deserves better than how Sora treats her sometimes. It's like she's an after thought sometimes and it sucks.
Now Kairi with anyone else is higher then sorkai like roxiri, vankai, venkai, namikai, xion x kairi and sometimes and this is really just sometimes Odette x Kairi. I love all the ships and how their concepts could be.
I love namixi, rokunami, rokunamixi (ot3 like I think it'd be wholesome if they all were together and caring for eachother), rokushi these just are wholesome regardless of how you look at them.
Repliku and Namine I don't really ship Riku in Namine because I think Nomura shot that down instantly by changing the cutscene but also I liked the idea of Riku treating Namine, Kairi and Xion all similar sense he tends to interact slightly similar with each of them. But Repliku and Namine is both sad and wholesome it's probably due to the biased I have for liking the fan made trio with her the lost trio.
Vanami and Vankai so I got a reason for liking these two ships one the concept of Vanitas probably seeing Kairi as weak (in his eyes) or something but growing and interested in her for standing up and facing him despite that. Maybe they'd start off at odds not liking eachother or Vanitas being interesting while Kairi just sees him as a threat. The difference with Namine is I think he'd slightly mellow out not to much but find the fact she can manipulate memories fascinating. Maybe she reaches out wanting to help him even if he's full on darkness she probably would want to help like with Repliku but this time she feels she can is in more control to.
Okay okay the ships Namikai so I liked the aspect of how when they connected they have a light connection not to say that means anything but when Kairi needed someone Namine came in kh 2 and understood her like no one else even if she is technically a form of her Namine develops into her own person outside of Kairi and I just think it's wholesome which ever way you see it platonic or romantic.
Xion and Kairi I think in Xions case this ship is interesting to say the least not that it's bad just sense Xion in that weird grey area, she's Kairi, Sora and Riku at the sametime she develops on her own but still was the memories of Sora of Kairi and possibly Riku as well (cause why else did she experience a memorie only Riku has) so I guess she could have feelings for Kairi off Sora's memories of her but then again as she developed and Kairi slowly grow feelings over her seeing Xion becoming stronger despite her struggles.
I weirdly like Kairi and Strelitzia as a concept it's cute and I feel like wholesome from most comics or people who've talked about it. They tend to have wholesome ideas.
Venkai okay this one is just yes for me while her time away from Sora and training with Aqua she could get to learn not only combat but that she doesn't have to mimic others. From Kairi in Melody of memories in the Japanese translation she seems to blame herself slightly about Sora's death but not only that but from her combat in kh 3 it mimics mainly Sora's but with some of Riku. With Kairi's character constantly trying to catch up to both I feel like with time she lost a bit of herself due to that. From not finding her own way to train or fight that's why I think not only with the training from Aqua could she have time to reflect and think but get advice as well. In that time whether romantic or platonic I think Kairi and Ven would interact alot getting to know eachother and it being healthy to see the Wayfinder trios interactions. It might make her miss her friends but also might make her resolve to grow stronger that much firm. Now to the way I see Venkai sense Ventus is treated as the kid within the Wayfinder trio having someone around his age or also treated could lead to interesting bonding or Ventus mentioning how after all they been through Aqua and Terra still treat him like a kid. Kairi who probably doesn't really mind bring treated like she's younger much but might open up a bit more. Maybe over time they both talk about their worries or the events that happen to find some sort of closure. I think even if Ventus and her I think would he cute I also know full well it can be platonic as well.
Roxiri I will die on this rarepair ship. Okay actual reason I just love the concept the struggle with Roxas not knowing if she likes him for technically being a part of him or if his feelings are his own or Sora's (yes Xion probably go through that struggle to) while Kairi might end up hanging around him for see that he feels left behind to. I know Nomura doesn't address it much but from days and both Xion and him wanting to see where Alex went to when Xion forced a fight on him I do think Roxas should have a bit more struggle with those two events especially with them coming back not saying they wouldn't be friends again I just think they should talk about it maybe there's a stiffness in the air till they interact and in this time Kairi who also feels left behind alot probably talk about it growing a slow bond. From Kairi giving suggestions like Roxas talking it out especially sense thats how her and Axel worked it out. And Roxas letting her know that she doesn't have to face things along or feel left behind and to go at her pace. Maybe they could start having small bit training like he did with Xion in-between her training with Aqua. I feel like Roxas though would probably start off a little bit distant when she approaches probably dealing with the fact now that he's out only to find out Ventus is there and he looks like him exactly. Roxas struggles didn't really get addressed much but I do think if they were Kairi might help him out a bit even if it's just advice. The concept just intrigues me and I love it so dear.
Lastly RokuNamiXi I like Xion and Roxas I personally prefer rokunami a bit more but I also love the concept that they would just date together from me shipping all three pairs of Namine and Xion, Roxas and Xion and Roxas and Namine. I didn't wanna just let any of them be a third wheel. I think it'd be wholesome and sweet to see them all dating eachother from having feelings for eachother.

