so when you first saw him, you respected him quite a bit, though his features did make him seem a little out of place as compared to malleus, silver and sebek

you quickly learned that those exact features made him incredibly popular

maybe overly so, because every time you saw him, you could see him flirting with an entirely different person

the first time you actually spoke to him, he was looking for his misplaced pencil case, still wearing the overly large science coat with the large goggles resting atop his head

"Excuse me dear, I seem to have misplaced my pencil case and I have no idea where it could be. Would you be a dear and join me in my search?"

you simply raised an eyebrow, and shook your head no

he pursued his lips and made a pouting face, but you just stared blankly at him

relenting, he sighed and turned around to find someone else to help him with his search

you could faintly hear a "... Am I not cute enough today?"

fortunately (or not), you stumbled across a pencil case at the edge of the staircase, with diasomnia, light music club, and bat keychains attached to the one zipper

hmm, he must have dropped it while switching classrooms

so you bring it to the diasomnia house room, where you were greeted by silver

you entrusted the pencil case to silver, but not without him asking for your name and class so Lilia could say thank you properly

of course, you tried to leave, really not wanting to get involved in any sense with the playboy and his fanbase

but silver being the dear that he is insisted on having your name

the next day, as you were walking to your classroom, Lilia appeared seemingly out of nowhere

he thanks you, but starts rambling off "Oh I knew I was cute enough yesterday! How sweet of you to help little old me, khee hee!"

you try to brush off his gratitude with a quick "you're welcome" and "it wasn't a bother really"

but then he's spouting "It must be fate that you were the one to help me! Darling, won't you let me return the favour? Perhaps, with a date?" he says while batting his eyelashes cutely

so you rejected him honestly, but rather than be upset, his eyes are just twinkling mischievously (uh oh)

after that event, you just started encountering him randomly in your school life

popping up randomly to ask you out because he looked particularly cute that day

asking you to come over to the light music club after school

you continued to reject him, thinking he was just playing around like with all the other girls

but then one day, he came up to you with a request

"Dear, would you happen to be good at baking?"

see, silver's birthday is coming up, and apparently it's all the rage nowadays (so he says) to have a homemade cake rather than a store-bought one and "of course, it's also more nutritious"

but, rather infamously, Lilia's not the best cook

see the white day incident, where he made chocolates in return for all the ones he received and almost succeeded in murdering everyone's tastebuds

so nobody really wants to work with Lilia in the kitchen, not even his devoted(?) fangirls

usually you would've rejected his request, for two reasons, one being the rumours of his cooking, and two being not wanting to become further involved with him

but he seemed so sincere about his wish for silver, and so downcast at being unable to make the perfect birthday cake that you couldn't help but agree

on the condition that he listen to your every word whilst working in the kitchen

and thank god for that condition, because you quickly learned why he was a bad cook

"But this recipe isn't nearly nutritious enough! Shall we add some lettuce? Or perhaps..."

Lilia, we're baking a cake, not a salad...

you felt so bad for whoever was his partner in home economics

but you gave him the task of whisking the eggs after having him prepare the stovetop, where you planned to melt the butter in a saucepan...

"There was one time I went abroad and brought something back for Silver..." Lilia recounted, his hand hard at work whisking the eggs.

But just as you were getting lost in his storytelling, disaster struck. The stovetop suddenly caught on fire, flames dancing dangerously high. Panic welled up within you, and before you could react, Lilia acted swiftly.

"Careful!" he exclaimed with urgency. With the grace of a gallant knight, he pulled you close, his body a protective shield against the fire. His surprisingly serious face caught you off guard, the fiery glow reflected in the depths of his crimson eyes. His arms were a fortress, secure and tight around you.

Thump. Thump.

In a matter of moments, Lilia turned off the gas and moved the saucepan away from the stovetop, as if he were used to dealing with emergencies in the kitchen.

"Are you alright, dearest?" he asked, genuine concern in his eyes.

You took a moment to collect yourself, your heart still racing. "Oh, uhmm, yes, I'm fine... Wait, did you turn the stove all the way up?"

Lilia looked a bit confused as he admitted, "Yes? I wanted to melt the butter faster."

You couldn't help but shake your head in exasperation. "Lilia!!!" you exclaimed, incredulous at his impulsive cooking decisions.

He chuckled, seemingly unfazed by the near-disaster. "Well, it did the job, didn't it?"

thankfully, you manage to finish the cake without either of you getting hurt

it's not the best looking cake, but it definitely has a homemade feel to it, only enhanced by the chopsticks used to support it

you also get invited to silver's birthday party! lilia keeps trying to take pictures with you and ask you out

only this time, you can't help but feel more affected by his attempts than you were before

maybe you've taken a liking to the playboy afterall ;)

"Goodness, isn't it about time you give me a chance, darling?" Lilia playfully pouts, placing his hands on his hips in a mock display of irritation.

He sighs, before a rueful smile graces his lips. "Well, I suppose it's alright for now. I'm a very persistent man, you see," he says, his unwavering gaze fixed on yours.

