"i put my desires before his needs" is literally one of the most incredibly obvious lines that sets up eddie's gay arc like. eddie having all this guilt and repression that he doesn't fully understand himself but his attention has always been directed towards christopher so he can't even begin to unpack why him pursuing his desires would be such a terrible thing. eddie feeling like it's wrong for him to go after what he wants. eddie underscoring how he lied (to his son best friend and girlfriend in that order) and how that affects how he sees himself as a father. eddie just wanting nothing more than to protect his son........even from himself. especially from himself. because if he's a good father he won't let himself look at that little locked box in the corner of his brain that says DO NOT OPEN. oh my god eddie we are getting you out of there

I dunno man, I feel as from a very young age, even when I was too young to understand what sexual and romantic attraction is, I was told that bisexuality, especially in girls, is something people do for attention at parties, so for thirteen years I haven't told anybody, living in deep shame and denial, somehow convincing myself that I was doing it to feel interesting even if I had not told a soul. porn also is of a mind that everyone, especially women, are all bisexual, so I guess it was normal to do it with a girl, like something you do with your husband on his birthday.

I talk to my friend who is also bi who says she only picks men cause she doesn't want to burden her parents with a same sex relationship since she can choose a man and just be normal. I do that, too.

It does feel fake. It does feel like I'm doing it for attention. What do you mean you like all these little genders? Then some people ask you about being pan and you can't just say it's still basically the same since what do you mean you like all these little genders? You can just choose to be normal anyway. Just pick the opposite gender and be normal.

In a way you're not normal if you make out with your friend at a party or have a threesome. You're cool and modern and not uptight and a great wife who understands the needs of her husband, who likes a little fun. You're fun.