What are your thoughts on the idea of Namine restoring Ventus' memories of Union X? I've seen it a couple times and I don't think it'll happen but I think it could make some interesting fanfics. I also like it since it would mean Ventus and Namine would meet which I'd personally love to see.
OK so I've definitely talked about it a tiny bit in this post here (which someone drew some wonderful art for eheh), and a touch here BUT i ended up making a one-shot based off the idea here.
Hey so. Apologies that this took *checks calendar* 20 days but I kept getting distracted by drawing ideas. I AM here now though and want to thank you so much for you patience and the ASK i love talking abt stuff like this eheh.
Ok, in general I LOVE the idea. Though my biggest fear is that ACTUAL KH will have Naminé recover Ven’s memories offscreen, so I can’t say I want it to be canon just because the fear of like. Ven’s lost memories being magically recovered without any real payoff is just so real. Best case scenario is that it’s a separate plot where we see Ventus struggle with his recovered memories and worst case scenario is that it’s offscreen, so… I’m trying not to get my hopes up (and failing).
BUT onto the actual Nami and Ven interaction. As someone who loves them as friends and a ship there is so much potential here. You can boil it down to two major things though; how Ventus reacts to his recovered memories, and how Naminé feels about having to use her powers again. I feel like this idea allows for SO much angst for each character and a chance for them to connect on a deeper level.
Like, Naminé was made to use her powers to hurt Sora. She clearly carries a lot of guilt still, and I’ve seen SO many headcanons about her swearing to never use her memory powers again that it’s practically canon in my eyes. Of course, she eventually DOES have to use her powers when searching for Sora (as said in re:mind) , but I think she only looks through Xion and Roxas’ memories, no altering them. So, she’s sworn off altering memories, helping people remember and forget. She only searches through memories when she’s told, and of course, never wants to hurt anyone with her magic. Naminé is tired of being “the Witch”… and luckily, Ventus doesn’t see her as that. I’d like to imagine that they’re friends and get to know each other a little before the idea of using Naminé’s powers on Ventus is even a thought. Like, Ventus IS aware of Naminé’s powers from the beginning, but he’s only heard whispers of it, little facts. Nothing super major and concrete, just a general “memory magic is a thing Naminé does”. I think he does ask her a bit about it, but it’s silly questions. Questions no one’s ever asked Naminé, like, “do you ever use your magic to find your keys?” “do you remember everything you’ve ever read?” “oh, if you can control memories, can you read minds? quick, what number am i thinking!” Just silly little ‘can you’s and ‘what if’s. It makes Naminé laugh, because no one’s ever thought of her magic like that. As something that can be used for the mundane, for little situations where no one’s memories are at stake. I think eventually she would open up more to Ventus about her magic, because he sees it as something that’s not too scary.
Course, after a few deeper conversations, Ventus would be able to catch on to the darker parts of Naminé’s powers. He might even… think of how scary they could be. I don’t think he’d ever be scared of Naminé, but one day he might be sitting alone, thinking of what it’d be like to forget what he has right now. Wonder, for himself, how many of his own memories are really real, since he’s forgotten so much. He trusts Naminé. But he realizes how terrifying it would be, to have his memories altered.
But around this time, Ventus starts questioning a lot. His memories have always been muddled, and now that he remembers pieces of his life while he was Xehanort’s apprentice, before Vanitas came to be, Ventus has this lingering sense of “I don’t really know who I am or who I was, do I?” Then there’s Chirithy, who is proof Ventus had another life he left behind. Ventus begins to wonder what that life was like. Begins to question if the Ventus he is now is anything like the Ventus he was before. In a way, he views his lost memories as… a different person, almost. Ventus might even wonder if, with that line of thinking, he’s simply…someone else, pretending to be Ventus. The “replacement” of the original.
I think Ventus would be scared to confront that original self.
But he would have to, because of course there was something special about Ventus’ past life and it was something that could hint to what’s happening right now and where Sora is and who the Guardians of Light have to fight next. So when everyone looks to Ven for answers, Ventus looks to Naminé, and the process begins.
Ventus feels bad that she’s using her powers because of him. But Naminé smiles (it must be fake. It has to be fake, it doesn’t quite reach her eyes) and nods, knowing her magic is needed and everyone is counting on Ven who’s counting on her. But when they’re alone, away from prying eyes and the rest of the Guardians, when the lights are dim and Ventus’ smile fades, Naminé asks him if this is what he wants.
Ventus is a bad liar, but he’s got Sora’s stupid habit of insisting he’s fine. Unlike Sora, Ventus can’t keep smiling and he’s WAY less convincing. So no matter how many times he denies that he’s scared, Naminé whispers:
“I know you’re scared, but it’s not a bother, Ventus. I’ve done this before, you’ll be fine. As soon as I find those Chains, I’ll reconnect them, and then-“
“But what about you?” Ventus interrupts. “I don’t- don’t want to force you to do this.”