Why do people love to project their family issues into fictional women so much? [I need to bitch about the way fandom treats Caterina]

I've seen so happen to Leandra. You yell one (1) time at your child on screen and you're the worst mother in Thedas. Obviously women need to learn how to turn their emotions off when they have children and you can't express your negative feelings even if your other child had died a terrible violent death on your eyes 5 minutes ago. Btw you can't explain such feelings in a calmer "healthier" way either bc that would mean therapy speech and that the game has bad writing. No feelings for mothers, okay? They're robots.

Leandra haters walked so Caterina Dellamorte haters could run. While I get it that Caterina isn't beating child abuse allegations, Caterina's image in fan fiction is truly something else.

Since WHEN she is homophobic??? Since when she is racist??? Is there a transphobic line from her I somehow missed? Did she misgender Rook somewhere?

Caterina is a character of questionable morality and yet fandom insists on her being way worse than she already is. Please I beg you pay attention to the source material. She isn't 100% evil. Not only Teia makes it out alive after calling Caterina "nonna", we also learn that Caterina is secretly very fond of Teia. I wonder why.

Caterina doesn't beat the shit out of Lucanis and Illario just because she is an evil abusive control freak. She does so because that's what crow training is. She does so to ensure her last surviving family members continue to stay alive. She isn't throwing her fucking flip flops at Lucanis for bringing home a bad grade on his math assignment. Or just because she had a bad day at work.

If I had to judge her parenting skills, I would be more concerned with Caterina's favoritism and her treatment of Illario. The harshness of crow training has nothing to do with Caterina's personality. She isn't even the worst crow trainer. Whoever trained Zevran, Taliesin and Rinna didn't even care if they live or die. Caterina cared. Mistreatment of Illario is however 100% Caterina's fault.

I would also be concerned with the reasons of her favoritism. Is Lucanis actually better than Illario or is he somebody Caterina can project her grief for her dead daughter into? Her favorite daughter being Lucanis' mother seems too much to be a coincidence. And it paints Caterina in somewhat sympathetic light anyway. You can't grieve for somebody if you have never loved them in the first place.

I don't understand writing Caterina as a terrible (grand)mother-in-law for Rook who romanced Lucanis. There are zero cases of her being rude to Rook. She looked reasonable but stern enough to be the first talon in eight little talons. Ofc she's still hard to deal with and there may be conflicts but there are literally no reasons to believe she is a bigot. Boiling it all down to petty fights between her and Rook for who gets Lucanis looks pathetic. He is ~35, for fuck's sake. And she is what, at least 70? Caterina wouldn't have 8 grandchildren if she was so possessive. Rook is also a god-killer which is a great PR move for house Dellamorte, having not one but two god-killers.

The desire of some rookanis shippers to strip Lucanis of almost everything he is looks so off to me. Death IS his calling. He IS aware that his family isn't exactly perfect, he doesn't need Rook to tell him that. Why is it so hard to understand that people may love something and understand all its flaws at the same time?

The petty envy from some Rooks screams "pls somebody help me I'm very insecure when it comes to relationships and splitting affection" without characters' authors recognizing the envy for that it is. Why do you want Rook to be the center of Lucanis' life so bad? Why do you want to strip him of his love for his family, profession, his friendship with Neve? What will be left of him if you do so?

I'll wait some months before opening ao3 again. It did give me a thousand yard stare. Would like to hope that at least the mischaracterization will go away eventually...

so, as we know he was romantically involved with both of his companions. In the World of Thedas it's stated that after Rinna's death, Zev couldn't get any job done and Taliesen probably covered up for him. Then, Zevran decides to take a job in Ferelden that nobody else wants, because it's basically suicide. And despite all that, Taliesen comes to Ferelden once again, hoping he can cover up for Zev's mistake and save him. And he gets killed for that.

It's kind of a shame that all we get is Zev going "yeah he was important... anyway, here's the earring". I know, he's cutting ties with The Crows and all, it's a pivotal moment, but the man was devastated after what happened to Rinna. I'd assume Taliesen didn't mean as much, but surely it warrants a little more than "I'll be sad for a minute"

i like to think about the guys's family situation a lot because it's barely, and i mean barely, touched on in the show.

these are just some headcanons that i believe, but i feel like most of these are universal.

kendall: so obviously, we have ms. mama jennifer knight and katie. his dad's out of the picture for reasons unmentioned. however, kendall and jennifer's actors confirmed that initially, it was supposed to be that kendall's dad cheated on jennifer and walked out on them (presumably right before katie's birth.) it makes a lot of sense when you put it into context with kendall's actions throughout the show. for example, in s2ep1, "welcome back big time," kendall literally almost ruins his relationship with jo after suspecting her of cheating on him, even though she reassured him multiple times. another example is during "big time concert" when kendall is upset at gustavo because he "didn't even say goodbye." i think that struck a particular nerve in him.

also, speaking of gustavo, i know we like to talk about the parallels between him and kendall. i mean, the show even outwardly mentions it in the first episode. in "big time mansion," kelly mentions that gustavo didn't really have a chance to have a fun childhood. another popular headcanon that i totally agree with is that kendall had to grow up faster than other kids, what with his dad walking out. they both had to grow up fast in their own respective ways.

james: we actually get to see BOTH of his parents! even if we see his dad for literally one second during big time concert. also, semi-unrelated, whoever cast lisa rinna as his mom is an absolute fucking genius. anyway, we got to know a lot about james's family. his mom and dad are divorced, and his dad then goes on to marry a woman 15 years younger. james's mom is controlling and overbearing, but ultimately just cares. back in minnesota, i'd like to think that james mainly lives at his mom's place, but his mom's a workaholic and isn't home that often. james would probably stay at his dad's place every weekend or every other weekend. and, i don't think he would be fond of his step-mom at all. his dad and his step-mom would have a baby and i think james would hold a lot of resentment towards the kid like he's being replaced. but, he just considers himself an only child.

carlos: we get to see both of his parents ! but they're actually super chill and normal. we meet carlos's dad (i can't remember his name, if it's even mentioned) in "big time break," who is a police officer. and then, of course, we meet his mom, sylvia, in the mom episode. and she is an it data analyst! i see carlos as the baby of the family with 2 or 3 sisters that are college-aged and older, so they were all moved out, even back in minnesota. idk imho, carlos probably has the most normal, traditional and loving family.

logan: his family situation is the most vague out of the 4. we meet his mom, joanna, in the mom episode. god bless the mom episode. and she is a real estate agent! logan is definitely an only child. his parents are both work-aholics, so they are not around. i see his dad as having a medical job, maybe a surgeon, which is why logan wants to be a doctor so bad. i think his dad holds very high expectations for him regarding academics and whatnot. like "son 'a' is for AVERAGE so i expect you to get them." yadda yadda.

IT'S JOEVER.

I BEAT ORIGINS. my heart is so full and i have so many feelings but ahhh I loved it SOOO MUCHHHH!!! Honestly surprised with how quickly I attached to my Warden and her story, all the companions are SO SO great. 10/10 best dragon age game by far.

I really enjoyed leaving Milana and Alistair to very much caring for each other after everything was said and done despite the unrequited romance. 😭💗 My heart is so full about those two being such such good friends. And I especially love that Morrigan and her became so close like sisters in the end too. Live well, my friend. Live gloriously. BABY GIRL I LOVE YOUUUUU. Special kiss to the wind for SHALE. Honestly the best person Milana loves to be snarky with fr. lol. NOW ONTO ZEVANA....

Just before the big battle with the Archdemon and I was exploring a few options and I personally headcanon it's a combination of these two scenes that Milana and Zevran share. Milana worried to put him in danger of the Archdemon only for him to tease and insist to come with her before she relents/agrees and finally admits that she loves him. There's something so profound in him not saying it back and yet equally so with Milana saying it to him. She doesn't even need to hear it back in this moment. She knows what he feels mirrors her own; he would choose to be by her side at the end in a shared suicide mission than not at all. That alone is her courage, her strength, her resolve. And Zevran knows it love despite himself but how fucking painful and scary is it to hear those three words in the face of uncertain death? When the last time he heard those three words from Rinna he had damned her and himself? To recognize once more his heart has been touched so irrevocably? He may be grateful fate has brought them together but the circumstances of it all are so, so cruel. Fate is a tricky whore!!!!! What a lovely and incredibly intimate character moment for the both of them. Ugh <33

Saber Fav Male has to be Ren, I feel SO BAD for him throughout Saber. Like yeah, Touma and Kento are GOING THROUGH IT, but Ren is just a kid and there's no one there for him cause everyone else is grieving - poor kid slips through the cracks.

Saber Fav Fema- MEI!! IT'S MEI! HOLY SHIT I LOVE MEI!! She's just an actual ray of sunshine??? I adore everything about her

Fav Pairing It would be a lie if I said Kento/Touma, because the truth is I am weak for kaijin/human pairings so I have to say Ren/Desat. I love that despite their slightly hostile vibe they really care about each other in a way no one else has before.

Least Fav Character would have to be Yuri I suppose. I would say Saber's only flaw is having too many characters, and by the time Yuri shows up there's almost not enough screen time to go around as is. So it's not Yuri's fault, per se lol

Who's Most Like Me? In Saber that's a hard one. I would probably have to say Kento, especially post resurrection where he, in a way, has to learn how to be hopeful again.

I know bc of my pfp that everyone associates me with Lisa Rinna (amen!), and someone on here the other day mentioned that they miss her on RHOBH and I have to say: THANK YOU I COMPLETELY AGREE! Soooo many fans wanted her off the show for her “mean girl behavior” — even though she wasn’t any worse than the rest, and is if that isn’t the entire point of the show — and then they all said they wanted Brandi fucking Glanville back??? bffr. Rinna absolutely helped make that show what it is, just as much as LVP did, and I’ll stand by that, not to mention she’s FAR more entertaining than any of the shows other “villains”.

Also, everyone is so far up Sutton Stracke’s ass that they don’t care how callous and rude she is. I get that most of the fandom wanted RHOBH to become the Sutton-and-Garcelle-hand-holding-kumbaya show, and now that that’s basically what it is, everyone complains that it’s boring. Huh!