They’re both scared. Really scared. And I think they’d realize it then, that Ventus is secretly scared of losing himself to his memories, and Naminé is secretly scared of messing up. They don’t want to go through with this-
“But we have to. For Sora.”
Ventus takes a breath.
“If- if my memories can show us any hints for what we have to do to find him, I-I think we need to do this. But-“
“You’re still scared.” Naminé looks Ven in the eyes.
Ventus swallows. He nods.
“And so are you.”
They leave it at that. Mutual recognition that they’re both scared of what will happen next, but that this is something they must do. They are in this together, and they trust each other enough to acknowledge they are afraid.
Eventually, Naminé has to search through Ventus’ memories. Alter the Chains connecting them, thread them together in ways she’s only even had to do for Sora, when he fell asleep in Castle Oblivion. It’s almost like an operation. Terra and Aqua hold Ventus’ hands and say their “see you soon”s before he drifts to sleep. Angel the Wise and his Apprentices have to assure them that Ventus won’t be sleeping for so long, not a year and definitely not 12. The process will take a while, since Ventus’ memories are so twisted and Naminé needs time to untangle them, but she has support. She’ll be able to help him soon.
Naminé and Ventus are alone again, before he must sleep.
“Hey, Nams?”
Naminé looks at him quietly. Ventus smiles.
“I know you haven’t started yet, but… thanks, Naminé. In advance.”
Ventus felt the urge to say that. He couldn’t tell why, but… well, Master Eraqus always told him to be polite.
Naminé manages a smile, Ventus falls asleep, and she begins her work.
Anyways, things don’t go… well in my head. There’s a lot of remembering bad things and a lot of Naminé going “oh shit, Ven’s gonna have to remember this and he’s going to feel TERRIBLE.” a lot of her realizing what stuff he’s been through and now, she’s in this weird place where she KNOWS and it’s up to her to decide whether Ventus should remember or not. And fuck, it’d be so much pressure for her. just…. you ever had to sit with a friend while they describe something horrible they’ve been through? it had to deliver bad news? Naminé is just feeling all the worst parts of that. Sorry for Ventus, sorry for Strelitzia, sorry for everyone. She wants to help but she doesn’t know how, all she knows is that she can either help Ventus remember or hide all the memories away again and pretend she couldn’t reach them.
(also, Marluxia was there apparently and Naminé does NOT want to unpack those feelings goodness gracious no)
Now, whichever choice Naminé takes will be a mess of angst. Because on one hand, she can let Ventus remember and everyone will deal with the consequences, or she can make him forget, and only she would know about the Age of Fairytales and Strelitzia’s murder and how very young Ventus had been when he was dragged into everything. Either way, there’s no going back.
It’s all a matter of whether Naminé has the courage to ask for help and risk hurting others, or pretend everything is alright and take on the pain for herself and herself alone.

QUESTION ATTACK!!!! as a fellow kairi stan what are some of your personal hcs for her or what you wanna see for her in future games or just like. general kairi thoughts because you are so based for the rightful kairi appreciation
HEHE HIIII I want 1) playable kairi and 2) i want the destiny trio's dynamic to be flipped and for kairi to save sora and riku for once. emphasis on riku because i feel like a lot of fans & even the games forget that riku and kairi genuinely care for one another.
my ideal kh4 would have kairi basically go "idc if you dont think im strong enough yet im tired of just standing here while u guys need my help" and basically decide to go to quadratum despite rikus wishes and she saves riku from getting plummeted by heartless (or whatever enemies are in kh4) or smth and shes like haiii ^__^ and riku apologizes for considering her too weak in melody of memory (im sorry that scene made me mad because i dont think riku would say that hes literally the one who gave her her keyblade in kh2!! but i digress) and they go off to find sora together. but i dont think itll happen this way sadly :(
i loveee kairi so much shes my sweetie. shes so kind and i want to be like her honestly, i dont really kin as much anymore but if there was any character from kh i would want people to associate with me personality wise itd be kairi!!! i feel like i judge most kh fans based on how they feel about kairi because im like if ur not a kairi supporter im not rocking with u... idk... shes definitely in my top 3 kh characters i think, soras #1!!! (i love axel/lea but sora is literally my baby thats my son sora kingdomhearts)
headcanons?! i think she and lea become besties and siblingpilled because once she meets him and gets over the Scary she realizes. hes just a loser lol. And honestly i think she already knew that during kh2 he was kind of a pathetic kidnapper. I think she xion and naminé do fun girly stuff and force lea to tag along and he has to carry all of their bags when theyre shopping and pay for their fun little treats
That also reminds me since lea and kairi are both from radiant garden i keep thinking about making up some sort of au where they end up being adopted siblings which im not sure how itd work out i just want to imagine baby kairi and teenage lea growing up together :,)
#ask#THANK U I might reblog this with more cuz there might be thoughts i have that i forgot about. But yeah. im a kairi fan....
